Mamimi Samejima There was no reason to really stay in Mabase.
The only reason Mamimi hadn't left before was because how hard it was.
With the gates, Mamimi left - though Takkun was still there. She'd be back.

For now, though, Mamimi had picked up the bag that she always kept with her, her camera and her shoes. Those needed to dry though, before Mamimi could really start walking. At first she came across a gate - "A warp gate." She remarked, seeing it, and not hesitating before she walked into it. Poof. Right through, Mamimi had found a bar with food, a quarter guardian angel, and a few others. Many of them not human! It must have been a dream, however, since she woke up back where she had always been. Even if she apparently had a new contact on the phone named 'El'. Weird.

Now, she had wandered out to a version of America. To Boston. Tasuku was here somewhere, wasn't he? Since he played baseball, maybe... maybe he'd be in the papers? Walking through a park in Boston, Mamimi was not a slight bit out of place. She was tourist-y, though. The Olympus camera was in her hands now and again, taking pictures of the buildings that jutted into the sky. How amazing it seemed! Yet it was just buildings. They didn't look very flammable either, but they did have fire escapes.

A hobo laid out on one of the benches, Mamimi noticing the paper folded over him. Well, those cost money, don't they? Picking it up - Mamimi would actually begin to walk off with the newspaper - sports section in particular, as she strided off with it, scanning for the name 'Tasuku'. If she needed to sleep, she could even use the paper herself! Likely hobo-like, as well.

Which brings her now to the top seat of one of the sections of the Boston common baseball field, sitting the opposite way - away from the baseball diamond being used, feet kicking as she read.
Haruhara Haruko      Mamimi's life is about to get a lot louder.

Some children have been playing in the park, tossing a ball back and forth. Mostly just entertaining themselves. There is the sound of a loud Vespa, and then the sound of a baseball being smacked, hard. A female voice can be heard, screaming as the ball is hit, "HOOOME RUN!"

And then the ball flies through the air, straight for Mamimi's head. The impact of the baseball being hit is causing it to burst apart midair. If or when the ball hits, it'll hit /hard/.

And then Haruko is going to drive her vespa up a repair ramp set up nearby, and land on the other side of the fence. She looks around, freaking out a bit as she hadn't realize someone was in the direction of the ball she just hit.

     "IS EVERYONE OKAY?!"
Mamimi Samejima Very loud, obviously.
With the cry of HOMRE RUN, Mamimi twists her head around.
She always liked watching Tasuku hit them out of the park. She was one of his biggest supporters.

As her head tilts, her arms grasp a camera to get a good picture. Almost sleepily - slowly, the whizzing grows louder, the gasps and the compliants, cheers and jeers from those watching. Mamimi does get to see the ball. Up close and personal even. Eyes widen as she gets a VERY CLOSE INSPECTION of the ball. It may be the last one anyone ever gets of that ball!

The impact of the ball against Mamimi's head is enough to send her spinning into the air from the last level of the metallic baseball seats, spiralling about from the inhuman force of the ball and then slamming down to the, thankfully, softer patch of overgrown grass near the edge of the seats, back first. The camera lands neatly, unlike her and her bag, on her stomach. Is she down and out!?

Well, she can't /immediately/ answer Haruko!
Haruhara Haruko      Haruko leaps off of the Vespa. It continues to drive a bit as she does so, before it crashes into the trees. She makes a mad dash towards Mamimi, arms moving up and down like an olympic runner. She slides and skids to a halt right near where Mamimi is collapsed on the ground, and looks down at her.

"OH DAMNIT NOT AGAIN! Ahhh at /least/ it wasn't with the Vespa itself this time."

She grabs at Mamimi by the collar of her shirt, and starts to shake.

     "LIVE, DAMNIT, LIVE!"

A small crowd is watching now. And this is actually a bit unusual for Haruko. It's not often she /actually/ runs into someone by accident.
Mamimi Samejima The collar of her shirt is shaken as Mamimi finds herself lifted.
By an angel!? Vision begins to return as conciousness does.
It's not an angel it's... "T...Tak-...kun?"

It's not him either. A wasp? No! As she's suddenly shaken once more, Mamimi's eyes roll forwards, fully concious as she comes face to face with a wasp of a woman, a cry of "Waaah!?" As Haruko shakes - Mamimi shaken and stirred by Haruko in a way that guarantees she is fully woken up in a matter of moments!

It's perhaps due to the force she uses! Flailing and attempting to pull herself away from Haruko as she shakes, Mamimi may stumble backwards, away from the grasp of Haruko as she does so.

If she /does/, she'll tumble backwards onto her rear, the newspaper from before floating, gingerly, down to rest atop her head. Covering it.
Haruhara Haruko      As Mamimi pulls back, and stumbles, Haruko stands up. She witnesses the girl stumble backwards and fall, the paper on her head. A sigh of relief escapes Haruko's lips, and she tosses aside her helmet towards her Vespa. She takes a moment to wipe a bead of sweat from her forehead, before walking towards Mamimi. She grabs at the paper, pulling it off the girl's head.

     Haruko smirks.

"Hey, kid, you okay? ...Well, I guess I shouldn't call you a kid. You don't look /that/ much younger than me!"

She takes the newspaper, and crumples it up into a ball, before tossing it aside. Haruko just stands there, arms crossed, observing Mamimi. Something caught her ear. Takkun? Is that someone this girl is looking for?

     "And no, I don't /thiink/ I'm Takkun. I'm Haruhara Haruko, a wandering housekeeper!"

She makes a dramatic pose, pulling her guitar off her back and flinging her hand across it, before pointing towards the heavens.
Mamimi Samejima Awake and with an absolute /screaming/ headache!
Not that she'll say anything about that. Rubbing her head, Mamimi is blinded by the sun!
Or maybe Haruko?

Wincing a bit, Mamimi nods. More importantly, Haruko didn't want to hit her. She seems to care a little - at least a little. "It was an accident, wasn't it?" She notes, as if it couldn't be helped. Kid - yeah, she isn't that much younger. "You think so?" Mamimi asks, looking up to Haruko. "...Pink hair." She remarks, noticing it. Does she dye!?

Still, her attention is caught by Haruko grasping th enewspaper and crumpling it up, following the toss and watching it as her potential link to Tasuku-sempai is thrown away. Still... she didn't see his name and she was near the end of it. It wasn't likely he'd be in there so low. Then, Haruko poses! Guitar raised upwards, hand flinging across it.

FLASH. A picture is taken of Haruko's pose.

Camera stowed away, "You're definitely not Takkun." She answers, getting to her feet slowly, glancing around at the group of people ( who probably starting to disperse ), as she finds her footing. It's still a bit staggered.

"He wouldn't be here, anyways. He has school and doesn't skip." Mamimi almost sounds disappointed, as if that is the wrong choice. "A housekeeper? ... You're not a batter?" It /was/ a home run.
Haruhara Haruko      Haruko doesn't even blink as the picture is taken. Whatever she is, she's really used to people considering her an oddity that must be documented. A grin appears on her face as she slams the guitar back onto her back, and then crosses her arms in front of her. Takkun. A definitely Japanese looking girl. Haruko's smile widens.

"...Did your boyfriend run out on you and get a hot American babe? I mean, seriously, that happens all the time. Or... Looking in the paper? He famous or something?"

She looks towards the field, smiling, talking without looking at Mamimi directly, "Well, what I did was interupt an important game of catch by swinging in full speed with my guitar, just for my own personal entertainment. So. Nope, not a batter~. Maybe just for fun, sometiems."

She walks over to Mamimi, smiling. A knuckle is put forward, and she rubs it on the top of the high schooler's head. "So you just here looking for this Takkun guy, ooooor what?"
Mamimi Samejima Clearly Haruko is - though Mamimi either seems to accept it, or is unphased!
She's not the first, judging by the way the rest of th city takes it!
Does that sort of thing just happen that often!?

The neutral expression on Mamimi takes a sour turn as Haruko's smile widens. "He just hasn't called." Mamimi corrects Haruko, fishing around with her right hand - automatically moving to grasp something. Pat pat ... pat pat. Where'd her bag go!? Mamimi looks down, bending over to pick it up as she does, fishing out a cigarette and a lighter as Haruko turns away and talks a bit more. Mamimi taking the time to place it into her mouth while she talks - words scrawled on the side of it.

She has to take it out before it's lit, though. "He's a batter. I was checking if he made it famous already." Since he's here, in America, and a hot american babe? ... Blonde too, probably. No, no. He wouldn't. But did he?

The cigarette is replaced in her mouth, Haruko suddenly in her face - a smile plastered over it, a knuckle against the top of her forehead. She can't light it with her THAT close! It's held again, "Nah Takkun's in school, back in Mabase." She pauses, eyes rising to meet Haruko's as she has her hands full already, "My phone has better reception here." Clearly it wouldn't for Takkun, for any smart aliens to figure out.
Haruhara Haruko      A batter, in America, who has a chance of being famous. Haruko knows for certain: Yeah, the guy ditched his old squeeze. But, for now, she just smiles. But, her eyebrow raises a bit. Takkun is back in school? Are there... two Takkuns?

But, one thing catches her attention even more.

     'Mabase'.

The sight of a Medical Machinica factory.

Haruko ponders, looking to the side to hide a particularly wide and foul grin. "Mabase, eh? What's that town like? I have a job here in town as a housekeeper right now, but always looking for new places. Though, I like Heaven or Hell, pretty cool place. Guy in charge of it is supposed to be some kind of angel or something, and the guy I'm working for is a total nerd~."

She's waiting for the hints to be dropped more naturally. Info on Mabase. An excuse to go there from a local.
Mamimi Samejima There is but one Takkun.
It's just Mamimi isn't going to straight out say Tasuku!
At least, not unless she's bludgeoned again or scared!

Mamimi, with one less Haruko face directly in front of hers, and potentially one hand/fist on her head still, lights the cigarette on fire, inhaling on the edge. Maybe she knows it's over, but the subject of Tasuku - or just something that sort of gets to her, almost necessitates she has one of them. Medicating herself, Mamimi seems a bit better off.

Missing the grin entirely, Mamimi looks up, tilting her head a bit as she thinks, leaning against the edge of the bleachers, rocking a bit back and forth. "I've met a quarter guardian angel... never a full angel, though. Huh? What's it like?" She thinks, a few fingers about her mouth as she ponders. "Well, from living there, it's a quiet get away town... there's not much there. It's really different from this place." She says, in simplicity. "Kind of secluded, really." She looks down, trying to think of more. "Like the whole city could vanish, and no one would even know." She describes it.

Tapping her cheek with the edge of the cigarette, she still thinks... but there's not much coming. "... Nope!" She beams, smiling to Haruko. "Nothing." Tap. SHHHHHHH. Mamimi taps the burning edge of the cigarette against her cheek, dropping it instantly as she stares down at it, stomping on it indignantly, rubbing it out. Rubbing her cheek, the girl glances to Haruko. "Ah. Mamimi Samejima." It only took her forever to introduce herself.
Haruhara Haruko      A whole city that is secluded. Near a Medical Machinica factory. Yes, that is more or less explaining why that town was picked. MM really likes to hide themselves from prying eyes, and a quiet town is the best place for that. Is /that/ the sort of place they're hiding on ost planets, nowadays?

Haruko grins a bit. She ponders, looking at the girl. Should she swing now? ...No. Not yet. That'd make things suspicious, if yet another person already started shooting robots out of their head. But there is something about this girl. Wandering to America to find her love. Smoking at her age. Reading an old newspaper. Something is wrong about Mamimi, and Haruko can't quite put her finger on it.

     Finally, it hits Haruko

     Mamimi seems like trouble.

Haruko smiles at the girl, "Well~. You should stop by the office. Also I'm not sure if the guy is /full/ angel. I really don't know~."
Mamimi Samejima The denizens also, at least Mamimi doesn't, have much positive to say about it.
Not at all.
Though with Haruko's grin...

Mamimi waves once infront of Haruko's face, seeing if she would respond. "Haru-san?" She's already saying that. "Hey! Haru-san?" Wave, wave. The smile comes up and Mamimi's smile and good nature seem to almost vanish from the somewhat odd look on Haruko's face. It's not immediate, but Mamimi can almost pinpoint an evil plan! ... She doesn't seem evil, though.

The thought is entirely discarded.

"Oh? Where is it? ... I should ask then for you, Haru-san." She almost too helpfully states. It's not for her, after all. Mamimi met a quarter guardian angel. Maybe this is a half, three quarters, or full 100% angel!? She rummages through her bag and picks out something. It's a scone. Day old, at least. Chomp.

Haruko can add a few things to that 'bad influence' list. She might also get a glance of things that don't belong there, like packets of this and that for food and other assorted objects she shouldn't be carrying around. But only a brief glimpse!
Haruhara Haruko      Haruko grins at Mamimi. Haru-chan, eh? Yeah, she can live with that nickname. Haruko just looks up and down Mamimi one more time, "Yeaaah, go by the office~. It's over that way." She points off towards the distance. "Big sign on the building, can't miss it. I suck at giving instructions on finding places, though~."

A grin, "Well. You be sure to have fun when you stop by the office, okay? Look for a guy named Nathan. He's a pretty fun guy, though a bit bookish. Psyber and Kyra are two other people you might like~. At the least, well.. It should be interesting, right?"

Haruko walks over towards her helmet, grabbing it and placing it on her head. She smiles at Mamimi. "Need me? call me on the radio. And til you see me again... Stay Fooly Cooly, okay?"

She hops onto her Vespa, and starts driving away.
