Cast of Characters: 219, 395, 928

Ariel (219) has posed:
The fortress is just where Ariel said it would be! It's also just as intimidating as it sounds. This includes an UTTERLLY MASSIVE war hound that barks at the door, but Ariel herself answers in a cheery fashion. "Hello!" She's wearing a cloak and a santa cap, but nothing else because she's blatantly an artificial lifeform, even if she also seems somehow organic. "Welcome to the Fortress of No Fucks Given! The kitchen's this way, I just need to put the dressing on, okay?"

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
Following the shorter unicorn in, Momoyo couldn't help but wonder if she'd started taking up shrooms and not realized she was dreaming.

Dressed in her chipmunk tee-shirt and slacks, she looked decidedly unassuming for a veteran fighter on a casual visit. "Huh. Well. I guess this will be an interesting meal..." she murmurs, following along. Tossing her hair lightly with her fingers back over her shoulder, those bangs still draped down close to getting into her constantly glaring-looking red eyes. Sliding in at one of the tables, she started to examine the chair and table itself. She even started to poke the nearby salt-shaker a bit, stirring it around in a circle.

Ariel (219) has posed:
Aside from the bizarre occupants, the place looks fairly normal, including the table and chairs. Ariel is trotting around, bipedally, to slide over a glass of some kind of juice to go with the salad. The salad follows a moment later, in a large bowl, and it does have chunks of some kind of strange, multicolored fruit in it. Smells pretty good, though, and the lettuce and the like is normal. "Here you go- DUNSANY! DOWN!"

The burbling shoggoth that was peeking an eye over the edge of the table jiris away, bubbling, "Takeli-Li!" <I was just sniffing...>

"Sorry about that," Ariel says cheerfully. "It really likes tacos."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
Well, she was broke, so she wasn't about to turn down at least decent free food. However, it was her first time seeing a shoggoth. She even leeeeeeeaned in close, narrowing her eyes as she squinted at the thing. Even poking at it a bit. "...Huh." she muses. It was unusual enough to distract her from the meal, but she does murmur as an afterthought, "I don't usually eat tacos, but don't they usually have beef in them...?"

Ariel (219) has posed:
"You were just told they were taco fruits," Ariel says, plopping onto the opposite chair. "Atlantean Taco Fruits. They're more like a berry. High in protein though, so eat up!" She plucks one of the strange slices out and nibbles on it herself. "My other mom is Atlantean, they raised these as their staple food."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
Sitting back up on her chair rather than squatting down near the tentacle beast, she shrugs and takes a large bite of the salad. As it turns out, Momoyo is not a slow eater at all. Soon as she takes the first bite, she takes to the taco salad with glee, slurping a bit even. "Mmmmh. Goof." she replies, holding up one spoon and shaking it lightly before continuing. "Two mompf?"

Ariel (219) has posed:
Ariel propes her head in her hands, probably looking at Momoyo more curiously now. She may not be quite so innocent as she pretends, since there's some level of assessment there. "Mmhmm. Amalthea is my unicorn mom, and Ellestaria is my Atlantean mom. Ellestaria and Amalthea built me. Or grew me. It's complicated, I guess, because I'm not exactly a robot." She tilts her head. "So you just want to fight, though? That's it?"

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She finishes the bowl completely, sort of smearing the napkin over her mouth. Surprisingly satisfied, she didn't even ask for seconds. She certainly was tempted, though, in spite of being full. "Before the Gate opened, the last opponent I fought worth a damn was Ageha Kuki." (the last name being indistinguishible from the word 'Cookie') She pushes the bowl to the side, letting her arms drape over the back of the chair as she looked at the ceiling. "That was a year ago, in 2008. I continued to have challengers from all over the globe, but I usually beat them with one punch... even the ones who tried to kill me weren't strong enough." she muses.

"I was enjoying my friends, and Yamato Naoe tried to introduce me to some games, gave me a fish... he was even close to giving me a gift. It was in a little box. With hinges. I saw it later... but because the Gate opened he never got a chance to give it to me after our mock school war. I wonder if he ever will, he keeps hiding it from everyone else, but my bro can't hide stuff from me." she waves a hand dismissively. "Other than the Kawakami School War between the popular kids and the common kids, I don't feel alive. My classmates are below my level and have to gang up on me for me to even break a sweat... and I just feel depressed if I don't fight." She murmurs this, staring at the ceiling.

Ariel (219) has posed:
"Huh..." Ariel blinks a few times, those odd gemlike eyes clicking each blink. "I met a lot of people like that during the tournament. You really need a hobby! I don't like fighting, but I understand where you're coming from." She claps her hands together. "Maybe if you need to let off steam we could spar sometime! I'm a little rusty when I'm not in Magius Form, but after I lost my title maybe I should work on that more. You really need an outlet, it sounds like."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She blinks a bit, looking down at Ariel's aura. She hadn't really been paying attention to it, there were ten zillion other things going on in the fortress that would shut down ki perception.

"Besides, Amalthea will probably kill me if I'm caught sparring with you, after what I did to Nero." she waves a hand dismissively. "If you don't like fighting, why would you challenge me? There's numerous people that will find me pretty threatening just by being strong if I wander into the wrong Multiverse." she frowns, studying the not-robot thoughtfully.

Amalthea (395) has posed:
"That's right, you'd be dead where you stand."
That voice comes from the doorway as Amalthea enters. Despite the fluffy blue robe decorated in dolphins, and fuzzy slippers, the elder unicorn comes trudging into the kitchen.
"Ariel doesn't like fighting. She'll do it if she has to, but she's a pacifist at heart. Her winning the WMAT tournament was one of the many moments where my pride for her swelled, and for good reason." Noted as pats the smaller unicorn atop the head with a gentle affection, before pouring herself a cup of coffee. "She wanted to understand people through how they fight, and she learned a lot."
That's when her eye turns on Momoyo. "You still have no direction. She's found hers, and she's only three. I think that says something." Jabbed as she starts to shuffle back on out.

Ariel (219) has posed:
Ariel's aura is going to be difficult to read. There's power there, and a fair amount, but an initial reading would probably read as a fair bit weaker than Momoyo... though well into 'strong fighter' territory. A hand lifts to wave to Amalthea, and then... an awkward twitch. "Eheh. It was just the one time. And if you keep picking fights then someone might kill you. That would be bad, right?"

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She shakes her head. After Amalthea leaves, though... she had to do just one silly thing. Reaching down to the ground, there's some rustling as she finds a not-swept up pebble. She does something completely childish.

She flicks the pebble at Amalthea using a tiny bit of aura. It would only be enough to bounce off and fall if it hit her head, but it was an action that suited her better than sticking her tongue out at the old veteran.

"I can't beat your mother yet. But I wanted to try. She sounds like my damn grandpa. I'm surprised she didn't just sit there in a room with him having tea and nagging about young people all the time..." she muses before turning back to Ariel. "I have hobbies. I just lose interest in them. It's a quirk. Anything else bores me. So if I die fighting, I doubt there will be anyone who really misses me." she shrugs, ignoring the ring box she mentioned earlier as she goes back to staring at the ceiling. Even Amalthea could tell at a glance she only had two thirds of her aura back from that adolescent clash with Nero.

Amalthea (395) has posed:
Plink. The pebble bounces off Amalthea's head with a small clank. She pauses briefly to fire a brief glower before meandering off, grumbling about 'damn punk kids'.

Ariel (219) has posed:
"I would!" Ariel replies earnestly to 'who would miss her.' She twitches an ear, then shakes her head, "I'm sure you'll find a purpose someday! If you don't, then I guess we can have um... I dunno. Maybe Duet can seal you or something, if you want. It might make it easier. I guess I could try but Al hasn't taught me seals, just dispels."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
Momoyo shrugs, grousing at Amalthea. It was clear though, that they liked one another. But Momoyo still didn't understand the woman that just simply didn't put her in prison. "Maybe you will. Then you'll forget in a year or two other than war stories. It doesn't matter, really." she tilts her head a bit while looking down at the shorter unicorn. "Why would you need to seal... nevermind." she waves a hand dismissively. "Maybe you might need to seal me if I get as powerful as your mom, but I don't just go around attacking people. I just live my own way and stay honest." she sits up straighter again. "Your mom is gonna put me in prison if you talk to me anymore about challenging me, so let's just drop the subject. I don't think I'll remain undefeated much longer anyway if I have to fight more people like Nero."

Ariel (219) has posed:
The question makes Ariel look puzzled again. "So you can be normal?" She looks utterly confused that Momoyo wouldn't want it if it were a problem. "Oh well. Okay, there are plenty of others who like to fight, too. Just um... be careful, okay? And don't tell mom that was the last taco in the fridge."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She stands up, rolling her neck and ruffles the smaller unicorn. "I'm not the one that needs to be 'normal' though there's girls like that in my world. Even if you sealed my ki, people will come for me anyway." she pecks the smaller girl on the horn. "We'll talk more some other time. Now... how do I get back to the gate again...?" she muses, looking around outside the windows.
