Vegeta Ancient Planet Vegeta. A version of the saiyan homeworld that was doomed before the Planet Trade Organization ever took it over. It's mere months from being swallowed by its local star, a star that takes up most of the horizon as the planet moves toward it at an incredible speed.

Not a single living thing remains on this planet anymore. The atmosphere barely hangs on by a thread, only the most durable individuals could possible survive here. The heat is intense, and only a small portion of the planet ever actually experiences night at this point.

Volcanos erupt, storms are intense, and what on Earth would be Northern lights are instead planet wide as solar radiation blasts against the planet. Vegeta has chosen a mountain that looks as if the top's been cut off to make a flat surface. His space ship, formerly Cooler's, orbits the planet with a view of the planet on large computer screens. Anyone who would rather avoid the planet has been invited to stay there if they like.

"Raditz! Any day now!" he shouts, standing there with his arms crossed. He's as calm as can be, apparently not bothered by the harsh surroundings of this ancient version of his home.
Serori Having to trade out cozy holiday sweaters and hot chocolate for armor and weighted combat boots should be an inconvenience; however, for a saiyan like Serori, the transformation is exhilirating. Sure, peacetime had its merits -- it's hard to raise a family in the midst of constant war, for one -- though there's really no doubt about how boring it gets after awhile.

The reason /why/ she's garbed herself for war is a thrill, too. The saiyan crown hasn't been in true contention for almost two years; now, Vegeta's come back to take his crown. Serori may not be too sure about Vegeta just yet, but she does know that Raditz hasn't been the king she hoped he would be, and she's very interested in what the future might look like for the saiyan people with a revamped Vegeta at their forefront.

Since Gohan hadn't ever made the attempt at true /saiyan/ leadership, all Serori's hopes may very well rest on Vegeta -- an idea she'd /not/ have entertained during the Prince's previous rule.

How things have changed.

Serori appears in a blur beside Vegeta. Nothing like apprehension or excitement can be seen in her calm, proud expression. The moment she appears, the winds snap at her scarlet cape, pulling it streaming back from her shoulders. That haughty lift of her brow lends her speculative stare a decidedly imperious effect.

"So this is where you found the barbarians." Serori glances sidelong at Vegeta. "I understand their gratitude. Saa. Fight well today."

She takes up a position well away.
Mantigora That the truce was downright -boring- is part of the reason that Mantigora decided to tag along more or less. The other part being that, much like her own people, the Saiyans are a warrior race. Or are suppose to be. Serori and Vegeta certainly fit the bill, but she knows nothing of this Raditz. And knowing nothing about potential enemies is never a good thing. So she's here to watch, to enjoy, and maybe learn a thing or two.

And also maybe get a bit hammered in the process, if the retro looking keg barrel she's toting over one shoulder means everything.
Raditz     It's somewhat ironic, and yet fitting all the same that this meeting is taking place concerning the title of a race from dead world. Raditz had been taking his time on account of spending it with his family. He certainly didn't want this to be happening on Christmas Day, so he's glad this meeting has been post-poned until now.

However, some people just can't wait to get started, and so Raditz makes his appearance as swift as possible, making his way on a Union designated space pod that he knows won't be missed, and once he lands on the planet, he just climbs out and tilts his neck, one way and the other, popping his joints. With that, he flies on up with speed, making his way before Vegeta, wearing his Royal Saiyan armor, cape and all.

He pointedly ignores Serori's presence for the moment. As far as he's concerned, she's a giant distraction, and one he just is going to have to ignore until this meeting is over, for better or worse.

To Vegeta, Raditz glares for a moment as he considers his thoughts, and says, "So, here we are, meeting on our ostensibly dead homeworld, fighting over what was ostensibly a dead title... When you got those guys, I was actually worried for a moment they were going to be a bunch of chumps, but I guess they survived this long enough, huh?"

After a moment more, he glares, "I was almost... -ALMOST- willing just relinquish the title, you know... But then I remembered you were kind of an asshole."
Vegeta "Hah! If you simply relinquished the title then it wouldn't be much of one, especially considering what she says you've been holding back." Vegeta points at Serori, then the ground begins to rumble, tiny pebbles rising into the air. "She says you've reached the second level. So, if you truly have... then we'll power up to our maximum level, and we'll fight without an ounce of holding back."

He looks over at Serori, very serious now. "You don't want to be this close when we start."
Serori Oh, is /that/ what's going to happen? Serori loses the smirk she'd adopted for her banter, nods once at Vegeta, and takes herself not only as far away as two miles, but higher into the atmosphere, too. Just because Raditz and Vegeta have been reduced to small dots doesn't mean she won't be able to watch the fight unfold; the power she can sense emanating from the two is already enough to provide her with all the information she requires.

Serori frowns over at the scene, anyway, as if she can see every detail -- like an eagle watching a mouse in the field.
Mantigora "Interesting planet." This said about a place that's -dead-. "Kinda reminds of home, with the volcanos and blistering sun heat." Yeah, Mikros is a few levels more inhabital than what's left of this place, and that's one of the nastiest known planets from her neck of the universes. But there's an old Draken saying about one having to at least see the land to appreciate the fight upon it, so that's why Mantigora actually came down for a look around.

Once that appreciation is had, she well heads Vegeta's warning and uses a recall beacon to get back up to the ship. There in front of all the viewscreens showing the scene below she finally sets down and taps the keg she's been toting around, filling a mug with red fluid that's slightly more viscious than your average alcohol. And smells faintly of berry... and strongly of blood. That's... just the smell, right? Right?

Her species IS essentially highly evolved predators, so I wouldn't hedge too many bets on that being -just- an aroma.
Kyra Hyral     In a way, the truce thing was sort of a drag. Kyra had been itching to help! But on the other hand, the truce did provide some...interesting opportunities. For example, today she had the opportunity to see an important moment in Saiyan culture: a leadership fight!

Kyra has claimed a comfortable chair and a big bucket of popcorn for this viewing. She also asked beforehand if there is going to be a recording of this fight available for download later. The condition of the planet is also of interest to the teenager-but not enough that she wants to walk around on the surface of that planet. The solar radiation would wreak havoc on her extremely sunburnable skin, for starters.

Mantigora beams herself up and Kyra turns to stare at her for a moment. "...hi!" she greets. "Popcorn?"
Mantigora Mantigora pauses to peer at Kyra for a moment. Then takes a handful of popcorn and sniffs at it. Then tosses it in her mouth. Thoughtfully chews. Kind of like puffed crowncorn. "Thanks." Takes a hearty swig of her blood-like brew to wash it down afterwards.
Raditz     "Most of the time I just don't want to blow up the planet I'm on, so I don't usually go all out like that... Usually." Raditz allows himself a bit of a smirk, "Since the planet we're on is basically dead anyway, I don't think anyone will look at it one way or the other if it spontaniously exploded."

Raditz's De Facto Kingship was going against vs Vegeta's De Jure claim, and Raditz wasn't pleased with the idea, so he continues to talk anyway, at least for a bit longer, "I tried looking for Saiyans, you know. Looking for a variant universe to see if there were any alive that weren't a bunch of jackasses, but each one I went to just disappointed me." He hmphs a bit, "I was hoping to find our race that understood there was nobility in being warriors, and that we wouldn't just end up a bunch of Frieza's pawns every time. Even the ones that took out Frieza just showed the worst of our race, conquerors and monsters."

He shifts his stance some more, this time to get ready to power up. "So yeah, Kakarot's idiocy has rubbed off on me. Go figure."

With that, growls and begins to charge his power, his aura flaring up.
Vegeta "I didn't want you to have any excuses, so we're doing this here. Decisively. No excuses, no innocent people for you to worry about." Vegeta listens to Raditz, arms still crossed, a volcano bursting all the way into the atmosphere a few miles off in the distance, as if unable to stand the pressure of the two saiyans getting ready to power up.

"That's the difference between the two of us. what makes me a saiyan of royal blood and education, and you a lowly grunt. You looked for what you wanted, you expected the universe to simply hand them to you." His hair suddenly explodes, skipping a stage, directly to his most powerful form. Muscles more defined, hair more ridged and spiky, a more golden yellow. His aura is wild, electricity arcing wildly.

"But me..." He holds his hand out as he speaks, peering directly into Raditz' eyes. "I found primitives, lower than even you. Practically on all fours. I found them, and I made them into the very paragon of what it means to be a saiyan. If you truly want power, if you truly want this empire to be something more than my vision, then you have to -take- it."
Raditz     Raditz's own form pops into the first stage of Super Saiyan, Golden hair, green eyes, power spiking up, aura rumbling about him. He doesn't feel the need to show off that he can reach the second stage, since he has nothing to prove. Instead he keeps talking, "You know, you're absolutely right." He closes his eyes a bit, "You're right about everything you said just now, and your point is quite valid... I expected the universe to just hand over what I wanted... But what I wanted isn't power, or an empire... What I wanted was REDEMPTION!"

And with a roar, the earth shakes, and lightning strikes around him, energy crackling around his arms as his hair spikes up in time with his power, senting a ripple accross the sky on par with that with Vegeta's own transformation. The inner fury can be seen in Raditz's eyes as he glares down at Vegeta, before he turns his fist to show a scar the back of his hand to the other Saiyan.

"This damn thing has been gnawing and clawing at my mind, and no matter what I do, it keeps itching with names and faces and lives... YOU THINK YOU'RE HOT STUFF, VEGETA?! I DESTROYED AN ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!"

He roars and shifts his stance, "SO WHEN I KICK YOUR ASS, I'M GOING TO TAKE YOUR EMPIRE AND REDEEM OUR WHOLE DAMN RACE WITH IT!"
Serori The unleashed powers race across the atmosphere in a palpable physical shockwave. Even at her distance, Serori must squint against the gusting winds and windborne dust. Energy tingles along her skin, and apprehension puts up the hair on the back of her neck, but it's not Vegeta she turns her surprised stare toward -- it's Raditz.

She's seldom heard him so passionate about anything.

Her tail loops itself tight around her waist. Serori folds her arms across her chest, and waits for Vegeta's response, a scowl settling over her features.
Soan Sagittarius "Oh, oh, what did I miss?" Soan Sagittarius just arrived. As far as most people might be concerned, he could have been there all along, just waiting for things to happens before making himself known. He is not the kind to precise which one of theses scenarios is the true one. He's seated comfortably on a chair near Kyra, looking around and taking a bit of the popcorn. "Did it start?"
Vegeta "That's right, show me your rage, drink it in, unleash every bit of your power! Show me how worthy you are, show me that a fool didn't just get lucky!" Vegeta holds his hands out, completely exposing his chest, raising his head as he stares down his nose at the taller form of Raditz, smiling with some sort of evil glee.

"If I win here today, I want to feel as if I truly beat a king. So show me how much you want this, show me how much you hate me. Unleash yourself, because today, you don't fight a universe, you fight the PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS!!!" he also unleashes his own roar of words, then suddenly slams his hands together, sending a thin yet incredibly powerful shockwave of yellow ki in the direction of the current king, large chunks of the ground getting parted right under it.
Raditz     Raditz growls and pulls his fist back, charging energy into his hand before throwing a palm out to release a burst of energy to counteract the ki shock-wave and stop it dead. He glares a bit more, and says, "You really are into your own hype, aren't ya, Jackass?"

And with that, Raditz goes on the offensive, making an instant movement to put himself right in front of Vegeta, and aims to drive his palm right into the bridge of Vegeta's nose, before starting to rain blows upon him. "GET OVER YOURSELF!"
Kyra Hyral     Kyra grins back at Mantigora. "Hey, if you don't mind me asking...what's your species? I've never seen someone like you before."

Soan arrives and Kyra waves enthusiastically at her fellow classmate, "So far it's been a bunch of yelling. Declarations and challenges and stuff like that, probably part of the ritual-oh, here we go, now they're getting to the fighting!"
Mantigora "A savage warrior race known as the Draken," Mantigora replies. Which pretty much explains why she's here to watch, as well. "A certain amount of posturing and taunting always precedes this sort of gladitoral clash." She refills her mug of the viscious red drink from her keg and finds herself a seat. "Help selves to some blood brew." Well that answers if it actually has blood in it or not.
Vegeta Vegeta's eyes close as blood spurts from his nose at the impact, his arms temporarily going limp as his awareness is jarred into complete darkness for a few seconds. But he comes back, eyes open when the blows begin to rain. "Hah! You can't begin to comprehend what I have planned!"

He starts to meet Raditz' blows, fist slamming into fist as the two of them collide with enough strength to shatter that entire mountain they were standing on, the whole thing just sort of crumbling under them.

He finds fists slamming into his face, a few sinking into his gut. But he tries to return the favor right back, until he goes for a straight uppercut, then moves back just enough to try and thrust a kick deep into the other saiyan's ribs. "That's it! Show me what you're made of. You say you don't want power, you don't want strength. No, you're a saiyan, you want to conquer. But like Taylita you're now -ashamed- of what you are. But look at us, you feel it... you feel it to the very core of your soul. Here, on this battlefield, this is where you want to be. Leading an army, tasting your own blood, -conquering-!!!"
Mantigora Mantigora lets out a very growl-like sound of satisfaction as the two warriors get to the actual beating of shit out of each other for the title of ruler. Even as she's sitting her tail flicks back and forth, much like that of a lioness watching to males clash over the right to lead the pride. "Mmm, such force, such strength, such -passion- for the conflict...."
Raditz     Fact of the matter is that Raditz is weaker fighter in terms of actual technique, his training never having been particularly refined. As such, so long as he's actually able to over-power Vegeta through sheer ferocity, he won't ever have to worry about Vegeta's technical prowess and overall speed becoming a problem.

Fists slam against fitsts, and there are a few strikes where Raditz is certain his blows struck true, all it takes is a good counter-blow to make him lose his momentum, and that Uppercut slips in, beaning the taller Saiyain right in the jaw and presenting an opening for Vegeta to follow up with that kick.

    CRACK.

Well, there's a rib crackked, and Raditz finds himself spitting out blood. However, he's not going to give up from just one kick, and instead uses this opportunity to grab Vegeta by the leg and tries to spin him around to throw him into the increasingly crumbling planet's surface.

After that, Raditz begins to throw volley upon volley of energy balls, hailing them down Vegeta as best as he can.
Kyra Hyral     "Considering the stakes, I'd be more surprised if there wasn't posturing." Kyra observes between stuffing a handfull of popcorn into her mouth. "...you know, that was kind of rude, I probably should have asked your name first before asking what you were. Sorry 'bout that."

An ominous name such as 'blood brew' is not enough to scare Kyra off. She procures a cup and fills it from the keg, giving the liquid a sniff before taking a sip. "-whoah, they move FAST."
Mantigora Mantigora actually chuckles a little at that. "Not uncommon for people to be more concerned with -what- I am than -who- I am." She turns her head just enough to look at Kyra and smile, catching glints from the ship's lighting off both her horns and her sharp fang-like teeth. "Intimidation factor has its perks."

Sure enough, it's not hard to taste that the blood brew does indeed have blood in it. Gives it a bit of a tangy taste, while the flavor overall suggests the alcohol part of the drink comes from some mash of fermented fruit and/or berries.
Soan Sagittarius Soan was silent for most of it, eating his picked bits of popcorn silently, looking around to give Maya and Mantigora a brief nod, Mantigora in particular. Hm. Lizard-like, humanoid. Female, maybe? Yes, definetively female. The voice made it evident. Drinking something strong. Something bloody, it smells like. Yes. "They /are/ pretty fast." The Thief admits, crunching the popcorn. "That's some big impacts, there, and they're just warming up."
Vegeta Vegeta strains, trying to break the momentum of the spin, but it's -far- too much. When he's released he goes straight down into the ground, sending huge kinetic explosions rippling out for hundreds of yards. This is only made worse when the valley of volley of blasts send him deeper into the planet's surface.

It's pretty much a war zone down there at this point. There's barely a truly flat surface for at least a mile, and they're still using rather weak attacks. "You're going to have to do a little more than that..." He suddenly stands up in the middle of an incredibly rocky crater. Then he holds up his hand, fingers spread.

"That isn't all you have!" His yellow aura suddenly flares, huge rocks lifting as he holds his other hand up now. Then he just starts tossing balls of ki into the air at a rapid pace. But they all just sort of miss him... until they slow down in mid-air, then start to fall -down-. Whenever one hits anything, it instantly explodes into a massive amount of energy, meaning a good portion of them are going to entirely tear up the ground.

He uses this opportunity to quickly fly toward the current king, holding his arm out as suddenly a flat blade of pure ki rotates above his fingers like a buzzsaw. "If you love your humans so much, then here, take the height of their techniques!" he yells before tossing the Destructo Disk -incredibly- quickly.
Serori The planet's surface is crumbling wherever the battlefield spreads. Serori increases her distance from Vegeta and Raditz, and puts up her forearm to shield her eyes as the energy flashes get bigger and brighter -- almost blinding.

How long until one of them makes a mistake?
Kyra Hyral     Kyra rolls her head back from the screens just enough so she can make eye contact with Mantigora. She succeeds in not getting sucked into staring again this time though! "So who are you? I'm Kyra, though you already caught that on the Saiyan's channel."

Based on the look on Kyra's face, she already is familiar with the coppery taste of blood. "Huh. What kind of blood is in this?" She takes another sip, having noticed that this beverage is /alcoholic/. Technically on her world she isn't of legal drinking age yet.

Beyond the drink, Kyra seems incredibly fascinated at the amount of collateral damage this fight is causing on the planet. Though at this rate, someone's /bound/ to get knocked into a volcano. Maybe saiyans can survive that?
Raditz     As far as Raditz was able to recall, Krillin was never able to actually HIT someone with that particular move. Obviously, Vegeta is on en entirely different level than the bald human ever was, so Raditz wasn't going to let that damn thing hit him.

The fact that the Kienzan was moving so fast didn't help matters, and Raditz shunts all his Ki into his speed, shunting himself into a spin and spins himself paralel to the disk as it flies by him. Which is to say, he watches it skim by him just inches from his face. Waaay too close.

The king spins back into position and grins, "You know what? That's a good idea!" He brings his up and splays his fingers over his face, palms inwards, and yells out, "SOLAR FLARE!!!" And with that, he Flashbang's the battlefield with one of Tenshinhan's signiture moves.

He uses that opportunite to once again to drop back down, rocketing to Vegeta and aims to smash his knee into the back of Vegeta's head, with intent to follow up elbow bashes to the back of Vegeta's head, repeatedly.
Serori Speaking of 'blinding'...

Even at this distance, it's hard to see into the explosive light Raditz creates. Serori scoffs out a light curse and ducks her head, while another stormy wind blows her hair and cape backward.
Vegeta "Damnit, not this again!" Vegeta tries to cover his eyes, but it's far too late. The pain of his optic nerves is too great to really concentrate on -sensing-, so it's a bit late when he's getting his head slammed until he hits the ground, and is -still- sinking deeper.

He seems as if he could very well be on the verge of losing...

But then he yells, at the top of his lungs, "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" The blood mixed into his black hair and all over his face is yelling of the amount of damage just done to his head. So he straight up flares his energy out of desperation, destroying the ground under him and trying to push Raditz back at the same time.

He vanishes from where he is, appearing a good fifty feet away. His hand is on his head, still trying to clear up his vision, and he's breathing heavily. "It's been so long since I've truly been pushed. I've been on the top of the food chain amongst our kind for so long, I can truly see weaknesses within myself where previously no other could begin to enlighten me to."

He wipes blood from his mouth, beginning to float into the air. "Perhaps if Kakarot had lived I'd be even more powerful. Perhaps such a rivalry could have truly pushed me to greatness. But that is what the saiyan empire will do, for all of us, even someone like you."

He holds his hands out again, staring down at Raditz with an almost eerie calm. "We will push each other, every single one of us, and we will be the most powerful species that ever existed! With Frieza gone, you are my greatest fear realized. A lowly saiyan who could rise to my level, who could outclass me, just like Kakarot. It happened twice..."

He goes quiet, then stares up at the sky, closing his eyes, then he just starts to laugh. "Yes... this is perfect. This is my kingdom."

There's barely a warning, and then he's falling like a bullet, covered in yellow. He tries to wrap his arms around Raditz and impact with him with every bit of strength he can manage. "Let's see if you are truly dedicated to this battle as much as I am! Let's see if you can survive the heat of this planet's core!"

He is, indeed, trying to push Raditz and indeed -himself- down to the core of the planet.
Mantigora "Mantigora." Then turns her attention back to mainly watching the screens and gulping her drink. "I'm a bounty hunter." She doesn't mention sides, but that's mainly because this isn't a factional matter in the first place. "A lot," she replies to the question about what kind of blood. "Many beasts contributed to the taste."
Soan Sagittarius Soan whistles appreciatively at the collateral damage. This is rather impressive, some really... high power magic, of sorts. It's not quite the same thing, just... raw power. "So, just a coctail of... blood from all sort of beasts blood you shoved in there?" He asks.
Mantigora Ooh, threatening with the heat of the planet's core... and going along for the ride himself! Vegeta was not holding back. Mantigora idly refills her mug from the battered keg. "And fermented juices." Where else would the alcohol part come from, after all? "Mostly pummelgranet, a bit of glowmelon."
Raditz     That flare up shunted Raditz back and out of melee range, and it takes a moment for him to locate Vegeta once more, but by this point Vegeta's got something else to say, so he lets the guy say his piece. Raditz is ready to keep the barrage going, though he blinks, "And you've once again cracked, why're you laugh--"

But then suddenly King Raditz is grabbed and and yanked right down into the ground, getting dragged under the crust and towards the core. The heat is intense, and Raditz can feel it burning even through his ki-augmented defenses. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND?!" Raditz was now cursing his failure to maintain his assault, and was now just trying to shove himself out fo Vegeta's grip.

Vegeta's still strong, though, and though he's physically BIGGER than Vegeta, that lock has got him immobilized pretty good. In a last ditch effort, Raditz sucks in a breath, focusing his ki into his mouth, and unleashes a Ki Breath Blast right from his mouth, shoving it into Vegeta's face. It's not gonna be lethal, but he's hoping it'll distract Vegeta enough to weaken his grip and release him.

Because of all the things he thought about getting killed by, getting crushed and melted in a planet's core was not one of them.
Kyra Hyral     Kyra's eyes widen, "It's like they /read my mind/! So let's see if saiyans can survive magma." Excited, she leans forward to watch the screen. Absently, she gestures with her free hand, "Hey, Soan, try the blood brew, it tastes pretty good."
Serori After Vegeta and Raditz plunge together into the earth, Serori doesn't think much about it. Using your enemy's body as a means of making craters is a standby of saiyan combat. What troubles her is whenever neither Vegeta nor Raditz immediately emerge from the plume of smoke, dust, and debris -- and the fact that both warriors seem to be sinking /down/, rather than rising /up/.

/Understanding/ strikes Serori like a bucket of ice water. Startled, she lunges toward the conflict, calling out to Vegeta and Raditz both: "Vegeta! Raditz!"

Look, if one of 'em dies today, fine, but for /both/ to go up in flames? That runs contrary to the plan. Alarm squeezes her chest, and she calls out again: "VEGETA!"
Vegeta Vegeta gets launched up the massive hole the two of them just dug into the ground, his head once again rattled. His armor is cracked and battered at this point. The elastic material of his jumpsuit incredibly tattered and torn. He stares down at Raditz with a face covered in cuts and bruises.

"You want to play on my level, you want to be royalty, you want to know what it truly -means- to someone like me, someone raised the way I was, with the father that I had!" he shouts, more than enough for the others to hear back on the ship, which is listening to the entire planet and transmitted to the surrounding radios.

It's hot down here, boiling hot, and it only gets worse when Vegeta doesn't fly back out, but instead begins to crackle with purple energy. "I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ROYALTY, WHAT IT MEANS TO GO AS FAR AS POSSIBLE TO REGAIN MY CROWN!!! GALICK GUN!!!" he shouts, and thrusts his hands forward, sending a massive purple beam down through the hole, toward Raditz.

This causes volcanos all over the planet to simultaneously erupt, which will probably only get worse depending on how Raditz himself responds. But right now, the surface of the planet is beginning to look a hell of a lot like it's transforming into Venus.
Maya Maya says "Yes, they can."

Maya notes looking at Kyra and pauses.

"Vegeta surived a planet exploding if I recall right."

She grins a little bit and looks to see just how this is going to play out. Then she hears him saying and there's actually a brief look of fear she knows /what/ that can do and the planet can't take much more.
Serori All around, volcanoes are erupting. Serori flies closer to where Vegeta and Raditz remain locked in combat, what should have been a beeline made into a weaving obstacle course by the many magma plumes and jets she has to dodge. Finally, she stops in a clear area, and there she catches her breath while her intensified glare tries to make out any sign of Vegeta...and of Raditz.
Raditz     Being the relatively slower Saiyan in this battle, plus still feeling the hurt coming from the underground very much crazy antics, Raditz barely has the awareness to throw his arms out and pushes forth the energy to try to CATCH the beam. Granted, catching the beam invoves getting himself piledriving through the planet's crust and being shot out of the planet many miles away.

Once he pops out of the crust, Raditz grits his teeth and shoves himself out of the path of the beam, and drops like a fly to the ground, cratering as he tries to catch his breath. "Ow..." He utters, as he pushes himself slowly back up to his feet.

This would be precisely the opening Vegeta needs to go on a full on counter-offensive.
Soan Sagittarius "It's still weird to imagine that this place is like a gigantic jawbreaker candy." Soan muses, munching on his popcorn further, as he looks up. Mmm, that actually sounds good. He produces a small little flask, poping it open. "Certainly, I'll take some of it if you offer."
Mantigora Mantigora nods her head towards the keg. "Help yourself. Good drink in stomach just makes watching all the better." And makes her less wanting to stab someone she shouldn't right now, but that's just a fringe benefit. This isn't a factionally split gathering, anyways. "The way they going at it, I somehow doubt the planet blowing up would even stop them."
Vegeta Vegeta follows after the path he created with his beam, but he doesn't stop to fight Raditz, he continues flying -up-. He flies higher and higher, then holds his hands out to his side, charging an absolutely -palpable- level of energy as his golden aura wildly surrounds him.

"I won't allow you to dodge! If you want to get out of the way of this, you'll have to truly show me your power! If you hold back, you -will- die." he warns, and he sounds -sincere- when he does so.

He charges far longer than even when he's going to fire a Big Bang. A monstrous level of energy that might be the reason he told Serori to stay away. "Being a sneaky coward won't save you from this, you will only survive by being a -saiyan-!"

"FINAL FLASH!!!"

His voice echos, and he brings both hands together, releasing a -gigantic- beam of energy. One that you simply don't release -toward- a planet if you actually care about it being destroyed or not.

This is -all- of his energy.
Serori As huge pylons of stone crack away from the surface of the planet to go thrusting into the air, once again forcing Serori into a defensive routine, she snaps out in a moment's frustration, her emotions boiling over for one snarling instant: "SOME WARNING WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE!"

Focus replaces her sparking temper. Serori freezes mid-air, braces her body, and lets her power surge to the fore in a brilliant transformation from dark-haired warrior to golden Super Saiyan. Even the bristling length of her tail is made gold as she alters her status from the superhuman to the super-superhuman. This extra speed and strength enables her to quite calmly stay right where she is, as any passing stone is crumbled into harmless pebbles on making contact with her blazing aura.

Serori stares at the Final Flash stretching for Raditz, and her jaw clenches.
Raditz     There was no tanking the Final Flash, Raditz knew THAT much. He goes wide eyed as he sees Raditz go for the power-up, and kips himself back to his feet, and begins to charge up his energy once more, desperatately puting his power into his hands, spreading his arms out and circling about, the energy glowing bright purple rather than the usual blue that is trademark of the Kamehameha. Lightning crackling around his arms as he focuses on putting as much distructive power as he can muster, as much of his own life force as he can put into it. "Never put this one into use.... Before....."

He roars as the massive sphere of energy gathers in the circling hands. "GIIIIIIIGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...!!!!!!"

He roars as he brings the energy into a compress it into a ball in front of him.... Before shunting the energy forward and letting it decompress, "MEETEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOR BUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.....!!!!"

It's kind of like Final Flash, but the energy is a bright purple, and aiming right at Vegeta's own Final Flash.

The Colission will surely be destructive.
Vegeta "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Vegeta pushes harder, both beams colliding in such a way that it's an almost physically unnatural amount of energy to remain in existence for this long, let alone in a power struggle.

The core of the planet becomes ridiculously unstable at this point, a few of the volcanos shooting lava right through the atmosphere and into space, one such line narrowly missing the ship. thankfully there are a few non-saiyan grunts who know how to pilot.

The planet's crust begins to crack under Raditz's feet, while lightning crashes into Vegeta multiple times, as if the planet itself was rejecting their very presence.

Something has to give, and it's not going to be the saiyans. Instead, it's -physics-. However the physics of this kind of energy works, it just... seems to collapse.

The attacks begin to mold and -fuse-, creating something that looks incredibly similar to a crackling Death Ball, completely black with arcing purple electricity. Then as more energy is pumped in, their last remaining bit of energy it seems to suck all of the light into it, everything going entirely black, even immediately outside of the ship...

Then...

BOOM

Everything just explodes. Yellow, purple, blue, red. It's as if the entire world shifts through every color spectrum, sending everything and everyone flying.

It takes a while for the dust to settle, but when it does, large chunks of the planet are beginning to float away from each other. There's still at least some atmosphere left to breathe, but in that after math, Vegeta is crouched on a single floating island across from Raditz. He's on one knee, his hair now black, energy completely spent, but not yet unconscious.
Serori Perhaps it would have been wise to ride out the fight aboard the ship?

The chaos following Vegeta's and Raditz's conjoined assault defies description. Even in the midst of the storm, Serori can't see what's happened, or how it's happened -- or /why/. The planet below her feet all at once ceases to exist as a unified sphere. Its crust cracks, its core splits, and light and power rush outward in an eradicating blast she's lucky to withstand. Shouting to muster her own power reserves -- and to release them in a force about as reckless as the planet's erupting core -- she forms her aura into a protective bubble, and fights to maintain it through the first several waves of destructive aftermath.

Though not injured, she finds the experience taxing in other ways. Serori feels sunburned from the inside out by the time silence descends.

In a golden streak, she shoots toward Vegeta's location.

All her senses also search for any sign of Raditz.
Raditz     That's a looooot of energy put out from both parties, and it's not that huge a surprise that the planet itself basically fell apart as a result of all of it. Raditz is on an floating island of his own, though given their positions at the time of the planet shatting, it's several floating islands AWAY from Vegeta.

Like his foe, Raditz's energy is so drained that his hair has gone back to black, but just as Vegeta, Raditz is spent but not out. The Saiyan grits his teeth as he pushes himself slowly back to his feet, and hobbles a bit, his vision quite hazey, before her growls and focuses on where Vegeta should be.

"I am... NOT... DONE with you!" Raditz roars, as he runes and leaps from his island, and begins hopping from Rock to rock, to get himself over to Vegeta so he can continue the fight.
Serori Serori would, of course, fall short of intervening. She stops before landing on Vegeta's 'island'.
Vegeta Vegeta suddenly starts running and jumping from rock to rock as well, half his armor gone at this point, only held up by one strap. Large portions of his jumpsuit missing.

When they finally meet on another floating rock, he sends a single taxed punch toward Raditz' face, intending to trade blows to see who's finally going to go down. "Good! You truly are a saiyan, you've proven that much today!"
Raditz     Raditz finds himself soaking that punch right into his jaw, causing him to reel for a bit, his faculties going fuzzy, before he roars and swings a wild, exausted haymaker in return at Vegeta. "That... Was NEVER... In QUESTION, Jackass!"
Vegeta Vegeta goes stumbling in a circle, almost losing his footing before he catches himself, then spits out a wad of blood. "You could have fooled me, given your assimilation into humankind!" He manages to stumble forward, then uses what seems like far too much effort to raise an uppercut for Raditz' chin.
Raditz     That Uppercut sends Raditz reeling back once more, his head flying backward and almost falling over, but managing to keep his footing stablized, just barely. There's a moment of just being slumped back while standing, before he uses that as a wind up as he lurches forward and swings his forehead down to smash his head into Vegeta's.

"I had no DIRECTION! I had no PURPOSE! Nothing to fight for! NOTHING TO DIE FOR!" Raditz rambles out amidst all that, and tries to get his focus back, "At least NOW I've got friends! Now I've got family! I've got SOMETHING to fight for, and die for, and REDEEM MYSELF FOR!"
Serori Serori looks down at Raditz. Her expression is an inscrutable glare, as cold and rigid as the planet's remains floating all around in the void. What's left of the dwindling atmosphere still stirs her golden hair into a wild frame for her icy countenance.

She says nothing.
Vegeta When Raditz slams into Vegeta's forehead, he suddenly reaches out to try and grab Raditz' armor and hold their foreheads together. "Stop -searching-. Do you really want me to be the only one with any power in the Saiyan Empire? Do you want me to be the only one shapes our entire culture? If human morality and redemption mean so much to you, then you should use that power to try and shape our people the way you want! If you're that confident in the weak crap you believe, then -join- us!"

He suddenly raises his own head back, then tries to slam his own into Raditz as hard as he can possibly manage. "Not the Confederacy, but the Saiyan Empire!"
Raditz     Another face smashing headbutt right into Raditz's own face, and he hobbles and staggers, growling as he dazedly winds up for another haymaker, when something in his body just collapses. Hit balance is suddenly gone, his strength vanished, and he finds himself crashed onto his back.

And with that, Raditz mutters in his bleariness, "Well... I had a great run..."
Vegeta "You're not over." Vegeta states as he reaches down to lift Raditz up over his shoulder, barely having any strength in his own body as it is. The huge saiyan is a bit of a challenge to lug around. "I don't think anyone quite understands, but every saiyan, regardless of their affiliation, -regardless- of how much I hate them or how much they disgust me, will have a chance to shape the Saiyan Empire if they have the power to do so. You have proven that you have the power to do that. There is no one short of myself who could stop you."

At this point, his ship begins to descend, apparently planning to pick them up from the rock. "I haven't completely finished constructing the government, but once we have a planet, things will work out far better than you can imagine." He's speaking to Raditz, but also anyone else who can hear him, currently transmitting. "I am the Prince of ALL Saiyans, and that means I have to find a way to represent even the ones I hate if they prove to embody the power of a saiyan and truly wield it to take what they want."
Raditz     Raditz is just sort of lugged around, half conscious, half paying attention to what's being said, but he thinks he's makingg it out, maybe. He just sort of blinks at Vegeta and says, "That's the most humble thing I've ever heard you say..." He pauses, before asking, "Who are you, and what have you done with Vegeta?"
Serori Serori has been quiet for awhile, and she maintains the trend in her short flight to join Vegeta. Dropping from Super Saiyan, she's able to soften her temper's edge enough to offer both Raditz and Vegeta additional help, though it's the former she's giving her direct attention to, at least at first: "Raditz. I can take you home to your wife now, if that is what you want."

She looks over at Vegeta long enough to make brief eye contact, and then up at his ship.
Vegeta "I am not some defender of justice, and I am also not one to suffer the weak and feeble. But I am a prince, I have people to rule. I can't simply act for myself." Vegeta immediately dumps Raditz in Serori's direction, as if he's a bit too weak to continue carrying him. "It came to me suddenly, not long ago. I realized that if saiyans who believe different things have a say in the Saiyan Empire, after proving their power, then it will force our race to perpetually try to get stronger, so that -they- can try to change our society. There will be no incentive for complacency and weakness."
Raditz     Raditz just gets dropped down almost on his face, and he just goes, "Ow..." He tries to listen, but after while he mumbles, "That's... Oddly sensible... But I think I'm going to pass out now.." He looks up to Serori and says, "If Merra asks, I fell down some stairs..." And with that he loses conciousness entirely.
Serori Serori lets out a soft sigh and hefts Raditz into her arms. It's not the weight that's awkward, but the sheer /size/ of him -- he's always towered over her. A little more rearranging, and she manages to the get the requisite two fingertips pressed to her forehead. The process of searching out Merra's ki signature is a tough one, so she's concentrating on the task long enough to address Vegeta one more time.

"I'll want to speak with you later, King Vegeta." Serori glances down at Raditz, and pulls a scowl. "You have made this much more complicated than it was supposed to be."

The two vanish in a sudden blur and a sound like a distant chime.
