Soan Sagittarius      Phoenix, the Fire Bird in the Sky that gives light and warmth to most of the planet, like many of theses 'suns' in the other worlds seems to be, is at it's apex around Chocobo. This means very little on the pacing of the day, as Galiandan people long learned to not rely on the erratic patterns of the flying god. Currently, it is early in the day. People are heading in to reach their classes, meet up with friends, entriprising merchants in the court are selling food to the unwise that ran without breakfast, announcements are made.

It is also Soan Sagittarius' most favourite stalking grounds. The Thief, currently hiding admist the leaves one the many trees of the park-like Court near the central area, most notably the main entrance of the Academy. He's, as per usual, on the look out for potential targets to pickpocket, having memorised Today's victims. That is the main cover, every morning, that he uses.

Right now, his heart is not fully into things. A rage simmers inside of his heart, or rather a sort of disgruntment. The treatment Kyra recived yesterday by her own family still burns. What, perhaps, burns more is that how he cannot do anything about it. The Dragoons has no say in the work of the Church, after all.

So, Soan tries his best to distract himself from that rage, keeping a close watch on the entrance, munching on a sandwich he nicked from a Merchant student.
Korra     It had been a very long day for Korra. Once Tenzin had found out about her little... trip out to the trains, trying to stop a mad wizard, she had not heard the end of it. And she was still uncertain what to think about that wizard, too. Tenzin had set her to doing meditations, and was near on the edge of giving up on the Avatar.

When Korra had turned around, and said that she /wanted/ to learn meditation.

Needless to say, that stunned Tenzin.

But he had already booked a trip to look around an alternative academy for Korra, so there he was - riding upon the back of an air bison, its flat tail waggling about as it guides itself through the air. The colourful white and orange robes probably stood out, along with his air tattoos as he guides the bison into a landing in this very park.

Korra dismounts, alongside him. "Alright Korra - I'm going to talk to the headmaster, and return - could you remain here for a moment? Please?" he asks.

"Certainly, Tenzin," says Korra to that, nodding her head to the airbender.

The bison immeadiately starts setting itself to munching on the lawn, the Avatar - dressed in a manner that befits the Southern Water Tribe, leaning back against him, bringing up her hand to ruffle the hair at the side of the bison's head. It makes a happy moan.
Soan Sagittarius      Seeing things fly in the sky is not that unusual. Parts of the Chemist's wing regularly losses it's roof. Sometimes, Beastmasters fly around in their captured monsters. This, however? This was new. Soan, biting into the middle of his sandwich, furrows his eyebrows when he notices the shadow looming on the ground, looking up when the air bison comes landing. The crowd, in general, does not panic. There is surprised cries, a general hurry on not being directly below the animal, several people taking enthusiastic photos at the Extraversal that's chewing on the grass. Fortunately, no mobs.

In fact, in some way, it's almost a jaded reception!

As a member of the Light Warriors Club, however, it is Soan's duty to greet this person. By the look of it, the more elderly man walks with a purpose -- and meeting with somebody important. Perhaps the Headmaster? It would make senses.

What works in favour of not having a crowd... crowding Korra and her Air Bison is the bell, resonating through the large park, prompting many student to start running off to their respective classes. The Thief makes his way through the moving crowd, approaching the two.

"My, my!" Soan says, in plain sight as he finishes his sandwich, a hand in one of his pockets. He's deliberatedly making noise when he walks, it's obvious. "That's quite a big companion you have there, lady."

He stops, then gives a small bow. "Welcome to Alexander Academy! I'm Soan Sagittarius, of the Light Warrior Club. What brings you here to Galianda?"
Korra     Mooga, the air bison, blinks with a blank expression at the gathered crowd, chewing upon its cud of lawn that it had brought up. Korra, for her part - seems to suddenly realize just /how many/ people were lingering here. "Mooga, shh," she says, bringing up her hand to touch the great nose of the bison, as it draws in a deep breath through its snout, looking just about to panic.

Or maybe not. Korra didn't know how to speak bison.

"There's so many /people/ here," says Korra, her voice rich with wonder. "Um... hi!" she exclaims to a passing girl. "Is there a place I can park my bison?" she says, her tone of voice joking - her smile wide.

But the girl had to hurry off to classes.

Bringing up a hand to brush a lock of her hair out of her eyes, Korra lets her eyes track around, spying...

Well, she spies the approach of the thief. "Oh! You mean Mooga? He's an air bison, from where I'm from - I didn't... well, realize that you guys must not have bison of your own," she says then.

At the small bow, the Avatar straightens, returning it. "I'm Avatar Korra, of Air Temple Island," she says, "It's nice to meet you, and I thank you for your welcome, as for what brings me to Galianda..." she says, straightening up and shrugging her shoulder.

"Tenzin was considering asking the Union to transfer me from his care to somewhere else. And this came up in the discussion. I think he changed his mind, though - at least I hope."
Soan Sagittarius      The Thief laughs, shaking his head as he approaches the Avatar and her Air Bison. "I'm afraid we don't. We have several flying creatures, but none so... fluffy like your friend Mooga." Soan says, catching up on the name, looking at the now gone patch of grass the Bison ate. It paniced a bit earlier, he could see. It should be better now with people fleeing to class and other horrors of school.

The Ifriti straightens, dusting his hands off from the crumbs of his sandwich, shoving them into his jacket's pockets, smiling at her. She seemed quite nice, he thought. The name, however, do light some recognition in his eyes. "Ahhh! I think we spoke briefly on the radio, or at least, I've heard you talk." He says, looking in the direction Tenzin left. "Ah, so that man was your mentor, I assume. He seemed quite... intense." He put, politely, turning to look at Korra again. "Why would he want to transfer care like that? Oh, uh, if it's not too private to ask."
Korra     Korra didn't display any fear or anything as the young man approached - instead pulling her hand away from the bison entirely. It draws its head down - nuzzles its nose in the spot where there once was grass, and rotates a bit to one side, just enough to stick its nose in a new patch of grass.

It seemed to be happy with that. At least its tail was flapping again.

Korra's eyes draw down to the sandwich briefly, but she wears a smile, putting her fists upon her hips. "Yes - I think I remember you as well. There's been /so much/ going on lately, though - I apologize if I missed something," she says, her voice bright as she inclines her head to the young man.

"Yeah, that was Tenzin - he's kinda the boss of Air Temple Island - one of the last airbenders, and a very, very, /very/ serious man," she says, looking after him. The way she said it though? There was an underscore of annoyance in her voice.

"He probably won't now, but let's just say I haven't been the... ideal airbending student," she says, giving the thief a wink. "So he wanted me to consider someplace that might be better for being a little more... uh... wild? I think he put it."

Korra pauses. "It was this place or Hogwarts, apparently," she says, bringing up her hand, kinda chewing on her thumb a bit. "So he's going to talk to the headmaster, and straighten it all out. Have you been a student here long?" she asks.
Soan Sagittarius      The grass makes little movement on fleeing from the monstrous hunger of the air bison. Despite the best effort of the gardner, he has not created a strain of grass that evade the wrath of herbivores.

Soan's watches the bison for a bit, before returning to the Avatar. He waves a hand. "Bah, it's just like a phone. Hard to put faces on the voices you hear and, by the Divines, there's a lot of them." He says, looking back. He don't know everything of what she's just said, yet he knows enough to extrapolate from what he heard from Toph. Air Benders must be quite similar to Earth Bender, at least in theory they manipulate elements. Still not clear on what 'Avatar' means, however.

He laughs a bit, shaking his head, approaching the Air Bison cautiously, getting a closer look as it eats the grass mercilessly. "He did seem kind of dour, it was like it was written all over his face!" He says, smiling at her. "I don't think it's a bad idea. If a methode of learning doesn't work, it's a good idea to try something else. Besides, lots of people here. There's a lot to see... and if you don't like the stuffiness of the lifestyle in a Temple, this is definetively different."

"Me?" Soan says as he fishes out his pockets two small cans. Each are bright red, with a stylized burning bird emblazoned on it. From his other, he takes out a sandwich. Looks like chicken.

"A few years, yeah. In fact, I lived in Chocobo for a long while, I got into the Academy by stealing the Grandmaster's of the Department of Rogue's wallet. Kind of been here ever since, heh. Want a sandwich and a drink?"
Korra     After commiting herbicide upon the poor defenseless grass, Mooga has enough to make a cud. Lifting his chin up to stare with those big brown eyes (some have called them heartwarming) upon Soan proper. Or just... anyone kinda drifting by. He was good at staring. "Yeah, uh... it's just like a phone," says Korra, with all the grace of someone who had absolutely no idea what a phone was, but didn't want to seem like she didn't know, because, you know, if she didn't know, she wouldn't be as cool as someone who did know, you know?

"Well, how many people are in the... multiverse?" says Korra. "Millions upon billions. Upon billions. I guess you kinda have to focus on a voice or two when it comes around," she says.

Air Bison can be very dangerous. However... to get an air bison that angry, generally you have to mess with one of their cubs. Or try to eat it. Seeing as Mooga had no cubs around, and did not fear Soan eating it - Soan was very safe. Even if he wanted to touch it, all it would do was look at him.

"Well," says Korra. "Learning how to airbend needs... a lot of serenity," she says. "And I've been kinda mean to Tenzin - so I feel I owe him another shot. And this time - honestly try to meditate and things," she sas.

A beat, as he pulls those things out of his pocket. The chicken... she wasn't familiar with chickens, but there were birds kinda like those on her world. "Sure," she says, reaching out a hand for the drink. "Thank you - what kinda drink is this?" she says.

When what he says finally crosses her mind. "Wait - you're a /thief/? Are these stolen?" she asks, glancing down to the can and back up, when...

"Korra, it's time," says a voice from the entryway. Tenzin was returning, carrying a handful of pamphlets by the look of it - he tucks them into a satchel. "The headmaster gave us some information to read - let us go back to Air Temple Island and look them over."

Giving Soan a wry look, Korra shrugs her shoulder, moving to jump back into Mooga. Tenzin gives Soan a long look, stroking his beard, before doing the same. "Mooga - yip yip," he says, before the bison takes off into the sky.

Korra waves. "Let's talk on the phone some other time!" she calls. "It was nice to meet you in person!"
Soan Sagittarius      "Oh no, I bought them. Or at least, I left the money in the merchant's pockets when I took them." Soan replies, on the matter of the sandwich and the cans. "It's just some soda." He says, to be interrupted by the return of Tenzin. The young thief returns the look levely to the Airbender, giving him a polite, cautious nod, before watching them fly back. Hmmmm. Airbender, serenity, huh. He carefuly take a few steps back as they climb back upon the bison.

"Yeah! Sure! It was really nice to meet you in person, too! I hope you enroll in here! Take care!" He shouts out as they start to fly away, dusting his hands off.

Yeah. He does hope so. She seemed interesting.

Upon close inspection, upon the various pouch attached to the Air Bison, if Korra search, she will find the aftermentioned soda cans and the sandwiches, stuffed somewhere carefully. The question of how it came to arrive there is a complete mystery.
