    Castle of Fayt Ravus
    Magix

Yes, Fayt has a home besides his office. He uses this place as a workshop of sorts, which is what he's up to now, working on what seems to be two old comptuers networked to each other.

Coincidentally? to make geting in and out of this remote location easier, there's a simle gate that links to Njorun leading into what used to be the throne room, which is currently housing a giant glowing crystal.

Corona Arclite has posed:
And that is what Corona wanders out of, pausing to look back at the gateway for a moment. "Well ain't that convenient." Then back to the crystal. Some kind of power source? Lot of crystals seems to get used for that, parts of her own world included. But that's not what she's here for. Not yet at least.

She holds one gloved hand up to her mouth. "YO STUFFGETTAH, YA 'ROUND HERE?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"HUH?!"

That came from somewhere nearby, followed by the sound of osmeone wlaking down the hall, untill finally Fayt himself shows up looking just a bit confused. "Hmm? Oh, hey. Can I help you with something?"

coincidentall,y there's what seems to be multicolored electricy dancing around his head, not a massive amount, but enough to be readily noticable. weird.

Corona Arclite has posed:
An ear swivels in the direction of the surprised sound and footsteps, well before the owner of them come into view. Then a lazy grin comes to her expression. Followed by a proper tip of the hat that is her usual western style greeting. "Curious, mostly. Always good to know the folks that do the haulin' in my line of work."

She pauses, canting her head to the side a moment. Then makes a vage gesturing at Fayt's with one hand. "y'got somethin 'round up there."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"I see..." Fayt says. "Sorry if I seem a bit surprised, I was busy at the workshop..." her motioning at his head causes him to frown, eyes rolling back for a moment as he seemingly tries to look up at his own head. "Oh? That um... d-don't worry about it. Happens all the time when I'm working with magic. It's nothing to worry about, really."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite oohs. "So that's yer kinda gettin' cover in soot and grease then." But her curiosity has already been perked at this point, even if she doesn't know a whole lot about magic. "Whatcha workin' on?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt tilts his head form side to side for a moment as he seems to consider this. "something like that I'd guess. Yeah. As for what I'm working on? I'm attempting to work my ability to use magic on technology, namely, I'm trying to send magic through a computer network I've got set up in hte workshop. It's..." He frowns a bit. "going, more or less."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite's brow furrows thoughtfully at that, even if her knowledge of both magic and computers is limited. Or at least the small fancy sort of computers. The big ones that run on clockwork instead of electricity is a different matter. Yet she's got the right knack for not needing to entirely understand how it works to try and make sense of it. "So tryin' to send magic through it instead of data? Huh." Gives her chin a rub. "Pop ups are annoyin' as it is, I'd almost hate to see a magic one."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"Or trying to." Fayt replies. "last few times I tried it, all It's been doing is making the other comptuer crash with weird errors." He shrugs. "I'm still working no a few things to try and get it to work properly, I can show you what I have set up in hte workshop if you want."

Corona Arclite has posed:
"Well I ain't much about magic but I do know my way 'bout tinkerin'. Couldn't hurt to have a looksie." Corona smirks a bit, her tail giving a couple of flicks behind her. "Probably because even if ya got one computer sendin' magic, the other one's gotta be set up to recieve it."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods. "Maybe, here. foolow me, I'll show you."

Assauming Corona follows, Fayt would head down a random hallway and into the workshop. The workshop is a bit of a mess, a series of tables and shelves littered with random junk. One of the tables has a pair of old comptuers sitting on it, and they've been networked to each other.

There's also, curiously, several wood panels hanging on the wall, all of them glowing a faint white. "so, here's the Computers I've been working with..."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite almost instinctively steps over any clutter on the floor, being a bit of a scrap part packrat herself. A clean workshop would just mean it isn't being used enough. Or so she was taught. But that's not why we're here.

She ambles over to the table, letting out a bit of a whistle. "Using some older machinery and working your way up I take it." Or its just whatever he got his hands on. Either or. Though the first thing she does is lean over to peer behind the computers. "What sorta wirin' you using?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"I'm using older computers for practical reasons. I mean, I could get a pair of cutting edge PCs, but there's a good chance i'll end up accidentally trashing a few before I'm done. This helps keep the bills to a minimum. The cables?" He frwos a bit. "Just some network cable that came with the computers, though I've been working with USB to send magic in, um here..." He reaches into a box nearby, pulling out what appears to by a typical USB cable... jammed into a tennis ball.

Corona Arclite has posed:
"Just somethin' to keep in mind. Yer magic might not run on the same energy wavelength as the 'standard' cables are made for." And yes Corona did make the air quotes gesture with her fingers as she said that. "Iffen there's too much or two little resistance that'd be one reason fer it to fry out."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"Resistence? Hmm..." Fayt frowns. "Yeah, ok. I can kinda see that. so, what do you think I should do then? I'm not really all that great with technology." his head slowly tilts form side to side as he loosk the Computers over. "last time someone looked at this, they did suggest different cabels, might even need someone to make a converter. Hmm..."

Corona Arclite has posed:
"I'm kinda just guessin' myself, usin' what I do know." Corona looks up with a bit of a smirk. "Sometimes ya just gotta test the differences one by one until you find the right one's to work." Then takes a step back, rubbing her chin again. "But from what I do know, that may be two likely issues so far. Your wiring and-slash-or your computer isn't handling the difference of magic from normal electronic signals."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods, "I see... Well it's something to look into. I know I can get SOMETHING through to the other computer, If I can just tweak it a bit..." he suddenly frows a bit. "But I wouldn't know what 'wavelength' I'm on." He actually mirriors the air quotes Corona made eariler as he said that.

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite hmms. "Normally I'd suggest testing but I don't know 'nuff about magic energies to test for that sort of thing. But if yer getting through you can't be too far off. Still, cables made for magic probably might not be a bad thing to look into."

She reachs over to thump her hand on top of one of the computers. "Still don't mean these are reading it right, either. But if everything worked hunky dorey right away it wouldn't be experimenting now would it?" Hehehe. "Still, just because you've managed to send don't mean it can read."

Then jabs a finger over her shoulder at the glowing panels. "And what are those for, anyways?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"Maybe... huh?" Fayt blinks as he looks up at one of the panels. "oh, that's just a stefty system I made. The panels are full of positive energy, they release a bit in the event of an accident, try to heal wounds.. It's not as good as waht's up in the Ring of Philosophy, but it's better than nothing."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite hahs. "Good to have if yer repeatedly blowin' up experiments though I bet." She taps a fingertip to her temple. "Thinking on that one, at least." She takes a few steps back from the computers on the table, reaching up to straighten out her hat. "This is shapin' up to be a puzzle that ain't got just one piece outta place. Best ya can do is keep tryin', piece by piece, and eventually ya find how they all fit together."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"Yeah... I'll have to think this over a bit, get a few ideas written down...." A pause, before he adds. "agic can be a bit dangerous, especially with what I'm using, so I needed something set up. it's also part of what I have the gate set up, so people cna quickly get in our out of here in an emergency. Well, that and hte fact that I'm in the middle of nowhere. you probably haven't seen much in the way of windows? We're underground right now."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite smirks a bit. "Can't see, but I can tell." She gives one of her fox ears a tug. "Underground sounds different, though most people can't hear it. But I spend enough time in mines and such to tell the difference."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt blinks, looking at Corona's ears for a moment. "I see. Anyway it's not too bad down here. a few generators and commerical magitech let me get some electricty and running water down here. I'm ususally busy enough that I don't notice the lack of sunlight much."

Corona Arclite has posed:
"Most the underground mines back home use geothermal energy to run their steam generators. Stays hotter longer than burnin' coal, and it's right there already." Though as she's rambling Corona is looking over the computers again. "Have ya done any work on the computers themselves?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt shakes his head. "The USB has been enchanted to better transmit mana, but I left the rest alone. The idea is that I'd be able to send things through the network without having to go around altering and enchating stuff first, so i'd need something like this." Me motions ot the weird USB/tennis ball device he made. "To bridge all the gaps for me."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite aaahs. "I see. Yer working on the bridge rather than the two things its connecting." She leans over to take a look at the ball device. "Not the most stylish of things, but practical things usually ain't. Still." Pokes at the ball with a finger. "Same thing applies. Yer converter needs to be able to go from one and the other and back."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods, slowly. "I think I understand, I'll need to rethink some of this stuff, maybe get a new design ortwo ready." He pauses for a moment, before nodding to corona again, "you've been a big help, thank you."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite gives her hat a tip in return. "always glad to help another tinkerer out, even if it ain't in the same field of know-how."
