Quentyn Westwind     Yamakawa Vehicle Restorations and Customizations. Now that Quentyn is slowly getting to know this world, he actually shows up to the business/home on purpose (Ok, maybe he takes a wrong turn once or twice but the student gets there), his usual notebook in hand. Not taking notes again on this area, however. If the door's closed, he'll knock/doorbell. If it's not, Quentyn will peek through without actually stepping inside.
Shir Shir decides to see how her motorcycle is coming along seeing how she doesn't have anything else planned for the day. She doesn't have much trouble finding the shop now that's already been here before. The thief notices that Quentyn is here again as well, "Looks like we keep running into each other. I would say it's fate but I don't really believe in that sort of thing." Unlike Quentyn she takes a more direct approach turning the knob to see if it's locked or not.
Kotone Yamakawa It seems Kotone's closed today, but she hears the doorbell ringing and comes down. A little speaker comes to life and she calls out in Japanese.

<Right, I'm coming give me a moment.>

She comes to the door not naked but clearly just wearing a t-shirt and likely very quickly thrown on pants.

"Quentyn? Shir? ... Come in."

She takes a moment to open the door and let both in.
Shir "Oh, didn't realize this was your day off." Shir notices how hasty Kotone got dressed. "How are things going?" She smiles at her before adding, "Sorry, about last time guess I got a bit carried away." She trusts her even if she's a cyborg.
Quentyn Westwind     Blinkblink. Quentyn looks over to Shir, then giving the thief a quick smile in greeting. "Hi again." Hey look, words too this time! He brings a curled finger close to his chin, almost tapping it, but pausing. "Um... 'happy holidays' is the thing to say around this time on most outworlder calendars, right..?" Quentyn's kind of awkward smile suggests the white mage isn't /meaning/ to sound vaguely xenophobic.

"Hi," Quentyn greets Kotone when she comes to the door, and he takes the invitation to step inside, out of the cold weather. Fiddling with his glasses when he notes her dress, "Um... I just had some questions about, um, technology, your technology I mean... but I can come back another time if we're interrupting..." Galianda's 12-day weeks probably don't line up with the weekends of the Gregorian calendar that often.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "No it's fine I closed today as my bays are full up with both project and there are people back in the america's who'd say and do worse to me for what I am now."

She looks to Quentyn and just grins.

"Thank you and yes most major and a number of minor relgions have relgious festivals around this time of year."

She lets them in and then closes the door.

"Sure come up stairs and I'll get you something if either of you want it just don't nick the stuff on the lower shelf of the fridge, that's it tastes horrible to those who are not agumented like myself."
Shir "Well, if anyone gives you any crap just let me know." Shir's not going to let her friends get pushed around after all. "So why the Americas specifically? They're not as technology forward as here?" It kind of reminds Shir of Dezoris. "Well, there are books and movies if you want to learn more about technology though Kotone's more interesting to listen to." She prefers to be able to interact with the person she's listening to."

"Well, it's always the holidays somewhere in the Multiverse, though there's more of them around this time of year." There's no way Shir could keep track of them all. She looks around to see if her bike is anywhere or if it's in storage.
Quentyn Westwind     Quentyn just quietly follows for now. The mention of food specific to those with artificial or mostly artificial bodies does get the student to tilt his head. And pull a pencil out of the binding of his notebook and scribble a few notes briefly. He keeps the pencil poised there too, waiting curious for the answer to Shir's question-- just what are the politics of this world?

"Um... well, it's a kinda specific thing I want to know, not just general knowledge..." Quentyn gives another one of those awkward, anxious smiles of his.
Kotone Yamakawa As they head upstairs Shir would see the pair of bikes which are clearly being worked on in the garage but up into the living area she goes she looks at Shir for a moment tiling her head a little but as sh leads tem into the living area for a moment.

"Oh it's all over the world but there's a larger portion of anti cyberists there who are far more 'proactive' and outspoken. Though the worst groups are not from there like the human liberation front. Sure feel free to ask, would either of you like a soda? Water?"
Quentyn Westwind     Quentyn scribbles a few notes. And pauses at the question. What does soda from other worlds taste like? "Um, anything's OK." He flashes a grin.

"Um... I've been thinking more about how our magic works in the outworlds... And, I actually kinda met someone else that has a mechanical body." A hand reaches around his hood to scratch the back of his head. "Um... I have no way to use my Cure spells on people like you, you know?" Quentyn really doesn't mean that turn of phrase in a bad way: oblivious, from the look of him.

"In my world um... technology and the arts we call magic can't be separated, but we're not as advanced as some places. So... there has to be someone or somewhere, where they have Cure-like spells that do work on mechanical bodies... right?" Quentyn looks mostly to Kotone for affirmation of his hypothesis, but he also glances to Shir to see if she, too, might know.
Shir "Yeah, you've mentioned that before. Wouldn't she have to get hurt or damaged first before you could test that?" Not that Shir's suggesting they do that. "I'm not sure how well techniques would work either since they're powered by the mind." Quentyn's question does have her wondering about that. Esper magic would likely work on Kotone but the thief doesn't really know about that. "Soda will be fine, and who else did you meet?" She can't help but to be curious.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa titls her head for a moment she thinks some healing magic has worked upon her but would have to talk to the magic user in question.

"It's still odd to think of flicking youtr wrist and mumbling a few words could envoke something so powerful as rapidly healing or improving the condtion of wounds. So it's like milk mixed into tea for your world? Curious."

She'll come back with a few cans of Bingo Cola, she's found she likes it better than the tradtional two on her world the eldrich rivals of the soda world.

"I think I encounted some like it but it was ... in the middle of a very hectic situation. I'm curious why are you presuing suich information. Also I'm curious too, most of the people here going off world have been acdemic, trade related or mercs left over from the world wars seeking better places to go. IT's kinda sad some of them don't have... countries anymore."
Quentyn Westwind     "Um... someone called Fuki, um, well, talked to her over the radio anyways," Quentyn asnwers Shir, finishing with a quick smile and a shrug. And he nodnods to Kotone. "It's actually kinda a problem, like, if you came to my world... well..." He rummages around his bookbag for a moment and pulls out a battered/acient looking flip phone.

"You have ways to store 'electricity', right? But this runs off, um, me. So if you got one from Galianda, you couldn't turn it on..." More scratching the back of his head, then tugging his white mage hoodie back into place, and he dumps the phone back into his bag. "But I think some people are trying to fix that..."

Quentyn takes the cola, looking at it curiously. Then he opens it and takes a very tentative sip. The student looks thoughtful, but in a good way, and he gives Kotone a thumbs up.

"...Because right now, there's nothing I can do if people like you or Fuki get hurt..." Another Quentyn-smile, this time with a touch of sadness. "I want to change that."
Shir "I see, you remind me of one my friends." Shir can't help but to notice now, there was also somewhat of a physical resemblance as well. She takes the soda from Kotone before taking a sip. It was passable though not something she would want to drink every day. "Well, I'm not really the technological sort of myself. I mean I can use a computer and everything, but that's kind of expected on a high tech world." She certainly won't be able to fix Kotone or anything though. "Well, I'm not really welcome back home but I don't tend to stay in one place too long so it doesn't really get to me."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Ah Fuki, she's one of the tiny androids I heard about isn't she?"

She alto humms at the mention of electricity and smirks.

"What do you think my body's running on but yes we can and no I have no magic. My ... adventures in Kingsmouth reminds me of this a lot. It's still taking a lot to get used to. Before my world unifed? You'd be seen as crazy for talking about magic. It's funny how that goes and honestly duct tape works well a a bandage for me just saying. I really should consider some upgrades there's some body types that can slowly repair themselves if you injest the materials they need. Mostly military grade stuff though."
Quentyn Westwind     Quentyn can't help but flush slightly at the comparison to someone else, or maybe just the closer examination. Easy to embarrass? "Tiny? Um, I haven't seen her..." Quentyn shrugs lopsidedly. "Um... But I need something a little better than a bandage..." He sags a little and slips his notebook away, and simply sips at the cola.
Shir "Yeah, but I think would rather get repaired than walk around covered in duct tape." Shir thinks that would be rather uncomfortable. "They don't have any self-repairing civilain models? I mean I doubt you have enough people to fix everyone right?" She thiks that would be more convient. "Yeah, bandages can only do so much."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Oh Fuki and the others like her are about six inches tall give or take really. Fair enough but yes my world has taken to quite the extream and no the cost on such is pretty high really and the tech is oin the newer end. I mean some basic repairs can be done but these ones can like repair thier own synth skin given time."
Quentyn Westwind     Here Quentyn mostly just listens, looking at Shir and Kotone each as they talk (And still sipping the cola. It will take him forever to finish at this rate)... but at the end of it all he asks, "Um... do you know any worlds that have the kind of tech I need?"
Shir Shir smirks a bit as notices Quentyn's reaction to her statement. "Yeah, even though they can fight it doesn't take much force to break someone that's six inches tall. Of course she's not the most durable person herself, but at least she's not tiny. "My world doesn't really do the whole technology powered by magic thing, sorry." She tries to think of somewhere else she's been that might. "Yeah, that sounds rather expensive for those who don't have a lot of money." That doesn't tend to be a problem for her, but she knows it can be for others.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I haven't been going off world for more than a year so I'm afraid I have no idea really. Depends really what they are made out of and ya mass is still a thing for the most part. Magic's still something I'm wrapping my head about also depends how easy it is to swap parts too."
Quentyn Westwind     Quentyn nods to both Shir and Kotone. "Ok um... I'll keep asking around. Thanks." He gives them both a smile and starts to turn for the door. "Oh-- Um-- Happy holidays." He grins with the same enthusiasm of someone that just learned to say hello in a foreign language.
Shir "You too. Guess, I should let you get back to your day off." Shir figures she'll let Kotone have her privacy. "Be careful out there." It sounds like they're still new to the Multiverse. She smiles back and makes her way out behind Quentyn.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Naw I don't mind I don't get many visatoprs humm you want to go out somewhere to get some food? Trust me I know some good places around here."

Yes she's become quite the foodie since her conversion.

"Come on it will be fun and you'll both get to see the city a bit!"
Shir Shir stops as she hears that. "Sure, why not I could go for something to eat. Know any good places around here?" She's still not that familiar with the area after all.
Quentyn Westwind     "Um... I don't have a lot of time before I have to get back. Sorry." Quentyn gives the two an apologetic smile. He'll follow them out to the street, but from there part ways as the student heads towards the local warp gate.
