Echo (640) has posed:
It's a bad scene. A quiet, pastoral looking small village in the countryside. It looks like it might be English, or maybe Irish, but not that rustic, either. It looks about last century, if compared to modern times, where the countryside and the beauty of it still hasn't left, despite the effects of industrialization and science.

That is of course before these poor people and their families were horribly mutilated and their village razed by some kind of maraurdering band of raiders. The smoke filled skies and smouldering, charred buildings do tend to put a bit of a cramp on the lovely scenery. It is in this state that Echo makes good on her proclamation of 'taking a walk', of course with her this is much more likely to mean 'fly' and as these lands were around her personal domicile the streaks of smoke rising up into the sky were likely not difficult to notice.

Red vinyl 6-inch stiletto pumps set down in a dirt road just outside of town, the rest of the bat following, the wide sleeves of her longsleeved but only thigh-length red gauzey dress billowing in the wind. The wind helped carry the smoke, and as the conical pink-lined ears of the bat perked up she noticed the deathly silence over the entire area.

To Echo, with her morbid sensibilities, the quiet was almost too serene and lovely to break by interfering, but it was the proper thing to do, she supposed.

"Rise," came a single command uttered from her red lips, snapping her fingers.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
For the bulk of the day, Kyra's attentions had been elsewhere, arranging for future employment and gigs at various clubs throughout the multiverse. It'd occupied a good deal of her attention too-excited that she may be able to spread her art in the future. Not too long ago, however, she received a report via the usual connections of a zombie infestation in a small town. Apparently the /entire/ population and been slaughtered and raised.

Kyra was quick to respond, her own skillset being very heavily slanted for dispatching the undead. While other monsters she would usually never engage without a party before her (at least not the stronger varieties that aren't normally encountered in everyday Galiandan life), undead were something Kyra could easily tackle on her own. Between her arsenal and her magic, she was set and ready to go!

It takes her time to arrive, the village being rather remote, but when she does show up she's already armed with her Galiandan-style gun in her hands. There's a shimmer of green energy around her, indicating that she's already laid some protective spells down upon her before arriving. "Ugh..." she murmurs, "IS THERE ANYONE WITH A PULSE HERE?!"

Echo (640) has posed:
There is at first nothing but the sound of the wind, to reply to Kyra. But then, after many moments, there is the noise of a bit of wood being scuttled aside--then what sounds like footsteps. The footsteps are heavy, plodding, and soon silhouettes begin to come into view--men, women... children, walking as if in a daze out of the smoke and the fog that seems to roll in from deeper into the village. Their pace is leisurely, as if Kyra's shout had woken them from a mid-afternoon nap, but as they begin to come closer she will notice they were likely not just sleeping.

Some sleepwalk, others stumble, some waddle on the stumps of legs they were left with, many raise their arms and stare from ruined eyes in her direction. And in the middle of it all comes Echo, walking with her legs close together from the heart of the throng of zombies, who seem very uninterested in her, despite that strut and the sway of her white-furred hips.

"Good evening, may you come freely and of your own free will, and leave some of the happiness you bring... which is so lacking in their own!" she gestured to the crowd of zombies, who stopped and paused at a simple gesture from her. She definitely had some kind of hold over them.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra has enough experience to not make the mistake of 'oh they're just sleepwalking' as the former townsfolk approach. She knows that sleepy shuffle and liesurely pace. These are basic zombies, she realizes, meaning that clean-up is going to be pretty easy. Just as long as she kept moving, she should be fine. Getting surrounded wasn't such a bad thing since she did have AoE at her disposal for mopping up foes.

Then she spots Echo. "...what? What the hell are you doing here?" Kyra asks in an incredulous tone, lifting her gun, ready to shoot the closest zombie when they stop. Her words bring a frown to her face. "Oh, so you did this to him. I see. Ugh. /No/."

Calmly, she shoots one of the zombies in the head. "There's no happiness in being a basic, easily-controlled zombie!"

Echo (640) has posed:
The zombie's head explodes like a watermelon with an M-80 stuck into it, collapsing back with a wet smack and clapping of joints as his legs and back buckled back under his own weight.

The spray comes quite near to Echo, who is quite surprised by this! "What are you talking about? He was in much worse state when I found him," the bat woman sounds a bit confused, surprised still, but her yellow eyes train themselves on Kyra, those white legs of hers moving as she comes closer.

"Do you have something against the pulse-challenged...? are you /life-ist/?" Echo narrows her eyes a bit as she saunters right up to arms reach of Kyra. Sure, she knew the white mage girl from before, but now she was mussing up her craft, and well, you might as well have insulted a girl's hair or her clothes at this rate! Echo was quite proud of her unnatural powers of necromancy.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Yep, definitely basic zombies. Kyra hasn't seen one's head pop like that since her early days of white mage training-the homeschool equivalent of first grade white mage classes. Weak undead like that rarely lasted much longer than a few hours after they were raised and really couldn't do much. "Being dead is not worse than being /undead/." Kyra scowls. "Yeah, I do have a thing against waving around dead bodies for fun and profit! You're the type of Necromancer that makes other Necromancers look bad on my world!"

She shoots another zombie, unitimidated by how close Echo is to her. "Also your zombies are /weak/." Uh oh.

    Shots fired.

Echo (640) has posed:
"I'm sure there are plenty who would disagree with you, you... Life-supremacist!" Echo's confusion and shock had soon turned into an annoyed frown and a narrowing of her yellow eyes. The other zombies look on with dull eyes as the next one goes splattering down, Kyra's gun apparently remarably effective on it. However, this does not make her immune to the sudden bat having a hissy-fit in her face!

The White mage's arsenal perhaps is a bit ill-prepared for the sudden tugging and grabbing at clothes, hair and light slapping and clawing that commences, of course, this is a mage hand to hand fight, and a feminine one at that, so there is much impotent yelling and clawing/tugging at one another, it's not very pretty, but likely something most men would pay to see very much for. Unfortunately, most of the men present here are dead, and missing parts of their eyes, craniums or other bits entirely.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"And there are plenty who agree with me! And want bodies to be returning to the earth instead of walking around smelling /up/ the place!" One of her hands drops away from her gun to point fiercely at Echo!

This, this right here is why Kyra tries to keep her fighting at range. She's a teenage girl and no kind of hand to hand fighter at ALL. Sure, hauling around the heavy-ass CURE-ALL was kind of starting to counter that a little but in hand to hand combat it's still weak mage flap fight mode. "HEY!" she yelps as Echo's suddenly on her, clawing and grabbing. Her hoodie is pulled upward, obscuring her head and blocking her vision.

Though unable to see, she can still feel, and grabs and flails back, using the gun as a blunt object, swinging it wildly. There are no misfires with this weapon since Kyra has to consciously supply MP to it for it to fire.

Echo (640) has posed:
Echo's red nails find the conveniently located top of Kyra's hooded sweatshirt and that moogle-themed fabric is soon pulled over her eyes, robbing her of her sight. The magic-fuelled weapon clocks against the side of Echo's head, bringing a few surprised, pained cries.

"Owww--ow! hey, stop that, you white magic using hussy!" Echo snarls a bit and there is a playful CHOMP on the dominant hand Kyra has around that gun of hers. Echo perhaps has the upper hand with those fangs, though despite her ability to draw blood there is none this time. Instead, there is more slapping and tearing at Kyra's shirt and such.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"HUSSY?!" Kyra yells, muffled from beneath her hoodie, "Did you seriously just say HUSSY? What old woman insult are you gonna use next, lady? You gonna call me a trollop? A gutter snipe?! A scofflaw! Hashtag oldasshit!!!"

Echo bites down on her wrist and Kyra suddenly recoils in horror, dropping her gun and pulling her hand away. "Don't you even start!" She shouts, grabbing for the bat's ears for a few moments before pulling away and whipping down the front zipper to her hoodie so she can actually see again. Of course, beneath that are her bandoliers and gear and, perhaps more importantly, two more guns.

Dropping low, she hurls herself head-first at Echo's stomach.

Echo (640) has posed:
"Aiieee!" Echo's screech, well, echoes through the night as those big white-furred conical ears of hers are tugged, causing her to yowl and double over as she tries to give them more slack as Kyra pulls on them, not wanting them to get yanked on understandably. Her hands scrabble and claw at the bandoliers and clothes Kyra might be wearing beneath that hoodie of hers, not trying to grab her guns, however.

And here is where the fact that such stiletto heels are not great to wrestle in, as the sudden tackle by Kyra right in her stomach has knocked the bat lady off-balance and set her careening back into the dirt and the grass, though not without her red nailed hands latch onto the white mage girl to bring her with her!

"Aieeeah! Grrr, leggo, holy concubine!" oh snap, now it's on.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
As Kyra had suspected, those big ears of Echo's were sensitive. She also wondered if Echo could do the echolocation thing like normal bats could...her name kind of suggested it. And if so then maybe the ears were even MORE sensitive! Mwahaha!

So the bandoliers are leather and fairly thick. Her straps to her holsters are also leather of some kind and durable. It's all top of the line adventuring gear meant to survive in the field. The undershirt beneath it, however, is kind of thin and easily torn, meant to be light because carrying all that gear makes a layer of HOT beneath her hoodie that needed to be offset somehow.

Dragged down with Echo, Kyra immediately starts grabbing for those ears again. "NO YOU!!!" Kyra retorts with all the elegance of a pissy teenager. To add insult to injury, she tries to rub Echo into the dirt since she has white fur and that's just a jerk move to pull.

Echo (640) has posed:
"Gaaaahh!" Echo is not happy her red dress and white fur is getting rubbed into that dirt, her red nails soon seeking out that white undershirt the white mage is wearing to pad the space between the bandoliers and her skin.

Riiiip~ Well, there goes the neighborhood, or rather, Kyra's undershirt. Echo's clawing hands nad nails are tearing that thing into long strips, shredding it more or less and leaving it falling away from the other girl's chest.

By this point Echo is grimacing in rage and trying to bring her legs up to try and latch onto Kyra to get some leverage from under her, her wings pressed painfully down beneath her back.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"HAH! See, you shouldn't have dragged me down with you!!" Kyra growls as she continues to rub dirt into her fir. "SEE?!" Of course, her clothes are getting pretty dirty too but she's actually used to that kind of thing happening. Medics rarely got away with not being dirty after a fight no matter how far back in the back row they were. Blood gets everywhere!

Kyra more or less doesn't really notice her shirt being shredded until the nails start to scrape against her skin, leaving agitated marks in their wake. "What the-HEY! My shirt! You bitch!" The furred legs latch around her torso, just beneath her arms, and Kyra flails, trying to wedge one of her arms under a leg so she can shove it away from her. "Get the hell off of me, bat!"

Echo (640) has posed:
Echo is not exactly the best choice for hand to hand combat, or heck, even wrestling, and especially not what's happening right now. Her legs are fairly strong, so there is some difficulty in just prising them away from Kyra's sides, however, Echo is distracted by the last shreds of the shirt coming away and bam--black silk bra under there.

"What the--oh my, you little tramp, look at this," she has to gesture with her chin at the surprising number Kyra had been hiding under that white undershrit of hers. "Looks like the white mage wasn't so innocent after all, eh honey?" she sneered, reaching up to give Kyra a pinch through the fabric with the thumbs and forefingers of both hands. Giving her both barrels, you might say.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra's face turns bright red in both embarassment and pure fury. "Hey, shut up!!" Kyra's hand suddenly stops trying to pry the leg away, slapping away Echo's hands as she reaches up to pinch. Moving quickly, she reaches behind her and pries one of Echo's heels off her feet. Angrily, she hurls the shoe at Echo's face.

In that moment of distraction, she ducks her head down and shifts her body sideways so she can slide out from between Echo's death grip with her legs.

"Screw you, grandma, and your reading into underwear colors too much! MAYBE I JUST WANT TO MATCH MY BOOTS, DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT? HUH?" Scrambling away, she goes looking for that gun she lost earlier.

Echo (640) has posed:
Echo likely wasn't expecting one of her own stilettos to be turned into a deadly projectile against her, and it is quite an incentive to cause the bat to duck her head and shield her face. It wasn't just that those shoes were italian and thus quite expensive, they could cause some damage if the pointy heel got close to one of her eyes. Now half-shod and with the white mage squirming out from under her, Echo is left scrambling around trying to tussle with Kyra for that gun, not wanting her to regain control of it.

"Black leather boots, no less, perfect for a little streetwalker like you--auuggh!" Echo is unable to finish most of that sentence due to grappling with Kyra, the two girls quite literally wrestling in the dirt now as the crowd of zombies just sort of look on.

     Uncomfortably.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Streetwalker! Streetwalker, says the bat lady wearing nothing but a red lace doily!" Kyra hisses out, clawing her way over the ground awkwardly, spotting her discarded gun. "You are the last person EVAR to accuse other people of dressing up like ladies of the night seeing how you're, like, a LITERAL LADY OF THE NIGHT! A /nechomancer/, even!!!" She hacks out a cough as she tries to regain her breath before Echo more or less leaps on her back. "GAAAH!"

More flailing follows and she repeatedly jams her elbows backwards as she tries to eject the bat off her back. She even resorts to biting to try and get away, which might be shocking, but doesn't hurt all that much since she's lacking in the pointy teeth department.

Echo (640) has posed:
Echo takes the elbows to her chest like a champ, giving a hearty 'oof!' as they contact her stomach. The biting however does surprise her, as she honestly didn't expect Kyra to do that.

"Owww hey!" she yelps, half latched onto Kyra's back and having nothing to hold onto--her fingers slip under that bra strap, getting bucked around on the angry white mage girl's back and using it like reigns, literally!

Of coruse, Echo is taking more blows to the chest, and despite what a champ she can be when determined she's going to come off soon, however it's going to be at the cost of that bra hasp as she isn't letting go! Whoops.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Sometimes sacrifices must be made...and if this was the sacrifice Kyra had to endure to get this crazy necromancer off her back (literally), then it is one she would GLADLY make. With a frustrated burst of speed, she pushes herself to her feet and flings Echo off of her, the back strap breaking in the process. Fortunately, the pair of thick bandoliers keep her decent-but still, she's pretty aware of the extent of damage to her outfit.

With one final scramble, she grabs her gun and whirls, holdig it with one hand while drawing the front flaps of her hoodie closed over her chest.

She stands there, breathing hard, red in the face. "You come at me again and I start busting out the holy magic!!"

Echo (640) has posed:
However, by the time Kyra can swing around to bring that gun to bear on the bat, she's... gone? Even that high heeled shoe she'd wrenched off to hit her with is missing, the only thing that seemed to imply she was ever there was that crowd of zombified villagers. Who now, without Echo, were masterless. Uh oh.

Well, at least Kyra could say that she had this awful wardrobe malfunction while... fighting off this massive horde of undead. A little bit of a parting f**k you from the bat it would appear, though she seemed to expect the white mage to be able to handle herself. She was a big girl, she could handle those WEAK zombies all by her lonesome~ <3

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"...what the..." Kyra wheels around, looking about, looking up, trying to find that bat and having no luck whatsoever. Nothing left but the whole zombified town, it seems. Fortunately, yes, she could handle this all by her lonesome! White magic was pretty 'lethal' against undead and a bit of holy and healing spells has her mopping it up pretty quickly.

Plus shooting zombies in the head, of course. Can't forget /that/. It's messy business that leaves her pretty grimy afterwards. "Urrgh, I'll get that bat."
