Let's Buy Clothes!
Date of Scene: 13 May 2015
Location: Urbania
Synopsis: A group of Elites head to a mall to shop for clothing.
Cast of Characters: 151, 441, Sarracenia, Sanary Rondel, 781

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer waits in the food court of Terlhawk Mall. Or more of, one of its several food courts. This one is located right in the middle of a wide variety of clothing stores, supplying clothing for beings of all shapes and sizes. Almost any style imaginable is available. Truly, it is a wonderland for anyone who enjoys clothes.

Summer sits at a table, casually sipping at a drink. Her long blonde noble curls look pristine as usual. Due to the need to try on various outfits, she has decided /not/ to wear an elaborate dress today. It'd take too much time switching back and forth. Instead, she is wearing her classic 'Goth' outfit. A tight black tanktop that bares her midriff, and a pair of black leather shorts with a very gothic belt on them. A collar is on her neck, for style purposes. Yeah, usually she has been wearing more 'Gothic Lolita', but it's fun to be in her old standard outfit again.

She looks around. She really isn't sure /who/ will actually show here. She has given coordinates for her location, though, and assumes /someone/ will show up eventually. And so, she just keeps sipping at her soda while waiting, leaning back against a food court table.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley shows up to the food court, moving at what seems to be a hesitant pace, her hands held up nervously near her chest, fingers interlocked together and one thumb rubbing the other. The nerdy lizard creature looks HIGHLY uncomfortable at a public food court, for whatever reason. When she finally spots Summer, she slips over to take a seat at the same table and manages a soft smile at the Goth Homestuck Goddess. Those nervously fiddling hands rest in her lap instead, after that.

"Hello. I do not believe we were ever formally introduced. I'm Ainsley," she says, her voice sounding soft and very deliberately devoid of anything but a vague 'American' accent. "Which shop will we browsing first?" she wonders, looking around with an uncertain crease of her brow.

Rocket (781) has posed:
"Its a Syndicate Network Signal Groot, so stop trying to talk to the plants and lets get moving," Rocket says excitedly to Groot who has a hand against one of the trees in the planters that line the walkway in the secton of Terlhawk Mall the pair are in. "Plus," he half-mutters, "I think they're plastic anyway."

Next to the excited bipedal raccoon, Groot says, "I am Groot." ((That may be. I'm not getting anything from them after all.)) before the pair begin to move in the direction Rocket's directional locator indicates he should go.

When they finally arrive, Rocket is at a rapid jog while Groot follows at a leasurly pace due to his great stride. Rocket climbs up to Groot's shoulder and looks around trying to see where the trouble is and frowns as... "That's odd, nothing seems to be going down here," Rocket says. Groot replies to him: "I am Groot." ((That's good. We were advised to avoid public trouble after all.))

Sanary Rondel has posed:
After moving all that stuff, Sanary definitely needs the break. And what better way than to meet new people in Urbania?

Showering, for one. And eating. She had already taken care of the first thing before showing up, but the second could probably be handled some time during this little trip. She's still dressed in her usual coat and tunic combo, although the latter actually looks like it has been washed somewhat recently. Her boots aren't nearly as clean, but... Well, they're combat boots. They're not meant to be clean, anyway.

Spotting the small gathering isn't too hard, thankfully, what with the... Tree man and tiny clothed raccoon speaking to the two women, one of which she's going to assume is Summer. That is probably them right there. She strolls on up with her best relaxed grin, although there's definitely a bit of confusion at the non-humanoids' appearances.

"Hey there. Uh. Sorry if I'm late. Name's Sanary. Good meeting all o' you."

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer waves to Ainsley. She has heard Ainsley around, and at least knows a few things about her. At the least, she thinks she heard this lizard woman is a good person? Either way, she'll make judgement for herself. Summer gets up, and does a bit of a bow, with one arm extended. She'd curtsy, but. No dress today. Upon Sanary's arrival, she bows as well. She knows even /less/ about Sanary. As she rights herself, she speaks, in a rather casual monotone.

"Greetings. I'm Crowraven Wolfmoon. Or Summer Powers. Whichever you would prefer to call m. It is a pleasure to meet both of you."

A glance is given to Rocket and Groot. She... does not recognize either, and an eyebrow is raised. Even for the Multiverse, a walking tree accompanied by a racoon is odd. Are these two here because of her call, as well? She stands, looking at them. Taking a second to think of /what/ to say.

"...Are both of you here to accompany us on clothes shopping as well?"

Rocket (781) has posed:
Rocket introduces himself as he scurries down Groots arm and then drops to the floor near Summer and Ainsley. "I'm Rocket and my friend here..." Groot interrupts to say, "I am Groot." ((You can call me Groot.)) only to then add, "I am Groot." ((If you wish us to accompany you we will. Rocket detected a Syndicate Network summons so we came.))

Rocket sputters a bit after Groot's second intonation and says, "If you ladies are open to our company Groot can carry your packages for you and I can help keep an eye on yo- *ehm* out for possible trouble."

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley looks at Summer blankly when the monotone voice is heard. The two different names prompt a growing look of confusion on her face, like she has a question about that but doesn't know how to properly approach it. She decides against saying it, instead looking distractedly at Rocket and Groot. There's another blank look at both of them.

Then her gaze focuses at Rocket piercingly, like a lizard staring down prey, when he has that verbal slip. She does not appear to have much of a sense of humor... or maybe she's trying to guess what he was about to say. The slow blink implies a lack of understanding, which carries over to Sanary when that one shows up as well. "Hello," she greets in a soft voice, sounding much more uneasy now.

"You two remind me of metahuman races from back home," she tells Rocket and Groot. "I was not expecting to run into that kind of familiarity." She manages a smile at both of them. Yep, no hostility from her, just extreme social awkwardness. Her hands go back up to fiddle together in front of her chest.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Strangely enough, Sanary doesn't appear to be too perplexed by Ainsley's appearance. Rocket's and Groot's definitely do, but she does appear more relaxed after the initial surprise from seeing them.

"Summer, Rocket, Groot, Ainsley, Groo-..." Did he just say his name twice? Strange. The healer offers the group a quick salute with two fingers, stuffing her hands into her coat pockets a moment later and chuckling at Rocket's response to Summer.

"Thanks for the offer. I got no problem with you two coming along. If there is trouble, though, I've... Got some protection on me." She tries her best to sound professional while saying that, straightening up a bit and even putting on a slight lull to the last part.

It probably just comes off as awkward more than anything else, though. She even looks awkward shortly after that, and settles back into her usual relaxed tone. "S-so! Uh. Where to?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer gives a baffled stare at Groot. At least, more so than Rocket. The fact he just keeps repeating the one phrase is just baffling. What's more, he is living tree. Summer is a Goddess who actually created life. While she knows animate plants are in fact a thing, she still hasn't had much opportunity to meet one. a glance is given to the racoon, though. Just when she finally got used to the idea of knowing a dude who is dating a pony, now a racoon is flirting with her and the other girls. A long stare is given at him.

"...He can carry our bags, yes."

She looks at the others, crossing her arms in front of her. She honestly likes all fashion, buuuuut. As she stares at both Sanary and Ainsley.

"...You both desperately need new outfits. We will be hitting up one of my favorite clothing stores first. Hot Topic."

And she starts walking off, leading the way.

Sarracenia has posed:
After returning to her castle and dropping off her airship, Princess Sarracenia decided she would join the other girls who said they would be shopping. After all, who wouldn't want to shop with a princess? So, she arrives a little while after Sanary. The hammer she usually carries is gone, leaving her with just her purse. Her heels make a distinctive clacking sound as she walks elegantly toward the three women, the tree, and the raccoon, raising an eyebrow at the last two.

"Greetings." she says when she reaches them. "I am Princess Sarracenia Sundew, crowned princess of the Sundew Kingdom. I heard information that there would be shopping? I simply love to shop, especially for clothes." the princess says with a smile and a polite curtsey.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley stops talking entirely when Summer provides scrutiny to her outfit. Well, except for a meek and neutral, "Okay."

And she blushes and shuffles up to stand near Summer, awkwardly shuffling her feet and puffing her feathers out like an agitated bird.

Oh god, she doesn't know any of these people. She can't make eye contact with any of them.

Rocket (781) has posed:
Having to walk at double time to keep up doesn't seem to bother Rocket and Groot simply saunters along slowly behind his friend as they follow Summer and her friends. "So, mini skirts are in style, right?" Rocket asks attempting but failing to sound entirely serious as he looks up at the women he is accompanying. "I am Groot?" is intoned by Groot ((You aren't seriously trying that are you?)) Rocket doesn't answer Groot's implication which he hopes is missed by their companions. He then asks Sarracenia, "Pricess, eh? Niccce."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Summer's stare definitely doesn't go unnoticed by Sanary, and she straightens up a bit just to avoid looking too awful with her (actually somewhat decent) posture. "Is... Is it that bad? But I made sure to wash it yesterday and everything." She sounds just a little discouraged by that, although the prospect of getting new clothes from someone that actually knows her stuff /is/ reassuring.

"Well, I'll leave the choices up to you, then, Summer. Ah.. Hey, Sarracenia." And then there's more relief! Spotting the familiar face, she brings her hand up in a quick salute to the approaching princess. As relaxed as she is, though, she's still just a little wary of the three-worded treeman.

"Good to meet you... Uh. Groot. Uh. Do you say anything else or...?" She's not entirely sure how to react to him, still looking and sounding baffled by his manner of speech. "I don't know anything about mini-skirts, so... Gonna have to ask Summer about that one." She strokes her chin lightly, then shrugs and turns to Ainsley with a raised eyebrow. "You.. Uh. You okay over there?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
As Sarracenia arrives, Summer turns. Unlike the others, she doesn't bow. Which is strange, considering that Sarracenia is, in fact, a princess. Instead, Summer just stares for a moment, before introducing herself. "Hello. I am Crowraven Wolfmoon, Rogue of Life, and one of the Gods of Afterus." Yeah, she added a bit more to her introduction. Mainly, she just knows the type. Princesses and Princes who think way too highly of themselves. Might as well let her know right off the bat: There is someone higher ranked than her around, on the nobility spectrum.

But, as Summer leads the way, she notices Ainsley looking out of place. Summer points ahead, towards the sign of Hot Topic. She speaks, rather casually, "And, there is our first stop. Trust me. Every one of you will find something appropriate in there. If not, I know another store as well." After saying that, she slows down a bit, and gets next to Ainsley. And she actually smiles briefly, looking straight at the lizard woman. "...So. Ainsley. I don't really know all that much about you. But I've heard you've been an active ally of the Union. So, tell me about yourself." Yes, Summer is trying to get Ainsley a bit more comfortable.

She glances towards Sanary as well, shaking her head, "No. It's not the hair. It's the outfit. Outdated. Not sleek enough. Looks way too worn out. You need more clothing. And if you like a specific style, get multiple copies of the same outfit so you can wear it every day and they'll all last longer."

As Rocket inquires about miniskirts, she considers a bit. How best to anser. After a moment, she gives one. "Miniskirts are in style. But, when one is in company that view the world at... a different angle, women don't wear them. Also, I could kick a perverted man halfway across the planet. A racoon I could probably kick even further..." She looks contemplative as she says this, actually wondering how far she could really kick him. She's exagerating a bit, but.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
    "U-uh...!"
Ainsley is not comfortable! Especially when she's questioned directly. She looks around at the others, but Rocket's comment makes her face light up with redness. Her feathers puff up even more, indignant at the raccoon's antics. She eventually decides to focus on the question itself, speaking in a mild, shy tone of voice.
"I am from what the Union calls 'Burnt Earth,' a world where a disaster over-polluted the surface with magic. I am a Metahuman, in the wake of the massive mutations that humanity endured, specifically a Quetzal. Though in my case, I am an offshoot due to Multiversal circumstances changing how the mana in my body functions. I am a scholar and an adventurer, though my contributions are somewhat minor and I often find that I run into problems with my own inexperience."
That's... quite bluntly honest. It does help with her shy behavior but she still seems awkward and uneasy explaining it at all.

"My fiance is called Faruja Senra. He tends to get the urge to ignite people who make him angry," she explains to Summer, though this is mostly to discourage further teasing comments from Rocket. "You probably know Faruja. He is quite a cute zealot, very loud on the radio when he uses it. He's also passionate and kind..." Her face lights up, and her awkwardness starts to fade when she thinks about him, her smile becoming quite warm.

"I should stop. I would belabor the point." And gush about him for hours, by the way she was acting.

Sarracenia has posed:
Princess Sarracenia is pleased by all the greetings. Except one. The stare from Summer makes her wonder if something is wrong. "Oh? Self-proclaimed, or appointed?" she asks Summer before she follows along toward Hot Topic, seeming unimpressed by Summer's own titles. Ainsley's reaction to hide makes Sarracenia giggle softly. "Do not be afraid. I do not bite. I leave that to my pirahna plants." she says.

Rocket's question causes and little hmph and a scolding face from Sarracenia, and she changes her posture so that her dress hangs even more closely to the floor. She gives Sanary a little hug around the shoulders as she listens to Ainsley's story, then smiles. "It must be wonderful to have found your hero. He sounds as though he is quite wonderful." she says.

Rocket (781) has posed:
Rocket turns to look at Sanary as he addresses her question to Groot before his friend attempts to explain: "He's saying plenty, just that his vocabulistics are limited to 'I' and 'am' and 'Groot,' exclusively in that order. If you listen well enough you can hear more of his meaning." He even says this with a straight face, so perhaps he's actually serious. Groot nods and says, "I am Groot." ((Rocket, why don't you just start telling people I don't speak properly and leave it at that, they'd be more likely to believe that lie than the truth.)) Then Groot chuckles when Summer calls Rocket on his attempt to debauch but the chuckling ends at Ainsley's comment about her fiance. "I am Groot," ((I tried to warn you about your flirting attempts,)) he says to Rocket even as his friend starts to hem and haw for a moment accompanied with a muttered comment about her being a goddess on top of that. Recovering after a moment he says, "Sorry for the off color suggestion, ladies," in a sincere tone.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"So that's the place, eh..?" Sanary squints slightly at the Hot Topic sign, the confusion becoming even more pronounced in her expression than it was in her voice. "Those are some really weird letters. Looks kinda like that one food place with the... Bad food."

She shakes her head lightly and shivers, apparently recalling something dreadful. She's able to shake it off quickly enough, at least, and the mention of another potential store is somewhat reassuring in case both this and that food place happened to have the same owners. Sarracenia's hug seems to help quite a bit as well, the healer returning it lightly after a moment.

"Makes sense. I was thinking of wearing this other outfit I got recently, but the shorts were so... Short." Sanary nods slowly at the criticism of her clothes, a low hum escaping her after a few long moments before she taps on the top-middle part of her thigh. "That short. I don't know if I could really pull that off, you know?"

Once Summer brings up Rocket's height, Sanary actually starts snickering. She hadn't considered /that/ aspect of mini-skirts, but now? It's stuck in her head. "Well, he's being... Clever about it. Maybe not honest, but." She snickers again before shaking her head, glancing towards Groot just to give him an inquisitive look before focusing on not colliding with people.

"I think I get it. Groot looks like he understands us, at least, so... Hmm. You ever try writing?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer chuckles at Ainsleys words. She's actually used to various kinds of metahumans and nonhumans. She doesn't seem offput by how Ainsley looks at all. Or even her ramblings. She lifts a hand to pat her on the shoulder, and gives her a calming disarming smile. She isn't sure this is something that a metahuman would understand, but if she's been around humans a lot... Still, though, she whispers, "...Don't worry. You're doing fine."

She speaks, still rather calm, "Well, that's nice that you're a scholar. I'm sure you'll build more experience with time, though. I went on a big adventure myself, and I... mostly stumbled through it. Inexperience? Everyone has to deal with that. It's nice you have support, though. A fiance? Congratulations. Good luck on the wedding. ...My romantic prospects are a lot less optimistic. I've been in an... on again off again relationship for ages, and had romantic trouble before that. So... You've got a lot going for you."

A glance at Sarracenia. And a surprise at her hugging on sanarry a little. Couple? Just friends? She makes a note of this for shipping chart. Still, though. A smile appears on Summer's face. "Self-claimed, but not self-proclaimed. Earned. After all... Within my universe, I created Life." she doesn't like people who brag. And generally only brags when someone else does first.

She looks at Rocket, and Groot. Does he... really understand the tree? Still though, the attitude change is noted. A smile, "Don't worry. Most people don't think everything through when they're around a number of beautiful women. Just keep it in line."

As Sanary comments on the short shorts, Summer motions down to her own. Which are cut /really/ high up her legs. They're on her fairly tight. "Short shorts are incredibly popular, and stylish. Though, I wear them some days, and dresseson other days. It all depends on my mood."

She starts leading the way into Hot Topic, and starts going through the racks of terrible Gothic clothing. She ponders, looking around, "...Anyone have any bands they like? This place sells rock T-shirts too. Give me a second, I'm going to find something for each of you." She even looks at both Rocket and Groot as she says this.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
"W-well... He's not my fiance yet," Ainsley admits to Summer after the shoulder pat and kind words, "But he will be, if I have anything to say about it. Not even his Church's rules will stop that." That glimmer in her eyes, as if this were the thing she were the most confident about in all of existence. It's possible because Summer reminds her of the fact that she has support and that inexperience is something most, if not all, people deal with.

Rocket's apology is accepted graciously, with a nod and a warm smile, her tail even doing a subtle curl.

The others are given more bright and curious looks now that she's not nervous just to be in public. Sarracenia receives a correction, "I have saved Faruja more than the other way around. I'm his heroine, if we are going to use that word at all."

Once they've found the goth clothing, the lizard woman picks through it cluelessly. "Hmm..." she sounds out, not really approving of dark and dreary clothing choices in general. She stops when she finds a black shirt just covered in thorny flower patterns, and brightens at similar accessories found nearby. "These are ... not nearly as modest as what I'm used to wearing," she admits to Summer, "I don't have a figure to show off like some of these are designed for. And... my tail." She peeks back at it. "I would need to adjust anything I buy, if we don't find something made for people with tails."

Rocket (781) has posed:
Sanary's question causes Rocket to stop in place so quickly that Groot actually steps over him. "Nobody ever actually suggested that and I never needed to worry about it after all," he says.

Groot says, "I am Groot." ((Make sure they take into account the fact I change sizes, Rocket.)) However, Rocket is distracted and doesn't hear the other comments. "Hey Groot, just saw a large bounty walk by!" Then to the woman, "Sorry ladies, we have to get moving!"

As Rocket departs and he moves to follow Groot bows to the goddess and princess as he says, "I am Groot." ((I apologize that I will be unable to help carry your purchases.))

Sarracenia has posed:
Even Sarracenia has to admit that creating Life is impressive. And, it does have the effect that Summer was likely going for. Sarracenia is quiet for a minute or two. Since she is already happy with her current fashion, she doesn't really shop. She browses, but she is only looking for things that might catch her eye. "Hmm...you are his heroine?" she asks, finding the concept a bit strange but intriguing. People have suggested that to her before. That she should be a heroine rather than looking for a hero. But...that just isn't how it is done in Mario land! Well, there was that one time, but other than that...!

As Sanary talks about styles she could pull off, Sarracenia smiles. "A lovely young woman like yourself would have no problem pulling off that style." she advices as she pulls a set of short shorts off a rack and holds them up to Sanary.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Familiar name... Faruja. He's the big rat guy, right? I think I worked with him once. Decent guy. A little... Hmm." Sanary shrugs lightly, not thinking too hard about what the word she's looking for is. She does turn to give Ainsley a reassuring grin, at least, although her hand does return to her face brush at her nose briefly. Stupid allergies.

"I guess I should try wearing those outside one day. But... So short." Waving to Rocket and Groot as they make a hasty escape, it takes Sanary a moment to adjust to the darkness of the place, squinting slightly at all the squares along the higher parts of the walls. She's not completely reassured by Summer's own incredibly short shorts, but if she can be comfortable walking outside in those? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to wear them next time.

Then again, Summer /is/ supposed to be some sort of deity, and... Hell, what would even be her frame of reference for what would look good on herself, anyway? Sarracenia definitely seems more confident about the healer's body than SAnary herself, and she bites her lip while staring at the offered tiny pants.

"Uh... Are you sure? Th... This looks even shorter than the ones I got." She clears her throat awkwardly, looking just a little flustered at the mere thought of wearing that. "Haven't really listened to music yet, so bands are... I dunno. Mm. Guess I should try sooner or later, huh?"

The lack of modesty in some of the outfits does become rather apparent to Sanary, and she even starts snickering in mild confusion as she nudges one of the nightgowns on sale. "This... Doesn't get worn outside, right?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer chuckles a bit. She recalls Faruja's talks on radio. And she recalls him getting /really pissed/ over stupid religious matters. She can't see the appeal in that, at all. Maybe he's at least passionate? But. "...Well. Good luck on getting him hooked to you. I'm sure you'll manage eventually." She doesn't note that she thinks Ainsley might be yandere. Because that would be /rude/.

Going through the clothes, she looks a bit at what Ainsley is picking out, casually, "...I think it'd look good on you. I admit, I'm not into more reptilian creatures myself, but. A lot of the same rules apply to most species. Show a bit more skin. Worse case, you could alway wear this while you're alone with your fiance. And... tail adjustments are usually pretty easy." Summer continues to go through some of the clothes, a puzzled look on her face. She's looking for just the right accessories. AH! And she finds it. A headband of with flowers on it. She promptly places it on Ainsley's head.

She gives a bit of a nod to Rocket and Groot as they leave... Bounty? Ah. They're probably Syndicate. She makes a note.

Summer looks at Sarracenia. And Sanary. Huh. There is fairly definitely some romantic attachment there, isn't there? She makes a note of this as well. For her chart.

The bit of Sanary not being comfortable wearing more revealing clothing? Well. Summer has a bit of a wicked side. As such, she starts looking a bit /more/. And. She fines something. A sort of Kimono-looking black top. With it, she grabs a really short pair of shorts, and a top that is basically swimwear. Only not. She grabs them in a pile, hands them to Sanary, and points at a fitting room.

"These are all clothes you'd wear in public. Go, try them on. I'm good at spotting sizes, they should fit you /perfectly/. They'll look cute on you."

She grabs some more, and then gives a similar clump of clothes to Sarracenia. The main difference? Sarracenia gets a miniskirt instead, and a slightly different pattern on the kimono. Because, princess. "You too! Try these on, they'll look great!"

Yes she wants to dress them up cute, because couple.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia blinks as she is given the clothes by Summer. She looks them over, then blushes a bit herself for once. "I..I cannot wear such clothing! It is unbecoming of a princess!" she says, holding the clothing at armslength. "You cannot expect a princess to wear such clothing!" Seems Sarracenia does not mind picking out clothes for others, but does not respond as well when she is given the same clothing.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
There's a bit of a confused grunt from Sanary as Summer hands her the pile of clothes, marvelling at how light the pile feels. "Is this the whole outfit? It feels really light. You're sure this isn't like that thing before?" Even though she hasn't actually looked at the outfit properly yet, something just feels off about the whole thing. Then again, there /have/ been other people wearing what looked like just glorified underwear in public. And since they didn't look too terrible...

"Er.. W-well, if you're sure." Giving herself up to fate, the healer lets out a long sigh before heading to one of the changing rooms. It doesn't take her very long to actually change into the new outfit, although she's clearly quite hesitant to leave the room once she does. It probably doesn't help that she's not used to changing rooms in general, but she does (finally) step out once a passing employee reassures her that her own clothes won't get stolen from the room.

"So! Uh. Am I wearing this right?" Emerging from the room, Sanary doesn't move very far from the door while tugging the kimono-like top a little more closed. Both the shorts and the inner top do fit her surprisingly well, although it is quite apparent now that she had been wearing chest bindings earlier with the inner top jutting somewhat even with the kimono top held shut over it.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley looks over the clothing that they find throughout, and finds a skirt matching the shirts and the accessories from before. She creases her brow skeptically, looking up at the flower crown that Summer had placed on her head. "Okay," she again says, shyly, but now she's smiling over toward Summer brightly. She scurries off to the changing rooms to try on the clothing she had picked out.

When she emerges -- not without some cursing as she tries to find a way to keep her rear end from showing thanks to her tail -- she is wearing a shirt that shows off a bit of her tummy, and her arms, her head and her tail are covered in those flower accessories. The skirt is, mercifully, down to her knees, and she's found a pair of sandals to match that her feet can fit into. She keeps playing with the skirt's waistband, fussing with it so it doesn't fall off of her.

"It's... ah... I think this is nice for casual clothing," she admits, looking down at herself while she says it.

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer smiles at Sanary, rather casually. "Oh, don't worry, it's supposed to be that light. It makes it more comfortable to wear and manuever in. Trust me. And it will look /great/ on you. You can believe me on that."

As Sanary goes off to change, Summer sighs at Sarracenia. Motioning to the stall, "Oh, she's trying it on, though! And you two seem to get along so well. I would have figured you'd have similar clothing tastes. But... If you /really/ can't wear it..." She starts browsing through the dresses. Finally, she finds one that catches her eye. Mostly due to the tag. She hands /it/ to Sarracenia, "Here. It even says 'Royal' right on the tag of this one!"

And, she hands it to Sarracenia. It's a dress, alright. But it is in fact covered in a skull print.

As Sanary and Ainsley come out? She whistles at both of them. Honestly, she thinks the look looks great on both. Her arms cross, and she walks over to the two of them, circling them, looking them over. She does do /one/ minor correction to Sanary's outfit. Which is to try and open the Kimono more. "You're supposed to just let it hang loose. Nice, casual look. Shows off your abs a bit. Trust me, /very/ fashionable."

She looks over Ainsley's outfit, and smiles. "Your fiance will love it, I'm sure. It'll need some modification, but... Yeah. It looks great on you. ...I'll buy these outfits for both of you. Yeah, the clothes today? All on me."

She starts rummaging through the clothing a bit more. A thought crossing her head.

She needs to get Arthur some stuff too.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley happily wiggles her tail, accepting the judgment that Faruja will like it, and then shining like a star of happiness when Summer offers to buy it for her. "O-okay!" she replies, then she goes to get changed back, and gets a couple of skirts and shirts of similar design, grabbing up only a reasonable amount of it so she doesn't take advantage of the generosity too much.

"Faruja is going to be so happy to see these," she excitedly murmurs.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia blinks again at the new offered garment. "...it may keep me decent, but this design is dreadful." she says. She sighs. "I would rather wear the first one." she says, then she hands both back to Summer. "I am sorry, but neither of these garments are worthy of my royal body." she says. Just as proudly and arrogantly as Summer likely expected. "If they have something that will both cover me and look flattering on me, then I will try it on." she says.

However, upon seeing the other two, she smiles. "Oh! You two look lovely! You simply must keep those." the princess says.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary freezes up at the whistling, trying not to move her arms or legs too much as Summer approaches herself and Ainsley. "A-are you sure I shouldn't switch the shorts for that skirt she has? I mean..."

As confident as she is on the battlefield or dealing with a bleeding person (or both), the healer isn't anywhere near her element in a place like this. She blushes even more when Summer opens up the kimono top, fighting the urge to close it back up again after being given explicit directions not to.

"C-casual. Right. Just gotta... Look casual." She takes a deep breath while trying to relax her posture as much as possible, although that's not really saying much when she's still standing around stiffly. But if Ainsley can do it, then so can she! Maybe.

Eventually. "Are you sure? Er... How expensive is this stuff, anyway?" Summer's offer to pay for the clothes helps distract Sanary from her exposure momentarily, at least, keeping her from tensing up as much as she had been earlier. It's even helping her show off that RUGGED MIDSECTION a little more with the top actually being open!

At least until Sarracenia comments on Ainsley's and her own new outfits. "R-really? But you're not wearing the stuff. That's just not fair." The compliments are starting to work, though, and she even goes as far as doing a few practice swings with a non-existent axe just to test her range of motion. "Guess if it is good... Should show these to the others later."

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer smiles, looking at Ainsley. "I'm sure he will." There is something she /doesn't/ say though. If he is super religious, he /might/ find this /too/ immodest. But, hey. Getting a guy to loosen up a bit is a /good/ thing, especially with... how uptight Faruja has sounded on the radio.

Summer sighs a bit, looking at Sarracenia. Summer sets the discarded clothing to the side, and shakes her head a bit. "...Really, your friend there looks good in them. I'm sure you would too. Are you just being self concious? ...I think it'd be /cute/ if you two dressed alike." This is the first real hint that Summer thinks the two are a couple. She continues, though, grabbing another dress, "Well, how about /this/ one?" She holds it up. It's a bit more elegant looking, less terrible of a pattern. Summer's last ditch effort to get everyone walking out of here all Goth.

To Sanary, Summer just smiles, "Don't worry. I can afford it. I've been saving up money for years. Besides, it looks good on you! We can even have you wear it out of here as we leave. Wouldn't that be nice?"

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia sighs softly at Summer's words. "It would be cute to dress alike, I suppose. But, you obviously do not understand how harshly the worlds can judge a princess." she says before she takes the last dress and looks it over. "This dress should suffice." she says, then she heads to the dressing room.

Sanary objects as well, though, and Sarracenia feels the pressure. But, she is a stubborn princess, so she just goes to change into the elegant dress with the less terrible pattern on it.

It takes her a few minutes to change, but once she has she steps out, her legs a little more exposed than usual. "So, how does it look?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Heh. Does look nice on ya. Almost want to see how he'd react when you show that to him." There's a mischievous grin on Sanary's face as she tries to reassure Ainsley, although... Just what standards do lizard women and rat men use for gauging physical appeal? Just another one of many of the Multiverse's mysteries that would have to go unanswered for now.

Summer's hint goes right over Sanary's head, although she does manage a bashful laugh at the implication of being complimented again. So what if being considered 'cute' is still foreign to her? It's still a nice gesture. Once Sarracenia comes out in that last dress, the healer hums softly before holding her thumbs out and upwards in approval!

"There you go. Does show off the legs real nicely. Hmm... What if you added those really high socks to it, too? Although that might be uncomfortable..." She laughs softly at the notion of matching, nodding a few moments later. "Matching like this is pretty interesting, yeah. We could show up at Lute's place and see what him and Harp think. Oh! And Yari, too."

Despite her initial shyness about the whole situation, the healer has loosened up considerably! She's still a little flustered, of course, but at least not cripplingly so while returning the smile to Summer. "If you're sure, then. Thanks, Summer. You gonna get anything for yourself while you're here? If we're all gonna look good heading out, why not... This?" Grabbing the first thing she sees, Sanary holds it out to Summer before immediately regretting it.

     Why? It's a bustier.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley nods at Summer a couple of times. "He will. I could wear whatever I want around him, as long as I do it for him," she tells Summer, apparently confident enough about that. "He's a zealot, sure, but..." She tilts her head while she looks over the flowery black skirt. "He's a good man under all of his bluster, and he does good, even Psyber thinks so. He just needs someone to help him focus away from the religious problems, I think."
She smiles lightly, in that sinister way that TRUE love appears to be. It'd require a power drill equivilant of an argument to get through that.
Sarracenia gets some clapping from Ainsley, a little golf clap, delighting in the courage to try something new!

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
While Sarracenia is changing, Summer brings the matching clothing that Sarracenia rejected over to the counter. She whispers to the cashier, "Bag these up. I wanna buy them for that girl, but don't want her to know." She scoots back over towards Sanary, whispering to her real fast. "Give her the matching outfit some time later. I bet if you two are alone, you could convince her to wear it, and then get her used to it over time. Just remember, not all princesses wear fancy dresses in the Multiverse. That can be a key to getting her in it." Yes, Summer has a devilish side.

Summer also does make note of Yari, Harp, and Lute being mentioned. Because this reveals another piece of the puzzle. But, quite simply on principal? She refuses to dignify Lute by putting him on the chart. But as the otufit is picked out for /Summer/, she just stares blankly at it for a second.

"...No I am not going to try on sexy lingerie, and then wear it in public. I wouldn't buy that here /anyways/. And I'm already in clothing from this store."

She smiles at Ainsley, "Well. Sometimes men are /incredibly dense/. So yes. Don't worry about trying to get him away from the religious stuff too much. I might have to meet him sometime. ...Though he /miiight/ take offense to me being an actual living God. So. Maybe not the best idea."

With Sarracenia out of the fitting room, Summer smiles. She thinks of hte best compliment she can give: "You look very royal, and very much like a princess. It suits you well." And with that, Summer moves to start paying for all the clothing.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia looks herself over in the mirror. "Hmm. Yes, this will be acceptable." she says, then carefully folds up the dress she came here in and slips it into her purse. Which...doesn't look like it should hold such a garment, but it does. And seemingly easily. She then finds a set of long black silk gloves to help complete the outfit. A princess can't show -too- much skin, after all, and the long gloves add an even more elegant look. "Add these gloves to her bill." she says to the cashier as they start to collect near the exit.

Sanary's selection for Summer causes Sarracenia to giggle. "Why not? It is no more revealing than the outfit you attempted to put me in." she says, smirking lightly.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary's face is burning red as she hastily shoves that bustier back into the rack, nearly knocking the whole thing over the process. She doesn't, at least! But it's definitely an embarrassing moment for her, and she retreats back into the changing room briefly to get her original clothes back from the room.

It's not until she's back out that Summer's suggestion to offer those clothes to Sarracenia privately actually registers in her head as something of an oddity. Scooting over to the... What was her title? God of life? Something like that. "I-I'll try, but... What difference would being alone with her make?" She murmurs quietly to Summer with a puzzled look on her face, still trying to comprehend the meaning behind that suggestion. "Probably would look good on her, but if you couldn't convince her..."

What a mysterious lady. Blinking as Sarracenia re-emerges, the healer steps back to try and avoid drawing suspicion to herself and Summer, a relaxed laugh escaping her moments later. "Yeah, that first one was... Uh. That was pretty revealing, wasn't it? Maybe Ainsley could even try that to see how Faruja reacts. Just llike the one I'm..."

Sanary trails off, getting flustered yet again. She'll get over it sooner or later.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
"Meet him anyways. He needs to learn to be more patient and open-minded about other worlds. If he doesn't, he risks letting his own fire burn him up," Ainsley tells Summer, with a little shrug of her shoulders. Once Summer starts paying for all of the clothing, the lizard woman pulls a smartphone out of her pocket to check the time, and then stuffs it back in there after a second.

"Thank you for this," she says, "I have to go. I'll let you know what Faruja thinks of these!"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer gives a glance towards Sarracenia. A subtle frown is upon her face. Summer is, overall, fairly comfortable with herself. But, strutting around in lingerie would be innappropriate. And knowing how some royalty likes to act... This might be a subtle slight against Summer.

"Well. It is, currently, not warm enough for me to wear beachwear. Or perhaps I might wear something along those lines. It's all a matter of what is appropriate. Though, that has a bit too little fabric in just the right places. So. No."

She tries to whisper to Sanary again, while Sarracenia is still around. Her lips, turned away from Sarracenia. All she says is simple phrase: "You can do it." She's trying to encourage this young love. Which likely is not actually in existence.

She nods to Ainsley, and bows in to bid her farewell. Smiling, she looks at Ainsley, "Well. Perhaps you'll be there when I meet him. If you think it is good for him, it probably is. And may the rest of the day serve you well."

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia seems to find it satisfying when Summer explains why she can't wear that garment. It is the same reason Sarracenia would not wear the other garment! "Well, no matter. Are we finished with this store?" she says as she walks toward Summer and Sanary, attempting to overhear what is being said. She waves to Ainsley as the lizard girl departs.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
More confusion! Still, Sanary does manage a slow nod in response to the quiet encouragement. Why Summer's recommending this, she has no idea. But if she's that determined to have the healer do it of all people, then... Well, it probably wouldn't hurt to try, at least.

Of course, the implications still go right over her head. "Take care, Ainsley! Beachwear's... Hmm. Why don't people get as hung up over that as this stuff, anyway?" Furrowing her brow, she does seem to have gotten over the awkwardness (again) while puzzling over this difference in thinking. She still manages to give Ainsley a quick wave before she leaves, although her attention is elsewhere even while she turns back to her remaining two companions in the store.

"Yeah, I'm good. Gonna wear this out and... Hrm. Swimsuits are just fancy swimming underwear, aren't they? But why..."

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer nods at Sarracenia, "Yes. We're done with this store. ...Would you like to pick the next one? Or perhaps you'd like to pass that choice over to Sanary?" Honestly, she doubts Sarracenia will let Sanary have the next choice. And normally, Summer would pick one of her own choices instead. But, at the moment, Summer is left alone with two girls who she thinks might be a couple. Even if her assumptions are entirely mislead. It feels like she is intruding on a date. So, might as well let one of them pick.

She turns to Sanary, shrugging, "It's a number of factors. At the beach, less clothing allows you to feel more of the water. It's also more socially acceptable because people are expected to wear swimsuits at the beach. There used to be full body ones. But, wearing a swimsuit out in public /does/, in fact, raise some eyebrows. So, yes. Still best to keep them to the beach."

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia considers a few moments. "I do not know this mall well, so perhaps Sanary might be a better choice." she says, then smiles. "Also, I think there is a connotaton among men that a woman in lingerie is ready for...um..." She blushes just a bit and giggles. "..nightly activities." she adds to their conversation.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"I guess that... Kinda makes sense. Although if that's the case, then that's just gonna make me wonder who got the bright idea to start wearing swimsuits in the first place." Humming to herself again, Sanary doesn't even notice herself leading the way out of the store and into the mall proper. It's not until Sarracenia actually recommends that she take the lead that the healer's mind is snapped back to attention.

"Huh? Oh. Er. How about... That one? The one that looks like it might have guy's lingerie." She points at a store with several prominent posters of shirtless men, snickering quietly to herself despite staring at the posters a little bit too much.

"Even though they're not really wearing anything... Hrm. What /is/ guy's lingerie, anyway?" Instead of walking towards that store, she's busy turning back to Summer and Sarracenia once again in her quest to figure out the true mysteries of life!

Like hell she's going to be the first one walking into that place.

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer actually is surprised that Sarracenia relented, and let someone else pick. Yeah. She is beginning to think she might have judged to harshly. She thinks a bit. Perhaps there are still some biases she hasn't gotten over, even after all of her years? The 'jock versus nerd' thing is still engrained in her head, and she assumed that this Princess would be a bit more cheerleadery. But... They might have more in common than she thought.

And then Sanary suggests an underwear store for men. And Summer just stares. Blankly.

"...First off, I'm not particularly interested in going to an underwear store, even for women's lingerie. Second, I'm not even dating anyone right now, male or female, so picking out men's underwear for /anyone/ would be creepy. Third, there is this /really/ cool dress shop I saw when checking out the mall's directory. Let's go there."

Honestly, Summer just knows: There are /far too many antics/ that could happen while shopping for underwear. She is genre savvy enough to avoid this situation.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia giggles at Summer's reaction to Sanary's suggestion. "Another dress store will be fine. But, after that, I would like to visit a costume store. I like to see what cute costumes they have, and sometimes I increase my collection." she says as she follows Summer.

Summer's judgement of Sarracenia is only slightly flawed. She is vain and proud and picky and proud and...was proud mentioned? But, she is nice for the most part.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Instead of that awkward blushing reaction Sanary had with the lingerie suggestion in the store, she's instead just snickering uncontrollably at the reaction to the men's lingerie store. It takes her a while just calm herself down enough to actually respond to Summer's suggestion with a choked out "okay", and it takes yet more long breaths to finally stop doubling over.

"Aah... Y-yeah, a dress shop sounds... Yeah. What do you two usually look for in dresses, anyway? Or..." She pauses, raising an eyebrow at Sarracenia. "Costumes? You mean like a... Disguise or something?"

That's definitely drawn her attention substantially. "I got this cop uniform from Chick-a-go a while back if you need one for whatever. Or... Is this for sometihng else?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer listens as Sarracenia mentions a costume store. Sanary being confused at it helps her become more determined. Yes. That would be a better option. She smiles softly at Sarracenia, nodding a little, "Well. I might actually suggest a costume store first, then. There is one nearby as well, and I admit, I don't have many actual costumes. Simply Gothic clothing, and dresses."

She starts leading the way, and glances back to Sanary. She has... not heard of Chick-a-go, buuuut. A question comes to her head.

"...Is it made of latex? ...If so, well. I will explain to you while we are /not/ in public. Or perhaps Sarracenia could."

She keeps heading forward, leading the way to the costume store. Which, of course, has a vast selection of costumes!

Sarracenia has posed:
"Oh, a cop uniform?" Sarracenia asks, then hmms. "I do not need it for anything. I simply like to dress up in cute costumes." she says, smiling, as if that is a perfectly normal thing to do. The talk of latex costumes makes her blink in confusion. "Hmm? Why would I know about latex?" she asks.

Once inside the costume shop, Sarracenia seems like a kid in a candy store. Nurse outfits, animal outfits, bike racer outfits, she seems to find most of them cute. But, again, she stays away from the more risque of the outfits. She apparently takes her appearance seriously, as well as her reputation as a princess. "Why would someone wear a latex outfit? It would be terribly tight and uncomfortable, I would think."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
A costume store, then! Whichever the choice is, Sanary's definitely eager to follow along with two people that know significantly more about fashion than she ever would.

"Uh? No... Maybe? I don't know what latex is. Is that a common thing around here, too?" Oh, what an innocent mind. It doesn't seem to bother her too much, at least, as she simply follows Summer and Sarracenia while still trying to recall more specific details about the outfit. "I think it's made of wool or something. Reaches to the knees..."

Stepping into the costume shop, Sanary recoils briefly before squinting at the racks and lines of assorted costumes. "Some of these look... Familiar. Aren't some of these just uniforms?"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer gives a baffled look at both Sanary and Sarracenia. These two... Are they... are they both really this sheltered? She wants to clarify for them both, so they don't get confused later. Or end up in a bad situation. As she stares at them for a second, she can only think of one thing to say.

"...Look it up online later. I'm not explaining the deal with latex. At least, doesn't sound like the costume you bought has to do with that. Thankfully."

Summer, for her part, is picking through the costumes with more regards to style. She could care less about risque, or wearing something cute. She cares a lot about style. She picks a few out to try on. A pirate outfit, a nurse outfit, an ancient egyptian costume, a fairy outfit. All sorts of different things.

She sighs a bit, though. "...Why are so many of these costumes so... Well. Not built for my figure, let's say." Without saying too much about it, Summer just looks down at her body. Which is petite and lean. She could very easily pass for a guy, if not for her blonde hair.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia really is that sheltered. "Many uniforms make for cute dress-up if done correctly." Sarracenia says to Sanary as the browse. It just so happens that style and cute often overlap, so several of the ones Summer is inspecting are also of interest to Sarracenia. "Oooh! A fairy costume! That will be cute!" she says, plucking one from the rack.

In answer to Summer's question, Sarracenia giggles softly. "Well...not to be too insensitive, dear, but most girls have a slightly more...mature look." she says, then twirls gently to display her own form. "But, many outfits are quite easy to take in so they will fit a more petite figure such as yourself. I could have some of my seamstresses made available if you would like to try some of these outfits."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Online? But why... Uh. Okay." Although it does seem a little odd to not get a direct answer, it doesn't linger in Sanary's mind for too long as her attention is grabbed by the more prominent things to focus on: Costumes! Uniforms! Weirdly tiny uniforms! Who would wear such things, anyway?

Probably something to look up online, too. Picking through the uniforms themselves is proving to be somewhat difficult, especially since she's not familiar with what some of these things even are. The nurse uniform is easier to understand (and something to hold onto), and even the schoolgirl costume is familiar enough after having seen it on a few other people. But the pirate costume? The fairy? That's just a weird pile of fabric to her.

"If it makes you feel any better, Summer? These don't really look like they'd fit me all that well, either." She laughs lightly to try and reassure her, although she does slump juuust a bit when Sarracenia shows off her figure. The healer herself is on the shorter side, and all that exercise over the years has had some impact on her own curves, sadly enough. At least the hips and legs are definitely there!

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer is a bit surprised that Sarraceania is bragging about her body. Is it bragging? She's like almost certain it is. Still, though. Sarracenia is at least offering help with sewing. Which... Is appreciated, but....

"...Thanks for the offer, but I can actually make the modifications myself. My mom made dresses, and I picked up some of her talent. ...Besides. If I wanna wear /anything/ feminine, it needs modifications to fit my body."

She turns to Sanary, though, smiling, "Well. You're still better off than me. But, honestly, I'm fairly happy wtih my body. Just, makes clothes shopping a /bit/ harder sometimes."

As she looks around, she finds two that are... actually somewhat interesting. Buuut, instead of taking them for herself? She hands them straight to Sanary and Sarracenia. A pair of mermaid costumes that cover most of the body.

"Try these on! I think you'd both look good in them."

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia may be sheltered, but she also knows she is a beauty, and isn't afraid to brag about it. The decline from Summer doesn't seem to phase her. She just shrugs and continues looking. Then...mermaid outfits! "Oooh! These are so cute, yet so pretty at the same time!" the princess squeals happily as she takes the outfit and practically rushes toward a dressing room. "A beauty of the sea that is able to hypnotize men? That sounds like me!" she can be heard saying as she disappears inside the fitting room.

She emerges after a minute and struts toward Summer and Sanary. "I look ravishing in this, do I not?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Really? Huh... Well, still. Clothes are hard. Why do you think I've been wearing that coat all this time?" Laughing easily again, Sanary switches the coat in question to her other shoulder while digging through more of the costumes. A floppy owl head? Sure, why not.

"You ever learn to do repairs on clothes? Probably not as hard as modifying 'em, but still really useful to know. Could show you two if you ever feel like it."

Taking one of the costumes from Summer with a quirked eyebrow, Sanary eyes the mermaid costume slowly while turning it over in her hand a few times. "You sure? Looks kinda... Fishy."

Then she starts looking between the two hopefully, trying to gauge their reactions. Even she realizes how terrible that was, though, and she'll follow it up by just retreating into a changing room to get the costume on. She's back out significantly faster than she was with the gothy outfit, but looking significantly more tired while trying to keep herself from tipping over with one leg in front of the other inside that tiny space.

"This thing feels... So /weird/. Is there one with the fish part on top instead? M-might not be so bad on the knees. Or my ass." She wobbles slightly upon hearing Sarracenia come back out, blinking slowly at her before holding her thumb up in approval.

"Definitely looks a lot more natural on you than me. Y-you should try this, Summer. It's-OW." And then she falls over. Stupid tail.

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer gives an approving nod to both Sarracenia and Sanary as they come out. She, of course, completely glosses over the terrible pun. She does not want to make Sanary feel bad for it, after all. But, again, as they come out? She can't help but think again. Yes. These two are a perfect couple. Even as she winces watching Sanary fall, she realizes that the two contrast eachother in a great way.

But, she is challenged to wear one as well. And she'll rise to it. She grabs another one of those costumes from the rack, smiling. "...Very well. I'll try it on as well. The mermaid look is not normally one i would wear, but..."

It takes her only a short bit to change. She comes out, wearing a pink mermaid tail and matching corset top.

She's also cheating and floating off the ground. Because she can casually fly. She positions herself with her knees bent and lifted in front of her, almost as if she were sitting on the ground. Her tail bent smoothly. Yeah, it all looks like a natural mermaid floating right in the sky.

     "...So. How do I look?"

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia giggles in that 'that was terrible' way when Sanary makes that joke. And, when Sanary trips, Sarracenia is there to catch her. She has much more experience in dresses, after all, even tight ones like this. And she is a strong woman, so catching the fairly petite young woman is easy enough even in this restrictive garment. "Careful!" she says, smiling to Sanary.

When Summer emerges, Sarracenia smiles delightedly. "Now are are three beautiful mermaids, ready to rule the seas!" she says happily, pulling both into a little hug.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Grunting lightly as she's caught by Sarracenia, Sanary's still trying to catch herself for a few moments before noticing that she hasn't hit the ground yet. "H-huh? Oh. Thanks. Maaaybe this one's not really meant for me." Even with as clumsy as she is in this oddly shaped fish-tail dress, the healer's having fun with the whole thing. "If only they had the reverse costume..."

By the time Summer returns, she's fully back on her feet. She's still liable to fall down again if she tries to move around much more, though that won't stop her from giving Summer a thumb up in approval!

"Huh... That looks great on you, too. You two've been doing this costume thing way longer than I have, huh?" She grunts lightly at the hug, eventually chuckling and settling into it with her own arms getting into the hugging.

And also to keep herself from falling over again. "I don't know about ruling the sea, but... Definitely ready to practice maneuvers out there again~"

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer is actually surprised at a couple of things again. Sarracenia, catching Sanary, first off That.. That's actually a bit of a surprise. But, it helps confirm that yes, they're probably a couple. They know eachother fairly well. The second surprise? The hug. As she's pulled into the hug, she returns it, hugging both of them. But, this puzzles her, juuuust a bit. She isn't super actively looking for a relationship, let alone something... super complex. And she is now under the assumption that Sarracenia is hitting on her.

There is an awkward pause, and an actual blush from Summer, during the hug. She's just quiet for a moment, before backing up a little after the hug. But. She ponders. thinking on it. Over the years, she has realized: Sometimes there are /really bad misunderstandings/ that should be cleared up by direct ansers.

And so, she turns to Sarracenia. She looks at her, and casualy speaks.

"...So. Are you flirting with me, or are you just really huggy?"

Yes she can be overly blunt.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia blinks at Summer's question, then laughs, blushing just a bit. "Why? Do you wish me to be flirting with you?" she asks teasingly, then smiles. "I suppose I am simply overenthusiastic sometimes. But, I suppose a goddess would be worthy of a princess." she says, probably taking the question quite a bit better than Summer expected.

Sarracenia releases the hug, then giggles again. "Perhaps it has been too long since I simply went out and enjoyed myself among frie-..." She pauses, then looks down slightly, suddenly a bit more melancholy. "...friendly aquaitances..." She isn't sure that the three of them count as friends, and the sudden realization that she has so few is sobering to the princess.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
How peculiar. Summer's blushing from a hug of all things? There's a slight glint in Sanary's eye (on top of the glint that's already normally there) as she glances between Sarracenia and Summer, the gears in her head starting to turn. Summer /did/ seem a little too fond of suggesting that she try and get the Princess into the matching outfit. And the skimpy dress.

Curious, indeed. Her question, interesting as it is, only helps to confirm Sanary's suspicions. Although she's expecting a confirmation of the latter, perhaps it wouldn't be entirely unexpected if she actually responded with the former. It had been a while since the Princess started dating Lute, after all, and for all the healer knew, maybe Sarracenia had changed a great deal since then.

" 'Friendly acquaintances' sounds too long. Friends is easier." Noticing that down look, Sanary shuffles over carefully to give Sarracenia a light pat on the shoulder before glancing between her two companions again with a mischievous grin. "Or... Well, I won't mind if you two /are/ planning on a date or something. Just give me the word and I'll clear outta here."

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
This answer actually takes Summer completely by surprise. She had gone through most of this with an assumption that Sanary and Sarracenia are a couple. And this changes things a fair amount. She still spots a certain spark between them, but especially as Sarracenia stops herself from referring to them as friends? She has two possibilities in her mind. Sanary has feelings for Sarracenia that are unreciprocated, or it's a polyamorous relationship.

And Summer is wondering /how the hell/ she keeps ending up in these messes. Seriously. She /died/ due to a bizarre love triangle (...possibly quadrangle, pentangle, or possibly some higher n-angle).

Perhaps even more terrifying was the hint that Lute was their friend. Because oh dear god she does not want to end up in a love n-angle that involves Lute.

She blushes a bit, though otherwise she holds her composure fairly well "...For now, just friends. I'm not actively looking for romance, though if it falls into my path, I'll accept it. I've sort of been in a... long term on-again-off-again relationship with someone though it's currently in the 'off' state, leaving me open and possibly ending that relationship for good. But..."

She sighs. "Well. If it happens, it happens, but not actively seeking. I mean... Not that I'd be /against/ it, but. Just. Not yet, I guess?"

She's trying to remain calm, but this is obviously pretty awkward.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia seems a bit happier when her two companions say they are all friends. Sarracenia smiles gently to both. "I am seeking a relationship, but I am looking for a hero...or heroine...who is devoted to me." she says, then considers. "I suppose I should keep you in mind. You did say you were the creator of Life in your world. I cannot imagine such a creature being evil."

She then stretches her arms over her head and mmms. "I should return to my kingdom. Thank you both for accompanying me on this little shopping trip, and thank you Crowraven for purchasing these items for me."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary keeps glancing between the two with the same grin plastered on her face, covering her mouth briefly to hide a snicker. Oh, the gears are definitely turning now...

"Mm... Fair enough. Still, though. Princess, goddess. Could definitely do a lot worse, hero or no." Sarracenia's words only help cement that even further in the healer's mind. But just how can she get those two together somehow? FIguring that out will have to wait for another time.

"Yeah, I should probably get back to my place soon, too. Another day, more classes and shifts in medical." Covering her mouth as she yawns quietly (is she actually learning?), she takes a moment to hug both Summer and Sarracenia tightly. "Thanks, both of you. I needed this break /really/ bad."

Summer Powers (441) has posed:
Summer pauses a bit. She is tempted to note that the each player of the game she was in, Sburb, could be consider 'heroes' within the game terms. She was the Rogue of Life, but 'Hero of Life' is an acceptable term as well, somewhat.

Instead she realizes this would just escalate things /far quicker/. The 'devoted to me' thing... Well. That helps clear it up though. She just wants one person, most likely.

She returns the hug to Sanary, and then smiles at both of them. She /does/ entirely realize what Sanary is trying to do, and gives her a knowing annoyed glance. This lasts just for a brief time. She can't be too mad at Sanary. Summer does the same shipping thing herself.

"...Well. We can do this again sometime at least. I don't get to hang out with friends often, with the whole 'Godhood' thing, but. It's nice to be able to make new friends as well."

She'll actually likely be the last one to leave, and let the others leave first.

Mostly because she has to find if this place giftwraps stuff so she can give Arthur a spontaneous gift.
