Decade-Old Loose Ends (Homura Akemi)
Date of Cutscene: 13 August 2014
Location: Tokyo
Synopsis: Homura obtains far more money than she can spend from her victory in the WMAT and finds a use for some of it.
Cast of Characters: 2

In Tokyo, Japan.

"Akemi Homura," says the teenage girl, softly.

"That's... ah, let's see. That was a decade and a half ago, you're lucky we keep registers up to date like this. Religiously, you might say~."

"Y... yes. Puns aside, where are they?"

"I'm sorry, but we're not allowed to reveal that information. When people go through that process it's usually because they can't handle it. I'd be breaking the law if I told you."

"I see."

Time stops for a few moments and then resumes. Nobody really notices.

Homura bows politely. "Thank you. I'll be on my way then."

As she leaves, the sign over the building clearly reads:

Seisen International School.

In a less fortunate district of Tokyo.

Homura approaches a small house, worn down but not entirely done for. She idles on the doorstep. Reaching for the doorbell, she notices it doesn't work. From outside, the loud voices of a woman and a man arguing about their condition, probably for the nth time today, can be heard.

She sighs, and takes a step back.

She knocks on the door.

The couple answers; a man in his late 40's, and a woman the same, looking worn, dirty and dressed in rags. There's no one at the door waiting for them. They look down and see an envelope.

Within, the financial arrangements with a bank from Mitakihara to receive $10,000 every month for the rest of their lives, with a starting fund of half a million to get their lives straight.

Seems to make them happy enough.

Homura just smiles from her perch and wanders off.
