Cast of Characters: 191, 430

Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
The One Star district condos! Since that whole business with the Fight Club and Mako rescinding her Two Star status, things balanced out to put the family here rather than back in the Honnou slums. Which suits Mako just fine. All the amenities that make life more comfortable but none of the blinding, hedonistic luxury that was destroying the people closest to her.

Sukuyo hums cheerfully in the kitchen, scooting this way and that amidst a clatter of dishes and pots. The whole condo is filled with the scent of fried meat, though exactly what kind of meat is a mystery courtesy of how the woman's countertop never seems to be clearly visible.

Barazo, the family patriarch, sits at the table with Mataro and the dog Guts, playing cards. By the conversation, the elder is teaching the younger how to cheat at poker. The two exchange snickers right up until the hoodie-wearing pug puts down a perfect hand.

Mako herself leans on the balcony railing, her chin propped on her hands, staring off across Honnou Town and into Tokyo Bay. She hums as well, the same tune as Sukuyo without even realizing it. After a few moments, she leans back with a stretch and props her hands on the railing, "I won't get tired of seeing a horizon instead of the side of the neighbor's house outside our windows!"

Satsuki Kiryuin (430) has posed:
Whatever passes for a doorbell on the one-star Mankanshoku household, it rings once and once again, informing Mako and her family that a visitor has arrived. And anyone who looks out any of the windows on the road-facing side of the house will have no trouble whatsoever spotting who that visitor is.

It's kind of hard to miss Ira Gamagoori, after all.

With a car parked outside on the street, the Disciplinary Committee chair stands straight as a board in front of the front door, still wearing his Three-Star Uniform and holding a familiar, folded two-star in one hand.

Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Ah!" Mako leans out over the railing at the sound of the doorbell, "Gamagoori-sempai~!" Balancing precariously with one hand, she raises the other to wave, greeting the enormous senior student in her own Mako way, "Hi! Welcome, I'll be right down!"

Mako's hand slips. With a 'whoop!' she tips right over the railing and drops from the balcony completely in a flip of legs and skirt and coconut hair. Mid-fall, she flips around as if she's going to land feet-first. Did Mako actually plan this kind of greeting intentionally?!

She keeps flipping and hits the sidewalk head-first with a "Gnak!" sound.

    Guess not.

When her body finally crumples down, Mako's form fluidly rolls with it until she comes up on her feet, rubbing a bit of blood from her nose, that bright smile of hers still on her face, "Ah, welcome to my house! Please, come in."

The house meanwhile is in chaos, with shouts from Mataro about 'The Fuzz' and Barazo trying to reign the kid in, Guts barking up a storm. It's Sukuyo's placid face that answers the door, "Disciplinary Commitee Chairman Gamagoori Ira, what a pleasure. Please, come in~." A bow and the Mankanshoku Matriarch steps aside, "Mako told me you'd be visiting for dinner."

Satsuki Kiryuin (430) has posed:
"Mankanshoku-!" There's actually a bit of alarm in Gamagoori's tone, largely because he's never really dealt with one of Mako's overexuberant entrances first-hand. The fact she seems to be (more or less) none the worse for the wear has him looking at her in baffled surprise.

And then there is a parent, and Gamagoori immediately responds with a polite bow of his own. "Miss Mankanshoku, I presume. That won't be necessary- I had only planned to return Mankanshoku's uniform to her. I wouldn't want to cause problems for your family." He's already holding out the two-star uniform for Mako.

Mako Mankanshoku (191) has posed:
"Oh~!" Sukuyo straightens, concern on her face suddenly, "Okay then. I understand. One moment, please~." She bows and turns, scurrying into the condo once more with the door left open.

Mako, meanwhile, looks quite surprised by the Chairman's words, "Oh." Glancing down at the uniform thrust towards her, she reaches out to take it in both hands, drawing the folded cloth and Life Fiber to her chest securely while looking back up towards the face of the enormous Chairman, "Okay! Though you wouldn't be causing trouble, I know you're a super busy guy and that'd be kind of a sudden choice to make." She bows politely, "Thank you, Gamagoori-sempai! We'll have you over for dinner properly when you're not so busy with what you need to do."

Cue Sukuyo arriving back at the door, just finishing the task of tieing a festive bandana covered in cartoon bunnies around a lunchbox. In both hands, she holds it up to Ira, a warm smile on her face, "Since you can't stay, take some for the road~."

Satsuki Kiryuin (430) has posed:
It is almost certainly the first time Ira Gamagoori has been invited to someone's house for dinner. The surprised, slightly perplexed look on his face says it all. And it only doubles when he is handed a box of food by Sukuyo. Blinkblinkblink. Oh god, wat do? "Er, thank you," he finally says, trying to fall back on politeness for lack of any real ideas how to respond. "Mankanshoku, I expect you to take good care of this uniform in the future." It's a valiant attempt to be Gamagoori. But it sort of falters with the awkwardness of the situation for him.
