Battle For Phase Rock
Date of Scene: 29 October 2014
Location: TARGET: Phase Rock (PR)
Synopsis: Zod's in a bad mood and decides to get in a fight to blow off some steam by attacking Phase Rock. Taylita responds and seems more than happy to beat the bad mood out of Zod.
Cast of Characters: 180, 524

General Zod (524) has posed:
Rocketing out of the sky like a meteor from the blue, the former Kryptonian General hits the ground near the Union garrison, a plume of dust and dirt shooting into the air and a shockwave rattling the area. Zod strides forward from the dust, armored but without the traditional long flowing cape that Kryptonians seem to love, facing down the grunts with an impressive looking scowl.
"Retreat or die.", he tells them. A simple ultimatium. Who pissed in Zod's corn flakes today?

Taylita (180) has posed:
The local garrison clears out quickly, calling for backup as they go. And, help isn't far away. Moments after the call goes out, a blue twinkle in the sky appears, then quickly grows in size as it approaches. It is soon obvious that it is a young woman surrounded by a flaming blue aura. She closes in on Zod quickly and lands hard a short distance away and in front of him.

She stands slowly, then folds her arms over her chest and smirks, her aura still burning around her. "Who're you? And what makes you think you can just barge in here and boss the Union's troops around?" she says as the air pressure from her aura blows her hair and tail about and creates an impressive windstorm around her.

General Zod (524) has posed:
Zod folds his arms and glares at Taylita. "Lieutenant Zod of the Confederate Elite Forces. Are you defending this asset?" He doesn't seem much for words today.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita nods. "That's right. So, you'd better be expecting a tough fight. Because I'm the saiyan warrior Taylita! Even Colonel Serori can't defeat me." Taylita smirks as she sees that glare. "Fine."

With that, she launches herself at Zod in one of her favorite opening moves. She flies through the air, spiraling gracefully as she goes. She pulls herself vertical again just as she is coming in toward Zod, and channels all her spiraling energy into a powerful kick aimed at Zod's side. "Kyaaaa!!"

General Zod (524) has posed:
The General reacts with superhuman alacrity, deflecting the blow with a heavy gauntlet to avoid the worst of the kick and absorbing the impact by letting the momentum carry him back in a semi-circle. The gauntlet certainly is worse for wear, losing some of the armor on it.
Equally quick is the counterattack, a whipcrack of the sound barrier being broken as Zod's fist comes crashing inward at Taylita's mid-section, just below the rib-cage.
"I was hoping for a challenge today!" he snarls.

Taylita (180) has posed:
The punch comes in, and hits...nothing. Taylita's form blurrs just as the fist connects, and for a moment it seems as though she disappeared.

She reappears right above the General, already in the middle of another attack. She is spinning forward, bringing her foot down in another powerful kick, this time aimed right at Zod's head! "You're tangling with a saiyan! A challenge is the least you can hope for!" she declares, grinning.

General Zod (524) has posed:
Zod leans backwards as the kick comes down, the Saiyan's foot shattering the breastplate of his armor and leaving a nice foot wide (but not a 'foot' wide) gash down the front of the armor.
Fine, she wants to play with speed. Zod moves, and moves fast enough that he looks like he's flickering like a badly animated cartoon. They're feints and such, these punches, elbow smashes, and chops, designed to corral Taylita into a moment of weakness so Zod can land that right cross on the side of the saiyan warrior's face.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita falls for the feints, blocking and dodging the weaker attacks until finally that last one catches her right across the face. It sends her spiraling away and when she hits the ground she goes tumbling a short distance before she is able to recover. She grins when she looks back toward Zod. "Not much of a talker, are you?" she says as she stands up straight again. "I guess that's alright. Talking isn't really needed for fighting."

She raises both her hands and aims the palms at the General. "But, it does make things a bit more interesting!" she says before she fires twin beams from her hands. The two beams of bright blue energy lance toward Zod at amazing speed, and if they impact they explode against him. The hit is somewhere between an energy blast and a kinetic shot, both searing and punching her target.

General Zod (524) has posed:
"We're both warriors. Talking is a distraction." He says, simply and clearly before Taylita unleashes energetic /death/.
The beams barely graze Zod as he starts barreling towards Taylita and swerves to avoid, the beam instead managing to knock off the rest of the breastplate on his right. The motion of dodging it though, snaps the anchors on the right arm of the suit, flinging the remains of the gauntlet, upper arm, and shoulder armor off and embedding it in the dirt around the fighting pair. Zod seems more agile with that arm now, so why would he even bother with the armor?
Zod leaps at Taylita after building up some momentum, leading with his still-gauntleted left arm, from which a long slender spike has snapped into place.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita tries to dodge, but isn't fast enough this time. She cries out as that spike stabs into her shoulder, then growls grabs Zod's arm where the spike is piercing her. "M-maybe, but...concentrating too hard can be bad, too!" she says as she lifts herself up, then kicks Zod with both legs at the same time, aiming at his chest, and using the momentum to get herself unimpaled.

She flips backward through the air, only to land a short distance away. Blood flows freely from her shoulder, but she just ignores it, instead following up her double kick with another shot of ki energy, this time a single orb that explodes like a bomb upon impact.

General Zod (524) has posed:
Zod is knocked backwards into the garrison building by the chi-blast, and if one watches carefully, one can see the boots, gauntlets, and shoulder pad fly off the Kryptonian before the dust plume erupts from the impact and billows outward. Is he... down?
The answer to that would be a resounding 'no' as there's a horribly loud squeal of ripping metal from within the building. Then a newly turretless tank comes hurtling out of the garrison building at Taylita, followed by an armorless (but undersuit-clad) Zod flying at the Saiyan, carrying the turret. Midway to Taylita, Zod hurls the turret at the Saiyen too, pouring on speed as he attempts to body-slam a (hopefully) distracted Taylita at those kinds of speeds.
"A distraction for one's opponent." he shouts at Taylita, a toothy predatory grin spreading across his face.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Flying tank?! Taylita blinks in surprise, then quickly dodges the tank's main body and parries the tank's turret before catching it. "If you think talking is distracting, try this!" she says, seeming to be enjoying herself. She holds the turret by the barrel, then swings it like a baseball bat as Zod comes flying in toward her.

No doubt the impact is like getting hit with a shell from a large cannon. Which...wouldn't be a problem if Zod were on his dimension's earth. But here in the Multiverse?

General Zod (524) has posed:
The tank turret hits, despite the Kryptonian's last minute tuck into a roll, sending him careening sideways across the ground, kicking up dirt clods and grass. Even on Zod's Earth, only Superman or Nam-Ek can shrug off tank shells. And vehicle-scale missiles? Well, those take the piss right out of a Kryptonian (unless your name is Nam-Ek, and even /he/ starts thinking twice about sticking around...) There is a Zod-shaped defomation in the tank turret though, a quiet testament to just how durable his people are.
Zod gets to his feet, a slight ringing in his ears, covered with streaks of mud across his face, hands, and undersuit. Black veins form around his eyes as they flare with incadescent light. Two beams of white-hot energy burst out, aimed at the tank turret in Taylita's hand. Specifically the ammunition container.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita thinks for a moment that Zod missed. She even starts to charge in for another attack, but before she has really moved, the magazine explodes inside the turret. Taylita is engulfed in the blast, then there is a burst of smoke from the explosion as Taylita is blasted clear. She flies in a low arc across the battlefield, then crashes into the ground. Her body plows a nice furrow in the ground before finally stopping.

When she rises from the ground, she looks pretty battered. "That was pretty smart. I didn't even think about the unused shells inside the tank." she says, wiping at her mouth with the back of her hand. "But...I'm not one to give up easily. If ever." she says. She braces herself, then launches at Zod again. She flies in fast, then ducks low just before she would impact him and flips backward to bring a foot up, aimed right at his chin.

General Zod (524) has posed:
    "I wouldn't expect you to."
Zod takes one in the face, the kick is going to leave an impression of Taylita's foot on his cheek. He did manage to twist and avoid the brunt of it, swinging around an arm to grasp at Taylita's tail. It's a target of opportunity and...
If he succeeds, he will swing her around by the tail and let her fly into the ruined body of the tank.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita is gripped by the tail, and immediately her body goes stiff and she cries out in what sounds like excruciating pain. The sound only increases as she is spun around and thrown by her tail. Her cry of agony continues until she impacts one of the nearby buildings, which finally silences it. The impact is so strong, the building collapses around her, leaving her buried.

It is several moments before anything else happens. It might seem like that was enough to defeat her. Until the building explodes outward! "Grraaaah!! What is wrong with you?!" she screams as she floats up from the rubble, her tail wrapping around her waist defensively. "Do you see me grabbing you by your ears and throwing you?! Geeze! Even in battle, one should be respectful!!"

As she is screaming this, Taylita is building energy in her hands. A bright blue energy forms between her palms as she holds them in front of her, facing each other. She builds energy until an orb the size of a beachball is in front of her, then with a rage-filled roar she fires a beam of energy at Zod. It is much like the first attack she used, except this time it is much closer to a pure energy beam, and it threatens to engulf his entire body.

General Zod (524) has posed:
Zod is left cooking, sizzling, wondering... how did he even survive that? Well, Kryptonian superiority, but that would account for his continued breathing, not continued consciousness. His undersuit is in tatters and steam is rising off his red, cooked skin. A Kryptonian that looks sunburnt is somewhat of an irony, to be honest.
An evil look crosses Zod's face and he leaps at Taylita with murder in his eyes, a tell-tale whipcrack trailing behind him as he flies forward to knock some sense into Taylita. A right hook. Cross uppercut. Kidney shot. A solid one to the solar plexus. An assortment of knuckle sandwiches to delight and amaze audiences of all ages at home!

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita grins as Zod is left sizzling. She's impressed he is still standing, but that just means she's fighting a worthy opponent. "Wow. That's a nasty looking sunburn you've got there." she says, giggling teasingly. "Kind of appropriate when fighting the Star Child of Corlan." she adds as Zod comes in for his attack.

Those knuckle sandwiches are impressive, but unfortunately, Taylita isn't hungry. As Zod flies in, her form again blurrs. And again she seems to disappear. But, rather than appear above Zod, this time she appears behind him with a leaping kick aimed right at his lower back. "Too slow!" she exclaims just before the attack hits.

General Zod (524) has posed:
He takes a solid blow from the kick, twisting in the air weightlessly even though it was like kicking... something very hard, maybe stone or steel slabs if Taylita was a mere mortal human, but there might not be an apt comparison for what it's like to strike an unarmored Kryptonian for the Saiyan to describe.
Zod rights himself and takes off upward, leaving a contrail behind him, sparing Taylita a scowl before he does. He could be gone. Maybe?
Except he comes roaring downwards, teeth gritted as the air around him glows with ablative heat from screaming across the sky at about thirty times the speed of sound at Taylita like some sort of hellbent meteor.

Taylita (180) has posed:
Taylita really didn't expect him to come back. Usually the bad guy flies off when he is beaten up pretty badly. So, when that Krytonian meteor comes screaming down, she isn't prepared at all. That'll teach her to just assume things! Taylita wonders what Zod's plan is for reducing damage to himself with such a divebomb attack. But only for a split second before she is hit.

When the smoke and dust clears after the explosion from the impact, Taylita is barely standing. She is panting heavily with the effort of holding her damaged body up, but she still looks determined to win. She floats out of the crater, then up into the air. As she does, her body starts to glow softly as she absorbs the light and other ambient energies around her. "That...was pretty impressive." she pants, looking down at General Zod. "I'm not sure how you didn't kill yourself with an attack like that...but don't worry. I'll finish you off!"

The yellow glow surrounding her grows brighter and brighter until it is like looking into the sun. Which is an apt comparison, because that is exactly the kind of energy Taylita is about to unleash. She lets out a fierce cry as she thrusts her palms forward and an eruption of pure concentrated radiant energy fires from her. This beam won't explode on impact or send Zod flying. No, this is a true energy beam. It attempts to incinerate the Kryptonian where he stands!

General Zod (524) has posed:
Well, he's not incinerated. In fact it does something much more terrifying. It... recharges the Kryptonian's cells... painfully. There's a roaring scream as Zod's body absorbs the sunlight and stores it for later, and then overflows into excess, creating an outburst of telekinetic power from him. Rocks, dirt, plants, begin levitating into the air and floating in lazy patterns, a deep basso rumble permeates the ground and air. A rush of heat blasts outwards as Zod's body dumps energy any way it can.
Finally, what's left in the smoldering blackened crater is a very naked Zod, shrouded by steam and heat-created haze. He looks at Taylita, a puzzled expression on his face, and then takes to the sky, leaving the Saiyan in control of Phase Rock.
