Owner Pose
Faruja Faruja Senra, clad today in simple white robes, looks visibly nervous. His fur is slightly on end, and his tail flicks far more than usual. There's a small, slightly long box wrapped in chocobo-print wrapping paper with a cute little blue bow tied atop it. He (poorly) hides it behind his back, alongside a card and a bouquet of white roses. The nezumi sits outside their joint dwelling. He, for once, knocks. Very, very odd for when he could simply just walk in!

But today is special. He's going to do this right as he awaits on their crystalline doorstep. Faruja's face holds the mixture of boyish excitement and nervousness that he rarely shows to anyone else.
Ainsley     Ainsley shows up at the front door, pulling it open and standing there with a bewildered look on her face. Her tail sways behind her for a second or two, seeming to match her confusion. As always, she tries to think before she speaks, but in this particular case she is more than a little caught off guard.

"Silly man," she murmurs at him, "Get in here. This is /our/ house." She steps through the doorway to grab for one of his wrists, smiling at him in good humor, but then she halts when she realizes he has something in one of his hands. She clasps her hands in front of her chest in a surprisingly feminine and uncertain way, looking at him searchingly. She looks almost owlish.

    "Faruja...?"
Faruja Faruja can't hold himself back. His grin blossoms on his face, and then arms throw themselves around the lizardess. Smoooooch~ He lingers, then finally pulls back.

Impish look go! "Hello, mine love. An early Ajora's day to thee." Griiin!

First, come the flowers. "While I fear their beauty pales to thine own, they shall at least give us a touch of nature to our new abode." Oh yeah, he's laying it on thick.

Then, he shows off the box and card quietly. That nervousness returns, and he's wobbling on claw-tips.
Ainsley     Ainsley eagerly accepted the kiss, only to look at Faruja more quizzically the more excited he seemed to be. The flowers get a sniff -- a momentary snuffling noise as the scent disturbs her sensitive lizard-y nose in a cute way -- and then she finds the vase she was meaning to put some flowers in right near the front door inside the house, for them. Because he's handing her something else.

She accepts the card and box... and decides to read the card first. After all, that's how this works! She looks very entertained and very confused. "Like a young scholar trying to win my heart," she remarks, cheerfully, referencing the idea of being given a gift of flowers and a box on her doorstep. Mostly because it's absurd since he already has her adoration.
Faruja Faruja watches as her lizardy snout wiggles, and then she sneezes! He stifles a chuckle...for all of a half second. Two ears wiggle!

"Ye art adorable, Ainsley" he says affectionately before closing the door.

Her words only seem to make him blush more! By now, one can see it through the fur. He leans on his cane, one leg behind the other.

Totally not a nervous wreck.

The card is hand-made, though the artistry is barely passable. Clearly, it's not Faruja's calling! Still, he's made a tiny Christmas tree, and a pair of what /might/ be a quetzal and nezumi hugging beside it.

The inside is more important.

'I have been far too delinquent in this, my sweet. Ye art precious, intelligent, calm, loving, and care for others beyond what I could hope. And most of all, ye accept me, flaws and all. For that, I cannot help but love thee eternal.'

'Please, take this small trinket, a token of my intentions and love for thee. A proper Lady aught be courted properly, for ye art more graceful than any noble, more humble than any lowborn. I am unworthy, and yet, I shall strive to be worthy.'

Yours Evermore,

Faruja

The box's contents are slightly more grand: a red-and-gold ribbon fitted to be tied around the tail. At the edge are the initials 'F.S.' and 'A' joined by a heart.

Faruja, by now tapping claws to floor, looks imploringly at his love.
Ainsley     The card gets a warm smile out of Ainsley, the effort he put into it appreciated without any particular judgment. He tried to draw a picture just for this, without any outside help, and so she carefully sets the card aside so it doesn't get damaged before she even opens the box. "Faruja," she tells him, "You /are/ worthy. That is why we are together, isn't it?" She smiles at him. She's confident about that, if not very much else.

The bow gets a look of surprise... Like she was expecting something else, but this was pleasant in comparison. She immediately knows what it's for, since she did ask Faru a bit about Burmecian culture. She pulls the ribbon out of the box, turning and grabbing her tail so she can tie it to the end of her tail, where here tail tuft is. She makes sure the initials are visible when she ties it into a cute little bow.

Then she steps up to Faruja, and throws her arms up over his shoulders, resting her chin on one of his shoulders. A big, squeezing hug ensues that she lingers on until he decides to break it himself. Not a word is spoken about the gift or the card, her reaction making it clear that she loved the thought that was put into them.
Faruja There's a light sigh. He looks into Ainsley's eyes for a long moment. Her confidence finally has him smiling again, shoving away his feelings of doubt and worth. She feels him worthy. That's good enough. Another squeeze. No words, just a look of love.

Arms cross, and Faruja takes in the sight of her putting on the bow with relish. "Ye look absolutely beautiful!" There's relief and joy. He'd half worried it was too much!

Before he can inspect further, he catches the lizard that slings herself at him! Squeeeeze. Similarly, he's quiet, pressing his muzzle against her cheek. For a moment, the world stops, and he basks in the warmth of his love.

"To many more, mine sweet. I look forward to what time shall bring us."
