Jazz An old building sits off the many streets that has been refurbished for local entertainment. They have a bar & grill on the upper level, including a location for those to eat who may want some peace and quiet, the ground floor is loads of arcade games and down in the basement, well, that is dance central down there. Though the DJ music is pumped through the whole building.

There is even an elevator that can take people up and down if they don't feel like using the steps. The place has a bit of the 80s, 90s vibe to it, with the lights and such, and has Arcade games that range from the old wooden cabinet classics, to the more modern VR simulators.

Even at the counter there is away to buy a game card that allows you to have hours to play unlimited gaming, or you can just put points on it.

However what got everyone watching is over at the Multiverse version of DDR. There is some crazy partial African American working the machine using both pads to a high step dance move, including timing the steps to spin, clap his hands, and even use the back bar in part of the moves.

His jacket is resting against shelf of the DDR cabinet, along with his blue mirror shades. Looks like he is on the second song...
Yunomi Stadler     The Universal Language is Music and Dance. And sometimes, it does to forget about the world of a while and let loose with some dancing and singing.

Which is why as the guy with the mirror shades is rocking the machine, someone puts down a shiny blue-and-red token with a dragon on it as 'next in line' on the monitor, then stands back and watches. She's a short girl, early twenties maybe, the red and blue of her bangs catching in the prismatic lights of the machine. SHe wore a baseball cap, turned backwards to keep her hair out of her face, and the cuffs of her cargo pants were a little ragged in the back. She gives a bit of a grin as she sits back, critiquing his moves in her mind, keeping a mild smile on her face, taking off her hoodie and holding it, folded over her arms as she watched and took in the sights.
Jazz The African American continues his moves through and gets an A on it. On the third song he does a bit better, only taking a casual glance over with those striking blue eyes as a young lady lays down the 'I'm next' coin. He doesn't have much to examine who she is or anything about her, as his attention is focused more on the steps at hand.

His feet work is swift and precise across the two pads with a bit of his own style and grace. When he can do his own little twirl or get a move in, he takes the chance too. Almost seeming like one of those Champion shop pros that are maybe not such a common place any more in the open public.

On the song is over, he hops off with a three way A score and gives a bow to the crowd, before he motions to the young lady he laid down her coin. "All yours." He says with a bit of an accent as he stretches his arms and legs for that moment.

He wasn't going any where and didn't seem to be in a rush to grab up his jacket or shades. Instead he ends up taking residence nearby with his arms crossed and head canted to the side. Waiting to see what the challenger has for him.
Yunomi Stadler     "Thanks." she gives a cheeky grin, and ascends to the board, siping her card, and pocketing her coin.

She swipes the card, and hangs her jacket over the back. She taps down to 'Heavy', but kindly only uses one pad. First song? "Break Down!" Clearly a 'vintage' lover.

The song kicks on, and the girl shakes out her limbs. shrugging her shoulders and giving a smile at the black dude with the accent.

But when the moves start in, her feet are flying. her arms to the side as she balances. But she's not only dancing.

    She's singing along!

"One! Two! One two three four!"

"These days you've crossed the line, Who cares 'bout RULEs you have in mind- I'm gonna break out of this world And fly high to the skies!~" she sings in Japanese, on tune. She moves around, the pad, and then as the instrumental bridge comes in, she turns, looking over her shoulder, and works through the second choros and towards the end, reversed!
Yunomi Stadler     And as the song ends, she keeps one foot on the back pad, and then arches her back and puts a hand down on the front pad, showing off flexibility, to some cheering of gamers around.
Jazz The possible 'pro' smirks as Yunomi shows off her moves and her singing voice. He watches every step she is taking, the motions of those steps, her placement and listening to her voice as well. One the first song ends and she shows off her skills a bit in the flexibility department, he claps his hands with the crowd.

Though once it time to select the next song, he crosses his arms over his chest once more to continue to watch that display, though he does speak up to her as she goes to make her selection. "Nicely done. Ya got some impressive moves, why dun ya kick the steps up a notch, do well... an' I'll buy you a drink." He says with a soft smile.
Yunomi Stadler     "Careful, the last guy who offered to buy me drinks regretted it." Yunomi teases, and she glances at the machine, and pops another swipe of her card. Double pads.

And Yunomi spins through the songs, reaching another one of her favorites -- DAM DARIRAM!

This time there's not a lot of singing along, she's watching the screen, but her feet fly, arms out .

She drops down, using her feet and steadying on one hand, using her other to hit the back buttom as she moves. She's giving a bit of a grin. She handstands the last beat, on one hand, and drops down backwards as she takes a deep breath. The letters spin, giving her an AA rating!

"WOW! You're some kinda hero!" the announcer croons, and Yunomi turns, catching her breath, to Jazz with a grin on her face. "HOw's that, hotshot?"
Jazz The man smirked as he watches her move and then applauds her with the crowd who has been watching and places out his hands, "Pretty sweet moves. Ya got my attention, haha." He snatches up his shades and places them on top of the bandanna and then swings the jacket around to rest it over his shoulder being held there by his index finger.

"An' I ain't worried about buyin' anyone a drink who can show me up." He says with a playful wink. "Ya deserved it." He'll lead her to the steps once she catches her breath and tilts his head slightly. "So who am I buyin' for, if ya dun mind sharin' your name, with a hotshot." A playful smirk finds the corner of his lips as he starts to head for the steps that goes up the bar & grill.
Yunomi Stadler     "Yunomi, Yunomi Stadler. Yeah, I know, weird combonation. IT's a long story." she begins, and she grabs her sweatshirt. "And which hotshot am I addressing?" she inquires, eyebros rising as she looks him over a moment. "And I've gotta admit, your moves were pretty inhuman. You're a regular machine on the pads."
Jazz As Yunomi addresses herself and he goes to step up the first flight of stairs, she makes her comment about his inhuman steps and machine on the pad. He pauses and glances over to her as he leans on the railing. "Inhuman? Machine?" He bows his head in a playful theatrical manner. "You wound me, Yunomi. You wound me so."

He then continues he way up while cracking a big, humored smile. "Though that also could be takein' in great stride too, given dancin' and singin' are two of my favorite activities. Been doin' both for /years/ and including makin' own moves based on some great performers."

"Thriller is still one of my favorite in choreographs... along with Rhythm Nation." Jackson fan much?

Once they get up to the top the man rests his jacket down on the bar and straddles himself up on the bar stool. "As for who I am, well, by those comments, I'm guessin' you already know, huh?" He says with a continued playful smile, before he taps his visor down. "Yo! Bartender! Get wha' ever the pretty lady here likes, place it on my tab."

"You got it Meister, sir."

He then at last extends out his hand to Yunomi, "Pleasure ta meet ya all the same Yunomi. Many people around here know me as Meister as an alias, but Jazz is the real name."
Yunomi Stadler     "Hey! I'm trying to pay you a compliment! It takes a lot of strength and stamina to keep going and flying across /two/ pads!" she points out as she draws up after him.

"Thriller's pretty great, but I'm not one for modern choreography. I tend to listen to throwback music these days, gypsy funk and stuff like that. And World-Fusion music... and... well. I'm a girl with varied tastes."

She follows him up, and at the supposition that she already knows who he is, her lips purse and eyebrows go up, but she doesn't interrupt him. She just smiles at the baretender.

"I'm flying home tonight, I'll just have a Shirley Temple." she replies, and then she leans back a moment, and she taps her fingers against the bartop, and a great, big smile spreads over her face.

"Aaah! So you're the new guy?" she inquires, leaning forward and paying close attention, trying to find 'not enough human' in his movements.
Jazz "Aww, you sayin' I could have played ya for a bit?" Jazz asks with a grin before he laughs a bit and then rests his cheek against the knuckles of his hands with his elbow on the bar. As she leans in a bit, he raises a brow up past his shades, before he sits up a bit more, still slightly leaning against the bar.

"But thanks for the compliment an' ya pretty good yourself. I gotta admit I'm a bit rusty on the dance pads." He looks out toward the arcade that can be seen from whee they are sitting. "Was kept on tha move tha' this is tha first time in a long time I've been able to just relax." He then looks back over to her, her own reflection in those dark blue mirrored glasses. "As for bein' the new guy, ya got it, at least for tha most part." This is followed by a gentle shrug before he stops leaning on the bar.

His fingers drum a bit on the bar counter as a techno beat plays on the speaks, matching the rhythm of it perfectly, at least for the bit that he does. "So wha' bring ya out here? The music, the video games, or jus' the moment to let it all loose?"

No matter how hard Yunomi may look, its impossible to tell that Jazz is not 'human'. Everything seems to move like it should, even his breathing, though he does look a little bored and also a bit distracted. As if every little motion, every little sound gets his attention in some slight degree. Not like he is on edge, but very observant of everything around him.
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi knows the feeling. She watches how the others move too, out of h abbit -- nervous parent in her past. She gives a wan smile and a shrug. "Like I said, I've been on those pads since I was six. It's a good way to cut loose and burn off some anxious energy." she replies, and she accepts her drink, and leans back against the bar.

"Tonight? ... well. It's been a busy week. We don't have arcades like this where I work, so once in a while I come out and cut loose, play a little pinball, dance a little DDR, and on occasion? I even race go-karts against eleven-year-olds and lose terribly." she laughs.

"So... you out absorbing some of the arcade culture? Just chilling out?"
Jazz Jazz looks back over to her, at he last lifts up his shades and watches as her drink is brought to her. Odd he hasn't ordered anything, but he has a tab here. "Jus' chillin' out. Prime has gone back to handlin' bigger things and leavin' us ta do wha' we do best."

Jazz turns on the bar stool to where his back can rest against the bar. "I also like bein' around people, sometimes wishin' I could be human." He smiles faintly. "So I play the part, act tha part, an' sometimes get inta a bit of trouble." He says with a wink.

"Cause I seriously envy some of ya, bu'... I think that feelin' can sometimes be mutual hm?" A warm smile finds his lips before he looks over at a TV screen, before looking over to her once again with those blues eyes of his. "When is ya flight outta here?"
Yunomi Stadler     "I see." Yunomi replies thoughtfully. She once knew one of the Optimus Primes. ... she's been in the Union long enough that he was her emergency contact in gradeschool. Funny that."Into a little trouble, huh?" Yunomi gives a grin. "Breaking the hearts of the ladies? LEaving without paying the tab? Scribbing some grafitti on the walls?" she inquires conspiritially, "... participating in races?"

"Humans are a pretty facinating species." She agrees. "No other species fragments itself so much, I've found, creates such a wide range of cultures and influences. A good friend of mine once reasoned it was because of their high body temperature and low lifespands." she admits, and gives another shrug.

"Whenever I want. I'm too small to have to register flightplans." Yunomi gives a smile.

And she's thoughtful for a moment. "You /knooow/... there are some fabulous mages in the Union who are master shapeshifters. I bet you if you asked around, you could find someone who'd turn you human for a brief while. I was human for a while, once. Terrible Christmas present
Jazz Jazz glances away as she asks about the trouble he gets into, as she goes down the list his grin only becomes wider, before he looks back over to her. "Wouldn't ya love ta know the trouble I get into, sweet heart." He says with a playful, amused smirk. Doesn't seem he is going to answer it easily either. "And yeah, they are."

The African American looks out across the arcade once more. "...and I know about their differences too, though music tends to be a pretty good binder between culture. Music and dance, nothing like it." He then smiles softly, thoughtfully. "So many different types, it sometimes becomes hard to keep track of them all and I tend to be a bit of a culture nut." Jazz then closes his eyes. "...and I know there is so much more I have yet to see or understand."

Jazz then opens his eyes as he looks at her. "I do agree with your friend though. Humans do have a short lifespan." He frowns a little at that. "So it makes sense in retrospect tha' they would spread out and grow quickly. I mean, frag, to us Cybertronians they date, get married, have kids, an' die in a blink of an eye. So for many of us from Cybertron, they see humans as a race tha' moves /far/ to fast."

Jazz then shakes his head softly, "In truth, to them, we tend to move super slow and maybe we do, but time... time is all prospective anyways," He then shrugs softly. "What is fast to one, may be slow to another, an' its all just figurin' out the balance."

When she brings up the mages he raises a brow and gives her a contemplative look. "Really--and wait..." He then studies her features more closely. "...you ain't human?"
Yunomi Stadler     "Ohh, you've roused my curiosity. That's a dangerous thing, Jazz. I'm a very curious type of creature... it's why I do so well in my field." Yunomi has a Cheshire-cat like grin, and she draws back, and leans against the counter of the bar again.

"This Multiverse is funny, though. People from across universes, across times are thrown together. I wouldn't be ab le to dream up a Dance Dance Revolution game or any of the systems my dad uses at work these days when I was young..."

She gets a sad sort of look, considering the time frame that humans have for existance, a paltry sum measured in decades and odd years. Rarely, in her home, did they live to their seventies. Beriberi, old age, disease claimed them for a place the sun would never again touch.

But she brightens a bit, plucking one of the cherries from her drink. "There's a lot to take in. This... whole building would be three hundred years in my future, had I never unified." Yunomi recounts quietly. "And three hundred years is a /long/ time, cybertronian, human, or not." she replies with a smile, and takes in "No, I'm not human." Yunomi gives a smile. "But I'm not a machine, either."
Jazz "Three hundred..." Jazz says softly. "Three hundred isn't that long..." He sighs softly and rests his head back, those dread locks of his hanging back, pulled by the gravity as he looks up at the ceiling above them, at the colors reflected by the lights. Though when she comments on not being human nor a machine, he looks over at her before he sits up straight and cants his head gently.

A smirk played on his lips as he talks "You know, callin' a cybertronian a machine is kinda insultin'." He motions over to a arcade down below. "That is a machine, something ya control or order around, tha' mindlessly does what its programmed ta do. It can't think for itself an' even if it could, its restricted ta what its been designed ta do."

Then those blue eyes cut over to her, before he turns to face her. "An' I'm no ones machine an' I don't follow by anyone's rules but my own." There was then a dangerous smile on his face. "Just thankfully for ya, those rules coincide with wha' the bots are doin' an' the Union." By the sound in his voice the entire time, he never sound insulted or bothered by her choice of words. Instead there was a tone of amusement and playfulness. Keeping the mood light and in good cheers.

"As for your curiosity." He just leans in slightly, with a smile. "Your jus' goin' ta have ta keep guessin', cause I ain't sayin'." There was a wink before he goes to stand up, and snags his jacket off the bar, before putting it on. "After all, wha' is the fun in jus' givin' it all away on the firs' meetin!"
Yunomi Stadler     "I see your point. I work with machines, with generators and converters. Cybertronians are autonomous robotic organisms. I've worked with a few in my time in the Union. One offered to teach me how to drive." she replies, and she gives a wry smile. "So, my utmost and most sincere apologies on the slip of the tongue." she smiles, and as he leans in, she echoes the movement. And when he quickly goes to stand, she laughs.

"Fair enough. Nice to meet you in any case, Jazz."

And she tosses her red and blue coin at him. "If you ever find yourself in Ravnica, look me up. I can show you all the fun an outside can get in town." she offers.
Jazz Jazz grins, finding himself a little amused by Yunomi, "No offense taken. It's a common thing for people ta do. I think back in my early days I would have been offended but," The African American shrugs his shoulders. "All part of life. When ya dun understand somethin', ya try to find the next best equivalent."

As she tosses him the coin, Jazz snatches it with ease, before rolling it between his finger tips and then flipping it with his thumb before catching it again. He gives her a smile, before he taps down his shades. "I'll keep that in mind, Yunomi an' I'll look ya up. So ya better be ready when I come inta town."

Jazz then makes his way toward the steps as he gives a slight wave motion as he walks. "Catch ya later, kitten!"
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi just gives a smile, and finishes her drink. She gives a wave to the bartender, and makes her way outside, into the night air. The cool was refreshing.

And then she simply rises into the air, pulling a pair of goggles from her bag, and shoots off into the sky, soon lost among the darkness and stars.
