Allenby Beardsley     This Earth, this Earth of the Future Century lies encircled amongst massive, terraformed floating colonies. Had Allenby described it that way and not with the bland number, it no doubt would have been instantly recognizable. The natives referred to the planet itself with all manner of despair-ridden names reflecting the mass deterioration of the land. Cities have crumbled into disrepair, large swathes of land are barren and blasted or frigid and frozen, unihabitable by the humans that still cling-or more likely-are completely trapped on the planet.

For the sake of ease, the area that's been chosen for the fight is a familiar one to those such as Rock who have visited this planet before: it's not all that far from the Warp Gate where Domon Kasshu squared off with Michelo Chariot. But today, there seems to be almost nobody around since, to everyone's knowledge, there are no Gundam Fights going on here today.

Indeed, Allenby seems to be on her own, sitting upon a stack of cement rubble with one leg crossed over the other. Her team isn't in sight and her Gundam isn't in sight-but with a Gundam fighter, that could change at any second.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin takes some time to get there, even via his motorbike. The travelling martial artist had minor difficulties getting here. First he had to get phone reception, then link up to Multiverse GPS, then get directions. Then get lost at a warp gate. Then find his way back again. But eventually he does arrive, the sleek black asian-style bike revving through the destroyed area with some expert handling as he makes his way towards the area.
Eventually, he comes to a halt and then steps off the bike. He's not wearing a helmet, so there's no dramatic reveal. He IS wearing sunglasses, which he pulls down to look around with that red-and-yellow gaze of his. He takes a few moments and then spots Allenby.
"Oooooi!" He waves, "Rules're simple. Five credits for the fight, win and you get 20. I think I can convert to whatever currency you have on hand," He adds, setting down his backpack next to his bike and then taking off the glasses fully and resting them on the seat. He adjusts his suit idly and gives her a bright smile.
Rock Lee Rock Lee uses the tried and true method of ninja travel. He jumps from tree to tree and follows the coordinates according to whatever Multiverse directional standards have been established! Once he's in the world itself, he begins to jump from rooftop to rooftop. He's used to keeping high ground. He looks around, standing on a rooftop, arms crossed. He's silent, he is a ninja after all! The first one he spots is Allenby, but the first one he recognizes is Shin. So he watches this unfold!
Allenby Beardsley     While Allenby waits, she passes her time breaking off small bits of rebar and tossing them across the ground by flicking them with her thumb. By the time Shin rolls up on his bike, Allenby's littered the already littered ground with bits of metal. Hearing the motorbike in the distance, she looks up, already watching Shin as he arrives. She hops off the concrete pile and gives Shin some pretty visible sizing up.

"You're gonna fight dressed like that?" she asks bluntly. "Not sure you get a lotta range of mobility on that but anyway. Hi!" She gives him a casual wave as he approaches. "Oh, huh, I didn't realize that I'd actually get something if I won."

She plucks open a pocket on her vest and pulls out a paper bill. It's folded in half and held between two of her fingers. "Alright, here's your five. How about you come get it?"
Shin Tokuyama     Shin smiles at her and says rather casually, "Actually, I discovered that wearing a leisure suit gives you about the same range of motion as one of those chinese martial arts uniforms. And only slightly less than a japanese gi. Plus the added style," He points out, looking down at the outfit he's wearing and then shrugging, "I'll make due."
"Hello, though," He notes, stopping in his walk towards her. He clasps one fist into his palm and then bows formally, "Shin Tokuyama, Geiha Genkou-Ryu style." He then rises from his bow and adjusts his stance, "Yeah, of course you get something if you win."
When the bill is held out towards him, Shin grins a bit and says, "I would, but the challenger gets the opening attack. That's the rules I go by," He seems pretty pleased to be fighting someone that is clearly pretty powerful. He switches to a martial arts stance, grinning, "So how about you come give it to me personally."
His hands come up into a ready stance.
Allenby Beardsley     "Huh, well, I'll just have to see for myself if that really holds up, won't I?" A light grin graces Allenby's face. "Or else you might tear something and I'm gonna have to laugh at that. Anyway, I'm Allenby Beardsley, Gundam Fighter, yadda yadda. Obviously I'm not going to be fighting you in the Gundam because you don't have one. I can kick your ass just fine on foot too."

As she holds out the bill, Shin would probably notice that she's shifted her feet into a side-facing fighting stance. Allenby keeps the bill held out for a few more seconds before she pulls it back into her hand, folding it again and holding it in her fist. "Let's see if you can get that during the fight, then. If you can, I'll double the price of admission and you'll get ten."

She gives him a cheeky grin before making that first move he offered-the far leg shifts to replace the near one, leading her into an advancing side kick at him. Right away Shin will notice that Allenby is pretty fast, quickly approaching Zwee Fighting fast.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin's own stance shifts when she comes in towards him. He grins a bit and then brings his hand up, trying to track her movements. She's fast, though. He'd have a remark on this, but the phone for his radio is in his bag. So he instead prepares for the incoming attack, taking a step back and bracing his back foot.
The advancing side kick, combined with her speed, hits his hand and he flinches a bit as the impact jars and rattles his entire hand and arm in a very painful and jolting fashion. He grins a bit, "Damn. I'm fighting so many super human people lately. It's kinda nuts, but I love the Multiverse for it."
And then the grip on her foot tightens and he rotates his wrist, trying to do a spinning throw and keep her off balance. A pretty basic throw that tries to use her own weight impacting the ground to do damage inside of a direct strike. He shakes out the hand that caught her foot after doing this, the hand having abrasions on the palm from the sheer force of impact.
Rock Lee "I am not super human, I was simply trained from childhood to be a melee combat specialist in a world where every other ninja has super powers and I do not!" Lee shouts down from the roof.
Allenby Beardsley     "Super human? Nah, more like I've trained pretty much my entire life!" Okay, and SCIENCE but Allenby does not like talking about that and is in fact, forbidden from talking about that. She also speaks casually even with her leg raised high in the air, caught in his hand.

Now anyone with enough balls to catch a kick is probably going to do one of two things Allenby is aware of: push forward to try and dump her on her ass or throw her sideways to dump her on her head. With the full grip he maintains and his sudden shift of weight to take her off balance, she knows what it's going to be.

He'll find she's extremely lightweight. If this were any kind of fight based off of weight classes, this likely wouldn't be a fair one. It's easy for him to swing her around into the throw, which certainly happens, the blue-haired teenager becoming airborne for a few seconds.

Twisting in the air, she manages her fall, guiding herself down with her non-clenched hand into a roll, then into a crouch. There is only maybe a second of time between when she stops and when she comes at him again, this time darting in low with a leg sweep.
Shin Tokuyama     "You're both being humble," Shin comments, stepping back a couple times as his hands come up again, "You're way above the normal opponent I get. I mostly fight weeaboos, drunken salarymen, and otaku for five bucks a pop. Compared to that, it's a huge difference," He notes, getting ready as she comes in again.
The throw, he figured, wouldn't and didn't slow her down much. He wanted a couple seconds to gauge distances and come up with a new strategy to fight her. She darts in towards him again at high speed and he tries a snap reflex. He decides to go for a bit of a riskier move to try to dodge her attack. He jumps and forward flips towards her as the foot goes for a leg sweep.
As he flips, one of his heels comes down in an extended kick, trying to catch his heel on the top of her head after that narrow miss from the leg sweep. If she manages to dodge the hit, though, he's pretty open for a counterattack due to the full-body nature of the move he just executed.
Allenby Beardsley     "Oh. So what you're saying is you've never fought anyone on /your level/ before, have you?" A brief sigh escapes her. "Neither have I." Halfhearted words for what might be a halfhearted attempt to take Shin down. His gambit works, actually, Allenby having misjudged his agility and flexibility. She doesn't get many guys fighting her that can pull off the flippy stuff. Shin will feel his heel impact against the Gundam Fighter's skull.

Allenby grunts and jolts forward, nearly faceplanting into the ground only to catch herself with both hands, the five dollars pressed against the ground. She glances over her shoulder just briefly before using her odd position to mule kick at Shin directly behind her just as he lands on the ground.
Shin Tokuyama     "When you live as a mountain-raised karate hobo, not many people can compete with your kung fu," He notes as he flips, feeling the kick connect. He springs a bit off the impact and tries to land forward on the ground after the attack. His feet hit the ground and he starts to steady himself.
A moment later, however, two feet connect with the square of his back and he goes fly-tumbling forward, rolling a couple times on the ground before skidding to a stop, "Ow." He comments insightfully before pushing himself to his feet.
And then his stance resumes. His right hand is slowly pulled back and fist curled. And then he thrusts the hand forward, "Ryuken!" he shouts. As he does so, there's a burst of ki and a red orb of fiery energy streaks out towards Allenby at a pretty decent clip. If it impacts, it'll slightly explode into energy.
Allenby Beardsley     "You needed a better mountain, then. One with more karate hobos on it." Allenby teases as she scoops up the five dollars from off the ground and slips it back into her fist. There's a grin on her face now as she rights herself, turning to face him fully.

"Hah." she starts bouncing back and forth on her feet energetically, "You don't crumple with one hit, that's /great/. This is a lot more fun-WHOAH!" Fancy ki stuff!! Not entirely unheard of, no, but pretty rare for her to see outside of a Gundam. She reacts as she normally would against any projectile attack-well. Normally she would dodge it but in this case, she throws up both of her arms to block, crossing them in front of her. The orb strikes, pushing her backwards, then explodes, pushing her backwards far enough that she knocks over her original concrete pile in her wake. But also...

...she unwinds her fist and bits of ash fall from her hand, "...whoops. Ha ha, nice one, you really caught me off guard there." Then without warning, a foot slips under a piece of concrete, which she kicks into the air, then strikes with her fist to unleash a spray of concrete gravel at Shin. This, however, turns out to be a diversion, her real attack coming in a dropkick from above.
Shin Tokuyama     "Ha, thanks. It's not something I can do too often yet. My master taught me a couple fancy things before I went on my journey," He explains, shaking off the hand that fired the projectile. He curls and uncurls it testingly. When he's sure the hand is fine from the effort, he lifts it up again and gets ready.
But, you know, nothing can prepare him for when Allenby kicks up a piece of concrete and shatters it. The blinding spray of grey dust is a huge distraction and provides a pretty sturdy smoke screen. Shin blinks his eyes and staggers back a few steps, trying to avoid errant chunks of stone and whatever shards of metal may be left. This means that her dropkick is fully effective.
And when it hits, two feet connect with the center of Shin's chest. He staggers a foot backwards and then slides through the dirt and debris on the ground as he goes, letting out a heavy wheezing noise. He slumps over a bit from the impact, leaning down a bit as he tries to catch his breath. Eventually, he stands back up fully and dusts off the front of his suit, grinning despite the several cracked ribs he likely has.

His hands come up and he takes a slow breath. He has no immediate counter-attack and seems to think, "I can feel it in your fists. Your love of fighting. But there's something else there. An isolation?" He guesses, trying to consider it, "You are strong, though."
Allenby Beardsley     Even for someone who didn't weigh all that much, Allenby can certainly make that impact on Shin a pretty heavy one. Disproportionately so, thanks to the practice she alluded to earlier. She can feel it through her own bones that, for him, she most definitely cracked a rib or two. "Oops." she repeats again once she pushes off from him and lands a few feet away. At this point, she looks slightly unsure and hesitant.

She just met this guy and already she's breaking bones? "Hey, are you alright?" she ventures closer and experimentally pokes him in the ribs, looking down. A doctor she is /not/. When she looks back up at him, she's at least treated to his smiling face, which brings out a smile in turn.

The smile slowly disappears when he mentions her love for fighting. "Actually I...haven't really enjoyed it before. This was fun. It wasn't just a boring, one-sided curbstomp." In fact, she can still feel it on her head where he kicked her. Ow. "I'm not sure what you mean with this isolation thing though. Hmmmmmm. So you were listening to my fists, then?"

The way she asks the question seems to suggest that it's not an alien concept to Allenby.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin isn't lowering his guard, adjusting his footing a little bit and sliding them back and forth. He still thinks she might attack him, but he DOES wince when she pokes him in the side, letting out a discomforted whining noise that has him going, "Nnnn! I'll be fine! I'm used to getting beat up." He at least seems able to weather the injuries.
"You'd probably beat me if we kept going, though. I'm still trying to get stronger where I can," He says seriously, eventually letting his hands fall from a defensive stance and into the pockets and shifting his stance a bit. Despite the smile falling from her face, he keeps beaming at her. Pretty cheery for a dude whose ass she could probably kick, "I'mma get stronger, though. I will. So I'll try to give you more good fights."
He thinks over her question, "Some times. You can sometimes learn a bit about someone from how they fight. You fight earnestly, unreserved and powerful," He explains, his hands in his pockets as he wheezes slightly from the kick she gave him earlier, "I imagine that makes it hard on you. You can't go full out against people, so enjoying a fight is hard. But there was something else I can't put my finger on," He trails off, tilting his head. Then he abruptly says, "I wouldn't mind if we were battle buddies. Fighting friends. Whatever."
Allenby Beardsley     When Shin makes that noise, Allenby makes a face and stops poking. Well, at least he takes his licks like a real fighter would, right? "Probably." she says with a grin. "I can keep going too." It's a fleeting grin because when Allenby is this pensive, she's not smiling. Something seems to be bothering her about what he said. "But I agree, you should get stronger. You've got potential, especially if you can pull off that flippy stuff and the ki blasts. -er, unless that kind of thing is normal for wherever you're from. Like with those Saiyans." Ki blasts, everywhere!

"You know, a lot of people say that here. That you can learn a lot about someone by fighting them." she gestures at the ruined Earth around her. "But I've never heard anything from anyone when fighting before. Kind of. Today felt...different, yeah."

Grinning fiercely, she holds up her fist. "I wouldn't mind that either, especially if it means I get to fight ya again."
Shin Tokuyama     "Naw, I keep hearing about them, but that's not common on my world. My Dragon Fist is pretty rare, even my Master was surprised I learned it," He notes, holding up his hand and flexing it. The same hand he launched it from was the one he channeled Ki through, so it looks a bit beat up and is shaking just slightly. He curls it up into a fist to stop that.
"As for hearing the fist of your opponent? I think it comes to you in moments when you truly love fighting. I always love fighting, so I guess I hear it a bit more," He shrugs slightly, "Sometimes I can be way off, though. So don't take me as gospel word." He grins and rubs under his nose slightly.
When she holds up her fist, he extends his own, bopping it against hers gently, "We'll totally fight again. I promise."
Allenby Beardsley     "Glad to hear there are places out there practicing sensible martial arts." Allenby says semi-sarcastically, probably making a joke at the expense of the Saiyans. Not that they need to know. "Yeah! Well you keep at it."

That deep, pensive look overcomes Allenby again, a slight break in her usual cheerful mood, "That could explain it. When you love something, you want to put your whole spirit into it, right?" But that mood passes.

She fistbumps Shin. "You owe me money, I think. And I hope you enjoyed that fight, ninja boy!" she calls out to Rock Lee.
Shin Tokuyama     "Right, I owe you some cash," Shin agrees with her after they fist bump. He reaches towards his back pocket and pulls out a pretty durable looking wallet. It seems to have about four or five different kinds of currency in it. He pulls out what look like some japanese yen bills, "Here you go. Twenty thousand yen for your victory."
He grins widely and then folds the wallet up and puts it back into his pocket, "You won it fair and square, just like the last Multiversal I fought. He used it to buy some curry for lunch," He jerks a thumb in Rock Lee's direction.
"The fist thing is... pretty much that, yeah," He shrugs and says, "I might be naive, but I feel like you're a good person. And strong."
