Cast of Characters: 516, 691, Sanary Rondel, Duke

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Having tracked down the nightclub where her two favorite Confederate pals are, Yari Takane has come armed to the teeth. Pulling up in a tinted model-t to the back entryway, the woman is dressed in full-on ski-mask and tactical gear. It's a large club, with a bouncer and mobster types patrolling the front. The back is far less guarded.

The woman has enlisted a certainly scaley acquaintance for the mission.

"I'll cut the electricity, you go in and start making a scene. Then we start taking out the guards and get them back. Shock and awe. Ten minutes, in and out. Agreed?"

Yari is certainly grim today, and more than a little brimming with anger for her two friends. She steps out of the model-t, suckerpunching a mobster before finding the junction box. Opening it, she cuts the wires.

Inside, not but a hallway down from the back-end of the club, a group of five mobsters laugh as they drink. One of them, the new Don, nods to his two 'acquisitions'.

"Heh heh, good job girls. You've both been a credit to our organization. Too bad about your lizard friend! Serves her right, though, goin' after the Don. At least it was quick."

Should Duke bust in, he'd almost immediately come across a trio of lounging guards with their tommy guns in a hallway. One door leads out into the club, and the hallway extends to the right and left. The power goes out, and screams erupt from within the club.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary's been adjusting fairly well to her new temp job, all things considered. Serving drinks, getting people sloshed, convincing them to waste all their money on more booze with the false idea that she might actually like them more... Strangely enough, the healer's actually been fairly popular at the club because of how standoffish and unpersonable she's been.

Granted, having a mind control device in her headdress has been doing quite a bit in keeping her obedient in case all the armed thugs couldn't. She's in the middle of pouring one of the mobsters a drink as the new Don speaks up, a disinterested grunt escaping her.

"Yeah, whatever. As long as I keep getting paid, I don't really care." All influenced by the headdress, of course. She's wearing something halfway between a kimono and a maid outfit, and she doesn't seem to be using that eye if her pouring is any indication. The glass is full, but overflowing slowly while she just keeps on pouring.

Thankfully, the lights going out might be just enough of a distraction from anyone actually noticing that right away. Not that she knows the lights are out, either.

Duke has posed:
The Guikmon X listens to what Yari has to say and gives a nod, "Right!" It seems like an easy enough plan, he distract, Yari gets them out, and everyone can go home for supper! Man... food seemed like such a great idea right now.
As soon as Yari makes her move, Duke makes his. The four foot red dino-dragon leaps right through a window and rolls along the ground, before letting out a low growl. Flames lick around his sharp teeth and maw, before his eyes flicker blue.

It is about here that the power goes out, the flames around his muzzle illuminating him as they eyes glow blue. Then with a blast and roar out, "FIREBALL!", does a blast of fire go rocketing out and exploding across a table or two, igniting the area with explosive flame.
That should keep everyone busy!

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham is nearby in what looks like a full length red sequin cocktail dress, leaving the shoulders bare and showing quite a bit of cleavage. Her long black hair (which is easy to see since she's not in any armor) is down and around her shoulders, her already impressive six-feet height enhanced by a pair of red vinyl 6-inch stiletto heels. The side of the dress is slit up the side on one side, making her look just a bit like Jessica Rabbit, thanks to the gangster's old timey fashion, just without the purple shoulder-length gloves and fire-red hair.

She's currently serving drinks, holding a silver tray as she sashays around, though those that know her will know she never wears a choker with a gem in it outside her armor, like the one she's wearing right now.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
The Don just laughs, smirking to Sanary. "Ya will, ya will toots! And you can stop pouring now. So, we've got a job for you gi...the hell?" Plunk!

Out in the club area, the mobster that was just about to give poor well-dressed Ferham a hard time all but trips and grabs her from behind as the light goes off. The man drops his gun, screaming like a little girl. Embarrassing. Poor Ferham probably gets that tray knocked out of her hands too. HOpefully it won't ruin such a nice dress.

But light flicks on in an odd way as a fireball bursts into the hallway, and rips open the door to the club proper. A table catches on fire, and two mobsters flee right past the digimon and out the back door.

Only for a swift draw of her sword to cleave two heads. Flicking her blade clean, she sneaks into the darkened room, taking a right towards the rest of the hallway.

"Duke? Search the club. I'll check the back." How hard can it be to find the two, after all?

With Sanary, the Don scowls as he turns on a flashlight. The other mobsters load their guns as they open the door.

"Alright, find the intruders and bring 'em to me!" The man shouts, taking out a pistol. Reaching over, he all but shoves Sanary out at the front of the group.

Inside the club, another trio of gangsters forms up, and starts shooting at where the fireball came from! Not too accurate in the dark, and even possibly threatening to hit Ferham accidentally, but it's a withering hail of bullets coming for Duke!

Duke has posed:
The Child stage Digimon doesn't recognize Ferham right away and he seems very focused on the task at hand, because when the bullets start to come down from the darkness in the distance, the little Digimon was on the move.
He leaps up on top of a table, then over it. A bullet rounds coming close to nailing him, he then leaped up and spun his tail around to knock a bottle of booze right for one the mobsters, aiming to where he saw the muzzle flash.

As he lands back down, those gold eyes then take notice of the woman in the lovely dress and while it doesn't click right away, that is when those eyes go wide, because he knows the scent. "...Ferham?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary stops pouring once she's given the word, sniffing at the bottle once before setting it aside. The tables haven't been moved so much that she doesn't know where everything is, at least, although she does raise an eyebrow at all the commotion.

"O... Kay. Is that the job or what?" She sounds more confused than anything else, not even seeming all that aware of her own eye where it would be rather convenient to have considering the mention of intruders. She grunts lightly at being shoved out, a low grumble escaping her as she slips her usual tomahawk out from within the kimono.

"I'm on it, I'm on it. Don't know how the hell I'll find 'em, but." There's a light shrug of indifference before she starts going down the hallway while tapping the blade of her axe against the wall. There's no functional reason for it, of course, but it does help give her that crazy-girl-with-an-axe vibe as she tries to search for the 'intruders'.

The ones she can't see. Yep. Great plan, boss.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham goes down as the man from behind grabs her to break his fall, or try to steady himself--either way, that tray of sparkling champagne glasses goes clattering down and there is a tinkling of broken glass, the alcohol spilling out onto the carpet. Ferham picks herself back up, blinking over towards Duke as he makes quite the spectacle.

Whatever was being used on Fer was undoubtedly different than Sanary, who still seemed like herself. Ferham on the other hand... well, her normally expressive green eyes had that trancey, glassy look to them. What was more she was apparently pulled back towards the Don, acting like hse was protecting him. Wuh oh. She could more surprisingly quickly in those 6-inch stilettos of hers, at that.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Duke's strike is surprisingly accurate! The glass bottle shatters in the face of a surprised gangster, and he goes flailing backwards until his head hits a table. Thunk! The wall of bullets lessens suddenly, though there's the sound of more people rushing /into/ the club. Two more gangsters on the left and the right of the entryway into the club proper fire off shorter, more accurate bursts at where that bottle came from! By now, there's plenty of tables to duck behind if Duke is so inclined for cover. Anyone with sense here is already down on the floor to avoid being shot.

With Ferham joining the Don and company, Yari has her work cut out for her. Leaping her way silently up a wall and into the rafters, she creeps along on all threes up there until her well-adjusted eyes spies a familiar pair of figures. Reaching into her belongings, she pulls out a smoke grenade, and quietly pulls the pin. Then she just chucks it down towards Sanary, Ferham, and the Don and gangsters. POMF! Horrible, irritating smoke fills the area amidst the darkness, Yari waiting for her chance to strike! She'll have to apologize later to the two girls, but they're clearly not acting themselves.

Duke has posed:
Duke watches Ferham suddenly walk off and he calls out to her, with his ear fins going straight back, "Ferham!" However as soon as he calls out, that is when bullets start to fly as more gangsters come in. He yelps in surprise as a bullet clips him across the cheek and he ducks behind a table, then starts to make his way behind another table as bullets cut up the wood work.
He cowers there for a moment, his tail wrapping around him as he tries to wait out the bullets, his claws digging into the ground, with his eyes tightly shut. His teeth grit tightly and he has to just wait it out... but why? Why did Ferham look that way? What was going on?

His eyes snap open, before there is a disturbance across everything electronic in the area for a moment. The lights actually start to flicker, the radio starts to play static and random tunes. Then with a flash of light Duke digivolves behind the table and while in that moment the mobsters may see a six foot and half monster, they would soon find themselves in the dark and along with a table being thrown in their direction followed by a ground shaking roar.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Well. There's definitely /someone/ there if the sound of the gas escaping something is any indication. Holding the tomahawk in front of her, she backs away from the source of that noise slowly while facing in the same direction down the hallway. Just because she can't see the smoke doesn't mean she doesn't have some semblance of self-preservation, at least, and only having to worry about enemies coming from one direction just might be enough to give her some sort of advantage.

"I know you're there. Come on out and I won't kick your ass too hard!" Grinning madly, she slams her axe into the wall for emphasis and leaves a sizable gash in the wall, although her expression does drain somewhat once she realizes what she had just done.

"... You missed!" There. That should be enough to keep the Don from thinking she had put the hole there.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham's head jerks towards the sound of Duke's voice, recognizing it if it were child or adult stage--her hand rose up as if to try and reach out for him, but she stopped midway, then seemed to hesitate. Whatever was happening to her apparently had to step up it's game to keep her entranced.

When the gas shrouds the area around them, Ferham is unfazed by it. She isn't bothered by the smoke, but can't see either, so she attempts to quickly run out of the radius of it, likely exposing her to attack. She strode out of it, looking around, that same blank look on her face, idly grabbing someone that ran right for her and throwing them to safety behind a table. Well, she wasn't being gentle, but she was not letting people get killed, either.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Those bullets just /don't/ stop coming. These gangsters are determined, although now the digimon gets a heck of a breather as they're still firing where they last saw that bottle go. And then light flashes, and that six and a half foot monster is more than enough to give them pause.

The table flung at the duo of mobsters helps, and they're neatly hit. Both go down in a tangle of limbs. Gunfire stops, though it seems another gangster bursts in from the front!

Ferham's quick work saves a patron from being shot by a flailing, table-stunned gangster misfiring! The smoke grenade has a fairly small radius, and so it's not hard to get out of.

"Comin' for ya toots!" Shouts this newest gangster, bravely ducking in front of Ferham and firing at the monstrosity. Little sense in the man, but at least he has cahones.

As for Sanary, and co, Yari isn't dumb enough to answer. She smoothly crawls along the rafters with nary a sound, only to stop right above the Don's head. Tail wrapping around the beam, she flips downward in a graceful swing like a woman on a trapeze, single hand grabbing the leader by the throat. Pulling him up into the rafters with her, the gangsters are utterly surprised. She'll squeeze the man, in a choke-hold, and calls out.

"Let the girl go and I'll give you back your man. Sanary? Get out of here! Don't you recognize my voice?" The gangsters all point their guns, but seem reluctant to fire now that she has their boss! Can Sanary 'save' the day?

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary can't afford to pay much attention to the sounds further in the club as she hears a vaguely familiar voice from behind her. How did the intruder get past her so easily?

Oh right. Being blind. Why, oh why did the Don even send her out this far in the first place? Sighing lightly, the axe-maid turns around quickly to try and find the source of the voice again, narrowing her eye slightly as she rests the axe against her shoulder.

"Maybe. Should I care? You're an intruder, and I'm-look! A distraction!" That always works, doesn't it? It worked plenty of times back home, at least, and she was betting this would be no different. Right after saying that, she rears her axe-hand back before flinging the axe where she can recall hearing the voice from. There's enough force behind the throw to sink the tomahawk into a wall, never mind someone's flesh.

The accuracy, though, leaves much to be desired. Is it even going to hit anyone from this distance?

Duke has posed:
The Growlmon X is far more humanoid and perhaps far more intimidating then the cute little four foot Digimon. Those teeth snarl, before he lets out another roar and with a sweep of his massive hand claws, he throws another table across the way. before those gold eyes shift over to Ferham who was reaching out to him and then he watches her protect someone. "Ferham..." He rumbles out to her.
That is when a mobster makes the wrong move by getting between Duke and the Reploid and he snarls his teeth in his direction before rushes right at the man. As he gets in close he roars out with that aggressive ton in his voice, "Ferham! Wake Up!" As he gets in closer to the man, even as bullet clips his shoulder and another one into his thigh, he spins around his body to have his massive tail slam into the man to knock him aside.

Then he reaches out with those clawed paw hands to pull Ferham back. He was oddly careful with her, given he has claws and all that. Looking her dead in the eyes before rumbling at her, as if trying to figure out what is going on. Given the poor Digimon has never seen anything like this before, it was all a bit confusing.
Though his stare was broken when a few shots impact his backside and he lets out a roar in pain, before throwing her down to the ground out of the way, before he himself crashes onto the ground. Struggling to get back up, as blood drips down from the bullet wounds and pixelated damage could be seen at the edges.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham's gaze is cast towards the man that Growlmon knocked down, rather than the immediate danger to herself, which likely makes it much easier for Duke to grab her, which she does. Ferham at first stares right at Duke, and those green eyes of hers are still quite glassy, expressionless, before she tries to say something.

She's cut off by the sudden cry of pain from Duke, though there is a queer sense of /something/ sinister with that thing around her neck, but there probably isn't much time to inspect before she's thrown to the floor.

"D-Duke... collar..." she manages, as if through great difficulty, peering up at him from the floor, on her hands and knees.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari might have been in trouble if she hadn't snatched a hostage. As it stands, the ninjette just clings to the Don harder as Sanary throws her axe! Splat! Right in the chest. Yari can't help but 'hurk' and hiss in pain as part of the axe goes through the man and into her shoulder.

Right, Sanary is kinda bloody strong. Ripping the axe out of herself, she shoves the body of the second Don to die to the trio towards the gangsters. His body becomes paste as they all fire, and Yari dodges taking a boatload of bullets at the last second. Sanary's axe clatters to the ground at the ninja lands, and then she's making handseals.

"RAITON!"

A burst of lightning crackles through the group of gangsters, felling the majority of them. That last bit of stray aetheric lightning arcs up, and righ tto Sanary! Specifically, her head, right towards that head-dress of hers!

Duke is like a freight train with that tail, and the poor mobster goes flying as he's smacked by it straight into the bar. Bottles crash, and the poor man lays down in booze-soaked agony. At least he's alive! A voice calls over Duke's radio.

"...Found Sanary. Seems she's been...brainwashed, or controlled. Trying to bring her to her senses. Killed the leader. Have you found Ferham?"

Duke has posed:
The Growlmon X cringes where he is down on all fours. That tail of his sweeps side to side, even as he coughs, there was a low level growl, those pupils of his trying to thin out to slits as the internal war between his primal versus logic struggles for control. Duke shakes his head, as he goes to stand back up, he raises up his head and lets out a howling roar in defiance, before turning himself around to stare at any of the remaining mobsters. He huffs out flames from his nostrils, before leaping behind another table closest to Ferham.
He hears Yari speak over his comm, but doesn't respond. His focus on the reploid as she explains there is something with collar, bringing she brought his attention to it. The Digimon looks at her, then at the collar, before his claws light up with plasma energy, "...don't... move.." he struggles to get out with a low rumble in his voice.

Duke brings up his index claw and goes to cut the very collar off using the plasma energy with a swift swipe. Which shoulder work, unless Ferham or some mobster does something to throw off what he is doing.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
That was a good sign, right? Someone got hit! Except... That vaguely familiar voice said something again instead of being dead. Well. Shit.

The sound of all the guns firing at once is enough to get Sanary to keep her head down, at least, and she keeps one ear covered while listening for anything that might actually be useful for her. She doesn't suspect a thing even as the lightning jumps through the gangsters, and she's caught completely unaware as at the shock to her headdress.

At least as unaware as someone can be to having something shock their head. "Son of a...! Goddamn what the... Ass!" Grasping her head painfully and twitching on the ground as she sits there, the healer eventually stops at the feeling of something unfamiliar on her head. And the rest of her body, even. "What the hell is this thing?"

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham is shaking, or looks to be--in reality she's trying to force herself to stay still, in contrast to what the controlling device is trying to get her to do. With a ~snick~ that collar is cut cleanly free of her neck, and falls to the floor. There seemed to be... circuitry visible on the inner side, and Ferham blinked, once... twice. Then suddenly her eyes were back to normal.

"Duke! I... where are we? and why am I in this dress?" she attempts to get up before realizing she's in some rather towering heels, and accidentally trips, falling against the Growlmon with an OOF!

"Whew... my hero," she shakes her head and blushes a little, before looking over his shoulder and noticing the men SHOOTING AT HER FRIEND.

"I don't think so... TRANCE!" there is a flash of light and a small reddish foxbot appears near her, as if teleporting in. "It's time," she nodded to the strange three tailed foxbot before it leapt into her, and there is a flash of light.

Once it is gone Ferham is standing there, now clad in what appears to be a reddish orange fox armor suit, with three long red tails. With a snap of her fingers, everyone who is firing a weapon will suddenly have the illusion cast over them that their guns have turned into snakes and spiders!

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Though men storm in, some readying frag grenades, it seems the newly restored Ferham saves the day! Suddenly there's snakes in their hands, and a bunch of screaming gangsters as they throw down their guns! It seems the ones near Sanary that aren't dead do much the same. The duo of Duke and Ferham now have a lovely opportunity to make their escape, all of the gangsters running out of the building!

And so is the crowd. They'll ahve to push and shove a bit to get out.

Yari looks at Sanary, ignoring the gangsters for now.

She frowns. "It's likely what's causing you to do this. You are not yourself. Take off that headband, Sanary. You know me. It's Yari. Come on, we need to get you out of here." Then she'll slowly walk forward, trying to reach out for her friend and pull her towards the back and the waiting car!

"I've got Sanary! Duke! Let's get out of here before the cops arrive! Get Ferham and run!"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
There's definitely something very wrong with whatever's going on here. Taking a moment to channel energy into her eye, Sanary catches a glimpse of all the screaming and/or dead people before giving Yari a blank stare.

5t"Hey, Yari. Uh... Yeah, let's get the hell out of here." She complies easily enough as she gets back up with the Au Ra's existence, still looking somewhat dazed even as she glances at the chaotic scene around her. "I'll just... Ask later."

She can't recall getting /that/ drunk. Then again, considering their surroundings, there was probably a lot of information she'd have to ask about. For now, however, her main focus is on following Yari out of the club right after grabbing her axe from the slushy remains of the former Don.

Duke has posed:
Ferham falls down on top of Duke with an ouf and the Digimon grunts. He stares up at her for a moment, before he raises an eye ridge at her blush, but doesn't bring attention to it, as soon has she gets back up on her feet, the Digimon is ready to move.
As the mob freaks out cause of Ferham's awesome transformation and her causing them to freak out, the Growlmon X nudges his head toward the back. "Yari. She is ready. We must go." He then goes to step away from Ferham, before he turns back to look at the group. He huffs out some fire before he growls lowly.

He /could/ burn this place to the ground, but what would be the point? Instead he just allows his mohawk to bristle with annoyance, before he goes to make his way out, making sure Ferham stayed ahead of him.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham is quick to use Trance's ability set, erection an additional illusion of the quintet simply not being there as they try to traipse out, effectively using her hologram powers to stealth them. "Alright then, lets go, can't stay here!" Ferham calls to her friends, looking back at the Growlmon following her, and motioning him to come quickly.

"Wish you'd let me help you out Duke, instead of the other way around, but come on!" the black booted feet of the Reploid are moving quickly now, using some hard-light hologram projectiles to shatter the windows if they need to exit quick that way.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari is all but dragging poor Sanary along, arm around her as she ducks out. The lizardess smiles briefly, worry and concern in her face.

"I'll explain later. Uhh. You'll want to be sitting down." Then she gives Sanary a reassuring smooch on the cheek before openign the door to the model T and pushing her into the driver's side. Then she kicks the side door open before hitting the front. The vehicle's already revved up by the time Duke and Ferham exit the building! It'd be easy to just hop right in and for the quartet to ride off!

Thankfully there's no need to shatter windows, but the holo-bullets do much good to discourage the crowd from over-running them both! It's a quick hop into the car now, and once they're all in place? Yari zooms off with indecent speed, very nearly clipping an incoming cop-car! Zooooom! Down a few alleyways, and they're home free. Yari looks back as she narrowly avoids hitting someone's grandma.

"Duke...thank you. Are you two unhurt?" Pause.

"I...like the outfits. YOu two look beautiful."
