Tsubasa Kazanari       This is the industrial area of the city that Lydian Music Academy, and thus the home of Symphogear, resides in. Made up of mostly metal buildings of the warehouse kind, it seems pretty quiet for a lunchtime during the middle of the day. These are some portside docks, too, which means there's more room than expected - but it's all filled.

The Noise walk the pathways between them - dozens of blue-colored humanoid like figures with a large checkerboard filled pink area, and small whale or slime like figures with two legs crawling on the walls that have amber tops and the same pink checkerboard stomachs. They all seemt o have the same idea- they're all heading for the gate to the entrance to this area.

A block or so away, Tsubasa waits on her motorcycle by one of the few known Warpgates, through which the Unionites will be arriving. When they've all gathered, she gives them a nod, still in her school uniform.

"Follow me." At a bicycle walking speed, she wheels the way around towards the gate. There's about five hundred feet between the protectors and the Noise. "That." Tsubasa says quietly; "Are Noise."
Kirika     Once she's out of the portal and in the world itself, Kirika doesn't waste time continuing on her way. Nimbly bounding across traffic towards the source of the disturbance, she is shadowed with a glamor until she reaches the girl on the motorcycle.

Such a vehicle draws the half-fox's notice, fascinated by the design. It's almost like a horse, if motorized and requiring wheels and all that jazz.

She bows her head towards Tsubasa, grasping the hilt of her sword as the glamor fades and her true form is revealed, a woman in somewhat contemporary clothing with a fox's tail and ears. "Well met."

Following along with Tsubasa, she rests a hand on her sword's hilt, Kinugiri about to rise from the sheath within an instant if necessary.

A voice only she can hear warns, ~Be wary, milady. This might not be as simple as you expect.~ Sharp eyes can pick out the tattoo on Kirika's neck glowing for a brief moment.

"I know." Kirika mutters, before falling silent once more.
Nozomi Houken     One of the people who comes through the warpgate is in fact a person plus accessory. Big, black, metallic accessory. With claws.

Calling a robot in the shape of a stylized tiger 'an accessory' may be stretchting the definition beyond its limits, but there you are.

The unrelenting clunkitaclunkitaclunk of big metal paws on blacktop joins Tsubasa without hesitation, its user riding atop the black mechafeline with more than a little concern on her face. "A-ah, those...?" Taiga's shoulder cannons are already tracking, however, and after a moment's scanning, he declares simply, "Their intangibility will not be an issue. The enchantments on my claws should allow me to reach them regardless."

Nozomi nods her head faintly, seeming to accept this. As timid as she is, it's a wonder she's on the battlefield at all.
Tsubasa Kazanari As Tsubasa and the other girls leave, a man - Shinji Ogawa - shows up to the Warpgate, just in case any late comers come to help. "We are not sure exactlyw hat they are ma-- no!" Tsubasa shouts as a door opens and a man walks straight out into the crowd of Noise. The man looks at her, terrified, even as a Noise reaches out and touches him - and in an instant, both Noise and man turn into dust and disappear into the wind.

"... this is why they are labeled a menace." Tsubasa says quietly.

Tsubasa revs her motorcycle. "I do not know if your weapons will work on them. They say they might. I am warning you though. Do not let them touch you, and do not touch them."

Tsubasa then drives straight for the gate, before she skids toa stop, laughing herself in the air. "Imyuteus Ame no Habakiri Tron..." One flashy transformation sequence later, Tsubasa lands in a hand stand around a group of noise, a pair of blades getting kicked out from her strange boots, before she whirls around, the Noise dissipating as the weapon touches them. The other Noise, sensing something, surge towards Nozomi and Kirika.
Kirika     Kirika jumps into a stance as she hears the door open, and her response echoes Tsubasa. A pang of anger and regret reaches up Kirika's spine, and she torques her jaw just as she reaches down to draw her sword. And draw she does, her enchanted blade humming to life when the Noise emerge with intent to kill.

The feeling is mutual, it seems, as Kirika narrows her eyes. "My sword will suffice." She says calmly, before she lunges towards the Noise attacking both herself and Nozomi. "Stay behind me!" She tells the girl and her companion, no doubt to buy them time to get into position or whatever.

Gripping her sword, Kirika leaps and slashes with a flame-edged strike at the creatures, getting to business for the time being.
Nozomi Houken     A man turns to ash before her eyes. The expression on Nozomi's face rapidly turns to undisguised fright. "A-ah... that man-!" After a moment or so, Taiga slows, then stops, His passenger slips off his back, calmly observing, "There are many of them, Nozomi. I will attempt to fight them without your help, but if I cannot ensure your safety..." He trails off, perhaps leaving the other two to wonder just what he could mean that suddenly has the mousy girl looking so hesitant. But she nods faintly, and then he turns to leap into the fray as Kirika adopts a defensive position.

And those cannons of his light up almost immediately, each one tracking independently, and firing baseball-sized globes of golden magical power. One shot alone might only be enough to injure one of the utterly alien Noise, but he never fires less than two or three shots per target. And the very instant any of them come in range, they'll end up lashed out at by magically-enhanced claws. The sort designed to rend ghosts and pierce right through magical protection.
Tsubasa Kazanari Kirika's flames seem to do the trick, and so does Taiga's shots and claws. Both rip through some enemies as Tsubasa stands back and watches them for a few seconds, disbelief on her face, then a startling little shine of hope. She has been prepared to fight Noise since she was five - to know that she and Hibiki didn't have to be the only two anymore... well...

Okay, final three, if she can ever figure out what's going on with Chris.

"Be careful! Theya re capable of emulating styles and other such things. Shooting parts of themselves - and watch out from above!" She cries, as a group of the smaller Slime-like Noise that were above on the walls detach themselves, lauching at Nozomi and Kirika. One of the blue humanoid ones sort of glides over towards Taiga, as Tsubasa throws herself back into another group, a large katana suddenly appearing in her grip.
Kirika     Once again Kirika lays with her sword, slashing and leaping all around one of the Noise before it finally falls piece-by-piece. She immediately moves on to another, making sure to help cover Taiga's blind spots if the robotic tiger needs it.

Whoever created him deserves props, because it's evident Taiga may not even need that much help in the end. That said, such things don't last long, and Kirika notices a need to cover both Nozomi and her guardian.

Tsubasa's words inspire her a little, and she suddenly sheaths her blade to produce several scraps of paper inscribed with glowing writ. Several of the notes are thrown at Nozomi and Taiga's feet, producing an energy field of some sort to keep them blocked. "Stay behind that barrier!" She warns them, before suddenly enveloping her right hand in fire, and her left in ice. ALternating between bolts of flame and frost, Kirika aims to suppress the noise.
Nozomi Houken     Taiga is a flurry of attacks, but it is concentrated. Directed. He is an assassin with guns, darting in among the outskirts of the Noise and wreaking havoc. When a humanoid shape moves his way, he turns and 'guts' it without a second thought, but that gives him the perfect angle to see Nozomi leap to one side in alarm, letting out a fearful little yelp. In the very next instant he is beside her, moving with impressive speed and obliterating the Noise threatening her.

"Nozomi," he says, his tone surprisingly soft for a machine, quite suddenly. "I don't believe I can keep you safe like this." There is a fearful glance on her part, between the TIGER and the noise... and then she nods.

Her voice is very, very small. "...alright."

At once, Taiga's voice becomes mechanical, losing the cadence of 'life', of intelligence, and becoming a simple system announcement. "Disengaging Independent Mode. Rerouting Gensou Engine power to motive and combat systems. Rampart Mode engaged."

Feline hull unfolds. Limbs come apart, lift into the air. Nozomi holds her arms out, and a black bodysuit flickers into being around her, her standard clothes replaced. Bracers, greaves, body armor locks into place, while a blade unfolds before her and her hair is pulled by unseen force into twintails.

As the armor connects, the 'gem' parts shine briefly, and her eyes fade from brown to a matching yellow, gaze hardening. Her hair shoots through with black, replacing the brown color completely, and without a split second of hesitation, her hand snaps forward and grabs the handle of her huge sword.

Gone is the hesitation. Gone is the fear. There is only the cold look of a war machine in her eyes, as if she were a completely different person. And without a moment's pause, the armored girl is among the Noise, cleaving and slashing.
Tsubasa Kazanari Taiga and Nozomi... sort of fuse together in a epic looking transformation. Tsubasa blinks. Okay, yeah, that's probably the only thing that's going to keep Nozomi from turning into a pile of carbon dust. Tsubasa then dives into proteciton mode, her blade swinging around as she bisects a few Noise.

There is a clear thing: Once they're injured, or 'killed', they basically turn into a form of dust and disappear, much like the man and Noise did at the start. It helps with clean up, for the most part, just don't recommend breathing into the air.

Once she's sure Nozomi will be safe, she vaults up to the nearest low roof, running down it in a burst of speed as her blade transforms. Something also else become very clear- as Tsubasa gets into the rhythm of the fight, she starts singing, a sort of j-pop song that resonates with her Symphogear.
Kirika     At the least, these things don't make as much a mess as Thralls do, or most monsters Kirika is more used to killing. Slaying more with either magic or blade, she goes back to Kinugiri as she slides towards the feet of another Noise. Rising, she slices upwards at the creature to bisect it, before she moves on to another of the things.

She notices Tsubasa taking off, and she is quick to follow suit, bounding and running up a pair of walls until she reaches a rooftop. Sprinting across, she occasionally tosses down a bolt of fire, or occasionally slows down to engage Noise that either follow her up, or already were posted up high.
Nozomi Houken     The transformation, it seems, has done more than make Nozomi much safer. The resultant armored warrior is on an entirely different level from Taiga alone. That huge sword of hers gives her impressive reach, and with the jets on its hilt firing at just the perfect time, it might as well weigh next to nothing. Its slashes carry all the properties of Taiga's claws, but even moreso, and when she lifts her left hand to point a closed fist at an incoming Noise, the gauntlet she wears fires off one of those energy shots his cannons had been unleashing - but even those are amped up, a single shot now more than enough to seal the fate of lesser Noise.

And the entire time, she remains utterly silent. No kiai for any of her strikes, no grunt of effort when she heaves that weapon of hers around. There is only the heavy breath of exertion, and that unfailing cold expression on her face.
Tsubasa Kazanari Kirika seems confused about the music. However, the reaction of the music Tsubasa is singing, combined with the Relic that is her Symphogear and the Power of Music and her Armed Gear and okay let's just face it, Tsubasa singing + her stuff equals, well, power.

Tsubasa lands behind the Noise, noticing Kirika.

She gestures with her blade towards another alleyway just down there, clearly showing that she is going to go for a triangle pincer attack with Nozomi at the head. She clasps her hand on her blade, which doubles in size instanteously before she strides forward.

All in all, everyone's attacks are doing great for taking the Noise down, there's just a lot of them, and they all want a taste of the three girls' skin.
Nozomi Houken     At the very least, even if she is behaving rather unnervingly for such a meek girl, Nozomi still seems to be intelligent. Enough so as to slowly give ground as she fights, to take a step back here, another there. To draw them along with her, both to line them up and to keep herself from getting surrounded. But there finally comes a moment where several Noise descent from above, and without skipping a beat, the armored young lady leaps up into the air, cleaves them in half with several rapid strikes-

    -And stays there.

Jets on her back activate, holding the techno-magical girl aloft. Holding her sword in a one-handed grip resting on her shoulder, she brings up that left gauntlet again and simply begins raining fire down on the Noise. Yellow energy shots are fired again and again, taking advantage of the target-rich environment of the horde to simply plug as many of them as she can at range.
Kirika     That gesture doesn't escape Kirika's notice, and despite her confusion as to how Tsubasa can sing, and she does sing well, during this it's evident she knows what to do here. Eliminating one more patrol on her way, she leaps towards the alleyway after finishing her sprint.

As she leaps towards the alleyway, Kirika's tail manages to snag onto something to grab onto, before releasing her without cutting out all her momentum on the descent. Bounding from wall to wall, Kirika finally lands on the ground with sword slashing a few noise on the way.

"Alive or no, this is where it ends for you all, foul demons." She snarls, lightning coating her sword as she meets the noise closest to her in direct combat.
Tsubasa Kazanari The three make their own battles. Luckily, by this point, as Kirika and Tsubasa make their way back to the main plaza, they've maybe gotten three fourths of all the noise, and the Noise is becoming increasingly more agitated as they realize that they now have more things to worry about. The blue armored Noise start shooting black bullets, which Tsubasa swings her sword around, slamming the tip into the ground as it broadens and thickens again, become a shield of a sorts.

It's clear: Don't get hit by those either.

Tsubasa lifts her blade, then dives into the group that's left, flipping into a handstand and whirling her legs around as the blades click into place across her ankles as the group tries to circle her.
Nozomi Houken     There's only so much Nozomi can do from the air, even if it is slightly safer. Having thinned the crowd to her apparent satisfaction, she leans forward in the air and erupts into straight-ahead flight, quickly covering the distance to rejoin Tsubasa and Kirika. That gauntlet continues to spew yellow death upon the Noise, until she's created a gap large enough for her to drop down and land with a heavy *THUD*.

That's when that sword of hers comes back into play, slashing here and there, cleaving the Noise apart with impunity. One of those black energy shots glances off her armor with a sizzle and a flash; the black metal apparently carries a defensive charge much like the offensive infusing her sword. She turns and glares at the Noise as if offended, shifts her grip on her blade, and-

    "EM Siege Breaker."

With that system declaration from the TIGER, yellow energy begins to infuse the blade, growing brighter and brighter. The armored girl turns and jets straight in at the armored Noise, bringing her sword up and over for a positively brutal overhead slash - one in which her cutting power is heavily augmented by the yellow energy charged into it. At least, until the blade has bitten in deep. At that point, the magical power ERUPTS, exploding from within and becoming like a sawed-off shotgun blast. Not only will her target eat all that power, but a good number of Noise behind it as well.
Kirika     Judging by that massive interjection on the radio, Kirika just broke the unspoken sin of this line of work; pondering what lies ahead. However tempting fate and the debates regarding it can wait, as there are still Noise to eliminate.

Using the barrage of fire from Taiga/Nozomi's gauntlet as cover, Kirika begins to press the assault from up-close. A noise is leaped over, swiftly decapitated, and hit with a point-blank blast of flame before Kirika slices through more of the horse, her steps light and her strikes swift and elegant.

Making sure to keep from getting cooked by TIGER's blast of energy, Kirika attacks low to slow the noise down before finishing them off with several succinct, repeated slashes from Kinugiri.
Tsubasa Kazanari All three work together, and in the end, as the blasts and slashes stop, there is nothing but silence as Tsubasa's song fades away. However, based on the anxious look she shoots Kirika, she vaults to a roof, and starts scanning the skies and everything else.

"Ogawa-san?"

"We're reading an all clear, Kazanari-san." The man's voice echoes from her radio, at what point she sighs, leaning on her blade like a cane. Okay, so they didn't get jinxed today.

She then looks back at the others, clearing her throat. "Thank you." She says, only slightly hoarse.
Kirika     A pause. Kirika's ears and nose focus, trying to sniff and listen for additional threats. A few breathless moments pass before Kirika eases up, and her focus to the moment at hand returns. Her sword is sheathed, and she gives the hilt a good rap with the bottom of her fist as she pops her neck and tucks the sheathed sword back in her belt.

She remains quiet as Tsubasa speaks with her superiors, listening curiously for a moment as her eyes peer around intently.

A bow is given towards Tsubasa, nodding to her upon thanks being doled out. "You are most welcome, Tsubasa." She says formally, before giving the merged teenager and robo-kitty a nod as well in acknowledgment.
Nozomi Houken     Nozomi's silent dance of supernatural death ceases at last when no other targets present themselves; she turns her head to look wordlessly at Tsubasa, and then as if to confirm, she begins looking around. When she does so, holographics appear before her face, a small HUD feeding the results of the TIGER's sensor scans to its user. Satisfied with whatever readings it gave her, she seems to relax.

"Disengaging Rampart Mode. Restoring power to cognitive and emotive functions. Independent mode engaged."

The armor parts. Nozomi steps out of it, that black bodysuit disappearing to leave behind her school clothes, and the black fades from her hair, the gold from her eyes. Behind her, the TIGER reassembles itself into the robotic feline of before, while Nozomi...

Nozomi loses that cold-as-ice expression. It fades quickly to a look of silent, fearful revulsion as the memory of the past few minutes hits her restored personality. Immediately, she hugs herself, shivering quietly.
Tsubasa Kazanari Tsubasa looks at Nozomi sharply. Restoring power to cognitive and emotive functions?

She does not seem to like that phrasing, especially as she recognizes Nozomi's new expression as she shivers and the revulsion. Hrm. Then she shakes her head. No time to get involved in that sort of thing yet.. although time will tell. "It's okay, they're gone now. We have very good systems so we are able to keep track of when they pop up. We got lucky today that they came to a mostly empty industrial area. They..." Tsubasa's jaw tightens.

"They crashed a idol concert once. The noise did."
Nozomi Houken     Clunk-clunk. Taiga's paws hit the ground again, and he ambles forward towards his user. In a display that might be surprising for a machine, he pads right up next to her, and then simply shifts close enough to press his side against her leg. Simple contact, reassuring presence. "Nozomi?" She gives a faint shake of her head, and stammers, "I-I'll... be fine..."

When Tsubasa speaks, he turns his head to look up her way. "If this is typical of Noise attacks, I'm not certain that we can offer aid safely in the future. I cannot ensure my user's safety in Independent Mode, and transformation is-"

    "I-it's fine."

Taiga is interrupted by Nozomi. He looks briefly caught off-guard, but perhaps not truly surprised. She continues with a soft, shaky voice. "I-if... if people are at risk... if we can save them... th-then I... I don't mind. I'll help."
Kirika     A look of concern is given to Nozomi, before Kirika is reassured. She listens to Tsubasa's explanation of the situation, thinking back to the reports given before regarding this whole thing. "I see."

Nodding to Nozomi after a moment, she looks to Tsubasa. "You may call upon my help as well. I will not allow more worlds to come to harm if I am able to do something about it.

Kirika raises an eyebrow at the cat and child, but she says little else. "If we are finished here, what then?"
Tsubasa Kazanari "Thank you for your offers to help." Tsubasa says simply.

"If you need medical attention, we can provide. Otherwise, Ogawa-san and I will see you to the portal so you may safely leave."
Kirika     "I will be fine." Kirika says. Whatever wounds she may have are probably knitting themselves together easily over time. She glances to Nozomi and Taiga once more, before she glamors away her vulpine features and her sword. With that, she begins to head her way out quietly.
