Cast of Characters: 123, 898, 691, 774, 437, 513

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
The Industrial Behemoth is generally a dark, dreary place, the sky blackened by the fires of industry on a massive scale. Tonight however, one little patch of land is lit up nice and bright.

Set a distance away from the massive sky city, Clutching to the side of one of the few mountains that hasn't been blasted into rubble yet. Is the city of Steelcliff, and in the face of the Multiverse going to hell? It's parting! Food and drink vendors line the streets, musicians and performers set up stages or wander to work the crowds, Streamers and banners have been placed everywhere, welcoming residents and visitors alike to a brand new Multiverse. Here's hoping it works out better than that last mess did.

Allan for his part walks the streets. Nodding and waving to people as he passes, keeping an eye out for any visiting elites. Both to say hi and judging by the presence of his shotgun, make sure nothing stupid happens.

Lumeria (898) has posed:
Well, the recent destruction of the Multiverse is a chance for Lumeria to make a name for herself. She doesn't really know that many people yet having kept a low profile. Plus it's a chance to free chance to restock on her supplies of sweets which were running low. While she would prefer something a bit more classy this would have to do. She makes a note not to upset the man with the shotgun. Getting blown to tiny Elfir bits certainly wouldn't do.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari Takane slips out from one of the street-side booths that's been set up. A miniature Japanese-style sake and noodle bar reminding the young Au Ra deeply of home. After two bowls of udon, she slaps down her credits and stands up. The sake bottle stays with. As does the last Confederate minted coin she has. She looks at it, then sticks it in a pocket.

Five minutes later, she pops out of a small little jewelry shop. The coin has been fashioned into a necklace sitting at the chest of her midnight blue kimono. She carries a katana, peacebound thankfully. She's half-way done with the sake when she spies a familiar figure.

Yari doesn't really intend to sneak up on Allan. Not intentionally. It's mostly instinct, and so she may well be all but whispering in the man's ear as she comes up behind him.

"I would say that I'm relieved that you're alive, Mister Bodily. But somehow I knew the Upheaval wouldn't kill you. I'm glad to see you again." It's punctuated by a low bow. Lumeria, for now, goes unnoticed other than a brief, polite smile.

The sake bottle is offered. "Drink? How are your...friends?"

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
A party? With all the mess that's happened, Dorian is all for that. It's about time something good happened in all thise horribleness that the new Multiverse has deposited into everyone's collective lap like an annoyed cat revenge-pooping on someone's pillow. So Dorian's there! He's dressed for a party, in an almost military-like coat -- white of course. It's a hip-length affair, and he's worn hose with it, and dark brown boots. There's a royal blue sahs wrapped many times around his midriff, into a wide belt, and a leather belt buckled and tied around his waist to hold it there. The gloves he wears match his boots.

His hair and moustache have been immaculately groomed too, and he has his dreagon-headed staff slung on his back by a leather strap. Of course he's going to come looking coordinated! He's not a barbarian. And this outfit IS the height of Tevinter fashion. It's also a few years old. But it still fits, and it still looks good, so that's all that's important.

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
Allan grins as he looks over his shoulder to Yari. "If it killed me, would it even stick?" Quickly he turns around to face her. "Nice to know you found us! My Boys are fine, Neal's... off being himself somewhere, probably bugging random people with his idea of encouragement. So, how's life free of the Feds and Union treating ya? Nice not having those damn factions hanging overhead right?" Despite whatever reputation he may have Allan is surprisingly all smiles today.

Happy ones, not one of those toothy 'Imma bout to murder someone' grins.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari chuckles happily. "I'm glad to hear it. Tell Neal to try to relax more. It's good for him." Offers the woman, in almost maternal fashion. She's been doing that a lot lately.

Her smile slips just a bit. "My Empire is in chaos, and already using me as a bargaining chip. I haven't seen Sanary since. My foster daughter is missing." There's a small package given to Allan. Inside? A picture of a young korean girl, as well as possible last locations of a certain cleric-warrior.

"I won't ask charity. Just keep an eye out. I'll pay you, of course."

Business done, she finally relaxes. Shoulders slump. "Right now I want to forget about the Multiverse, politics, and just get as drunk as I can and find someone cute to dance with."

Blink. She turns. Is that...

"Mister Pavus? Is that you?" Seems she's remembered the mage!

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
Annie heard Allan's invitation and decided to make a visit. From what she'd heard, their host used to be part of the Confederacy. Once, she would have totally refused such an invitation, but she'd changed, as had the Multiverse. Now, she realized that in the relative chaos of the post-megafaction world, the side of good would need all the help it could get. She'd had a brief chance to meet some of her new allies earlier on business, but this would be the first time she'd be meeting any of them outside of business.

She arrives on the road and joins the others, looking fairly relaxed. "Hello," she says to those gathered with a smile.

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
Hearing his surname, Dorian blinks, and turns to face the direction it came from. And he smiles broadly when he sees who it is. "Ah, greetings," he offers, with a bow. And he also extends his hand. Though if Yari takes hold of it, she'll find not a handshake, but a kiss of her hand! Dorian is a formal, noble sort, after all. "I'm glad to see you've managed to come through the aftermath of the Multiverse's virulent stomach flu little worse for wear, from the looks of it."

Annie's greeting also gets a nod of the same from Dorian. "Greetings to you as well," he offers politely, with a pleasant smile.

Lumeria (898) has posed:
Lumeria smiles back at Yari, not being familar with the lizard woman. The millitary officer makes her a bit uneasy on the other hand. She is a political hostage after all, yet a willing one. It seems like the host of the party, the woman, and the office know each other already. The if it kill me would it stick comment certainly gets her attention though? Does Allan have some kind of regenerative ability or he is undead? "And what exactly do you mean by that?" She can't help but to wonder.

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
Allan frowns as he looks over the picture. "If I spot anything, I'll send it your way free. As for booze?" He grins. "It's a working town, I'm sure you'll find plenty." He then nods to Lumeria. "Oh? That. Let's just say me and death don't quite see eye-to-eye. Nothing you need to worry about.

Dorian gets a nod, as well as Anne. "Looks like we've had a good turnout so far. Anyway welcome to Stealcliff everyone. The Red Union's own little corner of the Multiverse. Feel free to look around. Just don't cause any trouble and things will be fine."

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Dorian is a gentleman. That kiss of the hand and bow has the ninja returning the bow! She doesn't quite blush, but she does give a well pleased look! If only everyone were so kind and polite!

"The same. I never did get to properly thank you for...what you did for my family. Drinks are on me tonight." After all, with her new 'partners', she's not going to have many money concerns. Then, she turns to Annie as well. Another smile and bow.

"Glory and honor! Yari Takane, nice to meet you." She'll keep the politics out of things for now. Probably for the best.

Lumeria's question isn't answered by Yari, of course. She'll let Allan handle that.

Yari blinks, then snaps a sharp salute to Allan. "It's been an honor working with you and the Red Union, Sir." Turning, she's already toddling off to the next mini-bar. More booze. This time a local brew. Pardon her while she gets in a festive mood!

Finna (513) has posed:
SOMEHOW, a white-furred fox has managed to go the entire party unnoticed, snitching food off of plates when nobody was looking. Zigzagging between party-goers. Eyes tended to slide from it, attention quickly drawn elsewhere when the mind began to take note of it by the sheer dint of NOISE. SMELLS. PEOPLE!

But now the little creature's eaten a decent fill and decided to, rather randomly, leap up onto one of the tables and curl her body up against her fluffy tail to digest. Far more noticeable now!

There's a fox in your midst. And both the fur on its tail and ears seems to glint with a silvery sheen in the light.

Lumeria (898) has posed:
Of course Allan's response just leaves Lumeria with more questions. Though she has a enough common sense not to piss off the guy with the shotgun especially when he has friends present. Maybe she can learn more second-hand if she sticks around though. The young girl gets her curiousity, there has to be more than it seems. No one would let in ordinary child wonder around in a place like this. Of course then the stray fox gets her attention. Foxes generally tended to avoid people unless there was something wrong. Hopefully this one doesn't have rabies.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
That table is soon filled with a drinking Yari. Also Finna gets gentle ear-scritches. There's a tiny saucer put down, and filled. That's right, even the wildlife is getting drunk tonight if Yari has anything to say about it.

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
"It's pretty impressive," Annie says. "It kind of reminds me of... the leprechauns from Alfheim." She grins at her silly reference. She's not familiar with Lumeria, and the converse of that seems to be true as well, so Annie turns to the elfir. "I'm Annie Sandberg. It's nice to meet you." She looks to the fox as well, at first wondering if it might be some sort of Pokemon. "And... hello to you too!" she adds to the fox.

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
Allan Frowns at Yari. "OI! come on! no need for the formalities here. I'm not some military big wig." He then gives the fox a curious look. "Aw hell did someone bring their pet?" He sighs as he trudges over to the table "Alright, there a tag on something on this thing? We can't have animals running around, last *^ing thing we need is some old lady crying her eyes out as we pull bits of her little precious out of some old piece of industrial equipment. It was depressing enough the first time thanks."

Lumeria (898) has posed:
"Oh sure, let's get the stray and possible rabid fox drunk, that's sure to end real well." Lumeria can't helieve this. Her attention turns towards Annie, "Hello, my name is Lumeria, where are your parents at?" Her ears go back a bit at that the girl's earlier comment. She didn't just call her a leprechaun did she?

Thankfully for Annie, Allan's comment gets her attention. "I suppose I should see if it's hurt." She's kind of a jerk but she's still a light mage, and her sister would make her suffer if she didn't help an animal in trouble. "Back me up if it tries anything." She certainly doesn't want to get bit as she approaches Finna.

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
The words of drinks being Yari's treat get a smile from Dorian. "You're very kind," he replies. As for helping Yari? That gets a bit of a sad look. Just briefly, mind you, and then his usual smile is back. "I understand being separated from one's family. Even if it's necessary, it's never fun." He's not planning on getting completely drunk, but hey... if it happens, it happens, right?

Though seeing the fox gets a blink. And then Yari's actions get another blink. "Ah, I don't think that's a very good idea," he offers to Yari. No, he's not aware that the fox is a person. Or that the person is a fox, whichever fits better. So he'll try to shoo the little fox away. Gently, mind. Though as Lumeria approaches, he pauses in these efforts, and stands back to watch just in case.

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
"My parents?" Annie questions Lumeria, before laughing a bit. "Well, my mother's doing quite well at home I presume. But despite how I look, I'm actually quite capable of taking care of myself," she explains. "I'm an android, so even though I look like a child, I'm not."

Finna (513) has posed:
THIS particular breed of fox also belongs in the far north, lands dominated by ice and snow for much of the year. The chance that it's someone's escaped pet is maybe more sensible than it escaped through a warp gate. It softly 'chrooos' at Lumeria's approach, happily leans into Yari's scritches and sets to licking up a small helping of the offered drink!

    Nothing odd about that, right?

Once the critter's had enough of that it offers a happy cry Annie's way, as if returning the greeting.

Allan's foul-mouthed approach gets the creature to tilt her head a few times and give him the most SKEPTICAL LOOK he might've ever gotten from an animal.

Quite swiftly the little creature rises to all fours and VAULTS high in the air. As it somersaults spectacularly its shape changes, fur receding in favor of flesh and clothing.

With a rather solid *WHUMPF* Finna lands in her typical risque huntress leathers. For once the Moonsilver tattoos that cover her whole body aren't suppressed - they're in full view across her flesh. The fox ears and tail both remain, and she makes a show of tossing a long plume of white hair that matches her previous color over her shoulder.

"Doesn't take long for someone to get all wound up. Sure this is a party? Needs more cheering if you ask me!" The once-vixen waggles a finger playfully Allan's way... then promptly HURLS herself at Dorian to playfully swing around and piggyback onto him!

    "LOTS MORE!"

Lumeria (898) has posed:
Lumeria looks a bit surprised by the transformation, "A drunken kitsune, I should have known." Yes, the world she's from has fox people. "Just don't jump on my back." The squishy Elfir mage would likely fall over if Finna did.

Her attention turns back towards Annie, "If I were an android, I think I would to be able to pass an adult. I spent more than enough time as a child." That was one of the downsides of being an Elfir it took longer to grow up. "It's annoying still being a child when your friends are adults."

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
Suddenly the fox is a scantily-clad huntress with fox ears and tail! And then she is HURLING herself at Dorian! He oofs, stumbling, but keeping his footing. He's tougher than he looks, and definitely not the 'squishy mage' that those who know his vocation might expect. "Madam, I know I am bloody irresistable, but please do control yourself," he teases. That he's teasing is clear because of the chuckle in his voice.

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
Allan grins as Anne explains what she is. "Oh good. That mean I can keep swearing then?" He then turn to Finna, tilting his head from side to side before simply grunting. "If yer gonna do that fine, but keep it out of the factories ok?" He grins. "Anyway Welcome to Steelcliff. Former Union right? Don't remember you killing me but eh, hatchet's buried either way. Enjoy the city."

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
Annie considers Lumeria's words. "That's true. But there are a lot of benefits too. I can fit into smaller spaces... and a child is easily underestimated," she points out. "It'd also take more energy to run a larger body. If I find that I need to look like an adult in the future, I'll make the upgrade. But right now, I don't need to." She frowns a bit at Allan's quip about swearing. "...I suppose you could. Now then... are we just going to stand around or will we do something?"

Finna (513) has posed:
"Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? It's a party!" Finna playfully tease-whines back, swinging like a pendulum for a few seconds on Dorian's back before she disengages and settles for skipping happily towards the table again, tail wagging up a storm like an overjoyed canine's!

Lumeria (898) has posed:
"Yeah, try being a child for 65 years and then get back to me on that." Lumeria's attention then turns towards Allan, "How can you take getting killed so lightly? Are you under some kind of immortal curse?" She's not big on pain herself.

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
It's a good thing Finna lets go when she does, Dorian was about to topple over. And that would have been embarrassing. Would also have gotten his nice white outfit all dirty, too. But as it is, he stumbles a bit, and rights himself as she lets go. He chuckles nonetheless, and follows her in that direction. "Not like the parties back home, thankfully. There's a few too many slaves and not enough blood magic for that." There's more than a little wryness in his tone as he speaks.

Allan Bodily (123) has posed:
"Hey ya might as well get used to it." Allan replies to Annie. "Compared to what's out there? Me running with the censors off is nothing. Anyway. "He looks to the people gathered around. "feel free to look around, take in the sights, grab some food and a drink...Booze or otherwise. It's a new Multiverse. Let's try not to $^& it up this time ok?"

Finna (513) has posed:
"Wh--huah?" Finna turns to look over her shoulder back at Dorian, trying to figure out if he's serious about that or not. And what it implies. But she's apparently in an unfailingly happy mood because her tail telescopes out, slowly growing larger and larger.... and DEFINITELY PREHENSILE, because it lazily and loosely wraps the mage up. Not that he couldn't easily duck out of it.

    "NO MORE HUGE WAR!"

Finna (513) has posed:
The foxgirl then aims a shameless 'it can't be helped, whatcha gonna do?' look Allan's way. "It was an alliance of convenience anyways. Only a few FeddyFolk earned my personal ire! ... not for very long either..."

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
"Oh, you were part of the Union?" Annie asks Finna. "So was I! Well... an ally anyway. I never really got to do much for them before my personality-change, though," she explains. "I can change my appearance too, you know. Just not that much. Maybe we'll be able to work together sometime."

Dorian Pavus (774) has posed:
Sadly, no, he's not kidding. "Tevinter is a horrible place. It wasn't always. But yes. As our host says, it is a new Multiverse, let's try not to screw it up this time, yes?" He lifts a glass... only to get tailwrapped! He blinks, but doesn't seem all that disturbed. He's had stranger things happen. Besides, as long as the tail isn't crushing him, he's fine. So instead he places leans on her shoulder a bit. He's pretty sure she can handle his weight. And if not he can move. He's not that heavy anyway, as humans go.

Talk of the factions gets a sigh. "I never managed to find my way there. I'm not exactly hero material, either way." Which doesn't explain why he's in the Watch, but he's not going to say anything about that.

Finna (513) has posed:
No crushing, no! It's just an affectionate brushup of soft fluff! Though Finna wasn't expecting to suddenly have a hefty guy leaning against her. She totters a few inches but that's it - seems she's a tad stronger than she looks?

Of course. Exalts. They're weird like that.

"Mmmhm! Key word, 'were.' So nice to meet you as just me now!" She answers Annie, winking merrily.

A glance is aimed back at Dorian. The tail partially withdraw-unscrews, leaving it only wrapped around his waist like a second belt. The message is clear. 'I found my dancing partner!'

Annie Sandberg (437) has posed:
"It's nice to meet you too," Annie says, "as my new self!" She smiles, before heading off to listen to one of the performing bands.
