Synopsis: Eryl grabs a bite to eat, running into Ayako in her true form and a slightly deranged Riva.
Thanks to: To Ayako and Riva for showing up and making a fun social!
Cast of Characters: Riva Banari, Eryl Fairfax, Ayako Hasekawa

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl steps into the Bar, his suit caked in dirt and dust, along with his face, his hair... every part of him, to be honest. He looks tired, his KOAN Core currently at 19 percent capacity. His journey had recently taken him through some serious dust storms, the sun blotted by it. Coupled with the lack of food, he hasn't had any opportunity to recharge.

So, he entered the first warpgate he found and made his way to the Bar. No ability to help people if he runs out of power after all, and a decent meal should do wonders. If not, well... perhaps he can find an outlet somewhere. He sits at a booth and flicks through a menu.

Eventually, he makes a decision. The biggest breakfast platter he can get, loaded with, bacon, egg, sausage, hash browns, fried mushrooms and steak. He also orders a pitcher of orange juice and a pot of coffee, sitting and waiting patiently for it to arrive.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako floats into the the Bar and Grill, the golden chains of her headdress ringing softly as she does so. And then blinks her eyes quickly. She glances saround quickly, opens her mouth to say something-and then slowly closes it. It appears she didn't mean to come here, but did anyway. Funny how the Bar and Grill at the End of the Multiverse works sometimes! Shrugging, she takes a look around... and spots Eryl!

She floats slowly over to him and says in a voice that seems to reverberate from any water nearby with an echoy quality to it, "Good morning, Eryl." Ayako smiles a soft smile to him.

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl had just poured a cup of coffee, adding plenty of sugar and milk to fuel him. He was about to take a mouthful when a familiar voice seemed to come from the drink. Looking around, he sees... Ayako? Looking very different, much more... ornate. He recalls her over the radio, sounding different... her words about looking different come Halloween. Now he sees why.

For a brief moment, his implants can't keep up with his shock, leaving him with a wide-eyed look on his face. Quickly, he composes himself, sets down his cup and smiles candidly to the woman before him. "Good to see you Miss Ayako. Please, take a seat if you like."

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako merely smiles softly when she notes Eryl's wide-eyed, shocked look. Unlike her usual behavior and air, Ayako seems more reserved and gentle than usual. Once Eryl appears to recover, she giggles softly. "I'm guessing you understand why I hesitate a bit about being out and about while I look like this." She then sticks her tongue out playfully towards Eryl, causing her to resemble her usual behavior more. "I can't sit down. I don't have all of my legs. But I'll float all the same."

Ayako takes a position at the table where she would normally sit, across from Eryl. "Did something happen to you, Eryl? You look like a mess."

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl clears his throat a little, Original Face noting the difference Ayako's behaviour. More reserved, softer rather than her cheerful, enthusiastic self. Something to do with her form? Interesting to note. "Oh, uh. Yes indeed. To be honest, I wasn't expecting this though. I thought you would be translucent or something. You look incredible, to be frank." He smiles kindly, not a trace of irony in his voice, but also no hint of him flirting either. He says it like it is an objective fact.

"Ah, yes. I got caught up in a dust storm for the past couple days. So I came here to recharge. I think I went and ordered far more than I could eat though, so I could share with you if you like?"

Riva Banari has posed:
"Yeah, that one. With the fried mushrooms, hash browns, and steak. And like, a whole pot of coffee." Huh? Where's that voice coming from?

Oh, 2 booths down, Riva is sitting there. She looks a bit bedraggled, with a white toga-style dress in disarray and spotted with water, hair loose and frazzled under a woven ivy headpiece, and a comedy mask kept rakishly to one side, attatched to an elastic band.

She also looks half asleep, because as soon as the waitress leaves, Riva slumps forward, resting her head on her arms.

Until she hears the clink of chains, which rouses her from her almost-doze as she peeks around the side of the booth, squinting. "Ayako?" She asks, blinking as the transformed water spirit comes into focus. "Oh! Hey, Ayako!" She waves to her. "Who are you talking to over there?"

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako raises one of her robes sleeves to her mouth as she giggles softly. "Ah, I see, I see... well... the main reason I don't like looking like this is that people might mistake me as a goddess or something else that is greater than what I believe I am." Her head inclines to the side gently, causing her chains to ring softly as well. "I..." She blushes lightly when Eryl says she looks incredible, "I... thank you, Eryl."

She nods her head slowly as Eryl explains what happened to him. "Aahh... I see..." Ayako giggles softly again and shakes her head slowly, causing the golden chains to shake, causing water droplets appear to sprinkle everywhere. However, said water gravitates back to Ayako and rejoins her. "Even when I look like this, I don't eat, Eryl." A soft, playful grin crosses her features. "Want me to help wash the dust off?" Ayako's sixteen golden chains suddenly orient towards Eryl, pointing directly at him.

And at the sound of Riva's voice, Ayako herself also peeks out from her booth. "Ah! Good morning, Riva." Her translucent sleeve waves back to her. "I'm talking to Eryl."

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl's ears pick up the words from two booths over. His eyes glance down at the plate before him. Was he being spied on? Original Face remembered the voice, identifying it as belonging to Riva Banari. He doesn't let any concern show on his face, keeping his conversation with Ayako light and pleasant. "I can see why people might make that mistake."

His eyes follow the water droplets as they return to Ayako, Original Face getting upset again. But then he has multiple chains pointing at him and he actually flinches a little. "Ah... Thanks but no thanks Miss Ayako. I'll be back out in the storm after this, so your efforts will be in vain. Once they settle, I'll find a place to wash myself, don't you worry."

When Riva speaks to Ayako, he looks at her, pretending as if he only just noticed her, smiling gently. "Hello Miss Banari. Come and join us if you like."

Riva Banari has posed:
Riva perks a little bit at the mention of Eryl. "Diplomacy Man? Awesome." She pulls herself out of the booth and slides in opposite Eryl at the invitation, smiling faintly. "You can say that again, Eryl." She says, before leaning back in the booth. "So, stopping in for a rest and refreshment, huh? Amazing how this place pops up just when you could really go for some food and drink..." She pauses. "Drinks." She nods at that, definitively. "Definately drinks. So! How were your Halloweens? Get lots of treats and no tricks, I hope."

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako nods her head slowly and then sticks her tongue out playfully at Eryl when he flinches a little. Even when she looks all spirity, it seems she still is playful. "Oh very well." Her golden chains settle back down and begin obeying gravity again. Water resumes flowing and dripping from her chains once they stop swinging.

Ayako smiles softly at Riva and floats over a bit so that she can sit down next to her opposite Eryl. "I came in here feeling a bit bored, so I'm quite happy that I ran into you both." Her golden gaze goes upwards for a moment. "Speaking of drinks... do either of you need any healing water since I'm right here?" She smiles softly. "Much of my Halloween has been consisting of me debating with myself if I should just try to act normal or hide."

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl breaths a little sigh of relief when the chains retract, taking a sip of his coffee. He gives Riva a hard look, taking in her dishevelled appearance. He also notes her repeated utterances of 'drinks.' He suspects that she is referring to a very specific kind of drink... "Yes. My KOAN Core was running out, so I came here to refuel." He gives a little nod and slides his coffee pot and pitcher of orange juice towards the two ladies. "My Halloween? I just continued my journey, business as usual. How about yours?"

He grins at Ayako, his white teeth standing out contrasted against his grimy face. "Well, I am glad you came out. Now that I have seen how you look, I can say with confidence that people would not treat you any differently. Ayako is Ayako after all." He nods resolutely before biting into a forkful of mushroom and sausage.

Riva Banari has posed:
"Can your healing water fix the tired?" Riva asks. "Maybe it can! I dunno." She shrugs slightly, and then glances over to Eryl, "KOAN Core, huh? Powered by Buddhist wisdom, Diplomacy Man?" She smiles again at that, but her intensity is definately lower than normal.

Ayako's comment, however, gets her attention even in her current state. "So... Why are you so worried about it?" Riva asks. "You're awesome and beautiful. Do you just not want to get tied down, or does something... happen if you get worshipped? I hear that happens to some people."

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
"Eryl, relax... it's not like my chains fire lasers or anything like that. It's just water." Ayako giggles softly. She listens quietly to Eryl and then aahhs softly. "I want to visit your world sometime, Eryl. Maybe a little water could help." A soft giggle escapes from her lips.

"I... Hmm... I see..." Ayako glances off to the side as one of her robes sleeves gently stroke one of her long golden chains, quietly reflecting over Eryl's words.

Her golden gaze then turns to Riva. "Riva... are you alright? You look like you marched through a storm and are super tired." Ayako moves a sleeve towards Riva and pulls the water that spots the toga-styled dress off, leaving her dry. When Riva asks if her water can fix the tired, Ayako actually nods yes. "If it's musclely tired, you want red. If it's magical energy tired, you want green. If you want something like caffeine, you want orange." As she says this, a red, green, and then an orange ball of water forms from her golden chains and floats in the air.

"I... thank you, Riva..." Ayako smiles softly and then her gaze then goes down towards the floor for a moment. It then properly is raised and she looks into Riva's eyes with her golden one. "I... once in the past, I was worshipped like a water goddess. An agriculture goddess if you want to be really specific." She shrugs lightly, "I got quite arrogant and big-headed from all of that... and I don't care for that to happen again."

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
He chuckles and shakes his head at Riva, "Oh, no. 'KOAN' seems to be an acronym for something, but ReGenesis have not been able to find out what. If you ever think of something, do let me know. It's a strange feeling to have something inside you and you don't even know what it's called." He chuckles softly.

"Oh, I know Miss Ayako. Just that... Original Face cannot handle your chains hovering like that. For them to start producing water would make it worse is all." He rubs his forehead a little before taking a bracing mouthful of coffee. He listens closely to Ayako's words, a look of understanding crossing his face. "So that is why you wanted my advice on how to get Mister Faruja to stop putting you on a pedestal?"

Riva Banari has posed:
"Definately orange. Today was exhausting for, um, other reasons." Riva handwaves. "Don't worry about it, Ayako! You're always so modest, sometimes I wonder how you can manage. Though I guess if you want to avoid notice and weird worshipper entanglements, being super humble might help." She muses audibly, whiel Eryl explains The Deal.

"Oh, I see." She nods. "Though I think that the image of you walking into some Tibetan monsastary on top of a mountain and just standing in the middle of a bunch of ancient bald old guys spouting cryptic phrases to get rechared would be sweet. Maybe it stands for, like, Koala Operation Actuator Node or something, I dunno." She shrugs. "I'm bad at this." The mention of Faruja gets her to sigh. "Poor guy. His heart's in the right place..." You can practiacally hear the 'but' hanging in the air.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako nods her head slowly, causing her chains to ring. "Aahh... it's an acronym for something, huh...?" She then smiles softly. "Oh? And Original Face is okay with me floating and being all liquid?" She then notes Eryl rubbing his forehead and then gestures with one of her translucent-seeming sleeves towards the floating green healing water. "This one's good for headaches as well, if you need it." When the subject of Faruja is brought up, she smiles softly. "W-well... I can't say a part of me doesn't like it a lot. But I don't want to become arrogant like before."

Ayako then nods happily to Riva and extracts a fist-sized ball of orange water from the larger ball. She flicks it non-challantly at Riva. Whoa, does it work quickly! It's like drinking a cup of coffee and the caffeine is kicking in. Her head bows politely towards Riva. "I don't know if I really am that modest. I'm afraid many compliments do get to me as well." It appears she's modest about her modesty as well.

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl snickers at Riva's strange scenario. "Unfortunately, I doubt that any such monetary exists in my world now. Although, I did find a book of koans early on in my journey and named by various systems after them." He gives a little sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I suppose I keep those names out of nostalgia now."

Now he smiles at Ayako, chuckling softly, declining her offer of the green Healing Water. "I'll survive, but thank you Miss Ayako. As for Original Face, well... it has gotten used to you, is all. Just takes time." He smiles gently, listening to her talk about the part of her that feels good when complimented. "Well, there is something that water spirits and people have in common. It's fine that you feel good when you're complimented. It doesn't make you arrogant or big-headed."

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako's golden eyes shimmer gently when Eryl mentions naming his systems. "That's wonderful, Eryl. Keeping names out of nostalgia is a wonderful thing." She smiles softly... and her eyes slowly close halfway. Her sleeves quietly come together in front of her. Did she name something out of nostalgia too? From how she's acting, it seems so. Although what exactly she named isn't very clear at all.

Ayako then giggles brightly. "Oh, so it's gotten used to me, huh? I should do something sometime that will make it hesitate again." She smiles softly at Eryl. "Hmm... words... are very powerful for spirits, you know. And so when a compliment is given towards me... it's quite powerful."

Riva Banari has posed:
Orange power! Riva gets dosed with the orange liquid and she immediately wakes up. "Oh, wow, that's /awesome/. Wish I had you around during college." She says, regaining some of her vim. "I think there's a part of basically everyone who would like being worshipped. I guess it just depends on if we'd let that get to our head, right? And you did all that. before, so..." She just leans in and gives Ayako a hug, not seeming to care if she gets wet or not. "Don't worry, you'll always be Ayako to me, okay?" She lets go, probably wet, and grins. "And thanks for the pick-me-up, okay?"

Eryl causes Riva to nod again, and she waves. "It's all good. With how you like to talk and stuff, I figurred it would be a good fit for you."

Ayako's response then causes Riva to look contemplative for a moment. "Are there any words you /really/ like?" She says, leaning in slightly and arching an eyebrow in curiosity.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako giggles softly and then nods her head slowly. When Riva suddenly hugs her, her eyes widen! Her body is completely liquid and isn't solid at all, despite how she might look! So Riva does get very wet on hugging Ayako-yet once she stops, she's dry again. "I... Un!" She smiles a soft, happy smile.

Ayako then blushes when Riva asks that question. "I... Well... I of course like being told I'm useful... but... I like people complimenting how well I can make a plausible beautiful human appearance especially."

Eryl Fairfax has posed:
Eryl stares questioningly at Ayako. That was terribly specific of her... he begins to wonder if she has something that she named... did spirits even have parents? Perhaps the name she keeps is her own name? That's rather personal though, so he chooses not to bring it up.

"I would rather that you did not, Miss Ayako. Give my poor head a break, hm?" He chuckles softly, eyes moving over to Riva. "Miss Banari speaks the truth. Just keep it all in perspective and you will be fine." He pays attention to Ayako's words, chuckling softly. "So I see. Good to know, now I know who to effectively compliment you."
