Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
It has been a long four-five days. Gaius was put out of combat thanks to a nasty confrontation with that Union's Bahamut. Though he had been released from medical, he was continue to remain on /LIGHT/ duty. Surly though, doing paper work in your quarter's little personal office space was light wasn't it?

Don't mind the fact he also had been polish his gunblade, cleaning its chamber, probably doing chin-ups-- then getting nasty cramp in the side from his body going: 'Don't do that!!' and not getting enough sleep. Or-- maybe he has been doing what he should be doing, cause again-- reading reports, books, and signing off on paper was indeed 'light', at least in his mind.

Though he did gain a bit of a nasty cough, but-- that would go away in time. At least most of the cuts, bruises, and cracks have been--healed-- mostly-- right.

So there sits Gaius in his office-library space, looking over some paper-work and drumming his pen on the table. He was mostly in his uniform. Though the shirt wasn't fully buttoned and the cuffs were unbuttoned as well with the sleeves slightly rolled up.

He was also lacking his shoes, though he did have socks on.

Ever so casual he was being, but then again-- these were no one who was going to bother him at this hour-- beyond perhaps.. one individual-- and she had proven to be a trust worthy ally where he believed she would not harm his dignity.

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
And sure enough, the promised vampire appears, though she knocks on the door, and lets him know over the radio that it's her ... Before she manifests inside the room, stepping out from one of the shadows near the door. "I had the feeling you wouldn't want to bother getting up, and since you already knew I was coming..."

She smiles and steps forward, "There would be no point in forcing you to get up." A mild expression of suprise briefly crosses her face, when she takes in ... how relaxed he is, before she gestures at a nearby chair, and quirks an eyebrow, as if to ask, shall I sit here?

"So what part of the report would you like first, Lord Van Baelsar? The good news? The bad news? Or the useful news?" She pauses and then grins slightly, "Or perhaps you'd like for me to conjure something up from the kitchen?"

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Gaius hears the comm, hears the knock, and suddenly there is a vampire mistress before him. Which causes him to raise a brow, "You do realize that one day you may decide to do such things and I may be completely inappropriate for any guests at all." He says with a serious tone, though there is a hint of humor in voice.

He then nods that she may indeed sit there, as he collects all the papers. Giving them a gentle tap on his desk and then rests them in their neat pile. He then reaches into the drawer to pull out a bottle that is rather a dark brown.

Gaius then places this bottle on his desk toward her, before moving his hand away. "Let us start with the bad news, move to the useful, then good... and that is yours." He moves his hand at the bottle, before leaning back in the chair.

As the Legatus does lean back though, he grimaces a little and then rubs his forehead gently.

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra chuckles softly, "I suspect that at that point, you won't have told me to come by and make my report." Golden brown eyes gleam with good humor, "And if it does happen that you're not properly clad, I'm certain that we both have the social graces to make properly awkward conversation while you're getting dressed."

With a chuckle she sinks into the chair and looks at the bottle for a moment, before sniffing it and smiles, "You truly are a gentleman, always looking out for a Lady's needs. Thank you." She gives him a second smile before relaxing into the chair, "Now... The Bad news. The primals are active. Or rather their followers are. Aid shipments, crystal shipments, they are going to move in Eorzea while it's weakened and some of them are going to attempt to gain a foothold. The Useful news is that we can use the devastation and the general situation to regain some of the honor the Empire lost due to Nael Van Darnus' actions. The good news is that everyone, save for the Empire is equally bad off, from the primal worshiping beastmen, to the Great City States. This could be a good chance for the empire to simply destroy any of the exposed Primal worshippers outright, before they can entrench themselves, and start tempering more people."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Gaius can only lightly smirk to Vi'Sharra's own playful retort yet when they get back to business, he starts tapping that pen again, before rolling it through his fingers. He remains very silent through the report and then closes his eyes while he lets his thoughts come together before he speaks.

Then pen comes to a halt once he opens his eyes once more. "So then, you are suggesting we perform a tactical strike on a Primal location? Though I would agree with this notion there are powers that be whom may not agree to such a thing."

The Legatus shakes his head gently. "I just lost a good deal of Magitek Vanguards today during an aid to take over a territory for the Confederacy.. there are a few Castrums near completion.. and until we are sure those are secure, I can't ask the men to move onto a beast men territory we know nothing about."

"If I was, then I'd be asking them to not only risk their lives-- but risk their intelligence." Gaius rubs the bridge of his nose. "..and it 'tis for this reason I can not freely make that call. Not unless we have a good eye on the cartography of that area."

He then places his hand down before he points at the bottle, "..and I do hope you enjoy that. It took a bit of work to manage to get it with no questions asked.. but even in the information you have given onto me and your continual service with grace, pose, and honor-- I can not simply let such service go without its just rewards."

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra sips the blood and smiles, "It's a good vintage, and I shall indeed enjoy it." She considers his words for a moment before nodding, "Then perhaps a tactical compromise. A group of Beastmen migrating or gathering to take a territory for their own would be visible from the air. However, I'm not saying that we should use tactical strikes on the Primals as of yet." She narrows her eyes slightly, "I'm saying we should destroy their followers while they're disoriented, weak, and not capable of summoning their Eikon." Her lips curl into a smile, "If there's no faith, and none remaining who know how to summon the Eikon..." She gives a half gesture, "Then we won't need to deal with them."

She pauses for a moment, and then nods. "In addition, I believe that an Eikon isn't the kind of creature that one can throw men at until it goes away." She considers for a moment before she nods, "I think... Keeping an eye on the various shipments, and figuring out where the Beastmen are moving from the air, would afford us some breathing room, and that information properly leaked to the variuos adventurers of the realm... ...May take care of the problem for us."

She shrugs, "Which leads to my second suggestion, and I think... You may both like it and dislike it."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Gaius continues to sit there, with little movement as she speaks. He doesn't seem to argue about the idea, but he doesn't say much on it. There is a long silence from him on the matter, before another gentle tap of the pen against his desk.

He stares at her with those gold eyes for that long silence, meeting her own amber gold eyes. There is no anger, just very deep contemplation. Weighing things in his mind of what she says. "I will take what you say into consideration and give it further forethought before I make a final decision." He at last says, taking then pen now in both hands, seeming to roll it between his finger tips.

"..so then-- what is this other suggestion?"

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra smiles slightly and nods to his reaction, "The other idea is to restore the Honor of the Empire by helping to clean up the mess that Van Darnus created. My suggestion is a fairly simple one. Use bad, unreliable cutouts to provide humanitarian aid to the three city states."

She smiles slightly, "Imagine their suprise when they eventually, after their saviors, the adventurers learn that the Empire was at least partly responsible for helping them to clothe themselves, to feed their families and support their children." She sips at the blood, "It will make things easier for you in the long run, and make it far more believable when someone learns that Operation Meteor only went forward, through outside treatury, and the ignorance of the Empire to the abilities of the Eikons. The same group of Eikons that are currently making a rather large menace of themselves in a certain desert."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Gaius listens to the new suggestion from Vi'Sharra and his jaw clenches slightly. He places down the pen and actually goes to stand up. Though he does grimace a bit as he does so. "That is-- another idea I will need to weigh on as we have little in the way of people whom can blend in, beyond well," He then motions to her, with a slight head cant, before he goes to look over some of the books he has there.

"I would have no problem with it in the end, but they could also see it as an act of deception...and in turn, snarl at us with even greater ferocity. As I am sure you have seen-- there are some cultures whom are.. very set in their ways." The Legatus then pulls down a book before he flips through its pages, seeming to skim it.

"But even if they do come to realize that we are not with the Eikons-- there is still the other matter at hand," He then snaps the book shut before he turns to look at her. "Eorzea will fall under Garlean control once the Eikons.. the Primals.. are dealt with." He the places the book back in its spot. "..and though I do wish I could state to them that if they are willing to work with us, join us.. we could easily remove the problem-- they are too rooted to even think of such a chance."

His eyes narrow slightly. "..in some ways I loath what is happening, yet in other ways-- I am hoping by the continual pressure that when we do go to push.. they will buckle and surrender.. instead of continuing to believe in their false gods and thinking that under belief of such beings they are safe from our hand."

"But again, these are all maters that must be heavily thinked on and discussed further with some of those I trust under my command."%

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra nods, "Perhaps they would see it as a form of deception, some of them will, no doubt, but at the same time... I think it need not even be Garleans that distribute the food. In addition..." Her voice trails off for a moment, "You would still be generating a tactical advantage, and I think you and some of your people would feel better for knowing that it was being done."

She shrugs, "But enough of that. I fear I have one other bit of bad news. One that I may be able to mitigate slightly. There may be a primal for every beast tribe. I believe that with a bit of effort, I could get them into something more ... lethal then the resource war they're in with each other right now."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Gaius stays quiet once more, but when Vi'Sharra brings up the ordeal with Primals and something more lethal, he looks directly at her, "Go on."

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra smiles slightly, "In some places they're already doing everything they can to raid the trade routes for crystals." She sips the bottle of blood, "So. I step in and slaughter two of the raiding parties of the beast men who are close to each other, and arrange things ... artfully, so that they blame each other."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
"If that is what you wish to do, you will have no argument from me." Gaius remarks as he looks over to her with a mild smile, though as he looks away he grimaces a bit and then starts to actually /walk/ out of the smaller office-library space into the main living area.

There is a mild limp in his walk as he moves and he rolls his shoulder a bit before he gives it a rub, once he comes back around, he looks toward her. "Is there anything else you wish to present to me?"

Vi'Sharra (487) has posed:
Vi'Sharra laughs softly, "I'm certain I could find at least one other thing if you were really interested but... No, I have nothing else concrete, except for the thought that I need to go searching for answers amongst the beastmen." She shrugs, and grins at Gaius slightly, "Should I have brought you more?"
