Reker     The Glocken is busy tonight. Lots of hussle and bussle around town as players come and go. A group of (relatively) lower level players are currently organizing a group to go out and hunt monsters. They seem to have gathered up a fair sized group. All of them are equipped with shiny 'light guns', as Reker would call them. The energy blasters that are generally more effective on monsters than players.

Reker himself is actually among the group, though he's armed with far more real looking guns, "Alright boys, listen up!" He yells, as he climbs on top of the hood of the truck the group is gathered near, "The plan is pretty simple. We're going to go out, you kids are going to zap a bunch of monsters and bring the loot back. I am going to go with you, because lots of people love to shoot you guys with their big scary guns and take your stuff after you've done all the hard work. So when you're all ready to move out, give me the signal."
Auron     There at the back of the group is a tall, slender figure with a hood that hides the face. Given his build and height, it's probably male, since it runs towards the taller side of the random avatar generation. He's wearing a black long sleeved shirt with a couple of lines on it that evoke images of circuitry, loose black pants, and black boots. Over the lot is a dark red asymmetrical coat. It only seems to have one sleeve, but there are three straps that hold the collar, chest, and waist together. However, the coat still has a hood. Weird.

Well. Seems like kill-stealing is just as rampant here as any other MMO. It's not surprising. One would think they'd have PK level restrictions or something. But then again that's part of why Auron's checking this MMO out. There have been two other VRMMOs in this world, both of which have had gimmicks in them that have been detrimental to others. First being trapped in Sword Art Online and then some being trapped in Alfheim Online. Auron wants to look at this game now, see if there are people trapped or actually dying in here.

For the time being he remains at the back of the group, quiet. He is, like the rest of these players-- aside from the one who's speaking, it seems-- a newbie. That being the case, it's better that he doesn't make any waves. He just waits for the rest of the group to get ready. Party requests? Totally taking them. That'll help him see who's in trouble and needs help.
Reker     The other players who are milling about have formed up into a small raid party, and with each team leader listed on the HUD, everyone organizes, "Okay. Seems like everybody's set up." He looks to the group, and the points to Banken, "You, you seem like you have a better idea of what you're doing. You're gonna be in charge of Delta Squad. You guys need to be the first ones to engage the monsters. Try to focus on taking out the smaller ones first. Stay out of range of the bigger ones until we've dealt with the smaller targets."

He turns to another player, "You're in charge of Charlie squad. You guys are the backup squad. When Delta starts to take hits, you need to come in and get the big guy's attention. Bravo and Alpha, you're both on ranged detail. Hit everything that moves that isn't on our team with everything you've got. Lay on the damage and bring those things down as quick as you can. Alright folks, mount up into the trucks and lets move out." He pauses, "You guys do have drivers, right?" A lot of people don't know how to drive in this game because it takes actual real world driving skills.
Auron     "Understood," 'Banken' replies with a nod. It's a smooth baritone voice that he speaks with. He can't exactly 'alter' his voice here in-game. He thinks of speaking and it happens, where he /wants/ the pitch of his voice to be notwithstanding. Though the thought enters Auron's mind... what does Reker mean by 'seems to know what he's doing'? Might he be referring to the ease with which Auron interacts with the game interface? Or something else? Maybe he's just reading too much into it?

Well, either way, they're setting off. Auron decides not to broach the subject now. As for the driving? He speaks up again, offering, "I can drive." He's learned to drive a few things since coming to the Multiverse. A truck isn't too much different from what he's learned to drive. Besides, Auron's a big believer in 'fake it 'till you make it'.
Reker     Once everybody's situated and loaded up onto the two trucks, Reker gets into his own LTV and leads the convoy out of the city. The drive takes a little while but once they get where they're going, Reker stops the truck and the convoy stops behind them. The entrance to the dungeon is in what looks like an old municipal building, "Alright boys. Dismount and get ready. This here is an old fallout shelter. Used to be a trading post until it was over-run by the monsters we're here to kill. Now lets get in there and kick some ass!"

Reker is the first one to enter the dungeon. Outside of the dungeon entrance, but inside of the building proper, are some raiders. They look ready to engage once the team enters their range, but they're just trash mobs. They should go down pretty easily.
Auron     'Banken' is a horrible conversationalist on the trip. And he's not really the best at keeping the other newbies calm. They'll hopefully be able to calm down amongst themselves. Though he's not completely unsympathetic to their plight. Evidenced when one of the newbies drops her gun due to shaking hands as they're getting out.

He doesn't speak out over the group at large. Instead he approaches her as she's picking up her gun. When she stands, he places a hand on her shoulder. "Stay calm," he offers, with a soothing tone. "Just do your best. No one can ask more of anyone else." Hopefully it helps!

Once they're in range, Auron takes stock of the situation. Raiders outside. He has a group to command. Whether he sees the Raiders behind cover, he points at those that are visible. "Anyone with sniper talents should try to eliminate as many of them as possible," he suggests. "Delta can use that as a signal to attack and get their attention. Should catch whatever remains of them off-guard and use the surprise to our advantage."
Reker     The squad leader from Bravo has a sniper configured light gun, and he quickly gets into a position to shoot at the targets. Reker himself knows he could take these guys out...But he's not here to steal XP and loot from these newbies. He's here to help them if they get in over their heads. For now he sits back at the truck and watches them get to work.

That Bravo sniper fires a shot, the futuristic looking gun firing a blast of energy which strikes one of the exposed raiders. The blast knocks him over and he bursts like most things do when they're killed in the VRMMOs. The other remaining four quickly shift positions and start to fire at the team members.
Auron     Auron waited for the shot, and when he heard it, found the first cover he could. So now they know how many enemies there are. "Spread out!" Banken instructs. He quickly calls out three of the party members from Delta. "Find cover and try to draw their fire. The rest of you circle around. but not too far. Try to surround them."

Once he's sure the squad is on their way, he waits for a break in the firing... and then pops up from behind his cover and fires at the group of Raiders. There are a few things that will probably be clear immediately. Banken is using a pistol. And he's awkward with it, wincing as if he didn't expect the report from every shot. And his shots are probably going wide.

Understanding of tactics notwithstanding... it looks like Banken has never really used a gun before.
