Serori (37) has posed:
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has a lot to offer any tourist who can appreciate Earth's primordial forces. Active lava founts, cooling magma flows, and scorched obsidian slopes paint a dramatic landscape unlike anywhere else accessible on the planet. Nearly one and a half million visitors will ascend the peaks over the course of a year, just for the rare opportunity to witness firsthand the kind of majesty which initially formed the Hawaiian Islands so long ago.

Today, one of those visitors is a ninety-five-foot long fire lizard air-dropped from the belly of a massive unarmed carrier ship. One moment, the sky is empty; the next, the cruiser has appeared, and the Leviathan's sinuous but immense body is plunging through the sky like a pro high diver, a terrible shriek loosed from its beaky snout as it strives to fly.

No more than two hundred feet from the ground, the gaps between the Leviathan's scales glow an eye-searing orange. On impact, the ground melts, liquefying on contact to permit the monster to swim into the volcano's depths.

The cruiser vanishes, taking off at high speeds for Earth's orbit, as the Leviathan, the Agnaktor named Roko, begins a lunging assault on the National Park and its visitors. He leaps like a dolphin on the waves, turning the mountainside into slag wherever he goes.

    News reports follow quickly.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Without wasting time, the earthbender went warp gate hopping to get to the area talked about in the news reports, barely taking time to switch to appropriate fighting clothes. Which means her earthbending clothes. Though perhaps it would have been wise to get an asbestos suit or something. Fire is dangerous, even if it's a damn lizard!

As she heads towards the volcano, riding on top of an earthen wave, she can't help but frown though. As she draws closer and closer, it's easy enough to figure that the thing moves through the volcano like a badgermole does through the earth. Not to mention her seismic sense doesn't work as well through lava. Not that she's worked with lava before, but there's little time to worry about that now. Not when people are at risk. A kick to the earthen wave launches the girl forward through the air, and as she crashes into the ground, fissures spring forth and head up the side of the volcano. At the same time Toph brings her arms forward and up, aiming for where the unwelcome pest is and try to force it out of the ground and out to the surface!

"Playtime is over, buddy!" she calls. Most likely she will have to deal with that creature before she can stabilize the earth. Hopefully there will be enough time.

Serori (37) has posed:
Roko coils back on his length, spinning himself into a compact knot of scales, blazing hot magma, and beastly fury. Curiously, though the Leviathan seems capable of liquefying the earth without any trouble, the part of its body above ground is kept cool enough to let any magma it wears harden into lumps of thick armor plating. That's going to be tough for average weapons to bust through...but an Earthbender isn't an average weapon, is it?

Roko lunges at Toph the moment she calls attention to herself. Beak snapping, a hissing roar in its throat, Roko introduces himself with a full-bodied charge.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Her feet are going haywire here!

As she launches her initial attack on the thing, Toph can't help but wonder just what this thing is, and where it came from. Not to mention /why/ it is here. Its abilities to harden the magma into armor could prove a problem to some, but it seems Beli is right. She's the right girl for the job.

But that means she has to make sure to not get hit in the first place. So when it roars and charges at her, Toph kicks into the ground, a pillar underneath her launching her to the side of the thing. If it can swim through earth, her usual defenses won't be much help, now will they? Luckily she's small and quick when she needs to be, even if she's no wimsy airbender. But even as she launches herself, she's on the offensive.
Reaching out with her left hand, Toph focuses on the magma there... and pulls her arm back, seeking to yank some of the plating off of the beast. At least the dried magma feels a bit earthlike, and it's more solid than sand.

Serori (37) has posed:
Toph's earthen pillar shudders as Roko collides against its base and begins to swarm his way up its heights. Twisting around and around, he mounts the pillar with surprising speed, until he's nearly to its top, where Toph is standing. Though his arms are short, each bear nasty claws, and these start tearing the pillar into a destabilized condition as Roko's beak again snaps after Toph's legs.

Magma plates are stripped from Roko's body, exposing the scaly hide beneath. Unlike a dragon's, Roko's scales are softer, more flexible, and not nearly as protective on their own. Unfortunately, merely stripping away his armor doesn't seem to hurt him.

As soon as he's finished his snap, he plunges back down toward the ground, preparing to burrow.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Culver University. The school is mostly abandoned for the summer, save for a handful of students and faculty who are embroiled with summer projects and a couple of classes. It is quiet and serene, uneventful. So much so that the two guards at the outpost outside the military projects facility are lounging lazily, waiting for their shifts to end.

They are so lost in boredom that they almost don't notice when a large shadow falls over them.

"Odd that it would be so dark at 8 PM in the middle of July" one of the guards remarks.

"Well, we do lose a little bit of daylight every day after the solstice and of course ... dinosaurs ..." the other guard starts and then slips into a stammer.

"What?"

"Fffff ... fff ... flying ... dinosaur ..."

The first guard follows the seconds gaze, spying a massive flying T-Rex, hovering overheard.

"Aww shit! WHat're we gonna do now?!?" yells the first guard.

"You, will do nothing, ssssssilly little mammal." A sinister hissing voice speaks out over a loudspeaker located somewhere on the flying fortress. Three massive forms are lower via a tractor beam and set down at the gates of the facility.

The second guard reaches for his emergency phone, " ... D ... dddddd ... Dinosaurs!" he yells into the phone.

Ankylo, one of the three Tyrannos now on the ground quips, "EVERYONE does the dinosaur, silly mammal! Snort!"

Plesio blasts the guards with a stun ray, "Stop fooling around Akylo, we need to be fast!"

Styraco nods to Plesio and bolts forward, crashing his rotund body through the front guard fence of the facility, "I'm not here to run through walls! Ankylo, use your thick head for something useful!"

Anklyo nods and charges toward the interior walls of the facility.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
And here Tony was, jarred out of his mental preparations to settle down for a nice dinner with his lovely wife-to-be (once she got off the phone with her mother, anyway), by the sudden appearance of a giant fire lizard thing in Hawaii. "What the fuck...?" he stares stunned at the television for a moment, and then sees Toph come charging out of a warp gate. Holy shit, that girl can move fast when she needs to. "Pepper are you seeing this?" he calls out in the general direction of where she's been pacing on the phone. I should be out there, he thinks. "Jarvis, get Mark 42 up here," he commands, already moving toward the door to the patio--

And suddenly there's a breaking story about a dinosaur invasion in a very specific location. Tony stops; turns back to the TV, his brow furrowing in angry suspicion. "Jarvis where's Banner?" he asks sharply.

"Approximately two blocks away, sir, walking toward the tower. I do believe he went out for food."

"Bruce," Tony keys in his frequency on his codec and speaks tersely. "Are you seeing the news?"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
It's a quick thing, huh? With the damn thing climbing the pillar Toph can't help but frown, even if it's making it easier for her to track the damn thing. The claws tear into the pillars, and the blind girl swears that a sulphur like breath threatens to knock her unconscious. "Easy there, you flame salamander!" she snaps back, jumping off the pillar even as Roko bites into the place where she just were, the earth shattering between strong jaws. Too close!

Landing on the ground, Toph catches the fact that the monster is trying to escape. Like he can escape from an earthbender by going underground, hah! A look of determination settles on her face, and Toph spreads her arms as the ground starts to shake as she does what she can to compact the earth around Roko, everything to slow him down!

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
Inside New York City, POtts was on an open conference call to her mother, lounging in the livingroom of the penthouse, jeans and a tank top, her hair pulled into a loose bun. She's all smiles, talking as she straightens up. "No, Mom, I don't think we're going to get married in the cathedral -- no, it's not a question of money. It's just not... us." she states, and she pulls up her E-mail. Suddenly, images of dresses, letters of reccomendation, offers, requests for photoshoots all pop up. And her eyes go wide, her brow narrowing, and she shakes her head and wipes it away.

"All I'm saying, Ginny, is that you can get married /wherever/ you want to, and I see no reason why it can't be in that pretty--"

"I was thinking someplace warm -- Java maybe. Hawaii, Tahiti...."

"Ooh, that's a magical place!" Carolina Potts interrupted. "So when is my future-son-in-law going to give /me/ fancy phone technology? Oh! What about holograph producing cell phones."

"... mom. You /have/ a cell phone that will do that. I got you and Stan them for Christmas. Didn't you read the instruct--"

Potts is interrupted, and the younger Potts turns, and her eyes go wide. "Oh god... Bruce == Mom, hold on."

Serori (37) has posed:
Given the opportunity, Roko will refresh his armor at every dive. Toph's quick thinking just might slow down that process. He splashes down, dives beneath the pebbling, unstable ground, swimming and struggling his way to the nearest source of superheated magma. It's not a very long dive at a place like this, and Toph'll soon realize that slowing Roko down only delays the inevitable.

Her next threat erupts from the ground in four points, narrow jets of liquid lava screaming into the air as Roko's thrashing body creates incredible pressure. The lava needs to go /somewhere/...

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
Bruce WAS out for a simple stroll, to get his lunch and some fresh air. But then, the news practically explodes! The fiey creature in Hawaii, only shortly followed by the news of the Tyranos bring their typical brand of 'fun' to Culver! Bruce's heart is already starting to pace. With concentration, he ups his pace toward the tower. That's when the call come's in from Tony.

"TONY! Yeah...seeing, but still working on believing. I'm on my way back to the tower, what's our move?" Bruce's sounding a little more winded, talking and running at the same time. He uses his control to maintain his current state so he can hear the plan clearly, and not all Hulk-muddled.

Serori (37) has posed:
    Meanwhile...

Greenwich, Connecticut is an affluent town of a respectable population. WASPy as hell, sure, but that doesn't mean it's worthless in the grand scheme of things -- after all, it /is/ the home of a few notable attractions, like a bird sanctuary, some shitty hill where the Revolution Army once bivouacked, and an entire neighborhood where the local Hispanic are welcome to live in only /comparable/ poverty. It's beautiful, providing the kind of scenic vistas Jackson Pollack would go bananas over. The most loyal of Doctor Oz's fan base no doubt resides here, alongside the largest population of Yankee Candle enthusiasts.

    Ah, the American idyll.

A second sun ignites above Greenwich. Blindingly bright, golden and glorious, an incandescent power source appears without warning, accompanied only by the dimly-heard shout of a woman surrendering to bloodthirsty rage. She is as golden as the energy she wields. Eyes like hate-filled emeralds glare at the poetry far beneath her shoulder-width feet. Yellowed spikes of hair whip around her furious face, caught in the vortex-like wind forming the twisting shape of her fiery aura.

    Serori.

What the hell could she possibly want /here/, of all places?

That question's answered soon enough. Without any other warning outside her arrival and visible 'power up' sequence, she cups her palms together in the town's direction, and looses a massive cannon of energy on the downtown sector. Hardly two blinks can be taken before the beam strikes. A charred crater sweeps through the town, destroying anything in its path, leaving smoldering ruin and chaos in its wake. The instant the cannon fades into small sparks of light, Serori draws another breath through her smirking lips, and begins to charge more power for a second attack.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
"Well, I was /going/ to head to Hawaii to help Toph, but--" A third breaking news story cuts in on the television. "Jesus Christ," he breathes. And then shouts, loud enough for Pepper's mother to hear over the conference call, "Carrie, get Stan and go down to the basement NOW!" He continues to stare in disbelief for a moment, and identifies Serori on the shaky-cam coverage. The gears turn in that genius brain of his.

"Bruce," he replies evenly on the radio, "We're being fucked with. Listen, I need you to get to Connecticut. I'll deal with the dinos. That should throw SOME kind of wrench in their plan--" There's a tapping on the patio door, as Mark 42 hovers in pieces, waiting for him. "Honey, I'm gonna be late for dinner," he announces, and dashes outside.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Damnit! It's easy enough for the earthbending master to feel Roko reshape its armor when it dives, which means... that she needs to fight it above ground. And be quick about exposing the armor and be smart about knocking it out! Because it's clear that she can't keep it still forever. Think fast, think fast...!

Other things are more important however, and Toph blinks as she feels the eruption of manga. "CRUD!" She can't do a thing if she gets burned by that stuff! So immediately Toph sweeps her arms to the sides, bending herself some cover. It's not like she needs to see, just something to make sure the lava doesn't hit her. Because even medical will have a hard time treating that!
This time she brings her left leg up, then kicks down into the ground with her entire foot, arms raised and at her sides, ready to add in some additional hurt if she's lucky with forcing Roko up as the earth shakes, several pillars errupting underneath where Roko is.

And if that is successful, Toph throws her arms forward in a split palm attack, aiming at the armor on Roko's head. Her intention? To shape into a dull spike that knocks into the creature's head. Let's see if she can knock it out!

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
Potts was ready to go battle station. Her countence changes when she hears where Serori is fighting. She gets that wide-eyed look, turning to Tony as her mother's adopted hometown gets blasted. Carrie gives a curse, and her feed is cut.

"Mom? /Mom/?" Potts states, looking up at the ceiling.

"... I won't wait up." Potts replies, and she watches as Tony leave, and looks to the windows, illuminating the fate of thousands over the background of New York's skyline.

Serori (37) has posed:
    That's a surprise...

Roko's suddenly half-exposed! Thrust up from the volcanic depths by Toph's created pillars, an undignified squawking protest is raised as his head emerges from the ground. Dripping lava runs down his beak, neck, and exposed shoulders, and though it begins to solidify, Toph's going to have to wait a moment for her trick to be truly effective. The magma's a bit sluggish to respond to her 'bending techniques, at first --

Fortunately, Roko's so confused and shocked that he's unable to retaliate until Toph's struggle ends and the magma bashes his forehead with a stony DONK.

/That/ results in a low, sputtering hiss that boils up into a shriek. Roko takes a sudden, deep breath, his fins and spines flaring around his head, his beak opening wide -- to release a laser-like blast of compressed fire breath.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Ankylo slams against the metal doors of the inner wall, kicking up a billowing cloud of dust. When the dust clears, the Ankylosaurus is flat on his back, his eyes crossed. One can imagine little birdies floating around his head.

Styracho sighs, "I didn't mean literally you Cretacious Creatin!" He pulls out a radio, "Brachio, lets crack this place wide open!"

"Fug yeah!" Brachio radios back.

The belly of the battlefortress slides open and a smaller warship, still large by any standard flies out, then descends over the facility. On the bottom of the ship is a hefty battering ram i the shape of a sauropod foot. It hovers over the wall that stopped Ankylo.

Plesio and Styraco drag ANkylo clear, just as the foot drops.

>WHAM<

Another billow of dust pours forward.

>WHAM<

More dust, the sounds of concrete and steel bending and shattering.

>WHAM<

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
"Why am I NOT surprised those dinosaurs are involved with getting under our skin." Bruce grumbles out in a huff as he gets to within half a block of the Tower. He ducks behind the building tower a more secluded area. "Send me up the coordinates and I'll be there. This is NOT making ym day!" Bruce presses a button on his StarkPhone, and a small side garage door opens. Within is revealed his motorcycle, which quietly initializes. Quickly Bruce hops on and heads for the nearest warp gate.

He heads quickly toward the nearest gate that warps him to within two miles of the destination.

Serori (37) has posed:
Bruce arrives to a scene of increasing devastation. Serori is in position above Greenwich's smoldering center, her aura visible as a dull yellow smudge through a cloud of smoke, ash, and rising flame. Another beam leaves her hands just as Bruce shows up -- taking out the next few buildings in her way. The smile on her face is unmistakably vicious and self-satisfied.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
The University is being scaled by one of the Tyrannos!

Accompanying her brothers, the less-quippy and a little more serious Sagaria is getting to a good cantage point, climbing up one o the outer walls as the others begin their assault on the walls. It's not like it's totally unreasonable for a ten foot tall dinosaur monk to be crouched there, but she's keeping an eye on the other Tyrannos... and gives a wince when Ankylo knocks himself on his back.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
    Bingo!

Toph allows herself a slight smirk as the magma obeys her. Okay, she can do this! It's just not as solid as earth, but even sand had to eventually give in to her. And the more variants of earth you know how to bend, the easier it is to bend the remaining ones! Perhaps this will work as good training, considering there wasn't much to bend at Star Tower without having people complain about 'structural integrity'.

The think of the armor into Roko's skull doesn't seem to be enough though, and Toph blinks as she hears Roko take a deep breath... what now? She would be freaking stupid to sit still to wait for that answer, wouldn't she?

Kicking the ground, Toph loosens the area she's standing, and the earthen plate is sent up flying through the air with a well placed pillar that sends the blind girl airborne, flying through the air over Roko. And once she guesses she's right above the beast, she kicks off the plate, which turns spiky underneath as it heads for what she hopes is Roko's head!

Now to focus on a relatively safe landing. Bringing her arms up as she leaps forward, she makes an earthen slide rise up from the ground, and she lands, sliding down behind the beast.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
A dramatically appropriate amount of moments later, Iron Man bursts through the cloud cover over the besieged university, gleaming cinematically golden in the rays of the sinking sun.

He hovers for a moment, letting his sensors give him a swift reconnoiter of the scene, and then without further hesitation or indeed any warning at all, he dives downward at a steep angle, driving directly at the sauropodal battering ram. All an outside observer would be able to see is a a flashing streak of gold and crimson before it SLAMS into the side of the ram with a great roar of displaced air and an explosive WHUMP of point blank repulsors!

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
The sky is an ugly crimsom and black as Bruce approaches the city. Building crumbling, the odor of burning woods and plastics as houses simply fade into smoldering embers and dust. The people, simply wiped away by the wrath of the faintly glowing woman above the city. Bruce, already considerably riled by the attack on Culver and Hawaii, has reached his final straw.

Slamming the bike to a halt, he practically rolls off of it and onto the ground. As he looks back up at the Saiyan, his eyes glower an angry green. His shoulders reel back and his chest springs forward, as the shirt material gives way to the increasing and emerging muscles. Bruce's shoes tear and split, and his face contorts and widens into his more monstrous visage. A moment later, the large, angry green monster stands, simply brushing aside the last of his short materials.

The Hulk reels back, and then lets out a loud and forceful roar! "RAAAAAAWRR!!!!". His teeth showing as he eyes the woman floating above.

Steve Rogers has posed:
There is nowhere a Tyranno can climb that a Captain cannot throw his shield at her.

This is demonstrated as the familiar red-white-and-blue blur spins through the air, angled upwards to try and smack Sagaria upside her head - and angled precisely enough that as the shield ricochets off, Captain America is already vaulting off his motorcycle and running, leaping to snag his shield out of mid-air. "So what dragged you all out of the woodwork *here* of all places?" he calls out to the Tyrannos generally, taking the situation in as well as he can manage. Iron Man's presence overhead is welcome - Stark's firepower will help make up for their being slightly outnumbered by the sentient dinosaurs.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Brachio grunts and glances out the canopy of his ship. He furrows his brow, casting a glare at Ironman. "You're nawt the Avenger I was 'spectin'. Guess you'll have ta do ..."

A blast of green energy pasts plast Tony's shoulder as Styraco takes a shot at him and misses.

Plesio yells "Sssssstun only! I don't want the suit damaged! the thingssss we could LEARN from it!"

Brachio hrumphs "~Nawt Damaged?~ I don't do ~Nawt Damaged!~"

With that, Brachio's ship turns in a violent arc, intent on smashing the little metal man out of the air.

Serori (37) has posed:
Toph's going to get her safe landing...if she can reach it.

As the spiked section of stone delivers a crushing impact to Roko's exposed head, the submerged remainder of his ninety-five-foot length abruptly snaps out of the ground to thrash at the air. His tail is long, whippy, flexible, and powerful -- certainly powerful enough to smash one lone Earthbender out of the air.

And if that's not enough, his undulation ends in a sudden /spin/, his forehalf snapping around to cleave her earthen ramp with massive claws.

The beast's scales are smashed and bleeding. His beak may even be cracked. But for all the pain he's endured in Toph's last clever assault, he's got a long way to go before he's taken out.

He'll attempt to burrow after lashing out, but Toph stands a good chance at interrupting his plans.

Time to introduce the secondary threat. All this rumbling around has upset some seriously delicate terrain. One of these volcanoes is very active -- and if this fight goes on long enough, the fleeing people may face another, much larger problem...

Sagaria (203) has posed:
Sagaria is not your every-day Tyranno.

She picks up on the sound o metal frisbee sliding over the air. She had been expecting the green one... and in his place, Starks and Spangles.

IT will have to do. While the others take on Stark (whom she had /no/ interest in repeating the last encounter...) she turns to the Star Spangled Avenger -- and as she stands, she gets hit upside the chest. DING-G-G-G!

And she rises to her full height, trying to look imposing as the sun plays against the fern tattoos covering her scales.

"Like a good soldier, I take orders well." she coughs, and she brings up her staff. The staff expands to its full ten feet, and she leaps off the top of the top of the wall to bring her staff down against the First Avenger!

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
God damn right that blast of green shit missed; Tony didn't hang around to get shot after his attack run on the battering ram. Iron Man spins away in a tight spiral that would surely make the audience wince if they're watching this in 3D. A gauntlet lashes out to the side as the warship comes around to pursue, fingers flexing to catch hold of one of the joints in its armor plating, if he can. Brachio can't shoot at him if he's riding the ship!

Of course there may be something ELSE he can do to him, but Tony's trying not to think about that. Instead, he's busy scrabbling one of the magnetic mines out of the storage compartment by his hip, to slap it onto the outer hull.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori is more than a little surprised to find Bruce Banner glaring up from the city streets. The plan had been to drag Stark out for a personal brawl, not his pet monster. Ah, but if she's got her own pet monster out rampaging, why shouldn't Stark let his off the leash, too? The frown she adopted at seeing the Hulk transforms into a beautiful, wicked smile, the Super Saiyan's face lit by savage, bloodthirsty glee.

Hey, speaking of pet monsters, shouldn't Hulk have kept his shorts on? What's up with that. Serori signed up for a one-on-one hate-fight, not a battle against a guy and his anaconda.

A flick of her tail, and Serori dispenses half a dozen energy orbs, each one falling like cannon balls on the ravaged town. She doesn't even try to hit the Hulk -- she just tries to piss him off by threatening more innocents. If he gets himself in the way of those things, they'll explode on contact!

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
When she's midair like this, there's no easy way for Toph to see things coming at all. And even if she can sense the armor plating move, it's not enough to help her as the tail whips into her, causing her to cry out in pain and surprise both, and she lands roughly on the ground, rolling roughly and painfully across the ground. The earthbended slide is easily crushed, not that it matters now as Toph's landing was anything but safe.

It does take Toph a second to come to her senses, the entire world spinning and her whole body aching from that rough landing. "... d-damn!" She has to get up and stop that damn thing! But once again it burrows, and Toph's eyes widen as she places her left hand even more firmly on the ground. Some people might not notice it, but her bending gives her a pretty good idea about what's going on thanks to Roko's pesky joyride. The volcano is awakening?!

She gets to her feet again, and Toph looks as determined as can be before she takes a deep breath and reaches out, mustering up all her strength to force Roko up again. This time with even more spikes that she seeks to bend into the armor plating... and then use that force to cause an inward strike against the creature itself.

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
POtts has three windows open. HAwaii. Virginia. Greenwcih. Overhead, she hears the sound of a call going to voicemail. Her mother's voice is cheery. Stan's is easy-going. The lights go down, the windows darkening to improve her vision of the situation.

And there she was again. Helpless, caught running logistics and studying the feedback, monitoring vital signs.

TThere was nothing she could do but watch.

Steve Rogers has posed:
If fighting somebody bigger than himself bothered Steve, he never would've made it out of Brooklyn. His shield rebounds off Sagaria's chest instead of her head - no matter, he can adjust - and he reclaims it in time to see her readying the staff and leaping ...

All Cap has to do is bring his shield up to block it. That shield has withstood a blow from *Mjolnir*, with *Thor himself* swinging it in anger; Sagaria may be an Elite in her own right, but she isn't Thor and her staff isn't his hammer.

He does have to keep his feet braced - but immediately after that impact, Captain America lashes out with a foot, trying to kick Sagaria square in the kneecap.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
The foot raises up, faster than someone would expect the dinosaur to react. She brings her le up and around, her body tilting backwards as she brings the oot around in a long arc.

And then down, trying to smash the puny little avenger!

    "Interesting -- a shield, then?"

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Plesio and Styraco help Ankylo up. The billowing dust clears, revealing a mostly smashed wall. Ankylo surges forward and begins tearing at the wall. A handful of soldiers take shots at him, while Styraco and Plesio take cover. The bullets harmlessly bounce off Ankylo's thick hide. Metal tears, concrete flies. The powerful dinosaur revels in the act of tearing down the outer defenses.

Plesio glances at a scanner "The data is being moved. They are headed for the roof! Ankylo go faster!"

The sound of a helicopter starting up it blades can be heard.

Brachio DOES A BARRELROLL trying to swing Stark off him. "Get off ma'h ship!"

>BOOM<

Stark's mine explodes, sending a huge plume of smoke trailing Brahcio's ship.

"Aww! You wait till I get ma'h hands on you, you armor clad @$$hole!"

Serori (37) has posed:
Another SQUAWK as Roko goes skyward! Hey, he's barely into adulthood -- he can still make some baby noises! Cut him some slack.

The stone pillars bounce Roko around into confusing twists and flails. He snaps at the empty air, and tries to get his footing, but he can't seem to get ahold of anything, not with the way Toph keeps reshaping the rocky earth. Somehow, she manages to start stripping away Roko's armor plates, too, leaving his soft belly open to a few punishing punches from those rocky plinths.

To get himself out of trouble, Roko goes all superheated, liquefying the next few columns that come rising up to strike him. The other columns begin to collapse beneath his weight, allowing him to sink back down to the ground. He slithers away, diving deep, deep into the subterrain, leaving Toph with a moment to breathe.

Steve Rogers has posed:
There's a grunt of either pain or exertion from beneath the shield as Captain America tanks Sagaria's attempt to either kick him or stomp him. "Don't underestimate it!" Cap grunts. "And don't underestimate the man who's carrying it, either!"

Right, standing there and taking it until she gets tired isn't going to work. Time for plan B; he charges - trying to get between (and past) Sagaria's legs before she can steady her footing again, and just *SWINGS* the edge of his shield at her hamstrings. He'd rather bring something sharper than the shield's edge to bear to hamstring her properly, but at the moment he's trying to get her *off* her feet first.

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
Hulk huffs and growls up at the Saiyan, watching at the energy flows to her hands and fires out and innocent people trying to flee. As the energy approaches a bus, Hulk leaps into the path of the burst. A flash of light and a fierce explosion blow the Hulk up and over the bus, sending him hurling a hundred feet before plowing into the ground like a sunken ship into the silt ocean floor.

Hulk rolls over, his skin singed and burnt in several places. He roars angrily, pound the ground before grabbing two trash dumpsters, one in each hand, and FLINGING them like a fastball at the glowing woman's head. "HULK /SMASH/ GLOW-HAIR GIRL!! RRRRRAAAAHHH!!!" If another engergy ball heads ofr a target, Hulk will again try to intercept it.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
KLONG! Sagaria's hamstrings are hit. She gives a lout, beating, HONK! o concern as she collapses orward, her legs bending. HEr head tucks, protective of the crest as she rolls forward, and then as she stand, she switches the weight to the other legs, and brings her tail around, attempting to send Captain into the wall.

"I don't make a habbit of underestimating my enemies -- no matter how small!"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Take that! Toph's expression is one of concentration as she feels the hits strike true, inflicting some serious bruising on the monster, whatever it is. Sure, she's not out to kill it, but the hits she aims are certain to hurt a fair bit.

The superheating isn't something she counted on however, and the blind girl lets out a surprised squeak of her own when she feels the columns liquefying. The hell is going on?! Those precious seconds are enough for Roko to escape back into the earth, and the earthbending master raises her foot and stomps forward, and she brings her arms forward before /yanking/ them back. "Get back here, sulphur breath!" she roars in her perhaps not so intimidating voice, all while she begins running down the side of the volcano. Perhaps it will chase her. And if that is the case...

    then she has a plan.

Serori (37) has posed:
Let's see. Trash dumpsters in and of themselves are not exactly a threat to Serori. In the hands of the Hulk, however, anything can be dangerous to anyone...even if that 'anyone' is a Super Saiyan.

The first missile is backhanded away in a screeching crunch as the steel is violently dented by the force empowering Serori's fist.

The second dumpster follows too closely on the first. Serori attempts an evasive twist, but the thing clips her leg. Yeah, that dumpster crumples, too -- the difference is that this impact manages to throw Serori back into a wobbly tailspin, a grimace on her face as her leg goes all numb and throbby all at once.

    Yep.

Serori turns her midair tumble into a tightly controlled corkscrew. As she snaps out from the spin, a shockwave erupts around her body, and her palms blaze yellow-white. Serori takes a breath -- "HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

A column of power wider than she is tall comes into roaring existence. Like some kind of orbital fuck-cannon, it launches at Greenwich, the Hulk, and any standing buildings between Serori and her target. It sweeps across the ground, etching another smoldering, ruinous crater into the once-idyllic scene.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Stark releases his grip on the ship and allows the momentum of the BARREL ROLL to throw him back some distance. He wants the distance between him and the upcoming-- BOOM

A satisfied smirk spreads across the face behind the scowling mask. "And you're not even going to buy me dinner first?" he retorts.

A flash of light in the corner of his HUD catches his eye as it was meant to. The Iron Man's faceplate tilts downward, focusing on the hole in the side of the building and the dinos milling around at it. Then tracks upward, sighting the helicopter on the roof. God knows he doesn't want whatever the hell data 'Thunderbolt' Ross has been collecting to fall into the hands of Genghis 'Douchebag' Rex.

"Fire in the hole, Cap!" he shouts down a warning, and with a -FUMP- sound a small metal cannister discharges from a launching tube on his forearm, lands on the ground in the middle of the three Tyrannos with an innocuous *tink* -- and then explodes in a huge wave of concussive force! Repulsor grenade, bitches.

Iron Man himself thrusts his hands behind him and rockets toward the roof to play bodyguard to the heli.

Serori (37) has posed:
Roko indeed seems to be gathering himself beneath the ground. Lava pools around his body, creating a liquid protective bubble around his body Toph's pillars have difficulty penetrating.

Keenly aware of the tremors above him, Roko cocks his head to track Toph's racing retreat. He lunges after her, the ground rumbling as the predator engages his pursuit. A dozen feet along or so, and Toph will feel him lunging into higher speeds, preparing to breach the surface...

Steve Rogers has posed:
While Captain America is able to interpose his shield (yet again), and spare himself the worst of the impact, the laws of physics will still have their say in the matter - and Cap gets knocked off his feet, flying several yards. Not all the way into the wall as intended, but a goodly distance nonetheless, despite his best efforts. He rolls with the landing, though, and is quickly back on his feet, sizing up his opponent. She's favoring that leg already, good ...

Stark's grenade goes off, and Cap speaks up as the roar of its detonation is fading. "So what're you all doing here? Just stirring up trouble, drawing us out on purpose? This isn't going to end well for you."

He's still alert for Sagaria's next move ... or for that matter, anything the other Tyrannos might try.

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
Pepper watches the screens. Tony and Steve. The battered feed of Hulk pictures. HAwaii's survailiance.

And she wrings her hands, and then in the darkened room, her voice "JARVIS." she speaks up.

    "... I need to ask a favor."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
She's being chased by a horrific fire and semi earthbending lizard! Hurray!

... she never thought she would be glad for that fact.

But those damn lava pools around Roko's body does make things difficult. Which is why it's better to draw it up by trickery. As she supposedly flees, Toph does feel the ground shaking with its approach, and she takes a deep breath. Okay, now to do something crazy! Skidding to a halt, Toph brings her arms up and the earth pushes her upwards into yet another leap as Roko breaches the surface, and in mid leap Toph throws her arms forward thrice. The last motion is done with spread fingers, and it causes a series of sharp and rough spikes to shoot up from behind Roko, intending to further add to the speed he is going forward with. And just maybe it will send him tumbling forward. Who knows, maybe he will tumble on down to the ocean!

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
The three Tyranos stop and glance in the direction of the *tink*. They don't even get a moment to register what they are looking at before they are blown in three respective directions.

Plesio, being a non combatant is thrown particularly far and slams down hard on the ground. He curls into a ball and shudders in pain on the ground.

Styraco crashes opposite Plesio, but his larger frame seemed to absorb the blast better. Stunned, he claws at the ground and tries to regain his senses.

Ankylo is turned into a wrecking ball and is slammed backwards through the wall he was trying to tear down. He puts up a thumb and says "Wall's down!"

Genghis Rex flips a few switches and the huge Battletstaion pushes forward in the air, it's center cannon flaring with a charge. He smirks as Tony Stark zips tward the Helipad and says over the lound speaker, "How, does it go, Tony? Two birds with one stone? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

A column of force energy leaps forward from Tarpits III's main cannon, streaking toward Tony Stark and the helicopter!

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
Watching how easily the Saiyan dispatches the dumpsters makes Hulk more irritated. It's the newest shockwave being sent, however, that really pisses him off. While Hulk is not the ripest banana in the bunch in most cases, he is smart enough when it comes to tactics and preservation of himself or those worth saving.

Kneeling down, Hulk presses his fist into the ground, and with a mighty snap of his leg muscles, his snapping leg sinews /LAUNCH/ him into the air toward the gladen haired girl. As he approaches and converges on the shockwave, Hulk reaches out straight to his sides and *SLAMS* his palms together, generating a counter shockwave directed at the one converging on the city and his body. When gravity catches up with him, Hulk braces himself for the fall unless otherwise intercepted by the Saiyan.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
Sagaria is patient, above all things. She keeps her yellow eyes on him as she circles, her staff beginning to spark at the end, coming to life. THe wall crumbles. And she gives a wry little smile at the good Captain.

"I'm only following orders." she comments, and then she leans forward -- and books it to Captain America's left, trying to get past him -- and to the other Tyrannos, to get through the wall.

Steve Rogers has posed:
No sooner has Sagaria lunged into motion than the shield goes flying, aimed to catch her across the knees, and Cap goes sprinting in behind it, drawing something from his belt ... it's not his knife, though.

It's a handgun. And he squeezes off a couple of shots at Sagaria's face as he gives chase ...

Serori (37) has posed:
The fuck does the Hulk think he's doing, throwing himself into the middle of an energy beam like that?! Serori, startled by the brute's sheer audacity, nevertheless bears down on him with all her might. Arms and body bracing into a rigid posture, she growls out her frustration, and adds her /rage/ to the power-cannon the Hulk catches mid-air.

In addition to her pride, Serori bears one serious weakness the other saiyans seem to lack. Fast as she is, agile as she is, she just does not have the level of endurance her fellows possess, an unfortunate failing of breeding which is keenly felt at that very moment. Serori can only hold her energy cannon another moment or two before it falters and falls apart, releasing the Hulk into a controlled landing.

Serori needs a breath before she can manage /that/ again.

In an effort to buy herself some time, she flings another series of lower-powered spheres across the sky, letting more devastation rain down around the Hulk as she tries to move to the city's outskirts.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
"One stone, two repulsor beams, asshole," Stark snarls back, spinning in place to put his back to the helicopter and his front to the battlestation. Specifically, the glowing white portal in his own chest that mirrors the ominous charge in the giant metal t-rex torso. As Tarpits III launches its massive onslaught, Iron Man jerks slightly in midair, limbs splayed with flight stabilizers flaring to hold position as its twin unibeam roars out to answer.

The two thick, throbbing shafts of energy strike head on. And what happens when two repulsor blasts meet? Tony knows. So do the contractors who repaired his blown up house that one time. The force beams seem to feed off of each other, building into a swirling maelstrom of twisting, writhing feedback that swells up into a huge knot of power before--

* BOOOOOOOM *

The shockwave exceeds anything yet displayed on this chaotic night, except possibly a certain orbital fuck-cannon. Iron Man is blasted backward, flipping end over end and frantically firing controlled pulses to try to keep his elevation and avoid slamming into the helicopter. The copter itself slides sideways along the roof, rocking on its skids as the lower edge of the shockwave catches it.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
Sagaria was running. And then suddenly there was a spatter of red against her vision, and the erruption of pain and heat through her chin and the side of her throat. Her eyes go wide, and she stumbles, her feet scrabbling against the ground momentarily.

And she skids to a stop, dust rising up!

Serori (37) has posed:
Roko, meanwhile, is given an unexpected /SHOVE/.

Spikes thrust up his tail from behind, propelling him down the volcano's slopes with surprising speed. He actually goes tumbling past and /over/ Toph -- coming close enough she might need to think fast to protect herself. Claws, spikes, and lashing, sinuous body turn into an end-over-end avalanche of anger and fire. He digs in his claws, strives to liquefy and sink into the ground, and otherwise does everything he can manage in order to slow down, but it seems like he might be totally out of control...!

So, he jumps. Arcs, really. Throws his whole body OFF the ground, taking a swan dive into the next section of mountainside. He dives, too -- deep -- wriggling his way down to the volcano's heart almost as quickly as he can go.

    Is he in retreat?

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
With Serori throwing low powered bolts, her anger focused elsehwere, there's the sound of repulsers.

And incoming was a suit of the traditional IRon Man Red and GOld -- the mark XVII Iron Man suit. Its gleaming exterior is scratchless, The suit comes in low and fast along the street levels, eyes turning left and right. A hand coems up, as i listening, pressing lightly against the helmet... and then it picks up on Serori.

Its oversized reactor glows brilliantly, lashing as it hard banks. A fist comes up, coming from behind and below the Saiyan figher before the fist rises up.

And there's no quirky quip, just an angry sounding, staticy 'Rrrahh!' sound, focusing a whole lot of angry energy at the point where the fist would connect with Serori's chin.

No dick jokes here, but a cat fight might be upcoming.

Steve Rogers has posed:
Good, that got Sagaria's attention; Cap continues firing up at her as he recovers his shield, emptying the clip - hoping to keep her from capitalizing while he's retrieving the shield that has served him so well. Once the gun clicks on empty, he shoves it back into the holster and gets his shield strapped properly over his left forearm. "So - following orders, you said? Anyone's beside Genghis Rex? What's so important *here* that's worth a full assault on a civilian institute of higher learning?"

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Rex's laughter echoes over the area as he assumes his unibeam attack will wipe his hated enemy from the face of the Earth, but is suddenly cut short as the swirling maelstrom amasses in front of Tarpits III.

The laugh trails off into an "EH?"

The blast rocks Tarpits III backwards . Being as large and as heavily armor as it is, there is no noticeable damage to the battle station, but inside is a different story, as the battlestation drifts slowly backwards.

"QUACKPOT! GET THOSE REAR STABILIZERS ONLINE!" Rex yells frantically as he flips multiple switches, reviews some lights and turns some nobs.

"Quack! We can't fly this thing with just the two of us! QUAAAAACK!"

Rex roars in frustration "It's all switches, lights and knobs! Just hit them! hit ANYTHING!"

Quackpot covers his eyes and starts pressing buttons blindly.

Tarpits III suddenly drops a torrent of oil from it's underside, down on top of the Tyrannos below!

Styraco radios "What in the name of the great egg is going on up there?!?"

Rex yells, "Nothing! We're fine!"

Styraco radios, "Well, we're not. Plesio is hurt, Sagaria can't hold out much longer! and you're ..."

Tarpits III slams backwards into the Culver Cafteria.

Styraco winces, " about to crash ..."

General Ross pops out of a side door and eyes Ironman with a raised eyebrow, "Stark ... why is my Helicopter not where I left it?"

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Tumble along, you oversized pet you! As Roko draws close Toph throws her right arm up and forward, rising a wall by her to lessen the chances of Roko getting to her. The claws tear into the wall and sends some rocks and fire her way. The rocks are easily dealt with, but the fire? Not so much. Another pained cry, and Toph winces as she kicks the ground, kicking up some earthen dust to help put out the fire. Still, she does whimper a bit as she feels the sting of the brief burns.

Too bad that Roko in the meanwhile manages to stop his wild tumbling ride though by /jumping/, and Toph frowns as she heaves for breath. Is there no stopping that blasted thing?! No! She can't give up now! If she does, then the volcano will blow!

Determined, Toph spreads her arms again, takes a deep breath before she exhales. And then she kicks into the ground, making the ground /shake/ as she moves her arms up and then down to the side, the earth in the ground responding as Toph bends an underground tunnel leading from the ocean and towards Roko.

    Time to cool down!

Serori (37) has posed:
The sound of Pepper's ironclad fist meeting Serori's jaw is a very satisfying mix of startled saiyan yelp, metal scraping, and the dull sound of hard impact. Serori's dense jawbone doesn't break under a single hit, doesn't crack, but she does suffer a badly-split lip and the unfortunate sting of 'what the fuck' levels of shock.

Serori twists around, delivering the kind of roundhouse kick to Pepper's midsection which could dent a mountain. An angry /SNARL/ accompanies the kick, and a blazing rush of yellow ki.

The kick stops short by centimeters.

    "/Potts/?"

Serori squints at the suit, and draws back her leg. She rushes straight backwards several feet.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
Sagaria is n't having a good day. She's shot at, another bullet pierces her hide. And then she pushes herself up. She levels her eyes at Captain America. and she spins her staff. The electricity lights up again, and she leans forward.

She breathes out a sour breath.

"What does it matter. I have my orders. You have yours, don't you? Stop my kind at any cost. Which is why you areusing lethal force against someone with nominally leathal weapons."

    And Sagaria spits.

"UGly little creatures. Inside and out. /Mammals." she grows with disdain, spitting blood again.

Serori (37) has posed:
The threat of drowning convinces Roko to hightail it. Though Toph is able to open a small tunnel connecting his temporary 'lair' to the surrounding oceans, the first taste of saltwater gets him moving. Not only does he move up, but he moves /in/, too, seeking the hottest places where Toph's earthbending is less effective. He moves so deep, so far, that she'll no doubt lose track of him -- her senses are great, but not even she can sense through miles of stone and lava networks.

The confrontation seemingly ends with Roko sent into hiding.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
"You know how military funding goes, General. Always reallocating things," Tony replies, audibly panting for breath as he recovers equilibrium and drops with a metallic thunk onto the rooftop. He strides to the edge, winces behind the mask as the battlestation crashes into the cafeteria building. Well, better that than some.

He observes the spitting and insulting below, and casually fires a repulsor blast into the ground just to Sagaria's right hand side. "Hey," he calls down snarkily. "Captain America is considered a /very handsome man./ You take that back."

Bruce Banner (295) has posed:
From his vantage point on the ground, Hulk sees the energy balls careening toward the city. As he prepares for action, a befuddled look crosses his face a moment as he sees the suit fly up, its occupant punching the angry girl right in the jaw. And then, a smirk and "Hmmph" are produced by the green giant.

Quickly, the Big Guy reaches down and snatches in each hand a section of railway from the train tracks at his feet. Like a javelin champion, he rolls his shoulder back and launches the long section of railway iron from his right hand into the air. At the angle he releases it, the rail impacts and spears numerous energy bursts. While the gesture certainly does not catch ALL of the burts, it allows most of the less devasating ones impact on the ground and various abandned buildings.

With a quick squat thrust, Hulk LEAPS into the air and, drawing back the other rail like a baseball bat, attempts to kncok the Saiyan to the outskirts of town, if not further. "HULK SMASH! YOU MESS WITH ONE, YOU MESS WITH //ALL!!!!//
%

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
Whether it is Potts in the suit or not, the frowning face of Iron Ma n is there, glowering at Serori.

And then it turns, shooting off and down the way. No dramatic opening of the mask to reveal who it was.

.... somewhat because being seen from the nose up wasn't at all intimidating. These suits weren't built for people who typically wore heels.

And she has more pressing business -- some of the blasts had landed in her mother's neighboorhood. There were people who needed help.

THere were people who needed a Rescue.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
It does take a lot out of Toph to bend the tunnel and keep it up with Roko. When the salt water hits the beast and he moves in, the blind earthbender does mentally prepare for another strike. But it seems like the strike isn't coming? Does this mean... she did it?

Still breathing hard from exhaustion and pain as sweat covers her aching skin and burns, Toph fights the urge to just flop down. Sure, she can't sense that overgrown fire lizard anywhere, which means that he's retreated far away... but there's still work to be done here. Raising her arms again, Toph slowly begins working on bending the tunnel bigger, which might take some while. But the cool water might help chill the volcano further while she works on stabilizing the earth and bend a deep ditch to lead any lava away from the human settlements.

It will take a while though, considering she should probably head back to medical. But that has to wait.

Steve Rogers has posed:
"Who said anything about 'your kind'?" Cap responds, outwardly unruffled. Probably inwardly as well. "I hear about an attack and come here to lend a hand defending; I see a handful of Tyrannos - several of whom are known Confederate Elites, and you haven't demonstrated you're not with them - wreaking havoc and trying to break into the University for God knows what reason. As for using lethal force, I didn't have time to use gentler options. But if you're stopping and listening now, I'll give you that chance: turn around and leave, no more harm done to anybody here. You do that, I let you go. You don't, I play as rough as I have to."

And while he's a little too diplomatic to put it in these terms, he still thinks of the Tyrannos - if not the Confederacy as a whole - as a bunch of bullies. For now, he stands his ground, watching Sagaria, ready to defend himself or others as the need presents itself.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
Styraco Runs over and puts Plesio over his shoulder, "Ankylo! We're getting out of here! Sagaria! Withdraw!"

Brachio swings around, "AWWW! I wanna piece of Stark! Lookit what he did to my ship!"

Rex manages to get Tarpits III stable. "Brachio, another time. We need you in here!"

Rex glares at the screen, at Stark and shakes a fist at him, "Tyrannos retreat!"

Ross tips his hat to Tony Stark but doesn't wait for any sort of response. He steps quickly, carrying a metal briefcase handcuffed to his wrist. In seconds, the helicopter is airborne and headed toward Washington DC.

Serori (37) has posed:
Abandoned buildings, in downtown Greenwich? The Hulk can redirect the attacks toward what he /thinks/ make safer targets -- businesses intead of homes, maybe, or anything that isn't a hospital or a school -- but Serori's wreckage isn't the kind to be avoided through timely evacuations or mistranslations of the script. She wanted a bodycount, and she's getting it.

One of those bodies is /not/ going to be her own.

The Hulk leaps at Serori, a terrifying mountain of muscle and vengeance. His roar echoes above the smoldering ruins, but it's not exactly the sound of a hero -- it's pure wrath. Serori twists around too late. Iron Potts had been too much of a distraction, taking her eyes off the area's real threat. A stupid mistake. A costly mistake.

The stretch of rail in the Hulk's meaty fists strikes Serori to the ground like a bunker bustin' missile. Bones shatter at the impact, and internal organs shriek in agony. Serori hits the pavement and opens it up into a massive crater.

No doubt, the Hulk is right on her tail. Serori peels herself off the ground and throws herself into an awkward forward lunge. She stumbles to the crater's edge, falls to her knees, gasps for broken breath...

    Fuck.

Two fingers thrust against her forehead. She closes her eyes to concentrate. Just as the Hulk hits the ground behind her, she vanishes in a blur.

Sagaria (203) has posed:
Sagaria was abotu to speak, bloodied as she was.

ANd then she turns her head at the command. Bird-like, she tilts her head, then turns, and makes her way to return to the Tyranno ship.

"Perhaps sometime, Captain America, we could speak on better terms." She states cooly, but she withdraws without more action, and nary a word to the Star Spangled Avenger.

Tony Stark (301) has posed:
Oh thank god, the dinos are leaving. Tony would slump in exhausted relief if the suit weren't bracing him up. As it is, he manages to look cocky by lifting a hand to wave good-bye to them. "Cap," he calls down, "need you to supervise the cleanup here. I have to get to Connecticut and dig out my in-laws." Pepper is sending him some very confusing radio messages.

Steve Rogers has posed:
Cap 'salutes' Iron Man briefly, looking up and nodding, and goes to meet up with whoever was in charge here.

Genghis Rex (114) has posed:
With all of the Tyrannos at their posts, they are able to regain control of Tarpits III and lift off, making a quick exit.
