Pizza in Canterlot!
Date of Scene: 23 May 2016
Location: Equestria 2<E2>
Synopsis: Visitors to the newest Equestria are treated to pizza and a Q&A with Princess Luna.
Cast of Characters: 151, Silica, 993

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Visitors that have seen the other Equestria might be surprised when they step out of the warpgate and into this Equestria. The initial gate lets them out very near the gates of Canterlot. Not that unusual.

What might seem unusual is the traffic! This Canterlot seems more like a modern-day Earth city. The city itself is very similar. Tall towers, stone streets and stonework buildings, with the Canterlot Castle in the background. But, the traffic is quite different. Cars very similar to early Earth cars are moving about the wide streets, and a few much more modern-looking heavy construction vehicles can be seen building things in the distance.

There are even cabs, which can easily be flagged down. And they seem to be driven by...humanoid ponies. Pony heads, human arms and torsoes, and pony legs. Probably not unusual as far as unusual things go, but it might surprise new visitors who have been to the first Equestria to unify.

Princess Luna has given directions to a pizza parlor at the edge of the city. She waits patiently for anyone non-pony to appear, and has already had a pizza delivered to her booth near the window. Naturally, it is vegitarian. Mushrooms, olives, carrots rather than pepperoni.

Silica has posed:
Fliers wouldn't be a new thing in Equestria, what with Pegasi around, but a flying... cat thing with a weird face, and a tiny dragon might catch some attention. Bright yellow gossamer wings flutter rapidly as Silica soars across the rooftops, goggling at all the things. "Wooooow... this is almost exactly like in those western cartoons dad used to show me." she says to herself, but earning a confused chirp from her companion. "It's nothing Pina." she offers back, smiling and reaching over to pet the little dragonling on the head.

She arrives near the pizza place, and with a long, circling descent, bleeds off speed to come in for a landing, boots clacking against the stones, before she takes a peek inside, ears panning and eyes almost staring at everything. She's definitely feeling some very intense emotion or other... her tail is fluffed out to maximum Bottle Brush.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
When Ainsley arrives, she arrives to a modern city. This is immediately different than the other pony worlds she's familiar with. She looks to the buildings, the streets, the vehicles... and then the people. As she walks through the city, she tries not to stare at anyone, particularly when her own appearance would draw a lot of attention from the locals. It's a pony city, and she's a foreign lizard anthro.

She eventually gets to the pizza parlor but she's in no large rush. She steps inside and seeks out Princess Luna, already mildly familiar with her by the descriptions she got of other world Luna iterations. She steps up to sit at that booth, across from Luna, and settle in. "Hello~" she greets, her voice soft and musical. "I'm Ainsley, one of your new allies. I'm a wizard."

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Luna for some reason wasn't expecting flying visitors. Especially flying cat visitors. As she looks out the window, waiting for guests, she blinks in surprise upon noticing a cat girl peeking in. But, Luna smiles warmly and raises a hand, motioning for Silica to come closer. "It is alright. We do not bite." she says, then blinks. "Ah..I..I do not bite." she ammends, then giggles a bit.

Ainsley's appearance is a curiousity, and she does get several looks as she makes her way along the streets, but very few actual stares except from small children intrigued by her dragon-y apperance. Luna bows her head respectfully to Ainsley when she walks up and takes a seat. "Greetings Ainsley. I am honored that you accepted my invitation. Please, help yourself if you are hungry. Or, if you would like something else, feel free to order. I will cover the expenses."

Silica has posed:
Silica oops, and flushes at the cheeks, rubbing the back of her head. "Eheh, sorry... force of habit." she offers, as she walks in and heads over to join the others. "I'm Silica... and this," she gestures to the now perched little dragon on her shoulder, "Is my friend Pina."

An odd quirk in the AI algorithms makes this particular pet a little more... Real. The dragon hops off Silica's shoulder, lands on the table and stares up at Luna with its beady little red eyes, before tilting its head to one side as if examining this new being.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
"Thanks," Ainsley replies, reaching forward to get a piece of pizza for herself. She opens her mouth and eats the slice of pizza in one big bite, and chews it carefully, her scaly cheeks puffed out while she chews. Her bright eyes distractedly stare out one of the windows, watching people go about their lives. She seems intrigued by all of it. She raises a hand in greeting toward Silica without looking in her direction, showing just how distracted she is.

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Princess Luna just giggles politely as Silica flushes. "It is quite alright. Caution is to be expected when one visits an unfamiliar land." she says before blinking as that little dragon hops down and gazes up at her. Luna gazes back with those big blue eyes of hers, then smiles. "Hello Pina. It is nice to meet you." she says, then holds out a hand as if expecting Pina to shake and perhaps even speak. Dragons on her world do that, after all. "Please, both of you, feel free to partake of the pizza. I can order another if needed." she says.

Ainsley's people-watching causes Luna to join her in staring out the window a few moments, then she smiles. "It can be quite entertaining to simply observe others sometimes." she says before taking a slice herself. Outside, many ponies walk by. Unicorns make up the majority, with earth ponies following close behind. Pegasi are rarely seen on the ground, except when going into a building, but it seems clear that there are plenty living here as well. There are also a few other creatures. Donkeys, mules, a yak or two, and even horse-people that look more similar to earth horses and lack the typical pony cutie marks.

Luna lets the other two (three?) get settled in, then smiles. "Welcome to Equestria. I, as you have both noted, am Princess Luna. I rule Equestria alongside my sister, Princess Celestia. There are also two other princesses. Princess Cadence rules over the Crystal Empire far to the north, and Princess Twilight Sparkle resides in her Friendship Palace in Ponyville. We are currently in Canterlot, the capital city of Equestria. Please, do not hesitate to ask questions!" Luna seems quite excited to meet new people from outside of her world.

Silica has posed:
"Oh, I... I don't need to eat in this body." says Silica, perching on a seat. "This is a virtual avatar, so anything I do eat, wouldn't help my real body at all." She smiles, ears splaying to the sides. "Thanks for the offer though."

Pina tilts its head the other way, then crawls forwards to sniff at the offered hand. Finding no treat, the dragonling hops up onto the hand, then begins scaling(Heh) the arm to perch on Luna's shoulder, craning its neck around to peer at the Princess from a new angle.

Silica for her part, stifles a giggle at her pet, then attempts to reprimand, as she tries not to burst out laughing. "P-P-Pina, get d-d-d-hehe-down from there!"

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley seems content to people watch even as Luna introduces herself and speaks about the other princesses. She only looks away from the activity outside when she hears giggling from Silica, and her head turns to look at the cait sith avatar, and then to her pet dragonling. She smiles more warmly from that sight and the amusement Silica derives from it.

"I only came to visit," she admits, "To see the world for myself. I don't ask many questions until I have more to go on than a first impression." Then she grabs another pizza slice and nibbles at this one this time. "Your world is full of humanoids, which is different from the other iterations of this world I've seen," she says, turning her head to look back out of the window. "It reminds me a little of home."

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Luna raises an eyebrow at Silica's claim. "Virtual avatar? Then...this is some sort of projection?" she asks before blinking as the little dragon hops on her hand and scales her. She giggles as well, then waves a hand dismissively as Silica tries to reprimand the little pet. "It is no trouble." she says. Recognizing that this creature, while intelligent, is probably not on the same level as Silica or herself, she reaches across with her other arm to give Pinna a scritching under the chin. "Then, is this creature also a projection?" she asks, seeming charmed by the cute little dragon.

Ainsley's response earns an understanding nod from the night princess. "Then, your world is like this one?" Luna asks before nibbling her own slice politely before she tilts her head slightly. "Hmm...other iterations of Equestria contain non-bipedal ponies?" she asks, intrigued by this. "Does that mean I have a four-legged counterpart, or counterparts?"

Silica has posed:
"I guess that's as accurate as any explanation." replies Silica, still trying not to giggle as Pina absorbs those chin scritches like a voracious pettings sponge. The virtual little dragon emits a trilling sound as it closes its eyes.

"Pina is a virtual construct as well, yes... a polygon frame wrapped with a texture pallette and run by AI algorithms... but, she's a bit special compared to most other Pets in the game." explains the Beast Tamer, ears splaying out again. "This is the first time I've been to a world called 'Equestria'. It's a really amazing place... looks like some of the old story books and Western cartoons that my dad used to show me."

Ainsley (151) has posed:
"Not as nice," Ainsley replies vaguely, "And the other Lunas are quadrapeds, yeah," she adds, smiling over at Luna. "I've not done much talking to the others. I am a friend of Twilight Sparkle and Spike, from another of the worlds, though. We share a love of books." She warms up her smile again, and takes a bigger bite out of the pizza. "Mmh, not enough knights for the books I read as a child," she notes, more quietly, her lightly feathery brows lifting and eyes turning to the activity outside again. "Plenty of unicorns, though."

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Luna giggles again as the pet soakes up attention. She keeps providing said attention as she looks to Silica again. "Virtual...construct. I do not know what that means." she says, blushing a bit and gaining a slight frown. She doesn't like appearing ignorant in front of guests! The comparisons to story books make Luna's ears perk in curiousity. "Western? No no, we are much more civilized. Appleloosa is your destination if you wish for a western experience." she says, smiling gently. "I am glad you approve of our world, either way. Story books are often quite positive, after all."

Luna blinks in surprise as Ainsley mentions the lack of knights. "Oh, our military keeps a minimum presense in the streets. It makes ponies nervous if soldiers and knights patrol the city in full armor. We do have some patrols of course, simply for safety's sake, but they make their rounds only about once every two hours. We are quite fortunate to have little need for patrols or standing guards in the city." she says, then giggles a bit. "Unicorns, however...yes, I believe more than 50% of the residents are unicorns."

Silica has posed:
Silica considers how to explain for a moment. "Um... hmm... OH! Do you have Illusion magic in this world? Like, making something look like something else, or make something seem to be somewhere it isn't?" she asks, leaning across the table a bit.

Princess Luna (993) has posed:
Luna nods at that question. "Of course. It is actually one of my specialties." she says, smiling. "So, you and your pet are illusions of a sort? But, you are solid. Our illusions are usually quite intangible. I believe you and your pet would fall more accurately under the description of conjurations." she says, then turns her head to give the little pet a nuzzling. "Very cute conjurings!"
