Alice Jones     It seems Alice is strumming a steel-string acoustic guitar in the middle of the Terlawk Mall at one of the fountains on the ground floor. Sitting on the edge, it seems that most people likely won't notice the odd ghostly claw strumming along with her and compensating for her errors in playing style. To the vast majority of people, she's just a really good guitar player and she does get no shortage of money in her guitar case for the playing as she finishes off the song she's been playing with a call of, "Riding on the wiiiiiiiind~!" and a bow as she gets up. It seems someone has a love of metal from a few decades past.
Blurr     The mall is rather busy at this time of the evening, with shoppers of all shapes and sizes and walks of life milling about from store to store. Among them is what appears to be a blond young man perhaps in his late teen years. He's come here in search of a piece of information that has managed to get into a place where it shouldn't--though he isn't yet sure where exactly that place is. It's somewhere here though, it's just a matter of following the right person.

But that's when he picks up an unusual energy signature on the scans. Suspicious, even. Target acquired? Maybe. He follows the signal, and walks up to the guitarist who appears to be the source of it. Is that...a claw? An ethereal-looking -claw-? How come none of the humans seem to have noticed it? Or maybe they have, maybe they expect it. Still, he acts natural, applauding her following the performance.
Alice Jones     "Thank you, thank you." Alice says, then stands up as she looks at the person in front of her. "...Got something to say?" she asks, "I'm not adverse to talking, but you look like you've got something else in mind." she explains, "So... What, not a fan of metal done on an acoustic guitar or something?" she asks. "It's not to everyone's taste, but people deserve a chance to try new things if you ask me."
Blurr     Blurr has been trying to do what he can to blend in to human culture when he needs to, but there are still some (okay a lot of) things that are lost on him. Sure, he can dive into the world wide web any time and surf faster than any human-manufactured computer can, but he usually has more important things to do. Plus, a lot of it he doesn't end up remembering.

But, again, he acts natural. Or tries to, at least. "No, not at all. I love metal done on an acoustic guitar." he replies, not really knowing what she's actually talking about. "Is that what the extra hand is for?" He asks, referring to the weird claw.
Alice Jones     Pausing, Alice takes a step back, "So what, you're another one of those sorts that can see it?.. Or do you have one of your own?" she asks. "A friend. Someone who Stands by you." she explains, not realizing the naming of her own powers in that sentence. "If you want to know more, I can explain it. But first..." she says, then points to Bluur's humanoid form in an oddly direct, or perhaps dramatic manner. "I need to know who you are. Telling someone what you can do right off the bat is anywhere from good teamwork, to a death sentence depending on the person."
Blurr     "One of what of my own? An extra hand? Um, no." The avatar arches an eyebrow at Alice. "Well I guess I have friends...who stand by me?" he replies, sounding a bit confused. As he is standing there, pretending to have a normal conversation, he's scanning her up and down in an attempt to figure out what's creating the signal.

"At least I hope I do." He smiles slightly. "Michael. And what about you?" He probably picked the first human male name that came up on a name search or something.

If Alice is looking closely enough though, she might notice something a bit off about him--it's hard to pinpoint at first, but he looks almost -too- perfect, as if he'd been pulled right out of a glamor shot or something.
Alice Jones     "Alice." she says, looking him up and down and tilting her head. It seems she's examining him too as best she can, for what it's worth. And then she pauses right before an almost demonic looking figure with glowing yellow eyes, black flames for hair, and midnight-blue skin appears and rushes Blurr!.. Then pauses before tapping his forehead gently with one of its claws to see if he reacts. After eh does so presumably she then says, "So you can see him." as the Stand hovers over between the two... Before receding back into her body. "You're not the average human it seems, then."
Blurr     Oh, does Blurr react all right. He's one of those jumpy types, though it takes a lot to actually startle him. He's certainly seen a lot, but he didn't expect -that-. The avatar stumbles backward, and nearly trips over her guitar case. "What the--!"

But then the creature doesn't attack. So -that's- what was causing the odd signal. "...What is that?"

"Well uh, thanks, I guess?" He replies when she comments that he must not be an average human. "Unless that wasn't supposed to be a compliment." The avatar straightens and makes a show of dusting itself off. "Anyway it's nice to meet you, Alice."
Alice Jones     "A friend. As far as I can tell, a protector from the other side." Alice explains, then nods. "You're not taking offense at the test... A more peaceful heart than most." she notes, "Good to see there are some that still value peace about. Others might-but only might, look to have an excuse to fight others." she explains as she walks forwards and offers him a hand up. "And it wasn't a compliment, more... An observation. A neutral statement."
Blurr     'Michael' doesn't take the hand, instead stands back up himself. "Oh, well good to know that it's on your side, geez." he comments, staring at it a moment before looking back at Alice.

Peaceful? Maybe. But more likely that the creature wasn't exactly the most creepy looking he'd ever seen, either, even if it did startle him.

"So uh, how'd you get it? It just decide to be your buddy or what? And how do you know I'm not 'average'. Pff, maybe I am."
Alice Jones     "The few people I've seen have different stories. Some have always known theirs, others... They appear when they really, really need it." Alice explains, "But this one's a gift." she explains, "He's from my brother... Sent from the other side to protect me. The afterlife... If he's an avenging angel or a demon to drag people to hell, I don't know. Looks like the latter, acts like the former. What I can tell is that he's the biggest symbol of my brother's love that I have. So in a way, it's the living image of a relationship." she says.
Blurr     The avatar nods, though he probably doesn't really get it fully. "Ohhh." It wasn't exactly the answer he was hoping for. But she probably doesn't know any better. "So your brother is in control of them? That must be nice. You don't have to worry about anyone mugging you."
Alice Jones     "No... Just a friend he sent over, I think." Alice says, "But yes, it is fairly nice. I call him Judas Priest, after a particular band I like. It seemed appropriate, we both liked the heavy metal genre... Naming him after something that brought us together only seemed natural, I guess."
Blurr     The young man just looks confused, though he nods anyway. "Uh, right." He turns to the strange creature. "Nice to meet you, Judas. Can I call you Judas? Or does he talk to anyone else besides you?"
Alice Jones     The Stand just floats above, 'Michael' as he stares down at him, examining the form. "No, actually." Alice says, "He does what I ask, but he doesn't really... Speak. He helps, he's a guardian. Just not a really talkative sort, I guess."
Blurr     "Oh, okay I get it. Strong silent type." Blurr remarks. He glances down at the guitar case full of money. "Guess you're pretty popular around here huh?" he comments. "You do this often?"
Alice Jones     "Mhm." Alice says, as Judas Priest fades back into her body. "We do performances, though most only see me. The odd gig comes around too, so between busking and actual performances I get by. It's not much, but it gives people a chance to hear some good music and that's all I could really ask for." she explains.
Blurr     "Oh, so are your audiences used to the claw thing then?" Blurr questions. "Well I guess people around here are used to just about anything, heh."
Alice Jones     "No, no." Alice says, "Most can't see it, actually. Only some other people with tricks of their own... Or allies of their own, can see it." she explains, "It's not every day I see someone who can see him." she notes.
Blurr     "Oh," Blurr suddenly looks a little bit alarmed at the mention of that. "Right, well. It was nice meeting you Alice. And Judas. And good luck with your music career and stuff." He is suddenly talking really fast. Not unintelligbly fast, but significantly faster. He suddenly turns and starts walking rather quickly away toward a cluster of vending and prize machines a few paces away.
Alice Jones     "...You OK?" Alice asks, as Blurr heads away, and reaches out as though tos top him. "...On the other hand, maybe not." then sighs. "Guess seeing you isn't for everyone's mind, eh?" she asks, patting herself on the back though more accurately intending to give her own Stand a pat.
Blurr     Blurr doesn't answer, but keeps walking. He disappears behind a large group of high schoolers for a few moments, but after they've passed she is able to see him a distance off standing in front of one of those stuffed animal prize machines. You know, the ones with the claw that's usually almost impossible to use to actually win anything. He makes a show of looking as if he's scoping out something inside that he wants, he moves closer to the controls, and after glancing about as if to make sure no one was watching...

He sticks his hand into the machine. Yep, phases right through the glass. Is he literally trying to rob a prize machine? Of a stuffed animal toy? Certainly looks that way. He's targeted one of the toys, a large fluffy zebra that is unrealistically round, and appears to be pushing it toward the drop chute.
Alice Jones     "What in the-?" Alice says as she walks over, haphazardly placing the guitar into the case and walking over. "Hey, you." she says as she notices Blurr messing with one of the machines. "I didn't realize you were /that/ much more than an ordinary person... Shoulda guessed though."
Blurr     The toy drops into the chute, and he pulls it out of the opening on the front of the machine just as she walks up. "Scrap!" he hisses, startling a bit once again. "Alice! Hi again. Uh..." he glances around anxiously. "Look, I don't know what you're talking about. I just thought I'd grab a toy for my daughter." Daughter, sure. He hardly looks old enough to be a dad. "She loves..." he glances down at the stuffed animal. "...zebras." The stripy things.
Alice Jones     "Look, don't be ashamed OK?" Alice says, walking up to pat him on the back, "Doesn't matter what you can do... You're still someone who can walk, talk, be a person... Enough reason for me to think well of you. Plus as I said, you seem to value peace too. Not everyone does."
Blurr     'Michael' nods quickly. "Uh-huh. Good. Yeah, good. Great. I'm glad you think well of me. But really, nothing to see here, just another ordinary guy getting a toy for his loved ones..." Oh it's not that he's ashamed...it's just...

Suddenly his eyes widen. He suddenly thrusts the zebra toy into Alice's arms. "Quicktakethistakeitandrunoutside," he whispers urgently. He reaches into the machines again and pushes another zebra just like the one he'd taken before into the slot.
Alice Jones     "Eh?" Alice says, looking confused, "I'm not-" then shrugs and kicks off the ground, her Stand's clawed foot pushing off as well as she sails off towards the exit and slides through the automatic doors giving them /just/ enough time to open for her. It seems she trusts him if nothing else, even though the urgency is odd.
Blurr     "Don't drop it and don't give it to anyone else, whatever you do. I'll find you. Now go, go!" Blurr urges. As soon as she's off, he takes the other zebra toy and sprints off in the opposite direction.

The doors slide open just in time, and Alice finds herself in the parking lot. The urgency may have seemed odd at first, but in a few moments it becomes a bit clearer as three armed men start to quickly advance toward her from behind, pushing through the crowd. From the looks on their faces, they -aren't- playing around.
