Allenby Beardsley     This Earth, this Earth of the Future Century lies encircled amongst massive, terraformed floating colonies. Each one represented the few remaining countries of the world, some far more obviously than others such as Neo America's star-shaped land. The natives referred to the planet itself with all manner of despair-ridden names reflecting the mass deterioration of the land. Cities have crumbled into disrepair, large swathes of land are barren and blasted or frigid and frozen, unihabitable by the humans that still cling to-or more likely-are completely trapped on the planet. Curiously, far closer to the planet itself, below the orbits inhabited by the colonies, is a hexagonal energy field about the equator that resembles the ropes to a boxing ring.

The immediate area outside of the warp gate features one of the Earth's many ravaged cities that, at one point, was once Rome. People still live here, somehow, and are always keenly aware when a Gundam Fight might draw into their area. Though today would not be strictly such a match, word does travel fast, especially when a Gundam Fighter and their whole team is in the area. There are spectators here beyond the dozen or so scientists and technicians. The latter have set up a number of cameras from a variety of different angles from on the ground to atop some of the nearby decrepid buildings.

Allenby awaits, rocking on her heels as she watches the gate. Unlike last time when she fought with Shin, she seems just a little bit more on edge. The Nobel Gundam is nowhere in sight at the moment.
Rock Lee Rock Lee is a ninja, and while many may doubt his ability to do traditionally sneaky ninja things, those doubts are indeed unfounded!

Without warning, the lid of a nearby trash can flies up into the air, a can sitting in front of some old store. Then Rock Lee himself pops out of it, flipping through the air before suddenly landing in front of her, one hand held out, the other behind his man. "I am Rock Lee, and it is an honor to meet you face to face, up close!"
Allenby Beardsley     Allenby was clearly not PAYING ATTENTION TO HER SURROUNDINGS!

"GAH!" She does notice the movement and hear the clatter of the trash can lid so when Rock Lee flips in to land in front of her, she reflexively moves into a fighting stance. After about a moment in which she determines he's not going to be attacking her right away, she relaxes. Slightly.

"Allenby Beardsley." she grins and in that moment, it's like she's completely forgotten about the analyzing stares of her team mere feet away. "The feeling is mutual. I've heard you talking about fighting a lot on that broadband channel so." she holds out her hand, half mimicking his gesture, "You better hold up to the hype!"

Then, quite suddenly, she's in that fighting stance again, "Alright Rock Lee, let's communicate with fists."
Rock Lee "I hope that you really do not have water powers! They are always difficult!" Rock Lee is chivalrous, but the chivalry of a fighter such as him means to never hold back. When she declares that it's time, he doesn't do anything particularly flashy to start, he immediately shifts his stance and thrusts a single fist toward her face. It's aimed forward, but more toward her cheek, as if he's trying to avoid her nose on purpose.

Perhaps he thinks it's rude to try and break someone's nose at the start of a fight?
Allenby Beardsley     Allenby lifts a (blue-haired) eyebrow at Rock. "Sadly I don't 'cause I'm not a ninja." Based on what she's heard him talk about before, that seemed like the easiest explanation.

Then the fun begins in earnest. Normally Allenby's all for making the first strike but today she was curious, perhaps to curious, and likely to her detriment. With no former gauge of Lee's speed, the punch to the face actually catches her quite off guard which means she's unable to fully slip the punch as she normally would. It doesn't become a direct blow on her cheek but the knuckles scrape against it, leaving a red, sore line in their wake.

Allenby spends another moment looking shocked before she launches forward with a similar jab-counterpunch.
Rock Lee "What exactly do you call what you are? Do you train for this from birth, or is it a job that you get paid for?" Lee asks, right before the counter slams into his face. A direct blow that twists his body. But being one with ridiculous fighting instinct, he uses the momentum from the impact of her own punch to spin himself around faster than normal.

His cheek is red as he seems to possibly be in the midst of falling, but instead he was transitioning the impact of her punch into the sudden lift of his heel, moving into a heel kick aimed directly at her -other- cheek.
Cory     Like a moth to flame, the exchange of furious fists is sure to draw attention from the world's other fighters!

So it is that one intrigued Saiyan rockets into the vicinity to take a 'seat.'

Arms folded, tail twitching idly in the sky, gi ruffling in the wind and a glorious exuberant grin on her face.
Allenby Beardsley     "I am a Gundam Fighter!" Allenby calls out with maybe a bit more pride she expected. She might look back on this moment in confusion later when the fighting spirit within her wasn't being actively stirred. "Kinda and no!" she answers the other two questions in turn.

Right after the punch, Allenby is moving-always moving now, actually. She could see in his movements that he was already recovering but the precise method of recovery?

The spinning heel kick is entirely unexpected and makes full impact this time squarely across the teenager's cheek. The force behind the kick sends her flying between a set of spectators, into one of the surrounding buildings. It would have been an unpleasant impact if Allenby was not able to twist herself in midair to strike the wall with her feet. The force of the impact leaves a cracked crater in the wall.

The cracking deepens a split second later when she pushes off the wall so she can fly straight back at Lee, the momentum added to the incoming right-handed punch at the ninja.
Rock Lee Lee didn't -quite- expect that, at that speed. He has enough time to bend -all- the way back. He bends his knees back perfectly, having a ridiculous amount of core strength. But it wasn't -enough-, and he finds his jaw rocked and sending him rolling across the ground under her. "You are fast, it is difficult to adapt to your movements, because you do not fight in an orthodox manner, just like me! It is not easy to predict what you will do or how strong or fast it will be."

He rolls over and pushes himself back up to face her, rubbing his jaw. "We should go eat curry after this!" he suggests, apparently allowing her a moment to catch her breath.
Allenby Beardsley     Allenby says something in Swedish in a surprised tone that is probably a swear. She skids to a stop behind him, her momentum carrying her farther than she would have liked since there wasn't a fully landed punch to stop her like she had been planning.

"And I've never seen a guy bend like that before!" she exclaims with a wild hand gesture. "It's the sit-ups, right? You do a thousand sit-ups a day along with those push-ups?"

Someone's remembered his daily training routine. The scientists on Allenby's team look to each other.

The grin on Allenby's face couldn't get any bigger, "Sure! Let's do that! But first, I wanna see you unleash your gate things!" This is apparently what Allenby does during her breathers because after she says that, she's closing the gap extremely quickly, suddenly rolling up in Lee's face to unleash a flurry of punches that quickly become extremely hard for the untrained fighters watching to follow.
Rock Lee "I do! I train every inch of my body every single day! My hobby is training, my Ninja Way is hard work and effort. When I want to take a break, I do one-hundred push-ups!" Lee explains quite proudly, beginning to crouch.

His eyes widen when she does that, and while there's no visible change, he suddenly starts keeping up with her punches, -significantly- faster than he was before. Some punches slam into each other, some hit him in the face, others are dodged, but their blows are definitely much too fast for the untrained eye to follow. "Wow! I did not know you could be -this- fast! I have opened a single gate, to show you just what my hard work can do! Though there is no visible sign of it, the first gate allows someone to use 100% of the body's muscle capacity, rather than the 20% that the body is normally restrained to for safety reasons!"
Allenby Beardsley     "Well my mind is /blown/." Allenby fires back with a strange bit of...acidity to her tone, coloring the otherwise excited mood she has taken to ever since the fight started. The comment prompts an eyenarrow from Dr. S, a silver-haired scientist on the Neo Sweden team that carries himself in such a way to suggest that he's obviously the team leader or manager.

Allenby notices the sudden shift in speed right away and in that moment, before he even says anything about it, she knows that he has opened a gate. "This-" she gasps between blows that are dodged or blocked, "Nobody has ever fought me like this before. Nobody has ever reached the level you do." Her eyes widen just before a blow catches her in the face, worsening the bruise from the earlier heel kick.

Instead of just facing him front on, she moves, pushing him for weaknesses or vulnerabilities in his balance, then adding kicks into the mix for good measure. Her speed doesn't increase but the aggression sure does as she strives to match him. "I like it."
Rock Lee "I enjoy fighting you too! There is a purity in your style!" Lee says as he finds himself kicked across the face, then blocks another kick with his arm, which causes him to wince from the impact.

Since she's throwing kicks, he begins mixing in kicks as well. He isn't afraid to sacrifice his limbs in a clash with her's. His fighting style is meant to crack or break bones with as much force as possible. Despite his agility, dexterity, and ridiculous speed, his style obviously focuses on strength. "When I was young, one gate would exhaust me and cause me to tear muscles. But now it is like second nature to me! I am very used to using 100% of my muscle capacity!"

His fist suddenly stops in a collision with her's, a clash of strength, and suddenly a tear streams down his eye. "Your fighting style... it is beautiful. I am moved by your passion!"
Allenby Beardsley     A kick cracks down perpendicular to Allenby's thigh and for a few seconds, her leg goes numb. She starts to stumble before shifting her weight to the other foot and swinging her forearm across her face to divert one of Lee's follow up punches aimed at her face. It almost seems like the leg might be taken out completely but she puts weight on it a moment later as she sidesteps a kick from the ninja that crushes the concrete where she stood into dust. There are no signs of pain on Allenby's face, only intense joy.

Her fist slams into his, enhanced and trained strength against 100 percent of his muscles. She doesn't budge and a ring of force blows out vertically between their two fists, shearing a neat line through the ground and remains of the surrounding buildings. One of the cameras filming this for team Neo Sweden is destroyed in the process and a mechanic swears.

"I think I understand now." she says to him as they stand there, fist to fist. "What Shin meant when he said he could listen." She hops backwards now, sweating noticably and breathing a bit harder than before. Seems like she's taking the moment to catch her breath like Lee was earlier.
Rock Lee Lee stands there, relaxing his stance as he takes deep breaths. Even the way he breathes is deliberate. Nothing he does is without method or reason. He is truly a person who has trained every aspect of his body and found a purpose for all of it. "I told Shin that if he defeats the first gate, I will show him the second."
Allenby Beardsley     The level of dedication Rock puts into training is extremely obvious to Allenby. It really does make her wonder where she'd be if she had the same. "He'll fight me too again one day when he's more polished." She lifts her hands again. "So what about you, though? Would you show me the second?"
Rock Lee "You are a lot more experienced than Shin appeared to be, so I will show you, to allow you to properly test yourself and become the person you want to be. It is an order of magnitude more intense." Already she can see the air beginning to heat up and rise around him -very- quickly, as if his core temperature was affecting the air temperature as well.

"The first gate was the Gate of Opening. The second is the Gate of Healing. It will further force the limits of my physical strength beyond normal human limitation. Each opening of a gate brings me sends me further and further away from the safe limitations that the human body imposes upon itself. That is why this technique is forbidden." he continues to explain, beginning to crouch down again. "Even if one is capable of learning it, if you cannot deligently master it, you can kill yourself on even opening the first."

That's when she can see the bruises on his face vanishing. "But the gate of healing does one other thing. It is like a second wind. Once this gate opens, my body is ready to fight once more!"

He runs forward. And while this gate doesn't increase his speed, the fact that he's -stronger- causes him to push against the ground harder, making him slightly faster anyway. He sends a series of punches forward her face. The first gate already gave him the strength to deadlift massive tree roots from the ground, this is beyond that.

And being near him, she can feel that heat. The heat of his body pushing itself, as if it were a visible representation of hard work.
Allenby Beardsley     "I have trained daily for over a decade to get this way." Allenby finally admits, again with a hint of pride, which elicts a murmur amongst her team. "Becoming a Gundam Fighter, learning every martial art they could teach me, it's been my life."

She watches him with interest, once again assuming a fighting stance, though this one deeper and more bladed than before. As he unleashes his second gate, she braces herself, expecting more strength or speed. But: "H-healing!?" she gasps. Seeing his bruises disappear only reminded her of her own yet the pain doesn't register thanks to her conditioning. "Aha, so I see you've got me at a disadvantage now!"

Her fists clench. "Guess I just gotta /deal with it/!" Allenby launches herself forward too, not quite meeting him halfway due to his suddenly slightly faster movement. A brief flurry of blows are exchanged and this time, it definitely looks like Lee has the upper hand, landing more blows than Allenby can dodge. Throughout it all, there is a bone-crunching crack and Allenby comes away with blood on her bottom lip, which seems to go unnoticed for the moment.

The shift does not go unnoticed and leads Allenby to switching her strategy suddenly. Her own counterpunches fade, focus placed entirely on dodging the blows until she can slip underneath one of the punches aimed at her head, ducking underneath his arms and sweeping her own arms around his body. She remains close to him, arms sliding up, one under his armpit, as she moves to slip around behind him. Then, the arms move to lock together as she tries to put him in some kind of strange arm triangle/sleeper hold from behind. Sweat pours off her body now due to the close proximity to Lee's activated Second Gate.
Rock Lee "It is only a one shot deal, you see! It only heals at the moment that I open it! Perhaps because my body is adjusting!" Lee explains, because only a lesser man would lead one to believe that he's more powerful than he actually is.

He watches her carefully through all of those movements. He was -definitely- not expecting a hold. He's strong, but she's -also- very strong. He can't quite focus on opening another gate. And even though he hasn't opened the third gate, his blood is still pumping quite quickly. This leads him to begin fading a lot quicker than normal. His increased strength becoming less intense as she throws all of her strength into a hold.

It's a bit like dealing with a mechanical bull in concept. Hold on as long as you can, and then it gets easier... wait, that's not how a mechanical bull works at all. But it's how Rock Lee works!

And soon, the heat around him becomes less intense, and his head just sort of droops.
Allenby Beardsley     "Still, it is a very /powerful/ advantage! But the way you said that...will it one day heal you /continuously/?" Allenby is clearly in awe, such powers not seen in her world barring cheating, invasive nanomachines.

He can feel her heart pounding through her chest as she remains latched on behind him, the hold locked tight. "I can't face you punch for punch like this." she admits to him, her voice right in his ear, "But I was taught that when you fail at one range...change the range." Then she falls silent, concentrating, listening. When applied correctly, a hold like this could cut of air or blood to the brain. Either one for too long would be terrible so as soon as she feels him going slack, she lets go, releasing all the tension out of her muscles.

She immediately collapses backwards, tilting to the side of the damaged leg from earlier before she hits the ground. She's breathing hard as she stares up at the sky.

"Hey Lee." she says eventually, not yet moving to get up, "Are you conscious?"
Rock Lee Lee groans, as it takes him a few moments to actually regain consciousness. He lays with his head at her foot, also looking up at the sky. He may have forgotten to answer her first question in all of that. "That was very clever." he says in a bit of a groggy tone, his mind still in a bit of a haze.

There's a pause, and he says, "When I am married, I would like my wedding to be like this."
Allenby Beardsley     A few moments of silence pass. No, no he hasn't. Allenby moves to get up-or tries to, only able to get herself sitting up for a few moments before her abs give out on her and she flops back over again. "Oh, hey, there you are." she says when she hears him.

Then her face turns red-well, redder via blushing and not just because of the extreme physical exertion she hadn't yet recovered from, "Well. Yeah. That was fantastic. Weddings should be fantastic too...right?"

Finally realizing that the fight is over, the local spectators erupt into cheering. The Neo Sweden team doctors approach the fallen pair, muttering to each other in Swedish.
Rock Lee "We should go have curry, when we can move properly. My first three gates do not harm me as much as they used to, but you were a very tough opponent. I do not believe my body fully refreshed before you choked me." Lee explains before he starts to close his eyes. "But I am very tired, so I am going to go to sleep. You may have your doctors leave me with the Union. Though do not look at my pouches, and I will wake up if anyone takes my blood! Those are classified secrets."
Allenby Beardsley     "Yeah." Allenby's reddened face does not lessen. "We should definitely go do that, Lee. Let's do that." She grins up at the sky before her head turns suddenly to watch her team approaching. She looks at the pair of doctors. "...you heard him, no messing around with his blood and stuff." She tries to get up again, not succeeding this time either. Eventually one of the mechanics is able to lift her, another one picking up Lee.
