The Artificial-Nonartificial Happiness Festival
Date of Scene: 06 May 2015
Location: Techno Urbania
Synopsis: A different kind of festival.
Cast of Characters: Deelel, 20, 64, 437, 516, 554, 578, Sanary Rondel, 740, 759

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
After a swift change of venue to encompasse the Festival's all-inclusive nature, the Artificial-Nonartificial Person Happiness Festival begins! Elphelt has used a vast majority of her union paycheck, as well as lots of pouting and looking cute at the Mayor of Technourbania to rent out the local park for the event.

Amidst the grass of the park, there's several large stands set up. The leftmost houses a bevvy of food and drink, fit for consumption by organic and certain non-organic beings alike of all sorts! On the opposite side of the park, there's a number of fueling and recharging stations fit for beings of all sorts, be they technological or magical.

Near the center of the park, long booths full of traditional carnival games are lined up, with their twin booths being more of the electronic variety. All of the games give out tokens which can be redeemed at a booth right in the middle of the park for various prizes!

Opposite the entrance and past the booths of games and food, there's a stage set up. A large banner across it reads, 'Happy-Happy Talent Show!' At a voting booth in front of it, the pink haired mistress of the event has a loudspeaker, calling out loudly to those entering!

"HELLLLOOOO TECHNO-URBANIA! Organice, and non-organic people alike! Welcome to the ARtificial-Nonartificial Happiness Festival! Give me a cheer everyone! Looooooove aaaand...."

"PEEEEEACE!" Echoes some of the crowd and El alike.

She giggles into the loudspeaker.

"Come and play and eat to your heart's content! There'll be a talent show in an hour everyone, so please sign up if you're interested in winning FAAAABULOUS PRIIIIZES!!!" Comes the woman, even more chipper and cheery than usual. She's all grins and smiles, protocols going on overdrive.

It's all staffed by cheery looking holograms, robots, AI, and organic beings of many races alike. A true party of diversity! Pink seems to be the general theme here, with banners declaring peace, love, hearts, and friendship all over the place. It might be a little overdone, but those here and many of the patrons seem to be partying and enjoying the moment.

Valka (759) has posed:
A party did sound like a good idea.

Getting out and meeting new people, seeing new parts of her newly expanded world, and leaving her dragon behind for an evening did sound rather interesting. Besides, the place that this was being held - Techno Urbania - did have one of her weaknesses involved. Namely, technology. Going there means that Valka might get a little less wary around it.

The trip through the warp gate was almost instantaneous, and when she finally materializes in this part of the world, her breath is taken away by the flash of the lights, the sounds, the smells.

It's almost more than she can take in, but she does manage.

Dressed in a comfortable dress that swirls around her ankles, with a bag slung over her shoulder, Valka takes several moments to take in the sights, deciding at first to try one of the carnival games before being distracted by the scent of something being deep fried. Her stomach makes the decision for her and the red-haired woman heads that way. Time for sweets!

Lou (64) has posed:
Pink suits one of the attendees just fine, even if this might have been a bit excessive. Having helped set up - and move - some of the decorations, Lou's field units had gotten a good, early look. Three in number, their serial numbers unimportant considering they all look identical, two of them seem to be waiting closeby for Elphelt to finish, so that they might bid her their goodbyes. "The mission is complete, Miss Valentine," drones one Lou, in their characteristic, reverbed CAST monotone. "Extraneous field units will return to other duties," reports the other, seemingly leaving little room to convince either one otherwise. They both give a light bow at the waist, and then begin to make their way out of the area.

That still leaves one behind, hands folded in front of her, and staring with those concentric-ringed irises in cold aqua blue. "Crowd level is near capacity. Even my sensors may prove useless for tracking this amount of activity." Accordingly, she switches to passive mob heuristics, so that any interruptions will hopefully appear as spikes out of the noise. "I will begin my patrol of the area now. My research suggests I should partake of the activities, to better blend in. I will see you again soon, Miss Valentine." With that, she steps off in an area of less immediate egress than her 'sisters' did previously, bright bubblegum pink hair soon fading into the crowds, and her beret, like a raft on the waves, soon swept out into the sea of diversity.

Freya (578) has posed:
Freya had heard about this Festial with a really long name and desided to go to it. It sounded like fun. She looks over at the loud pink haired girl shouting she sounds quite hyper. Freya looks around al all the stall trying to deside what to first. She walks over to try the area where carnival games are.

Defiant (554) has posed:
Valka might have left her dragon at home, however, Defiant's tends to go wherever he goes. Or maybe he goes wherever she goes, it's hard to tell because they're so often practically joined at the hip. Of course, today, the pair have eschewed their green and gold powered armor for civilian outfits. They're not Defiant and Dragon, but Colin and Tess.

Oh, and they seem to have dragged Toph Beifong with them. It was Dragon's idea, and she seems to be set on leading the little group - a cyborged man, an eerie-looking woman and a blind girl - over to the carnival games. This'll brighten Toph's day, surely!

Deelel has posed:
After the things on the System known as the Cloud and her home system of the Grid? Then after what she saw Cell do? She's needed to get out and to something that's a million miles away from that sort of thing for the moment. She's arrived at the part and notices there's quite a crowd. The name's a bit off kilter to her but the intent is totally not. She can tell Elphelt means ever word she's saying.

So the basic clad in her odd clothing has cone out to check out the various stalls, but first she could use some food or energy.

R Valka would find the blue black haired woman come up behind her as she's looking over to the food.

"Hey your new right? How about I get you something on me?!"

There were so many forms of lie here and this made her happy honestly..

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham is strutting her stuff as she walks through the festival area, having decided to be a bit more 'natural' and just go ahead in her armor, she doesn't seem to mind being just a bit bulkier, and it's not like she can't just switch her armor off, after all. Those high heeled boots of hers click-clack against the pavement, smiling and waving to the various holographic and robotic staff she comes by. She's already holding an E-can and sipping it from a straw by the time she comes up on Elphelt and Lou, giving a gloved waved to the two.

"I haven't seen an event like this before, you're the organizer, right?" she looks from Lou to Elph, tilting her head a little.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
After yesterday's.. Interesting situation, Sanary could use a break. Preferably, somewhere without people-absorbing insects or any sort of explosions. It's for that reason she's in Techno Urbania today after hearing about the festival being set up by... Someone? She didn't recognize the name, and the name of the event itself certainly had a bit to do with her coming here instead of trying to sleep in again.

And of course, what's the first thing for a newcomer to festival's to do? Check out the food, of course! Besides, she hasn't eaten anything since waking up from her midday nap, and there was plenty of weird greasy food to help take her mind off the image of that drained guy sloshing around in her shield!

     Dammit.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
FOOD

Valka and Sanary would find quite the array of sweets! From cakes, to various pastries, to drinks ranging from tea and soda, to ales and liquors that have warning labels citing 'not fit for human consumption', or 'doubles as battery acid'. She might even find drinks and food native to, or similar at least, to her homeland! They're all generally free, though donations towards various charitable causes. It certainly doesn't take long to procure the crispy goodness of a funnel cake!

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
As soon as Annie heard about the premise and contents of this festival, she knew it was a place she needed to be. Fun and games, with a message of unity among humans, androids, and all manner of other beings? How could she possibly miss it? Deciding to add to the fun by dressing in her favorite Alice costume, the little android arrived through the gate and started looking about for what to do first, soon settling on approaching the carnival games section. What sort of attractions would it offer?

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Sure, she had heard about this party. But it wasn't like Toph intended to go at first. Normally she enjoys fun, but the last weeks have been rough on the girl it seems. So she had planned on staying at Stark tower and have a quiet night.

At least until Defiant and Dragon had insisted that she come along with them.

While Toph is wearing civilian clothing today, an oversized yellow shirt and grey pants that end below her knees, she does appear far less impressive and far more relaxed. This place is really filled with people, huh? Perhaps it's a good thing Toph doesn't know how pink everything is. Then again, would she care? It's just a colour, after all.

For now she follows after the two capes, her hands in her pockets as she walks and inspects the area. It's a bit tough to know what's going on at each booth, but surely Dragon will let her know. If she was hungry perhaps those sweet smells would be nice... but she doesn't head over to the food stalls just yet. "Just what are those things...? Machines?" Toph asks as they near the games.

Valka (759) has posed:
So many different things, from small round disks coated in batter, to long bits of meat on a stick...coated in batter, and all cooked in that shimmering metal pool that smells almost like the ground nuts grown during good springs for emergency rations. Valka does stay away from the ones that smell overly toxic, including the vials of clear liquid that state, in no uncertain terms, 'Will blow your mind - do NOT consume if human.' How they managed to get the font to blink like that is something she'll wonder for a while, but when she's spoken to? Valka is nothing if not polite.

"Does it show that obviously?" Valka asks, brushing imaginary dust from her skirt as she turns, pushing one of her braids back over her shoulder from where it fell across her face. "It's...a bit overwhelming, this place, so a woman has to go to what she knows - good food." She smiles, offering a hand. "I'm Valka. From Berk. Normally I have a dragon, a staff, and some armor, but here..." She looks around. "It might cause a bit of a panic to have a 1200 kilo dragon sampling the wares." She chuckles and then realizes she's been asked a question. "Oh yes, please. Thank you. One of those sweet cakes cooked in the golden vat, please." When it's handed over, she sniffs curiously, then takes a bite. "Oh gods..." Powdered sugar coats her lips. "This is heavenly."

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
GAMES: Annie would find quite a number of games! On the traditional side, there's a cup-game of chance, a pop-gun marksmanship game where one shoots plastic ducks that move, ring-toss, whack-a-mole, various claw games, and ski-ball! One of the workers, a floating ball that seems to move things with anti-gravity, gives a warbly voiced greetings to her.

"Greetings and good-day, Sir, Madame, or Other! Would you like to try the bean-bag toss?" Comes the electronic voice. One credit for five tries! In the booth, there's a wooden stand with several holes, the farther and narrower holes with greater point values. Win a special prize if one can hit the narrow center hole!

Toph and Defiant, on the electronic games side, would find everything from Galaga, to space invaders, to full-on 3d virtual games! It's like a massive arcade!

One in particular stands out in that row.

'VIRTUAL MINEFIELD RUN-AND-SEEK', it reads. It has several chairs, for full-body immersion in 3d! The helpful golden droid by the game cheerfully declares this.

Defiant (554) has posed:
"There's a fair few of them around," Dragon says to Toph, hands in her pockets. "But these are video games, arcade machines to be precise. Space Invaders is a classic," she says, green eyes wandering around the various electronic games. Defiant stands by, noticably less enthused by them - however he's never really enthused by anything.

Dragon examines the golden droid up and down, and then realises something. "I have a plan. Toph, how are you at ski-ball?"

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
EL:

Elphelt puts down her loudspeaker, and claps her hands! "Oh, thank you so much, Miss Lou...Lous? Eh heh, ANYWAY! You've all been a big help! I'm so sorry it was such a sudden switch. But I didn't want to leave anyone out! I owe you guys!"

Then she giggles!

"Enjoy! You'll learn a lot, and maybe you'll have fun! Don't forget to activate your Fun Protocols, okay Miss Lou!?" She offers as the woman goes off!

Lou, of course, is soon greeted by a shady looking droid in a trenchcoat, fedora, and with rust on him.

"Hey there strangah! Ain't this a fine festival. Why, I've got some /goods/ here, aye! Wanna take a peek?" The droid opens the trenchcoat, and there's various vials of chemicals, metals, and other sketchy-seeming concoctions. One has a scraped off label that might have once read, 'liquid anti-matter'. Security at the event doesn't seem to have noticed him.

When Ferham walks up to the booth? Elphelt grins! "Yuuup, that's me! Elphelt Valentine!" Two hands are thrust out towards Ferham, and they're soon shaking ecstatically if she allows it!

"I hope you have a good time, Miss...?" She starts, grinning a bit.

"Just remember! Today is all about love and coexistance! Let's make the Multiverse /SHINE/ with sisterly, and brotherly, and AIly love and happiness!"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
The funnel cake is what confounds Sanary more than anything else. It's called cake, but it's fried and crispy while still being chewy. Despite being fried, however, it's... Sweet? Truly a mysterious thing that the healer has no intention of trying to make on her own time in the near future. None at all. Never.

She really needs to be careful not to get her suit dirty, at least. Between the funnel cake in one hand, several corn dogs in the other, and tiny bag of fried chicken bits in the other, she's definitely not watching her waist while she's out here. The girl's definitely enjoying herself at any rate, though, alternating between of funnel cake and corn dogs while scanning the area for more food and where to go next.

She could probably use a drink, though. Maybe later. Besides, someone's speaking to her! While she's in mid-bite, no less. Turning to Valka as she speaks, a confused look crossing her eye. "Does what show?" She's got the sense to swallow before talking, at least, and it doesn't take too much effort to rebalance the immediately-edible food onto one hand so she can shake Valka's hand firmly. "Sanary. From Plegia. Yeah, I can imagine a dragon being a little... Hard to hide around here. Although the first one I met didn't kill me, so." She laughs lightly, although there's still a hint of nervousness in her voice at that last part. She takes a moment to bite off some more corn dog while the woman's distracted by the funnel cake, squinting a bit at the inside of... Whatever a corn dog is.

"I need to figure out how they make these things. So good... Ah. So you have a pet dragon, you said? How's that... Uh. How's that work?"

Deelel has posed:
Deelel grins a little bit at Valka.

"It can be this world as it is was mind blowing to myself and humm a dragon? Where I'm a being born of technology that likely unknown to your world. I'm Deelel and to put it simply I make music and visual art."

She'll make sure to pay for Valka's food as she promised and Sanary gets gets a look from her.

"Hello Sanary, we meet again in far happier situation."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Video games, huh? Toph shrugs, not looking too impressed. Then again, there's a reason for that. "Video games aren't exactly my thing," she reminds them before she points at her eyes. Digital games aren't exactly fitting for a blind person, now are they?

At the mention of something else though, Toph arches an eyebrow. "I haven't tried that before, what is it? Something with a ball, I assume?"

Yes, Toph is very observant as usual.

Lou (64) has posed:
The CAST's own hydraulically cushioned steps come to a soft, distinctly mechanized standstill. Lou is aware enough of being directly addressed, head pivoting and irises bringing Ferham into focus, as well as the curious (to her databases) beverage. A rapid spectrographic analysis of its structure is conducted before she even consciously considers it. Then she reaches a gloved hand of her own, in response, as giving the standard bow in the middle of a group of people would disrupt their flow. "I am Lou," she states simply, "An ally of the Union and member of the Guardians. However, for this event, it seems adequate to merely greet you as a CAST."

While she's still close enough to remark, a strange glance is given to the seemingly eternally bubbly Elphelt, though her expression is hard to read. "Fun would be irresponsibe, but -- I will not be suffering." A real party animal, Lou is.

Not having much in the way of social graces, outside of her preset protocols for interaction, she seems intent to continue on her way. However, she's soon stopped again by the shadiest droid this side of Mos Eisley. If she were less serious in her dealings, there might be a look of disbelief, at the chances that they would choose to approach her, of all possible targets. As with Ferham's E-can before, a rapid spectrographic analysis is given to the trenchcoat's contents, and if they prove to register on any of the multiverse's illicit substances databases, she will reach out a hand to pick this stranger up by the scruff, with alarming strength for her size. "This is not the place for this. I would suggest you leave, or I will carry you out." There's no trace of anger, simply fact.

Valka (759) has posed:
"Nevermind." Valka says with a smile, waving her non-funnel-cake holding hand before nodding. "I do. Cloudjumper's not exactly a pet dragon, either." Valka corrects, wiping her mouth with the corner of a sleeve, leaving a streak of powdered sugar on the edge that's rather visible on the dark leather. "More of a companion. He and I are close friends - almost bonded, you might say, but without the mental connection that some of the other dragons have on this world. And hiding...well...he doesn't do that very well. Size and weight and all of that."

Valka takes another bite of her funnel cake, seeming to not really mind getting a little powdered sugar on herself, already mastering the 'lean over and eat so stuff falls on the ground and not you' pose made famous by hundreds of millions of drunkards eating late night food. The funnel cake, too, vanishes quite quickly - apparently the woman has an appetite and isn't afraid to use it! She does lean over to peer at the corn dog. "Looks like a sausage on a stick, dipped in that....yellow batter stuff over there." She helpfully points at the booth. "Should be easy enough to duplicate....Now, a drink, a drink...." She looks around for someone serving drinks. Alcoholic or no.

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
Annie grins up at the floating ball. "Of course!" she says, depositing a coin where instructed and picking up a bean bag. Her aim's pretty good, she thinks; something like this shouldn't be too hard. She lifts the bean bag in her hand a few times to get a feel for it before making her first toss.

Defiant (554) has posed:
"It does involve a ball," Dragon comments. "It's a simple arcade game, similar to bowling. You roll a ball up an inclined lane and attempt to shoot it into a hole. The closer to the center, the smaller the hole. The smaller the hole, the greater the points. I think there should be enough metal for you to get a feel for it. Colin will demonstrate first."

Colin grunts out what's probably an affirmative response as the little trio makes the quick journey to the traditional games. After all, there's more than enough metal in Colin now that Toph should be able to get a feel for the movements.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
GAMES: DEFIANT and TOPH would indeed find that there's a ski-ball game! Several in fact. One is large enough for an autobot to play, and has appropriate caution signs. But there's several on scale for humans, those shorter than humans, etc. A pair of ski-ball games, one for an adult and one for kids, is near the end of the electronics booth! There's a woman in a cloak hanging upside down on a pole, in pink and smiling with vampire fangs as the pair pass by.

"Hello there little von, Miss! Are you two looking to play ski-ball? Don't be shy now, I only bite vhen they ask!"

ANNIE: The first toss bonks against the center...and slides out into the one right next to it!

"So close, Madame! 50 points. You win twenty-five tokens and one free throw! PLease try again! Only 100 more points and you win our special prize!" Another throw!

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ferham," Fer raised a hand in greeting to Elphelt, and to Lou--that hand soon being borrowed as Elphelt rigorously shakes it with both of hers. Peeking down, Fer raises a brow at Elphelt's oni-red fingers. Those were a little bit of a eyecatcher, apparently. "From what I understand 'AI' is also Japanese for love, so I think you're onto something there," Ferham waits till El is done with her hand, before lifting her E-can back up and having another sip of it, those lovely red lips of hers catching the straw.

"So, who's this guy, some kind of contraband dealer?" she gestures to the trenchcoat man, looking off for a moment as she might be dimly aware Sanary was around and lurking about in the area somewhere.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Wait a second. That lady wasn't talking to her at all, was she? Or she was? It's hard to tell. Leaning slightly to the side, Sanary freezes up briefly upon realizing that Deelel had been there the whole time. She coughs into her sleeve several times to stall for a moment and regain her composure, an awkward blush covering her face. Still, she eventually manages to tap her hand to her head in a somewhat awkward salute.

"H-hey, Deelel. Didn't see you there. Definitely... Much happier today, yeah." So much for trying to forget about the mushman. Still, she can't linger on it all night, or the food won't go down properly at all! "Feeling better today? Not still injured or anything, are you?"

That takes some of the edge off, at least. Turning to Valka, there's a sigh of relief as the older woman appears to just be taking it in stride and even responding. "Hm... Definitely doesn't sound like yesterday's, then." Laughing again, she brings the corn dog in closer to stare at the yellow bits in the batter before devouring the first one. "Tastes like... Corn bread and salty meat-ish thing. I like it." At the mention of drinks, though, the healer's eye also begins scanning the area for someone or something with the necessary liquids!

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Like bowling, huh. That doesn't sound so hard. So the blind girl follows along, nodding. "I can sense the metal there," she confirms. Though unless the ball is of earthen material she won't know too well how she's doing. But sure, let Defiant demonstrate first. When the woman speaks up, Toph blinks and looks honestly surprised at first, then she blinks. "Yeah...? We were going to play it, why else would we be there?" the earthbender points out. it's a good thing this strange lady isn't planning on biting them, though why would she say that? Weird.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
LOU AND FERHAM:

The trench-coated droid's wares are universally /highly/ illegal, even here. They're actually pretty light, this droid, dangling in Lou's grasp. It actually /grins/.

"Oh don't be a stick in the mud, Strangah! These'll get yer protocols pumpin, 'it will! It's a party ain't it, so why don't ya /relax/." There's several security droids walking/floating over already!

El smiles warmly at Ferham.

"Nice to meet you too Ferham! Is it!? Oh man, that's so cute! We'll have AI of all fashions here then!" Squee's the overly excitable bridebot.

"Um, can I ask what you are? You kinda remind me of, well...me, if I wore heavier clothes." She shows off her dress here a little.

Then El looks to the trenchcoat man. There's two hands on her hips, and she /pouts/ in his direction.

"That better all be legal mister!" She shakes her head to Fer.

"He's not part of that staff, that's for sure!"

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
FOOD: There's dozens of drinks to choose from! ONe particularly curious drink comes in a large, almost lava-lamp like cup with a big straw. It's color constantly changes. The label says, 'Do not drink if allergic to hyper-catnip'. Weird!

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
Annie watches with anticipation as the bag sails toward its goal, before snapping her fingers in consternation as it rebounds out of the center. "So close!" she says. But hey, she got a free second chance at it, on top of the four she had left from her credit. Surely she could get one of those remaining five in, with how close the first one was. So she takes the next bean bag- a blue one, matching her Alice dress, she thought- and tried to duplicate her last throw, but compensating slightly for the previous error. "Come on..."

Lou (64) has posed:
Any attempts at charming are completely lost on Lou, seemingly content to keep a hands on approach with the situation until the other security arrives. When they do, she seems to have few qualms with placing them into their capable hands, or other manipulative limbs. "If irony processes were active, I might experience rudimentary appreciation for your approaching me," comes her own insight, though given with her standard stony expression which exhibits no mirth. "Do not resist further and you will not be harmed." With that apparently handled, for now, she adjusts her glove, turning her gaze onto Ferham again, "The substances I could identify were, on average, illegal in over eight-hundred and two unique regions. I could not allow their presence to disrupt Miss Valentine's hard work." A pointed look is given to Elphelt, as she says so.

With that seemingly finished, she's soon pacing away again. This time making her way towards the carnival games. A quick inspection is conducted, again without her truly being aware of it - it is simply in her nature to perform analysis and collect information. Plus, it wouldn't do for some shady contractor to sully Elphelt's good name by trying to offer rigged games, would it? Finding her cursory examination to be satisfactory, she opts for a skill based game that CASTs excel at: Marksmanship, stepping up to a booth with not too many around.

Unfortunately, anyone that owns this game is likely to have their patience tried with this many Elites around, but for today, it isn't likely about turning a profit. She sets an appropriate amount of credits down, nonetheless - a tip, if anything. "I will purchase three plays." A sudden pause, and a realization, "Stabilization and correction systems suspended." The point of a game is supposed to be for sport, after all. Some far corner of her mind must have some sense of fairness, after all.

Valka (759) has posed:
Now that VAlka has gathered a couple of people to hang out with - Deelel and Sanary - she feels a little more comfortable. Familiarity, even when one is in a black bodysuit or wearing a red eye patch, is welcomed, so the older woman decides that, perhaps, heading to the drink stands would be adequate. "Since you bought my food, I shall buy drinks for the pair of you." Valka magnanimously declares, moving to the most gaudily lit stand that there is that's serving drinks and ordering three of 'whatever's most popular.' Strangely enough, it's those volcanic glowing drinks.

The woman's eyes go wide at the sight of it, holding it with both hands, waiting for the other two to get theirs. "Well....thor's health to you both!" she cries, lifting the drink before taking a big swallow....

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
GAMES: ANNIE's throw arcs beautifully! It's perfect...except just a bit too high. Pausing in mid-air dramatically as though boosted by some installed anti-gravity Beanbag Toss Drama Increaser (tm), it hangs for a good two seconds! Then down it goes!

Plop! Wobble wobble! The beanbag shifts...

And falls in! Party poppers and confetti go everywhere as bells go off signaling victory!

"Congratulations, Madame! You win our big prize!" The ball floats something large towards Annie, easily over her height!

It's...a stuffed giant robot, all pink and fluffy! When hugged in the middle? It speaks!

"I...robo-love...you!"

"World...peace....for all!" and other such sayings in a tinny voice!

Sanary Rondel has posed:
To drink or not to drink? Sure, why not. After all, Vaka's buying! After passing some credits over to the food vendor for donations, Sanary turns her full attention to the drink in the lava-lamp cup. She eyes the drink skeptically while watching the colors shift, almost entranced by it if not for all the sounds around her keeping her somewhat anchored in reality.

"Hm... Pretty sure I'm not allergic to regular catnip, so... Should be safe, right?" She glances between Valka and Deelel a few times before shrugging. There's no progress without some risk, after all! "Thor? Never heard of it, but sure why not!" And so, she takes a long sip of the colorful drink, swishing it around in her mouth to taste first before swallowing.

"I'll get the next round, then... Huh. Stuff's not bad. Kinda reminds me of... Oh, what's it called." She scratches the back of her head lightly while mulling over where that familiarity is coming from. When she draws her hand away, however, she doesn't seem to notice the two fuzzy protrusions sprouting from the top of her head. Spontaneous tumors, perhaps? On closer inspection, they would look eerily similar to a cat's ears.

Except... She also has her regular ears. What she does notice, however, is the feline tail sprouting from behind her, shifting around uncomfortably as it works its way out from the back of her pants.

"... I think I need to change my pants."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"It's nice to meet you too, very much so," Ferham is returning Elphelt's smile, with a nod. "Something of that sort--I'm a Reploid, high-performance model," she looked over at the man in the trench coat and waved him off. "Maybe this isn't the best place for this, sir?" she gave him a nod as if she'd probably speak to him later, or the like. "Don't worry about him," she shook her head. Apparently Lou had already summoned security on the poor creep.
"Haven't seen too many CASTs before, nice to meet you, I'm Ferham," Fer introduces herself formally to Lou as well, giving a nod of her head, her E-can clutched at her side. "Well then, maybe we can talk later, Miss Elphelt?" she nodded, giving the event runner a little wave as she went to mingle some more.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
The droid goes silent, grinning as he's put away into those securi-bot hands.

"Oh don't be...so...hasty...Strangah...beep-boop...shutting-down..."

The droid goes limp as he's hauled away!

Elphelt slumps a bit.

"...Oh thank goodness. That could've been bad! JERK, DON'T YOU RUIN MY HAPPINESS FESTIVAL!" El can be /loud/.

Lou gets a sunny smile.

"Thank you! Have fun Miss Lou!"

There's, oddly enough, another droid at the marksmanship contest. It seems deactivated. Suddenly, it jerks up, eyes turning red.

The marksmanship game is fairly simple! Shoot the moving targets! Some seem to more in circles, others in various speeds liniarly below!

The droid chimes up!

"Beep...boop...going online." Pause.

"Hey there Strangah, ya lookin' to shoot some?" Isn't that voice immediately familiar, Lou?

The droid looks to the one being hauled away.

"Aw, pity that, me brudda Bob! But don't you worry mate, this here's Entirely Legit-Bot Earl's Shootin' Gallery!" Grin!

"Score big and win a biiig prize Strangah!" She's handed the popgun!

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
FERHAM gets a wave as she heads off! "Coool! I'm a Valentine! Maybe we can meet again some time, Miss Ferham! I always want to meet more artificial humans! Have fun okay?"

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
FOOD: VALKA would find the drinks to taste rather...spicey. And earthy. They, in fact, taste like what a literal volcano would taste like if a human could drink it. Hopefully she can also take the 180 proof grain alcohol /and/ tons of cayanne and Distilled Volcano Essence within it!

Vendor not responsible for spontaneous combustion /or/ heating of the face.

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
Annie seems a bit suspicious when the bag pauses in the air, but she's given a happy surprise when it goes into the center. "I did it!" she says, accepting the prize, giggling as she tries out the voice function. "It's really cute! Thanks a lot," she says to the floating sphere, before dragging the plush robot off in the direction of the shooting gallery. But rather than trying it herself, she just stands back to watch Lou as she takes her turn.

Valka (759) has posed:
The first mouthful of Valka's drink is really good. The sweetness of the earthiness reminds her of the mead back home. That earthiness is quickly supplanted by the kick of the alcohol and the spiciness which, at first, causes a simple reddening of the cheeks. Then, sweating. Then running of the nose which is quickly wiped away. Why, oh why, does she follow this first drink with another drink? Why, gods, why?

Valka, ladies and gentlemen, is apparently a glutton for punishment when the booze is this good! "*Cough* S'got a KICK to it, doesn't it?"

Lou (64) has posed:
How extremely suspicious. Or it might be to someone that doesn't operate purely on logic. Any notions Lou might have are kept to herself, however, in favor of inspecting the offered firearm. Finding it at a casual glance to be up to safety standards, she then trains her eyes on the game board itself. Of course it couldn't simply be a stationary target - the approach of carnival games is far trickier than that, even the 'honest' ones. Accordingly, nothing trips any alarms here. "Yes, I have come to shoot," she confirms. While she accepts things on face value, a slight trace of doubt manages to crack through, "I trust you do not share your brother model's corrupt kernel."

Her passive radar alerts her to an onlooker. Annie is given a brief glance - neither a glare nor a smile, the intent of which is soon made clear as she turns back to the firing range and levels the popgun: "Please stand clear - even toy weapons can be dangerous." With a practiced grip, despite her having de-activated any of her internal cheat codes, she takes aim at the targets and squeezes off shots, unhindered by the need to breathe as regularly as someone with more flesh bits might. She has no particular goal in mind, as prizes interest her less than the mechanics of participating in the game do. "Catharsis processors are operating at a low level - but register even when I miss. Perhaps this is the fun Miss Valentine warned me that I might experience."

Deelel has posed:
Deelel is keeping with the others for a moment. She does think she's streange to a lot of world so doesn't seem to mind any odd looks she gets. She'll go to get the drink.

"Thor's proven to be quite the ally in the past I found. So why not?"

She'll look over to Sanary and says "No I'm not injured, nothing my inante functions couldn't handle. IF I'd been hurt you'd have know it, I'd be leaving cubes all all over the place."

With that she pauses after her drink. She feels a bit /strange/. There's a reason she's now got a cat like tail poking out of her pants and she's got a pair of cat ears as well.

"...this is unexpected."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Maybe it's just the booze making her feel strange. Colors do seem to be getting more vivid as Sanary keeps sipping from the lava lamp-like cup, though, and the spontaneously-appearing ears even twitch a bit as Valka and Deelel speak. "Definitely different from the stuff I usually drink. Aah... The stronger, the better, right?"

Laughing and talking about anything else definitely helps keep her mind off that feeling in the back of her pants, at least. She raises an eyebrow at Deelel at the mention of cubes, squinting for a moment at all the colors. So. MANY. COLORS.

"So you're kinda like a Digimon, then? Or computer... Something?" That would explain some things, at least. The bodysuit, the sudden cat ears and tail... Wait. Cat ears and tail?

"Uh... You've got a little something up there. And down there. That's not normal for you, is it?" She doesn't seem to notice her own ears and tail just yet, the latter actually swishing a bit behind her once it breaks free of the confines of that infernal belt.

Ferham (516) has posed:
Happening by, Ferham notices Sanary standing there, or someone that looks a lot like them. "Are you wearing some sort of cosplay thing...?" Ferham reached over and gave a little tug on one of Sanary's new 'nekomimi' ears or whatever they were, before looking down and noticing the tail there, as well.

Fer also peers off to the distance, likely noticing that Annie had actually come along, the fembot strides over to give the fundroid a wave and a smile. "Hey, I hope you're having a fun time so far, any problems?"

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
VALKA:

The person giving out the drinks appears to be a fire elemental. 'She' gives an excessively warm grin, though is kind enough to turn aside slightly so as to not scorch her patron or light her on fire.

"Firesia Drinks are the best in all of the elemental planes, Ma'am! All made with certified non-Lava-Elemental-hurting volcano essence! We're Multiversal Fair Trade! Check out our multiversal internet site, at, www.burnyoursoulawaybooze.mu!"

Valka promptly is given three more drinks. One seems to be an /ice/ volcano drink.

LOU:

The droid just keeps grinning mechanically.

"Naw, naw Strangah! All perfectly Legit, I am! Promise!"

Pop! Pop! goes the popgun, shooting little corks from the clip at a rather high rate of fire. Thankfully there's a backblast to catch them. Quite a few are struck, and knocked down! AT first, all goes well.

Then the cork literally does a u-turn motion /around/ one of Cas's targets. Elphelt peeks over from her booth.

Reaching into her bouquet, she pulls out...a champagne bottle? Popping the cork, it goes flying! PONK!

That 'missed' target falls down. The suspicious droid visibly slumps.

"Aw, darnit, stupid Valentine ruinin' a perfectly good sha...I mean legitimate stand. Here, ya win, Strangah."

Then he pulls out a very, very large, very heavy package. It has pink packaging and a ribbon.

It distinctly feels like a chaingun of some form.

"Enjoy, Strangah, and don't go...doin' anythin' I wouldn't with it!"

Lou (64) has posed:
A truly suspicious carnival game indeed. If Lou had been serious about it, perhaps on some level she might have experienced annoyance. ..though that is itself, doubtful. Instead, she ponders the strange mechanics, and figures incorrectly for once that this must also be part of the game. Perhaps the inevitable 'random chance' part of the equation. "Understood. Thank you," she drones, hefting the offered package, and instead of carrying it around, lifts it around to a ceramic bauble at the small of her back. Once there, the package - and whatever it contains - glows, seemingly turning into a form of energy, before it's absorbed for ease of transport. "Your game passes muster," she informs the crestfallen gamesdroid. "Enjoy the rest of the festival." With that, she resumes much this same check and protocol routine, into the evening.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "This is amazing and it's hard to grasp just how many formjs of life and yes! I'm a program known as a basic actually an wait what..."

HEr Tail goes straight up in shock. Deelel takes a moment o get used o t it.

"ummm no this is not normal at all! However you seem to have a pair and are looking to be the cat's meow as well!"

Valka (759) has posed:
Valka passes the two other drinks to the other two of her companions, keeping the ice volcano one for herself to hopefully turn down the heat that's currently cooking her insides. It's so hot she won't need a coat when she gets back home! The woman does giggle, taking a drink of the cooling liquid, looking over at Deelel and Sanary, hiccuping a little. "Aw, you're cute. C'mon! Let's go see the games!"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Hearing the familiar voice from behind her, Sanary's in the middle of finishing her drink when Ferham comes up from behind. "Eh? Oh! Hey, Ferh-" She draws in a sharp breath through her teeth at the tugging while her tail goes straight up, twitching just a bit while fidgeting uncomfortably in place.

"N... No, this.. What are you touching? I have a pair of /what/?" The healer's moving rather stiffly while reaching for her head to touch the ears, finally noticing them and the tail. "This.. Uh. This is new. Definitely... Haven't had this happen before." Her face flushes considerably after being called complimented by Valka and Deelel, although it could also be the alcohol. Both, perhaps?

Still turning slowly, she does manage an awkward laugh before gesturing at the three slowly, being careful not to smash the cup into anyone by accident. "Ferham, Deelel and Valka. Deelel and Valka, Ferham. And... Cat parts for some reason. Uh. Y-yeah."

And drinks! Can't forget the drinks. The first one's done, so it's time for the next one offered by Valka. Nothing makes a festival better than drinks! Probably. She does keep that lava-lamp cup, though, because... Why not?

Ferham (516) has posed:
Apparently Fer has missed Annie, the little scamp, so she turns back around to see to Sanary and co. "Think this is a new look for you, what do you think?" Fer came back, giving a little pat and stroke of one of those ears of Sanary's with one black-gloved fingertip. "Kinda like this, actually," then Ferham is just outright drawing a hand down that tail that was suddenly sticking out from her back.

"Oh hello there, you guys," she gives a wave to Dee and Valka, smiling a little.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "No this hasn't but I think magicv is involved somehow."

Deelel can't get drunk in the normal human sense. Sanary may get an email with a few photos of her cat girl self tommrow to be sure.

"Hello Ferham good to meet you and this has been quite the party hasn't it?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"I dunno. Uh. Does look cute on Deelel here. Not sure if it fits me, though..." Sanary chuckles lightly and keeps fidgeting from the hand on her ears, eventually managing a slow nod at the mention of magic. "Probably. Although... Is there any tech that could do this?" There's a low rumbling noise in the back of her throat from Ferham touching her tail, vaguely similar to a hissy grunt.

Even if it is temporary, her reactions are definitely more cat than catgirl.. "S-so. You two wanna check out the rest of the games while we're here?"

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Possibly," Ferham nodded in reply to Deelel's remark about magic. "I've not seen something that can provoke a genetic mutation in a living subject like this before, so... well, lets just assume it's some sort of magical effect," she nodded. "Yes, it's quite a nice party, I thought, I wouldn't mind coming to these once a month or so," Ferham smiled at the program.

"We might have to find what that stuff was called, I think you actually look cute like this, Sanary," and Fer sidles up to reach over and pet those ears again, ohoho.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "Given I don't hae DNA, that would be strange if it did and you know this is nice. I think it helps a lot of species to better understand eachother, right? ID' be happy to see things more often like this. She's certainly one cool cat."

Deelel's taking to the kitty bits pretty well She thinks about the idea to go out and have some fun together with the games.

"Why not, I'd clean up at ring toss."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"I saw this one guy explode a giant robot out of his body, but... Not sure if that's the same thing. Probably easier not to think about it either way." Sanary snickers lightly and strokes her chin, taking another sip of the second drink and shivering for a moment at the burning in her throat. It's still an acquired taste that she hasn't completely... Acquired just yet.

Stupid magic. The compliments and the ear petting do seem to be going over better with her than the tail pulling earlier, at least, if her slight slouch is any indication. That, or the alcohol's kicking in. "Did see a hammer before... Maybe gonna try one o' those."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Well, she's had something to drink, I can tell, it's probably best if I go for now, it was nice meeting you however, Dee," Fer gives the program a little wave, as well as Sanary, before disappearing into the crowd of robots and AI.
