A great black beast is chasing someone through blood-drenched streets.
Running, running.
The smell of death fills the prey's nose, turning their senses inside out with fear and panic.
Everyone is gone.
And now they run, run, run as they are chased. They run desperately.
With nowhere to run.
Lungs burning from the smoke, from exhaustion, they see a church, and they try to make it inside.
Safety at last?
Right before they reach the gates, they see a black-furred monster on the other side of the gates.
They despair.
The moment they truly believe they are about to die, is when they are pierced by Deathly jaws, as those red eyes stare balefully from the other side of the gates.
A dog howls.
And then Wandering Dog wakes up.
