Toph Beifong     If people want to see earthbending, then they will see earthbending.

True to her word the blind girl arrives at Njorun station, clad in her usual earthbending clothes as she steps into the Ring of Philosophy, rather relaxed as she's munching on an apple. Toph's particular instance of the Ring is of course one that's strewn about with earth and metal, which others might be familiar with. Either way she walks out to the middle of the Ring.

Once there she kicks her heel into the ground, and a simple earthen throne rises up just as she's moving to sit down, crossing one leg over the other as she reclines back in her seat, still munching on her apple.
Blurr     Blurr also makes his way to the Ring, remembering the last time he'd been here with Toph had been pretty exhilarating! She sure could make some great tracks. The sleek blue hover speeder surges into the room suddenly, pulling up near the throne the girl has created. Despite the abrupt nature of his arrival, the Earthbender probably felt him coming from a ways off. "Toph." he greets. "So how've you been?"
O'Mont're Tyr Tyr has never been to Njorun before. His first visit has found him largely impressed, enjoying the less harshly-edged architecture and the array of facilities the place has. A small group of his crewmen have accompanied him to see the facilities, and, supposedly, the Captain is speaking to some of the higher-ups elsewhere in the station.

O'Mont're Tyr himself enters the Ring of Philosophy only after Blurr and Toph have already arrived. He's followed by five men, four in dark uniforms and carrying sidearms and a fifth clad in concealing rust red robes. Toph can tell that the one in the robes is festooned with metal, and that his tread is very heavy. She can also tell that Tyr is hoofed rather than booted.

"Toph Beifong and Blurr, I assume," he calls. The others break off with low murmuring and take to the stands. The robed figure seems to be messing with a dataslate.
Maya Maya is curious to see some more earth bending. Maya shows up long blue hair, leather and metal armour, she seems casual for all the world looking like a hive ganger from The Imperium. She's also got a pair or streak tattoos on the lower part of her cheeks.

"Blurr, Toph and I presume your O'Mont're Tyr?"

She also notes the others with him, the one in the robes with metal she suspects might be a tech priest.
Toph Beifong     Blurr's arrival earns a grin from the girl, and she speak with her mouth full as she raises a hand in greeting to the Autobot. "Heya Speedster. Eh, been okay enough, things have returned to normal after Goldie was revived. You?"

When the new guy and his entourage arrive though Toph's attention shifts to them, and she does take note of the heavily armored robed man, as well as how Tyr seems to have hooves. Not that she cares much. She's 'seen' weirder. "Yo," she responds in greeting to the new Union ally. "Call me Toph." Maya's arrival too earns a wave, and Toph gets up from her seat, perhaps not looking so very impressive due to her short height. She tosses aside her mostly eaten apple, then she cracks her knuckles.

"Okay, earthbending is a skill from my country. There are firebenders, waterbenders and an airbender, so you got all the four elements. Earth is the coolest though," she says, then reaches out with one hand, then lashes out. In response an earthen spike shoots up next to Tyr.
Blurr     "Goldie? Oh, you mean Stark." Blurr watches as Toph demonstrates for Tyr. It is pretty cool, earthbending. Not that he's ever really witnessed any other type of bending. "Well I'm glad things are back to normal for you, at any rate." The Autobot also nods when Maya arrives. "Hey Maya."

He notes Tyr's appearance, as well as his entourage's, and is not really surprised at the hooves either, he's seen plenty of aliens before. "Shas'OVash'yaMonatMont'reTyrright?" he repeats the full name as heard on the comms, though it comes out so fast that it is perhaps a little bit difficult to tell if he got it exactly right or not.
O'Mont're Tyr "Toph, then." Tyr nods. He looks to Maya, and inclines his head. "Yes. I'm pleased to meet you." Some of the guys with the guns seem to be giving Maya a weird look, but they don't directly say anything. They appear to be taking orders from the robed man(?) with them, who has settled in to observe intently.

"Yes, although a little slower," he asides to Blurr. He seems to have a good ear and got what he was trying to say. He looks at Toph, watching her as he asides, "You don't need to say all of --"

Tyr throws himself to the side the moment the spike comes out of the ground. He's standing an instant after he hits the ground, some kind of boxy pistol in one hand. He looks between the spike, apparently taking a second to stare at or examine it, and then looks back at Toph. "Definitely 'cool,'" he says mildly, "though I am partial to fire."

The Tau straightens, lowering his weapon from a ready position. He makes a gesture at the now-standing men in the stands; they sit. "My people are also familiar with the concept of four distinct elements; we are divided into castes for each. I have found it to be a common concept." He pauses a moment. "You said this is not magic. How did you do that, then?"
Toph Beifong     "Yeah, that's one of my nicknames for him," Toph explains. Though when Tyr throws himself to the ground, Toph arches an eyebrow. "Relax, I wasn't going to hurt you or anything... sheesh." She gestures with her hand and then the earth shifts underneath Tyr to help him get to his feet again.

"Bending is focusing if you ask me. Having a firm will and clear mind. You use your inner energy to connect with the element, the rest is all about how determined you can be," the blind girl explains. "Also, my bending involves all sorts of earth. I invented metalbending."
Maya Maya is lookjing over Tyr and his companion he's curious about them to be sure. This was not the sort of crew she'd honestly expected to have happened.

"There is a similar set up to elements on my world more or less. She tends to throw out a lot of oddball nickanmes there's no real harm in it."

She listens to Toph for a moment and she smirks.

"That you did Toph. It's still impressive that you did. I never asked how /did/ you figure it out?"

She also looks to the landing party for a moment.

"I'm Maya and it's good to meet you."
Blurr     Blurr just shrugs at the 'slower' comment. It's the same name whether you say it fast for slow. "As I understand it, her bending is just a natural ability she has. Just like humans and other organics have a natural ability to reproduce, or create language, or walk upright on two legs. I'm not sure if any of us understand all the technicalities of it, though?" he glances at Toph. "There has to be some kind of physical force acting in response to that uh, connection?"
O'Mont're Tyr "Reflexes are difficult to ignore. I mean no offense." Tyr doesn't seem particularly bothered, now; what cool he lost for a second was quickly picked back up. "If that were all of it, I imagine many Tau would have the ability. Perhaps some will try and learn it." He smiles, sounding a touch amused by the idea. The expression and the difference in tone fades quickly.

"Metalbending. Does it allow you to do what you just did with all forms of metals? What sort of range do you have with these abilities?" He's already thinking of the possibilities. There's a quick nod to Blurr. "I was thinking something along those lines."

"The name is one I've heard before," Tyr says to Maya. "I assumed I should not be offended."
Toph Beifong     "It's... not that common compared to other human abilities," Toph says, looking a bit deadpan when Blurr mentions some things. Oogie. "But yeah, it's a bit difficult to explain bending. To me it's as natural as breathing."

As for her range? "As long as it has some earth in it, I can bend it. Metal is just purified earth, so as long as the metal isn't too pure, then I can manipulte the earth in it and make it bend. I can bend it precisely, and I can bend a lot of it. I once held up a pyramid all by myself to keep it from collapsing on myself and some other explorers. Blurr here included." Though of course he made things worse at the time... but let's not think back to that right now.
Blurr     "Right, it's not as common as those other things, but it's about as natural as--" Blurr pauses when Toph compares it to breathing, then affirms it. "yeah, breathing. At least for humans." Because he doesn't breathe, at least not in the same way humans do.

Yeeeahh....let's not bring up that particular incident. It was rather embarrassing, to say the least. "Er, yeah thanks to her we managed to get to the objective before the place caved in on everyone with no casualties or severe injuries." That he knows of. Let's just forget about the part where Blurr smashed the door down when it could have simply been opened normally, and consequently nearly knocked the entire structure down on top of the group.

"Anyway. Well O'Mont're I hope you feel a lot more welcome here than I've been lately. It was good meeting you. Maybe I'll see you on mission sometime." With that he clears out.
