Kyra Hyral     Deep within the whirling gears of Techno Urbanian seemed like the best place to start testing out the proposal and adaptor that Kotone possessed with Galiandan magitechnology. It gave a lot of room and relative privacy plus it didn't put any Union buildings in danger. Not that Kyra thought any of their surroundings would be in danger from this pretty basic testing.

But Kyra can never be too sure! Part of her kind of hopes something does explode. That would make things exciting.

She waits, pacing back and forth, occasionally checking her phone, for Kotone to show up.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa didn't think it should be too harmless. Kotone's come along carying a brief case carring some jacking gear and a few other things. She seems otherwise much as she normally is the deatched sleeved vest with the hoodie, cargo pants and everything else. She seems very chipper, she's also looking pretty good too she seems to have taken well to her upgrades.

"Kyra! Hey good to see you!"
Kyra Hyral     "Hey! You're in a good mood today." Truth be told, Kyra's also in a pretty good mood because she found an AWESOME BIKE last night. Now if she could only arrange to get it to come outside the Grid, then she'd be in business! But that would be something to address later. "Alright, so, I've got a couple of things here. My mPhone, my mPad, my gun...dunno how it would interface with my gun though." On 'gun', Kyra pulls out what looks like a pretty standard, if slightly fancier because FINAL FANTASY, YO, handgun.

"But it all runs on Galiandan physics. I've been studying the differences and the biggest one is that all of the power to do stuff comes right from here." She taps her chest. "Even on the guns. It fires because I make it fire with magic particles, not because I pull a trigger which hits a hammer to the back of a bullet that triggers a detonation, propelling the bullet along the length of a barrel. But I guess the biggest problem from this means that batteries aren't a thing. We just haven't figured out how to make a non-organic thing hold a charge of MP."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa grins at Kyra

"I had a fairly good week what can I say, the insurance money cleared, repairs are started on my home and garage. Thouhg I may be living out of my ship at this point."

She follows after her friend thinking about the various bits of magitech before her.

"You know this would make some people's heads hurt on my world. Heaven help you if you were in the South of the Empire of America."

She looks for a moment longer as she listens she nods for a moment.

"I think I get it, so you never had to worry about a portable power supply for a lot og things, humm? Let me see the pad and phone I need to get a look at the cable slots."
Kyra Hyral     "It'd be kind of cool, actually, living out of a spaceship. You could go anywhere in the multiverse and still have your home RIGHT THERE. That would be totally awesome." Kyra seems excited at the very idea. "Actually isn't that how those people from the Flotilla live? Maybe you could get some tips from them!"

Kyra passes over the mPad first. Galiandan technology being what it is, there are a few cable slots that look like they might be for USB-type devices. Mini USB ports in fact. There is even a little slot in there for a micro SD card. None of the slots seem to be for where one would plug in a charging cable, though even if USBs and charging ports are one and the same in some places.

"Some worlds have stuff that make my head hurt." Kyra admits. "I'll never get over those Bomb-suns. That seems really dangerous. And...well, it's kind of good and bad. A person's MP only really replenishes when it's not being drained. Best way to do that is rest. Also the more complicated stuff drains MP really quickly, such as some of the bigger summon matrixes so a Hume can't just make their stuff function all the time. They have to rest."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks at Kyra for a moment grinning

"That's kinda the point really I might be able to expand it later and hopefully put in an expansion so I can have a proper work shop in there."

She looks for a moment at the pad it looks at the port she takes a moment and opens the case, she's going to be playing this safe for the most part. She pulls out a dummy barrier and move to attach it to the four plugs in the back of her neck. There's a sharp click as it locks into place.

"Need to be careful when jacking into something like this right?"

She'll take an unassuming little plug which has a whireless unit build in nd plug it into the pad.

"So your tech has no real staying power outside of the city plate?"
Kyra Hyral     "'course. Wouldn't want you to get a virus or something. I'm pretty sure my machines are clean though. Besides...if you do get a virus that means I can check to see if the CURE-ALL will fix that." She claps her hands together. "That'd be a GREAT experiment! But it would be bad if it didn't work."

Kyra watches. If the universal adaptor protoabstractum works as intended, Kotone will find that she can dock into the mPad. It's filled with class notes, music, a connection to Mognet, a couple casual games, and reams of scientific papers. It might also feel weird on some level-the MP being supplied to the mPad, keeping its magical circuits functioning, comes directly from Kyra herself.

"Err, not quite. It's got no staying power outside the people. Let's take your spaceship, for example. If that was built with Galiandan tech, then you'd run into a super awful problem of everything, life support systems and all, failing when you went to sleep on it. Or it would fail when you zeroed out your MP-that's a bad place to be, by the way, zeroed out. I've never been there myself but I've seen other people there. Stay there too long and a Hume becomes kind of...unhinged. If you go beyond zeroed, you'll get manaburn and die. But that only happens if its forced by something. Only the most super dangerous prototypes of tech might do that."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I have already had one thing attempt to copy my mind I prefer to keep safe as much as I can."

She's going to look at the protoabstractum given it's basic concep is community it's adapting she does find that the mpad she's totally browins the muisc for now and seems to be talking at this point.

"So your saying your trapped on your world more or less without warp gates. Geeze so your plug your life force into things? Humm so far it seems to be working but..."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra has a lot of music on that mPad. A looooooooooooooooooot. It comes from all sorts of genres from the classic motown band The Moombas to the newer R-pop boy band sensation currently sweeping Ramuh "Five Cids." No relation to King Al-Cid of course. Kyra seems to have made some token effort at organizing all the music she samples from. It looks like there are even some Earth songs on here too, off in their own seperate Extraversal folder.

There's also a seperate folder for all the Mogstep songs she's made, the Hallstep song included. One of the songs is labeled 'Psyber (in progress)'.

"More or less. Space travel has been theorized but nobody's really attempted it yet because it's so dangerous. -wait, it's working? Really? You're connected?" Kyra gets really excited suddenly. "Hey try to upload one of those songs to your brain or something!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is grabbing some of the songs and trying to leave a few of her own in the folder for a moment.

"It's a little spotty but I'm in. This thing however is a conceptual tool. I'm not sure how practical it will be to make more. I have to use my own ressonace to make these things. So maybe this can be more used to help study things I'm getting a bit of interfance bnut so far it's working. Heh we'd been doing space travel for ... about 70 years on my world. We managed to get our moon before even my father was born."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra watches Kotone expectantly, moving around so she can watch the screen of the mPad to see if she can see her messing around in the system. "Your own resonance?" She thinks back to the file on Abstractums that Riva sent her. "Oh, so you'd have to basically be using your Abstractum non-stop if we want to reproduce these adaptors in any meaningful amount. Yeah, that's not practical at all. Do you think it's possible I can take it to Dominic's company and have them study it? Maybe they can find a way to reproduce it without having to basically milk you of resonance."

Kyra gets a little flustered, "Hey, we've gone to our moon! We have a /giant Academy city/ on it! ...of course we built a bridge to it...but still!" She balls her fists and puts her hands on her hips.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "You built a birdge. We had to pass through space, which is full of deadly radation, small bits of matter going at high speeds, temaptures below any thing someone could live through unprotected. I can get you some of the news casts. I think it was one of the most imporant things the old USA did before it collapsed it's a crying shame the launch faclties are in the hands of the Empire. They pretty much waste it now. As for that I could produce I think another one for him to go over. He did try to tank an attack for me. Also our moon is lifeless. Half of it caught in etneral night the other half baked by the sun. Also most stars from what I know are controlled explosions."

She totally put the sun is a mass of incandseant gas on Kyra's player.
Kyra Hyral     "Oh, don't get me wrong, we know how dangerous space is. It's those properties paired with our technology working the way it does forming the reason we really haven't gone there. Besides, there's still a lot of Galianda left for us to explore. So many other mysteries to unlock!" Kotone explains their first moon journey, alluding to the country that did it now being in ruin. She frowns.

"I'm sorry your moon isn't very useful." she offers, spotting Kotone's mischief on her mPad. "Heeeey!" she gives Kotone a playful shove.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Humm there are plans to mine it or even do other thingd with it. Still the lack of it beins easily habitable I think put a damper on our space programs as a whole. Still given the multiverse your world should look into orbital defence even if you need to buy from off world. Last thing you want is a pirate fleet hanging in orbit and just bombarding the planet, right?" She smirks a little and moves to put an image of herself as the background image for now. "Oh what I was upgrading it. "As for America it splintered after the third world wall, part of it allied with my nation and another, part of it stuck it out the other part became the Empire of America. Also I have the strangest urge to Kupo now."
Kyra Hyral     "That...that's a thing that happens to worlds? Really?" Kyra lifts an eyebrow as Kotone speaks of space pirates and orbital attack. "I mean if they did that then maybe Phoenix would rise up and destroy them. But...it's never happened before so...hm."

She sees the image of Kotone appear and frowns again, "That's upgrading, huh." Kyra says skeptically. "Oh, someone's been listening to my music, mwahahaha~" Her...giggle seems to be some kind of combination of a mad scientist cackle and a schoolgirl giggle. Strange.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Yes, it is. I not experianced it but I seen enough news on such, also looked up information. There's multi system nations that have ships that are several thousand meters long or bigger. I heard of one that just gets nuts on their ship sizes. Then there's the stuff with Zwei's world. We had to deal with an old third line armory that could produce enough units to invade a planet. Either way you seem pretty happy and this is working at least, hopefully if I give you the other unit there's just one problem the design is for a cyber brain jack as it stands."
Kyra Hyral     "That's /crazy/. We need to prepare somehow. Galianda isn't aligned to either of those superfactions so we can't rely on their aid if someone invades like that." Or worse, if one of the superfactions invades like that. "I-oh, yeah, this is pretty great. I'm so glad there's something that can finally move between our systems. Hopefully we can reproduce it somehow." Kyra holds out her hand, expecting Kotone to return her mPad.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Sounds like you do, I'm not saying if you got people up to an attacking fleet you'd be helpless. Being prepared enough to make your world not look like easy meat would save you a fair bit of trouble. I think you'll be fine I hear Prince Al Cid is pretty with it, right?" She does however hand back the Mpad now. "So you never seen the night life in New Port, or Vancouver have you?"
Kyra Hyral     "Well...we're not helpless. We've got militaries and stuff like that." Kyra points out, reassured by Landon's words over the radio. "Anyone that invades Galianda would not have a fun time. Yeah, the Prince is pretty on top of things." She grins at the thought for a moment before continuing, accepting the mPad and putting it back into her backpack. "Uhh...nope, never been to either of those places."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I admit my world's lacking somewhat, in a moment of sanity my world outlawed orbital weaponry before the unification there's lot of debat about what to do but there are ground based defences going up so far as I'm aware of. As for that then we need to change that. Both cities have amazing night lives though the beer's better in Vancouver."

Canadian bias anyone? YES
Kyra Hyral     Canada bias indeed. Kyra's not unaware of what Canada is by now...but beyond knowing that it's some country on Earth? That's about it. "Heh, we should, shouldn't we? I'm not that into beer, but..." More like she's underaged and can't drink. "I'd be down for it. Heck, we could get a couple of other people to come."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks a bit sheepish.

"Canadian have a thing abou htier beer, don't mind me force of habit really. Oh that could be fun I know some great clubs, and other places to check out in the city. Though Vancouver is the more diverse cultrally not to say New Port is bad at all it's just different in that respect."
Kyra Hyral     "I haven't been to either so it doesn't matter which one we'd end up going to." Kyra shrugs. "Would this be a now thing or a later thing? You know, like a Syndicate bonding thing maybe?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "I'm thinking something later a night out some fun a chance for everyone ro relax really." She grins as she moves ot pull the plug out, and moves to take the dummy barrier off her neck.
