Rollin' and Scratchin'
Date of Scene: 16 June 2015
Location: Galianda
Synopsis: Kyra invites her friends (and then some) to come to her musical club gig in Ramuh. Religious fanatics, unfortunately, completely ruin the experience.
Cast of Characters: Arthur Lowell, 385, 411, Riva Banari, 626, 652, 655, 666, Lyria Mason, Sanary Rondel, 792, 805

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Deep within the streets of Sector Twelve where what little sunlight Ramuh has never reaches is -A D V E N T-. A club trending towards the upper end of popularity, it isn't the kind of place where one has to be on The List to get in but it would kind of help with the entrance fee. There IS an entrance fee to get in, by the way, which seems to be just high enough to tell the riff-raff to go elsewhere. Friends of DJ deadm0g, however, will find that they get a discount to this fee which makes the amount a lot more paletable. Those that get argumentative would find their way barred by a pair of beefy Monk bouncers at the doorway. These two would certainly be intimidating to the average Galiandan. To an Elite of the Multiverse, however? Not so much.

On the inside, the club is respectably large with the majority of the area dedicated to the dance floor. There is only one level and surrounding the perimeter is a bar plus small tables and couches for the tired or drunk to lounge. The bar does indeed serve alcohol but all those who enter are questioned for their ages. Those too young to drink by the law of Sector Twelve (18 it turns out) are marked at the door with a stamp in phosphorescent ink that glows in the blacklights surrounding the bar. At the far end of the club is a raised two-foot soundstage with steps on the sides and a doorway into a greenroom behind the back wall. Turntables and other equipment have already been set up lining the outer perimeter of the stage.

By the time other people start to arrive, they'll find that the club already has a respectable number of people in it. It's not jam-packed cannot-get-past-the-squirming-bodies crowded but there are enough to believe that today's trio of artists have had quite a bit of draw. The staff is busy, clearly raking in the gil from drinks and clearly quite pleased with this.

Near the stage but not on it yet is Kyra Hyral, dressed in her finest non-school uniform punk attire, sporting her rather signature moogle hoodie. Two others are with her, presumably the other artists. One is a teenaged boy that seems to be slightly older than Kyra and has the darker brown skin of an Ifriti native. He's dressed in a crisp, clean dress shirt with the tall collar popped and skiny jeans. A pair of black pixel-frame-styled glasses sit on his nose and a keytar is slung in front of him. The other is a girl much older than the other two, her skin the signature pale grey color of some native Ramuhans. She is dressed as the gothiest goth to ever goth.

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva's been to a lot of clubs. This place seems like a number of them that she's been to, but there's just a few jarring differences. The decorations, the behavior of some of the people there. Hell, the drink brands.

And hell yes is riva drinking today, with some kind of fruity frozen concoction that seems to be somewhat similar to a daquiri even if it tastes more like mango than strawberry. She sips the frozen drink and watches the people out on the dance floor, her gaze moving to Kyra. From her expression, she looks like she wants to head over there, but there's a definate tinge of sullenness about her as she sits at the bar consuming the drink.

Maybe she'll go ambush Kyra in a little bit. They have time, right?

Sanary Rondel has posed:
After begrudgingly paying the discounted fee and getting marked with one of those stamps, Sanary steps into the club with a t-shirt and shorts combo. The former is yellow with a black cartoon canary on the front, and the latter is tan. That's... Pretty much it for the shorts.

She's also got thigh-length black stockings on that seems almost mismatched with the light colors of the rest of her wardrobe, and her arms are covered from shoulder to wrist in bandages. Should she even be here, considering how crazy clubs can get?

Pah! A little thing like useless arms isn't going to stop Sanary from having a good time. She might not be able to get any booze in her, but she can at least enjoy the show and try to find some of her friends in this place. The tricky part is actually /finding/ any of them in this mass of people.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Not everyone who's here is here for pleasure. While Dominic is very much a fan of MogStep and its proprieter, he's mostly here for work. This is evidenced by his outfit: A pair of jeans, a belt, boots, and a black t-shirt that reads 'Security' on the front of it. He looks smaller than some of the more intimidating security members like the Monk or the Other Monk. Still, working club security in his part time is a way to make rent and pay bills now that he's living on his own with a roommate.

His sword is at his side, attached to the belt he wears. Rather than at the stage like some of the bigger and more imposing security, Dominic is hanging out near the bar to deal with any drunk and rowdy patrons that need a little tap from a Sleepblade or some other form of control.

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
AUDREY STORMFIST is BFFs with Kyra.
    Really.
She has, thusly, come to support her BFF.

(To be honest, she just had nothing better to do.)

The KIRIN supervisor, essentially Souji's right hand these days, appears in the club still wearing her military overcoat, the reinforced blue clothes giving her the same style as ever. Her hands are miraculously uncovered, a sight typically impossible to catch, as she tends to wear those magitech gloves everywhere she goes. All in all, she's walking into a club wearing her PRIVATE MILITARY COP FOR HIRE uniform, but one hopes her reputation is enough she won't be getting harassed by drunk, authority-hating teenagers.

It's at the sight of Dominic that the Monk approaches him, curious. "I wasn't aware you played bouncer and security guard in your offtime, Masoch. A favor for Hyral, or is money running low?"

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
Haruko doesn't just walk into the room. She is basically strutting with confidence. She's parked her Vespa outside, told the doorman she's 19 (which gets a raised eyebrow, because she looks closer to being in her mid to late 20s), and has gotten herself a drink. Of note, she has a guitar on her back. So she occasionally has to confirm that no, she isn't with the group. She just brings it with her most everywhere.

She stays as close to the stage as possible. She's heard Kyra talk with Heaven or Hell before. And, like all other members of that group, Haruko has a certain interest in Kyra. Which is why Haruko is here.

Haruko does give Riva a slight nod. The two of them met, briefly, during a robot attack.

Haruko also frowns as she looks around and realizes she is probably one of the older people here.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
ARTHUR LOWELL is riff-raff. He is absolutely riff raff. But he's not going to go away, nope, instead he's paid he way in, with the appropriate discount. But he made sure to be obnoxious about it. Arthur's technically old enough to be drinking chronologicall -- several billion years -- but biologically it's up for debate, and so when he joins Riva at the bar (hell yes, here's someone he knows), he's undoubtedly ordering some soda.

"YO RIVS, what up? Know they're dealin' with a buncha POLITICAL SHIT but you don't gotta go FROWN PRINCESS on me here." He takes a huge drink of his soda rather quickly, spinning around once and only once as he settles onto the barstool, sliding his own drink to a stop in front of him just enough that it looks like it might tip over, before it doesn't. He gives a friendly wave to Kyra, eager and full of energy. That's someone he's been teaching over there, remember!

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Nearby the door that Dominic (and now Audrey) are bouncng-at or alternatingly just shooting the shit at, is a bank of waste recepticals. Recycling with one of those pushy-lid tops, trashcan, trashcan, recycling bin for bottles and cans, recycling bin for other stuff.

There's something... Off, about that first recycling bin though.

"Mister Masoch engages in many preperatory activities to season himself for his future career in Law Enforcement." Comes a mildly amplified, and tinny, voice from inside the topped recycling bin.

HEY WAIT THAT TOP DOESN'T OPEN AT ALL.

Inside is Mirielle, with an m-Pad running various apps and surveiling the scene from her wastebin operations booth. As a TRUE BORN RAMUHAN she could appreciate the subtle 'wubwub' of Mogstep, but she was more worried about assassins. Or Helenas, which to her knowledge was the same thing.

"It's good to see you too." Mirielle-recyclingbin offers to Audrey.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    TOO LATE, RIVA.

"Hey! HEY RIVA!" Kyra calls out from halfway across the club, nudging the two with her as she practically /skips/ over to join the older redhead and the Spacegod. She's obviously in a great mood right now. As she approaches, Riva will see that she's already got her camera strapped to her forehead but it doesn't yet have the telltale red glow around the apature, suggesting she hasn't started the Lifestream feed on her MogYouTube channels.

"'sup Arthur. I'm /super glad/ you could make it too." She is giddy. So giddy that the goth girl next to her seems to be wilting from the radiance. "We're gonna start in a few minutes but I wanted to introduce my fellow artists-" Kyra pronounces it ART-TEEST in an over the top, ironic way.

She gestures at the Ifriti, "This is SpoonyMic. Also known as the Keytar Hero because he's actually a Bard. And /this/.." she directs her hand to the goth Ramuhan. "...is TheLivingGravestone."

"I'm not a Bard." the girl cuts in dryly. "Pleased to meet you both."

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason has come to the A D V ENT CLub and she was dressed for it tonight, the of crazy form fitting clubbing clothing tht really didn't fit anywhere outside the lcub was the order of the day here as Lyria came to support her friend. She hoped Kyra's parents would burst a blood vessel over this, that their daughter hadn't been broken by what they'd done.

However the Levtani is here to show off have fun and catch up with friends. Soon that Kyra and Riva would find Lyria coming ot join them.

"Riva, Arthur also Kyra looks like the place is going to be packed for the show! This looks like smooth sailing from here, right?"

She also takes note of Dominic whose clearly here to be riot control if needed, so she's got no concerns about tonight.

Riva Banari has posed:
While not entirely familiar with the Alexander Academy crew, Riva offers waves to the Union-affiliates, but does not step on their budding rivalries, crushes, and shadiness. It's kind of nostalgic, really.

Haruko gains a nod back from Riva. She's watching you, housekeeper... Or would be but Nathan isn't here so she's less concerned about shenanigans.

It's when Arthur shows up that Riva starts, looking surprised for a moment and being thankful that the club environment might hide some of her momentary flush as she quickly tries to recover her equilibrium. "Ah, yeah." She says, giving Arthur a small smile, getting a bit of that Riva bounce back. "Just some things have been bugging me lately. I'll be fine."

She swirls her drink and looks out over the dance club. The people there. whose only care is what song comes up next or if that cute boy/girl/other will notice them. She chuckles for a moment, and looks back over to the Mage of Space. "Maybe you'll know, Arthur." She says. "Why do people profit from doing bad things to other people?"

The answer to DEEP PHILOSOPHY is delayed with the arrival of Kyra, and Riva puts on a big smile when she drags her associates over. Riva immediately leans over and gives Kyra a ruffle in her hair. "You're all kitted up, aren't you, Kyra! Looks like it's going to be a smash hit on the dance floor." She looks over to Spoony and TLG, and nods. "Glad to see you both! I'm Riva, I've been trying to keep deadm0g here out of trouble, with mixed results." She chuckles again. "So, do you all play together often?"

Lyria gets a wave and a smile. "Hi there, Lyria. Yeah, with any luck it'll be an amazing gig and everyone will make some money and popularity."

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Oh, I'm surprised you didn't catch it in the grapevine. I'm on my own, now," Dominic says to Audrey pretty casually. The Monk gets a cordial smile and a tip of his head as the Fencer leans against a wall and watches the stage and the crowd, "Rent's not cheap out on your own, so I have to make ends meet," He hasn't hidden his severance from his family, but it wasn't a public affair, either. Audrey was generally cool to him, despite her disputes with Kyra, so he has little reason to avoid being honest with her.

As his way of greeting when she walks over, he extends a fist towards her for a sort of fist-dap-broforce kind of deal before lowering it to his side whether she accepts or not, "I still get some electronics and service for free to keep quiet, but I'm officially out as heir," He adds with some finality. If nothing else, Audrey can notice he talks a bit more relaxed now that he's not a noble, "So how have matters been in your own business? I heard the Zaibatsu ran a pretty high-profile op. Even though you didn't succeed, people were still pretty impressed by the group's performance."

A glance is given down at the trash can as it 'speaks'. Whether he knew she was there or just is no longer surprised that she sneaks trash cans places. He taps a couple fingers on it a few times as greeting, "Thank you, Lady Edelweiss. Your explanation is also accurate. How have your own operations been? Are you recovering?"

He remembers Mirielle getting injured on a recent operation. In fact, his own healed wound has a phantom pain from remembering what a lightsaber strike felt like. He shakes off that memory with a bit of a headwag.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
A /club/?
As if Nonon would be caught dead in one of those.
"What do you mean you doubt I'm over 18!?"

Comes a voice full of venom, bitter at being slighted! Yet even if she provided ID, Nonon ends up with one of those glowing stamps. Being under 4 feet has its flaws, and that is most /definitely/ one of them. However, once in - Nonon is a bit different than her normal band attire. Oh she still has the hat, but she's clad in a completely white and black bodysuit, the white being bones trailing up and down her limbs, across her stomach and chest, and especially the shoulder skull with glasses and a mohawk. She has a funky hat too, and bone high-heels. Crossing her arms as she, being slightly over 4' tall because of the heels, enters, Nonon glances around.

She can't really see anything. "Well, it's not /that/ terrible/." She can't even drink though! Talk about putting a damper before things even get good.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
It's hard to tell whether Haruko knows Riva is suspicious of her or not. As usual, she keeps her usual aloof and uncaring air to her. She's a very hard person to read, in many ways. She's just continuing to listen into everything, wandering the club a bit more. Picking up bits of the conversation, trying to get little hints of what everyone is up to.

     And then she spots Nonon.

     A smirk.

"Oh, hey! ...Wait, isn't it getting past your bed time?" Haruko doesn't say this with any rudeness. If anything, it sounds entirely and completely sincere. Which will likely make it all the worse.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Hearing a familiar voice yelling at what she can only assume is a bouncer, Sanary shuffles back to the entrance carefully to get a better look at what's going on. Spotting Nonon getting tagged with one of those stamps as well, the healer waits until the council member's inside the building before approaching her with a light wave.

"Hey, Nonon. Didn't know you were into... Uh. Whatever mogsdub is." She scratches her cheek lightly as she glances around at all the club goers revelling in their... Glow sticks or whatever it is.

"Don't know if I'm really liking it yet." She looks from Nonon to Haruko, looking mildly confused by the two pink haired women before rubbing an arm gingerly. "Are you two related or soemthing?"

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
"Is... that so?" Audrey seems surprised. "I have obviously spent far too much time burried in the Zaibatsu's paperwork and not enough watching the news. How sloppy of me," she admits, evidently disappointed in herself. It's not really her style to be behind, but then things have been so busy lately, keeping up with everything has been a pain.

Right back to business, though. "You'll understand if some of the details of that operation are classified, but that's correct. We've been reaching out for larger contracts and to establish clients in as many worlds as possible, so some displays of might have been necessary."

Trashcan, though, can't just ignore that.

"Edelweiss. I. Erm. Should I not ask why you are hiding in there?" She isn't SURPRISED by it anymore, but it's still very unsettling, and that's despite Audrey generally being pretty hard to faze.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
"Oh, huh, heavy shit." Arthur says, his eyebrows shooting up. He seems to take that one pretty seriously. "Well...-- We'll talk 'bout it later. YO, KYRA!" He insists on doing that cliche coolkid handshake again, just to show off to the other performers here. Kyra's probably got most of it down, and it's still just as elaborate as before. "HUH! Yo, s'up?" He'll go for a shorter, much quicker stylized handshake for the Ifriti since he has a more clean-cut look, and a wave of distant apathy at the goth that he gets the feeling she'd prefer to any major introductions.

"Nice t'meetcha there, stormcloud, silverware. ARTHUR LOWELL, ROCKET POWERED JERK, been helpin' DEADM0G here on the side."

Lyria is noticed too! "Oh, YO! Uh..." He snaps his fingers briefly. "Whatsyerface." Did he forget Lyria's name?! God damn it. Rude! Then, back to Kyra and the other artists, "G'luck with the SICK BEATS tonight, lookin' forward to the ILL NOISE."

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason grins at Riva and she nods in agreement.

"I think I conviced some of my mom's employees to come well their kids anyhow who are about our age."

She looks to some of the arrivals whom she not sure of b ut she does spoot Sanary. That puts her into a bit better mood here and she looks over that. She notices Arthur's comment and she smirks.

"It's Lyria Mason."

She'll be polite for Kyra's sake and not start a throwdown with Arthur.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"You bet, Riva!" Kyra bounces up and down excitedly, "I'm gonna electrify it! Hoosnap incoming-" Arthur initiates COOLKID HANDSHAKE and on the fourth or so go of this, she does have it down pretty well. "So yeah." She turns to her fellow DJs, "This is Riva, my new, superior big sister. Arthur's got his intro covered as usual, hah!"

SpoonyMic definitely has it together and is pretty capable of keeping up with Arthur on his own, especially since it's a more abbreviated version. "This is our first time playing together. Hell, it's our first time all bein' together in the same room." SpoonyMic answers Riva with an easy grin on his face. "I've met up with deadm0g Eye-Arr-Elle a few times but not for a gig."

"I haven't met Kyra in person before." TheLivingGravestone says, not bothering with the DJ name, "But we've done a few collabs online. I'm not sure I'm really /down/ with this....being in person thing." She wrinkles her nose.

"Aww, c'mon, hearing live applause is /waaaay/ better than a bunch of upvotes on MogTube. Just you wait!" Kyra beams, prompting an even deeper scowl from TLGS. "I-" something on Kyra beeps and she gasps. "Ooh! It's time. I better get up there because I'm going first! Woo!" She leans over and fistbumps Arthur before swinging to take a sudden slighty detour to the right. Kyra quickly ambushes Dominic with a kiss on the cheek before she skitters off, giggling in that schoolgirl/mad scientist way.

Scrambling up onto the stage, Kyra stands behind the tables that have been set up, slipping a set of headphones on. The circular apature suddenly glows red around the edges. "HELLOOOO A D V E N T!" Kyra greets through a microphone attached to her headphones, "Welcome! This is DJ deadm0g here and I've got something special for you tonight." she starts a beat going on the equipment, "Never before released to the Mognet, fresh beats inspired by the Multiverse!" A very aggressive-sounding synth starts in, "I call this one 'Decompiled' and it goes out to my fellow DJ and Program from the Grid-Deelel! Check it."

The full music explodes through the speakers. It's fairly loud.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Mirielle, in her faux-recyclingbin, smiles slightly, before tipping the edge up, peering out into the club from her sittiing position. "It's quite comfortable if you take appropriate measures. I have a number of people who owe me a small favor here and there helping gather up some 'hype' for our DJ friend. As for me... Security. And you may ask, Stormfist. I'm simply... Not that good with crowds." She admits, her smile turning to a frown.

    "I recovered well bu-..."

Nonon enters the club and is thankfully called out to by Haruka. "Ah... It's her!" She hisses, before letting the lid close again. "That's the person who buried me in metal rubble. It took quite the work-over with Esuna to clear the rust-filth from my body. Urgh..." She groans, remembering being distinctly afflicted by Tetanus-like things.

"I'd rather not relive this. Trust that Mister Masoch and I will handle things according to our means. Enjoy the show."

Mirielle seems DOUBLE content to hide in her faux recepticle now that Nonon is around. And wearing /skulls/, ugh, who does that.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Due to some unexpectedly strong winds, Twilight Sparkle arrives a bit late to the party. But, she is decked out in proper clubbing gear. At least, for a pony. A few glow bracelets around her forelegs, a brightly colored patchwork vest, some legwarmers on her back legs, and even some frosted tips in her mane, which is properly disheveled-looking rather than the usual straight style she wears.

"Woo! Let us party hard!" the pastel purple pony says, arriving just in time for things to get started, it seems! Twilight doesn't usually go to clubs, but her usual ineptitude with social gatherings is enough to keep her from realizing that one shouldn't immediately head to the dance floor and start doing the monkey. Twilight waves her forelegs up and down a bit wildly, her tongue sticking out from the side of her mouth cutely.

She pauses when she hears the announcement. "Deadmog? Why would you want to be named after something dead? These sorts of gatherings are supposed to be lively. Having 'dead' in your name would seem to be contradictory to the entire reason for 'clubbing'."

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
Dressed up in the way that she is, maybe less people would recognize-
Nope.

It's telling when the first line that comes out of someone's mouth is about your age/height, but Haruko and Nonon have brief history. As much history as a vespa to a face and an attempt to sonically annihilate someone could possibly be. Eyes widen in hate before the voice meets a face, Nonon's eyes settling on Haruhara Haruko's own. Her eyes narrow, the bony appendages on her shoulders and thighs stretching out - why yes, she controls them, like some kind of musical spider, right now.

That is before a familiar voice and a wave catches her unaware. The tension is clearly there but... "I'm really not. This is more Inu's thing." She flatly states, eyes and body twitsting to face Haruko again as Sanary speaks up about them being'related'. Related with ... with that!? Now that REALLY offends her! "Like I'd be related to something like that!" She declares, loudly, pointing! "If we're related at all, she's the missing link!" Then the music, loud, synthed. Nonon audible winces, hands clasping over her ears. She doesn't hear Mirielle but does notice the trash-bin spin a little out of the corner of her eye. It's just a trash bin though? Only trash would be there, right?

This is like if someone beat up music, Nonon thinks. They are literatelly murdering it, she believes. Some people clearly just don't have club taste. That person is Nonon.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
Haruko, of course, immediately contradicts Nonon. As Sanary asks if the two of them are related, Haruko moves to put her arm around Nonon, and then hugs her from behind, wrapping her arms around Nonon's waist. It's a rather loose and casual hug.

"Actually, she's my long lost younger sister. I've been out of town for /years/ so I haven't seen her in a /long/ time."

She is, of course, completely lying.

But, as Haruko hears a few people talking about Nonon, Haruko smiles, "Sis, you've been causing people a lot of problems, haven't you?"

And then a glance at Twilight.

     "...Is that a talking pony?"

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Yeah. It's been a pain, but hey, I don't blame you. It's been a quiet affair," Dominic says pretty humbly, managing to give Audrey a dashing sort of smile, "Good to see you again, though. Need all the friends I can get nowadays, haha," He says in a complimentary fashion as his hands move to rest on his belt, one atop the hilt of his sword.

The dashing prince thing is sort of defused quickly when Kyra ambushes him with a kiss to the cheek and runs off. He huffs in that way that guys do when someone embarasses them in front of their work friends (Audrey, Mirielle, and the other bouncers) before sighing and then tapping the top of the can assuringly, "Do not worry, Lady Edelweiss. Barring another strange man with a sword of light, I should be well capable of defending you," He replies, "Should you be aggressed," He's still a little formal with Mirielle. Summoner and all.

As he looks over the crowd, though, he does not to Audrey and to Mirielle, "Does the crowd seem to have a bit of an... interesting composition to you two?" He asks, hand slipping to curl around the hilt of his sword in a reverse grip.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Looking from Nonon to Haruko, then between them rapidly, Sanary starts snickering while nodding to Haruko. "Good to meet ya. Name's Sanary. Good seeing you two reunited finally."

     She totally bought it.

Sanary's expression goes blank as the music starts, however, peering over at Kyra and her fellow musicians. Is this music? It sounds sort of like music, but she has no clue what she's actually listening to with all the thumping and... She's not even sure how to describe it.

"Is this.. Uh. Does this normal?" She sounds confused even as she asks that, having trouble forming a coherent sentence while eyeing nearby dancers warily as they get a little too close for comfort. If her arms weren't so messed up, she'd just shove those people away!

Alas, she's forced to just retreat closer to Nonon while holding her bandaged arms closer to her sides. "This kinda makes me feel like hitting something! Or breaking stuff!" Her eye keeps darting around from person to person to try and figure out if she's doing something wrong in NOT breaking things or starting a fight.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
POUND. Arthur reciprocates the fistbump heavily, energetically! "SHIT YEAH, knock 'em DEAD kid." He says, and then backs off for a bit. He watches attentively, sipping on his drink. "OH, HUH. DEELEL. I know that chick, helped me out way back in the day. NICE, she's in with a GREAT CROWD."

Cool Kids react to music with, at best, small repetitive motions, and so he should make sure to do so as well. As it starts up, he mutters responses to Riva's serious questions. "The way I see it is, bad shit only really gets what you want in the short term. Steal everything you want, you'll get it, but eventually the shit you're hurting, you know, governments or people or whatever, comes back to bite your ass. More people you hurt, the more people wanna hurt you. More you help people, more people wanna help you. Profit off of doing bad shit only lasts until karma comes and kicks you in the ass. Or at least you risk it. Sometimes you pull through, even if you're horrible and did horrible things, and then I guess you just got lucky. Just the way this is."

Then, much more casually, "Or, y'know, WHATEVER, I guess." He does an exaggerated shrug! "Who knows? Someone fuckin' FALLING DOWN ON THE JOB, maybe."

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
"If you... say so," Audrey finally manages to answer Mirielle, in that weird sort of tone where she's still not sure how to act when speaking to someone hiding in the trash. As a hobby, evidently, because this isn't the first time.

Then Kyra swoops in, kisses Dominic, and storms right back off. Audrey stares for a moment. Is there ANYTHING ELSE she hasn't been keeping up with that the crowd would like to just drop on her tonight?

Oh, the place is full of Monks. AMAZING.

Audrey frowns, glancing back towards Dominic. "Yes. The air reminds me of the dojo when I was a child. I didn't like it." Not that there's anything to smell in the air, per se, but her Ramuhan senses are unusually sharp-- the pressure each person is carrying with them in the club. Monks tend to breathe at set intervals, perfectly, well-disciplined. It kind of... creates this odd, orderly buzz in the air. Offset largely by the club, but being near Monks is still a thing.

"This is unusual, unless there's a discount for brawlers tonight."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"We better get up there too." SpoonyMic says, still grinning at Riva and Arthur, "Nice meeting both of you. We should chat more a little later, yeah? C'mon TLGS."

"Gladly." the goth girl grouses, retreating from the PEOPLE and leading the way back to the soundstage as the Ifriti follows along behind. Neither of them seem to be inclined to join in the dancing-and there is dancing, despite what the music sounds like. There is definitely dancing. Small pockets even clear out on the dance floor for the really skilled coolkids to come out. Watching them has to wonder if they're using time magic or have the Dancer Job to them. Maybe both. Neither thing gets called out as a bad thing, though.

That song winds down and Kyra, oblivious to the SIMMERING HATRED she's now cultivated for Mogstep amongst some of her visiting classmates (and not-classmates), continues on: "So this next one." she intones, "Goes out to a certain Spacegod-" she says it as one word, of course, "-here with us tonight. It is, of course, called ROCKET POWERED JERK!" Completely different music starts which sounds nothing like the first song. It starts off slow and takes a bit longer to get to the drop.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason is ignored by Arthur and won't press it, she's here to make some noise and have some fuin while helping her fruiend. She looks ast the music starts up and she stops talking because she won't be able to hear much else so she's going to dance now and have a heck of lot of fun doing it. She loses her self in the music now as she's starting to just get into it on the dance floor.

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva waves to the artists as they head back over to the DJ booth to play and-or prepare, and she looks back to Arthur, thinking about the words. She sort of swirls the rest of her drink in her glass, pondering. "Someone falling down on the job, huh." She says, simply.

The music begins to pulse, drawing their attention as Riva suddenly, with a definitive motion drinks back the remainder of her beverage, and sets the glass down. "Come on, Arthur. Let's dance!" She says, immediately reaching over to grab his arm and drag him toards the dance floor. Riva herself seems to ascribe to the idea of 'dance like no one is watching', since she seems to adhere to no real style, just bouncing and jamming around, waving her arms in the air, waving 'em like she just don't care as she hangs out around the coolkid.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
Nonon looks away from Haruko.
Mistake NUMERO UNO.
There are others. They are not as bad as this one.

Arms wrapped around her waist, the boney 'limbs' about her wriggle but are stuck as Haruko grasps her, hugging her. Satsuki forgive her, she has been compromised. "As if!" She exclaims, writhing. It's actually kind of amusing in that she, dressed up like a skeleton, cannot break free from a light hug/grasp because she ... honestly hasn't ever had to. Somehow she's not strong enough to just break out of Haruko's grasp! Maybe she doesn't /exactly/ want to. It's ... it's too late for her! Sanary, though. She's sure she'll see through... the...

The fight leaks out of her body as Haruko asks her if she's been causing people trouble. "There's going to be a death in the family if 'Big Sis Haruko' doesn't let me go." She claims, her voice flat, glaring without being able to look at her.

Stuck in the grasp, Nonon does answer Sanary though, as she eeks closer. "Well, when Inu plays it, I know that's the reaction I first have." She answers, voice still flat and not that cheerful/joyful. The next music starts - and hey, it's vaguely music! Nonon, fond of the classics, is quickly disappointed.

Wonders do not cease yet though! "Yeah that's a pony." She pauses, "Dressed up."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Twilight Sparkle, of course, very, very quickly becomes a selfie magnet amongst a number of clubgoers. Those nearby her clear a circle around her and start cheering her on, being /intensely fascinated/ by a dancing, glow-bracelet covered purple pony.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
Haruko lifts a hand to pinch at Nonon's cheek a bit. Haruko's catlike grin betrays the amount of fun she is having making fun of Nonon, "Ooooh, I /told/ you it's past your bedtime. You're getting a bit craaaaanky, aren't you, lil' sis. Though, you're so cute when you're mad!"

Haruko does let go of Nonon, but immediately grabs the hat off of her 'sister's head, and ruffles her hair a little. The hat is then placed right back down. Haruko puts her hands behind her head, stretching a bit and smiling. As she looks at Sanary, she says, rather calmly, "Please make sure my little sister stays out of trouble, okay? ....Also a lot of this club music is to get you pumped. Just if you wanna hit something, don't hit me, okay?"

In a minor act of pity, though? Haruko takes just a split second to get another drink, some fruity cocktail of some kind. And she hands it to Nonon when no one else is looking.

     "You owe me one."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary's almost tempted to join in on that hug. /Almost/. She wisely keeps her distance, though, especially after hearing what Nonon says, although it doesn't stop her from laughing and wincing.

"Yeah, I don't... Get this stuff. Maybe I just gotta listen to it more or something." Feeling just a little older and more crotchety than usual, she snickers again before nodding to Haruko.

"Will do. Although if she has trouble handling something, I dunno how much better I'd do." Another laugh and another wince. The music's not helping put her mind at ease, although she does look a little more awake than she did moments ago.

That pass of the alcohol doesn't go unnoticed, judging from the slight smirk forming on her face. She doesn't say anything despite that, however, instead choosing to just nod at the pink duo before turning back to the stage for observation.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight Sparkle isn't sure if these things count as music either, but she is no music judge so she keeps her opinions to herself and just keeps dancing. Until she is assaulted by selfie-takers. She blink as she starts getting attention. She doesn't mind at first, but unlike her rainbow-colored friend she doesn't really like attention. But, she tolerates it, smiling politely for the pictures and continuing to dance when she gets a chance.

She does seem to appreciate their appreciation of her dancing, and soon she switches to...something. Is that the chicken dance? Even though it is not the right song, Twilight Sparkle is doing the chicken dance. Because her knowledge of specific dances is limited. And since she doesn't know any of the people here so far, she is just enjoying the dance floor and tolerating the attention.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
As Kyra starts in on her second set, those that look up to the stage will see SpoonyMic shift around in the background. He straightens and tugs on his collar, pulling it down just slightly enough for something golden around his neck to glint in the spotlights of the stage. The gesture seems nervous but seconds later the atmosphere in the club seems to change slightly. The majority of those inside seem to grow restless, the pervading rhythmic breathing becoming a little more intense.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
Oh no. OH NO. RED ALERT, GIRL ASKING TO DANCE. This is the second time, and just like the first, all of Arthur's preparation and outrageous forced coolkidness is going into overdrive. Right now he is literally spending his own magic on optimizing his own movements precisely.

"HELL, SURE." He calls out, forcing himself to grim widely and energetically. "Let's show these NERDS how you REALLY DANCE." When he jumps off the barstool, it's like someone shot him out of a cannon. He's stylishly zipping right to the dance floor. Where Riva has a styleless sort of jam, Arthur has a very EDM-specific style with a lot of techno dance influences. He grabs space and aggressively dominated it with heavy, well-calculated footwork that spreads out as much as it can and makes him unusually mobile.

He has probably been preparing for this for a while. It seems well-practiced. He keeps close to Riva's more chaotic moves urgently. Focusing on this so much has him ignoring the shift in the crowd.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
While Yuna isn't a huge fan of dubstep, she's learned to appreciate it - you kind of have to if you live in Ponyville, at least to some extent - but Kyra is a friend as well as a fellow musician, and it helps that Kyra's own choice of music is more catchy than some dubstep Yuna's been exposed to in the past.

As for the rest of why the blonde idol singer hasn't been in evidence ... well, she's petite, it's easy to miss her in the crowd. She is, however, here - and the shift in the atmosphere catches her just before she was about to try waving to Kyra. She pauses briefly, looking around again - to the extent that she can see anything besides the stage from where she currently is at the front of the crowd.

.. eh. It's probably nothing. Hopefully it's nothing. She waves, when she thinks she can grab a moment to do so without distracting Kyra *too* badly.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
    Without warning, the music stops.

"...eh?" Kyra frowns and pulls one of her earphones off her head and starts examining the equipment. As she does so, SpoonyMic lifts his keytar and smoothly strings several notes together, which ring out clearly through the club's soundsystem. It's a very calming melody that could cause the unfortunate to grow drowsy or even fall asleep on the spot. Kyra in particular, being at ground zero, slumps over her equipment, out cold.

A large number of people in the club-roughly sixty percent of the clubgoers-pull golden-colored spandex hoods over their heads. From the greenroom at the stage level, a pair of bulky kids emerge already wearing the face-obscuring accessories, shoving TheLivingGravestone out of the way as they do. These two go right for Kyra as SpoonyMic steps out of the way.

Someone-it's hard to see who-screams out, "PUNISH THE CHEREM-LOVERS!" and chaos immediately erupts inside the club as the golden-hooded Adherants of Cosmos turn on those who are not of their own. The majority fight bare-handed, quickly revealing themselves to be Monks of varying skill. Others pull out blunt weapons-chains, clubs-or make their own by breaking nearby furniture. The Monk bouncers and most of the security staff seems to be suddenly absent-or worse, they may be /part/ of the hooded majority.

The non-Galiandans here and those that just happened to get the DJ deadm0g discount will find themselves being specifically surrounded and attacked by three to four Adherants each. Those hanging by the bar-Riva, Arthur, Audrey, and Dominic especially, will be faced with the more dangerous of the bunch. It's not because they seem to be the bigger monks. No, it's quickly revealed that this little knot of brawlers has a pair of white mage backups that promptly start slapping Protect buffs on them.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Well, Audrey," Dominic says with a bit of a surprised look as the club immediately turns from party to riot, "Looks like some people want to be idiots. I understand you've got the night off, but I've got to go to work. At least watch Lady Edelweiss for me," Dominic says with a serious scowl to his face. They're already rushing the stage for Kyra.

Dominic takes a walkie-talkie from his belt and says, "Masoch to security fronts, report. Need backup on the main floor immediately." He lets the button go and there's a long stretch of silence. He knows what that kind of silence means, "Bunch of... cowards." Masoch restrains saying something much worse.

With a smooth motion, he draws his sword and wreaths it in a somewhat thick blue magical energy. He holds it in a reverse grip and starts to walk into the crowd, nicking any trouble-maker that gets in his way as he tries to head to the stage. He's hitting people with a standard Spellblade crowd calmer: Sleep Blade. He's trying to put trouble-makers to sleep and out of his way as he heads to the stage.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Apparently it was a bad time to try and get up close to the stage; the Lullaby actually puts Yuna to sleep as well, wobbling on her feet. At least until somebody screams about 'punishing' and Yuna snaps awake again. And very nearly regrets it - in fact, the safest place she seems to figure she CAN be at the moment is ...

Up on the stage. (Hey, being a petite young woman in a crowd that just started turning violent is VERY dangerous.)

If Yuna can clamber up onto the stage, she takes a moment to look around, taking stock of the situation; she looks *scared*. "Any time now, Elner -"

The robo-faerie may not be fast enough to keep Yuna from getting attacked before she can transform.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
It has been a while since Nonon felt such shame.
The cheek pinch cinches it.
The talk about bed-time...

"As if, I can be out as long as I want!" She states, "Sometimes I stay up all night because I /want/ to." It's true, there. Sometimes she does what Lady Satsuki wants - and sometimes that is done by the cover of night. Still, her cheeks are growing redder. In anger... or embarassment!? Finally Haruko lets go, Nonon finding sudden rushing relief at that, up until the hat is grasped from her head! "Hey-!" She begins to protest, going to grasp for it.

Until of course a hand comes down, ruffling her hair, before the hat is placed, as it was, back upon her head. No one has ever done /that/ to her before. Not even Satsuki. Words fail her for a moment as Haruko talks to Sanary, Nonon literatelly freezing up. Is she killing her with kindness, or mockery? Or both!? Sanary is ... agreeable at least, claiming Nonon can take care of herself in a way. She wisely stays away from the hug - Nonon's cheeks a furious flush of red!

Of course something lands into her hands, something she had given up on for the night. Blinking twice, Nonon is about to ask what's the deal - mouth opening before Haruko speaks before her once again. Flatly, Nonon accepts it and responds. "Thanks." Oh, she will probably repay Haruko somehow - but she won't admit to owing her!

The 'minor' puts her lips to the glass, glancing around. There's the pony, dancing. There's some guy, dancing. There's a duo, dancing. Siiip. The music stops. Wow, this must be good stuff, Nonon thinks. That, or Haruko apparently poisoned her. Something a little more pleasing comes on, and Nonon siiiips, not understanding exactly what is going on as people start to pull out ... halos? Things start to get fuzzy, Nonon shaking her head. Why is everything getting... blurry.....

Her hand about the glass releases it - a sharp crash as the glass shatters before her making it quite clear. "Guh!?" Some kind of magic!? 'Past her bed-time' jokes aside, Nonon is caught flat-footed! Adherants encroaching on her, clearly, like everyone else.

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva can appreciate some good methodical EDM dance moves. The smooth Coolkid Groove manages to prevent Riva from realizing that Arthur dipped into the Danger Zone for a minute there. At the moment she's dancing, the music is good, and Arthur seems to be having a good time for all she can tell.

She starts to really smile again, getting back into the groove right when SpoonyMic drops his own beats and clears the house, as it were. Riva's movements become sluggish as she sleepily begins to glance over in the direction of the Bard. "Buuuuh?" She asks, eloquently...

When the yell rings out and they get swarmed by golden-hooded jerks, Riva is slammed back into the bar with a powerful blow, breaking the Sleep-based CC and causing her senses to jolt wide awake.

"OH HELL NAW!" She yells from the floor, and scrambles back to her feet. "You guys ARE TOTALLY NOT JUST RUINING MY NIGHT." She yells, as she pulls her own weapon, the anchor-like Ajoran cross hammer from her Agartha storage.

Her immediate answer is a Wave Fist to the face, and Riva is sent spinning over the bar to impact behind. "You... YOU GUYS!" She yells from behind the bar, and pops up with a seltzer spritzer, spraying it at the group to try to surprise them. "ARE GONNA GET IT!" She hurls the seltzer at one of the supporting White Mages, and then leaps over the bar, attempting to somersault over to get to the back lines.

"SOMEONE GET KYRA!" Riva yells, noting a serious lack of little sister in the DJ booth.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight Sparkle is in the middle of another selfie when the music suddenly stops. She blinks, then looks around. Then that soothing melody flows over the crowd, and Twilight's ears droop as she feels sleepy. But, that quickly wears off when someone rather rudely punches her across the muzzle. "Ow! Hey! What was that-eek!" She dodges the next one, then her horn glows brightly and a burst of magic energy sends her assailant flying back. "What is a Cherem?!" she cries out as she fights off several attackers and tries to protect those who aren't attacking.

As the fighting continues, Twilight starts to sparkle, then her Harmony Armor forms around her. Armor is a generous term for hers. It is really just a cape and a breastplate, along with a thick book with a mithril cover. She starts blasting her multiple assailants with magical energy that, while painful, will only knock them out and not cause any lasting damage. She is concerned about Kyra, but she can't just leave all these other people! But, Kyra is being kidnapped or worse, killed! So, Twilight blasts a wave of magic out to try and nullify as many attackers as she can, then in a flash of magic she is beside Kyra. "Leave her alone!"

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
As the chaos starts going down, Haruko grins, looking around. She stays fairly close to Nonon still, mostly because, even now, she is keeping to the sister act. Hence her staying close. But, the smile on Haruko's face... It's way too relaxed. She looks like she absolutely does not care, at all, about the current situation. Like it is no threat at all. In truth, she is actually taking it seriously. But, she is still looking forward to what she thinks will be a sudden intense amount of fun.

Haruko raises her hands, as if to give up. Her hands move slowly up. She speaks, rather casually and cheerfully, "Wooooooow. We're /really/ outnumbered, huh? We might as well just, you know. Give up, or something, right? I'm just a normal housekeeper anyways~!"

And then the Completely Normal Housekeeper goes into action. With one hand, she grabs back at Nonon, reaching for the back out of her outfit. She pulls Nonon in, puts her left arm around Nonon's waist, and starts carrying her. It is not a comfortable situation.

Her other hand grabs for the Bass guitar on her back. She makes one swinging motion with the bass guitar, swinging it in a wide arch all around. Though it looks like a normal guitar? The power of this swing is more akin to being hit by a car. She's trying to knock away all of the enemies with this one swing. And then, in this same motion, she flicks her wrist. The body of the guitar is now resting under her right armpit. The very base of the neck is in her hand. She points it into the air, and starts firing.

Yes, firing. A few bullets fly towards the ceiling.

"HEY, EVERYONE DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANNA GET HUUUURT! THIS GUITAR IS LOADED!"

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
    "Off?" Audrey smiles.

    "I am always on-duty, Masoch."

In a blurr, she adopts a battle stance; machinery clicks under her sleeves, and deploys into her magitech gauntlets, the sleek machine-gloves snapping into place like they were never off at all. "I hope you do not mind, but I have immediate disinterest in seeing this be Hyral's end. For one, I should rather it be much more interesting. Therefore," she says, as lightning bursts out of her hands.

    "Storm Fist."

One hand pulls back-- ignoring the masked Monks gathering around her, the Heritor's sight is set upon one of the men approaching Kyra. She swings her fist-- a lightning bolt shoots out, but not just a thunder spell. This is actual lightning, striking in a fraction of a second with a loud thunderclap. In the flash's wake, she will have disappeared from her position, and reappeared at her target, fist extended into the punching motion.

For all intents and purposes this is a teleport lightning punch. It might outclass what these Monks can do, but they could surprise her and dodge all the same. Either way, it'll get her where she wants to be--

And then lightning strikes again, as her other fist emits blinding white light, this time aimed for TWILIGHT SPARKLE. The lightning punch (assuming it hits at all) is pretty nasty, but she's just using it to streak by Kyra and seize her herself. Audrey is many things; 'jerk' and 'control freak' appear near the top of the list.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
Arthur is very focused on being particularly cool. The Lullaby hits him hard, but he has an outrageous amount of WILLPOWER. That means a buffed Monk attacker gets the drop on Arthur with a heavy swing, provoking the noise of cracking bone and a smear of blood on the offending striker. There's a heavy grunt. He stumbles back, having difficulty regaining his balance for a moment due to sleepiness... And then Riva shouting snaps him out of it. There's a heavy, aggressive grunt.

It is time to find out how Lullaby stacks up to Arthur Lowell's special ability: Obnoxiously refusing to listen to anything.

With one swift movement, he draws from his sylladex a standard wooden broomstick. He's not about to kill people here. He's a bit slap-happy from the pain and the lullaby though. "Hahahaha, nobody told me we were having a BEATINGS PARTY up in this bitch. ALRIGHT! If you wanted some extra LUMPS I got PLENTY for ALL OF YOU SONS OF BITCHES. This dance floor has a TWO HUNDRED MAN CAPACITY and I am FIVE HUNDRED MEN worth of KICKING YOUR ASS."

Riva's going for the back lines. Arthur will NOT let any of those monks get to her. "COME HERE, ASSHOLES!" He calls out, swinging. He doesn't care about protect and he doesn't care if the other brawlers hurt him while he tries; he zeroes in on the closest monk to Riva at any given time and just starts wailing away, trying to completely obliterate joints in their legs with zero mercy. "YOU TASTELESS SONS OF BITCHES, you had better EXPLAIN YOUR SHIT. What the HELL is your fucking DAMAGE and WHAT THE SHIT does this have to do with US?!"

Please, mooks; I need an exposition sequence.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
A Monk lunges for Dominic and his quick draw of the blade enables him to Sleep the Adherant before he completes his arc at the Fencer, instead crashing to the floor, enabling him to step past him. A second and third monk are felled in the same fashion but before Dominic can take another step further, the first monk attacks him from behind without warning, the sleep status having been helpfully removed by one of the Cosma-following white mages. He tries to wrap Dominic up into a rib-cracking bearhug. "Where do you think /you're/ going?" he sneers. The voice is recognizable. It IS one of the bouncers.

On the stage, Yuna seems to go partially ignored until someone from the floor grabs one of the turntable tables and lifts it over his head, hurling the whole thing at her. Elner has her work cut out for her in trying to stop the thrown sound equipment.

Meanwhile, the two golden-hooded Adherants on stage each grab ahold of one of the sleeping Kyra's arms from behind. They haul her up in front of SpoonyMic who kindly 'wakes her up' by smashing her across the face with his keytar. As she hangs there groggily, SpoonyMic approaches her with something metallic in her hand.

But then Audrey suddenly ThunderBamfs next to one of the monks, punching him out of the way and onto the turntable table. Audrey quickly finds herself enduring a tug of war between the other monk over the white mage. The bard, on the other hand, backs off and suddenly starts playing a different melody on his keytar. It's a very jaunty and /powerful/ melody that, when heard by the Adherants, enhances their strength significantly.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
As the music strums and the Security appears to be mostly asshole turncoats, Mirielle is at a loss for what to do.

Well, no, that's not accurate. For at least a brief moment, the somewhat bored Calculator-in-a-can... Had dozed off. The lullaby had really sealed the deal, as it's hard to catch a doze when UNTS UNTS WUUUUUUB is going on, but as the brawl breaks out in earnest and people are shouting, Mirielle awakes to a new world. A world of Violence. She hadn't predicted this. She had, in fact, put more stock in other eventualities and had hedged against those. 'Religious Fanatics' had been so low as to be an excluded outlier.

Mirielle has to take note of this. 'Kyra Hyral - Connection to Religious Fanatics?', adding an underline into her day-book, before slowly popping the top and reaching out for the closest gold-hood, trying to hook one arm around their neck, and press a spell-brewing hand into the back of the gold-hood's head. Now, she'd never be able to sleeper hold a guy down, her noodle arms are too NOODLY.

Thankfully, she can cheat and use Magic. And so, like a shitty nerdy Sam Fischer, she tries for a cover takedown. But wasting one guy? Pff, whatever. It won't matter. Getting her hands on a hood, though, could help her. Especially getting across the room without being brained and beaten half to death.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Those that fall asleep or seem drowsy get /some/ reprieve. Nonon won't be attacked right away. Moreso she'd just be shoved over with a Pressure Point jab to the solar plexus as the Adherants go for more sleep-resistant or more Seen Talking to Kyra attendees first.

Riva, for instance, who was identified as a replacement sister earlier will receive aggression even when she's clearly under a Status Effect and normally Not A Worthy Monk Opponent. The offending monk runs after her as she sails over the bar and it ends up that it means he gets a seltzer spritzer to the face. The monk backs away, rubbing at his eyes, snarling and fortunately lacking enough discipline to use Inner Alchemy to purge the seltzer irritants from his eyes. The white mage, on the other hand, is about to do the job for him when Riva beans him in the head with the bottle, staggering him for a few crucial seconds.

Twilight Sparkle, unfortunately, finds herself not only on the receiving end of monk assaults but some nasty namecalling as well where she is compared to several different breeds of (apparently horse-like) local monsters and thus equated to Chaosspawn. Her question receives no answer from the Adherants, so consumed by hate right now that Twilight can practically feel it. She'll find she's able to fend off her attackers easily, the Monks severely underestimating the unicorn's magical ability. In short order, Twilight finds her next to Audrey (possibly in the line of one of her attacks, at that!), on stage with the one remaining Monk and SpoonyMic.

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
A tug of war is pretty bad. Keeping both arms on Kyra is... well, OPTIMAL, perhaps not required. So the last thing you want is two Monks just back and forthing the save by the arms, especially with that Bard's song playing. Now, Audrey doesn't consider herself top-tier exactly, but she's quite aware a buffing song is going to take even a common thug to levels of strength near or superior to her own.

"Normally I would ask you at least once, but."

Black lightning crackles around Audrey's spare hand, and then shoots down to her right leg, concentrating in the foot. "Lifebane." No thunderclap or flashy display this time.

The foot is merely swung for the other Monk holding Kyra. The impact itself, if there is an impact at all, is going to be unremarkable (for Audrey's standards; it's still a nasty kick), save for the black lightning attempting to enter the Monk. Seems she isn't pulling any punches to save Kyra, because that's a blow designed to kill. Delicious Doom status effect, with a shorter countdown than usual.

The lengths she will go through just to ensure she's the one who gets to put Kyra under at a later time.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
The tight nature of the dance floor and the crowd means Dominic can't act as fancy as he'd like or as fleet of foot as would enable him to evade and move how he'd do best. Because of this, his path is linear and it's not too hard for that Monk to put two arms around him and hoist him up off the ground in a bear hug.

There's a grimace of pain and a creak of bones from the pressure of the hug, but Dominic won't dignify them with a cry of pain. Still, he thrashes a bit and can feel the darkness creeping in around the corners of his vision as he tries to let instinct take the best option for himself.

    [Reaction Skill: Reflex]

With the sword in his hand, Dominic abruptly grunts out, "Going... to do... your job. Traitor," And then he takes an action he knows will get him put down IMMEDIATELY. His arm snakes in at an unnatural angle, stabbing backwards and down towards his enemy behind him. The blade seeks right between his opponents legs in a brutal downward shearing stab. Kojirou's methodology about winning fights had definitely set into his mind and, while he won't kill a man so casually, he has no problem maiming him for life.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
That looks rough.
It's a dream though, right?
Even as they get closer, her eyes feel a bit heavy.

It has the potential to bad real fast. Such as that before Haruko even grasps for her, Nonon is already falling against her, eyes beginning to once again close - they are quite heavy. If she could just clear the /air/. She has to focus though, and that's failing /quite significantly/. Was, at least, before Nonon is caught in a very uncomfortable position. Her body-suit is grasped, pulling her in and then ending up with her UNDER THE ARM OF HARUKO. Oh what kind of nightmare is this!?

Gasped by her waist, Nonon has enough freedom to move, which is why she twists upwards a bit. "What's the big ide-!" She pulls back as the guitar is whipped out, swinging wide, Nonon thankfully short enough to avoid the sudden swing - and more importantly to keep her hat on! The guitar, resting under her arm? What good will it do there after... Nonon's eyes widen suddenly as the shouts and shots make it /very clear/ that she is packing.

It keeps her focused though, more than focused. She /hates/ this situation. That makes it perfect. Haruko honestly helps quite a bit. While Haruko is focused on those around her, her left arm would get a considerably bit warmer for a very brief moment, "Symphonia Regalia - Da Capo!" Comes her voice, the odd skull and bone display of Grave suddenly vanishing to be replaced with a bit more formal attire, but Nonon doesn't leave Haruko's grasp.

Her hat, however, has grown two sizes that day. Raising her head, Nonon focuses, and points her hat/head towards the middle of the room - and keytar wielder. "Make sure you keep me pointed at him, ok? I'm getting tired of-" Tch, she thinks, 'playing' right into it, "THIS DAMN MUSIC!" Something clearly bugged her! There's a glowing purple at the tip of the hat-cannon. There's a sucking sound for the moment - that's actually part of the song. It's fast paced, it's charging up, and then it's off~! The 'music' from the hat being branded with one large G-clef and then storming through the air, erupting off, galloping around the room - and potentially interfering with the bards buffs from the keytar. Anything hit by it, friend or foe alike, might start to vibrate a bit - and seemingly lose connection from the music entirely!

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
At the sight of the table being flung straight at her, Yuna can only do two things: scream in fear, and hunker down as hard as she can against the stage, covering her head with her hand. Neither of those is actually going to stop thrown furniture from hitting her, though - and she does know it ...

But the table stops anyway as it slams into a bubble of golden light: the wood creaking with the impact before gravity gives it a yank and the table falls to the floor, revealing Yuna cowering inside a spherical force field, and a tiny robo-faerie floating next to and above her. "'It's just a concert, Elner, I'll be fine, you don't need to worry about me,'" says the robo-faerie in a passable imitation of Yuna's own voice. "Normally, you ARE right about that, but this time -"

Somewhere between sheepish and flustered, Yuna gets back to her feet. "It's not like either of us had a reason to suspect anything, is it? But I *could* use my Light Suit."

"I don't think fighting your way through them will help very much," Elner points out as a swirl of light and wind rises around Yuna's body, replacing her sandals and sundress with the boots, bodysuit, and gloves of her basic armored battlesuit. "They aren't being controlled by an outside force, and there are too many for --"

"So I take advantage of being an idol singer," Yuna interrupts, watching out for anything else being thrown at her. Elner's force field is still up, although how long the robo-faerie can maintain it is a valid question ... and then the barrier goes down, mostly because Yuna is leaving it to fetch a microphone that's already plugged into the system. The bard's maintaining a lively rhythm, but Yuna forces it out of her head, recalling the lyrics to one of the songs she likes ...

And then she starts singing, projecting but not 'loud,' putting her emotions into the lyrics:

o/~    Until the wind's direction changes, I'm just waiting in this place
Not even stepping forward, for fear of regrets

It's a considerably more sedate song than the bard's frenetic (and mighty) melody, and Yuna is going to have trouble trumping the bard on sheer volume, but emotional intensity is going to have to make up the difference.

o/~    With my heart adorned in its opposite colors,
I was always stopping on my journey

o/~    I hear a voice calling to me,
Telling me not to forget I'm not alone
All the people who can't be replaced are here,
In a place where their hearts can shine ... Stay in my heart~

As she continues singing, Yuna is swaying gently in time with the music, holding the microphone in her right hand and gesturing with her left arm to 'illustrate' the lyrics; Nonon's own version of 'interference' with the bard's performance only throws her off by a little bit, although the interference *is* there.

It's not the first time Yuna's had to focus through distractions to perform, though.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Haruko reveals herself to be ARMED and DANGEROUS. However, this seems to have the exact opposite effect that she was intending: "FUCK YO FIREARMS, OLD LADY!" Faced with a ranged weapon, the monks respond in kind with the famous ranged weapon of their own. Wave fist, air fist, air cutter. It has many names but it all amounts to a thrown shockwave of force that can allow a monk to hit Haruko from the other side of the room unless she happens to be quick enough on the dodge.

While the first monk and white mage get their barings again, a second monk suddenly tightens his muscles as he turns himself toward Riva. A firey aura rises on his skin, the air in the immediate area growing extremely hot. About to lunge at Riva, he's suddenly knocked sideways by a broomstick, sliding and colliding with a fellow Monk. The firey aura vanishes and he snarls. "You! You're that damn /Space God/. Associating with those of the Enemy, no doubt ready to lead more /astray/ like the Hyral." He spits at Arthur's feet then rises, the red aura suddenly returning, hatred burning in his eyes. "PHOENIX FLIGHT!!!" he screams, suddenly erupting into a ball of flames as he hurls himself bodily at Arthur. Hit or miss, the smouldering monk flops to the ground afterwards, unmoving.

He still seems to be alive, though. Unconscious.

Mirielle Solid Snakes her way out of the trashcan. The passing monk does not see the Calculator coming and slumps to the ground noiselessly. The white mage support does not notice this at all-they have their hands THOROUGHLY FULL with the rest of the chaos in the club. The hood peels off easily enough. There are no eye holes but the fabric seems see-through enough when Mirielle puts it on her head. When she does, she can cross the room unbothered unless one of her own fellow students decided to aggro on her by accident.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
With Audrey going after the other monk, Twilight Sparkle focuses on Spookymic. After barely avoiding being crushed by DJ equipment. She is still cringing, teeth clenched in surprise at the sight of the equipment smashed on the stage before her, and thoughts of what might have happened if she had been hit

She recovers within a few moments, and rushes Spookymic. "Why have you done this?" she asks, even as the spellbook that has been floating along beside her opens. Her horn glows, and the book glows as well. She looks fairly upset! Her magic forms a barrier around Spookymic, attempting to contain and imprison the offending bard. Once it has formed, it starts to shrink, attempting to restrict Spookymic's movements.

Twilight looks around as she hears countersongs coming into play. She smirks just a bit. "Whatever your reason for attacking this peaceful party, you have failed. Your comrades are being overcome, and soon you will be in the hands of the proper authorities!"

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
Despite focusing, there's a bit of a smirk and snark from Nonon based on what they say. "Big sis, looks like you're over the hill~, huh?"

Riva Banari has posed:
OH GOD MONKS EVERYWHERE. The heavy attention from the enemy forces ensures Riva is stuck in the tides of battle and can't break out of the scrum to get at that DJ booth. Riva, however does drop onto the white mage and tries to knock him the hell out while his guard is down. Like Arthur, she's going for nonlethal strikes, despite these enemies clearly Meaning Business.

Speaking of Arthur, his watching her back gets a momentary grin from her, as she raises her hammer. Red-gold Anima flares through the hammer, and she smashes it into the floor, a miniature blast wave washing outwards to strike out at the enemies and try to force them back. Yuna's sudden decision to reject the current BGM and substitute her own gets a yell of approval from Riva as she hurls herself forward. "HEY! DO YOU KNOW BALLROOM BLITZ?" She asks as she tries to do her own part to help Arthur out.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
So much for tonight being good and quiet. Maybe if Sanary keeps her head down, she can get out of this place without screwing up her arms more or even getting targetted.

... As if! Shaking off the grogginess from that keytar player's lullaby from so long ago, the one-eyed healer forces herself onto her feet and scans the area to get a better grasp of what's going on. Lots of fighting, lots of unconscious people, and dueling music.

If her arms weren't wrapped up so much, she'd start trying to evacuate the sleepers. Since she's not in any condition to do that, though, she'll just have to do the next best thing: Wake them up. Turning her gaze upwards, it's hard to tell if there's any sprinklers up there or not.

It's hard to tell in this club.

Sanary can only hope there are sprinklers up there once she starts pumping magical energy into her eye, keeping the flow controlled and steady. Once it's charged up sufficiently, she fires off a small heat laser from the Magitech eye and detonates the blast early, trying to get it to trigger the sprinkler system without blowing a hole in the ceiling in the process.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
Haruko has constantly told people she is just a normal house keeper for hire. That there is next to nothing unusual about her. For those that care, this is becoming more and more obvious that there is a lot more to her than just that. As the ranged punches come in from the monk, Haruko just twitches a bit. Or at least, her eyebrow does. Being attacked is one thing. Being called out on her age is a cmopletely different thing.

Haruko is incredibly agile. At her best, she is fast enough to cut bullets straight out of the air. Doing insane feats of agility while carrying someone else and making sure they're aimed in the right direction, though? A lot harder. But, not impossible.

She moves side to side, leaping into the air to try and get out of the path of the ranged punches. Even if fired at midair, she will somehow move her body midair to dodge. But, it's not perfect. The attacks graze her on occasion. One even hits her right leg dead on. This causes her to wince, and causes her to stumble a bit as she lands.

Her leap isn't entirely just for dodging, though. She's trying to get at the right angle to hit them. She's flipped a switch on her guitar, changing its gun mode. To machine gun fire.

"SCREEEEW YOU GUYS I'M JUST NINETEEN!"

She's still aiming for non-vital parts of the body, but she isn't making warning shots anymore.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Yanked between two Monks is a terrible place to be for Kyra. She cries out in pain which turns out to be the opportunity that SpoonyMic was hoping for. There is a brief break in the keytar buff music as he shoves something metallic into Kyra's mouth before backing off with a glare. The remaining Monk makes no move to let go until Audrey's kick connects. At first there doesn't seem to be any effect but a split second later, the Monk realizes the vice suddenly closing around his heart. He screams, releases Kyra, and goes clamboring off the stage, screaming for help from one of the white mages. His screams get more and more frantic before they abruptly end as he disappears into the crowd.

"Says the traitor.." the Monk bodyguard sneers at Dominic, "...to Cosmo-AHHEEEEE" Dominic finds the Monk abruptly releasing him, a loud thud following as the man curls up on the floor, his loins a river of red, arms squeezing between his legs. "HEALER!" he sobs, "HEAAAAALEEER!"

"Sweet Cosmos, this is a shitshow!" the second white mage calls out as she tries to scramble her way to the effectively castrated monk.

A bard, left unattended, can actually be a very dangerous thing. On their own, Yuna and Nonon might even struggle to overcome the music being transmitted through the club's soundsystem. But combined, their abilities shut down the Mighty Melody pretty fast. For Nonon, those struck by the chord fall out of harmony of the bardsong, losing their strength increase. For Yuna, SpoonyMic finds himself having to play louder and louder as he tries to prevent his music from being drowned out by the idol. Yuna will have to rise to match.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
"HAH! I'd drop THAT beat on 'em if they weren't fuckin' TASTELESS." Arthur calls out to Riva about her commentary, keeping back to back with Riva here and making sure to intercept anything coming her way. He's accumulating bruises left and right, and it's time to get some more damage; a monk blasts into him at high speed and higher temperature and Arthur answers this by facing it head on. "FUCK OFF." He declares, loudly, attempting to headbutt monk out of the fireball.

Arthur Lowell is now on fire. "The fuck you think you're DOING? You think I'm here for WORSHIPPERS? You think I want ANYTHING to do with THAT SHIT? Shut the FUCK UP. What the hell does it MATTER TO YOU SONS OF BITCHES if people are gettin' 'ASTRAY'? Huh? They harshing YOUR worship? They HURTING COSMOS? Huh? The fuck wrong are you DUMB SHITS trying to RIGHT? All you're going to get is MORE BEATINGS! COME HERE! BITCH I don't want your WORSHIP, you'll be givin' me your KNEECAPS and your TEETH!" Arthur intends to continue his policy: Chasing down anyone trying to get between Riva and the White Mages.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
So focused on trying to outsing Yuna, SpookyMic doesn't even notice Twilight Sparkle's magic until it's too late and the barrier has formed around him. He tries to unleash the most powerful of all Bard techniques in response: HIDE. But it /fails/. "The Cherem are fair game. Through our punishment, we display our devotion to Cosmos." Though he realizes he is trapped, he continues to play, a sour smile on his face, forcing Yuna to continue her countersong to stop his effects. "It was worth it. Cosmos sacrificed Herself to fight the Enemy and I have followed Her example." He sounds calm, fully accepting of whatever punishment might be in store for him.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"You call me a traitor to Cosma?" Dominic says as he looks down at the Monk bleeding at his feet. He plants a boot on his chest and presses down, staring at the man underneath him, "Cosma was a Mute Goddess, so she could speak no hate. A creator of beauty and wonder," He lectures slowly, "It was Chaos who brought violence and ruin. Who saw beauty corrupted. Cosma died to end that violence, and yet here you bring hate and violence in her name. So then which of us is the traitor? The protector or the attacker?"

With a flick of his blade, Dominic looks to the White Mage that goes to heal the fallen Monk. His anger reaches a peak as he shouts at her, "Take him and go. Get out of this place NOW, before I decide that a wound isn't enough for the crimes he's attempted to commit tonight." He points his sword at the door as he says this, "If you're here when I come back, you will regret it."

And with that, he dashes towards the stage, aiming to regroup with Audrey and Kyra, though the former-monk seems to have it well in hand.

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
    Suddenly, something in Kyra's mouth.

    This is TURBOBAD. Maybe. Probably.

Audrey barks orders over the Zaibatsu line; she wants her two magically inclined folks to be checking the White Mage out -yesterday-. In the meantime, Audrey catches, and carefully sets down Kyra, following the Monk running off screaming.

She intends to secure the stage, so that Sanary and Mirielle can get to her and check Kyra out. If anyone else wants to try their shot at being a doctor, well, she's not going to stop them.

While one hand draws her gunblade, the other clenches, pointed in the direction of SpoonyMic. A small cannon atop the gauntlet reveals itself and fires!

A black-grey blast of what seems to be metallic goo flies through the air towards her target; if it hits, it's not going to hurt, it's going to do much worse. It hardens, wrapping around SpoonyMic, and then revealing that there's a cable attaching the hardening goo to the gauntlet's magitech cannon chamber. And then Audrey will YANK, and pull the man straight towards her.

Her gunblade is angled to go straight through a thigh, should he be unable to free himself to dodge. She's not going to kill the man who can be 'incited' to tell them what he just did.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
o/~    What should I be able to do? I can't find anything
Even though you embrace this little me ...

There should be a mixing board or something somewhere around the stage; Yuna glances pointedly at Elner as she keeps right on singing, and the little robo-faerie flits of to find the mixing board and mess with the volume settings. Turning the bard's keytar down and turning Yuna's microphone up should help ... and in the meantime, Yuna really is pouring her heart, her feelings, into the words that she's singing.

o/~    If I think back now about even ordinary days,
I should be able to shine without a blink

o/~    Even on sad and rainy days,
You shared an umbrella and the courage to walk
Laughing and crying with all of our strength
Because you saw my true face through it all ... stay in my heart

It's actually good practice, pouring all of her focus into a song like this in spite of deliberate attempts to distract her from it. And the competing beat from the bard's chosen song is a pretty potent distraction - Yuna has to stay completely focused ... which makes her a REALLY easy target, it looks like, if any of the fanatics were to try to throw something else at her.

Luckily, she's had some practice at this - one of the exercises that Ryudia put her through back on Marianas. It's not something Yuna thought she'd be putting to real use like this, admittedly - but there's another problem rearing its head: she's going to run out of lyrics momentarily ...

o/~    I hear a voice calling to me,
telling me not to forget that I'm not alone
All the people who can't be replaced are here,
In a place where their hearts can shine
The number of words that I know
Isn't enough to say very well
But with my own face, I want to tell you
Thank you for always being by me ... stay in my heart

And with the end of the final chorus, Yuna stops to try and QUICKLY catch her breath, and just as quickly, to come up with another song to sing. Hopefully Nonon's 'backing melody' (mismatched as it is) combined with Twilight Sparkle's forcefield will help throw the bard off his rhythm - if he hasn't been disabled by this point.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
With Haruko, agile as she is, managing to stop some and also evade others..
Some still get through of course!
Smack! "Ghck!"

One of them impacts Nonon as she's carried, causing her to be /very/ cross. Even as Haruko dodges about, pointing her where she needs to be - but the grazes still also graze her. Being grasped and twisted about, Nonon is also dealing with a vague amount of motion sickness - though it's not severe. When you are used to flying, it isn't as crippling to be waved around like a party streamer.

But it's plenty uncomfortable.

Still, Haruko's remark gets Nonon laughing /quite/ happily, with a "AAaaahahahaha~! Big sis, are you sure? You can still be young at heart~." If she ends up with a face full of wave-fist, though, it'll be less surprising now! With Yuna playing, Nonon's hat stops. "Tch, I'm not going to share the spotlight with /them/." She remarks - but then thinks. "Oh, I know~!" And, completely going against the entire point, points her hat, and head, towards Yuna. The G-clef is far more prominent now. "May as well enjoy myself while I'm here!"

The beginning of Beethoven's FATE rumbles through the speakers - and then echoes out, a massive eruption of sound that doesn't jump or continue on, but just focuses upon Yuna, trying to not just /steal/ the spotlight, but completely take it away, the cacophany of the notes beating down upon Yuna, almost hurricane like in force and causing her ears to simply ring as well. Could be hard to keep singing~.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra seems to grow extremely quiet all the sudden.

Once the first white mage has regained his senses he suddenly finds a RAGING RIVA up in his business. "Not the face!" Riva can hear him cry out beneath the spandex before that fist collides and the white mage crumples to the ground in a heap. He groans a little bit and lifts a hand, preparing to cast cure on his poor, savaged head. He moves sluggishly, though, suggesting that he might be suffering from a concussion, before apprarently giving up and falling still.

Of course every club comes equipped with working and inspected sprinkler systems. There have been too many fire-filled club tragedies in the past to not pay attention to these things. They're also pretty sensitive, as Sanary quickly learns as she manages to set them all off with her laser eye. Water pours down from the sprinklers, soaking everyone. Those who had been sleeping before start to rouse and, more importantly, start to flee the club, scrambling to get away from the violence. It's a good thing too because in that moment...

Haruko opens fire. They may not be vital shots but when the enemy force is low on white mages, like they are right now, being fair game for automatic weapons seems like something not worth the trouble. At this point, the golden-hooded Adherants start to cut and run but at least one Monk tries to get up in Haruko's face to try and throttle her.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
As the monk comes at Haruko, she is struck straight in the face. It's simply a matter of too many things going on at once for her to respond, and the monk being skilled enough to hit her and take the opportunity. Haruko's head reels back, a trail of blood coming out of her nose.

Luckily for Haruko, she has two bludgeons to use. Yes. Two bludgeons. One in her left arm, the other in her right.

"YOU NEED TO TREAT YOUR SISTER MORE KINDLY!"

In a swift motion, Haruko turns and swings Nonon at the monk in front of her, aiming to use Nonon's legs as a bludgeoning tool. She follows this swing up by shifting her grip on the guitar, letting the neck slide down her hand a bit. She swings the guitar like a club, aiming straight towards the head of the monk.

     "KA-BOOONG!"

It should be enough force to hopefully knock the monk out, but not kill. Yes, she's still going for the non-kill shots.

Partially because she wants to take back a prisoner.

Haruko lets out a whistle. Her vespa is turning on and moving from where it is parked. It'll crash through the front door of the club, and drive towards Haruko. Possibly, it might crash into some of the cultists on the way in. If all goes well, she wants to bring at least one or two of the cultists with her, for interrogation purposes.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Monk on headbutt action is going to /hurt/ a little bit. It definitely seems to knock that particular Monk right the hell to the ground, where Arthur can tower over him and scream about how the Space God does not give a fuck about poaching followers from Cosmos. While on fire. Combined, the effect is /pretty damn terrifying/. The Phoenix Flight-ing Monk is down for the count, the only rebuttal he can offer to Arthur being a groan of pain, but the next pair that tries to go for Riva as Riva aggros on the white mage? Yeah, they straight up run the hell away with Arthur on their tails. "Fuck this noise!!! Fuckin' crazy-ass Extraversal!" They shove people aside in their haste to flee right the hell out the front door. At least to Arthur's benefit, his on-fire-ness won't last for very long since Sanary just set off the sprinklers.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight lets out an excited 'Gotcha!' as Spookymic is successfully imprisoned. But...the song hasn't stopped! "I don't know why you think these people deserve harm, but you need to stop! This won't help anything!" Twilight calls out to Spookymic while she keeps trying to compact her force field to the point that Spookymic can't move.

Then, she realizes it is that keytar that is the problem. She looks around. Those plug into things, right? She looks for an amp or something that it is plugged into. If and when she finds it, Twilight quickly unplugs it. Then, just to make sure, she starts trying to pull the keytar out of the force shield while keeping Spookymic contained within.

Twilight is starting to pant a bit. Holding spells like this one can be tiring, but she is determined to keep these people from harming anyone else.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary doesn't have much time to gloat about her success as she listens to the command from Audrey, turns, and abruptly makes a beeline for the stage. Thankfully, it's not too far from where she is to get there, although climbing on is a little more difficult than she'd like it to be. One string of strained curses and creative use of her knees later, she's up!

"Shoved something in her mouth, you said? Aah... Alright." She nods quickly at Audrey before settling into a crouch by Kyra, waving lightly ot try and get Mirielle's attention from... Wherever she is. Is she still in the garbage can, or is she in disguise?

Either way, she's got her work cut out for her as checks the inside of Kyra's mouth with two fingers. "If she swalloewd it... Better not make her puke in case she starts choking on it. Or puking out acid. Either or." There's a troubled frown as Sanary tries to roll the White Mage onto her side just in case, wincing at the exertion and pain in her arms. Pumping a little more magic energy into her eye, she moves in closer to try and get a better look at Kyra's neck and chest, trying to see if the Libra matrix in the eye can actually help her detect just what's going on in there. Probably not, but she'll try it anyway!

And then she'll just pump in some healing magic because why the hell not. It usually works for other ailments, so there's always that chance, too.

Riva Banari has posed:
The things Riva is hearing are just... Boggling her mind. Seriously? Is this all over the excommunication thing? "This... This is /madness/." Riva grunts. The situation devolves, however, as the sprinklers go off, and the attackers begin to cut and run. Riva begins yelling at them. "YEAH, YOU BETTER RUN! YOU BASTARDS! IF YOU GUYS DID ANYTHING TO KYRA YOU'RE GOING TO BE SEEING ME AGAIN TOO!" She yells.

Still running on adrenaline and Anima, Riva lets the rest of the golden hooded assailants go. She has something more important to focus on: Kyra. She forces her way towards the white mage and calls out, "KYRA! Kyra, speak to me! Are you okay?" She asks.

SpoonyMic better be subclassed in Goddamn Ninja if Kyra is in trouble.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Don't you dare pervert /our/ doctrine with your weak-willed words." The Monk beneath Dominic's boot wheezes stubbornly. "Your association with The Enemy will bring our ruin. Unless we end it-"

Dominic's shouting puts a brief pause on the rantng from the bleeding Monk and the white mage halts her approach. A hiss escapes her and she haughtily speaks, "Accepted. Come on, you idiot. Get up." The white mage bends over and presses a cura into the Monk, stopping the bleeding. He and the female white mage run in the other direction as Dominic goes taking off towards the soundstage.

On the stage, Kyra is left to slump to the ground, where she kind of curls up into a ball. SpoonyMic, confined by the barrier of Twilight, cannot go anywhere. So he cannot dodge the special cartridge that Audrey fires but when she goes to reel him in, he instead smashes up against the magic barrier quite uncomfortably. This effectively stops the song from continuing, plus the fact that the keytar was just unplugged from the speakers by Twilight. Plus the fact that smashing into the magic barrier kind of smashed the keytar a little. Yuna will have plenty of time to catch her breath now, the final lines of her song prevailing over the silence of the Bard.

Twilight's magic barrier at least prevents Audrey from yanking the Bard onto her gunblade. It might not last for much longer but for SpoonyMic, trapped by the barrier and confined by the hardened goo, he's certainly not going anywhere.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Mirielle had been beelining for Mister Keytar, drawing a wicked black knife from a sheath around her waist in the small of her back, moving her gold-hooded self towards the stage. There WOULD be something very shady and potentially murderous in her eyes - if they were visible, as someone decided to CRASH her friend's SWEET PARTY she cared about.

But then she's redirected. In the crowd of the faithful, she mutters 'yeah, cosma, grrr' halfheartedly, her unmeanacing frame ducking between swinging fists and crazed fanatics, and the WHIRLWIND that is Arthur's lust for kneecaps and such... Plus the spontaneous MUSIC GIRLCANNON and the SUDDENLY A POP IDOL...

It's all Mirielle can do but focus on the numbers.

It's also pretty awkward when a jagged, horrible black dagger-weilding hooded cultist (with Mirielle's build) slides in near Kyra. "A metal object? Did she swallow it, or is just in her mouth?" She asks, prepared to spam a few Esunas. "We probably need to remove it, and quickly."

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Or at least, Yuna WOULD have plenty of time to catch her breath if Nonon hadn't just broadsided her like that; with a yelp of surprise mixed with pain, Yuna is actually blown off her feet, crashing into the drum set and going down like a sack of bricks.

Elner promptly vacates the mixing board and hovers (literally) over Yuna, projecting another force field and making sure she's all right.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Haruko wins the award for the 'most unusual improvised weapon' at the brawl tonight as she smashes the monk with Nonon, following up with the guitar. It's a one-two punch combination that the Monk honestly did not see coming-because, really, who hits a /Monk/ with an instrument. A Bard could take out a white mage with a well-placed harp strike, sure, but a /Monk/? As he goes down, the last thing he thinks is how the other monks will make fun of him for being KOed by a guitar.

The female white mage pulls the injured monk she's escorting out of the way of the Vespa just in time. She doesn't bother looking back at the errant vehicle and flees out the door.

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
Are you SERIOUS-
That is the thought that goes through Nonon's mind.
There's a stream of red before her first, though.

Is that Haruko's blood? It is, Nonon realized - and while she hadn't taken many wounds due to Haruko's nature, Haruko /had/. She felts almost sorry for her. This is moments before Haruko tells her she needs to treat her more kindly. Rather, YELLS IT. Nonon's head whips away, canceling the rest of the Beethoven symphony as Nonon's legs slam hard into the monk, "WHAT!?" She cries out, at least wearing a pair of heavy boots, but her legs are flailing, which helps/does not help. It kind of hurts her on impact - considering Haruko's strength. It probably hurts the monk more, especially as the guitar is /far/ more painful.

"I'm not a BLUNT instrument! Are you CR-" Nonon stops herself, "Oh." Flatly, "Right." Of course, she gets to watch as Yuna clatters against the drum set and crashes to the ground. "Well, that was music to my ears~. I think you're right about getting out of here though, way past my bed-time, right~?" She asks, suddenly cheerful again. Imagine that!

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
There is definitely something metallic in Kyra's mouth. Those familiar with Galiandan law enforcement would recognize the object, though it's an older model that's being used right now, as a Silencer. These items were commonly used on arrested mages that needed to be rendered unable to cast and were designed in ways to make them impossible or exceptionally painful to remove without correctly unlocking it. It'd go a long way to explain why Kyra is no longer making sounds and appears to be bleeding from the mouth around the edges of the device.

The Silencer looks a little like a retainer from the outside though it holds her mouth open slightly, depressing her tongue downward. It's also magitechnology, currently drawing from Kyra's own magic particles to function.

The club is pretty empty-ish by now, occupied by the Elites, unconscious, and in one case, the dead form of the Doom-tagged monk. The sprinkler system continues to rain down on everyone still in the club, soaking and shorting any remaining equipment. Sirens can be heard off in the distance, a few levels up in outside sector twelve.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
With the battle wrapping up, Haruko lets go of Nonon. As in, she just casually lets Nonon drop to the floor. And with a smooth motion, she puts her guitar right to where it goes on her back. She grabs the unconcious monk, and tosses him onto her Vespa. She takes a /really/ fast moment to tie the guy to it, before sitting in front of him on the Vespa.

And then Haruko turns to Nonon again, smiling, "Hey, this thing can seat two, want help getting out of here, sis?" She doesn't want the cops seeing her get out with the kidnapped monk. But, Haruko is at least motioning for Nonon to have a seat too.

The seat being is specifically for Nonon to be sitting on top of the monk.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
"Fuck me, that hurt." Arthur mutters under his breath. And then, he shouts, as loud as he can, as his fire sizzles out. "YEAH! FUCK OFF AND FUCK YOU! You step up in THIS SHIT one more time, it'll be SKULLS I'm goin' after!" He starts patting out residual fires. "Holy shit." He mutters again, stumbling his way off towards Kyra.

"The RIFF RAFF is done." He calls out to the people attending to Kyra. "FUCK those guys." He's gonna get around Riva, figuring she's already got the Kyra Investigation part done. "Well that was SHITTY." He rasps, groaning from bruises and charred skin. "You got the KNOW-HOW to HELP with that?" He glances up to the barrier-contained man on-stage, eyes wide and aggressive. "'Cause there's more BUSINESS oughta get TAKEN CARE OF." After getting onto the stage, he makes his way over to SpoonyMic, looking expectantly at Twilight Sparkle. He silently requests the barrier be brought down.

He has specific intentions for handling of this person before the police get here. They do not seem to be good intentions.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight Sparkle winces as Audrey pulls on Spookymic! "H-hey! Stop that!" she exclaims to Audrey, then lets out a breath of relief as Spookymic's music stops. She looks around to see who is hurt, then gasps as she sees Kyra. "Kyra!" She makes her way over, then winces as she sees her condition. Of course, she has no idea that there are Silencers, so the purple pony attempts to remove the device. "Kyra! Are you alright?" Twilight asks urgently as she attempts to use her magic to pull the Silencer out.

Of course, she is keeping her barrier around Spookymic, so her attempts at pulling the Silencer free aren't as effective as they might otherwise have been.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic kneels down next to Kyra and looks at the Silencer in her mouth. He takes a plastic bag out of his pocket that says 'Evidence' across the side of it. The Silencer, while simple in premise, also has multiple makes and models. So he might be able to trace who bought one if he had the proper time.

"Tch. A Silencer," He didn't want to believe Audrey, if just because it was such an awful thing to use against someone, and generally he only liked seeing them on the most dangerous of magic users. He frowns and sighs, looking down at her mouth.

With some skillful work, he starts trying to deactivate and remove the device from her mouth, looking over towards the hooded figure, "Can you heal her? She's going to need it, these are incredibly dangerous to put in someone's mouth," He notes, looking serious about Kyra needing some heals.

Once he gets the Silencer out, he'll put it in the evidence bag and then seal it shut.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
A groan rises from the drums that Yuna fell into, followed by a dazed question, "What hit me ... ?"

"Focused sonic bombardment," Elner evaluates. "What would be colloquially termed a 'sucker punch,' except it wasn't her fist ... Are you all right?"

Yuna doesn't actually answer Elner, other than starting to sit up, and from there, work on getting to her feet. She does look somewhat the worse for wear.

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
    Oh. That's a barrier.

Well, that's what she gets for letting the temporary anger and bloodlust take over. Audrey sighs, calms herself, and then strides over to SpoonyMic, as well as her captor(s) (or at least, Twilight Sparkle) if they haven't already taken off.

"Release the barrier. As the law enforcer here I'll be taking him in custody to be questioned and tried by Ramuhan authorities." Or, well, Zaibatsu authorities, but she's not going to say that out loud. She's still got that cable and goo around him, so it's not like he's going anywhere even with the barrier down.

Arthur joins them-- her glare turns to him.

And then the unicorn just... storms right off. To do very reckless and dangerous things to Kyra's mouth. Well, being nice never did pay off. Lightning crackles around the gauntlet still connected to SpoonyMic, as Audrey gives the unicorn at least one chance to comply.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason has been getting back up after the fight she looks pretty worse for ware without her combat gear she'd been caught pretty flat footed but she seems to be moving again. She shakes her head. She's lookiong veyr uynhappy and shakes her head for a moment she's looking pretyt beat up and she mutters. She's looking about as she recocvers she's got a potion on h3er and she's going to see hears Dominic asking for a healer, she's got a potion on he and she pulls the small file out of her hair, yes she hid it in there.

She'll make her way to Kyra and wait for Dominic to pull the silencer out then she'll administer the potion to her friend.

"Easy Kyra I got you on this."

It will help till they can get her to a proper healer.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
As Twilight goes to pull out the Silencer, Hooded Cultist-Looking Mirielle moves directly to stop the pony. "No! No. Don't. If you just try to pull it out, you'll cause a lot of damage, and potentially permanently change her pattern because of it. These are brutal devices, for the most serious of magical criminals." Mirielle explains, her somewhat apologetic expression hidden behind her hood.

Then, she gestures to Spookymic in Twilight's barrier. "You're going to hand him over to Dominic, right? He's the law enforcement person around here." She notes, before moving to Kyra to use her far weaker (compared to the White Mage's) healing powers to bring the DJ back up to talking shape.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
Arthur stares back to Audrey, and to Dominic's involvement. His eyes remain wide and aggressive. "You can keep him and take him alive. I don't give a shit and I don't kill. I have words for him. And then he can go." That's his terse, tense statement. Something about this situation has him particularly aggressive. Warped space god religion situations might hit slightly close to home.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
The situation seems to be... Sort of in control, at least. It certainly seems to be getting a little too crowded around Kyra, however, and Sanary muffles a pained grunt as she pushes herself back up onto her feet.

"Don't crowd the girl now. She'll need some space when she comes to. Speaking of..." Taking a cue from Lyria and Mirielle, Sanary starts putting her own magical energy into the mix to try and heal up the girl's mouth. Hopefully, that Silencer didn't too much damage that a triple heal can't fix!

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
To Arthur, Audrey gives a short pause, and then nods. "If you do not kill him, yell at him all you like." 'Yell' spoken with heavy air quotes.

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva gives Kyra some space when she realizes what's happened. Her expression is caught somewhere between wanting to clearly break into tears and pure outrage. She can't seem to decide what to do, so she just hovers near Kyra, probably to swoop in and give her a hug when the gag's been removed. She hopes.

SpoonyMic has his own problems, she's decided.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
SpoonyMic, still pressed against the barrier, swings his eyes to Arthur and they widen a little. The barrier starts to weaken, which alarms the Bard quite a bit since he realizes it's protecting him from Space God Wrath. As Twilight pulls on the Silencer, Kyra starts to thrash wildly, flailing and trying to grab onto the silencer. Her head jerks forward uncomfortably and tears stream down her face.

The Silencer finally comes out with Dominic's intervention, the releasing sequence lowering a metal piece that had dug and pierced Kyra's hard pallet from the inside of her mouth. Blood flows freely afterwards along with a cry of pain.

Sanary's healing is well-positioned. Kyra /does/ need it.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight Sparkle is stopped before she can do much of anything to the Silencer, Mirielle stops her. Twilight blinks, then her ears droop. "Oh my...thank you for stopping me. I had no idea." she says. She then turns to Audrey and nods. "Alright. He is all yours." she says, and with that her magic spell ends, as does the glowing of her horn and her magic book. She takes a few breaths to steady herself, then leaves Spookymic to the enforcers and Arthur.

Twilight raises a hoof to cover her mouth in shock as she sees the blood flowing from Kyra and hears her cries. "I...I didn't know! What a horrible device! What sort of cruel creatures would develope such things?" She has tears in her eyes herself, much like Riva. But, it seems Sanary has things in hand. Twilight steps back as Sanary suggests. "Will she be alright?"

Nonon Jakuzure (805) has posed:
THUNK.
That is the sound of Nonon being released to the ground. However, Haruko does however give her a ride... and Nonon, despite getting dropped to the ground, decides.. yeah. She'd like to get out before the cops come. As Haruko offer her a lift, Nonon hops onto the back - and grasps ahold of Haruko's back.

"Well, it's better than hanging around here~." She proclaims.

Haruhara Haruko (792) has posed:
And with Nonon and Haruko riding double on the Vespa, Haruko zooms off, out of the club. This Vespa really goes /waaaay/ too fast for a vehicle of its make and model. It's basically almost impossibly fast. Haruko will drop Nonon off someplace safe.

And then she is heading back to Heaven or Hell with her prisoner.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic places the Silencer in the bag, then the bag in his pocket. He'll backtrace the Silencer to a manufacturer or organization of origin within the Cosma church, if possible. He looks very serious as he does this. A moment later, he's putting a hand on Kyra's head, "Shhh, hey. We've got you. You're safe, okay?" He reassures her.

Of course, since he can't actually heal people himself, he leaves that to Mirielle and Sanary. Both of which get a solemn, "Thank you very much for helping her," For the use of their abilities. Sanary is, mostly, a stranger to him. But if she's helping Kyra, she's already got a ton of points in Dominic's book.

The answer to Twilight's question comes when Dominic stands up and sheaths his sword, "The Silencer is a device authorized by law enforcement to restrain the magic of a dangerous spellcaster. It is typically used on extremely powerful individuals, rogue summoners, and practioners of Chaos to keep them from vocal casting while in custody. In their most ideal use, they save the lives of officers," He explains, before resting his hand on the hilt of his sword, "That they even had one speaks of a nefarious source to all this."

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason is now working the potion to add to the healing, and then gets back. She now looks to Spoonmic. There'd been rumours about her parents line of work at the school since she arrived the thing is? Once the potion is handled she'll let the full on healers do their thing. Her green eyes are cold as she focus on Spoonmic. She's no god but her anger is clear.

"We will have words later."

She then turns her attention back to something far more imporant her friend, Kyra.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Yeah, she should be alright." Sanary's straining a bit to get her energy from herself to Kyra's mouth. With Mirielle's additional healing and Lyria's potion, though, it hopefully shouldn't take too much more to stem the flow of bleeding. "She'll still need... Uh. REal medical care, but this should be enough to stabilize her."

Dominic's offered a light chuckle and nod in response before Sanary starts rubbing her bandaged arms again and turning to Twilight. "It's an effective tool for... Whatever the hell it does. Stops spoken magic casting, I guess? Might not be a bad idea to use these on the the people that brought 'em in in the first place, though..."

There's a bit of a glint in her eye as she turns to Sppokymic, tapping her foot against the stage lightly before smiling brightly at him. Too brightly.

     "Orders?"

Arthur Lowell has posed:
The barrier goes down, and Arthur approaches more firmly. He first speaks with a more calm version of his usual casual speech. "Kyra went and she found a new god, or maybe it was no god." Arthur says, brightly. "Don't that make you fuckin' mad, huh? I hear Cosmos' hot shit. Let me teach you something though. And I want you to do every goddamn thing you can think of to tell your little friends you got together for this what I'm about to tell you."

The many-times-Earth gravity that slams down around the Bard's area will ideally be enough to disorient him and force him to his knees, but not particularly wound, as Arthur leans forward and speaks in what Riva might recall as his 'God Voice' with such a swift transition that the boy practically blurs. "PUT A HAND ON HER AND YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT THERE IS NO COSMOS IN FRONT OF ME. THERE IS NO BEAUTIFUL MARTYR GODESS TO LOVE YOU FROM BEYOND FOR YOUR VALIENCE. THERE IS JUST ME. KYRA'S GOD. WHEN YOUR GOD DOES NOT GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED, YOU FIND A NEW GOD."

He then converts most of his 'human' matter into a fusion construct that is not unlike the sun. Blinding and incredibly overwhelming to see. It seems appropriately godlike. "WHEN YOU NEED BLOOD AND VIOLENCE FROM KYRA, COSMOS WILL NOT GIVE IT TO YOU. I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU, BEYOND WHAT YOUR MORTAL KEN CAN BEAR, AND COSMOS WILL HAVE NO PART IN IT. I AM EQUAL TO ANY GOD. GRAVITY IS MY GRASP, IRRADIANCE IS MY SIGHT, THE UNBROKEN LAW OF PHYSICS IS MY VOICE, AND YOU ARE WORTH AS MUCH BEFORE ME AS I DECIDE. COSMOS IS NOT HERE. I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO IS HERE. BUT IT IS MY DIVINE STATEMENT WE SHARE THE SAME ANSWER TO ANY PRAYERS FOR MERCY IF YOU OR THOSE LIKE YOU DO THIS AGAIN."

"Fuck you." And then he will attempt to headbutt the bard with tremendous impact, despite his head already ringing with a headache from the last time he did that, swiftly reverting back to a human shape.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
The combined triple tech of healing effectively stops the bleeding and heals the wounds incurred on the inside of her mouth by the Silencer. The additional bruise on her face from where SpoonyMic hit her with the keytar also heals over from this. "Ugh..." Kyra sniffles and reaches out to grip onto Dominic. Physically, she seems perfectly fine now. Mentally, on the other hand...

She takes a moment to stare at SpoonyMic, a look of betrayal on her face.

If SpoonyMic sees that look, he doesn't acknowledge it, probably because he's being knocked to his knees by the most intense Gravity spell he's ever experienced. The Bard lifts his head up but only manages to do so briefly as Arthur screams at him. He trembles, overwhelmed by the presence, overwhelmed by the words, for one who has never seen a God, much less a summoned Divine, he finds no other way to manage. He cannot even muster up the courage to call blasphemy on Arthur's words and presence.

Sweet unconsciousness seems like a welcomed relief following that, which is what promptly happens when he's headbutted by a God in the form of a sun.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Mirielle scooches back, giving Kyra a reassuring pat on the shoulder as she fades back to give Kyra some room, putting her knife away in its holster. Pulling the Cosma Fanatic hood off and stowing it, she catches a glance of Arthur going full, BRILLIANT RADIANCE MAN.

She shades her eyes with a hand. "Kyra found a new faith, too?" She asks, pulling out a notebook and starting to take notes on things, before she forgets. The rest of things seems to clean up.

With an utterly dead look, the Calculator asides to Kyra. "While I know it's your scene, this is why I don't like clubs." She offers. It's... totally a joke! It's just a bad one.

In the very back of her mind, Mirielle wonders if anyone tried to Summon Arthur Lowell before.

Arthur Lowell has posed:
Arthur spits a bit of blood that was in his mouth on the unconscious man. "All yours." He says, giving Dominic and Audrey a broad grin, a wink, and double fingerguns. "I'm ollies outie." He'll wander on over to Riva. "Want a Gate outta here?" He'll be Gating out of here shortly, unless stopped, and letting Riva get out of here the same way.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason watches Arthur go fill divine wrath mode in this case she stares in shock and no small bit of awe as Athur lays down the divine smackdown, also headbutt. She just well is left speechless. It seems Arthur does deliver and she suspects he protects his world with about as much fury and passion as he showe there. She give Arthur a simple nod.

"You know he out did anything I was going to do I think I might have to make a few notes on that."

She now looks to Kyra giving a fain't smile.

"Let's get you to the medcenter shall we?"

Audrey Stormfist (652) has posed:
Audrey has to actually shield her eyes from Arthur's display-- and she makes very careful note, do not engage Hyral with Arthur anywhere near able to respond to it. This really, really doesn't seem like someone you want pissed at you, if he's literally a god of space. Not to mention, very hard to get away from.

At last, with the display ending and the Bard falling into sweet sweet unconsciousness, Audrey heads for him, reaching into a pocket. She pulls a device out; it looks a lot like the Silencer he stuffed into Kyra's mouth, but it looks more refined. And it doesn't have the painful drill bits. Lawe enforcement is much more humane, now. It's still going to be unpleasant though.

She'll secure it in the Bard's mouth, and then signal Sanary and Mirielle. "Let's go. Let Ramuh's authorities clean up the rest of the club. Hyral, please take care of yourself. Masoch, good day."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight is startled pretty badly herself when Arther starts shouting like that. It is like Luna's Equestria Voice, but even more intense! It takes Twilight a few seconds to to recover after that. A quick shake of her head clears the awe, then she blinks a few times. "Oh my goodness! You yelled at him so powerfully that he passed out!" she exclaims, still amazed.

She then looks over at Kyra and smiles gently. "I'm glad you are alright." she says, then looks to the others. "And all the rest of you, are you unharmed?"
