Shadowed Aesthetic     This was certainly new. Having spent his whole life in Autochthonia, the concepts of grass, flowers, and trees are ones that he's not really familiar with. He's stopped in a large field of flowers (not poppies though... not that they'd affect him anyway) and is knelt down with his legs to one side, like one might see a woman sitting.

So it is that, in the field of multicolored flowers, there is a person with steel-blue hair, and blue and white robes sitting sideways in the middle of the field. One solitary flower has been picked, a pink one, and the person is gazing at it with tilted head, as if not quite sure what the pink thing is.
Annie Sandberg     Soon enough, a different sort of pink thing approaches- a little girl, dressed for the region's warm weather in a light, pink dress with a few blue accents. Perched on her shoulder is a small, blue-and-beige creature with a long snout- Andyquil, the Cyndaquil. "Cyncyn, cyndaquil quil quiill? Quil daquil?" <Hey Annie, who's that? A friend of yours?> the Pokemon asks. "Not yet," Annie answers, before getting closer to the being with a cheerful smile. Whoever it was seemed to be some kind of artificial being- a different sort of android perhaps? She was always interested in meeting new kinds of people.
"Hi! I'm Annie," she says to the other person happily. "That's a nice flower you have there."
Shadowed Aesthetic     There's an abnormal shine to one of the gems set in the odd 'tiara' that the being wears -- a 'tiara' that looks like it's made onto the silvery-white skin itself. Suspiciously, this gem that gleams is the one that is the closest one ot being in a direct line of sight with Annie. In fact it's when she's talking to her pet that the person looks up in Annie's direction, blinking in surprise.

Though when she offers her polite and friendly greeting, the person gives a smile in return. "Hello there," comes the reply. The voice doesn't clear up any gender confusion, either. "It's good to meet you, Annie. My name is Shadowed Aesthetic of Quicksilver."

As for the flower? The person reaches up and makes to put it in Annie's hair, right behind one ear. If successful, he'll chuckle slightly. And then he looks to the little blue critter on her shoulder. "Might I ask who your companion is?"
Annie Sandberg      "That's a pretty name," Annie says with a giggle. "It's really nice to meet you too... um, is there something shorter I can call you? That takes a while to say!" She would just go with 'Miss' or 'Mr.', but... in this case that wouldn't really work! "I used to know someone with a name like that, but now they're somebody else. And they have a different name that's not so fancy."
Andyquil then chimes in. <I'm Andyquil,> he says. <I'm what they call a Pokemon. A Cyndaquil to be exact. Good to meet you.>
Shadowed Aesthetic     "Thank you," Shadowed Aesthetic returns, to the mention of his name being pretty. As for a nickname? "Oh, er..." He thinks about that. "'Sil' is fine," he finally decides. It's hard to shorten an Alchemical's name sometimes. But that single syllable is enough for now. Though at the mention of someone with a name like that, he blinks. Another Alchemical? "Might I ask what this name was?" He doesn't ask the current name, just the former name.

The Pokemon introducing himself gets a polite nod of greeting. "Pleased to meet you as well, Andyquil." A pause. "Pokemon? I've never heard of that before. But it's very probably we aren't from the same world." That... sort of goes without saying, but Shadowed Aesthetic of Quicksilver is nothing if not cautious.
Annie Sandberg      "She was named Beautiful Rose Petal," Annie specified after a brief pause. She had to dig up the memory from her archive, since she hadn't thought she'd need it. She was a different sort of artificial being before, but now had become a human!
"Yeah, all three of us are from different worlds," she added. "I went to a place called Johto to get Andyquil. So... um, where did you come from? I think I'd like to see the kind of place you come from!"
Shadowed Aesthetic     'Beautiful Rose Petal'? That didn't sound like an Alchemical. What is a 'rose petal', anyway? His curiosity seems mollified for the time being at least, though. There will be time to learn these things later. He tilts his head to listen as Annie explains she's from a different world than Andyquil. Johto? He'll have to remember that one.

He does seem to hesitate when he's asked where he's from. Instead of answering, he asks a question of his own. "Have you ever heard of Autochthon?" He doesn't know Annie, after all, and he's not sure if she's friendly or not, despite her demeanor.
Annie Sandberg      "No," Annie answered with a shake of the head. "Is that some kind of... machine land?" That's what the name sounded like to her, and Sil was clearly some type of mechanical being, so... there we go. "I might like to go there... I'm a machine too! Though I don't really look like one," she noted with a grin. She liked to see worlds that were run by machines. She'd even been to a theme park staffed entirely by robots... though the place had seen better days.
Shadowed Aesthetic     Shadowed Aesthetic tilts his head at the question. "You could say that," he replies. "But there are people there too." He looks to a flower, this one he doesn't pick. He merely touches the petals with delicate-looking silvery-white fingers, as if he was touching something breakable. "But we don't have things like this there. What is this? All of these things? What is their purpose?"
Annie Sandberg      "Um... they're flowers," Annie says. "They're plants. They're alive too, but they just grow and look nice really. I don't know if that really counts as their 'purpose' though." She shrugs. "Were you made for a purpose, Sil? I was, but... I've changed a lot from when I was made, so I don't really do that anymore."
Shadowed Aesthetic     Plants? "I see," Shadowed Aesthetic replies. He take sa closer look at the design. "I admit that's odd for me... Yes, I was made with a purpose in mind. All Alchemicals are Exalted with a purpose in mind. It's strange to hear of something that doesn't have a purpose. And there's nothing green there, like this place." He sweeps a hand out to indicate the field. "Nothing really... 'grows'."
Annie Sandberg      "Nothing, huh? That's too bad," Annie says. "I like flowers and places like this. Like Alfheim too! ...but that's a virtual world, so maybe it doesn't count. But maybe it does!" She'd heard that Alfheim and worlds like it now physically existed in the Multiverse rather than being simple computer programs. It all felt the same to her, anyway. "Well... My original purpose was for children to play with. There are a lot of others like me that do the same thing. I'd be sort of like a friend and know all the games kids play. I wasn't supposed to be like a real person though, just know enough to do all the games and be fun. But... a lot of stuff happened. And I changed, like I said. I still like to play though!" She smiles brightly. "How about you? What were you made for?"
Shadowed Aesthetic     'Alfheim'... that was another name to file away for future research. He listens to Annie's account of her development, with a contemplative expression on his face. "So you weren't originally made sapient?" he asks. But he does answer her question, "I was made to destroy the Void taint within my home." If Annie knew the Alchemical Exalted, she'd know that even if she was pretending she didn't, so he's not revealing anything there. "My kind are sapient when we're completed."

Here he pauses. "Do you happen to know a fellow who calls himself 'Bitter Medicine'?" he asks. He does need to try to get in contact with some of the others. And he knows that at least Bitter Medicine went out into the Multiverse.
Annie Sandberg     Annie nods at Sil's assessment. "Yeah. It was an accident," she says. "There are others who changed the same way, but most androids in my world aren't. A lot of people still aren't used to the idea of machines being people." She frowns. Her friends were all quite accepting, and it was surprising more people weren't. As Sil states his own purpose, Annie thinks a bit. "So... um, you fight bad guys or something? I don't like fighting myself, but... people who are powerful and fight bad guys are kind of cool!" She looks a bit fangirlish at that.
At the mention of Bitter Medicine, Annie shakes her head. "Um... no," she says. "I think I might have heard that name at some point, but... I don't know who that is!"
Shadowed Aesthetic     "That's very sad," Shadowed Aesthetic replies. "That the others aren't ... 'awake', I suppose. You must be very lonely without them." He's not aware if she has other friends in other worlds, or even if that's allowed. Things will take time to learn, even for a Champion of Autochthon. When she speaks of his prupose, he chuckles. "Something like that, yes," he notes. "Fighting is rarely pleasant. But sometimes it's necessary."

As for Bitter Medicine, he nods. "That's all right. But thank you. I'll need to find him; we're acquaintances and I have reports to hand in." No sense in hving her think he means something bad for Bitter Medicine.
Annie Sandberg     Annie shakes her head. "I have a lot of other friends," she says. "And I like the rest of the Fundroids too, even if they aren't like me." As Sil continues, she nods, making sure to remember the name if she ever met him. It sounded like Bitter Medicine was Sil's boss or something. "...It kind of seems like a lot of the important stuff is solved by fighting sometimes," she observes. "I'd like to help people and do important stuff too, but without fighting people. I mean... I'm not going to grow up, but that doesn't mean I should do nothing but play all the time."
Shadowed Aesthetic     "Perhpas one day they will be," Shadowed Aesthetic suggests. "anything seems possible in this Multiverse. Perhaps more of them will awaken, and they'll understand what it means to be truly 'alive'. Then you'll have even more friends."

though Annie's words of wanting to help get a thoughtful expression. "There is something that people forget," he ventures. "People who fight... sometimes they need to get away from that. Leave it behind. Even if just for a little while. Forget about fighting, let their spirits regenerate the damage done."

"I often hear people who don't or can't fight say 'I wish I coudl do more'... but being exactly who you are is already helping." He offers a kind smile. "It may not sound like a lot, but for those who fight, being able to let go of it all for a while... that means more than anything to them."
Annie Sandberg      "Yep," Annie says. "If it could happen to me and Andrew, and a lot of others, I think it can happen to all of them sometime. But then it might get confusing, 'cause there'd be a whole lot of other Annies who look just like me and are all different people!" She laughs, before listening seriously to Sil's equally serious speech. "Yeah, I guess so. Kind of like in Alfheim, where I play music! But... I can't do that in real life. I mean, I can play music but... not the kind of music that has magic powers and stuff!"
Shadowed Aesthetic     Shadowed Aesthetic chuckles at the mention of it getting confusing. "Maybe you could give them all nicknames?" he suggests. "Or numbers?" A pause. "Oh but that doesn't sound at all elegant or beautiful," he decides.

Though at the mention of magical music, he blinks. "Magical... music? How is that done?" he asks.
Annie Sandberg      "Well, maybe we could all have different last names," Annie suggested. "I mean, I changed my last name when I went to live with Mommy, so any other Annies who got to be like me could change theirs too." It didn't seem quite so fitting to have a cutesy name like 'Annie Intelligence' when she was a real person now. As for the magical music, she laughed a bit. "Alfheim is a virtual reality game world. There, I'm not Annie Sandberg, but Silverbloom the Puca. Like a fairy! And I get to play the flute and make other people more powerful or healthy. ...Anyway, I think I need to get going," she said, noticing the time. "Maybe we could talk again sometime! You could even try Alfheim! But you'd need some special equipment to play it probably, since it's made for humans. That's what I do."
Shadowed Aesthetic     "That could be a way," Shadowed Aesthetic agrees. "But unless you referred to each other by last names, that could still be a little awkward." Annie explain a bit about Alfheim, and he nods. "Ah, I see! That is a possibility. I'll have to look into it; it could prove interesting." He nods when Annie mentions needing to get home. "It was good to meet you, Annie. And you as well, Andyquil. Do take care, both of you."
