Thranduil      The sun has set behind the mountains, bathing the forest in pale starlight. The Silvan Elves love to come out this time of night and look up at the stars, even if they are not the same stars as before Middle Earth unified. The chatter of the Elves can be heard throught the sickly forest as they take some time to relax and bathe in the warmth of the starlight, drinking and generally having a good time.

They are always on their guard, however, and some of the guards sit on twisted roots drinking sweet berry wine and laughing. A figure in white that almost looks ethereal in comparison to the other Elves with almost white hair, dressed in silver robes. His stark blue eyes catch the dim light and look rather eerie. The crown upon his head that resembles twisted twigs and berries indicates that he is perhaps royalty among the others.

While all of this is going on, something lurks in the shadows, preparing itself to carry out an ambush.
Alpha Centauri Something my interrupt the night sky the Elves may be enjoying. A flicker across the sky as something races across. Eight hot white streaks burning turn into one thruster to race the Accretian across the coming night sky.

It wasn't till there was a sudden bank of this flying 'star' that it may seem very odd for those who are not use to technology and including that this 'star', was suddenly heading right down for the forest itself! In the matter of seconds somewhere in the clearing of the woods, not far from the elves the Accretian makes his landing.

Six of the thrusters cut out, with the last ones helping with his feet to land down onto the soft surface. Those gold optics glowing easily against the shadows and the light gray armor, mixed with the dark gray makes him stand easy against the forests own colors.

Though if not for his colors that make him stand out, its also his sheer size at near ten feet tall. The mechanical figure takes a step forward. Though machine he may seem, his movements are fluid as any organic being. Just what place has Alpha Centauri found himself in? He has no idea. He need to do something and given he was approved to do just that-- that is what he did.
Annie Sandberg      Annie had wanted to visit the elves in the past, but hadn't been able to spend much time with them. Still, she told them that she'd like to return in the future, and this seemed to be a good time to do so, so here she was.
Annie was never really sure quite what to do at grown-up social gatherings like this. She was more in her element among children, but there were none to be seen here. Even though she was an android, she wasn't about to start drinking wine. Was there anything to talk about? She certainly didn't have much in common with them. At least there was a pretty night sky to look at, which was one thing the elves were doing that she could get behind.
She noticed the odd flying object and sat up to look more closely at it as it approached. A machine of some kind? She was rather relieved when the figure stopped rather than crashing into them. Standing, she stared up at the huge machine. It looked a lot like some of the giant bipedal weapons she'd seen in the past. Was someone piloting it? She gave a friendly wave of greetings, though she was not sure if she would even be noticed.
Thranduil      The Elves rise to their feet and take notice when Alpha comes down from the sky, drawing their weapons and looking apprehensive. The Grey Elf draws his weapon as well, still a good distance away from the others.

"Who are you?" One of the guards asks, then notices Annie and tries to drag her back by the clothes or arm. "This is no place for a child of Man. Where are your parents?
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri stands there, he slowly turns to face the elves as they draw out their bows and arrows. He looks down at the child that then waves at him, even as the Elves try to pull her back. He takes a very calm step forward. "How.. Primitive." He retorts out calmly. "Using sticks and stones in hopes to defeat something of industrial alloy and science."

Alpha Centauri tilts his head ever faintly as he takes another step forward. The ground sinking slightly under his weight. "As for who I am-- I am the future. Just as you are the past."
Annie Sandberg      Annie gets pulled back and looks quickly up at the guard. "Um... my name's Annie, I kind of left a message earlier that I wanted to visit. My parents are... busy. But it's okay." She looked back toward the robot, intrigued but also a bit scared. "Um, did you come here to fight?" she asks. "Because I don't really want to have a fight going on here... I came here to see someplace new, not to end up in the middle of a fight!"
Thranduil      "Take the child, keep her safe." A deepr, more refined voice cal#808s. "You did not intrerrupt any fights."

Thranduil finally made it to the cleaning. "I had wondered whether or not we would see outside visitors once again. I see that we are. You are welcome to join our starlight celebration. There is plenty to eat and drink. Be merry!"
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri looks to Thranduil as he comes out to greet. His gold optics look upon the elf, before at the others, "You offer drinks and food... and yet.." He motions to the bows at ready, "..what shall it be?"

He then tilts his head once more. "..as for a fight.. no. As I already know how it will end.."
Annie Sandberg      Really, Annie would rather not be "kept safe" quite so much. Though she doesn't like fighting, she's surprisingly capable of doing so when she has to. But bringing up her true nature to the elves... somehow, Annie doesn't think it would be a good idea. She'd be fine with them believing her to be a human child.
"My name's Annie. Annie Sandberg," she adds to the robot visitor. "Like I said, I don't want there to be a fight so... Let's just be nice to each other, okay? Maybe we could be friends."
Thranduil      Thranduil llooks between them yet makes no move either way. "You are welcome to partake in whatever we have availabe, but perhaps we should ensure there are no incidents. Please relinuish your weapons." The Elvenking certainly knows how to get straight to the point. "There have been many mistakes made. I should hope to avoid another."
Alpha Centauri Once the elves lower their bows, Alpha Centauri can only give a simple nod of his head as his optics flicker, he looks an the young girl again, before he steps toward her. "How does one so small.. travel with ease?"

He then looks to the elf king. "As for food and drink.. I do not do either." He explains with ease, "..and do not concern yourself with me either way.. I will not be here for long."
Annie Sandberg      "I know my way around. There's warp gates and stuff. And I'm actually... well, kind of tougher than I look," Annie explains to the robot with a smile. "And I have some good friends and family members who'll help me if I'm in trouble."
