Ayako Hasekawa     It's just another night at Union Medical for Ayako Hasekawa. Usually, she's healing non-Elite and Elite alike that end up here. When she isn't? She's usually filling bottles of Healing Water for the use of other personnel. That is not what she's doing right now, though. A distress call came in, and she was quickly called out with an extraction team to pull back some wounded.

Ayako sighs softly as she and the other medical staff get to work. The reason for the sigh? Eryl got hurt... again. "Eryl, you're really pushing yourself hard... huh?" Several balls of Healing Water of various colors float in the air as she carefully applies them to the messiac cyborg. "Not only that... the other person as well..." Her amber gaze travels towards Noiela and she applies several balls of Healing Water to her once the other medical staff have done their part.
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl is hurt pretty bad! What remains of his fleshy body is covered in burns, there's a gaping hole in his chest, his left leg has been run through and the false skin that covers his arms and legs are gone, revealing the metal underneath.

Although, he does have one good quality. He certainly is a responsive patient. Once healings and medical attention are applied, he begins to stir immediately, and is aware of his surroundings near instantly, a sigh escaping his lips.

     "I lost again..."
Grumble Grumble hovers near Eryl's bed trying to stay out of Ayako's way as she treats the patient. Unconsciously whining every few minutes in worry over his injured friend.

"You are very very hurt mister Fairfax. What has happened? Will Mister Fairfax be alright Miss Ayako?" Bobbing back and forth through the air he paces in undisguised worry. Little face drooped in sadness.
Landon al Cid      Prince Landon al Cid of Ramuh is the kind of man who doesn't let little things like 'time' or 'distance' get in his way when someone needs help - particularly someone he's fond of. Though it's late in the Galiandan evening, the Prince wasted no time, assembling a small cadre of Judges to escort him to the Rookery and help retrieve Noiela and Eryl. Landon's armor is thrown on hastily over what appears to be evening-dress of some nature. It's clear that he was in a hurry to be out here.

Thankfully, Ayako and Grumble The Wonder Dog were there to help, making the Prince's rather embarassing lack of a white mage along much less problematic. He followed them to the medical bay, and has been waiting ever since.

The young Prince sits off to the side of the bay, still in full armor. He is apparently not relaxed at all. He glances at Eryl as the man speaks.

"But you live to fight another day. Take solace in that."

The words sound convincing. Landon's very good at saying things like that. He really believes them, too - for everybody who isn't himself. The truth is, he understands that feeling of powerlessness and uselessness, that feeling when you lose even though you felt that you did your best. It hurts. It...really hurts.

Landon glances at Grumble again, but his heart's not really in it to be weirded out by a talking dog. He's already seen talking madponies. Besides, dogs are much more likeable than madponies.
Noiela Noiela aches. Her entire body is rigid from a deep seated throb of mild, distracting pain that is a mere scab in light of how she might be feeling had Ayako not been avaliable to provide healing that deadens it substantially. At the moment, she veers quietly and unobtrusively between consciousness and the drowsy layer where answers are often a bit nonsensical.
A kindly medic has provided bandages to wrap snugly round her chest, providing the bare modicum of modesty.

When she had been retrieved, only the coat made it relatively intact from her wardrobe. It is this she notices first when gradually making the transition from unconscious to conscious, yet with a numb detachment. Far more rankling is the loss of pride amplified by bruised ribs, burns and one hacked neck the distantly heard conversation revives.

"Solace." Her tone is decidedly flat, absentmindedly rubbing her wrapped hand. It itches.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head slowly to Eryl as she finishes treating the burns on Eryl's body with purple healing water. As for the mechanical parts... Ayako isn't really the type to go to for that, so she leaves that to the Union medical staff that are better suited for it. And then startles when Eryl suddenly stirs and speaks. "Ah. You're conscious already?" She smiles softly and shakes her head. "Maybe you did lose, but... b-but you're still alive."

She gives one more glance to Eryl and then nods her head once. Noiela hasn't regained full consciousness yet. And so Ayako resumes her treatment, relieving another of the medical staff and gently applying purple healing water gently to the burns, bruises and the hacked neck. She blinks her eyes quickly when she hears the one word from Noiela. "Hmm? Solace?"
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl looks around at all the faces. Ayako is to be expected, she works here. But Grumble? This man he hasn't met, but his voice is familiar. Good. Witnesses to his failure. He grunts as he starts to sit up, coughing a little. His spittle is dark, stained with soot.

"What are you all doing here? Did you help me to Medical? Thank you." A part of him wants to ask them to leave, but he doesn't want to be rude. He checks his arms and frowns, seeing the metal rather than deceptively real flesh. Lifting his bedsheets, the same for his legs. "Great... I'll have to mould on more now."

He glances to Grumble, and immediately looks away. In this state, the last thing he needs is Original Face whining about the impossibility of a floating dog. "I will be fine, Mister Grumble," he mutters. Looking to the Prince, he inclines his head, Original Face finally catching up. "Prince Landon, yes? Good to meet you in person."

Looking at Ayako, he gives the water spirit a grim smile. "I am. My mission is too important for me to die back there."
Landon al Cid      "Sometimes, solace is all that we can take," Landon observes, looking over at Noiela. When he realizes that she is in fact immodest, his face goes quite red, and he averts his gaze like a polite young man with an absolute minimum of staring. After all, that's simply not proper. What is he, some sort of panting barbarian?

"Yes, a pleasure, Sir...Fairfax, I believe it was?" Landon agrees as he stares at the ceiling. "I, ah, I am glad to see that everyone appears to be alright. It seem as though you had a difficult battle."
Grumble Grumble pouts at Eryl's condition. Now he understood why Mister Fairfax smelled like metal. He was a metalman. But Grumble would not hold that against him. Miss Ayako was a water woman afterall.

"I am here because the lady with you called for help. I carried you both here. To the place of medicine where Miss Ayako told me to." Receiving an affirmative answer he calms a little and floats over to the chairs. Settling down gently beside beside the one they call Prince Landon, he curls up in the seat, head rested upon his paws. Eyes glancing to and fro from Eryl to Landon as they converse. They mention a battle. Fighting once again. There is so much fighting and getting hurt by his human friends. Perhaps he should follow them and make sure they don't get hurt the next time there is a battle.
Noiela Snapping smartly into a woozy wakefulness, the wounded girl rises on her elbows to glance blearily round the room. Glancing down to observe her legs twisted up in the bedsheets whole and given a tentative toe wiggle, all accounted for in the aftermath. "Wha...Hospital?" Stating facts, patient pasttime.

It is after this stunningly insightful summary she looks round to see the water spirit, a vaguely familiar male, Prince Landon- at this moment she quails a bit, faint flush she can ill afford staining her cheeks. Also, the dog. Who seems to be speaking her language.

"Did I just step into Sumias dream?" She murmurs, delirium ensuring her verbal responses are scattershot and err on the monologuing as her eyes travel about the room.

"Water spirit, mechanic man...talking dog. Definitely her dream. Thank you anyway, hallucinations." Her brow furrows, fixing her sights on Landon. "Wait. Why is he...then she knows..." One embarrassed lapse into silence. "Moreever, my inability to recall the battle fully is...strange."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako blinks her eyes quickly as Noiela woozily opens her eyes and stutters. "Hmm... maybe still a bit out of it..." Two small balls of healing water, one orange and one yellow form from her hands. She mixes the two together carefully and gently rubs it onto Noiela's forehead. That should help with the delirium!

She then notes the bruised ribs and winces. "Well... no wonder..." And Ayako quickly mixes red and purple healing water to apply to the bruised ribs. That should help her breathe more easily now! Her head inclines to the side gently. "A dream, huh? I'm no hallucination, though." She giggles softly and then nods her head slowly. "Un. It's normal to not recall a few things that happened before you become unconscious."

Ayako looks back over to Eryl and shakes her head slowly. "I see... well... you be careful all the same, Eryl. It's horrible when I come by to help at Medical and I see you here. It..." She pauses for a moment, "Makes me want to go with you when you do whatever so I can keep you from getting so hurt."
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl offers a wry smile to Landon. "Just Eryl is fine, Prince al Cid. Thank you for your help, I apologize that you had to go out of your way." He notices his red face when he looks at Noiela and can't help but grin despite his raging sense of shame. Ah, to be young and not having 'those' feelings aggressively schooled out of you.

He looks to Grumble properly, now that the dog is not defying gravity, bowing his head to the empowered pug. "Thank you then, Mister Grumble. I hope I didn't interrupt your wanderings." Oh no, that reminds him. ReGenesis is going to have more words with him for his actions interrupting his wanderings. Well, nothing yet, so maybe everyone is asleep. He could use some quiet right now.

Looking at the nearby bed that Noiela occupies, Eryl can't help but laugh a little. Goodness, the Union really is very good at soothing his nerves, even inadvertently. "I guess I'll be writing the after-action report then. When she is more lucid, I'll ask her about what happened."

Then, he looks to Ayako and raises an eyebrow. He could almost swear... no, he's imagining things. Maybe water spirits are different. Or she is just being friendly. Yeah, just his imagination. "Believe me; I do not go out of my way to get hurt, Miss Ayako. I wasn't even responding to an attack, I was just there to take in the views."
Noiela Two water 'globs' later, Noiela gently oozes back into a more lucid state of mind and body, rasping breath easing into its regular rythmn and eyes lose their glazed mile stare to grow rapid. Her pale features contort, assailed by horrified comprehension. Several minutes in, she has resumed enough to be deemed in control of her tongue; aware.

"Was there...a winged horse among us?" Pausing, her attention deliberately skips over the contented dog whose presence was assumed a hallucination. Once she might have boggled and refused to acknowledge it could be possible, now all the girl does upon studying Grumble is simply hitch her shoulders up into a lopsided demonstration of impartiality, politely nod and continue to persist in her query.

"Please, I-I borrowed it from a knight who hails from my world on oath it would remain safe and uninjured." Memory knocks, pinching her mouth with more than bodily pain. "I rescued Sir..." Groping mentally, she motions generally in Eryls direction. "Eryl...you recall the horse." A smile graces her mouth, subtle and quickly dispelled. "It swooped in to rescue you from falling."
Grumble Head yoyoing back and forth watching his human friends talk as he idly licks his own nose clean. Grumble realizes something. He smells something odd in the air. Like the scent of some creatures during mating season. Ah...some form of courtship ritual was going on with the human's. Best not to interfere.

"You are most welcome mister Fairfax. My wanderings are not as importance are your well being and safety. The injured female whose name I do not know. She is speaking oddly. Will she be alright?" Tilting his head he gives out questioningly growl before turning his head towards Landon and realizing they have not been introduced either. "Hello Mister Prince Landon. I am Grumble. We have not met before!"
Landon al Cid      Landon is very studiously and very carefully looking at the ceiling instead of taking a peek at Noiela. It still continues not to be proper. That, or the tile he's looking at has a most incredible pattern on it. Maybe it's a fascinating ceiling. It is the first extraversal ceiling he's ever studied, after all! Maybe the Prince just has weird hobbies!

No. No, he's just polite. He's actually strangely comforted *and* strangely depressed to see how similar medical facilities are in the extraverse. It's interesting, the little trends that carry over, the little samenesses that carry through.

"This is not a dream, Lady Noiela. You are quite wide awake; of that I assure you. Thankfully, I don't believe you suffered any serious head trauma. I, erm...I'm not certain, abut the horse."

"Ah...Landon is quite alright, outside Galianda itself," the Prince notes at Eryl, "While I have duties to my country and my world, as an ally of the Union, I see no reason to force people to stand on formality."

Landon finally stops staring at the ceiling to look over at Grumble. He'd already seen Ayako earlier; the lovely Water Spirit had been one of the first extraversal to earn a Galiandan license, and he'd seen what she was capable of, but Grumble was sort of fascinating. He offers the dog a broad smile.

"Good day, Sir Grumble. No, we have not. I am Landon al Cid, Prince of Ramuh. You may call me Landon; as I said to Sir Fairfax, I'm not the sort to stand on formalities. It is a pleasure to meet you." Landon holds out his hand, assuming that Grumble will either shake it, or have some other form of doggy greeting practice.

Landon never had a dog, so this is a whole new experience for him! He's had a chocobo, but that wasn't a childhood-friend kind of thing that was a racing-mount kind of thing.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako smiles softly when she hears Eryl laugh a little. Ah, that's good! She does incline her head to the side gently and blink her amber eyes slowly when Eryl raises his eyebrow. "Aahh... that's good. Sometimes I wonder, you know." She shakes her head slowly and turns her attention back to Noiela.

"Ah." That was quick! Elites always seem to recover so quickly with a little help! It surprises Ayako every time. Still, she nods her head slowly. "Un! There was a winged horse that was evacuated as well." She glances off to the side awkwardly. "That sort of thing isn't my specialty so... that's in another part of Njorun." She smiles softly. "But! For now, you have to care about yourself and recover, Noiela!"
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl listens close to Noiela as she starts asking about that winged horse. "Oh, it wasn't yours? That does explain why it was so rambunctious. Do not worry, I am sure that it is fine. The man I fought did not strike me as the type to practice wanton cruelty to animals." Certainly the type to practice it on cyborg diplomats though, he thinks bitterly, but keeps the smile on his face.

Looking down at Grumble, he chuckles and nods. "She will be fine, Mister Grumble. She is just a little woozy from the fighting and the healing." Now if only ReGenesis were so understanding of his breaks from his wanderings. Well, Eryl's were a little more important, but...

"Oh, very well Landon. I notice that you are not exactly, well... dressed. I do hope that we did not drag you out of bed?" Eryl asks, indicating the robe that peeks out under his officious armour.

But then Ayako says something interesting. She 'wonders?' Does he really come across as someone who goes looking to be hurt? Hm. "Do not worry Miss Ayako. Clearly, I am not as good in a fight as I think myself to be. I'll try to pick them more carefully in the future." Eryl... isn't sure if he can keep that promise. He cannot just stand idly by when people are being hurt. But, if it will cheer her up...
Grumble Continues to listen. So the woman was named Noiela. He would make sure to greet her later when she was less dazed. Having watched Ayako work with her wondrous water magic he had no doubt his friends would soon recover.

Turning his head back to Mister Landon he takes in all his titles. Was that how his people introduced themselves properly? To be polite he would try to respond in the same way. Staring at Landon's hand he sniffs it and licks the fingers happily in greeting. "Hello Mister Landon. It is a pleasure to meet you. As I said I am Grumble, a pug, of my burrow. You may call me Grumble."
Noiela "Thank for you assuring me, Prince Landon." says the injured girl, reclining back on her propped pillows to study the interaction between man and his best friend. Ayakos answer does go towards allievating the heavy crease of her brow better than any cream, but only a dog and his sensitive nose would sniff out the lingering unease lying beneath. Humans rarely think to cover emotional reactions on a canine level; if even possible.
"Yes, Miss Ayako." Resting a hand lightly on her stomach to mutter "Definitely tempted fate bringing potions along to a fight." Switching her attention to address Eyrl, "It...was, most uh...onery." Studiously focusing on the crowd, Noiela shutters out any disquieting memories to be a model patient.

"We dragged...I beg your pardon, f-for it."
Still yet to latch onto her underdressed state, or possibly wilfully overlooking it. There is no indication either way from her whose long, wisping hair matches up with the hospital colour theme. At least she seems slightly more composed.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako walks back over to Eryl and pokes him on the nose with her pointer finger. "You do end up here an awful lot. Even Shirou is more reckless than you are and doesn't end up in here nearly as often. And so, I will worry." She smiles softly at Eryl. "Besides! I have to help fix you up so that ReGenesis isn't short their Eryl!"

"Now!" She turns towards her two patients, "This water spirit recommends that you both sleep and recover your mind, body, and spirit!" Ayako smiles brightly. "And, if any place hurts that is keeping you up, please let me know and I'll do what I can."
Landon al Cid      "A-ah," Landon shakes his head, "No, I...was simply preparing for bed. I...erm, I had planned to get an early start on a project, but as I was heading for my sleep, Lady Noiela asked for help, and, well..."

"Far be it from me to ignore a lady's distress when I have the time and the means to aid, yes? Thankfully, Lady Ayako was on hand, and Sir Grumble's speedy evacuation ensured that no one came to permanent harm."

Grumble licks his fingers. Landon is slightly surprised by this; as someone who has never owned a dog, he wasn't quite prepared, but as a politician from Ramuh, he's very good at *hiding* that he wasn't quite prepared. The pug's imitation of his own greeting brought a much wider smile to his face. That was just sort of adorable. "Then I shall do just that, Grumble."

"It's no trouble at all. I," oops, he looked over. The young man's face goes red, and he immediately decides that maybe that ceiling tile is actually suuuuuuper interesting again!

     "I'm happy to help!"

He wasn't normally like this! He had *six* sisters, it's not like they hadn't tormented him before! Then again, he wasn't normally around girls who were thoroughly underdressed. There was an order to these things. A, a, a /methodology/ to which a man ought interact with a lady in such a manner. It was *important*! All the moreso, in this big, new world, where people and traditions seemed as fluid as the water Ayako was made of. Galianda stood firm on traditions. Patterns. Repeating ideas. They were important. So, so a traditional thing, like a noble gentleman not looking at a lady in such a state, that was important! Hormones be damned. He was a /gentleman/ first - 'man' came after 'gentle'!

"...you ought to sleep, Lady Noiela. Lady Ayako is right; it restores the self. Only Phoenix has no time to sleep, as we say."

Landon glances at the door. Thank all the Divines the Judges had elected to remain outside. They'd go right to his sisters with this, and then he'd get a repeat of the /last/ incident, and he was *still* dealing with the repercussions of *that*.

Uneasy the head that hangs the crown with a large family consisting primarily of women.
Eryl Fairfax Eryl blinks and goes cross-eyed to stare at the watery finger as it pokes his nose. He breaks out into a small chuckle. "Well, I'll be sure to let them know that they need to be forwarding you a paycheck, Ayako." To be honest, he's a little glad that he is being ordered to rest. He lies back down and looks to Landon and Grumble.

"Thank you both for coming to our aid. If either of you ever need aid, do not be afraid to call. But for now, I am just going to tune out and go through my recovered files, if you don't mind."

And with that, he squeezes his eyes shut and his face goes blank, wandering memories past with perfect accuracy. But to the rest of world, it kind of looks like he just passed out instantly.
Grumble Grumble gives a happy bark at having made friends with Mister Landon. Then he stops himself as he realizes Miss Noiela was attempting to sleep. Giving one last look around as Miss Ayako continues to court with Mister Fairfax. He feels his tummy grumble after so much worrying and exercise. Sniffing the air he could smell the faint smell of food somewhere in the distance.

"I am hungry. Would you like to join me in searching for delicious foods Mister Landon?" Stretching he hops to his feet and gently bounces to the floor. Eager and guided by the sound of his namesake he does not wait long for a response and heads out the hospital room door following his nose. Regardless of what Landon's response.
Noiela "Even so-allies steadfast in their duty are vital. I echo Sir Eryls sentiments." What veers close to laughter bubbles beneath her placid words when the verbose princeling cuts himself short, though she gives not a jot of recognition to her state and his reaction being linked.

Noiela merely grants Ayako a tired smile for her recommendation; by extension the room before turning on her side to settle down for the hour. Soon genuine slumber replaces feigned; drifting away to ponder her own questions about the future and her part in it. Maybe also, just maybe dream of a dog like Grumble with his uncomplicated emotions and wholehearted focus on what gives him pleasure.
Landon al Cid      "Ah...I suppose that, yes, we can go take a look for some food for you, Sir Grumble," Landon decides. It surely won't take long to find some food in the station! Definitely not with a small flank of Judges with them. One of them probably knows *something* about dogs.

"Rest well, Lady Noiela, Sir Eryl. Lady Ayako...we shall see you again, I have no doubt."
