Lute and Sanary in Medical
Date of Scene: 20 April 2015
Location: The Citadel - Medical
Synopsis: After the raid on the Fleet Daughter warehouse, Sanary stops in to visit Lute at medical.
Cast of Characters: 188, Sanary Rondel

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute is currently in medical. His room? The same one as usual. Being such an active Elite, he of course has his own room here. He's wearing a medical gown at the moment, and rooting through his room. He has an IV hooked into his left arm at the moment, but enough slack on the cords to get around a bit. Why would he be moving around though, with his injuries?

Well, he's rooting around under the bed, through the drawers, and under the sink, looking for places where he might be able to hide radios. He knows Mihk doesn't really have the authority to force him to give up his radio. But, just in case she convinces a higher up that it is a good idea, he wants to make sure he can have some on standby.

Lute's current state is pretty badly off. He has bandages over most of his body, covering the burn wounds. He's moving fairly slowly as well. When Sanary enters the room, Lute is /probably/ looking underneath the bed at that point, his head underneath it as he looks at the underside and the workings of the medical bed.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Training, class, work. Those three things have become Sanary's new routine, and she arrives looking like a good student. She's shouldering a backpack nearly the width of the door and half her height, having a bit of trouble trying to wiggle it through the entrance of Lute's room. She's also panting a bit as she steps inside, squatting to set the thing down before turning her eye on with that telltale sheen to indicate its activation.

And that just so happens to put her at eye level with the underside of his hospital gown. "... Heeeeeey, Lute." Maintaining a blank pokerface as she speaks, she holds her hand up in a lazy wave while remaining in position. As always, she's wearing her coat and sweatpants combo, although the former appears to have been recently washed... Badly, if the strange mix of blues and red streaking it is any indication.

"How're you feeling? I brought some special... Stuff that might help keep you from getting too bored." She doesn't say what it is specifically, although the healer does give her backpack a light nudge as if that's enough of a clue.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute accidentally bumps his head on the underside of his bed as he hears Sanary speak. He winces, before pulling his head out, and moving to stand. He's moving slowly. Once he is up, he turns, sits on the couch, and relaxes a little. He sighs a bit, moving his right hand to rub his head a little bit where he hit it.

He just grins though, trying to put on his usual level of charm. He stretches a bit, albeit not as much as he wants. He can't risk hurting himself too much more. He takes a deep breath, and then finally speaks a bit.

"Hey. Glad you could make it. Getting pretty lonely in here. Most of my Pokemon and other pets are being healed right now, too. So it's... Really been lonely. And man, last night's battle /sucked/. How have you been, though?"

He isn't getting up to kiss her, mostly because he's been overexerting himself as is. It's probably a bit obvious, because he looks fairly tired. Not sleepy tired, just... Overworked.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary holds in a snort and shakes her head, a relaxed smile forming on her face as she approaches Lute and the couch. "Easy there. You don't wanna flash whoever's... Uh." She clears her throat and gestures at the entrance behind herself, squinting slightly while checking Lute's head just to make sure he isn't bleeding or anything from that bump.

"Glad to see you're not dead. Heard a lot of what was going on from the radio." Sighing lightly, she rests a hand against the top of his head and starts channelling small amounts of energy into it to try and alleviate the pain from the bump.

"You really gotta be more careful, Lute. Ah.. I've been busy, mostly. Lots of schoolwork, that kinda stuff." She moves in carefully to give him a light peck on the forehead before sitting beside him, then slouches to give her leg a little more range and drag that backpack over. "Oh. I brought a present!" Sanary sounds just a little too excited as she rummages around in the backpack, eventually pulling out a roll of GIANT BUBBLE WRAP and holding it out.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute's medical gown is actually on mostly tightly, enough where there isn't too much of a risk of flashing anything. Plus, all of the bandages covering up his burn wounds are present anyways. But, still, Lute smiles, understanding the concern.

"Yeah, don't worry. I'll make sure to keep myself looking decent. Besides, the nurses aren't planning to make their rounds for a while since I got most of the basic treatment, and honestly a lot of them don't like dealing with me /anyways."

Lute relaxes as his head is healed, and as he recieves the kiss. He leans into the kiss especially. He doesn't have much energy to move too much, but he lifts his head a bit and moves to kiss Sanary on the cheek a bit as well. "Well, I'm not planning to die for a long time. Or at least, I don't plan to. But... Yeah, last night was pretty dangerous. Granted, I was willing to take the role, but. My mission was 'primary distraction', so took on more than I really should have. ...Though my pets took it worse than me. Imima even... got hurt really badly, by torpedoes. Trying to protect me." He lets out a deep sigh.

And then the bubblewrap comes out. Lute was... not sure what to expect from the backpack. He is having to hold back a snicker. He'll grab at the roll anyways, smiling as he slowly starts to pop the bubbles on it. "Let me guess, you just discovered this stuff? Yeah, it can be pretty entertaining when bored. Usually used for packaging and stuff like that, so if you send something in a box, it won't break in transit."

He /really/ needs to get Sanary out in the modern world more.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"That's something, then. Still, what were you doing down there, anyway?" Sanary leans over for a moment to peer at the bottom of the bed, although she doesn't do it for fairly long. If she can't see it within five seconds, it's probably not a big deal anyway!

Such a good investigator. "Decoy, then... Ah, I guess you got off kinda lucky, then. Still." Sighing again, she holds her hands against the visibly bandaged spots one after the other, pumping in just a little bit of healing energy into those parts. Although that small amount might not actually do much to heal anything, she's attempting to try and alleviate the soreness somewhat. "They're all recovering, though, right? No losses or anything?"

Lute's reaction to the bubble wrap does make her pause for a moment, a blank stare appearing on her face for a moment. "H-huh? Oh. Yeah. I mean, I found out about it yesterday, but it just... It feels fun. Keeps my hands busy." She reaches over to pop one of the bubbles and snickers briefly before clearing her throat once more. "Might've... Put some over my bed, too. Just because. Gonna try that tonight, so. Did you.. Uh. Manage to sink any of those ship girls?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute pauses as his search is inquired upon. He answers quickly, speaking at a fast speed, "I wasn't looking for a place to hide radios in here so that Mihk will fail at confiscating them from me. Not at all. Seriously. Completely seriously." He is, obviously, lieing.

Lute relaxes as he is healed. With the pain fading a bit, he can stretch a bit more. He lets out a pleasant sigh, his eyes closing a little bit. This healing feeling is... just pleasant. He talks a bit, even as she heals him. "Well, they're all being healed, yeah. Imima is in for repairs, Mr. Crabs is being analyzed for how best to help fix his leg, and my Tentacruel is being treated for his burn wounds. Lost a few Unown, but I can get more of them easily. They're a hivemind anyway. But, still... It was very frustrating. Three people were attacking me at once during this battle, for a bit."

Lute chuckles a bit more at the talk of bubble wrap, "Well, good to keep your hands busy. Especially if you can't always see. I know your vision drains your magic, so must be good to have things you can do while still blind."

But, with the talk of the ship girl, Lute sighs a bit, "Two of them were there. Though confirmed that one of them probably /wasn't/ the same kind of ship girl, or something weird? Though only figured out who she was after the battle. But, still. Didn't manage to sink the one Fleet Daughter actually there. ...Soon, though. It'll happen soon."

Lute lays back in the bed. His non-IV'd arm reaches to grab at Sanary. He can't pull her /much/ right now, but he's trying to pull her to lay down with him a bit.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary opens her mouth at first, then shuts it and opens it again. Nothing comes out as she closes it for a second time, but she does eventually speak up on the third attempt. "Riiiiight. Uh. You could probably..." She glances at the door and lowers her voice. "... Between the bed and the frame instead of going under it."

The healer clears her throat loudly, not sounding too different from an elderly man about to spit on the sidewalk in a dirty town. "Ach. Stupid dust. Really gotta wipe this place up one day." She doesn't let that stop her from passing the energy into Lute's bandaged wounds, though, keeping her movements nice and slow so as to not drain herself too much.

"Mm... Good to hear there weren't too many losses, then. Probably a good thing it was just those.. Uh. Unown that you didn't name. Lot easier to deal with that or eat something if you don't name it." She chuckles lightly, although there's a distant tone to her voice for that brief moment.

"That's pretty much it. I can get around here and the Zaibatsu's building pretty easily without turning the eye on now, but people leave stuff out sometimes." She blinks slowly as Lute guides her to the bed, laying back with him after adjusting the back of her coat a bit. "Ah, you'll get 'em sooner or later. I'll get good enough at staying balanced on water to fight out there eventually. Or... Swim really hard and tie rocks to 'em. It'll work out."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles, leaning in to hug against Sanary. "Well. That's a good idea for a spot. I'll do that. Though, worst case, I can have people sneak them in for me. I mean, really. I don't want to be cut off from the rest of the Multiverse just because I'm healing."

"And yeah, the losses weren't too bad. The Union got hit pretty badly too. Though the Union is a bit pissed at me for /this/ too. The worst part being, this was Allan's idea. Granted, this isn't the /worst/ I've pissed them off, and they're not too mad at me for this. This is mostly just normal war stuff. But still." He sighs, shrugging. He might have to take it easy for a bit, he's realizing. The Union has it out for him, and he keeps pissing them off. Get under their radar a /bit/.

Lute pauses for a bit. Yeah, Sanary keeps using her eyes to see while around him. He forgets sometimes how she is blind most of the time. He smiles, realizing how much she cherishes the time they have if she uses the magic to see him. "...If it's so draining, you can let your eyes relax for a bit. I mean, I like you being able to see me, but. Hey, you're not even walking right now. Might as well take a break, huh?"

He lays on his side, letting an arm drape over Sanary's waist. "Well, we'll figure out water combat for you eventually. Hell, I think Allan got some crates from the warehouse. If we can remodel the Fleet Daughter's gear for your use, maybe you can use it to surf on the water? But, hey, we'll see. Though maybe Souji could get you something, too... How has working for him been, anyways? He hasn't been too much of a slave driver, has he?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary returns the hug gently so as to not aggravate Lute's healing. "Makes sense. But if it does get found in there, I didn't say a thing. I like collecting two paychecks." She grins for a moment before putting on that pokerface again, glancing towards the entrance again before patting Lute's hand.

"Well.. It /is/ war stuff. Makes sense for people to get pissed because of that." She takes a deep breath before sighing lightly, furrowing her brow in thought while starting to stare at the ceiling. "Although I haven't really... Done much of that since the first few weeks I joined, huh? Maybe I am getting too friendly with everyone."

Another sigh. "Hell, I've been doing nothing but healing work here, with the Zaibatsu, and... School, even." She blinks slowly at Lute's suggestion, snapping out of her dour mood and grinning after a bit. "Ah, it's fine. I'm getting used to it, and between work and classes, it is getting easier. Barely even feel now unless I'm already tired."

"The work hasn't been too bad. Haven't really needed to fight anyone aside from those two jobs, but it's pretty good there. You could probably make more money working with these guys, too, and I could always put in the good word for you." She chuckles again and glances at her feet, debating whether or not to kick her boots off while she's on the bed. "Hmm.. Think that gear'll fit even with changes? I'm willing to try it, but... It might be better for you or someone that's out there more often."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles, "Ooooh, really, don't worry. I won't tell. Besides, they wouldn't punish you for something as simple as that if it /did/ get out. Hell, I'm not even that worried. Yeah, Mihk outranks me, buuuut. I still know that taking away my radio while I'm in medical is probably above what she is actually allowed to order of me."

He just smiles a bit, as the talk about war and whatnot. He laughs a bit, "Well, yeah, they get pissed about it. ...But really, I should take you along on a mission. You're healing magic could /really/ come in handy. If I keep you firmly placed behind Mr. Crabs, it'd help make sure you're safe in them too. Plus, well. While they'd attack you, Union gets a bit less pissed about healers."

Lute gets up a bit though. He moves to climb on top of Sanary, at least somewhat. He rests on his knees, and holds himself up by having his arms pressing straight against the bed. He looks down at Sanary. A serious look on his face. "I'm glad you're working so hard. But. You're stressing too much. School, work, healing... All of that stuff must take some of your mana away. So. Relax. Your body needs it sometime, too. Even if you're not constantly out fighting the war, you're still very busy."

He keeps himself over Sanary. His hips sit on her a bit. Especially with the healing, he's feeling a lot better right now. But, still, he's going to be laying back down soon. This is honestly just an impulse. He feels like being on top of Sanary for a bit.

"I've been considering taking jobs for Souji eventually. Won't happen yet, but. I don't think I'll sign up completely. I like my autonomy a bit. Though, well. As for the Fleet Daughter gear... No idea if a normal human /can/ use that stuff. Souji's people might have a way to make it work, especially if they work with Allan and his Red Union. But if he does help, I'll definitely repay the favor."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Yeah... That would be fun. Might be awkward if I run into someone I know, but... We'll deal with that when it happens. And it's not like I'm /that/ defenseless even if I get attacked." Even from her prone position, Sanary still manages to flex her arm and smack her bicep once. It's not as impressive as it would be without the coat on, but it's also hard to tell with the standard body types in her world.

Who knows how /that/ even works?

The healer blinks slowly as Lute climbs over her, letting out a low grunt once he sits on her. She lets out a noncommital hum as he speaks, shifting her arms to cross behind her head. "Eh... I get enough rest. Sleep, weekends. Sometimes nights."

She does manage a light chuckle eventually, at least, resting her head back on her arms and letting the energy disperse from her eye. "But since I'm probably not seeing anything new in here, anyway... Might as well. You should definitely try working for him, too. Lots of benefits, and he could probably figure out some way of getting it working for people." She pauses to hum thoughtfully. "I could even test it if he makes progress with that. I mean, I'm already testi-uh."

Whoops. She shuts her mouth abruptly and coughs with her mouth closed, starting to hum again a little too loudly. "... So yeah you should get in touch with him."

Lute (188) has posed:
The last thing Sanary will see on Lute's face, as she agrees to turn her eyes off? A look of relief. He's probably worrying a bit too much. But, he's still not used to having so many girlfriends. It just keeps giving him more and more to worry about. Lute leans in to kiss her on the lips, quite softly. He pulls back after a second, though keeps his head close enough to her that she could still feel his breath a bit.

"Don't worry about the awkwardness. It'll have to come up eventually. But, still, you can avoid fighting your friends. ...Though I have to admit, I'm almost wondering at times if you might not be cut out as a Confederate. You're almost... too nice. ...Glad you are one, though. But, still. I'd be incredibly happy to have you along for a mission. And yeah, your body is /really/ strong. But hey, I /really/ like tough and strong girls." He rubs his hand along Sanary's arm as he says that, again just for a second.

The 'already testing', bit, though? It /really/ catches Lute's attention. A worried look is conveyed throug his tone, "...Testing a secret project for him? ...Be careful. It's incredibly dangerous being a lab rat. I've had to do that before, and it took tolls on my body for a while."

A pause. "...Would he let me help in testing the thing you're testing? That way I could at least make sure you're safe."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Having Lute on top of her was fine. Having him kiss her back was fine. But something about not seeing him do it once her eye is off throws Sanary off visibly, her cheeks burning red from embarrassment. "Wha... C-come on! That's just... You dick." She lets out a frustrated huff and turns her head to...

Right. She can't see the wall, anyway. She knows it's there, at least. "H-hey. I'm here because I want to get stronger. Same reason I'm in that school with... Way more Union people than I expected." She grunts lightly, likely noticing how that doesn't really help her position much. "And just because I'm friendly with... Everyone I've fought doesn't mean... Uh."

"Shit. Am I?" She sounds even more frustrated over that and the arm rubbing, settling down eventually before smirking. "Well... At least I've got that. Does make it easier to keep people calm so I don't have to heal them as much sometimes."

The healer goes quiet when Lute questions her about the testing, however, not answering right away as she turns her eye back on momentarily to glance at the door and make sure nobody's approaching. "I'll be fine. Hasn't done anything yet, but... Uh. I don't know if he'd let you test this specific thing, but... Promise not to tell?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just chuckles. Yeah, he enjoys teasing Sanary like this. And yes, it's a bit unfair. But, really, that's part of what makes it fun. "Oh, come on. It's for your own good, right? Besides, you're not missing /that/ much, and I'd be doing this if you were able to see anyways." He moves in to kiss her, on the forehead this time.

He leans back again, just sitting up straight on Sanary. He chuckles a bit, "Well. If you want to get strong, that's fine. The Confederacy has more opportunities to make you powerful than the Union. Plus, Souji goes to that school as well, doens't he? ...Just. As long as your comfortable in the Confederacy, that's all that matters."

With the freakout on the arm, though? He leans in to kiss both of Sanary's biceps, one after another. "...I really like the strong form, alright? No need to worry about it. I told you, I like strong women. Women who fight. I even like your scars. And the fact you're so strong is useful in your work is a bonus, too."

And then, Sanary looks like she might break down on the secret. Lute smiles. He is glad that Sanary can't see the look of excitement on his face right now. He is, in fact, usually bad at keeping secrets. But, he's certain he can keep this one, and it's almost certainly a good sign of her trust for him.

"...Yeah, I can keep a secret. I won't tell anyone. Don't want Souji getting mad that it leaked, after all."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Well, yeah, but... Mmrgh. Still not fair." Sanary can't stay frustrated for too long, at least, and she does eventually relax on the bed again instead of squirming around like she had been. "Gotta say, though. The arm kissing is... Uh. That's a little weird." She says that last part with a laugh, reaching over to pat Lute's face regardless of how weird it might be. "Thanks, though. Means a lot."

Resting her hands on his legs, she starts poking about on his thighs to try and find more bandages through the hospital gown in case any more healing is needed. "Yeah, Souji's there too. Almost everyone in the company's there, actually... Huh. I'm comfortable here, though. I know what the higher ups want from me, they know what I want. Can't really see the Union getting me that... Power I want, you know?"

Another brief flicker can be seen in the eye as she glances towards the door one more time, then the healer lowers her voice. "So... That guy in the alley that did the eye thing? Might have actually been inside and... Not an alley. Also to test stuff for Souji. But I never told you this."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute moves to lean against Sanary. He shifts, so that his head lays at about chest level on her. His breathing relaxes quite a bit as he nuzzles against her. He speaks, a little more softly. "Well. Sometimes I like to be unfair. You can be unfair back sometime, though. ...And yeah, I was caught in the moment with the arm kissing. I just wanted to show you my appreciation."

As Lute's bandages are poked at, he winces and lets out small noises of pain. Yeeep, more places that need healing. He doesn't seem to mind too much, though. Besides, while he likes Sanary for how carefree, cheerful, and relaxed she is? Having a healer as a girlfriend is a massive bonus.

"I'm glad you're happy here. And as I've offered before, I'll help you seek any power you want. ...Hell, your world has magic, right? Maybe I should visit with you, seek out the ancient ruins there. Find legendary artifacts. Just in general, worlds with high magic have legendary weapons and stuff to gain power."

And then, the revelation on where her eyes came from. Lute smiles, "Well. That's at least safer than getting them in an alley. Well. If Souji wants to test anything else on you though, let me know. Alright? I don't want you hurt."

He hugs at her tightly, "...I really kind of want you to move in with me, and Harp. ...I'd offer the same to Yari, but I don't know her as well yet, plus she lives in her camps with the soldiers, and works a lot. But... Yeah. If you want to, I'd really welcome you."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Resisting the instinct to turn her eye back on, Sanary's still fidgeting a bit with Lute's head on her chest. She does put one arm around his head to wiggle him about gently, the other hand directing healing magic into the bandaged areas she can actually identify. "Mm... Maybe when you're better, ten. But you gotta behave while you're still like this."

The reminder of his offer draws another light smile from the healer, a low hum escaping her as she ponders on what could even be found in her world. "Hn... You know, I never really looked for anything like that. There probably are ruins somewhere, come to think of it. Probably a lot of monsters, too, and I don't think they'd be the type you can train. Still... I'm a lot stronger now than I was before, so maybe that could be a thing, too."

That would be fun, wouldn't it? traipsing around in weird ruins, smashing skeletons and zombies and... Whatever those flying eyeballs are called.

"Souji's been good to me. I haven't had any issues with this testing, and... Hell, he might be a huge help with figuring out the Fleet.. Boat Girls' weapons. Would just be another way of doing my job if I tested those, too."

She squeaks lightly at the hug and bites her lip, not answering right away as the embarrassed blush returns to her face. "Er... W-well, that does sound pretty tempting. Mm... Would be lot more like home, too." She pauses to ponder. "Although... Living where I work and near the school's really convenient, too. Don't have to mess with warp gates just to get to bed after work. Mm... This is hard."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles a bit, "Yeah, when I'm better you can be a bit mean to me." His breathing remains calm. He's still quite happy with his current situatin. Despite the Union targetting him more, he's realizing this more and more each time he is with someone he loves: Things still are going his way.

Lute chuckles at the thoughts on the ruins and exploring. Yeah, that actually is right up the alley of what he loves to do. "Don't worry, I can handle the monsters a bit too. Or we could get a whole adventuring party. Hell, that's what Souji's school is for, so he could come along too, probably. Or send some of his men. I'll bring along paper and stuff to take notes, and adventuring gear. IT cna be a lot of fun, to explore ruins."

"And they're called Fleet Daughters. Fleet Girls or Ship Girls can work too, most people would understand that just fine. But yeah, I bet he can work something out with that." And, Lute's mind drifts a bit, picturing Sanary in a Fleet Daughter outfit, probably wearing a swimsuit to make her more seaworthy. Though, perhaps the normal outfit would be fine as well...

Lute waits for a second, giving Sanary some time to think. He tries to make no noise. He doesn't want to influence her opinion on it too much, while she is thinking, and talking it out. But, once she thinks on it a bit, talks a bit, and has some more time to think? He finally speaks.

"You don't have to. It'd be nice. ...But if I could get a quick warp gate from my home to the Confederate territory, that'd make things easier, huh? ...Though, again, entirely up to you. We haven't been together /that/ long, really."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"True... Although I don't know how much the people from my world would like it if I brought a whole group of outworlders in to take stuff out of the world." Sanary laughs lightly and strokes Lute's hair idly. "Probably could handle most of the fighting myself, honestly. Between that new gear I've picked up since coming here and getting more used to shooting myself... It might even be easy."

Laughing freely now, the healer adjusts her position on the bed slightly to get a leg up. Of course, that involves getting the sole of her boot on the bed, and she quickly puts her leg back down.

"Ah... I'll bring some new sheets in later for that. Hmm. Would be something if I could do the same thing they do with that kind of gear on. If Allan or whoever could bring that stuff back, I can probably carry it. And it can't be that much harder to use it."

She goes into her own bout of silence to consider the pros and cons of each location to live in. On one hand, convenience and laziness! On the other hand, companionship! Decisions, decisions.

"Hmm. You mentioned that before, right? If we could get warp gates right from my room to your place, that could make things even easier. Although... You think Souji would be mad if there was another entrance into the building like that?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles, "Yeah, a group of off world adventurers could raise some eyebrows. Just me and you doing it might be best. ...Possibly grab Yari for it too, though. ...Though a part dragon person might draw eyes. I dunno what species exist on your world. I know you mentioned that dragon cult thing, though." He ponders. Maybe Yari would be a bad idea. Or maybe she could be viewed as a messiah? Eh, who knows.

"And... I'm sure we'll figure something out for the gear. I'll talk to Allan later and see what he got. But we'll manage something."

But, Lute doesn't tlak on that stuff much. His bigger focus is trying to get a woman moving in with him. But... He's assuming it is still too early. "Well. We can talk to Souji, but the answer is assumedly going to be a no. It's a security risk. I could see about a warp gate shortcut to near his area, at least. I'm sure we can figure something out. ...Though, still. Just think on it more. Remember, the offer still stands, and will stand until it happens. ...Or if you break up to me. ...Which, well, let's be realistic. I've had girlfriends break up with me before. Not saying you will, but gotta keep that thought in mind too, huh?"

And Lute ends up depressing himself slightly.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"That could work, yeah... Hmm. Well, we could always scout for a place on our own and come back another time with more people. The cult is..." Sanary goes quiet for a short while, moving her mouth around a bit while considering how to actually answer that. "They... Might like her, maybe? Or hate her even more for impersonating one of the dragons. It's tricky."

She's laughing, at least. Troubled laughing, but it's something. "If we can get that gear working, though, I could probably hide in a cape on her back and make it look like she's shooting fire, though." She goes quiet for few seconds before snorting suddenly, biting back more laughter. There's other patients in the other rooms, after all. "Probably don't want them hanging around us, but... Could be a good way to get the jump on 'em."

"Mm... I know. I do actually kinda wanna live with you two, but it does feel kinda soon, you know? And... Yeah, security risk." Letting out another chuckle, she turns her unseeing gaze to the ceiling while leaving the possibility of breaking up unaddressed. It's definitely not ignored, however, as the smile does droop a bit as if she's at least considering what would actually happen in such a case.

    Yay depression!

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just gets quiet for a bit. His mind is wandering. He's actually had a lot of girlfriends in the past, and not every relationship has lasted. The only one that has? His relationship wtih his wife. While leaving his head on Sanary's chest, he simply tilts a little to look at her face. He's trying to fight some of his instincts. He wants her to be his, forever. He doesn't mind sharing, but he doesn't want her to leave him completely.

It takes him several minutes before he says anything. He can't even think too much on the actual plans for adventure and fighting the Fleet Daughters. At least, not for now. He'll cheer up soon, but. Still, this will be in the back of his mind for a few days.

Finally, he speaks, "...Well. Honestly. The main thing that will determine if we can last. If you do find someone you feel for in a similar way to me, perhaps more? And if they want you for themselves, and are unwilling to share? Would you be happy being monogamous with them? Or, are you fine sharing your love with lots of people?"

The fact she is with Yari and him both is a good sign to their relationship lasting, especially considering that Yari is dating Lute and enjoying it as well. But, if Sanary does meet someone down the line who she'd be willing to commit to entirely? That would change things.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary remains just as quiet during those long minutes, still racing through just what could prompt such a berakup. Cheating? No, they were already comfortable with the mutliple people thing. A fight? No, sparring didn't really seem like the sort of thing that would do that. Could a disagrement over living arrangements really lead to something like that?

Then again, it's not like she really has a frame on reference for good or bad relationships back home. There's her parents, the other militia members' parents, and the militia members with the non-combatants. How many of them even stayed together, anyway?

"Huh? O-oh. Hm... I don't think I'd let it get that far if I knew they'd... You know. /Not/ be willing to do that. And... I don't want to hurt aynone, either. So it'd be easier to not let it get to that point."

She goes quiet again to consider the other possibilities, eventually speaking up again. "And it's not like I'd like you or Yari less if I liked a third person. Or fourth or... WHatever number. I mean, I really like you and Yari. And probably even Harp and Sama... Sooma... And Miko's nice, too." She chuckles lightly, although there's clearly still some lingering discomfort in her voice.

"Did.. Uh. Did I do something wrong?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute pulls his head up. As Sanary speaks, he smiles, and relaxes a bit. He speaks, gently, "...Nah, don't worry about it. You didn't say anything wrong. Just, I've had that happen before. A girl decides to be with a single person, instead of being with me and a bunch of people. Happened a few times. Don't worry, it's just my own complexes."

He crawls forward, leaning in to give her a long, deep kiss. When it breaks, he speaks again, "...And, well. I'm glad. Just. Too many people out there who view monogamy as the only end result for relationships. I'm just glad I can be with you. ...We should be able to be togther for a long time."

Lute has, obviously, calmed down a bit. He's relaxed again, and more like his normal cheerful self.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary relaxes visibly at the reassurance, eventually smiling again. "I get what you mean.. But nah. Honestly? I'd rather be with more people than just one. More... People, y'know? More... The idea just feels better." She gives his head a light pat finally, noting the change in direction with a raised eyebrow.

The kiss catches her by surprise, of course, what with the lack of energy going into her eye. Despite her initial surprise, she does settle into it. "Yeah... Sounds good to me. You, me, Yari, Harp, Samoa, Miko... Pretty sure I'm forgetting at least... Like, three or four more people." She taps a finger against her chin and chuckles.

"There was that lady king, too, right? And I think Orphen wants to go on another date, and then... I think that's it on my end."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles, "Well. I'm currently just dating you, Yari, Miko, and Sarracenia. Just the four at the moment. Went on a date with Fuki, and might do that again, but she doesn't seem /that/ interested in me."

He pauses, though. Thinking. A couple of things make Lute a little bit nervous right now. "...Wait, king lady? Do you mean Saber? Cause that didn't go so hot, and I think she has it out for me. Unless you went on a date with her? And... Oh boy, if you went on a date with Orphen, jesus. He is planning to beat the crap out of me soon. Like, he /really/ did not like me attacking Kyra."

A sigh. He lays against Sanary again. The 'dating Orphen' thing is a bit of a worry, buuuut maybe it'll work out? God only knows. But, still, his mood is much improved. "...And yeah, let's keep telling each other who all we're dating. Being open about it will make it a /lot/ easier."

     Another pause.

"Sorry for killing the mood for a bit. Just. Yeah, stuff happened in the past. Don't worry about it." He closes his eyes a little bit, simply relaxing. He sighs, happily, "...I love you."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Oh yeah... She hasn't said much about that, so I guess not. Too bad, eh?" Sanary chuckles as well, nodding in response to the mention of Saber. "I think that was her name, yeah. But wasn't it Bedervl...? That guy that had it out for you? I haven't met either of 'em yet, so I can't really anthing about that."

She blinks slowly at the comments on Orphen, looking somewhat troubled after a few moments. "Huh... Really? He seemed oka-uh. Well, we did kinda run out of that one restaurant on that first date. Haven't had a second one yet, and.. I dunno. He was okay, but... Ehh." A noncommital handwave. That's a good sign, right?

"That's all I've got for dates. Uhh. Wait. There was that really big group date with Vegeta a while back, but that's... Probably not gonna go anywhere."

Nodding slowly at Lute's further reassurances, another blush covers the girl's face at his last statement as she shoves her mouth onto the top of his head to muffle her response.

     "... Dick."
