Registration Day!=Kari turns 2!
Date of Scene: 23 August 2015
Location: Techno Urbania
Synopsis: Kari's 'birthday' party.
Cast of Characters: 276, 279

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
It was unknown how many people would arrive at the party, but Kari didn't expect many since people tended to be busy. So Zarenna allowed Kari to have the Registration Day party in the condo. Both Kari and her larger sister Harriet have cleaned the place spotlessly. There is a small chocolate cake with strawberry frosting (because Kari thinks people like chocolate cake the best), some mint ice cream safely in the freezer, and a few cards and little gifts from people in the building.
Kari waits by the door for people, humming some pop song or another with an infectious melody. Harriett is reading a book.
"Maybe people forgot?" Kari says nervously.
"Did you remember send out the invitations?" Harriett says to her sister.
Kari glances at the stack of invitations next to her. "Oh, I knew I forgot something."

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
Maxine still managed to hear about the party somehow despite Kari forgetting to send out many of the invitations. Even if Kari's with the Confederacy, she's chatted before with the shinki without many problems. Plus, she figures it would be a good idea to take a break from the lab. It's certainly been hectic with the back to school sales going on. She figures they can handle things without for a few hours.

Maxine arrives outside the condo carrying a small wrapped box. She rings the doorbell and waits patiently for someone to answer it.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari gets excited when the doorbell rings, hopping down off the counter and bouncing over to the door, where she presses the little button that lets the shinki open the door.
She looks up at Maxine, sans her armor today. "Hi!" She looks confused a moment as she tries to remember who the guest is. "Um... I think you're Maxine, right? Are you here for my Registration Day party?"

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
Maxine smiles as she looks down and sees tiny robot, "Hello again Kari, I haven't see you in a while. Yes, that would be correct on both accounts." She nods in agreement. The scientist makes sure Kari's out of the way before she steps inside, "Where should I put my gift? She looks around and doesn't see anyone else beside the two of them and Harriet, "Did I arrive too early?"

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Harriet glances. "Kari got too excited about planning what she wanted to do with the party and forgot to send out the invitations." That said, the taller augmented shinki gets up and offers Maxine one of the juices Kari has selected for the guests.
Kari looks really sheepish. "Um... yeah. I forgot. But thanks for coming! The gifts are over there." She points towards a section of the countertop where a little handmade (presumably by Kari) sign says 'Welcome guests!' with a few cards and tiny packages sit.
"Do you want a piece of cake, Ms. Maxine?" Kari asks eagerly.

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
Maxine tries not to giggle a bit at that, "Well, hopefully a few others make as well at least. Maxine will be fine." She carefully sets the gift down with the others. "Yes, please. Who's your friend, Kari?" She hasn't met Harriet before after all.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari erms. "It's impossible for me to not address humans and people like them without mister or miss, Ms. Maxine. It's how I am!" If she could blush she would be doing so.
Harriet hrms? "I'm not her friend, I'm her sister." she explains.
Kari starts explaining enthusiastically. "Harriet is an awesome and cool sister who can bounce off walls and has a robot rabbit-"
Harriet interjects "It's a hare." but Kari doesn't seem to notice.
"And has machine gun laser and swords! Master built her with Mister Taro's help!"
Harriet bows politely to Maxine, thoroughly embarassed by her older sister.

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
Maxine grins as she hears Kari go on about Harriet. "I'm glad to hear to you two get along so well. Family is important after all. A robot hare, that sounds both cute and dangerous. I suppose that could be said of much of the Multiverse." She knows the Shinki can fight quite well so she's certainly not going brush them off. Still, a part of Maxine finds the tiny robot girls to be adorable.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Harriet sighs. "It's a drone I control." she explains to Maxine.
"And the rab- HARE turns into Harriet's armor!" Kari says. Isn't it usually the little sisters that gush about their older sisters? Kari suddenly blinks and stops. "Oh... did you want some cake?" She says to Maxine, pointing to the little pink cake with slices of strawberries on top. "Master baked it, I did the frosting, and Harriet sliced all the strawberries."

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"Animals that turn into armor? That might sell as a toy too." It's impossible for Maxine to complete to take her mind completely off work. "Though not combat functionable, of course." She's not about to give innocent kids access to weapons. "Yes, please. That sounds delicious." She does like strawberries after all.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Harriet calmly slices Maxine a slice of the cake, which is revealed to have a rich brownie-like chocolate interior. "It's because I'm twice again as big as a shinki. Storing the armor in the Slipway would be too inefficient and consume a lot of power. So Master and Taro built my drone to become the armor." The hare is on the counter as well, nudging the red plastic cup of utensils towards Harriet.
In a splash of light, Kari has put her armor on and joined Harriet up on the kitchen's island counter, separating one of the paper plates from the stack so Harriet can put it on something.
"Harriet's bigger and stronger, so she can cut the cake and move it a lot easier than me!" Kari says.
"Isn't it normally the younger sister that worships the older one?" Harriet says with exasperation, carefully putting the wedge of cake on the paper plate. Kari pulls a fork out from the utensile cup and triumphantly sticks it in the top of the cake slice.
"We also have mint ice cream." Kari says, seeming to ignore her sister.

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"I don't want to trouble you too much, I could have cut the cake myself." Maxine figures she would have a much easier time with the cake then either of them. She takes the cake from Kari gratefully and takes a bite, "You all did a wonderful job on it. What does the armor use as a power source?" She can't help but to be a bit curious about that now.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari ohs. "They're batteries! Like what's in Harriet and me and my drones. None of us use the normal shinki batteries though."
Harriet regards Maxine curiously. "Kari has a second armor that uses more power and my own systems use things that a normal battery wouldn't be sufficient for."
Kari realizes something and looks at Maxine curiously. "Do you work with robots, Ms. Maxine?"

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"Yes, I'm a roboticist for Fundroids, it's a toy company." Maxine confirms Kari's question as she takes another bite of the cake. "Of course it never hurts to familiarize myself with other kinds of robots in the Multiverse. Yes, a battery designed for a shinki certainly wouldn't work for someone who's larger. You would drain a normal battery quite fast."

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari oooohs. "Are Fundroids like Shinki?" She asks, an inquisitive expression on her face.

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"Fundroids usually aren't designed for combat and come in a wider variety of sizes than Shinki. We have a seperate division that handles robots designed for battle But yes, there are Fundroids that are roughly the size of Shinki." Maxine smiles as she sees Kari's reaction.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari ohs. "Do they think like shinki? I mean... are they people once they get turned on?"
Harriet, remembering that Kari seems to think the toaster is her best friend, says, "Maybe you should open Maxine's present before she has to go, Kari."

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"Well, most of them have a limited degree of self-awareness. The government wouldn't let us sell them otherwise. Though there are Fundroids that have became self-aware on their own like Annie. I support robot rights of course, but I rather not cause too much legal troube either." Maxine sighs a bit as she says that. She knows what she can do without breaking the law is limited.

Once Kari opens the small box, there's a small device she can stand on, "It's a special device that can let Fundroids link up with certain video games. I've modified so it should work with Shinki as well. I hope you enjoy it." She adjusts her glasses a bit as she waits for Kari's reaction.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari scratches her head and opens up the instructions to read it a bit since she doesn't /quite/ get what the device is for. "So it's a little like the testing station Master put my CMS in when she was rebuilding my body... Only with no math! I'll have to find some of these games then and then play them! Turbo Trucks and Tanks looks fun." She beams.

Maxine Sandberg (279) has posed:
"I hope you have fun with it. Rebuilding your body? That sounds painful. I know the feeling. I mean I'm not a robot but I can sympthize." Maxine cringes a bit as she's reminded of her own injuries. "Yes, I should be going soon but thank you for the invite. It was a pleasure seeing you again Kari, and meeting you Harriet. Hopefully, we can get together again sometime." She could stand to socalize outside of work more.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari waves to Maxine and says cheerily "Thanks for coming Ms. Maxine! Thank you for the present too!"
Harriet bows politely to their departing guest and is much quieter. "I hope you enjoyed your visit, Maxine."
