Synopsis: It's time to plan about how to handled Mcafee before he things makes things worse for his native system, and the Grid. If they can get him out of the way? The party will have less trouble back on Deelel's home world and might even make some allies in the process.
Cast of Characters: Deelel, 631, 673, Corona Arclite
Tinyplot: Reboot

Deelel has posed:
So back at the safe house the surivor of Mcafee's antics had recovered. Once his code had been fixed? Those such as Rory who'd have likely helped with that? Would have seen his body visably regenerate itself from all of it's injuried in a matter of moments. He's now had a few cycles from which to recover and he's sitting at a table going over a holo map of his system.

"Why the user compiled that idiot? I'll never know."

He mutters to himself as he works he'd put out a call for the outsiders he needed to talk to them and make some plans. They'd not have /that/ long left to deal with Mcafee at the rate things were going there.

Deelel's already here perched up on a crate looking over some data of her own as she waits as well.

Corona Arclite has posed:
"I swear, that's the first time I've ever had a train -mad- at me. Or at least, one that could express it." Last night's little adventure was... strange. Even by Multiverse standards. But after they had gotten off the crazy Multiverse Express and got their wits back together, Corona followed Deelel back to the less weird (never thought I'd say that!) nearly desolate System. Though she had stopped at the gate to make sure the turrets were holding up before finally ambling over to the meeting area. "Good to see our new friend is fixin' back up nicely though."

Rory White (673) has posed:
Rory has been in and out a lot! Bringing medical supplies between one grid to the other to help Kernel. Sometimes a Delta Fork did the job though, when things were dangerous.

But now he's back in the... 'flesh,' as it were.

Seems she didn't need to bring as much as she thought though!

"Is it a case of a mis-given directive... poor coding, I mean... or a virus? I'm not sure how things work in this system." Well, that's the understatement of the year.

But now she has a legitimate reason to explain her being completely unused to the way things work! She really isn't from this system!

Deelel has posed:
Deelel smirks for a moment at Corona and says

"You and me both I'll stick to light trains from now on myself, Corona. He got to work the moment he could move again."

"I have a function to carry out and no if it was user error? It would be something that could be handled, hit them with enough error notices and a user will respond /eventually/."

Yes this they your computer yells a oyu with like 30 error windows at /once/.

"The black virus is the nearest thing I can guess ait. He started locking away suspected malware and went glitched, those black virals showed up and he just got worse. He was clever though, went for actual problems and then just kept going by the time we understood how far he was going to go it was too late and most of the population has been isolated."

Reker (631) has posed:
"So you know, right now I'm not sure what our ultimate goal is." Reker has been pacing around for a while, talking to himself about...Something. Who can even be sure what, "Deelel, I definitely want to help you, but I think we need to hash out what we're trying to accomplish. I mean we can't just go punch CLU in the throat and take his stuff, as much as I would like to do that."

He turns towards her, "And we can't exactly build an army. Not from refugees and renegades. No offense."

Rory White (673) has posed:
"The black virus is definitely the primary culprit. Their origins elude me but they're nothing like grid bugs. So they may have infected him..."

    Rory shakes her head sadly.

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite is still kind of lost at all the computer talk. "Welp, from what I've been told 'bout those black varmints, they're probably related to the cause if not the problem itself. So we gotta find where -they- started comin' from.. right?"

Deelel has posed:
Deelel is not c combat program.

"Look Mcafee was trying to get into the Grid, and spred whatever it is he thinks he's doing. This needs to be handled first or it's going to make things worse."

SHe also thinks if this system gets back up on thier feet they might be able to get /support/ in some fashion right?

"Nope got to wait for the users to get off their asse snad chose to compile more basics."

Deelel muses for a moment

"We need to deal with the black virus first, and Mcafee or he'll mess up any progress we're making back on our system. Also that's about all you can get for the uprising Rek."

The other basic looks over the maps

"Look Mcafee has a lot of programs still locked down, we can rescue them and get this system operating again. We're going to have to hit three targets, cut off the power distruption so we can reboot the entire power grid and starve him out. Second we'll have to deal with Mcafee and finally free the programs from lockup. If he goes down before it might engage some sort of else if enduced delete command and cube every last one of them. I was made to protect this system's ability to function and I will do so."

"Mcafee's disc woudl have information if we end up taking him down, also there's the files you have Rory."

Corona Arclite has posed:
"You want power grids busted or fixed? Now yer talking more my, uh," Corona faulters a moment, if only to come up with the appropriate localized terminology to say it, "... specifications?" She gives a 'did I say that right?' sort of glance to Deelel. "Course, it'd help known what kind of power grid we're dealing with."

Reker (631) has posed:
"I can handle Macafee." Reker says, "He might think he's hot shit but I'm one of the best fighters I know, especially in a one on one situation. All I need to do is get close to him, which means dealing with all of those damn monsters."

He frowns, "Though I'm assuming you don't want me to kill him if we need to get his disk."

Rory White (673) has posed:
"We have little resources to spare. A one on one - or many of us on one - is the best option. Luring McAfee into a trap is probably ideal. He seems to be acting under the idea that all other programs are infected, so orchestrating an ambush has a significant chance of success!" Rory declares solidly, if not exactly proudly.

She hates violence, but loves tactics. Is that weird?

Deelel has posed:
Deelel gives Corona a ya you did look back briefly. The other program is more focused on his plans at the moment.

"We need to take it down reboot it and that should return control to me, the highest free admin program at this point in time. He'll be starved for power for anything that isn't his standard operation and it should shut down those gates he's been trying to make."

"So once the power systems are handled we can set up the ambush like Rory suggested we'll need bait for this right? Given your function you should be with the bait team. We need to offer him bait he just can not ignore. Even glitched it's still his nature to carry out his directives even if he's infected by these things. So while he's being lured into a trap a second smaller team which I'll lead can go after the programs he's locked up. The trick is to not take him down before ... we can free them. Rory you'll need to be with the bait team to keep an eye on Mcafee doing anything."

The Kernel looks to Deelel and the others.

"Your not useless at something you were not compiled for? Consider me impressed."

"A disc will last after he dies. IF it comes to that but he likely has a dead man's trigger on the hostages he's crazy enough to do that."

"Agreed."

Corona Arclite has posed:
"Rawht then." Corona grabs the ID Disc she was given at the start of this chain of events from her back. "Gimme whatever data you've got on the power network here. Make it easier to do what needs doin'."

She's just hoping the time she's spent working with Deelel and helping Alpha take care of stuff at the gate has learned enough about how things work in this digital world to do it. But that's not enough to stop her from trying to help.

Reker (631) has posed:
"So basically dick him around until you guys get the hostages out." Reker actually grins a little bit as he hears this plan, "That's crazy. I like it."

Rory White (673) has posed:
"I missed the part about the deadman switch. There goes my plan. yours is much better!" Rory concedes, looking frustrated for not noticing that detail earlier. "Where are the power systems? How can we reset them?"

Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "Yes, keep him going, keep him ranting keep him fighting til we can get them lose. It's the best action we got at the moment. As for the power systems this isn't my system."

The big program looks up.

"Nothern part of the city just on the edge of the outlands, we hit regain control and lock Mcafee out. I can remove his premissions. We then lay low for a bit to let him lose his cool and we set up the ambush. He should be so angry he'll throw caution to the wind."

Corona Arclite has posed:
Corona Arclite nods her head. "If we're lucky it'll make him think it's some viruses lockin' him out and he won't keep us waitin' long to spring the real surprise on his ASCII."
