Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
Today's arena is the Northern Mountains! A great ring of mountains surrounding a city, with floating platforms all over the place. Brought to you by Capsule Corps (namely, at least, one assumes), these platforms are, much higher up, spectator stands, but closer to the mountains, they're basically platforms to stand on, spaced so that fights could play a platforming game here if they can't fly.

It's on one of those platforms that KREZENTIA EINJAGER is standing, stretching, adjusting her shirt and jacket for the wind. It's not TOO cold on the level they're on, about halfway up the mountain, but she knows if they start flying around it'll get hella cold hella fast. Her fashion might be an affront to a certain commentator though; that purple shirt, black jacket and black cargo pants are so typical and street bum fashion that there's almost no excuse not to find something better to wear.

The baseball cap on her head is slid backwards, a golden metallic crossed pinned to it.

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
Speaking of flying, Fate Harlaown enters that way, descending from the skies above. She's already in her Barrier Jacket's Sonic Form, with Bardiche Zanber held easily in one hand, despite the size of the sword. She doesn't seem at all bothered by the cold, though that's likely due to the magic of her Barrier Jacket.

Armored boots touch down on a platform, and she inclines her head to the other blonde with red eyes. Even if her opponent is wearing casual clothes, Fate knows better than to underestimate her. "Good luck on the match," she offers with a warm smile.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Once again, in an enclosed booth with an amazing view of the fight, is Tomoyo! After a quick check that all the monitors are running normally, she leans in to her microphone, her voice broadcasting both across the mountains and across the Multiverse!

"<Hello everyone! This is Tomoyo Daidouji, coming to you live from the Northern Mountains, for another exciting qualifier match! Joining me, once again, is Takashi Yamazaki~>"

And indeed, the young man with the tongue of one thousand falsehoods chips in! ">Thank you Tomoyo. This will no doubt be an incredible clash of power and wills. And it looks like both competitors have arrived! Standing on the platform is the 9.8m/s-squared Hunter, Krezentia Einjager! By manipulating her own personal density, she can alter how gravity functions. But now, coming in with no regards to gravity is Fate T. Harlaown, the Matronly Copper. With only a slightly disapproving look, she can make even the most hardened criminal feel guilt!<"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"Yeah, good luck," Krezentia answers, searching her pockets until she produces a-- one foot tall fairy. Kopie whines, yawns, and then protests, the tiny purple girl evidently unhappy.

"I was asleep, funya~! You could have let me."
"Hey, sleep somewhere other than my jacket. 'sides, we're starting."
"Huh? You want to use me this time, funya~?"
"Eh. Can't hurt. You just stay away otherwise, I lose my jacket every other fight anyway. You'd get hit and then you'd never let me hear the end of it."

The Magi turns her glance upwards towards one of the spectator booths, tuning her radio to the commentary band, but returns her glance to Fate afterwards.

A Lakitu flies down, with traffic lights at the end of a fishing pole. They count down! BOOP. BOOP. BEEP.

    And off it flies!

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
That fairy is given a brief look and a friendly nod as well. "Will she be participating also?" Fate certainly doesn't mind, but it's helpful to know. She looks up toward the commentary box and blinks several times. That's... not a title she's ever been given before. "I think I definitely prefer Golden Flash," she murmurs softly, but lets it pass for now.

Shifting her grip on her sword, the Enforcer points it briefly toward her opponent. "Here I come, then." A small cloud of dust is left in her wake as she darts forward, swinging the large energy blade... but doesn't really get close to Krezentia. Not that she has to, as a crescent of energy is left in the wake of the sword's motion, flying through the air toward the taller blonde.

~Zanber Saber~

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Mister Lakitu gives us the countdown... and the battle begins!>"
">And the 'Not-Mad-Just-Disappointed Queen' takes the initiative! Charging towards her opponent, she swings her blade to create a cutting projectile!<"
"<Queen certainly is a fitting title. That Barrier Jacket looks wonderful on her~ And such an elegant attack name, the 'Zanber Sabre' too!">"
">Fun fact listeners! 'Zanber' is actually German for 'Sabre.' Since the attack creates a new blade, I think calling it 'Sabre Sabre' is quite fitting, don't you?<"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"She's my familiar, so, something like that," Krezentia answers, to which Kopie puffs her cheeks up a bit and argues.
    "Fairy, funya~! FAIRY!"
    "Whatever."

With Fate keeping herself at range, the Magi hadn't quite expected the shockwave; her hands flare with purple and green light, and she produces twin blades of pure mana, with which she attempts (and fails) to block the incoming shockwave, clipping her shoulder. She notes the lack of BLEEDING, despite what could have probably lopped her arm off with a slightly more direct hit.

Huh. Still hurts like it did. And it cut her jacket.

"Neat trick. Reminds me of some punk-ass kid. Red-head, used a spear, cut my fucking ponytail off. I kept the style, but that pissed me the hell off at the time. His spear talked too, come to think of it."

Oh, the coincidence is right there.

Standing her ground on her platform, the Magi hands crush her blades, converting them back into raw energy, which she hurls at Fate in a one-two. "Falschesgewehr!"

Semi-charged buster blasts aren't all that threatening, more of a blunt impact and bruise hazard than anything.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Krezentia doesn't quite manage to block the magic blade, but it doesn't cut her! Is Fate holding back, or showing mercy? It certainly looks like it hurt her, at least!>"
">But it's not slowed her down at all. Now she's retaliating with a two blasts, preceded with German incantation. I believe that it translates to 'One-Two Punch.' I suppose Miss Einjager has a boxing background!<"
"<I can believe it, especially with such casual wear~ It very much suits her though!"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
"I see..." Fate giggles softly at Kopie's reaction, though. "She certainly is a cute fairy, though." Just because they're fighting doesn't mean Fate can't be nice.

"Red hair?" The coincidence is too much. Red hair, talking spear, similar magic. She has to ask. "Was his name Erio, by chance?"

As the two blasts come in, Fate begins evasive maneuvers. She quickly twirls around one of them, the shot just barely nicking her shoulder. The other strikes a bit harder on her chest, but doesn't manage to break through the protective magic of the Barrier Jacket. It does leave a mark, though, and hits hard enough to make the Mage stumble back a few steps. "Let's keep testing her abilities. Bardi<span class=" bold_fg_y bg_n ++ he?"

~chy">Yes, Sir. Plasma Lancer, Get Set.~

A pair of crackling balls of lightning magic appear in the air in front of Fate, and she extends her free hand forward. "Fire!" As one, the two extend into arrowhead shapes and fly toward Krezentia, exploding on contact with whatever they hit.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<The two blasts only glance Fate, but Krezentia has made her statement, she's not scared of those laser blades one bit!>"
">And it looks like she intends to return the dual shot with one of her own, two lightning arrows flying towards the Gravity Boxer! Will the elemental shots strike truer than the punchlasers?<"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"Yeah, actually. Erio somethingoranother. His girlfriend had pink hair and a whelp following her everywhere," Krezentia answers. It'd been a while since she'd seen either; she was never on 'bad' terms with Caro so to speak, though Erio was another matter.

Of the two incoming blasts, one smacks into Krezentia's chest, causing her to take a step back. The other is intercepted by Kopie, who sparks with her own purple lightning as it does.

"Her lightning magic is really good, Krez, funya~!"
    "Yeah? What do I care?"
"I won't be able to take hits bigger than those, funya~!"
"Sure. C'mon, return the favor. Go!"

The little fairy suddenly glows bright purple, obscuring her features behind the intense light. This isn't going to die down anytime soon; when in combat she tends to look more like a miniature purple sun than a fairy. Electricity gathers up around her, matching her color, and suddenly fires out as a single, large lightning bolt towards Fate!

"Kopiesturm!" she yells, her vocal tic absent.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<One lightning bolt finds the mark! But the other is absorbed by Krezentia's familiar! Oh my goodness, such touching loyalty... it almost brings a tear to your commentator's eye folks!"
">Best wipe it away Tomoyo, because that fairy is not down yet! It's glowing bright... and blasting a lightning bolt right back at the 'Freeze-Or-No-Dessert' Lawlady!<"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
"I hope he wasn't rude to you." There's something in the tone of Fate's voice as she asks that... if the answer is yes, she may have to have Words later on. "My children," says Fate with a fond smile, though she certainly doesn't look old enough to be the parent of young teenagers. But who can tell?

"Your fairy can use lightning magic." The Enforcer smiles, giving the familiar a measuring look. But as the fairy begins to charge up power, Fate immediately prepares her defense. The lightning bolt flies toward her... but she doesn't dodge. Instead, she holds Bardiche up, letting the glowing yellow blade act as a lightning rod. Sparks fly from the giant sword, mixing purple with yellow, as Fate sets her jaw firmly. "That... is an impressive attack." Leaning forward, she swings the blade, and a similar bolt of lightning flies right back. Kopie may even recognize it as the exact same magic, wrapped in a bit of Fate's own to guide it on its way!

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Oh dear... the fairy did her best for her master, but Fate was clearly too prepared in dealing with her own element. Raising her weapon to act as a lightning rod, she completely nullifies the attack, and sends it right back!>"
">Speaking of lighting rods, did you know they were originally intended to scare lightning away from areas? In the old days, tall, grim towers were thought to be too intimidating for lightning to strike near.<"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
    "You're their MOTHER?"

Krezentia frowns, and it turns to outright anger when Kopie's lightning bolt is shot right back, and knocking into the Magi (because her fairy knows better than to take the hit), throws her back and off the platform-- well, not entirely off. A purple wormhole opens where she'd fall, and a second one appears over another platform, up and behind Fate.

The Magi hits the ground (well, metal platform) there instead of falling to the mountain bases below, taking a moment to get back up and rumble angrily. She's scorched all around, and now her hair is all messed up.

    "KOPIE! YOU USELESS PIECE OF--"
The fairy, now rather far, just sticks her tongue out.

"Whatever! Yes, your kids were rude as fuck! Your boy cut off my hair, god damnit! I LIKED the giant-ass ponytail!" So did her fairy, for hiding purposes, for that matter!

A bright aqua spell circle wraps over the Magi, turning her hair, eyes and purple shirt aqua instead. Hand extended, she suddenly produces a number of watery bolts. "Changing States!" And fires them. And she does not stop. It's a constant machinegunning of water bolts, which alone aren't too bad, but repeated hits could tear skin off. Never take water lightly as a weapon!

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Krezentia takes the redirected bolt full on! Shes falling... oh! She opens a wormhole in midair, landing behind Fate! Ooohhh, and it sounds like the match is becoming personal now! Krezentia seems to have had a run-in with Fate's children in the past, and is still sore about it.>"
">Never mess with a ladies hair folks. It's not funny in the schoolyard, and it never gets any funnier. The evidence is right before us, as the Universal Force Outfighter seems to shift, clothes going from purple to blue... and now she's striking with blasts of water!<"
    "<Ooohhh, and it's a good shade for her too, a lovely aqua~">

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
"I am," admits the Mage with a nod. Fate pauses as her opponent begins yelling at her fairy, but... that might be something she shouldn't step in the middle of right now. But since the yelling alerts Fate to where Krezentia is, she spins around. "I'll have a word with them. They're usually very polite, you know." Fate may be biased, but she also wouldn't stand for her children and students to act improperly! "At the least, I apologize about your hair." Considering Fate has hair down to nearly her ankles, she can only imagine how that must feel.

The color change draws her attention, and Fate soon learns exactly what it means. While she can usually shrug off lightning magic if she's prepared for it, other elements are a bit harder. She manages to deflect a few of the blasts of water, but several hit her with surprising force, knocking her right off her feet! A few more blasts strike even before she lands on the platform, blowing her right over the side.

Well, it's a good thing she can fly, at least, and fly she does! Fate soars up from a different side of the platform, just barely clearing the edge before brandishing her Device. "I'd like to think we can keep this from becoming personal..." Her gaze hardens just slightly, and she suddenly darts forward, charging right at Krezentia with blinding speed. Once she's close enough, she swings Bardiche Zanber, leaving an arc of energy in its wake. Unlike a solid sword, it won't really cut flesh, and will probably pass right through, but there's still quite a lot of force in that swing, and the blade itself is crackling with magical energy.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<It sounds like Fate is trying to smooth things over... if her kids are watching or listening at home, they might be in for it now~>"
">Those blasts of water strike true, knocking Fate off the platform, but now she's using her own Aerial Swimming to save herself. Let's see if bringing real water into it will help or hinder her 3D manoeuvres!<"
"<With a stern look only a mother could have, she rushes at Krezentia, swinging her Bardiche viciously! Is she aiming to draw blood this time?!>"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"Oh, it's personal now. You're just lucky the rules forbid me from escalating PAST that!" Krezentia retorts, obviously angry. Another spell circle, this one fiery orange, red and yellow, 'flame' colored rather than any specific color, changes all of her features to fiery red and orange traits, and burning magma and mana form into a large, two-handed mace in her hands. The weapon looks more like it's made of still active magma than any metal.

    "SULFURAS!"

She swings it as strong as she can for the incoming giant sword, but lacks the strength that Fate possesses. It's not difficult to overpower her and cut through, causing intense pain without the wounds that would normally come from it. The Magi falls back, grunting.

"'sides, that was a few years ago now. Grudge is old as fuck. Maybe I can put it aside after I take it out on you, since both of 'em have better shit to do nowadays I bet."

She rises, pointing the hammer at Fate.

    "By fire be PURGED!"

The hammer shatters in her hands, and a gush of fire bursts out of the ground far, far below the fighters. Unfortunately they're too high for Fate to be caught in the fiery plume outright, but its edges might give her a good licking.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<It doesn't look like Krezentia is one to let it go! She is-quite literally-hot-headed, as she shifts from blue to red! Now I see why she wears so much black, it doesn't clash with any color really~>"
">She summons a mace and swings to clash with the 'No-Trial-Until-You-Do-Your-Homework' Duchess! Maces were actually the original swordbreakers... but this one is not up to the task, and Fate's swing connects. Once again, no blood, but the Stance-Shifting Queen of the Ring seems to have felt it!<"
"<She points the hammer now... and fire and brimstone erupt from the earth far below, leaping up to lash at Fate! Is there any aspect of nature that Krezentia can't control? Stay tuned and perhaps we'll find out!>"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
A very, very faint frown comes to Fate's lips.

Those who know her well know that this is not a good expression.

Fate swings against that mace, putting quite a bit of strength into her swing... and squickly brings up her blae defensively in case Krezentia plans to make use of that mace again while they're so close. "Mmm. It's not good to let old grudges fester like that." The Enforcer slowly shakes her head, but she's interrupted by a soft chime from her Device. Her gaze flicks downward, and when the plume of fire explodes from the ground, Fate is just... not there anymore.

It's next to impossible to track her movement, and it almost looks as though she teleported... but she just flew that fast, faster than the naked eye can see. She faces into clear view a short distance above the platform, one hand extended and a magic circle forming in the air in front of her. "If you're going to try to resurrect an old grudge, then perhaps I should try to cool your head a bit." Crackling energy forms around her hand, which she shoves forward into the magic circle. At the instant of contact, the energy fires off as a beam, easily as wide as Fate is tall.

~Plasma Smasher~

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<It sounds like Krezentia is getting some motherly advice on the battlefield from Fate! But has this left her open to the geyser of fla-where did she go?!>"
">Ah, there she is! A principle of Air Swimming was applied here folks, known as 'Aerial Riptide!' A technique that brings to mind someone swimming with a fast current, allowing for incredible speed!<"
"<And now she seems to be bringing out the big spells, a magic circle is forming! She strikes it with both hands, and a beam of lightning flies out, as tall as Fate herself!>"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
Fast is an understatement. That's absurd speed.

The Magi's mind snaps into work as quickly as it can-- the math is all right there, she just needs to process it. A large purple wormhole pops open in front of her, and the beam smashes into it. Along the edges, some parts of the beam pass and cut through, scorching Krezentia lightly but considering the hits so far, somewhat trivially. The wormhole closes, finally, and the blonde (well, OTHER blonde) grins.

"Is it? I LOVE bad things. Everytime someone tells me something is a bad thing, I just GUN FOR IT. Old grudges are what keeps you awake at night! They're what turns a match into a GRUDGE MATCH. And then you have REAL entertainment!"

As her features return to normal, that is, blonde hair, purple shirt, red eyes, the Magi snaps her fingers, and a new purple hole opens next to Fate-- and then another, and another, and another. "Maybe YOU should cool down, old mama! WORM SMASHER!"

On cue, Fate's attack emerges from each of the wormholes, as if multiplied. It's more split than multiplied, but the angles are going to add in the crushing pressure of being at the center of multiple smaller beams to the damage.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Krezentia opens up another wormhole and has it swallow the whole beam! It sounds like she's talking... oh my~ Everyone, this qualifier has now become a clash of ideals~ The defender of justice, Fate T. Harlaown vs. the gleeful evildoer Krezentia Einjager!>"
">Beowulf vs. Grendel, Arthur vs. Mordred, Allies vs. Axis... history is filled with moments like these, and we are watching another page in the clash of Good vs. Evil! Don't touch that dial folks, I think this story has yet to reach the climax!<"
"<Oh! And now it's Krezentia's turn to redirect the attack, Fate's beam having been split and erupting out of multiple wormholes, all aimed at her!>"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
That opening... whatever it was, it seems to have absorbed the damage of her blast quite easily. One thing about the Multiverse is being exposed to new and different kinds of magic all the time, and this one was.... similar to something Fate had seen before, but different enough to make it hard to predict what was to come next.

Besides, her opponent's words... irk her. "I... see. If you believe that there must be a grudge for a good match, then I'm afraid you're sorely mistaken." The portal opens right next to her, and Fate turns to look at it... then her eyes widen as she sees several others as well. "--old mama?" She hesitates, just for a moment, and it nearly costs her. At the last second, however, she vanishes again, only just barely singed by one of the blasts pointed back at her. "I'll have you know I'm only twenty--" An explosion sounds as one of the blasts strikes the ground, momentarily drowning the Mage out. "--years old!" She's not... -terribly- bothered, but really.

Darting downward, she shifts the sword in her hand, swinging it almost like a golf club. Rather than trying to slash at Krezentia, her intent is to strike with the flat of the blade, hopefully with enough force to knock her opponent off her feet!

"Bardiche, Riot Blade." A chime sounds, and the blade of her sword shimmers and shifts, growing narrower. As Fate spreads her hands, each of them now holds a sword, connected with a glowing tether at the handle. ~Riot Zanber Stinger~

Bringing both blades together, Fate darts upward, slashing first left, then right, in a follow-up attack to the initial strike.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Oh dear, it seems that Krezentia's taunting is starting to wear at Fate's patience! She almost let her age slip even, but an explosion kept that crucial second digit secret~>"
">Never tease a lady about her age everyone, believe me. But now the 'If-You-Can't-Do-The-Time-Don't-Break-Curfew' Princess is closing the gap once more, swinging with the flat of the blade!<"
"<And now her Bardiche has split into two blades, which Fate swings in a vicious-looking cross slash! I think she's ready to put this match to rest everyone!>"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"That makes you like twice as old as when MY mother made me," Krezentia retorts, without context. It wouldn't take Fate much digging to find Iris Sepperin's file, really, and it's best summarized as 'tiny little girl Dr. Wily with god-like powers', so that'll make sense later, if she bothers to look!

It's through sheer luck that the Magi manages to take a step back and NOT get utterly mauled by the initial blow, but Fate's follow-ups are too quick. Krezentia's colors change, hair and shirt taking a sort of brown, caramel color, not too unlike Nanoha's hair actually, while her eyes turn a lighter shade of that. Twin blades appear in her hands, one white, one black. She uses them to attempt a parry on each incoming strike, but the durability of the copied weapons doesn't hold, and they break like glass in her hands. Fate's blades cut through, sections of the Magi's jacket and shirt ripped and cut off.

Falling onto the platform she's on, lying on her back, her grin returns to an angry frown. "Please, like I can't tell you're trying to keep a cool face so that people who watch don't think 'oh dear, I didn't know she could be that angry'. Don't want your kids to have mother issues?"

Her shirt and hair switch to black, with red hexagons here and there. Her eyes turn bright red, and her fingers pulse with magic, which gathers for a few seconds before being unleashed point blank (assuming Fate hasn't backed away after knocking the Magi on her ass).

    "NEUROI LASER!"

A storm of thin, red lasers erupts towards Fate-- they make rapid, 90 degree bends every once in a while, each streak of red light trying to hit her multiple times with scorching and piercing heat. And her own idea of being petty is a large chunk of those aiming for the mother's hair.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Krezentia tries to dodge! And parry Fate's swings with conjured blades of her own! But the older woman seems to have the advantage in close-quarters, those twin blades shattering before her own!>"
">But she's still fighting and still talking, her taunts not stopping for an instant. I can respect that kind of gift for gab, but I don't think Fate feels the same.<"
"<And now Krezentia launches a counterattack in the form of myriad red lasers that dance through the sky, making impossible turns to converge on her opponent!>"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
Made, not had. Fate's eyes widen just slightly as she hears that. Well, it would have been a different sort of surprise if Krezentia's mother had her at that age, but still... "We're not so different, I think...."

Even as her blades shatter the other swords, Fate focuses her attention on her opponent's face. "You're mistaken, I believe. My children have seen what I'm like when I'm angry." A soft smile comes to her face. "You think this is just a facade, but you're seeing who I am. While I may not like your attitude, I won't hate you for it." There is a reason why her Ace nickname has become the Warm-Hearted Golden Flash, even with her record for bringing in criminals.

Black and red... That seems somewhat familiar, though. Almost as if... "Neuroi..." Fate is moving, but her speed -isn't- teleportation, and while she does manage to evade quite a few of those lasers, there just isn't anywhere to dodge -to-, and quite a few of them strike her directly, burning skin and singing small holes in her Barrier Jacket. It does offer protection, but Sonic Form was not meant to soak very much. While some strands of hair are singed, it seems that the same magic barrier keeping her body safe also extends there. A few errand blasts do burn through the hair ties, leaving her long hair flowing freely rather than tied up.

As soon as the barrage of lasers subsides, Fate moves in again. Magical energy begins charging over the gauntlet on her left hand, glowing a bright yellow. A few sparks make their way up into the sword in that hand, and the Enforcer lifts it high as she approaches...

...but rather than slashing, she releases the sword, yanking it back to join its twin in her right hand. The left curls into a fist and launches into an uppercut, pouring the stored magical lightning out on Plasma Arm~

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<It sounds like Fate is continuing to rebuff Krezentia's taunts and accusations of having a darker nature. Truly she has the deep patience that only motherhood can bring~>"
">It's just a shame that motherhood doesn't bring intangibility because there is no room to dodge all those lasers! Although past warlike cultures would condition their warriors to completely ignore pregnant woman out of respect for their enemies.<"
"<And once again, Fate goes to close the distance, I think she's realized she has the advantage at close-range! Her gauntlet crackles with power, is she going to channel it into her blade? No! She recombines her Bardiche and just punches with it! Is this fight going to devolve into a brawl now?!>"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
That commentary is juicy, Krezentia would admit, if she had time to. Between Fate's speed and needing to pick herself up, the Magi only has limited time to answer, time she pads with taunting back as much as she can.

"PLEASE! Everyone secretly hates at least ONE person. You know, I tried to kill Erio a couple times. One time, I jumped into a nuclear reactor and overloaded it from the inside, and he was right outside the room watching through the window."

The Magi prepares to defend from another wave of slashes, hands suddenly producing those mana blades again-- but she's thrown off-guard by the maneuver and socked solidly by Fate's fist, right off the platform. 'Made' or not, that's definitely a bit of blood on Fate's hand. It's a bit oily and fake, but then again the mage would be familiar with the lengths some people will go to to make realistic androids, cyborgs or machines in general.

Crashing onto a platform below, paining herself back onto her feet, Krezentia mumbles, and Kopie continues watching uselessly in the sidelines. "Ugh. Kopie, god damnit, make yourself useful."

Another spell circle, and Krezentia's hair and shirt turn pink, and her eyes blue, tones that should be familiar to Fate. She points up towards the platform Fate is still on, a large amount of mana leaving her body and suddenly flaring into Kopie instead.

    "Kopie, BLAST RAY!"
    "FUNYA~!"

The spell that normally allows Caro to enhance her pet's dragon-spitting capabilities instead turns the fairy into a ticking time bomb-- of all the moves she's copied, this one was one of the rare few 'willing' ones. She was still pretend to be a hero at the time, and Caro was all too happy to help. Good old days.

But either way, Kopie suddenly charges straight for Fate and her platform, and she'll explode on impact, spreading magical fire everywhere. Kopie herself will be fine, but she'll probably be completely dizzy and out of it. Turns out using yourself as a cannonball kind of sucks.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Ooohhh, Krezentia looks to be bleeding from that punch, but it looks more like oil... she seems to be insisting that everyone hates someone, but whether or not that's true, I leave to you, dear listeners!>"
">It's a complicated issue! A consideration on the true nature of people-oh my goodness Krezentia's fairy just performed a kamikaze attack!<"
"<Oh no! Krezentia charged her up and the little fairy rushed at Fate before exploding! She truly is the villain of this match!>"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
"...Erio knows his own limits." She frowns slightly at her opponent, letting out a sigh. "If you're trying to get me to fight you out of hate, it won't work. I've long since forgiven someone who's done far more to me than anyone ever could." Even though her mother is fairly well known in the Multiverse by now, Fate doesn't dwell on that much longer.

Armored gauntlet flexes, and Fate glances at the oil on her hand. That's also not what she expected, but it's not something she can worry about for now... and a bit of mana flow burns the blood off her gauntlet, just in case Krezentia knows any sort of strange blood magic.

"I can see that you seem to borrow the powers of others. I've seen similar fighting styles before, but I must admit, you're quite strong." But there's little more time for talking, as she has a fairy to avoid! Much as she dives and twirls, Fate can't quite outrun the familiar, and Kopie explodes against her from the side, knocking her out of the air. The explosion blasted a good bit of her side and stomach's Barrier Jacket away, though the rest of it manages to stay on well enough.

Fate plummets, landing hard on the platform. Before she moves to get up, though, she extends a hand outward, and a magic circle appears nearby, then another above it, and a third... and should Kopie actually -fall-, she'll find a surprisingly-soft series of barriers catching her. As she gets back to her feet, the Enforcer reaches over to lightly pat Kopie's head with her hand. "That was quite a fall, little one. Be careful."

And, because she's not completely stupid, she also erects a barrier around the fairy. Kopie can probably break through it, distracted as Fate is with her battle, but it will at least take a little effort.

"Arcus, Krutas, Eygias..." Fate murmurs softly as she steadies herself. Overhead, dark clouds begin to gather. "Lords of the sky and the wind, gather your ire. Baruel, Zaruel, Browzel..." Thunder rumbles overhead. "Makers of the lightning and the thunder, come forth and strike down the foe that stands before me." Crimson eyes flash, and Fate points one sword toward the heavens. "Thunder Fall!"

With a resonant CRASH, thunder rumbles, and bolts of lightning rain down, striking all over the platform before several focus directly in on Krezentia.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Fate couldn't quite dodge the blast, she's falling! Ah, but she stops her fall... and the fall of the fairy! Such heroism, to care about the allies of your foe in the middle of a fight!>"
">It truly is good of her, but these names she's invoking don't sound good at all! Is Fate dipping into dark arts to end this fight, or does her motherly aura soothe even dark existences?<"
"<The heavens rumble with fury, bolts of lightning descending, arcing to strike Krezentia! She's not the only one who can twist the primal power of nature to her own ends in this fight!>"

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
    Kopie becomes snared!

She's not powerful enough to break out of one of Fate's binds, so she'll be staying there for the rest of the fight. She doesn't seem to mind, given right now all she can see is stars.

Krezentia has worries besides her fairy, anyway, when Fate calls forth an entire magically enhanced lightning storm on her. Well fuck. Defensive spell, defensive spell... right, she has one!

    "Clicking Junk!"

With her colors shifting to rust and bronze, a shield of scrap surrounds the Magi. Toasters, chunks of platforms, pipes, tools, broken toys-- all of it metal, blunt, and not exactly lethal or dangerous as-is.

    "... wait. This shit's metal."

The Thunder Fall spell pretty much repeatedly strikes Krezentia and her platform, giving her intense pain, and blowing the platform off from under her feet. With the energy she can muster while trying not to scream due to the electrocutions and pain, the Magi's hand extends. "EINS! EINS, NOW!"

And then-- she plops atop a platform, black and gold.
    Thank GOD for Item 1.

The platform, stationary, just sits there as Krezentia stands on one knee, trying to catch her breath and taunt at the same time. "That's bull. Nobody's that nice. You have buttons, like anyone else. I'm sure I could find them if I cared to. Maybe by targetting your kids. Never did get to thank the pink-haired one personally for the power."

Her colors shift again; brown hair and shirt (what's left of it anyway), aqua eyes. A large, crystal sword appears in one of her hands, double-ended. And by large, we're looking at 'almost twice her size', which is still smaller than the original she copied.

    "And I don't BORROW. I EARN. I KEEP."

She shoots up, lancing towards Fate despite lacking the ability to fly. The weapon is thrusted with increased strength and speed from Krezentia's usual, aiming to skewer Fate with the point.

    "BLUE SKY FANG!"

The sword won't impale, though. It's brittle. It'll crack and shatter on impact, so while there'll be plenty of sharp jagged bits to get cut by, it won't have a concentrated point to stab with.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<Ooohhh, a clumsy attempt at defence from Krezentia. All that metal armour only served to conduct the lightning better!... and now she's making indirect threats towards Fate's children.>"
">Provoking an opponent into making a mistake due to anger is an old tactic, but I think that going that far might be too much. There's a parable about the difference between a rampaging elephant and a furious dragon, after all!<"
"<Absolutely, Yamazaki. OH! And in a stunning reversal, Krezentia is the one closing the distance and striking at close range with a massive crystal sword! It shatters on impact, filling the air with dangerously sharp shards!>"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
That threat gets Fate to narrow her eyes slightly. "That would be a very unwise action, Miss Einjager." Buttons? Oh yes, she does. Fate does indeed have a strong protection instinct and can be extremely dangerous when her children or students are concerned, but that doesn't mean she gets angry. "There are others with far worse tempers than my own who have sworn to protect them." There's no way Fate could protect someone from Signum's wrath.

The colors shift again, and Fate encounters a vaguely familiar crystal blade. Both of her own swords cross in front of her, catching the tip of the incoming blade. For a moment, she holds it back, nearly deflecting it... but then it shatters, showering her with crystalline fragments. Her Barrier Jacket is already quite heavily damaged, and the shards scratch her arms and torso as they swarm by, drawing blood from numerous cuts.

"...Bardiche, load cartridge." The Device chimes softly, a cowling drawing back to reveal a revolver barrel. It spins, locking in a cartridge. Again, a second one. And a third. The three empty shells are ejected as the cowling closes, and Fate brings the pair of swords together again, forming a single, enormous blade.

~Sprite Zanber~

Darting directly for Krezentia, the Enforcer swings down the sword to drive it right toward her opponent's chest.... through which passes completely harmlessly. There's a pause of only a single heartbeat before Fate intones softly, "Dimension Calamity."

Then the sword explodes in a shower of sparks and released magical energy, a resounding CRACK seeming to break the very air around her and shatter it into pieces.

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
"That just makes it MORE tempting," Krezentia admits, with a wide grin on her face. But her attack doesn't give her much room to maneuver; she lept straight for a flier, while she early can't fly. She has a hoverboard, but she won't have it down in time. Fate recovers much, much faster than anticipated, and counters by immediatly-- skewering her?

It hurts, even if it doesn't physically harm. She still finds that INTERESTING, although would argue it's kind of a dumb thing to do if you're in a life or death fight. Not that this is one, but Krezentia thinks very broadly on these things.

Before she can comment or indeed belittle Fate's mercy, the blade explodes, light engulfing the Magi. When it subsides, she's freefalling-- right into one of her portals, which reopens over one of the still intact platforms, and she crashes atop it.

Now most of her jacket and chunks of her pants, she struggles to rise to even one knee and stay relatively straight, still grinning. Bruises and just a bit of blood tell the whole story if her attitude doesn't.

"Heh. I respect power, though. Good job. I'm down."

She doesn't have the energy reserves to fire anything at Fate even if she wanted to; and she really does want to, too.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"<It's hard to tell, but I think Fate is a little mad now! Most of her Barrier Jacket is torn away at this point, but she presses on! She seems to be charging up her Bardiche... causing it to grow a massive blade! She stabs it, aiming to intercept Krezentia mid-flight!>"
">The stab strikes true, but... with a single command, it shatters! Krezentia falls, using portals to land safely... she seems to be surrendering!<"

"<She is! There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Let our victor hear your applause from all over! Cheer, for FATE T. HARLAOWN!>"
">And of course, though she has a villainous nature, she was a strong opponent who made for a thrilling battle. A round of applause for Krezentia Einjager too!<"

Fate T. Harlaown (306) has posed:
As her opponent begins to rise again, Fate tenses for another attack... one that never comes. She finally relaxes a bit once the match has been called, slowly sinking down to where her barrier keeps Kopie safely held. A wave of her hand dispels it, and Fate scoops up the fairy in her hand before flying toward her opponent. "That was well-fought."

Fate smiles warmly, leaning over to offer Krezentia her free hand to help her up to her feet.

Krezentia Einjager (758) has posed:
    Krezentia bats Fate's hand away.

"Keep your mercy. You might need it again someday."

The Magi's body suddenly breaks apart into purple light, and recompresses into a thin streak, which shoots off into the sky and away. Long-range teleportation, most likely!

Kopie whines. "I think you upset her by being a nice person, funya~. Sorry, funya~!" The fairy takes a moment to flutter about, and then mimics the teleportation, beaming away as well! Though, less rudely, overall.
