Scene #1859: GoGo-ing to Equestria!

Twilight Sparkle	As GoGo talks to her bike, she might notice a hot air balloon floating toward the tower. A cute pastel purple balloon with pink stars and a woven reed basket carrying...yep, there she is. Twilight Sparkle. The cutest little purple unicorn one has ever seen. Her mane is flowing in the wind as she nears Stark Tower, and...seems to be moving against the wind. That might be explained by the magical purple glow of Twilight's horn and the magical sparkles flowing from the balloon. The balloon makes its way over to the tower then floats down to the landing pad gently. Twilight raises a foreleg to give a friendly wave. "Hello!"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago stares at the balloon... Then at the pony. Then at the balloon, then back to the pony. Saddlely, the balloon is NOT a pony, but it could smell like one with Old Spice. As for GoGo, she rubs her eyes. "I can't believe what I'm seeing."
Rarity	"Oh, are we there now?" Rarity sits up, taking off her sunglasses and adjusting her designer travel hat. The one that's tied on with a scarf so it doesn't get blown away by the balloon traveling, of course. It also keeps her mane in order as she peeks over the edge of the basket. "I still say the tower looks like Stark was trying to make a castle in middle of a city. Does it still have his name on it somewhere?" She leans a bit to one side, but can't see off the roof from where the landing pad is.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight Sparkle giggles softly as GoGo stares. She motions for GoGo to come over. "Did you want to visit Equestria?" she asks GoGo after letting her stare a few moments. Then, Rarity speaks up and Twilight looks over as well. "Yes, I saw it when we were flying in." With that, a little door opens on the basket, allowing GoGo to enter. Once she is inside, the balloon starts to float away again. "So, as I mentioned on the radio, I am Twilight Sparkle, and this is Rarity. We are from Equestria!" Twilight explains cheerfully as they float through warp gates.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago mumbles into her subvocal microphone, and nods. "Nice to meet you." she says. "I'm GoGo, the fastest thing alive. Uh... Is that balloon going to be able to hold all three of us?" she asks, walking over and looking down at the two fluffy ponies."
Rarity	Rarity scoots a bit to the back so the human has room. "It can hold a whole group of ponies, we'll be fiiiine." She then leans over to whisper to Twilight "We will be fine, right?"
Twilight Sparkle	"Certainly, Gogo!" Twilight replies, smiling. "I am able to expand and contract the air inside the balloon, and even if I am somehow incapacitated, the helium in the balloon makes it quite manageable for even someone without magic." After the explanation, Twilight motions again with a forehoof. "I promise, it is very safe. As Rarity said, it can carry an entire group of ponies. Two ponies and a mid-sized human should be easily manageable." she says.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago nods and climbs in. "You know, where I come from we've got a cartoon about... Well, sort of about you. Except all the ponies are guys. I think... there were like half a dozen female ponies in the show, tops." she says, shaking her head. "This is too weird. But alright. Off to the land of ponies we go."
Rarity	Rarity turns and leans over the edge of the basket a bit to thrust out one forehoof damatically. "Onward, to Equestria!"
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight blinks in surprise at GoGo. "Really? That seems unusual. A species usually maintains at a roughly 50/50 division between male and female." Twilight says, then giggles at Rarity before thrusting a forehoof out herself. "To Equestria!" And, a few warpgates later, they are in Equestria, floating right down in front of the Books and Branches library. Ponies of all shapes and sizes, though none particularly tall, are trotting about handle their daily business. Several glance over as the balloon lands, and many wave a friendly greeting toward Twilight and Rarity and their new friend.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago hops out of the basket and looks around. "This isn't so bad... It's... WOW That's really bright." she says, popping her gum noisily. Then a pair of workers trot by carrying a window pane, and GoGo catches her reflection. She's... Muzzle. Mane. TAIL! "AHHHHHH!" she screams, and starts running around. It seems her supersuit's still working, because it doesn't even take her half a second to run into the side of a building with a wince-inducing THUD. "I'm a pony." she mumbles as little Twilight's and Rarity's orbit her head.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight is a bit surprised when GoGo just hops out without even realizing she is a pony. Then, she lets out a little 'eek!' as GoGo goes screaming into the side of a building. Luckily one of the sturdier buildings, so she doesn't crash through the wall. Twilight quickly hops out of the balloon and makes her way quickly to GoGo. "Are you alright?" she asks, concerned. She helps GoGo up, then smiles gently. "This is Ponyville in Equestria. Welcome!"
Rarity	As the balloon is first passing over the orchard outside of the town an orange pony in a cowboy hat can be seen picking up dead branches fallen from the trees during winter. When she notices the balloon passing over Applejack takes her hat off and waves at it, but then gets back to work. Rarity... just sighs a little as pony-Gogo has a bit of a freak out. Good thing the library is a big solid oak to run into and not hurt it. "Yes, that does happen sometimes. Fret not dahling, it is just temporary." Right on cue the bush GoGo collapsed next to pops a very pink pony out of it. Followed by a "GAAAAAAAASP!" and she bolts from the bush in the opposite direction.... only to some how end up standing behind Twilight and Rarity on the other side. "A new person! You didn't tell me you were bringing a new person! But that's okay, we'll have a welcome party anyways. Starting with the welcome dance!" She grabs Rarity by the forehooves and twirls around a few times. Uuuugh. "Pinkie Pie, please... you're going to make me dizzy... after flying."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago gets up... "This is... I don't even know how I'm walking like this." she says as she takes a few experimental steps. chew. chew. chew. pop "At least my gum made it through alright." she says, looking up to the brilliantly PINK pony. "Am I missing something? Is it someone's birthday today?" she asks Twilight as Pinkie spins Rarity around like a top.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight binks as Pinkie appears and begins spinning Rarity. "No. That is Pinkie Pie. She is very enthusiastic about new ponies because they could become new friends. Pinkie loves making new friends." Twilight says as she watches Pinkie. Then, she looks at GoGo again. "Oh, yes, most items possessed by those who are changed by our magic field are changed in the process, enabling them to be used by ponies.
Rarity	Pinkie Pie lets go of Rarity, and puts one forehoof to her chest as she stands up proudly. "I'm the pony that knows everypony!" She points at Rarity. "She's the pony every pony should know." Rarity oofs on her hindquarters when she's let loose. Huffs into her curled forelocks slightly. "Don't mind Pinkie Pie. She's just... Pinkie Pie." Whom which poings over to grab Gogo in a big hug. "What they said. NEW FRIENDSHIP HUGGING POWERS ACTIVATE~" "Very... eccentric." Is about all Rarity can surmise it as.
Guest Dash	"And I'm the pony that everyone should know is awesome!" Comes a cocky, proud, tomboyish voice from somewhere overhead. Hovering just over the groups heads is a cerulean colored pony, about as pastel and bright as the others. Her mane and tail haven't decided on what color TO be, so they ended up being every color of the rainbow. Literally every color of the rainbow. She has a more athletic physique than the others though, and twin wings beat a steady, almost effortless pattern to keep her aloft. She's also wearing what looks to be an athletic band around her forehead and on the bases of her wings. One forehoof is curled around a bottle of water. "Saw the hot air balloon and thought I'd drop by! Name's Rainbow Dash!"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo is hugged, very tightly, by a pretty pink party pony, and acks. She awkwardly hugs back, making sure she doesn't choke on her own gum. That would be the most ignominious demise ever, downed by her own gum. "So... Pinkie, right. You know every pony. And Rarity should be known by every pony. Hi Rarity." she says again, her eyes a little @_@ from the lack of oxygen. "I hope Fred NEVER finds this place." she smutters to herself, loosening her throat from the Pinkie Pie Death Grip hug (tm). "So who's this 'Rainbow...'" and then she arrives "'Dash'... Hey. Nice dye job. Does the fashionista do it for you?" she asks, without a trace of malice or snark. She's an Earth Pony http://derpiboo.ru/840848 with a wheel for a cutie mark. She's got an incredibly athletic build, lean and tough... With a couple of what appear to be wheels hovering next to her hooves. "Hi there. Guess you're the fast one I was hearing about."
Rarity	"As if I would do such a dying that would be left in such.. such... disheveled unkempt.." Rarity runs out of words, so she just waves her hooves at Rainbow Dash a few times erratically as if to demonstrate.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight brightens a bit with each friend that appears. Then, giggles at Rarity's response to GoGo. "Rainbow Dash's mane and tail are naturally that color." Twilight says. And, as she is saying that, a little purple and green dragon, less than half the size of the ponies GoGo is speaking to, waddles his way over and hops up onto Twilight's back. "Heya! I'm Spike, the best assistance a pony can have!" he says, then gets ruffled gently by Twilight. "He is!" Twilight says, then motions toward the large tree. "I am the librarian at the Books and Branches library, so a good assistant is a necessity."
Guest Dash	Rainbow Dash rolls her eyes, ears swiveling back slightly amongst that mess of hair she calls a mane. "Whoa, dye job? As if I'd get a dye job! And dye don't neearly look as cool as I do. Nope!" She lifts her head proudly, the colors of her mane briefly mingling and then seperating into different streaks once again. "These are all natural!" Yeah, she gets that question a lot. Then the cocky grin returns, growing wider. "So you heard of me? I /guess/ you could call me fast..." Wait, what? Rainbow being modest? Then the pegasus flicks her wings, and where she was there's only a blur of color, speeding around the group. In the next blink of an eye, she's hovering right back where she was. "Buuut that'd be like calling lightning slow." Nope, no modesty here.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo seems glad that there's at LEAST a library. "So do you guys have any... Technology around here?" she asks, looking around. "Pardon my saying so, but everything looks so... Saccharine and pastoral. It's... Does any actually happen here?" she asks. Oh. Rainbow Dash. Oh no you just didn't. "Yeah, I GUESS you're pretty speedy." she says, hopping up onto her wheels. She flickers out of sight, a sudden wind blowing everypony's mane around... Even Rarity gets an impromptu 'styling' (unless she dodges of course!). "I'd say you might be ONE of the fastest." she says, puffing out her chest. "Of course, where I come from, I'm the fastest." she grins.
Rarity	It's a good thing Rarity is wearing a tiedown hat! Though as both girls do loops around the group she still uses a hoof to hold it on, just to be on the safe side. "Great, they're already posturing."
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight can't help but giggle as the two speedsters square off in shows of pride and confidence. And of course, her mane is left looking almost as cotton candy-like as Pinkie's. "We have very limited technology compared to most other worlds. We use steam and magical engines to power our trains and heavy machinery, but we have yet to develope the computers necessary to run more complicated machines." she explains to GoGo before nodding to Rarity and rolling her eyes in that gentle way. Spike is standing on Twilight's back now. "Woooaaah! Someone as fast as Rainbow Dash? You guys have to have a rainboom contest!" the little dragon says enthusiastically, hopping up and down a bit on Twilight, who oofs softly.
Guest Dash	WHOOSH! Rainbow's mane gets whipped up again, but this time not from her own wind. Dash's eyes grow wide, but not with jealousy or awe. With excitement! "Whoa, you ARE fast! Prooobably not as fast as me," She tacks on, despite sounding /slightly/ impressed. But then the excitement is back. "We should totally race some time!" Some time? Well, she does look a little tired actually. She looks like she's been exercising probably for a while at this rate. "Yeah, this Ponyville doesn't have any cool gadgets that other worlds have, but it's pretty awesome too!" Dash flashes a grin, "Bet you've never seen a liquid rainbow flow!
Rarity	"And somewhere you two don't tear the town apart in the process," Rarity remarks flatly. "Go race around your gourge or whatever it was called sometime."
GoGo Tomago	"Couple of questions. What's a rainboom? What's a liquid rainbow? And can I start modernizing this place? No factories or anything, but importing some clean gadjets could seriously spice things up."
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight Sparkle is delighted that her friends and their new friend are getting along so well. "A Rainboom is short for a Sonic Rainboom. It is a special technique that only Rainbow Dash has displayed the capability to do. Liquid rainbow is what the pegasi sprinkle in the sky to give us rainbows. And...what sort of gadgets did you have in mind? I am sure many ponies would be happy to try out a few gadgets, but most are content with our current technology level. With magic at our disposal and our strengths as ponies, we do not need a lot of technology."
Guest Dash	"Geeze, way to take the awesome out of it, Twilight," Rainbow Dash says. "A Rainboom is only the coolest thing EVER. It's when a sonic boom and a rainbow happens all at once!" She flashes a cocky grin, "And you're looking at the only pony who's done it!" ... In modern history. Details, details. She shrugs at Twilight. "Staren's tried to make us all techno-whatever. His stuff is cool I guess, but we don't really need it."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago laughs and reaches out to slug Rainbow Dash in the shoulder. "You know, you're alright. If you're really as fast as you say you are, I could probably use you to test some of my new gear." she says, before looking to twilight. "well I was thinking a Baymax or two wouldn't go amiss."
Rarity	Rarity cocks her head to the side. "What's a Baymax?... Though yes, for the most part, we don't have a need for extensive machinery when we have magic." But after that Rarity turns her head aside, rubbing her chin thoughtfully with a hoof. "Though I have considered getting one of those small vaccum robots... but I don't think Opal would agree with it very much."
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight blinks at Rainbow Dash and her ears lay back a moment when Rainbow Dash claims she took the awesome out. Twilight also blinks at the mention of a Baymax. Her horn glows softly and...a tablet computer floats out of her saddlebags. She floats the stylus into the air, then starts tacktacking away. "...Baymax...ooooh. It seems to be a personal healthcare robot." Twilight smiles at that. "That is kind of you, but we have the spa for minor aches and pains, and the hospital for major ones. I would not want to displace our current healthcare workers with automated ones." She pauses. "Although...I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask the healthcare workers if they would be interested." She looks at the screen again. "And, our magic field would likely reshape them into pony-shapes."
GoGo Tomago	"Actually, I was thinking that a Baymax would be helpful for those ponies who don't have to stay at the hospital, but still need help. Like say you broke a wing or a leg and needed help doing things while it was healing. It's..." her face screws up with pain and loss for a moment. "It's what he would have wanted."
Guest Dash	Rainbow Dash takes the slug, and only barely gets dislodged out of the sky. She looks excited, though. "Oh yeah? If you need serious speed, then count me in!" Then curiosity kicks in, and Dash flits over to hover behind Twilight so she can look over the unicorn's shoulder. "That's supposed to be some sort of nurse? It looks like a giant kicking bag."
Rarity	Rarity trots over to look for herself, peeking over Twilight's other shoulder. "Well it certainly does look soft." Pinkie Pie pops up behind them all, and giggles. Prods Rarity in the shoulder. "And people think you look like a marshmellow." Rarity rolls her eyes in the other direction. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Twilight Sparkle	"Oh! What a wonderful idea! Care for those still recovering who do not wish to remain in the hospital!" She gives a very meaningful glance toward Rainbow Dash, along with a slight smirk, then looks at GoGo. Twilight's expression goes to one of concern. "Who?" she asks gently.
GoGo Tomago	"And old friend." she says, her voice... oddly flat. "I don't think you really want to hear the whole story. It doesn't fit with how bright and cheerful this place is." she says, forcing a smile. "Sorry. So Rainbow Dash, how fast CAN you go?"
Guest Dash	"As fast as I need to!" Rainbow Dash, despite not being a sentimental pony, catches on quickly for the need to change the subject. And she's probably not wrong; not relying on machines means that adrenaline can push her to crazy heights. "Buuut those scanner things got me flying over mach 1, whatever that is. And that's not even with my armor on!" Only now does Dash touch down, letting her wings rest a bit, "So how fast are you?" It's like they're comparing cars.
Twilight Sparkle	When her friends are done looking at the marshmallow machine called Baymax, Twilight slips her tablet back into her saddlebag. She smiles gently to GoGo. "I would like to hear the story. Often, talking about a painful memory with a friend can help to alleviate that pain. But, we can save that for another time." she says as the two speedsters start talking about racing and stats and other speed-related topics. She isn't a speedster herself, so she can't add much, but she is always happy to see two people becoming fast friends. Spike, though, he is into this kind of thing. "I don't think the gorge would be good for this race. GoGo can't fly. we'd need a race that would be fair for both GoGo and Rainbow." He puts his claws to his chin, thinking on it.
Rarity	"Oh, well in that case." Rarity gets up and turns as if to walk away. "I will get the industrial strength ribbon to tie Rainbow Dash's wings down again." She's probably poking fun at Dash more than actually intending to do it. Maybe.
GoGo Tomago	"Oh don't worry about me. I might not be able to fly, but I make do. As for how fast I go? I once was going fast enough to cut through solid metal through sheer speed." she says. "I can go anywhere I really need to. Besides, what fun is a race across an open field?" Then she looks at Twilight... "It was less than a year ago. His name was Tadashi Hamada, and... He was so kind and gentle. He made Baymax. he didn't make him to make money, or to sell. He made Baymax because he wanted to help people. He put so much of himself into that robot. Tadashi was Hiro's older brother, and he was our best friend. Me. Honey Lemon. Wasabi. Fred. The six of us were real close. Then the fire." she says, her eyes glazing over as she relives it. "Hiro had created these really useful tiny robots and was showing them off. Afterwards, we were all outside getting ready to go. There was a fire... Just... Flames everywhere. Our teacher, Professor Callaghan, was still inside. Tadashi didn't even have to think twice about it, and he just ran right back in." she says, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Then everything just went to pieces. There wasn't even enough of him to bury, really." she sighs. She's obviously not all there, reliving the past... "That's how we got together. After Hiro had his breakdown... Well, we found out who it was. There was just this guy who'd stolen the little bots. Well, long story short, we found out it was Callaghan, who used them to survive the fire, and blamed Tadashi for his own death. Hiro went crazy, ripped out Tadashi's programming and ordered Baymax to kill the Professor. We didn't sign on for that. None of us did. Eventually we talked some sense into him, and we managed to get Callaghan arrested. But it didn't bring Tadashi back, no matter how much Baymax was like him, or how much of Tadashi was in him. Hiro couldn't replace him. Didn't want him to anyways... But it's still... It's so hard, looking at Hiro every day. He looks so much like Tadashi." she sniffles.
Rarity	The sad story even gets Pinkie Pie to stop being quite so perky for a few moments. "Whoa. That's really heavy." But that doesn't last for very long, because Pinkie Pie is quick to poing poing over and give GoGo another hug, comfortingly this time. "But it's a good thing he had friends like you to help him through something like that." It's probably not going to be long before all the Ponies are hugging her, am I right? "Pinkie Pie is right dear. It is certainly a sad thing such to happen, but you must think of the good you and your friends have done rather than the bad of one man."
Guest Dash	"Wow, that, uh..." Even Rainbow Dash is sort of at a loss for words. "Wow, that really sucks." Unlike some other ponies, her first reaction isn't to hug someone. "Buut you kicked this guy's butt, right? Soo you totally avenged him!" She keeps on the bright side of things, or at least trying to. She rubs at the the side of her head after a second. "Yeah, um, sorry."
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight listens to the story, and at the end gives GoGo a big hug. "Losing loved ones is hard. But, as my mother told me, they live on through us. Through our memories of them and the legacies they leave us. And, this Baymax and Hiro are both Tadashi's legacy. He lives on through them, and through you." she says, then smiles. "As for the race, I'm not worried about you being unable to handle a course. I am more worried about Rainbow Dash being...um...a good sport."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago smiles and hugs everyone who offers. "Yeah Dashie. Yeah. We totally avenged his death." she says with a slow smile. "It's just... Still really hard to think about. It hasn't even been a year yet, and every time we go into the lab, we keep expecting him to be there. It's just... Kinda rough sometimes." she says, then grins. "Don't worry. I don't lose, not even to cheaters. Besides, I don't think Rainbow Dash would cheat. 'Cause if she did, I'd win by default."
Staren	Meeting over, Staren decides to pay a visit to Equestria! The so-called 'pony field' has given him the form of a white-coated unicorn with a QT mark of a robot's head. He rounds a building and starts to raise his forehoof to wave and call out when Gogo launches into her story. He stops and listens, ears slowly splaying as she goes on. When she finishes, he levitates a small pair of glasses from his saddlebags, looks through them at Gogo, then levitates them away again. He finally approaches the group, enthusiasm dampened somewhat. "Hey Twilight. Hey Spike. Hey girls." He alternately waves a foreleg and nods in greeting, then walks right up to Twilight to hug and give her an affectionate nuzzle, before stepping back and turning to look at Gogo. "I'm sorry for your loss. I would fix it if I could, but I can't. I'm not good with... this stuff, so..." he looks away and shuffles a hoof awkwardly. Then looks at Gogo again. "So. I see you're tackling the weirdness of the Multiverse head-on. Usually we don't tell people about Equestria right away because we're afraid it would freak them out." He smiles and his ears perk up. "I'm glad to see there are people who can handle it right away, no problem!"
Rarity	Rarity rolls her eyes at that last remark. "Well she knows that -now-." There was that one Running of the Leaves however.... But let's not get into that. Or any time her and Applejack getting going, for that matter. "Perhaps we will get to meet the rest of these friends of yours some time." Pinkie Pie cocks her head a little at Staren, then pfffts and waves a hoof dismissively. "Oh there was plenty of freaking out. She just got over it quickly, that's all. And then I was all GAAAAAASP and then we did new friend welcoming stuff, and then we had a sad but things got better after that!" This is why we don't let Pinkie Pie do the expositions, no one can keep up with it.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago shakes her head a bit. "Anyways... Tadashi would have wanted Baymax here too. Just so he could help out the ponies who needed it."
Staren	Staren looks at Pinkie, then Aaahs and nods after a moment. He may or may not have had to play that back in his head slowed-down.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight nods to GoGo. "Well, we can move a few here, but we do not have an electricity grid, so we may be unable to recharge them." she says in regards to the Baymax before smiling happily to Staren and giving him a tight hug and a nuzzle. "Yes. Luckily, she didn't crash through a wall like Rainbow Dash often does." Twilight says with a smile.
Guest Dash	"Ugh, I cheat one time and it's like I'm some major cheater," Rainbow Dash retorts, rolling her eyes at Rarity and Twilight, "Applejack cheated first /anyway/." She flashes a grin at Gogo, "Hey, I won't cheat if you won't. Buuut I don't think /you'd/ cheat either, so I think we're cool." There's a pause, as something nearby growls. Something nearby, as in in the vicinity of Rainbow Dash's stomach. She grins awkwardly. "Hehehe, guess I forgot to have dinner after my routine. Beeetter go get that!" She flares her wings out again, getting ready to take off. "I'll be at the cafe if you guys wanna join me!" And like a flash, Dash is off!
Rarity	At the mention of dinner Rarity goes wide-eyed at the realization. "Oh my goodness, if it's past dinner time and I wasn't here.... Oh goodness hopefully Sweetie Belle didn't trying to cook anything." The unicorn turns on her hooves and runs off towards her shop/home on the far side of town.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago watches the ponies jog off in multiple directions. "Equestria is... Well. I mean wow. This isn't what I was expecting."
Staren	"It should be possible to prepare magic-to-electricity converters so they can be recharged by unicorns if need be." Staren offers. And then half the ponies here run off! "Um... bye, girls!" he waves again, then looks from Twilight to Gogo. "What /were/ you expecting?" he tilts his head to one side.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago looks to Staren... "Not sure... HEY! You're that guy who took my screwdriver earlier... How's it going... Staren, right?"
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight looks to GoGo, then gives her a smile. "That is a good thing, I hope." she says, then blinks as Staren and GoGo start talking. "Oh, you two have met already?" she asks.
Staren	Staren nods to Twilight, "Briefly. I was visiting New York because I realized I hadn't seen what it was like when /not/ under attack by aliens, and I saw someone flying on a jet bike and decided to check it out." He turns to Gogo. "It was her, delivering a rather unusual pizza to Thor. Kotone was there too, and... upon seeing a cyborg she got a little grabby, so I grabbed her screwdriver for fear she might try to take Kotone apart to see how she worked." His ears splay as he turns back to Twilight. "Seeing it was actually a rather chilling... illustration of how some people see /me/. GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago rubs the back of her head. "I wasn't going to take her apart without her permission. Like I told you, the screwdriver was to test and see if anything had come loose. I know she's a person... I just get a little excited sometimes.
Staren	'I know she's a person, I just get a little excited sometimes.' Staren's ears splay again as he looks to Twilight. "Wow. Is that how /I/ sound?"
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight looks between the two, then just giggles. "Well...a bit." she says, giving Staren a little nuzzle. "But, neither of you should worry about it. However, you should both be more careful about such things. It is easy to create a bad impression with such things." she says, smiling to both.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago sighs... "So what'd I do wrong?" she asks, sitting down as a pony can and looking at Staren.
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight considers that a moment. "Well...I would imagine it is like if someone approached you with a very large syringe. Even a trained medical professional who is supposed to be giving you a shot could easily provoke anxiety. A person you have never met who is not performing a consented medical treatment would be rather scary."
Staren	Staren leans against Twilight for a moment, staring at the ground thoughtfully. Then he lays down on all fours, quadruped style, across from Tamago. "When you started pawing at Kotone, my first thought was 'Oh man, if she realizes I uploaded myself into a robot body and starts grabbing at me I'm gonna feel /super/ uncomfortable. It was enlightening." He tilts his head one way, then the other in thought. "My second thought was 'Oh dear, is that how robotic elites feel around /me/. It's not been a problem lately, but in earlier years I... /did/ want to study the bodies of some folks. Of course, I'd /never/ study them without their permission and willing participation, but... I can see now how people might have an immediate, visceral reaction that... prevents them from spending time thinking about how I'd act, that would be required to realize, really understand, that I truly have no desire to take them apart and disregard their personhood. Identifying the problem is as far as I've gotten, though... working out what to do, I guess that's the next step." Staren glances to Twilight. "I was just thinking about the doctor analogy, but I've never heard a doctor say 'Oh wow, how does your body work? I want to see!'" He stares off into space in thought.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago muses on that for a bit. "Alright, I can see where that would be pretty creepy and unwanted." she says, nodding her head. "I'll woman up and say that yeah, I goofed and I shouldn't have been pawing at her like that. If you'd like me to do maintenance on you sometime." she says, getting out a card. "here's my card. References and certifications on the back."
Staren	Staren looks at Tamago and grins. "Thanks, but I prefer to do my own work on my stuff." An electric-blue aura forms around the card, levitates it in front of his face for a quick read, then stuffs it in his saddlebag. He sighs. "Yeah, I guess an important step is admitting when we've made mistakes. I..." he winces. "Whoo boy, I've made a lot of mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised if I've made a bunch already just while talking to you. Probably nothing major though, or you'd have said something."
Twilight Sparkle	Twilight Sparkle smiles happily as the two start talking. "It seems you may have another friend, Staren." she says. "And, I think GoGo was just trying to ask in a roundabout way if she could see your robot's inner workings. She is obviously a technology enthusiast. I am sure you two would have plenty to discuss."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago grins. "Oh you better believe it." she says, snapping her gum. "I don't look it, but I'm tops in my class."
Staren	Staren smiles. "Ah, I see." He tilts his head. "Well... I'll think about it. We've only just met, but there's some stuff that's practically public information. Do you have a computer to send information to?" He tilts his head the other way. "What's your area of expertise? I started out specializing in combat robotics -- think more of piloted mecha or powerarmor than drones, though -- but since coming out to the Multiverse I've branched out quite a bit to study all manner of things."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago nods and smiles a bit. "I specialize in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Tech. I've got a broad range of study though."
Staren	Staren nods. "I see... well." He sits up. "Is there anything you want to know, about the Multiverse or my tech?"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago shrugs a little. "The Multiverse mostly! We've been spending so much time getting settled in that we haven't had much time to learn about anyone else."
Staren	Staren nods, lifts a forehoof to rub the back of his neck. Equestrian ponies are far more flexible than Earth equines, it's clear. "Well I meant... any /specific/ questions? It's hard for me to... just summarize everything there is to know, you know? There's so much!"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago thinks for a while. "Why don't we start with moving between worlds. Hero Jurisdiction. Etiquette for crossing into other places. Things like that."
Staren	Staren considers this, tapping a forehoof against his chin gently. "Travel between worlds, as you've seen, is generally done via the warpgates. Some warpgates seem to appear naturally, but it is possible to construct artificial ones as well. Other than that, interworld travel may be possible with powerful teleportation or gate devices or the like, but that's pretty rare. Hero jurisdiction... Umm... Some worlds may care about that, and you'd have to ask there specifically. In general, though? If you hear a cry for help on the radio, noone's going to complain to you for saving them. Likewise, crossing into other places... in general, it's not a problem -- most worlds are aware of the Multiverse, so there's no problem. Some worlds may be wary of the superfactions, or have a specific allegiance that doesn't want you there... other worlds, the Multiverse is being kept a secret from, and local elites won't appreciate you giving it away. Generally, you'll hear about such situations before getting into them." Staren hmms.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago nods and takes a few notes. "Alright... I suppose that makes sense. Are there any worlds I know about where technology doesn't work?
Staren	Staren blinks. "A world that actually supresses technology with its physical laws? I don't think I've heard of such a thing. Of course, you may sometimes travel to places where you can't get a radio signal."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago nods... "Huh. Alright. Hopefully we won't find any of those, huh?"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago shakes her head. "I just don't want places where common people can change the laws of physics without warning."
Staren	Staren shrugs. "If we found a world that actually had such a physical law, studying it would be /fascinating/. Who knows what secrets we might find?" Staren hmms. "Well... you never know. Some people might break your stuff with hacking skills. Mages could hold you in place with a gravity spell... Depends on what you mean by 'change the laws of physics'.
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago nods... "Fascnating, yeah. But... I guess I'm just not used to the high-potency reality warpers. Wizards are fiction to my world."
Staren	Staren blinks. He pulls a tech-looking staff out of his saddlebag that was clearly too big to fit inside, again with telekinesis, then pulls it to an outheld hoof. He looks like he's going to do something, then shakes his head. "I probably shouldn't demonstrate anything too flashy in the middle of town, actually. ...Do you want to learn magic yourself?"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago eyes Staren a bit. "I... don't really know if I can. Magic's no really a THING in my world."
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago shakes her head a bit. "Maaybe once I've settled in with the others though It's nice of you to offer."
Staren	Staren shrugs at that. He puts the staff away. "Anything else I can help with?"
GoGo Tomago	GoGo Tomago thinks... "So how familiar would you say you are with this... Magic stuff?" she asks, gesuring at the staff.
Staren	Staren shrugs. "This... I can't actually cast spells, as such. In order to learn about magic, I learned how to brew potions and animate golems."
