Kirikou     Kirikou's not entirely sure why he got that funny look when he agreed to take the final paperwork to Alexander Academy today. It was ready, after all. No reason to put it off until next week, was there? That'd be just plain silly. He had a free day today, and no reason whatsoever to put things off.

This was BEFORE he got out into the Multiverse at large. Valentines Day is no big deal in Shibusen. It's been adopted by the students somewhat, eager as always to embrace festive multiversal occasions. But it's not been absorbed into the collective consciousness yet, not really. The faculty figured he'd have had plans. He's of the right age after all, pleasant, popular. And, sadly, almost completely oblivious to girls as girls. At least he's oblivious to girls when it comes to romance.

That's not to say he's currently oblivious to the occasion today. And it's occurred to him that, given teasing by Toph and Echo over the past little while, some people might misunderstand should he be seen hovering around this place, this day. Hell even Kyra might, if she were to see him, wonder what brings him here this day of all days; wonder if he might be looking for an excuse to hit on her.

Let's get this straight. Kirikou and the twins are NOT sneaking. They're not being stealthy at all. But Kilik IS peering around corners, looking for a clear passageway before proceeding on out of the administrative offices. For... no particular reason. It's a game. That's what he told the twins, and that's the story he'll stick to.
Kyra Hyral     Man did Kyra not want to have anything to do with school beauracracy on the weekend. Unfortunately, she did have something to take care of-though fortunately it was more for the benefit of the white mage. Townsend just wanted to know where Kyra wanted to apply the special credits she got for giving Adelyn's minion a tour alongside Artyom. Happy to be dealing with something positive for once in the administration building, Kyra happily told him where he could stick the credits.

Between that and a few other things...today was actually looking pretty good! This was in stark contrast to the previous day where she got blown up repeatedly, more or less failed to stop Nox from destroying a giant magic tree, and learned that because she signed up for the charity thing that she was due for the WORST DATE EVER.

JUST as Kilik steps out of one of the administrative offices, Kyra follows from a completely different door. Unlike Kilik, she brusts out, loudly, and doesn't seem to really care who notices her. Though speaking of noticing, she does notice /him/, though she doesn't call out to him right away. Instead, she sneaks after him, curious about this strange behavior. Was he up to something!?
Kirikou     Kirikou hears Kyra burst out, but he doesn't know who it is, not at first. He turns to look. His first instinct is to grin, glad to see her. The grin lasts only a moment though before it freezes. He did NOT want to run into her like this! Explanations are going to be super super awkward!

As a result by the time he turns to see her, Kilik's grin has frozen on his face. The rictus grin is a mixture of fear and guilt. At what, one can only guess. The twins however don't freeze. Playing the game for all they're worth, they take off running, round a corner, then two sets of wide eyes peer out to see if they've been spotted.

Kilik's eyes follow the twins, though at first the rest of his body's frozen by the surprise of getting caught out like this. Only when they move out of his initial sight does he actually turn his body to keep them in view. Once they round the corner, he sighs and shrugs. Super awkward. "Uhhh. Hi." he says sheepishly, turning back to Kyra. "What's up? Other than my pulse?" he asks.
Kyra Hyral     Oh no, Kyra has been spotted! So much for sneaking up on him-though she does manage to get in really close before he turns around so it's pretty awkward to see him suddenly put on that creepy-ass grin when he sees her. "...uh...Kilik?" she asks, taking a step backwards. After a few moments, she leans in to wave her hand in front of his face.

Then he unfreezes and asks her what's up. The pulse comment gets a raised eyebrow-guess he was startled? "Me? I was just dealing with some extra credit stuff." she jerks a thumb over her shoulder at the office she just left. "What about you? What are /you/ doing here?" she puts her hands on her hips. "Not some strange 'fed stuff, I hope. We're all neutral here on Chocobo."

In case that...hadn't already been clear! Though to Kyra's knowledge, none of Galianda's natives were members of the Confederacy. Souji and Helena did some pretty shady stuff with helping Lute out but nothing to prove definitively that they were Confederate-allied.
Kirikou     Kirikou blinks as Kyra's hands go to her hips. No stranger to disapproval, feminine or otherwise, he's nonetheless a bit startled by what sounds like displeasure. "N-no! Nothing like that!" he says, raising his hands defensively and waving them. She's Union-allied after all. "If the Confederacy has any interests here, I don't know about 'em!" he says, not entirely reassuringly. It's honest though, at least. "I'm... well, you could call it on Shibusen business?" he says, somewhat reluctantly. It sounds good, more or less. Better than saying he's here on personal business. And it's not like Death Academy is the enemy of Alexander or anything like that. Rivals, maybe, but not hostile.

The twins, in the background, continue to 'hide'. They haven't been acknowledged, so it must mean they're still winning the game. And smirking at Kirikou, who got caught.
Kyra Hyral     Fortunately, Kyra relaxes a little at this explanation denying Confederacy shenanigans. She actually believes him on that because Kou doesn't register as the deceitful, malicious kind of guy to her. Though this is based off of a handfull of meetings so Kyra might actually be off the mark! ....but such a thought doesn't occur to her.

"Shibusen business? Ah, hm, alright then. Well is your business done? Because I'm making like a tree and getting the hell out of here." Letting her arms relax, she moves past the puglist.
Kirikou     Kilik's honest at least. To a fault. If he were sent on a mission to spy, he'd admit it. If he were sent to fight or even to kill, he'd admit that too. He might not choose to follow through on that mission, depending what it was, but he'd certainly not lie about it.

He relaxes somewhat when Kyra doesn't press further. All right, so he did end up running into her. It's not bad, he tells himself. Besides, she's cool and... well, he IS going to be her schoolmate soon enough. There's no reason whatsoever to avoid her. Beckoning to Fire and Thunder, Kilik turns to follow Kyra. "Yeah, all done." he agrees. "Like the pigeon said to the other pigeon, let's get the flock out of here." he grins. No, not a bad thing at all!

Though Kirikou IS kind of curious about one thing. "Wait. You mean, you don't have plans?" he asks, suddenly confused. The thought occurred to him, and it's suitably baffling that he can't help but blurt it out. "Today? I figured you'd be with someone." he claims, a little awkwardly.
Kyra Hyral     It'll definitely be a surprise for her when she does find out that Kilik has decided to come enroll and be a transfer student! How exciting, they might even have classes together!

As she walks past him, Kilik will notice that she has a new backpack on her. It is conspicuously moogle-shaped and looks like a stuffed animal clinging to her back. "Hahaha, you and your /puns/. Glad you enjoyed the one I sent you earlier." Though she doesn't make any comment on the later half of the following conversation-not out of awkwardness but by some stroke of fortune she hadn't been listening when people started teasing Kilik about the whoel thing.

"Oh, there were plans. They've already happened." Kyra explains with a sudden awareness of the awkwardness, which in turn results in awkwardness from Kyra herself. "...why? Should the plans...still be happening? Is that how it's supposed to work? This is my first Valentine's Day."
Kirikou     "Not like I got... any Valentines experience or anything." Kirikou says, a bit awkwardly. This may, of course, be admitting more than he'd be comfortable admitting, for he quickly clarifies. "It's kinda new to my world too." he adds. And it's not like he's got anyone he'd spend the day with. Well, that's not entirely true. There's a couple of people he wouldn't mind spending the day with, but he just couldn't see himself working up to asking them to hang out with him as boy and girl, on a day designed around romance. Being with them as friends, sure. That's perfectly cool. But romance is a bit of a mystery to the too-cool Shibusen puncher.

This is entirely too awkward. So, it seems, Kilik decides to try something that just miiiight get a different reaction. "I just figured you'd have plans. And wouldn't go out on dates with, say, Lute." he says not-quite-offhandedly. And yes, if Kyra looks for it, he's smirking. A little. He knows all about it, finds it terribly amusing, and suspects it horrifies poor Kyra.
Kyra Hyral     "It doesn't seem too hard. Give stuff to people you like, spend time with people you like. I mean, for a guy like you, should be easy, right? Girls would looooove some attention from a guy like you." Kyra smirks openly at this, clearly not the kind of person to be modest about this kind of stuff. That this conversation is probably going to make him squirm a little just makes it even more tempting to Kyra. She had to wonder though...she did kind of have a thing for Kilik. Did he have one too, as he was being teased about earlier?

But then Kilik brings up her impending date with Lute.

Kyra makes the Excalibur face briefly.

"If I had known that Lute was a possibility I would have never signed up for that charity thing! Fuck charity! It's a lousy virtue!" Thoroughly put out by this prospect, she continues leaving the Administration Building, though now decidedly more stompy.
Kirikou     Kirikou follows along, thoughtful at first with Kyra's words. It's maybe true, but he doesn't exactly agree. It's just... not that simple. Not that he can explain it. He's not the type to just profess his love or anything like that. Not like Oxford. Not that he's entirely repressed either, like some other people he knows. He just doesn't like being a complete ass.

He grins slightly at Kyra's reaction to Lute, though he winces as well. Making an effort to be casual, he keeps up with Kyra's more stompy attitude. "Aw, don't worry about that too much." he grins. If he's teasing, he's doing so lightly. "Lute's not that bad a guy. He's a jerk, and he's got no concept of monogamy or faithfulness, but ..." he sighs. "He'll treat you good. He likes girls, that's all. And he's very honest about it. He's a total asshole and he's sometimes vicious, but that doesn't make him bad in everything, you know?"

Though, saying that, Kilik considers a moment. Maybe that's a good way to explain. "But yeah... I don't want to be that kind of guy. I mean, being an asshole to girls by showing that kind of interest when they're not interested." he says. It IS awkward, talking about this sort of thing... but Kyra brought it up first!
Kyra Hyral     "Last time I saw Lute in person he was attacking me with that dragon thing of his. It's not his /womanizing/ that bothers me, it's that he's dangerous and not in the fun way." Fun way? Who knows what THAT means to Kyra. Maybe it involves stealing cars. "Well, okay, and he's also a little creepy. He sent me a /maid outfit/ for Valentine's day! A maid outfit! Creepy AND kind of insulting. Don't tell anyone else about that outfit, by the way, you're the only one I've told." The last part is said with a fast-talking follow up. "I just...ugh, just wish it had been someone else."

There's a markedly sulky look on her face but it doesn't last very long. "Good on you, Kilik. Don't be that guy. Getting overbearing attention from someone you don't like is just...painful. And kind of sad in the long run." She pauses, thinking back to the whole Valentine's Day thing. "But at the same time...well, you at least gotta try, right? You don't know if they're interested or not until they ask. And, heck, some girls have been taught to wait until they get that interest because the guy won't be into you otherwise. If anything...I guess Lute does do some asking."

She looks huffy, "Though I told him no the first time." A long stretch of awkward silence follows. "...uh. Maybe...we should talk about something else."
Kirikou     "Well yeah." Kilik admits. "He's crazy, unpredictable, and dangerous." he nods. The boy wonders though. If Lute's dangerous, what does that make him? As a Fed, he's pretty dangerous too. He just doesn't have the same will to conquer that Lute has. Kilik might kill anyone that defends a Kishin Egg, but he's a whole lot less bloodthirsty when murderous soul-eaters aren't involved.

He does grin though. "Okay yeah, that does sound creepy." he says, picturing Kyra in a maid outfit. With a little moogle pom on it of course. Kyra might pick up on Kilik checking her out, but he doesn't really stare. Just... consider. "But I don't know about insulting. There's a little cafe in Death City, hires students as temp waiters and waitresses. Doesn't make 'em any less dangerous or important, but it does draw admirers." he grins. "Don't worry, I won't mention it!" he adds hastily. Not wanting to be that guy, definitely.

He goes along with the pause, not sure what to say until Kyra asks for a change of topic. Reaching around in his thoughts, he finds one or two. "You know, you did offer me Hyral 101 sometime." he says. "But before that, maybe I should tell you about my buddy Ox. Speaking of overbearing attention." he says, grinning one of those grins that hints at scandalous behavior.
Kyra Hyral     Kilik might not be scoring the same danger level Lute here, that's for sure. Whatever the white mage's criteria are is not immediately clear. "Well, maid cafe or not, the message I get when I receive a gift like that is 'hey girl I want you to /serve/ me in this sexy outfit'. Shit man, you have to know me for a lot longer than one fight before I start doing that kind of stuff." Another pause and Kyra reddens, "Not that I...would."

OH RIGHT SUBJECT CHANGE WE ARE SUBJECT CHANGING RIGHT THE HELL NOW. "Oh yeaaaah, Hyral 101. Just the basic rundown on my ridiculous family...haha. Who's this Ox fellow, then?"
Kirikou     Kilik makes a note of Kyra saying stuff about serving... but he honestly has no idea what to say in return. And while he's not entirely sure what she's talking about, he's guessing by her reaction that it just might be a little naughty or fetishy. Then, considering Lute used a maid outfit as a gift... it's more than 'just might'.

Moving on. "Ox is Spartoi, like me." he says. "The ..." he shrugs. Modesty isn't that big of a deal, not when it's the truth. "The six teams of us are the top tactical students. Ox is the smartest guy at the school. And for a couple years now, he's been completely in love with this girl Kim, who ... well, she didn't want anything to do with him. Or with anyone really, not unless they could help her get rich." Kilik says, grinning fondly. Oh yes, Kim might SOUND like a bitch, but she's a good person and a good friend. Not her fault if she was self-conscious about her own nature. That's all in the past now, more or less.

"He wasn't a jerk about it or anything. Never demanded anything of her, or even begged anything of her." Kilik continues. "But he said he loved her. Always. And he refused to give up no matter how many times she turned him down."
Kyra Hyral     "Hold up, Spartoi?" Kyra interrupts, pointing out the term she is not familiar with. He adds something that makes her think she has the explanation, "Is that the name of on of the teams at your school? Just to get things straight, you know?" She didn't want assumptions creating a crazy faux pas for her in the future.

"Gosh, sounds like a wonderful individual worth dating." She states with the utmost of sarcasm, not rally knowing any further than Kilik's words to really go on with this subject, "Did he ever realize that he was barking up the wrong tree, so to speak? Then again, two annoying people, maybe it's best that they get paired up with, you know, each other. Leave the rest of us sane people alone."
Kirikou     "Witch-hunters." Kirikou explains. There are other possible terms for them, but the group was convened initially to hunt down Arachne, and later were purposed to track down signs of Asura. The best of the best; the witch hunters. "It's our elite unit."

He's not quite so happy to explain the rest of the situation, given Kyra's reaction. Normally an easygoing guy, his temper flares when Kyra is so dismissive of two of his best friends. She's ignorant of course. He's probably not telling the story very well. It's not her fault... but Kilik's still upset. "They're both friends of mine." he states flatly, his eyes narrowing behind his glasses. "And there's no one I'd want more with a weapon at my back than either of them." he says. Then he sighs. "Uh... sorry. I didn't mean that. It's just... well, it's not that he had a crush on her, you know? Or that she's some kind of unemotional monster. They're good people. I bet you'd like both of them if you met." he says, trying to explain. "I'm just saying, he never gave up. He was true to her in ways someone like Lute could never understand. And in the end... that's what saved her soul."
Kyra Hyral     Ignorance is bliss! Or in this case, ignorance is the best opportunity to get to ask questions about a person that would be too embarassing the to bring up openly. Had she known that he was talking about his two best friends she might have been a bit more tactful in her questions. When he reveals that she looks a little sheepish.

"...oh. You...you shouldn't talk about your friends like that, sheesh!" If that's what he said about his friends, then how did he talk about /her/ to other people?! Now she seems more than a little defensive as they walk along. "I'm..glad it worked out for them, I guess. I..." she trails off, deciding to not mention how she couldn't put up with that much rejection before giving up. "I'm happy for them. Happy for them both."

The awkward silence returns, but for different reason this time. She didn't want to trash Kilik's close friends!
Kirikou     Kilik takes pity on Kyra, fortunately. His annoyance fades, and he smiles. "I was trying to be ironic." he says sheepishly. "Besides, being friends means you're friends even when someone's annoying. When they got some trait you don't like or even one you don't understand." he claims. "I don't know if they're ... you know, officially a couple or anything like that. But I can't see anyone coming between 'em now. Not ever. Know what I mean?" he grins. And if he had a little bit to do with that at one point... well, he doesn't generally mention it.

"Anyways... it's okay." he says. "So. Hyral 101?" he prompts, grinning slightly.
Kyra Hyral     "I guess it's all about perspective or something." Kyra mumbles, decidedly low on the wisdom in this department. She was a big proponent on --> tell girl how you feel abobu them instead of latting them walks over you. "Or...well...I don't know. I really don't. Except that I'm pretty sure I'm not going on a second Lute date after all of this is settled. Not whhen there are so many other people I'd rather take with me. ...sorry. I didn't mean to trash your best friends. Really." Her shoulders slump just for a second.

At the same time, the opportunity to talk about something else entirely is seized up. "Oh, yeah, just the Hyrals. I mean...the rest of my family isn't like me. They're all stuffy boring, traditionalist jerks who are not /awesome/. If you met any of them you'd be surprised we were related.
Kirikou     Kirikou may be bad at dealing with girls, bad at romance in general... but that doesn't make him a horrible or clueless person. He shrugs, then without warning smacks his fist into Kyra's shoulder. It's something he learned from Toph. Fortunately for the white mage, he doesn't have any intention of hitting as hard as the earthbender does. This punch is a simple gesture, one that won't leave bruises. Maybe it's telling her to toughen up, maybe that he already thinks she's tough enough to take it. Or maybe he's 'punishing' her lightly for her verbal attack on his friends. Either way, when she turns to see what he's doing, he's grinning. "You can hit me back any time you want." he promises, smirking.

He listens then, and tries not to judge or hold the earlier misstep against Kyra. Not hard to do... he's pretty easygoing after all. "Hmmmm. Maybe." he replies. Maybe he'd be surprised, maybe not. "Well, you're kinda awesome. And not at all stuffy." he claims. Actually, he's not terribly surprised. Maybe she's interesting BECAUSE her family's so traditionalist. Going out of her way to be not like them. He isn't sure though, and doesn't know if speaking the guess aloud might offend. "You probably know Dirtbender right? Toph?" he asks instead. "Her father - her real father - he's got a stick so far up his ass I'm amazed he can walk. Her adopted father's a pretty cool guy though. Good taste in music."
Kyra Hyral     Not expecting the gesture, Kyra jolts suddenly in surprise when it happens. She turns to look at him with a sort of deer in the headlights lind of look for a few seconds. It isn't that it hurt, persay, that it was just so unexpected she doesn't really know how to take that. One of the hands reaches up to poke the area he hit. "Uhh..." 'You can hit me back any time you want.' She grins fiercely at that, "Well I might take you up on that offer, even if you aren't going to be real impressed with the result."

    PUNY MAGE PUNCHES!

"I've got seven other brothers and sisters." she admits, "And most of them have gone through schooling here. So when you say Hyral on campus here, there's a bit of a reputation...unless you're talking about me. Then you get an entirely DIFFERENT reputation!" The fierce grin intensifies as she's clearly proud of whatever that reputation might be. It's easy to assume that it's /very/ different from the rest of her family. "Oh, yeah, Toph, I've met her, talked with her a little bit...hmm. Didn't know that though. I guess that explains why she went and got herself adopted by Tony Stark. She was going to have an arranged marriage too, I guess? That's the impression I got when the subject came up around her once. ...it's....kind of the same for my family."

She makes a face, "Arranged marriages that is."
Kirikou     Kilik wasn't privy to all the details about Toph's father. He just knows Toph made him PROMISE not to hit her dad... like Tony Stark did. "I think there was more going on than an arranged marriage." he says warily. This was a Union thing. He would have helped, but he didn't know. He just knew Toph wasn't herself for a while, and that she'd been near death. "It sounds weird, but I half think her father was poisoning her so she'd stay weak and helpless." he says, holding up his hands. "I don't know the real story. You'd have to ask someone else. But it SEEMED like that might be something close." he says. And ... if he looked angry before when Kyra had badmouthed his friends? Now he looks different. Less outwardly angry, but more murderous. The difference between anger and the righteous rage that lets one put down a killer before they can do more. It would probably be pretty scary, having that kind of look aimed at yourself.

And yeah, Kilik actually knows about the arranged marriage. He'd heard of it just today, in fact. He doesn't mention it though, since it came from Souji. Souji who is not an actual acknowledged Confederate ally. Kilik's not a good liar, but it's not like Kyra asked him if he knew about her arranged marriage or anything. He doesn't have to lie to keep the secret that he knows more than he's supposed to let on.

Instead he lets his rage fade. No sense worrying about Lao Beifong now. The man can't hurt anyone any more. He grins instead. "I can't see you allowing that. You say you got seven siblings? Let them have the arranged marriages." he says. "You just have to prove yourself more important than for who you might marry. No problem right?"
Kyra Hyral     "Was there...?" Kyra asks, a little surprised. Though that must've been the caase if Toph went ahead and got herself re-adoped. Hm. Maybe Kyra herself should do that and get away from all the dumb Hyral problems. "Actually, no, don't tell me the details, I can probably get them from Toph myself. Feels weird to talk about her behind her back, you know." Then again she had easy access to Toph and he didn't, except on the field. She bets that if Kilik made a challenge over the broadband, Toph would immediately take it up.

Wait why's he looking murderous all the sudden?! Kyra's quick to follow up, confirming what he had heard from Souji earlier: "I'm supposed to be promised to Souji Murasame which is /dumb/ and /stupid/ because it reduces me to a replacement for my dead sister. So no. I'm not allowing that. I'm going to get it called off! Somehow! I don't know how yet! ...maybe I can get myself disowned, that would solve a lot of issues."

At least now Kilik has some cover for what Souji told him earlier.
Kirikou     Kirikou has fairly easy access to talk to Toph any time he wants. They actually call each other to chat once in a while. Often when someone's being particularly dumb in public comms channels. He's even received an invitation to her new dad's home to help celebrate her next birthday. SURE they beat up each other once in a while... but they don't do it out of hatred. They respect each other as adversaries, that's all. And they both love challenging themselves in a serious smackdown.

He frowns slightly at mention of the dead sister, but this doesn't seem to be a terrible issue for Kyra. Not as terrible as the wedding, apparently. Maybe the siblings weren't close, or ... who knows. "I suppose you could ask Tony Stark if he's got any room in his home." Kirikou suggests. "But then you wouldn't be going to school here. Hm. Maybe turn to a life of crime? Join the Confederacy?" he suggests, He doesn't sound sincere, not with either option. Just some light-hearted teasing, that's all. "I'm sure something'll come up!"
Kyra Hyral     Kyra wouldn't be too surprised to learn about this friendly relationship with Toph that Kirikou has. He seems to be a pretty chill guy, especially in relation to the the whole Confederacy thing. It's probably the reason Kyra seems so comfortable with him to begin with even though there's a chance they'd end up fighting each other one day. She still hopes that isn't going to be the case, though, but...

Healer aggro was REAL here. He might roll up and punch her one day to stop the heals.

She catches the frown. "It's...kind of a long story. Souji was supposed to marry Tira instead but she was murdered." The wrath is strong in this one over this fact...which is why she doesn't dwell on it too much since it might provoke an angry anti-Souji rant. "Yeah that's part of the problem, they're kind of paying my tuition. Maybe I could swing a scholarship or two though."

She grins, "I /am/ a friggin' genius after all, it shouldn't be too hard to get." At this point, she takes him up on that punch and does so, tapping him on the shoulder. He can probably barely feel it. STR is not Kyra's strong stat. "Silly, I can't be in the Confederacy AND the Union at the same time!"
Kirikou     Kirikou might well strike at Kyra to stop the heals, if it came to that. He might even specifically target her, knowing that he could take her down without doing irrepairable harm. It would be personal, but only because he'd rather not see her take a sword through the ribs from one of his allies instead.

It wouldn't be a very Valentinesey thing to say though. Even Kilik knows THAT much about romance. So instead of telling Kyra he'd protect her by hitting her with his best training punch, he just grins when she hits him. No chance he's bruised here, though at least he DOES react, clutching at his shoulder dramatically.

"I know it's not cheap here." Kilik says, after his jaw relaxes from the fierce grin. Oh, he KNOWS it's not cheap. He just made arrangements for certain transfers and arrangements after all. "But you're a healer, right? And you do stuff for the Union? You probably make enough with them to afford tuition. If not, you know, a whole lot of high living on the side..." he says lightly. "Of course if you're brilliant enough, maybe you'll end up paying for THEM to go to school and you can tell THEM who to marry!" he encourages.
Kyra Hyral     At that point, Kyra can't help but giggle as Kilik overdramaticises the reaction to her White Mage Punch. She gives him her best gruff tough guy voice, "Suck it up, soldier, there will be more where that came from!" Which is the truth because she playfully pops him in the shoulder again. "You need two to make up for one of yours." she tells him by way of excuse.

His remark about it not being cheap her gets a raised eyebrow, "You've been looking at the tuition rates?" she asks him, a little surprised and now kind of suspicious. "Why, are you looking to take some classes here?" She seems a little excited by this. "Oh, yeah, the Union does pay me. I was actually surprised to learn this at first. I didn't think allies got paid."

She looks thoughtful. Will it cover her tuition? She'd have to run some numbers on that. It would be nice if it could AND she didn't have to live on ramen and bread sandwiches. "Being able to tell them to screw off for good would really be nice."
Kirikou     "Ooooh! Aaaah! No more!" Kilik mock-dramatizes. "It's an arm, not a harm!" he adds, dancing away before he can be belted for the word-play. Not that he figures she'll attack, or that he'd mind if she tried. He LIKES getting reactions from bad word-play. But it's more fun when he gets groans instead of punches.

He looks a little shifty-eyed at the question, but after a moment he shrugs. "Not much sense keeping it a secret, I suppose. You're looking at Alexander's newest exchange student." he finally admits. "I'm gonna be joining you guys soon. Shibusen's sending me as a student rep." he grins. "Er... surprise?"
Kyra Hyral     "Gaaaah Kilik!" Kyra groans at the pun...following it up with a bit of laughter. "Oh, I see you've had enough! Well, I'm feeling merciful tonight so I'll let you off easy and stop my /devistating assault/. Mwahaha. Ha."

Her hunch turns out to be correct. Kyra's eyes widen. "You're coming to school with us here!" she exclaims before suddenly stepping forward to hug him. "Hooray! I'm so happy for you! It's going to be great, you can be in our classes and join our clubs and...I dunno, hang out here and stuff." she releases him.
Kirikou     Kilik's a bit surprised at the hug, but not too much so. He's from a very multicultural society. Some people, his own included, have no nudity taboo. Others hug, or even kiss with easy casualness. And then there's Blair, who ... is Blair. He's not about to be startled by a casual gesture, though neither is he going to assume it's anything but a simple gesture between friends. The twins hug often enough, and even if Kyra's a lot cuter than them it's not like she's doing anything improper.

He IS smiling though, when he's finally released. "I'm looking forward to it!" he says. "Honestly, I can't advance more in Shibusen. Might be able to beat a rival or two, but to really go forward it'd be something in the field. Or, you know, something like this." he says. Then he laughs as the twins come up, making grabby-hands. "They're enrolled too." he points out, knowing what's on their mind. "You should welcome them too!" he claims. "Not the advanced classes or anything, but ... we're still a team."
Kyra Hyral     "I'd be shocked if they weren't. They won't be alone at their age either." As the twins come over to also demand hugs, Kyra stoops down and gathers them both at the same time in her arms to hug. "Well! I'm happy to have all three of you."
