Beli Klum     The arena is fitting, considering who's going to be involved. Summer is a lush area, but it still has a few broad, open spaces where collateral damage wouldn't be as much of a concern. The place Beli has chosen is a field of rolling hills and vibrant grasses, almost devoid trees. No sign of civilization can be seen for miles; the tallest objects on the horizon are the trees of a faraway forest. Nothing should be harmed here that time and patience won't heal.

Beli stands alone in the grass that flutters with the cool breeze of late afternoon. Her wings and halos are nowhere to be seen: she stands only as a tall point of black and radiant white in the bright green around her, one hand on her hip, eyes narrowed to the horizon. Her other hand curls, clenches, and relaxes; the only real outward sign of her anxiety right now. She's certainly not the timid girl of...what is it now? A year ago?

Still, she's far from confident. All she can do right now is hope that her plan works, and if not, that she becomes incredibly lucky. She just has to remain composed, stay upright, and do her absolute best. Even if it may not be quite enough today.
Gohan     The half-Saiyan leader of the PTO doesn't arrive via flagship and incredible fanfare. In fact, there's no ship orbiting Summer at all. He transfers via warp gate. Even stranger is his attire. He doesn't walk onto the battlefield in his Saiyan Royal armor, no cape, but instead his Namekian battle gi. The purple outfit is simple, with a blue belt cinched to his waist and brown shoes. He carries no blade, and a look of sheer determination. As he arrives, he cracks his knuckles loudly and rolls his shoulders. He offers a small smirk, allowing a white aura to whip into existence around him, a small display of his power that he allows to expand out to pulse just in front of Beli.

"I get the sense you're not going to start with a punch," he says, chuckling. "No, I think you want to talk to me about something, don't you? You don't have the body posture of a ready fighter. What's on your mind?" He retracts his aura, but doesn't let it fade. Instead, the grass at his feet begins to scorch ever so slightly under the weight of his radiant strength.
Beli Klum     Beli can't help but be a little surprised to see Gohan looking so...different from his usual regality. It's a somewhat jarring choice, but she doesn't think too much on the meaning of it. Maybe this is informal to him. Maybe he's not very confident in her abilities. Whatever the case, it's not really her concern; her expression just hardens a little when that aura flares into existence and comes close to her. Black hair and trailing clothing billow from the aura's strength, but Beli doesn't falter. Not now.

"Have you really ever known me to throw the first blow? Or be a trained fighter at all, really?" Her brow lifts, a hint of incredulity in her otherwise soft, otherworldly voice. She sighs, then, folding her arms over her chest as she looks across at her saiyan opponent. "But, yes, you are right. I was just thinking...this whole thing is a /little/ awkward, is it not?"

She shrugs, eyes drifting closed and arms lifting with the gesture. "You and I, and, really, everyone else, already know you could beat me with your hands tied behind your back. Even at my full strength, I would be no match for you at yours. I cannot even beat Serori, after all. And really, what would you gain from walking all over someone who never had a chance in the first place? Would your people think any more highly of you?"

The rephaite's mismatched eyes open again as she folds her arms back over her chest, her head cocked slightly to one side. "So, I was considering...just for the sake of making it a little more interesting, you fought me with your hands tied behind your back. Metaphorically, that is. If you won, then it would be an even greater show of your power, that you still defeated me even with that restraint. And if you somehow /lost/, then at least you would not have the humiliation of being defeated at your full strength. I would rather you not feel the need to come at me again because I wounded your pride."

Another huffing sigh falls from her as she spreads her black wings from her back and allows her black halos to flicker to existence behind her head. Her tone is weary, a little begrudging; 'let's get this out of the way,' it seems to say. "How about that, then? It was a little foolish of me to even offer, but we might as well make the most of it at this point."
Gohan     Gohan seems slightly taken aback by Beli's speech, his aura shrinking to an outline around him and causing him to look somewhat hazy. "You... you want me to restrain my power, as a show of power?" he asks, tilting his head. "You're essentially wanting me to throw this fight. That's what you really mean, right? Let's not be dishonest with each other, now. I mean, sure, if I rise to Super Saiyan, I could probably best you. It might even be easy. But if there's one thing I know about combat, it's to never take an opponent lightly. I don't care how my underlings, or these new Saiyans, view me. If I give less than my best, then I'm not taking it seriously. And, if I restrain my power and you turn out to have more up your sleeve than I can handle, then I've errored and lost out of pride, rather than won out of respect."

He tosses his head. "I'm not going to start off a Super Saiyan," he continues, "but I'm not going to hold back on you. Any battle, even the one that should not be lost based on strength alone, can be lost due to any circumstance. Vegeta has proven that. When he first came to Earth, he lost because he underestimated the strength of our wills to overcome him. He had the power advantage, and even was poised to kill us all, but lost due to his arrogance." He shakes his head. "No. I want to fight for real. If I lose, then I lose. If I win, then I win. It will be hard fought, regardless, and I don't really understand why you would talk down on your own power in such a way."

His aura flares back out, and he runs a hand through his spiked hair. "I'll give you my word, and I would hope that it has proven trustworthy to this point. If I lose, I will not seek revenge. We both fight for something more than simple pride. To lose in that pursuit is not something I would carry with shame. Now come."
Beli Klum     His words draw a light frown across Beli's features. She was hoping that he might be a little more foolish, a little more brash, but it seems she hoped for too much. He's learned to be better than some of his kin, from the sound of things, and she's not going to have an easier time by appealing to his pride. "Well, no, I would not be stupid enough to ask you to throw the fight," she replies, letting her arms fall to her sides. "And as much as I may want it, would I become any better to demand that of you? I did not get this far by asking my enemies to let me win. But very well; maybe you are taking this a little more seriously than I thought at first, considering how casually you asked for a challenger."

A crimson sheen suddenly flares to life along every black feather of her wings. Similar flames of blood red swirl into being in the center of each black halo. Tendrils of darkness and scarlet hellfire dance around her left arm and coalesce in her hand, roiling to infernal life. "If that is what you want, then I will give you a real fight, with as much strength as I can muster. I guess we will see whose dedication wins this time. Get ready."

Her left arm lifts, twisting in a flourish that builds brief momentum for the demonic powers in her hand. It's a simple attack for now: an orb of physical shadow and blazing hellfire, fire meant to cause unearthly suffering and darkness meant to consume and corrupt. Aimed straight for Gohan's chest, it will explode against whatever it hits like a bomb as the physical darkness shatters into brief shrapnel around the blazing fire it releases.
Serori The sky lights up as a yellow-white flash shoots across it like a meteor flaming up in the atmosphere. A distant rumble follows its appearance, and a sound almost like a far-off jet engine, both noises growing louder and more racket-like as the object zooms closer. It's Serori, of course -- she stops at a point high above the dueling grounds, the light of her aura winking out, and all her noise diminishing, too. Arms folded across her chestplate, she settles in to watch.
Gohan     Gohan smirks, sinking into a defensive stance. "Good," he says in response, "Just because it was a casual request doesn't mean there isn't weight to this fight. It doesn't take away any of its importance. You have to win, or I keep Namamura and I take your world to boot. Then what's next for me? To take one Elite home is a feat, but to take two from the Union's Elites? It would go a long way to establishing my name in the Multiverse as a whole. And a man can do a lot with influence."

He smiles a bit wider. "That's the spirit, Beli. Show me the limits of your power. Fight me with everything you've got, because nothing else would do either of us justice!" The ground rumbles beneath him as he narrows his eyes, focusing on that hellfire coiling around her arm. As she moves to launch it, Gohan's body flickers. The bomb passes through an afterimage, but he appears to have vanished after it dispells.

Beli would see a flicker in front of her, and Gohan reappears, hand outstretched and aimed toward her stomach, palm nearly making contact. "Let's go!" he cries.

And then a blast of energy closes the small gap between them, white energy filling the void.
Beli Klum     He's fast. Fortunately, Beli's been well aware of that particular quality after fighting the saiyans in the past. She's not stunned when he vanishes, and, in fact, expects him to take advantage of his sudden transmission. Catching the opponent off guard, overwhelming them with speed, strength, and intimidation: these are what she expects from a saiyan, and Gohan doesn't disappoint.

In the time it takes him to shout, she has a scant second to respond. Her left arm flies down and her hand squeezes tight around Gohan's wrist. She's certainly not strong enough to harm him at all with that, no matter how hard her fingers clench, but that's not her intention anyway. In the next fluid movement, she brings her wings in close and extends her arm to the side. If he resists, she simply shoves her own body aside: either way, the burst of energy explodes into empty air, grazing past black feathers.

Gohan has a moment to see the rephaite's glare before she retaliates. She may not have as much physical strength as he does, but when the fist her other hand curls into is suffused in that same burning hellfire and sheathed in a layer of shadow to blot out her skin's glow and make it even more solid, the gap becomes a little smaller.

That fist comes swinging around to crash into Gohan's throat, bursting on impact not unlike the previous bomb was intended to.

"Let us," she agrees in a dull rumble.
Gohan     The halfbreed is taken off guard by the rephaite's quick reaction, his blast turned off course in an instant. "Whoa!" he says, wrenching his arm out of her grasp. As he tries to regain his position, he fails to notice the fist lancing out toward his throat. As it impacts, he rockets backwards, skidding across the ground and gasping for air. He rasps heavily, clutching his throat with one hand as he clenches the other into a fist. "Damnit," he says thickly, his voice rasping and pained. His throat is scorched, but he seems okay to keep fighting. "Not bad!"

He rushes back in, moving to grab Beli by the shoulders. "We're just getting started, though, so don't get too confident about landing first blood!" He attempts to gain purchase, bracing himself and squaring his stance as he bends his head back. "Here's something I learned on Namek!"

As he braces his stance, his head rockets forward, aiming to headbutt Beli in the face.
Beli Klum     Beli's wings flap once, lightly, when Gohan is knocked away, keeping her from going any further forward than she wants. The strike shattered the barrier she had formed around her hand: while powerful, her darkness is still a fragile thing sometimes. Her eyes narrowed at Gohan, she takes just a minute to give that punching hand a brief shake to whip out any lingering ache. Punching still isn't exactly her forte.

The fact that she's at all resorting to these kinds of tactics shows what side she's letting through today. Her skin may still glow with heavenly radiance, but she's clearly allowing the demon to have some control for this battle. Restraint and caution simply aren't going to work here.

But maybe she should be a little more attentive, like she was earlier.

The angelic demon's eyes widen when Gohan suddenly has her in his grasp, the strength of his hold significantly greater than her own. Her teeth bare in a snarl as she struggles to wrench herself free, but to no avail: the next sound that comes is a dull CRACK of a much sturdier saiyan skull against her own. "Ah-!"

The force of the blow sends her stumbling back, doubled over as her hands clutch at her throbbing forehead. Pain lances through her, but that dazed agony only seems to inspire her powers to work even more naturally. That pain inspires anger, and anger comes all too easily to someone of her nature.

"...you really are strong," she winces through her teeth. Even though she doesn't look up at him for another few moments, her powers seem to act of their own accord. Fueled by her wrath, shadows lance out from her dark wings, dozens of tendrils armed with teeth like serpents that fly out at Gohan to stab and strike. Only once, however, before they flicker away into wisps in the light, or find themselves shattered under his fists like glass.
Gohan     Gohan winces slightly, but makes sure to follow through to make the impact resonante as much as possible. He lets her go, smirking at Beli's reaction slightly, chuckling at her words. "You're not half bad your- whoa!" As the tendrils lance out at him, he begins weaving and punching at them as the close in. A few of them survive his onslaught, biting into him and drawing trickles of blood from his arms and chest. As the assault dies down, he surveys his injuries and shrugs. "You're just full of surprises, aren't you?" he says, "Good. I was hoping this would be interesting..."

He drives forward, raising his arms above his head and locking his hands together. "So far, it's not been disappointing! If I let this go on for a long time, I think you'll outdo me."

He brings his arms down in a slamming motion, aiming to exacerbate her already-hurting (hopefully) head by slamming her with an axehandle strike!
Beli Klum     The time it takes Gohan to avoid all her infernal tendrils gives Beli a few moments to get the ringing out of her ears. By the time he's settling down and shrugging, she's standing upright herself, one hand still pressed to her forehead. Her left hand curls at her side, darkness starting to ebb around marble-like skin again. "...surprises, yes. That is what a few people have said. I guess I have the good luck of being a little less direct than-"

And here he comes again. This time, Beli takes the hit not through lack of awareness, but planning. Oh, it turns out worse than she'd hoped, certainly: her right arm is lifted to try and block his strike, but he pushes through that easily enough to slam his fists into her skull again. Her vision blurs, and her ears ring a blaring chorus, but even as she buckles under his strike, she has him right where she was hoping she would be.

    "...surprise."

That soft, strained comment comes just a second before the air fills with the cacophony of hungry buzzing and droning.

From the darkness around her arm emerges a swarm of black, demonic flies, billowing out to immediately surround the two of them in a blotting cloud. They do nothing to Beli, but Gohan is like a feast for them. They bite, they scratch, they sting, they crawl, they grasp, each one as gluttonous as the last and lacking any sort of control in their violent hunger.
Gohan     Gohan drives his attack through her defenses, smiling a bit. However, at the sound of the word 'surprise', he immediately tenses up. And then, plague of hellflies. Gohan roars in anger and pain as the cloud of hell insects descends upon him, biting into him and pursuing him relentlessly. He closes his mouth tight to avoid any internal unpleasantness, but is still able to make muffled roars through his lips as he's set upon like a warm carcass in the sun.

He turns circles, trying to beat the flies away, but soon realizes that isn't going to work at all. He crosses his arms, focusing his mind as he tries to ignore all the sensations around him. With another muffled cry, a dome of energy begins racing from Gohan's body, exploding outward and expanding rapidly.

Not only does he hope to clear the insects, but he also hopes to catch Beli with the blast. She would soon catch an earful, once he was sure he wasn't going to eat one of these hellspawn.
Beli Klum     Fortunately for Beli, the time Gohan needs to flail and howl at the gnawing swarm of Voracity gives her a few precious moments to beat her wings and fly backward, coming to a low crouch in the grass several feet away. A trickle of black blood rolls down her forehead, but she doesn't pay it any mind. Soon Gohan is going to be on the offensive again, and she needs to be as alert as possible.

The air around him explodes, vaporizing the demonic flies in an instant. Beli is far enough out of range to be spared, however, and she knows she has to make good use of this opening. How often is Gohan going to provide one, anyway?

Her wings stretch out for just as long as she needs to give them a powerful beat again, launching her forward with a gust of wind that sends the grasses around her fluttering. Her wings are brought in close to speed up her flight, and her fist lifts, once more wreathed in the demonic power of shadow and flame. For once, her voice grows: a shout at the top of her lungs that echoes with a chorus of bells and a volcano's eruption, carrying with it the same explosive force that her fist delivers to Gohan's jaw a second later.
Gohan     As the flies are atomized, Gohan lets loose a roar and a long stream of curses. "Flies! Why flies?!" He pats his body, making sure he is completely bug-free, and as he's doing so... he catches a flaming punch to the jaw. He is sent sprawling, his body slamming against the ground and rolling through the grass. He stands back up a bit shakily, rubbing the back of his hand against his mouth and wiping away the blood there. He spits out another gob of blood, then turns to face Beli, glaring a bit. "And you wanted me to hold back," he says, chuckling slightly. He draws his hands to his side, cupping them and forming a ball. "Kaaaa..." he starts, his aura beginning to flare out a bit more.

    "MEEEEE... HAAAAA... MEEEEE...!"

A sphere of blue energy begins to swell to a massive size. He holds it for a moment or two, then pushes his hands forward. "HAAAA!"

A massive blue-white beam splits the air with the sound of a bomb in its wake, barrelling toward Beli with the size and concern of a large locomotive.
Beli Klum     Another powerful beat of black wings keeps Beli from flying further than she wants, once Gohan is sent tumbling away with the force of her infernal impact. She comes to alight on the ground once more, flexing her fingers and leering after Gohan as he finds his footing. She doesn't seem to find much sympathy in his bleeding; she just shrugs a little to his chuckling, curling her hand into a fist again. "What can I say? I guess I am surprising myself a little, too."

This...this isn't an attack Beli has dealt with before. The kamehameha is one saiyan technique she never experienced first-hand...but, then again, that's to be expected with a limited pool of targets. Her eyes widen, and she quickly swings an arm up to cast a wall of shadow in front of her, but it's not nearly as effective as the angelic shield she's used to using. The kamehameha shatters the wall of shadow into splintering shards, then continues right ahead to Beli herself.

Now it's her turn to go flying.

When Beli finally comes to a halt face-down in the grass, she has to take a moment more to compose herself. It's clear enough why when she unsteadily pushes herself to her feet, wincing and hunched over: various sections of burned-away clothes reveal scorches along her white skin that steam with the attack's power. Her teeth are bared in a pained snarl; between that, her now-tattered clothes, and the crimson glow still shining over her black wings, she's taken on a much more feral - or demonic - look than most would expect from her.

"That was...new," she groans, forcing herself upright again. Her hands are balled into fists as she strains against the pain of that impact, but she's handling it. Unwilling to give Gohan another opening, she casts her hands down to the ground again, palms down and fingers spread. Shadows seep from them into the ground, creeping through the earth in black cracks that rush over to Gohan with incredible speed. Once they surround him, they flare up and around, bursting into thick 'vines' of darkness that make a crackling sound like grinding glass as they grow into a tangle around him, forming a web-like dome.

And then, with a pulse of red that flows from Beli's hands, they explode in a massive gout of hellfire, whose burning pain is only increased by the shards of darkness that fly at him from all angles.
Gohan     Gohan pants slightly, but smirks as his attack hits its mark. As Beli is sent sprawling across the landscape, Gohan moves in to keep her on the back foot. However, he's not quite quick enough, and she begins send another attack at him. However, rather than slow down, he begins charging energy in both of his hands. The dome begins to rise up around him, but he doesn't stop, blasting his way through it, the 'vines' nicking and grazing him as he passes through. He lifts off the ground, drawing one leg back as he closes the final bit of distance toward Beli. He can feel the heat of the dome's explosion behind him as he kicks his leg out...

And passes right through Beli. Another afterimage

He flickers into existence behind her, smirking slightly as he draws back a fist. "You certainly have interesting techniques. It makes me feel boring by comparison," he says, jokingly.

Right before he attempts to slam a glowing fist into Beli's spine. The punch itself would likely not hurt, but the blast of energy that would follow if he hit might add to that!
Beli Klum     Gohan's speed and energy come to his rescue again. As caught up as she is in what she's doing, Beli doesn't have the time or focus to shift her attack into something to strike him from where he approaches. She grits her teeth, wings flapping to knock her backward as his leg flies out and-

Sends her right into his incoming fist, from where he /really/ is. A CRACK can be heard just before that violent explosion to follow sends Beli hurtling forward, tumbling through the grass with a new, scorching hole against her back.

She's quick to try and push herself to her feet, but she falters with a pained cry as the fracture along her spine kicks in. Despite her supernatural heritage, she really isn't durable; all she has is her stubbornness to weather damage like this, and even that has its limits. Her fist slams into the ground as she stifles another groan through pursed lips. Her lower wings droop like a trailing dress, lacking a sturdy support now.

"...I think..." She gasps, glaring between her black bangs, "I think you are...more than effective and skilled enough, regardless."

Suddenly, her left hand shoots out again, another swirl of darkness dancing around it. What flies at Gohan this time, however, isn't shadow or flame or bugs, not at first, but sap. An amber fluid aimed to strike at each of his feet in turn before almost immediately hardening into stone. Definitely not an issue for him to deal with, considering saiyan strength, but she hopes it might buy her a minute or two.

And whether or not it does, the next thrust of her hand is aimed straight for his chest. A powerful wave of shadow flares into existence and rushes at Gohan to slam into him like a brick wall before splintering and dissolving again. If his feet are still stuck, that might prove even more of a problem for him.
Gohan     As his hit strikes home, Gohan grimaces at the cry Beli lets out. Had he broken her spine? If so, it was a done battle, right? Wrong. She still seems intent on fighting him, and that's fine by him. "Sure, I've got the strength and speed down, but it's pretty uninteresting to watch, no?" He crosses his arms... and then is stuck to the ground by his ankles by some sort of stone glue. "What the hell?!" he yells, struggling against the bonds. He attempts to fly away, but the glue keeps him rooted to the ground. "Son of a...!"

And then he's hit in the chest with another burst of hell energy from Beli.

On the good side, he's not stuck to the ground anymore. On the bad side... He's pretty sure his sternum is cracked, and maybe some ribs.

He lands on the ground, struggling for breath as he coughs out a lot of blood. A lot. He rolls back to his feet, spitting out more of the red. He can still breathe, but it's ragged, and it pains him to do so. Nonetheless, he staggers back over to Beli, trying to get there before she can muster the will to stand back up properly.

There's no elegance in his next action, and no mercy in it either. He rears back his leg, and attempts to deliver a brutally solid kick to her center of mass.
Beli Klum     That double strike buys Beli a few seconds to continue her struggle to find her footing, hurriedly pushing herself up to her knees before she finds herself straining again. Her seraphic flames would take too long to heal the fracture right now, even if she did shift over; she has to endure, has to get up...

Gohan ensures that this is even harder for her. His kick strikes her torso and sends her tumbling aside again, knocking the wind right out of her. She coughs and gasps for breath, curled on the ground in yet another burst of intense pain. She can't speak; she can hardly even breathe after that strike, and so Gohan's earlier question goes unanswered.

Her mind, however, sparks to life. A similar flame that ignites her soul, roiling with a deep-seated fury. At Gohan, at herself; an enraged denial of impending failure at whatever cost, even if it means continuing to break under Gohan's strength. She will /fight/.

Beli will have trouble doing so directly, but as Gohan is well aware by now, she has many other methods of defending herself. This time it comes from where her shadow blankets the ground around her, serving as a further conduit for her demonic darkness. The blackness suddenly ebbs out along the ground, then rears up in front of the saiyan, manifesting into a gaping mouth of both crushing and piercing teeth easily as large as he is. The howl it releases is like a shriek echoing in a deep cave, and a second later, it tries to chomp down on him in a single crushing blow while Beli tries rolling herself back up onto her hands and knees.
Gohan     Gohan takes no pleasure in the fact that he's kicking a downed opponent, but he doesn't care. It's a matter of keeping moving and fighting so he doesn't lose. As Beli rolls away from him after his kick, he continues his advance, only to be stopped short by... Beli's shadow? Yeah, it turns into a Langolier-looking thing and chomps down on him. Teeth pierce and slam into his body, and he roars out, spraying blood out as he does. He struggles against the jaw, roaring loudly as he summons his ki again. "Damn... you...!" he groans, before he roars out again...

...and another explosion of energy races from his form, attempting to blow the massive mouth trying to eat him away. And maybe slam into Beli in the process. "Damn powers...! I don't understand..."
Beli Klum     The mouth of darkness is shattered, and Beli, sitting so close to it, feels the force of Gohan's blast just as much. Again, she's slammed with overwhelming energy, and again, she's cast further back along the grassy hill, steaming from the force of Gohan's energy. Just propping herself up on one elbow is enough of a struggle now. She gasps for breath and strains to keep her head up. Her wings drape around her in a black and crimson blanket; two seem bent at odd angles, but whatever pain Beli might feel from them is dulled by something stronger.

Wrath. A boiling sensation in her chest, brought on by this whole situation. Anger that she's about to fail again, no matter how much she struggles. Anger at Gohan for pushing her this far and dangling a friend's entire world in front of her like this. Anger at the failure of every plan, every hope, every preparation. And, more than all, anger at the very thought of lying down and letting this happen.

Beli's wrath inspires her denial, and flares across her entire body in a tumult of black and red. Much of her radiant skin is exposed and scorched through her tattered clothes, but the encroaching darkness seems to blot out whatever light remains. "I..."

Her fingers dig into the dirt as she shoves her hands against the ground. Pain rocks through her body and makes her unsteady, but she drives through it into a kneel, then a stand, stumbling toward Gohan. Ragged, agonized, infuriated, her next words come in a cacophonious shout that erupts with a volcano's wrath and rocks like the crumbling belltower.

    "I WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN!"

The space around her explodes. Hellfire and shadow roil around her in a cutting, burning tempest, blasting out for several feet in all directions as a dome of bloody shadow. The grass is scorched to ash; the dirt is whipped and crushed into a small crater. Accompanied by her scream, the space around Beli is consumed in every last spark of her overwhelming wrath, threatening to take Gohan with it as well.
Gohan     Gohan is unsteady, but he's still on his feet. The same can't be said for Beli. She's... okay, she's getting th... damnit. Beli's back on her feet and radiating hell and anger. Her bellow causes him to wince, but he doesn't back down. He places his hands to his forehead, palms out. As the hellfire dome expands, he roars out, his skin burning and blistering and even chipping and flaking off in places. However, he remains standing. Golden energy flares into existence in front of his hands, the ball swelling to match Gohan's height.

"You won't fail?!" Gohan chokes, "Well neither will I! So let's see who wins out! MASENKO... HAAAAA!"

Gohan flings his hands forward, firing the massive golden beam toward his opponent. He drops to one knee after, his injuries beginning to catch up to him. Blood oozes from his burns, and Gohan pants raggedly.
Beli Klum     The blazing storm of all the torments of Hell finds itself pierced through by the blazing power of golden light. Like the night before the sunrise, all the ripping shadows simply melt against that glorious light. No matter how much Beli rages, no matter how much it fuels her demonic powers, it has to finally falter in the face of that attack. Her cry is silenced, and the maelstrom ends.

When the light also fades, Beli is finally prone on the ground, sprawled on her back with her eyes closed and black wings spread out around her. The earth around her is a scorched crater, her outfit tattered, her glowing skin burned, her wings bent at odd angles; one might think her rest peaceful, if it weren't for those blatant signs of violence.

Now unconscious, Beli is silenced and, for the moment, calmed. Perhaps when she wakes, she will have enough time to respond to the battle's events, but until then, she will not even stir.
