Cast of Characters: 516, 836

Peridot (836) has posed:
Systems. Wiring. Machinery. Peridot had created a little nest of technology for herself in the underground system of Malibu. Oddly enough she wasn't the only one in hiding down here. It was a homeless commune. A series of lost humans with ragged clothes, all their posession in the world on their back and Peridot was no different. Save for the green skin.

She had carved out a secluded section away from the other humans and had scrawled warnings written on cardboard paper along the dark twisted corridor that led to her makeshift home.
"Stay Away!"
"Get Out!"
"Leave or be shattered!"

Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham had been wondering where Peridot had gone to. It had taken a lot of question-asking, bribes and some roughing up to get information on where she could find this strange green-skinned girl--but apparently as she descended the manhole cover into the dark, it seemed to have paid off. The humans that were crowded down here might have been somewhat alarmed by Ferham's presence--the gems set into her armor here and there glowing in the darkness as she walked on by--not paying the homeless any mind.

Ferham's black gloved, clawed hand made a nails on chalkboard-esque screech as Fer slide it across the wall where the scrawled warnings were set up on the cardboard. She was peering ahead into the darkness dispassionately as she rounded the corner, her heeled boots clunking against the floor.

Peridot (836) has posed:
As she rounds up closer onto Peridot's nest, the signs and markings of the gems presence increased. There were discarded circuit boards, fragments of scavanged goods, hairdryers, old tv sets- all sorts of abandoned human tech collected together in massive piles, some were gutted for their components while others seemingly remained whole, organized almost into different piles.

Soon Ferham can hear the signs of life. Sparks illuminated the dark corridor, obscured by the piles of junk. Ferham can even hear the mumbling ramblings of a familiar voice. Albeit it was too soft to hear what she was actually saying. Little surprise, but she appeared to be annoyed about something she was working on.

From here Ferham can choose to be stealthy and attempt to get closer, or continue as she is and likely be heard approaching by the green gem before she can reach her.

Ferham (516) has posed:
It had seemed that Peridot had been pretty busy down here all by themselves. Her boots pushed debris of old electronics and circuitry out of the way--humans would discard an appliance after it blew a fuse, not understanding how to replace it and repair it, after all--it proved to be good for scavenging. Ferham wasn't making any real attempt to be quiet, but then she knew Peridot was somewhat easily distracted--her heeled boots would click-clack right up behind them, or at least within about 5-feet or so.

"Peridot?" she'd ask, raising a hand as she looked down at the apparently now much smaller gem species girl.

Peridot (836) has posed:
Peridot grumbled as she was head first plunged into the interior of an ancient but massive crt tv. A good find though she had a difficult time lugging it down here. At hear the boots click clack in her 'zone' Peridot suddenly shut up and held her breath. Her brows furrowed as she grabbed her old limb-enhancer arm model, which she had re-fashioned into a handgun she could hold rather than fitting on her arm.

She suddenly raised herself, obscured in the shadows of her junk piles, only her eyes and her green gem visible against the dark and she raised and pointed her gun.

"I know some of you nimrods can't read, but you have 3 seconds to remove yourself from-" She blinked as she realized who it was. "Ferham?" She asked, lowering her gun a little as the furrowed brow of irritation gave way to one of concern.

Peridot froze still, seemingly transfixed in time. She had not run into a single fed since she had betrayed them. She was suddenly unsure of Ferhams intentions, or the feds policy on betrayal. Probably not one that would end well for her, but she was also unsure about Ferhams state of mind. Finally she breaks the tense silence. "H-hey." She says uneasily.

Ferham (516) has posed:
"When I saw the ship gone and hadn't heard from you since you were... bubbled, I was not sure what was going on," Ferham's green eyes seemed luminescent in the dark, as well as the crystals set into her armor here and there, peering down at the small gem girl.

"I... take it you haven't been back because you don't want to, I wasn't even sure if you were alive or not for a time there," Ferham walked around the room, peering at things here and there, noting the weapon that had been trained on her.

"Is there any reason why you hadn't come back? I heard Jasper has been gone for a while--I noticed the abrupt lack of her trying to exert her dominance on me," Ferham grins, clearly the dynamics between the two had been... special, to say the least.

Peridot (836) has posed:
Peridot sets her gun back into a holster on her hips. She had amended her outfit to include a green cloak, something she could hide various things under. At Ferham's summation of what had occurred, Peridot climbed down from her junk pile.

"Jasper is... gone." She started, rubbing the back of her neck. She tried to hurt someone and I didn't let her."

"A gem of my station simply can't do that to a Jasper. Or, even a member of the federation. So, I was forced to flee and cut my ties." She looks back to Ferham. "I apologize for not informing you... but truth be told I haven't told anyone else either. I only just told Toph about my location."

"Which I suppose is how you found me. As i've been more out in the sunlight than I have been in the past."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"I see," Ferham had looked off into the gloom, eyes scanning it as she listened. She craned her head down to look at Peridot when she mentioned Toph, though. "Huh, I see, so you left," she walked a little closer and knelt down, shaking her head. "No, I haven't spoken to the earthbender, I tracked you down because I wanted to see how you were," she tilted her head a little, looking at Peridot. "I guess you had a change of heart from before, no more stepping on poor drones or trying to manipulate people, hmm?" she asked, watching Peridot with hawk-like eyes as she knelt there. "I suppose you had to learn that lesson the hard way, like I did," she sighed a little.

Peridot (836) has posed:
Peridot coughed. "I was merely acting as logic dictated me to. Jasper was behaving irrationally and endangering my plan." She seemed reluctant, even now to admit to having rather 'un-gem like' qualities such as compassion or empathy. "However I made a rather hasty decision to poof and bubble her. Which... inherently was not logical as it did more damage to my mission than she ever did."

Peridot looks down and to the side. "And it gets worse. I also restablished contact with my home planet... I sort of called my supreme leader a clod when my appeal to logic failed once more."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Jasper was nearly uncontrollable, I can't exactly fault you for wanting to render her harmless--and your homeworld has turned aggressive towards you?" Ferham tch'd at that, shaking her head a little. "Well, I won't tell anyone I saw you, if that's what you're worried about, though I will say I'm going to miss having you with us," Ferham might reach out to try and put her gloved hand on the small gem girl's hand or arm, at this point.

"What happened to your... gloves, and boots?" she clearly has noticed the size difference so far, as well.

Peridot (836) has posed:
"Destroyed." Peridot answered and doesn't shrink away or flinch at being touched on the shoulder. "Jasper tore them up when my initial appeal was ineffective. I managed to salvage and repair one of my arms into a blaster, but..."

"I will make another pair eventually. For the moment I have been focused on staying off the grid and in hiding. I think it's only a matter of time before the Gem Empire joins the Confederation."

"The planet is no doubt already teeming with hunter-killer drones looking to wipe my precious grin off the face of the planet. Though I have taken many steps to lead them astray."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Well, if you're no longer with the feds then they shouldn't be able to come after you, least not right now, and like I said, I didn't see you," she blinked when Peridot started her paranoid babbling about HK drones. "I... I'm not sure about that, but I'll do my best to see that no harm comes to you," she stood up again, looking around the room.

"For the meantime, though--I think your current habitat is a little... lacking, we need to get you some new arms and legs, too--unless you like being that short," she turns back to looking down at Peridot, smiling a little.

Peridot (836) has posed:
Peridot looks over her form. "I will make new limb enhancers... non-gem tech is just so archaic, not at all designed to integrate with my hard-light form." Her lips pursed.

Peridot then looked around her nest. "Though I am surrounded by the filth of humanity, it's the last sort of place a HK drone, or Yellow Diamond would think to look for me in such close proximity to humans."

"They keep their distance and I have devised several non-fatal means of keeping even the most bold of them at bay."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Hard light, similar to a hard-light hologram, I take it," Ferham thought about it a bit, before looking back at the corner and corridor behind them. "Can't say I can vouch for the cleanliness of it, or the safety, but if this is where you want to operate," Ferham looked back at Peridot. "And what sort of methods have you developed? Are you setting human traps down here?" she grinned a little, looking around the chamber to see if she could spot anything.

"I suppose waving that gun of yours around once in a while is effective in it's own way," she folded her arms.

Peridot (836) has posed:
"I set many human traps." Peridot acknowledges with a serious tone. That appears to be what she actually called them. "Though they are disabled when I am present to protect my location myself. Mostly they are just flashy lights and loud noises. I have found this is sufficient to scare off most animals and humans and deters further exploration." She concludes clinically.

"And yes, should I find myself in genuine trouble... my arm blaster is more than enough to handle the average being. And I have carefully avoided the more super powerful sorts."

"I don't believe the Confederacy is fully aware of my treachery, which works to my favor but I am sure it will come to light soon."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Hmm, we might need to get you a more stable location at some point, if you're willing to move out of here," she sighed a little, looking back at Peridot. "I'm worried about you down here by yourself, to be honest," she went from having turned around to look at the room and then nodded to Peridot.

"Honestly? We're a lot more tight-knit than the Union, we'll notice you're missing, but I am not sure there'll be a lot of push to come looking for you," she makes a 'no' motion with her chin. "I'm not, and I know others are not necessarily going to be out hunting for you, I'm not sure if your homeworld will, either."

Peridot (836) has posed:
Peridot adopts a far away stare. "... You don't know my home planet at all." She said, and squints looking to Ferham. "I've become public enemy number one for my actions." She presses the palm of her hand into her face. "I've become the face of anarchy and rebellion. The Diamonds want me dead and they putting forth an immense amount of resources to see it happen."

"As for the confederacy. It appears to hold some lunatics in it's ranks and I am playing it safe for now."

Ferham (516) has posed:
"Some lunatics probably, yes... We'll... have to talk about this later," Ferham shook her head. She turned and moved towards the corner of the corridor and gave Peridot a bit of a wave. "I'll keep in touch, okay? I hope you don't worry about me knowing where you are, I won't use the information," Ferham turned and looked back at Peridot one last time before she left, giving her a bit of a wave again.

"Stay safe, alright?" she said, before she disappeared around the corner.
