Jai-006 The Factor is a barren wasteland and the sun was on up high peeking over the mountain of metal ores, and random junk parts scattered around by the robots. This place was full of odd things and many strange devices from all around the Multiverse.

Jai-006 of the Gray Team was called in to help handle security in this place. He decided to go it alone, instead of having Mike-120 or Adriana-111 with him, though for good reason. Mike-120 would get very distracted by everything here and he couldn't afford that. Not with a mission directly from the Union posted to him from the UNSC as well.

As he walks the grounds, his dark gray armor glens slightly in the sun. His silver visor reflecting the light with ease as he keeps the assault rifle in his hand, but resting back against his shoulder. He was a monster of a man in that armor he wore. A MJOLNIR Gen 2 known as the Centurion. On the backside he had a combat knife and a pistol magnetically attached at his hip.

The SPARTAN-II must stand around close to eight feet and continues to walk on as his feet easily kick up dust and leaves a heavy imprint into the ground, but his movements are fluid. Seeming unaffected by the heavy suit of high tech armor he wears.
Project MORDRED One robot is out of place. A fifteen foot tall humanoid machine, sleek black with the heraldic design of MORDRED proudly portrayed on its chest. The Armour is armed, and has just arrived, walking towards Jai. "I am MORDRED, and I claim this factory on behalf of the Confederacy." MORDRED's voice is broadcasted over Audio and various radio frequencies, and Glare-NT's hand rests on the monofilament broadsword. "You have ten minutes to depart the facilities peacefully before I will engage in hostilities. If you choose to initiate hostilities, I will respond in kind. Time till ultimatum is counting down now."
Jai-006 The Fifteen foot machine shows up and Jai quickly turns the corner to level his assault rifle on the machine. His footing was steady even as the large machine spoke out from the speaks. "And here I was wondering if this job was going to get boring." He does a quick study of the machine.

It was roughly around the size of a Hunter, if not a bit taller. Probably far more armored if he was being kind to it and probably hit like one if not harder; Most likely harder given mechanics. Ok-- now he wished he did have Mike here... Oh well.

He would probably need to change his hand gun for the armor piercing rounds, but maybe the Assault rifle can rip some of the metal off. If he could get close enough in-- he may be able to even stick a grenade between a joint--- choices choices.

Beyond the remark Jai said earlier as his thoughts go over quickly the options. He looks away, goes to turn away. "But to your offer I'll have to say..."

Then with a snap around he opens fire with the assault rifle. "Not a chance in hell!" As he starts to strafe with a quick step around, not allowing himself to become a stationary target.
Project MORDRED MORDRED's reaction is fast, and his Armour is quite agile, so by the time he notices Jai's trigger finger twitch, he's already moving, and although it's close, only half of the assault fire rounds connects, leaving a couple light scratches on Glare-NT's paint job. "We're doing this the hard way then, unfortunate as much as it's understandable. Would you at least honour me with your name?"

Immediately afterwards, he leaps forward, closing the remaining distance with high velocity, thrusters assist his motion, and he slashes with his monofilament broadsword. A quick, probing attack to test his enemy's defenses. The highly massive, razor-thin blade is no joke, designed to cut open several inches of armour, but MORDRED only intends for the tip to connect, allowing him to retain his distance.
Jai-006 Jai continues to stay on the move. Ok--this thing was /faster/ then anticipated and that means he need to make the adjustment for that mentally. When the SPARTAN-II observes the larger machine on the move with thrusters burst, he quickly reaches up drawing out his combat knife.

The sword swings and Jai-006 goes to impact the far larger blade with the knife, which deflects most of the damage away, but it leaves a dent in the knife metal and skids over his shield that overlays the armor causing its fluctuate and cutting an edge of the gray metal ceramic metal off by a sliver.

"I'll think about it." Was his only response to Mordred, as he steps around and then goes into a fully burst run. His armor feet impacting the ground, clipping up at speeds close to around twenty-- which is far by slower then the armored figure could move at; But maybe it would be enough.

Jai leaps up and impacts one of the mounds, before he shoves off with his foot, causing the mound to actually shift under the weight. He springs himself into the air and with a flip goes to fire down at the armorded figure while keeping the knife at ready.
Project MORDRED By the time MORDRED realizes what is going on, it's already too late, the bullets lodge themselves into his Armour's shoulder, disabling the primary shoulder joint and forcing a switch to the secondary shoulder joint. That slows him down just enough that he can't properly swing his monofilament broadsword. "It's dishonourable not to reveal your identity to an enemy who has revealed his. Have you no sense of chivalry?" The question, albeit in a neutral tone, is somewhat accusatory.

As he speaks, his next attack is already in motion, his left leg sweeps rapidly towards Jai, attempting to drive him into a nearby wall with a lot of energy behind it. Hit or miss, once he lands, Glare-NT's right shoulder is functional again, the built-in redundancy working to specs. "You are fighting for the Union, aren't you? Do they employ a lot of dishonourable curs?"
Jai-006 Jai-006 lands on the ground and while he can see the foot coming in, he only has a enough time to shift himself to take the blow. The force strong enough to skid him across the ground, slamming him against a ore side mountain, with a spike of rock only a few inches from his visor, reflected in the silver.

The SPARTAN-II looks over and then with a shove out of the rock, even with a mild misteps, he flips the knife around and cuts the spike off, before kicking it up with his foot. In a fluid motion he sheaths his combat knife, before reaching out to catch the spike; Along with hooking his assault rifle to the side.

He looks over to Armored Mecha Knight as he speaks up. "Ask them." It seems like Jai-006 isn't being very cooperative on the talking department or has chosen to just be stubborn on principle. he flips the spike in his hand, before reaching over to remove a grenade.

"Like playing ball?" He asks flipping the pin, before he steps back and then like a pitcher, throws the grenade. Though once the Grenade gets to a timed point. He flips the spike in his hand again before he steps around and throws it to catch the grenade. Forcing it to explode early and try to wash a bloom of explosive flame and shrapnel over the machine.

Also using the same chance to draw for the handgun, changing out the rounds to something more meant to deal with heavy armor. Though he doubts that is going to slow MORDRED down, but maybe it will give him enough time.
Project MORDRED MORDRED spots the Grenade and is already using Glare-NT's undamaged side to block it when the grenade goes off, even if it's earlier and thus more damaging than anticipated, most of the heat gets bled off by the ablative heat-shielding, though that does get molten away on that side, and will need to be replaced later. The Shrapnel diigs into the Armour, causing minor damage but not disabling any systems. "I see you are a dishonourable cur. I will henceforth treat you as the dog you are." He sounds confident.

And he might have cause to be, as he launches himself towards Jai, thrusters augmenting a stab with the tip of the massive monofilament broadsword, the entire mass of Glare-NT adding onto that charge, the blade is thickest at the tip, but it's still an extremely sharp weapon, nothing to be joked around with.
Jai-006 The Glare-NT comes in quickly and Jai-006 flips around to open fire at one of the stacks near him. It comes crashing down just as the Glare NT goes in for the blade comes in for the impale. He watches the sword make easy work of the material, maybe it didn't slow it down, but it seems the SPARTAN-II was using it for either to /try/ too or to judge distance as he leaps to the side. The blade clips the energy shield again, causing it spark blue and the armor behind it clipped once more, tearing some of the metal.

There was only a soft tsk, because inside the helm Jai-006 was getting that wonderful sound from the system alerting him of low to depleted shield energy. Which means the next hit, he may have no protection at all.

Jai lands back and he quickly starts to back hop in his step, as he lets out a few of the armor piercing rounds out from the handgun. Though he doesn't spend the entire clip, instead after a few pops. He is on the move again, seeming to try and circle around. Including jumping over one of the work robots in the process.
Project MORDRED Armour piercing rounds are valuable, if they hit. Unfortunately it seems like MORDRED's reaction speed and his Armour's mobility are impeccable, and whenever Jai's trigger finger twitches, the machine rapidly changes direction, and it's fast enough that predictive fire doesn't appear to help. This does seem to have increased MORDRED's distance to Jai. Which may seem like a good thing, after all, so far Jai has been using ranged weapons and MORDRED hasn't been.

So, MORDRED enacts a change in combat patterns, and he does this by flinging his monofilament broadsword towards Jai-006. With his Armour's hands emptied up, he reaches for the XTE Lancepack, pushing the longarm against his Armour's side. The tip is already starting to glow as energy gathers in the weapon.
Jai-006 Jai-006 can see the swing and the throw from the Glare-NT. Which was enough time to flip a pipe up; And some poor robot with it; Holster his handgun and then prepare for impact! The sword slams into the pipe, cuts in and with the edge of the blade cutting right into the helm lip visor, and shoves him back against a collection of who knows what.

The SPARTAN-II can only stare at the possible close call and grunts as he yanks it free from the metal lip of his helm and shoves it away, along with pulling himself free of his almost imprinted tomb. Only problem was he can feel a warmth right near his bicep muscle of his left arm. Even as the Bio-foam injectors activate to heal the wound. He notes the blood left on a piece of jutted metal.

Looks like the man in armor can indeed bleed. "Hm." He then looks over at the Glare-NT as it starts to power up something and inhales deeply. Then crouching down, he pushes off with his feet and starts to race right for MORDRED's Knight Mech. His combat knife come into his right hand, before he leaps up and goes to try to plant his feet on the armor. If his feet stick, he goes to jam the knife into the chest of the armor and holds onto the handle, trying to cut the chest armor; Trying being the optimal word.

Though if he fails to get a grip, he will just flip away, but at least on both cases there will be a flicker of blue around his form as the shield reactivates.
Project MORDRED MORDRED fails to react quickly enough, and as such Jai does manage to cut a hole into the Armour's Chest, cutting through the automated repair system, significantly hindering that system's ability to compensate for damage. In addition, at a small point there's a slight opening that reveals MORDRED's face. A clean-shaven face matching common standards of male handsomeness to a tee. "Not bad."

Despite the compliments, MORDRED is not dissuaded, the XTE lancepack finishes charging up as MORDRED's thrusters send him flying from Jai, and without further warning, it expels a concentrated blast of superheated plasma, almost hot enough to initiate hydrogen fusion. The Knight lands on top of a nearby robot, and immediately starts charging up the next plasma blast.
Jai-006 Jai-006 gets an opening and looks down at the man inside. MORDRED may get a chance to see his reflection on the silver visor as the SPARTAN-II looks down at him. "Hi." Is all he simply says and when complimented, Jai simply shrugs his shoulders. Part of who he was after all.

Though the Glare-NT doesn't make holding on easy and he has to let go, flipping back and then shoving himself off to the side as the thing fires that overly heated charge blast. He rolls along the ground, as his HUD goes on the frets, the shield trying to compensate for the heat load.

Thankfully it missed him, but he could feel his armor heated up by the beam. He also stares at the devastation and the now glassed ground. It brought back memories alright and he looks over at the Glare-NT as he gets back up. "Nice toy. MORDRED... was it?" Jai-006 asks as he examines the weapon. To narrow for a grenade to fit in-- which kills any thought of blowing it up.

Unless he can figure out where the power back is. "I have a team mate," The SPARTAN-II then goes dashing back in as he leaps up against one pile then to the next to get some distance and height. Before he flips around, "Who would love to have one!" Then with the aid of his jet pack, he activates the thrust to increase his speed for where he goes to try and goomba stomp the top of the machine with his armored boot.
Project MORDRED It's not the top of the machine that really gets damaged by that goomba stomp. Sure, it takes some damage, but the real harm is done on the other side, as MORDRED stumbles backwards and a piece of heavy machinery tears a hole in the Armour's back. "I'm afraid the XTE Lancepack is not available on the public market." MORDRED replies without emotion, scrambling to get the heavy machinery out of his back.

Then he approaches Jai, letting the XTE Lancepack charge, keeping it aimed at wherever Jai is going. It's a distraction, the Monofilament Broadsword's return thrusters, make the weapon fly towards Glare-NT's offhand from behind Jai, and as soon as MORDRED catches it, he slices, still letting the Lancepack charge.
Jai-006 Jai-006 is thrown off again and flips back onto his feet. He slides back a bit against the rocky dusty ground. "Who said I meant the XTE-- unless that is what you are riding is called." The SPARTAN-II picks up the movement and goes to sprint to not make himself an easy target. He also observes as the blade goes back, with the soon Glare-NT right on him again.

The slash one and Jai-006 hand springs back, before rolling another slash. He then attempts to kick up one of the robots and let it become a victim of the large blade. The only trouble was, it did become a victim, but it didn't stop the blade. Instead he goes to try and stop it when he realizes this all went wrong. His hands go to plant down on the blade and the force however was to great.

The sword slams down on his shoulder armor, the shield flares before it bursts with static and the edge of the blade cuts down into the ceramic metal, cutting down to the under-armor. Jai-006's hand tense as he tries to fight with the sword. Only he finds himself crashing down hard onto one knee. "My name..." He then goes to shove it away, just enough to roll out of the way, before coming back to a kneel on his knee.

The assault rifle in his hands, "Is Jai dash zero zero six." He then opens fire with the assault rifle aimed for hole he made with his knife earlier and trying to see if he can bounce once of the bullets inside if he lays down enough lead.

At least until he watches the clip hit 0 in his HUD and then goes to shove off his knee for another sprint run for cover-- if he can manage it in time!
Project MORDRED The bullets do more damage inside Glare-NT, one of them even lodges itself inside MORDRED's shoulder, causing him to bleed. "You bled me, Jai-006. Well done." He genuinely sounds impressed, like he didn't think this was possible. "But it sounds like you meant my Armour. It's a Terran design used exclusively by royalty. This particular one is named Glare-NT, the Armour of Peace. The only other Armour of this model is Calibur-N, which belongs to my father, High King John Arthur."

As he talks, he doesn't stop trying to dodge attacks or aim, and as he names his father, there is a discernible bleed through of anger and hatred, and at the same time he fires another plasma blast. The superheated matter is fired from extremely short range. "I don't think your friend is going to get his hands on one of these, either."
Jai-006 It was interesting Intel to gather in the head of battle, Jai thinks to himself as MORDRED explains not only the armor, but who his father was and the fact there is probably one two in existence. Though if the case-- then doing the damage he is doing is probably costly--- good.

The only trouble was the blast was coming and all Jai-006 could do was slide behind a pile of rubble and hope it takes the blunt of the force with his shield down. Which it does.... somewhat. The blast tears apart the rubble, melting it and the heat wave rushes over him, super heating his own armor. He can feel his arm to shoulder starting to burn from the intense heat. His HUD blaring at him and he just wants to go 'yeah yeah yeah' to it.

But seriously--if Master Chief can surf down on wreckage to enter the atmosphere-- Jai-006 can handle this! Even if he isn't aware of how crazy his SPARTAN-II brother has been with his antics, but he doesn't need to know. They are all kinda crazy. At least-- some would say that.

Once the beam ends, Jai-006 stays down and goes quiet. He takes two blue grenades in both hands and scoots himself slightly. In that moment of silence, as the wind blows. Then the leader of the Gray Team rolls out from his hiding spot before flinging both of the grenades. If they make their mark, the glowing orbs will attack themselves and then explode with a plasma blast.
Project MORDRED MORDRED intercepts the grenades with his monofilament broadsword. They explode there, and this briefly melts the tip of the weapon, deforming the superdense metal and rendering it practically unuseable. Some of the heat affects the ablative plating of Glare-NT, but the damage there is minimal. This doesn't deter MORDRED, who throws the weapon to the side, and he takes to the sky, thrusters keeping him floating in midair.

Then, the XTE Lancepack switches to rapidfiring mode, firing multiple smaller, less hot (though still superheated) blasts of plasma in the rough direction of Jai, MORDRED is trying to guide Jai towards a specific target spot with these shots, forcing dodging in a specific direction, until rapidfire mode is suddenly turned off and a full-strength blast goes flying.
Jai-006 Jai-006 does move where MORDRED is trying to push him. A few plasma bolts impact the armor which only is impacted slight by the bursts. The next set clip the shield as it reactivates. Only when the Glare-NT gets to the SPARTAN-II where he wants him, does Jai-006 slide on his boots and make a running charge.

The blast beam comes racing at him and he steps around. It slams into his already injured left arm melting some of the plating off down to the under armor. He leaps directly into the air and goes reach with his band hand, ignoring the pain as if it wasn't there as he goes to swing himself down onto the back of the Glare-NT.

He takes the hand gun and then starts to fire several armor piercing shots into the mech, before he goes to swing himself around and fires a few more shots. Before he flips off and then chucks a grenade right at its feet for the final attempt to mess up the Knight Mech enough that either it ceases to function or MORDRED is forced to fall back.
Project MORDRED MORDRED attempts to dodge the grenade, but fails, and now Glare-NT starts leaking coolant fluid in addition to all the damage already done, which means MORDRED needs to disengage NOW, not after firing a parting shot, not after trying to edge out a win regardless. As the high powered, low maneuverability thrusters start to fire up, MORDRED makes one last statement. "You have won the day, Jai-006. But do not think I've given up." And then, he starts speeding off before he loses too much coolant.
Jai-006 Jai-006 watches the fifteen foot machine leave as he stands there for a moment before closing his eyes under his helm. Unseen to the world as he just lets out a deep exhale of air.

That could have gone bad. It could have gone /really/ bad. Yet he managed to survive it, which means figuring out how to file a report to the Union now and allow them to know about this threat. If they already didn't know about it.

Which means probably hitting up Carol or Jorge.

Once MORDE was fully gone. Jai-006 taps his comm line. "Adriana... let the Union know the area remains secure and I need a ride home." there was a pause before he spoke. "...also may need a second skin. This one has gotten really tattered."
