Ysuran     Wouldn't you think you'd find a necromancer in the Cavern of Death? Almost stereotypical, isn't it? But sure enough, that's exactly where one finds Ysuran. He is here to study the energies of death across the Multiverse, to see if it is similar to the negative energies he's accustomed to dealing with as a necromancer.

Currently a skeleton that he has recently made re-dead, he has raised yet AGAIN, to serve the purpose of protecting him while he's here studying. With an extra set of eyes watching out for him-- even if they are the blank, empty ones of a skeleton-- Ysuran lets his guard down somewhat, just enough to take in the 'sense' of the place. Feel the differences in the energy.
Blurr     It certainly makes sense that Ysuran is here. A necromancer, studying death, of course. But why is Blurr here? It's definitely a weird place for him, since he doesn't exactly understand all this 'death energy' stuff. Some people -are- interested in it, though. Like Perceptor, or Jetfire or other techy type. Some of whom are of the opinion that some of it might be worth exploiting. So who do they send out to get samples and readings? Why, Blurr of course because he's so fast and agile, he's bound to be the most efficient at this sort of thing.

So here he is, moving along the dark tunnels. As he approaches Ysuran's location, a pinprick of light appears in the distance draws gradually nearer, becoming brighter and larger as it does.
Ysuran     Ysuran does not see the pinpoint of light. But his skeleton does. It's hard to hear a skeleton giving a headsup to its master. For Ysuran it's more a mental poke than anything else. Though the skeleton snaps its teeth as if to speak a warning to Ysuran.

The elven necromancer opens his eyes, releasing the grip on the magic, and turns to face the thing that is approaching. "...What is this, now...?" He's not quite sure what to expect, but directs his skeleton to take point and prepares a spell. His hand glows sharply black and purple, but he holds his attack for now.
Blurr     Brighter and brighter the light becomes as it comes nearer. It's traveling quite quickly, especially for a treacherous terrain like this one.

The light is almost blinding, now. Though once his eyes adjust to the brightness, Ysuan would likely be able to make out what looks like a sleek blue sports car. It is very fancy, like something out of an automobile magazine. It's definitely weird though, why would someone be driving their flashy show car in these caves?
Ysuran     Not that Ysuran really has any concept of what a 'car' is, aside from a very strange magical carriage that somehow requires no beasts of burden to pull it. He recognizes this as one of those, and assumes that there is someone inside it. However, no overt attacks have happened yet. So he releases the odd energies surrounding his hand. But he doesn't release the skeleton yet, and the boney creature stands its place.

Speaking of that energy, Blurr's sensors will probably have a hard time trying to read that stuff. It's negative energy... something like negative chi, but originating from OUTSIDE the black-haired person instead of inside him.

As for the person himself? He almost looks human. But his proportions are just ever so slightly off, and the points of his ears canbe glimpsed poking through his hair. And if he's actively being scanned, there's a few readings that are probably off somehow. Just enough to indicate 'not human, but pretty close'. The skeleton of course, is a normal skeleton.
Blurr     Oh, Blurr is scanning him, that's for sure. He isn't too surprised at how -weird- this guy looks, after all this is the multiverse and weird happens all the time, even more so than before the unification. Hmm, the energy readings look a lot like antimatter, but not quite. Well Perceptor will have a fun time with this data, that's for sure.

And now that he is close enough, Ysuran will probably see that there is actually -no one- in the driver's seat.
Ysuran     The lack of a driver to this magic carriage confuses Ysuran even more-- did they drive themselves, then? Were they less carriages without need of beasts of burden and more beasts of burden themselves? Had this one wandered away from its herd? ...Did they travel in herds? He hoped not; he'd seen how fast they traveled and the thought of a sampeding herd of these metal creatures seemed like a horribly deadly thing.

He was under the impression, in fact, that they were artificial. If theywere also INTELLIGENT... well, that lent other uncomfortable hypotheses. An automaton... like Zarad's? MIght this be anotherof Zarad's creations? But Duskmarrow was dead, wasn't he?

With a mental command, Ysuran begins to approach the apparently driverless magic carriage. Despite being tensed for battle, his tone is kind as he speaks up, "...Is anyone there?" He has a bit of a rasp to his voice, as if he doesn't use his voice that often, and there's an ever so slight nasally quality to it. It has the effect of making him sound a bit snooty, but the kind tone is completely at odds with that.
Blurr     Now the weird guy is talking to Blurr. Oh, slaggit! He hadn't had his holoform active. But why should he have, anyway? He hadn't expected any random people to be in this cave. He had just finished taking some more readings for the nerdbots back at base.

Hmm...as weird as this guy is, perhaps he's seen him before? Wasn't he in that one version of Boston, up against those Slaughterhouse 9 people? Oh, -yeah-. Lights on the dashboard pulsate as Blurr makes his reply. "Well what does it -look- like?" he chuckles slightly.
Ysuran     Ysuran jumps a little, taking a few steps back when he driverless magic carriage TALKS! Then he pauses. Ears twitch as he recognizes the voice. Wait... that's right. In that modern city with all the unpleasant smells. Fighting against the powerful killers with superhuman abilities. He relaxes then, and a mental command has the skeleton standing at ease as well, loweringthe point of the sword it carries.

Bowing deeply, Ysuran speaks, "My apologies. When last we met, there were a great many goings-on. With that and having such little comprehension of the world I had found myself in, I was... confused, to say the least. My recollection of the events is... shall we say, spotty."
Blurr     The hoverspeeder suddenly starts to unfold, panels flipping out and gears turning as it appears at firs to fall apart but within seconds it is no longer a car but a 30-foot-tall mechanoid standing before Ysuran. Blurr crouches down as far as he can comfortably go to peer at the necromancer. "Yeah, I get that. It was pretty chaotic. But I'm glad it was a mission accomplished." He glances around the dark cavern. "So uh, what're you doing here?"
Ysuran     Ah-ha. The... automaton? Was he an automaton? Most automatonsthat Ysuran had dealt with didn't speak. So perhaps this one wasn't exactly an automaton. He HAD helped, Ysuran remembered. The necromancer still backed up a few paces when that carriage started unfolding into a human shape. It's not exactly something one would see outside a polymorph spell, and he can't do that.

Blurr speaks, and then asks a question. "I am pleased that we lost none of ours," he agrees. As or what he's doing out here? "I am a necromancer, and this place is called the Cavern of Death. My particular kind of magic requires experimentation to find the right method for each spell, and here in this place I can study the energy of death itself, to find how best to channel it in this 'Multiverse'."
Blurr     "'Necromancer'?" Blurr has never heard such a term before. The closest he's gotten to that is the Necrobot. He listens, but finds himself confused at the description. Yeah, you lost him at 'magic'. "Eeehhh, okay. Sure....sorry, I just never understood the whole 'magic' thing. Where I come from, the word just meant something you didn't know how it worked so you called it 'magic'."
Ysuran     "I see," Ysuran acknowledges. He gives a moment of thought, emitting a quiet 'hmm...'. Blurr doesn't know what a necromancer is? This seems to surprisehim. But he has a way to explain. Looking at the skeleton before him, he asks of Blurr, "I assume you know what this is?" Indicating the skeleton. "And where it is locaed before it becomes... this?"
Blurr     Blurr peers at the skeleton. "It looks like a human proto-frame," He observes. "That is somehow standing up on its own. I'm guessing you're doing that somehow?"
Ysuran     "..Proto... frame?" Ysuran asks. That's not a term he's familiar with. "What is a... proto... frame?" Looking to the skeleton again, he explains, "This is what is inside a human while they are alive. What I do is... animate the remains of humanlike bodies after they die. That is what a necromancer does-- he specializes in magic related to the dead."
Blurr     "Oh, so you can ressurrect people?" Blurr asks, looking interested. "The protoframe is the basic structure of our bodies that determines its overall shape." He leans over the skeleton, poking at it. "But you can't give them their organs and skin back? That's still pretty cool."
Ysuran     "Not resurrect, unfortunately," Ysuran replies. The skeleton does not react to the poking. In doesn't appear to have even felt it, aside from whatever actual physical effect the poking might have had. It doesn't even seem to acknowledge Blurr at all. Ysuran does though, and continues, "Reanimate. This woman, unfortunately, is still dead and her soul is wherever it went to after her death." He motions to the skeleton when he mentions 'this woman'. Apparently it was a female at one time. "It is more than I direct the physical remains themselves to serve me. And yes, that sounds... invasive. It is, and many necromancers use this ability to cause great harm. I do not."
Blurr     "Oooh!" Blurr nods in understanding. "So kind of like turning someone's dead body in to a drone." That's something a lot more familiar to him. "Heh, used to happen all the time, back when Cybertron wasn't a dead husk." he comments. "And we were running out of energon so we had to recycle as much as possible. Though, more often than not, they just gave the bodies to other people who wanted new ones."
Ysuran     Ysuran blinks, seeming surprised. He understands the meaning of the word 'drone', and nods. "Yes, that is a fairly appropriate means of describing it," he agrees. "Very few cultures that I have come across have had any sort of approximation to my particular... vocation. It is generally not well-though-of. But, as you say, when resources are scarce and there is nothing around one but the dead, one uses what one must."
Blurr     "Oh, I definitely agree." Blurr nods. "I mean, I know all about the scarce resource thing." He pauses, flicking casually at a large stalagcite that hangs from the ceiling. Part of if breaks off and falls to the floor. "So what's your name? I don't think I caught it last time we met. I'm Blurr."
Ysuran     Ysuran sidesteps from the falling stalactite; it may not be too large, but he isn't as big as Blurr, and it's possible it could injure him if it hits him. He doesn't complain though-- working around Dorn Redbear was somewhat similar, particularly when the big, burly barbarian of a human man was drunk.

"It is good to meet you again, Blurr," he offers. With a polite nod of his head, he offers, "I am Ysuran." He pronounces it 'EE-surr-on', though there's a very strange lilt to his voice. He doesn't quite roll the 'r' sound, but he almost does.
Blurr     "You too." Blurr smiles amiably. "Whoops, sorry about that." he apologizes when the stalacite almost hits him. Sometimes it's hard to avoid making a mess of things when you are so much larger than most of everyone else around you. Ysuran. What a weird name. But again, no surprise. "Well, I'd better get back to base. My team's expecting me. It was good talking to you, uh, Ysuran." FWISH! Off he goes, in a blur of motion. Seems he wasn't named 'Blurr' for no reason. Yeah, a lot of Cybertronian names do tend to be rather literal in nature...
