Cast of Characters: Yang Xiao Long, 1119

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Third Gear, aboard one of the Linecities. Duty Hangar 3, Linerunner bay.

Yang is still aboard the Linerunner, her right arm in a brace and splint, left leg bound up as well causing her to limp when she walks. She's still swaddled up in bandages, showing other areas of damage from the close encounter of the mouthlaser-and-metal wall-kind.

It'd be a simple task finding directions to the hangar. Most folks in the city are willing to help out.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
That's fortunate, that people are willing to give directions. Hopefully Yang has also told them that there's someone coming that's offered to help try to heal her injuries. Though unless she's specified what her intended benefactor looks like, he might get a few looks.

Because... well, he's a punk. And he looks it, if one's familiar with the appearance of Japanese delinquency. It's a teenager in a purple school uniform, with his hair in a pompadour, with a lot of gold decorations on his uniform. Though he's actually quite a bit bigger than a normal Japanese teen from Earth. But aside from that he looks like a normal Earth kid.

Assuming they do still point him to the right direction, Josuke will eventually find her. "Hey," he greets, when he finally sees her. And then a wince. "Wow... you look like you'd been knocked around pretty good," he observes. He's not going to ask if she's OK; clearly she's not or he wouldn't be here!

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang didn't tell anyone, but the Hylotls, Florans and other beings from Starbound Flotilla's 'verse have seen weirder than this kid, so happily provide directions. "Oh, yesssss," comes one floran, hissing with a smile on their plant-like face that looks more like a grimace. "Blonde burning one. Hangar bay three. Came in with otherssss after beating the Sssssaint of Glassssss back on Sssssecond Gear." The Floran points the way, then returns to what they were doing.

Yang is aboard the Linerunner, it's distinct from the other Linecraft in the bay, mostly because of the mishmash of Linegear strapped to it to let it function at the speeds required. The blonde brawler is working on her bike, fumbling with the wrench as Josuke speaks up. "DAAAH! Dust and Fire man, don't sneak up on a girl like that!" she says, picking up the wrench then wiping her brow, smudging grease with her sleeve. "Yeah, well you could say that, getting lasered to the face then smashed into the side of an armoured metal wall without Aura'd do that to ya."

Yang grins. She seems in good spirits, her sense of humour recovered, even if her body is lagging behind. "Sometimes I miss the Union... I'd have been back on my feet fighting in a week on Njorun's medical level."

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
Josuke really doesn't know what Yang's been up to, not even after the floran tells him. But he nods and thanks the floran nonetheless -- it's not going to be important, most likely. Yang's what's important; she's hurt, and he can most likely fix that.

Though once he realizes that he's startled her, Josuke gives a sheepish look. "Oops. Sorry, didn't mean to scare you," he offers, a hand at the back of his neck. And he cringes a little when she tells him what she's had happen to her. "Oh, OUCH!" he exclaims. "That's why I try to keep my Stand between me and danger. Sure, it hurts when my Stand gets hit... but it hurts less than when I get hit."

The mention of the Union gets a thoughtful pout. Pouts are, after all, how Josuke communicates much of his facial body language. "I hear about the Union a lot... though I think my world unified after it broke up," he notes. "So I didn't get a chance to really see what it was like."

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
"Yeah... I was kinda doing my berserk thing, I only know what happened because people told me after the fact." she replies, shrugging, then wincing as the gesture pulls something inside. "I've been trying to keep myself busy tuning Bumblebee for the next leg of the journey out here while I wait for my Aura to heal my wounds, but there's so many it takes a lot of stamina to keep it up so it can work."

As if on queue, a golden shimmer ripples across her body, then vanishes with a soft 'fizzle' sound. She staggers after that, leaning back against her bike with a soft gasp.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
"Berserk thing?" Josuke inquires. The situation has never really allowed him to observe her in detail during one of her 'berserk' fits, even if he's seen her do it, so he might not have been able to tell. However, when Yang staggers, Josuke moves to her side quickly, intent on assisting her if possible. "Yikes, are you okay?" It's a rhetorical question, kind of, but he's also asking if she's stable enough for him to try to heal her.

"Okay... I learned something called 'Hamon' from an ancestor of mine. It's... well, it seems better for healing living people than what I usually do," he explains. "If something non-living is broken, I can fix that too, but not with this. But, I'm still learning it how to use the Hamon properly. Do you mind if I use that, since it's better for healing living things? If it doesn't work, I'll use my Stand."

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang nods, pressing a hand to Josuke's chest to ease him back. "Yeah, my Aura just depleted is all." she takes a shakey breath, then straightens again. "Like I said, it takes a lot of stamina." She tilts her head curiously, listening to Josuke with a knitted brow.

"Well, what more harm could it do than I've already had?" she asks, using her bike as a seat. "Do I need to do anything for this, or just stay still and not faint?" she asks, smirking at her own quip.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
Josuke stands back when prompted, with a nod when she explains what's going on. It's a little worrying, though, and he doesn't know enough about Aura to be able to tell if she's just telling him it's all right so he won't worry or not. Though he's the type that... well, he's gonna worry anyway. At least he's not doing that 'because she's a girl'. He worries about anyone like that.

He smirks a little, the gesture a little nervous. "That's basically it. And try not to yell or do anything to startle me. Though at least with using Hamon to heal it, there's no chance of warping the injury permanently. And I can always try again without anything bad happening." Which is probably another reason he wanted to try to use the Hamon this time, instead of his Stand.

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang nods to Josuke. "That's fine... y'need me to lie down, or sit somewhere?" she asks, gesturing to her leg. "I'm a bit limited in where I can get to easily." she adds, then pushes off her bike, aiming to slug the delinquent in the shoulder lightly. "Don't sound so worried."

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
"Either one will work," Josuke offers. He gives a surprised grunt at the slug in the arm, and staggers back a step himself. Even injured, Yang's strength is nothing to sneeze at! However, he chuckles. "Sorry. Force of habit, I'm afraid."

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang nods at the response, then seats herself back on her bike, settling in on the vehicle and holding herself stable. "Alright then, ready when you are." she says, consciously suppressing her Aura so it doesn't activate at an inopportune time.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
Josuke nods at the go-ahead. He takes a breath, and then pauses. "Oh. Right." He does think to warn her, "I'm going to have to touch you for this to work. I'm just going to touch your arm, if that's okay." Always have to point that out, warn ahead, just in case Yang doesn't like being touched. It might look weird, since he's a boy. But yes. Forewarned is forearmed! And Josuke REALLY doesn't want to get seriously punched by Yang.

Though, once that warning is delivered, he goes to stand beside her, and closes his eyes. He pushes his abdominal muscles in and up, to push all of the air out of his lungs. Holds. Breathes in. Holds. He repeats this a couple of times... and then he holds an emptied-lung exhale for a heartbeat longer. And then he draws in a deep breath. This inhalation makes a 'kooooh' sound.

Suddenly the room might seem a bit brighter. And as he reaches out for Yang's arm, unless something happens to intercept him, she might notice that... his hand is warm. Far warmer than it should be. Not hot enough to burn or scorch, though. The kind of warmth that comes from a warm sweater, the kind that a normal human craves in the winter, the kind from lovingly made soup in the belly, that comes from being wrapped in a warm blanket and drinking hot chocolate.

That warmth seeks to spread from Josuke's fingers, seeking out the injuries in Yang's body and seeking to correct them. This is a good deal slower than using his Stand... and possibly not as strong. However, he does have experience with staying in this state for long periods of time. His own Stand can't heal himself, and he gets into trouble enough to hurt himslf fairly often. Hamon is his only way to heal. So he can remain like this for a while.

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang shrugs again. "I don't get all bent out of shape about people touching me." she replies, then watches curiously at the preparation work. Then, she blinks at the warmth radiating from the boy's hand, seeking out the fractures in her bones, slowly knitting them together. She feels it working, much like her own Aura, but in fast forward.

Remembering the warnings, she doesn't speak or move so she doesn't break his concentration, but she definitely looks appreciative.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
Josuke loses track of time while he's transmitting the healing warmth. He just continues, until either he can feel her damaged body knitting itself back together finally... or until he has to 'relax' whatever it is that's transmitting the healing warmth. And when he does, he's visibly worn out from it.

He breathes more deeply now, visibly sweating, as though he's run quite some distance. "There..." he notes, on a deep exhalation. "How well did it do?" He'll look at the injuries as well as he can, though not wanting to disturb what ones he hasn't managed to fix.

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
Yang flexes her hand. "Well, the arm's fixed... and I think you got the ribs too, but my leg still hurts and, well, it didn't fix me up completely, but I wasn't expecting it to." she replies, pulsing her aura and breaking the brace on her arm, giving it a stretch. "I can punch again, that's all that really matters." she adds, then shifts to give Josuke a hug, being careful not to crush him with her raw strength. "Thanks. I mean it."

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
Josuke nods. "I'm not as experienced with Hamon as I am with my Stand. But the Stand could have messed things up even worse if I'd lost concentration. This is slower, and not as complete, but it also had less chance of messing up. Hopefully your Aura can pick up the slack." She had said something about an 'aura', right? That it could heal her? If nothing else, Josuke hopes, he's managed to restore that 'Aura' so that she can get herself back in order more quickly.

"If nothing else, you're at least better than you were, from the looks of it -- whoa!" That reaction, of course, was to her arm cast exploding! Though of course he's going to return the hug! Not just because she's a girl, either. Because... c'mon, who doesn't love hugs?

Josuke smiles, and as he steps back, notes, "I'm just glad it worked. I could use the practice, too. Mister Joestar talked about what he'd heard about Hamon, that HIS teacher said there were people over in Tibet who could heal a person, body and soul, with just a touch. I'm not nearly that good. But I can work at it until I am!"

Yang Xiao Long has posed:
"Knowing you? You'll be giving out the healing touches in no time flat." she remarks, grinning a bit. "If y'wanna stick around, I could use some help with Bumblebee... or you could take in the Linecity. This place is pretty amazing, it's a giant hovercraft, and because of the way this area known as The Line works, we're currently travelling at nearly lightspeed." she gestures to the hangar doors as they groan open. The sky wierd, the area behind the craft red-shifted, tinting everything slower than the city a shade of crimson.

Josuke Higashikata (1119) has posed:
"I can hope!" Josuke replies, with a broad smile. It's one of those goofy grins that he pulls off when he's feeling happy. Though when Yang notes she could use help, he nods. "Sure, I can help out. Uh, though I'll warn I don't know much about fixing a motorcycle." Unless he uses his Stand, of course.

The explanation gets a blink, and then as the doors open, he looks out. "Whoooooa..." he breathes. "It's safe to open those, right? I mean, we're not gonna get sucked out there like out of an airlock in space, are we?"
