Kotone Yamakawa Kotone had upgrade parts for her ship after that anti spirate raid and to be honest with a class upgrade? So she'd been at the bse working on it with SAIL and the other machinery there. She's clad in cargo plant to day and just a tank top. Also she has four cacble plugged into the back of her neck as she commands a few work drones and monitors otherthings while she's working on one of the system on the outside hell of the ship. Also there's some funky J POP playing at the moment from somewhere, odd Kotone could just direct feed it but she's not.
Corona Arclite A few things rattle around in a box as it's slides in front of Kotone, courtesy of a shove from Corona's boot-clad foot. "Brought ya a little present pardner. Just some knicknacks to pretty up the ship's livin' space. Give it that personal touch, y'know?" The foxgirl looks like she's ready for a work shift of her own, but that's just the normal way she dresses. Though her usual vest and toolbelts have been replaced with more appropriate to the location futuristic ones. Probably why she didn't make as much rattling noise as she usually does walking in. "Looks like y'all already been busy."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment and her eyes snap back into focus as she pauses the swarm of HUD windows in her field of vision to look at hte fox lady smirking a little bit. "Oh really that's pretty nice of you. I'd been more focused on making sure it's livable for one and being able to carry my spare bodies. You know tht sounded ... creepy I ... still am not used to tht myself."

She pulls herself out from under the hardware she was working on, though she's yet to pull the cables out of her neck.
Corona Arclite "I figgered as much," Corona replies with a small smirk. "Guess that ain't such a big problem fer me since I ain't gotta live on it, so all I need is a corner cozy 'nuff for a quick nap iffen I ain't gonna port back to Brimsteel."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa takes a moment to disconnect th cables and makes an odd face while she does so. She was still not used to that senstation in all honesty as she moved to siut up now and went to look at the box. "Well I been more nd more thinking of only maintianing my old place as a front given I been attacked there. I swear to God I will find that machine entity that Ghost hacked me, and rip them apart someday. I don't care if they are a God machine or not."

She brightens up a bit now and looks at Corona.

"Let's talk about something else right? Never thought I'd be living like this...it's funny I almost ran screaming back throgh the warp gate once with the intention to never come back out."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite snorts softly as she leans against a wall. "Important part is that ya -are- livin', rawht? Besides." She reachs over to give Koto's shoulder a light poke. "May change what ya are, but it ain't changin' -who- y'are."

But yeah, better topics to talk about! "Yeah, came to see 'bout gettin' my ship in fer that upscalin' too. Spent a good coupla days smeltin' down scrap to pitch towards the materials fer it."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I been doing the same I should have enough supplies to not be a total leech. It should be ready to get started soon really. It should have enough spare to carry more supplies and I won't be living a cramped as I was before. You know I never seen your home when it wasn't in trouble you know."
Corona Arclite "Yeah, the extra space will be nice. Still some things I gotta go home to do, but the more work space I got on that ship, the less runnin' round I gotta do. Especially with bein' able to just teleport back." Corona shrugs her shoulders a bit. "Yeah, well ya can always swing by sometime iffen ya want. Heh. It's kinda borin' unless a fight breaks out in the saloon or somethin' though."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I admit I'm trying to keep my ship on the downlow. There'd be people willing to do bad things to get ahold of my ship and it's technology to be honest. Sounds like a fun though but I never been to 'sace saloon'. For all my world's work with Cyberentics it's got little in the way of space travel."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite laaaughs. "Muh ship looks like someone strapped rocket booster inside a freight locomotive, I reckon 'downlow' ain't an option." Then gives Koto's shoulder another playful slap. "Maybe I'll start an ol' bar brawl just for ya sometime. Fer the experience." She then stoops down and reachs into the box. "Here, iffen yer worried about trouble, put this up in yer livin' space."

And she hands Kotone an old horseshoe.

"Never hurts to have a lucky horsehoe 'round. Just don't let it fall upside down."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa accepts the horseshoe and smirks a little bit.

"Ain't this a blast from the pass but it can't hurt, at worse I got a meele weapon handy, right? So a bar fight I'm not so umm sure about that being a cultral experiance one needs to have...."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite rocks on her heels with laughter again, tail swishing back and forth from amusement. "At least ya wouldn't have to worry 'bout bein' the one fightin' drunk, right? You'd probably clean the place up!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I can't /get/ drunk. There's toxin filter to prevent that."

She looks pained about this and shakes her head a bit.

"Is it any wonder digita' narcotics are starting to become a huge thing in Japan with three fourths of it's population moderately to heavily cyberized. Raceing ahead without thinking about the effects. So I never got a good look in your ship, is it in one of the other bays?"
Corona Arclite "That's kinda what I meant 'bout not worryin' about fightin'... yeah, ANYWAYS." Corona rubs the back of her neck with one hand, getting the impression it's a good time to change the subject a little. Fortunately one is conveniently right there. "Yeah." Idly she pulls her CPAD out of a belt pouch and clicks it open. "I guess the Novakid tech ain't so well known, so they gotta take a look at it before toyin' with upgrading it."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Well then lets get aboard shall we?" She follows after Corona letting her lead the way and she smirks a bit. "They do sound like your kind of people from what I heard of them. Well that little then agian your culture's a lot like how ... an era on my world was seen. Well more obessed with really. An idealized version of the era, anyway."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite flicks an ear at the conversation as she ambles through the corridors towards one of the other work docks. "And I find it weird that what I work with ev'ryday is little more than fantisized fiction fer a lot of worlds." She shrugs her shoulders. "But mashin' a buncha worlds together kinda does that. I mean, look at this thing here." She holds up her handheld. "Other than bein' buttons and levers it can do purdy much anythin' one of yer fancy computer tablets can. But."

She flips it over in her hand and uses her thumb claw to pry open a back panel, revealing the intricate collection of gears and wires inside. Other than a little glowing chunk of pulsarium to provide a battery, it's entirely clockwork.

"Funny how things can be so diff'rent on the inside, huh?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa enters in after her friend as she looks about it and replies.

"Then again mine is such, I know a few people who seem far too excited about what's going on in my world to be perfectly honest." She doesn't say who but it's a good idea whom she might be talking about. She puts her hands on her hips as she starts to peer about at everything.

"This would give any engineer from my earth a headake I think..."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite laughs softly. "It gives some of the engineers from MY world headaches. Me and the VEX Rangers are bout the only folk good at gettin' it small scale like this." She taps the panel shut again and tucks the CPAD away in her belt again. "But most machinery one Brimsteel's gotta be big, so the environment don't beat the slagmetal outta it."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "So most of the size is armor plating to surive the enviroment? Must be some pretty good resources to put up with that kinda of overheard on Brimsteel then huh>?" Kotone is now exploring the inside of the craft and poking at various things.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite picks up a loose wall panel and puts it back in place. A lot of the wall panels have actually been replaced with stained wood boards and paneling to give it an appropriately rustic decor. "It helps that the planet itself is pretty resource rich. Minin' and industry is where all the real money is. Brimsteel is act'ally named after a certain alloy that can be made outta the ore there, that's tougher than steel but not so dense and heavy. That's part of the reason stuff like this." She picks up one of the little cube shaped clockwork robots that are milling about one of the worktables she's set up that was sorting items. "Even works. Ya can make parts this small that ain't flimsy outta it."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa sighs a little buiit as she looks over all the interesting technology she looks to Corona.

"My contiunes cistance is from micronization. The technology that lets this?"

She pokes her chest and then her head.

"Which lets it interface with that are machine that are atom sized more or less. It's kinda crazy wll things considered. I admit I'm concerned if I ever run out of supply of such traveling I hope Rory's finished her reverse engineering of em."
Corona Arclite "Yeeeeah, that's a bit smaller than we can get to. At least fer me. I like to be able to actually see what I'm workin' on, y'know?" Corona sets the cube-bot back down on the work station and it goes right to work again like it was never interrupted, extending little gear and pully operated arms from its sides to pick up pieces scattered around the table and sort them into containers. "Once this ship gets upsized I'll have more room for storage other than the locker."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "About the same I'll be able to store a pair of cycles on b oard and have a small workshop as I'd like it really. That's going to be very good for me it wil also let me do some work on the move. I'm actually getting some orders for the knight and Rory's been willing to basic fabber with me...which should help a lot. Also I amdit if you ever visit my world just get ready to umm... posisbly deal with some creeps. I mean I have to deal with 'doll nuts' who think I'm just a thing at this point...I just wanted to warn you."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite pffs and rolls her eyes. "Don't worry none 'bout me. I grew up on the streets, remember. I know how to handle idjits that think they can just waltz up and get, y'know, 'close' with a lady."

She's usually wearing steel plated boots, after all.

"Appreciate the heads up, though." Chuckles a bit as she picks a wrench up from the table and hangs it on the rack above it. "Yeah. It's nice bein' able to work on the go and still get back to Loadstar when they need me quickly. Or Miss C probably wouldn't let me wander so much in the first place, heh."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I'm just saying and no problem. Better than being caught off guard. Still thoguh doll creepers... I had to deal with them before as I said and it's not an enjoyable experiance whenever it happs. Can't aruge about old analog systems though they can't be hacked by my world's standard so I heard of some companies switching part of their systems for scurity back to such. Heck I hearfd of one seeking out uncyberized guards. Can't hack if they brains are not wired up, right?"
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite gives a sardonic snort. "Don't let the Black Hats find out yer part robot already. Some of those fellas get -weird- for technology." She pauses as her CPAD bleeps at her and pulls it out of her pouch, skimming over the screen after opening it. "Oh good. If I've got most of the raw materials covered, they can handle the more technological bits. Something about how the way this ship is designed means they can just build a new section to the rear, instead of having to tinker too much with the existing machinery. Huh." She clamps the device shut again. "It's kinda like addin' a new car to an actual train."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "So long as they are cluless to the cues I should be fine. Though it's normally fairly easy to spot a full covertion at least if your used ot it. ... The eyes ar enever quite right you know?"

Getting a look at Kotone's would give her away they are faintly camera like even if a lot of work's gone into masking it. She contiune to keep looking over the insides a bit more.

"...that's actually a very good way to do it, though it will make it more vunrable in time..."
Corona Arclite "Accordin' to this later they can expand the additions instead of the original ship, without fiddlin' with the NovaKid tech they might not understand properly. So the later additions can be built up instead of out, like normal." Corona scratchs her head with the other hand. "Or I think it's normal. Still learnin' the whole spaceship thing." Straightens out her hat afterwards. "I can still hear and feel it runnin' 'round me, but it's odd not havin' that familiar click-clack of gears and such, y'know?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Still it's pretty clever and if you have the section with their own life support. The ship could be broken up in an emergancy as well if you think about it. Maybe not good for combat but for civilian yes that's pretty impressive. Humm I admit all that gearwork? Is kinda of a fantasy on my world. For the most part it's been abaoned save in a few cases or for artisan works on things like clocks or watches. Still I get that, it's like I miss the sounds of where I grew up."

Kotone pauses to make a little pose and then lead on COrona a little bit.

"Still it's become a heck of a life hasn't it?"
Corona Arclite "Yeah, I ain't plannin' on usin' it to fight any. Does wonders fer salvage work though. Hey, SAIL?"

"Oh goodness," the AI deapans, "You actually used my proper designation."

"Yeah, well, yer plugged inta all the other ones right now anyways, so it's more like talkin' to a hive mind. So talk to the rest of 'em and see about gettin' that upgrade booked in fer me."

"Shall I include the anti-adhesive deck plating so you don't make a mess all over my floors -again-?"

Corona squinted at the terminal on the wall at the other end of the section. "Can't tell if that was serious or not..."

"Both," the AI replied flatly. "Just in case your little -toys- knock over a grease barrel again."

Several of the cube-bots stop and turn as one in an almost creepy fashion to glare at the console with their tiny red lightbulb optics.

"Oh chill, would ya? They's still learnin'... But yeah, good idea. Do that." Corona turns back to Kotone, tapping the side of her head with a finger. "The one downside to clockwork computing is it ain't always the quickest at data retention."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa starts to laugh, clutching the wall at Sail and Corona's banter she's starting to wonder about that AI truly she ios either way she's taking a moment to stop lauching and control her breathing. More out of force of habit, than anything else. It's funny she has habits for thing she no longer really needs to do. Still it's been a good day so far.
