- Nagato has posed:
Freelia, the Cait Sith's hometown. A very specific looking Cait Sith is sitting on a bench, tapping the edges of her great axe, ears twitching slightly from the conversations going around her that she doesn't pay much attention to. Nagato, or Tana in game, recently met another player, another Cait Sith player too of the Union and is waiting for her. "I think it's about time I took on that quest Mistral told me about, I could use a new great axe."
Indeed, the axe the Cait Sith has out is quite worn and looks quite basic, almost like a newbie weapon. Much less the armor on her as well. Even more peculiar, most Cait Sith around have a pet nearby, this one, however does not. THough, a look at the Cait Sith's skills could show otherwise compared to what she has on. There's a few comments directed towards her, 'Hey, a newbie with a great axe?' 'No pet?' 'She must be strange...' all get paid no mind to as she waits. "Now where is Silica..."

Cait Sith are a fun-loving and largely carefree race, there are the occasional one or two that differ from that norm, but largely, the cat-like folk are pleasant and cheerful! Silica is not an exception of that rule, and she would be rather easy to spot. She's small, even by Cait Sith standards, and while many of the other players have opted for more mundane pets, she's one of the only handful that went right for a Feathered Little Dragon.
The caramel-haired girl with oversized ears looks around, with the blue dragonling perched on her shoulder. "Hmm, Miss Tana has to be around here somewhe---" magenta eyes land on the girl with the great-axe, sat all alone, so she turns, and approaches, smiling brightly. "Excuse me, are you Miss Tana?" she asks.

Tana perks up as her name is spoken, the Cait Sith's tail twitching just lightly as she looks around, but when another Cait Sith approaches with the blue dragonling, Tana braces herself. "That would be me." she starts, moving to put the axe upon her back and stand up. A bow is given, "I'm Tana, a pleasure. Are you... Silica?" she questions, pulling up a menu real quick to get ready for something. "If so, it's good to meet you in person... in avatar... umm... here."
She gives a brief smile before the gaze is turned back to the blue dragonling. There's that hint of Nagamon showing but she's doing her best to restrain herself for it, "That's a cute little pet you have there." she comments, "I do not think I've seen any of the Cait Sith players with one." a pause, "Granted, I haven't focused that hard on it..."

Silica nods happily, "I'm Silica, yep!" she then leans in a little. "In Avatar was my In Person for two years." she says, before shrugging. "Anyway, this is Pina... my in-game pet, Pina. I think you already met my real life pet on the radio."
She tilts her head curiously. "You're still using the starter gear, I mean, that's not a /bad/ thing if you've got the skill for it, but..."

Tana nods with a smile, "Good to meet you then, Silica." the Menu being open was a quick way to send a friend request to Silica, might as well get her on there for future shenanegans. "Because of... that game... right?" she shakes her head, looking at the dragonling, reaching over to try and give it a pet. "Hello, Pina. You're quite adorable." she grins a bit, moving a bit closer, still reaching out to pet the dragonling.
Though the comment about her gear snaps her out of the 'cute thing must pet it' daze, "Ah... yeah. I really haven't tried to get new gear, still waiting on a few people to show me the better craftsman people to get good gear and to show me some decent heavy armor so i can get back to feeling like a Battleship again..."

Silica watches the friend request pop up, and taps the Accept button without questioning it. Pina chirps as Tana reaches out to pet her, glancing back at Silica, who gives a nod. The little dragonling then hops off of Silica's shoulder, and perches on Tana's, chirring softly.
"The AI of those dragons is pretty amazing, they're very life-like, which is probably why they're so rare... a lot of players don't want the hassle of keeping one happy, but I don't mind! Pina's my friend, after all."
"Oh, you should go talk to Miss Lisbeth for heavy armour and weapons! She's one of the best Blacksmiths around!" she offers, "There's probably others, though!"

Tana's ears perk up as the dragonling moves from Silica's shoulder to her own. Tana slowly starts to pet down Pina's head and neck and soon... "You are sho cute! So very cute, you're adorable!" Nagamon mode, active. She rubs cheek to furry face and pets and generally dotes over the dragon like it was the only thing there. "Such a cute little dragon you are, yes you are..." Tana's smile is bright as she continues to dote over it.
Though, when the mention of Lisbeth is given, Tana snaps out of her cute-pet daze and perks, "Ah, I heard that Leprechauns were best at that, is this LIsbeth person one as well?" she questions, "I think a few others were going to show me some cheaper armor to get used to it all. I'm... still not that great at this game..."
- Silica has posed:
Silica just grins a bit at the other Cait Sith doting on her little dragon friend. Pina herself absorbs all the Petron radiation she can, chirring softly at the pettings and all that.
When Tana finally comes out of that 'cute thing daze' the Beast Tamer nods. "Mhmm! She's a pretty good mace user too, though, if you're after cheaper gear, you might want to see if a travelling smith is selling anything good. Liz' gear is top notch, but her prices match." she says, rubbing the back of her neck. "I don't know any other smiths... Liz keeps my Dagger maintained, and I use Leather armour which I maintain myself."
- Nagato has posed:
"I see, I'm not much into maces, I like the cutting power of my axe. It reminds me of an armor peircing shell." she grins a bit, idly petting Pina, though when the mention of LIzbeth's prices being expensive... she opens up her menu again and checks. Yeah, that's not much. "Eheh... I think I'll try a travelling smith. I don't got much money on me so that may be a good idea." she thinks a moment, "Mm, Akashi isn't here so she can't repair my equipment..." she taps her foot and thinks a moment...
"Is there a major difference between leather and metal armor? And should I be using some other weapon instead of the great axe?" she looks towards the other Cait Sith expectantly. "You are, admittedly, my senior when it comes to ALO, so maybe you have some tips or knowledge that I lack."
- Silica has posed:
Silica shrugs a bit. "I'm, using leather and a dagger, because that's what I'm... used to..." she shrugs a bit, and giggles softly. "I'm not used to being someone's senior!" she adds, then taps her cheek with a fingertip. "Well, the main difference I've seen between Leather and Metal, is that Leather lets you move easier, it generally has bonuses to Agility and stuff like that. Metal armour is more protective, but restricts your movement a bit. Heavy Metal armour especially."
The Beast Tamer looks over Tana curiously for a moment. "As for weapons, use what you're comfortable with. Noone can tell you what's right or wrong here, since it's all based around your own perseonal skill with the weapon in question."
- Nagato has posed:
"I suppose that is fair enough." Tana nods, "That makes sense." she mentions, "Similar to how my fleet has different armor classes... The lighter ones are agile." she taps her foot a bit, hmming softly, though when the weapon is mentioned, she gives a nod, "I've been getting comfortable with this, though I've been learning how to use a shield and a smaller axe." then again, Tana's idea of 'small' is .. not that small. "If I could wield this axe in one hand, I think I'd be pretty happy holding the shield as well."
She gives a bit of a chuckle, only to perk up, "Say. Would you be free later to run a dungeon, Silica? Would like to..." she hesitates, like she's trying to search for the right word.. "Party up with a beast master Cait Sith and see how they work."

Silica giggles a little. "You sound like Mister Kirito." she mentions. "If you want to use a Two-handed axe one handed, you should probably focus on building your Strength stat... but I don't think anyone, even a Salamander can get /that/ strong." she mentions.
At the mention of partying up for a dungeon, Silica's face flushes. "M-Me? But... I'm not all that good in a fight... I mean, um..."
- Nagato has posed:
"I do?" she questions, then again, Kirito was pretty strong. "So, it might not be possible. Well, doesn't matter, I'll try anyways." she taps her foot, thinking a moment, "That's okay, I'm not that good in a fight either." says the one with a great axe. "But yes, maybe we can also get Kirito and Mistral or Kagura or Amakasu in and make it a fun, relaxing one. Been wanting to practice something with Mistral anyways, maybe it'll work with Kagura or Amakasu."
She taps her foot some more. "It's okay, you don't have to, we can always do something relaxing than a dungeon." she smiles a bit, leaning back into the bench, "Why don't you sit down?"

"Oh, you meant form a full Party, not just us two..." Silica says, seeming relieved. I mean... I'm fairly good with my Dagger... and Pina has some support abilities, but without a dedicated healer, we wouldn't get very far." she explains, rubbing the back of her neck.
At the offer to sit, she does so gladly, plopping down and adjusting her skirt just so, hands folding in her lap. "I suppose I could show you the basics of Beast Taming... it's really simple once you know how."

Tana thinks a moment, "I think Kagura is a dedicated healer." a pause, "Though, maybe we can find a random Undine to heal for us." she thinks a moment and hmms, "I haven't gotten far myself on my own, perhaps a primer on party makeup as well would be good..." she gives a bit of a laugh before nodding. "Sure, a primer for Beast Taming would be nice. Maybe having a support pet that can heal would be nice.."
- Silica has posed:
Silica nods, and smiles brightly. "Well, the first step is to make sure you have the creature's favorite food item in your inventory. Most NPC vendors in Freelia sell the basics for starter pets, just grab a couple of each and head out to a field dungeon." she says, opening her menu and rifling through her item storage, before tapping an icon. A small bag of nuts appears in her hand, making Pina suddenly leap off Tana's shoulder, circle around and nuzzle Silica's cheek, chirping happily. "Little Feathered Dragons /love/ peanuts." she explains, offering one up to Pina, who delicately takes it, and munches contentedly. "Oh, that's another thing, once you tame it, you have to make sure to feed it, or it'll eventually turn on you... so make sure you keep some of it's favorite food in your storage."
She ponders for a moment, "After you've got the items, you just need to wait to find a non-hostile animal in the dungeon, you'll be able to tell if you use your enhanced sight to check its cursor. Red means Dead, Green are Keen." she singsongs, giggling a bit at herself.

When the nuts appear, Pina's off her shoulder and she almost makes a pouting face, but she listens to Silica, making mental notes in her head. Looks like she has some money to spend on some basic food for pets. "So it's like a ships cat almost. You have to take care of it." she briefly nods and listens to the singsonging. "I did notice a few things with the green arrow, a lot with red..." she thinks a moment, "Looks like I have a lot to learn even after the basics."
- Silica has posed:
Silica giggles softly, stroking along Pina's back as the dragonling migrates down into her lap. "Being the best Beast Tamer takes a lot of practice and perserverence." she remarks. "I had a headstart with... that other game."
- Nagato has posed:
"And you have that in spades." she comments, watching the dragonling migrate. "Ah, perhaps I should go purchase some and find a pet to try and tame, see how to do it." she looks around, "As soon as I know where an NPC is to get some food for them..."
