Peridot     A giant hand-shaped shadow loomed over the city. The gem warship was on the move. It had a strange destination indeed. It stopped ominously around the downtown area. A bustling center of activity and high-end entertainment. The giant hand shaped ship then pointed at a particular building.

    The Museum of Natural History.

The fingertip began to glow and after a single moments delay it let loose a flurry of explosive laser blast. Though it didn't seem to be targeting the museum itself. Merely, the surrounding buildings. The giant hand was creating chaos, destruction. It was creating a distraction so that it's occupants could go about their mission.

Once the destruction had been sown, a small green orb lowered from the ship and made it's way at the steps of the museum. Amidst the fleeing, and screaming people it settled and a doorway opened up. Peridot stepped down from the vessel, her arms clenched at her side. Her mechanical fingers curled into fist. Substituting her normal escort, Jasper or Lapis was.. a quadruped creature, Bramble Patch. Peridot had not met this particular creature before inviting her onto her ship, and she hadn't quite briefed her on the mission yet. Rushed as this mission was.  But she was a confederate, therefore she was a resource Peridot was willing to utilize.

Peridot cleared her throat.  The duo was surrounded by flame and rubble, except for the museum in front of them which had been untouched. "You may break the people. But do not break the artifacts within if you can help it. We are searching for a particular one of interest to me."
Alice Jones     In a small coffeehouse's rubble lies Alice Jones, who sees the destruction going on as a ghostly pair of arms with claws toss off a large hunk of rubble, before the figure phases out of her body and moves to assist others as she looks up at the ship. "Looks like we've got a little something to do." she says. Looking around at the immediate area she then sighs. "Dammit. Can't save all these people... More destruction will probably follow if I let this go on." she says, as the figure fades back into her. It seems the people don't recognize that something is lifting things off of them, but Alice walks over towards the museum before a ghostly leg kicks off of the ground and sends her flying up to the rooftop of the museum as she looks at the ship and she grins a smug grin and points. "Give 'em hell." she says, as the figure phases out of her once more... This time clearly visible as a demonic-looking figure of midnight blue, with black flames for hair and glowing yellow eyes. It bellows as though it were some sort of cross between beast and man as it starts tossing bolts of black flame up towards the ship. "NOBODY GETS TO MESS WITH THESE PEOPLE, YOU HEAR ME?" she shouts to the ship above... And then, she notices the two figures walking down from the ship and squints, attempting to get a better look from the high ground.
Bramble Patch     "Finally!" Bramble Patch is practically estatic at that as she steps off the spherical craft. "I was getting tired of people always wanting something but not wanting to hurt anyone. And don't break anything important. Duh. Would defeat the whole purpose if things. Lead the way!"

Escort? Be the 'muscle' for a more intellectual type? Sure, she can handle that. Nothing new there. As long as she's getting to fill her 'bad girl' role Bramble isn't really going to be picky about who or what for.
Peridot     "The humans are beneath me. If I had the resources for it, I would see all of them exterminated. You may hurt as many of them as you wish." She clasp her hands behind her back as she started forward. "As it is, it appears as though they've managed to get their grubby little meat stumps on ancient gem artifacts from back when we owned this planet." Her head tilted somewhat. "At least, when we owned.. the portion of it that belongs to our universe. Either way, as representative of Homeworld. it is my rightful property and I intend on taking it back."

She started up the steps, but paused as she looked up. Someone was attacking the warship! "It seems as though we have company." She sneered. "The warship can handle itself under a prolonged assault. Let us hurry inside before they take notice. Perhaps we can have our bounty and be back out before a large battle must commence." She went on pragmatically. Her hand formed a blaster, and shot the front door, leaving it a smoldering wreck of metal and glass. But, the way before them was now open. Peridot is the first to step through.

"Come, let's hurry." She called to the pony.
Alice Jones     "GUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAAA!" the figure cries out as it spews a black flame from its mouth, coating the ship for a few seconds before it finally burns off. "...That thing's not going to go down..." she mutters, as the figure fades back into her body. "New plan." she says, as she looks at a skylight and says, "...Well, a little broken glass for a flashy entrance that'll save lives. Why not?" she asks, smiling as she smashes the glass with the figure's claw and then jumps down into the hole so created... Before the figure phases out of her and claws a pillar, slowing her descent as it catches her.

Touching down on the ground, Alice looks at the two entering. "So." she says, "Got a particular reason why grand theft has to involve... Oh, I don't know. BLOWING UP A CITY BLOCK?!"
Bramble Patch Straight to the point. Definately can appreciate that.

Bramble Patch trotted through the opening afterwards, then turned her head to the side. An explosion didn't take long to attract museum security, either. "They just never know when its for their own good to stay out of the way!" She pulls some seeds out of a pocket of her vest, and as she tosses them off to the side the magic gem on her headband starts to glow. When they hit the ground the seeds sprout almost instantly, entangling the guards in thorny, constricting vines.

Okay so it's not the most lethal method, but hey, those things -hurt-.
Peridot     Peridot shields her face as the glass flies around her. An uncomfortable expression on her face as Alice Jones appears. "Gaahh.." She grumbles. No such luck, it seems. "It was meant for you hero types to be too busy saving lives, instead of trying to stop me." Peridot grimaces, as she moves behind Bramble. Always quick to put someone stronger between her and a threat. Once a line of defense had been established, she dramatically points towards Alice.

"I'm on official gem business. Taking back what belongs to us to begin with! How about you clear out of here before my four-legged ally does.... -that-" She pauses to point to the entangled guards. "Except to you and that bizarre face!"
Alice Jones     "I can't save everyone. If people can't accept that, they shouldn't be in the hero business. Besides... Putting you away, how many more lives will that save? Five? Five hundred?" Alice asks, "You're after something much more valuable than that, I'd wager... Something of much greater power than what you have now. But it's a guess, maybe it's the wrong one. Time will tell, yeah?" she asks, as her Stand phases out of her body. "So let's put it this way. Turn around, and I won't beat the daylights out of both of you for all the damage you've caused." she explains, then looks towards the guards. "It'll hurt, but flesh is stronger than plants. Or if you value comfort more than expedience, you can wait for me to fight these two."
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch is also entirely use to having someone hide behind her. "Be glad it's only -a- block, twit." Granted it's not cowering like Jinxel tends to do, but it's still essentially hiding. "And don't think I won't just because I happen to be a small brightly colored and debatably cute pony." She even stomps a hoof on the floor and snorts out her nostrils much like a full sized normal horse would do.

And then the girl goes and... whatever the hell was that? "What kind of buckin' weirdo is this? Pfff. Daylights. No follower of Nightmare Moon fears the light!"

Drawing on more of the corrupt botanical magic, Bramble scowls as large thorny spikes sprout from the shoulders of her vest, only to shoot off moments later like rockets towards Alice and her whatever that thing is.
Peridot     Peridot brings up her holo-pad and begins typing away with it. "I suppose I can commend that pragmatic view point." Peridot comments. "Keep her busy, Patch.  I will see what I can do about the artifact."
Peridot was not much of a fighter, even if she was equipped for skirmishes thanks to her limb enhancers. But when given the choice, she typically opted for making progress in the mission. And so, when Bramble launches her attack-- Peridot immediately starts running a different direction. It appears she was abandoning the fight, and heading towards the space exhibit of the museum. She violently pushes a panicked museum patron to the side, as she makes her dash through a narrow pathway.

This left Alice a choice, between pursuing Peridot, or focusing on battling Bramble! Should she focus on the brains or the brawn? Or perhaps some creative solution that could handle the both of them?
Alice Jones     "...Crap." Alice says, as Judas Priest phases through her and braces himself, tanking the hit. It seems that his skin is fairly tough as the thorns only create light scratches, though some scratches appear on Alice's face and hands in the same locations as well. Seems that they're not totally different entities, what with damage being reflected on her. Glancing left and right, her Stand's hands then ignite once more as she throws a pair of bolts in either direction. She's not that fast, but her Stand /does/ tend to pack a punch.
Bramble Patch "Oh give me a break, why is it always fire?!" Is as much protest as Bramble Patch gets a chance for being getting blasted by said bolts of flame. She and fire have a long and bitter hatred for each other, even if she isn't necessarily weak to it. Shaking off some of the resulting soot, she sits down and rummages around in her pockets. "I -was- going to just distract you, but now you went and made me mad."

Finding what she's looking for, she pulls out some sort of unusually large... pepper? That she bites the stem off of as if pulling the pin from a grenade and then throwing it towards Alice.

Turns out that's a pretty good comparison, as it detonates much like one, too!
Peridot     Peridot gasp as her body is slammed by the bolt, throwing her into the wall. "Ahk! Hot hot hot hot hot!" She cries out, holding her side. Looked like this was going to be tougher than she hoped for. The smell of burnt clothing filling her nostrils. "You'll pay for that, you clod!" Painfully she pushed herself back up to her feet and fired off a wild pot-shot back in the direction of Alice before ducking through an open arch way and around a corner.

She disappears from the main lobby where the battle was taking place, removing her from sight. She ran through the space exhibit, her boots clanking loudly on the ground. This hall had a dark ceiling with glinting bulbs to resemble stars. To continue the fight, Alice would have to follow, otherwise she would be left alone with Bramble patch.
Alice Jones     "Augh!" Alice says, flailing as the hot pepper grenade hits her. Fun fact of the day: Capsaicin is the active ingredient in hot peppers AND pepper spray! So when it gets in her eyes, Alice is crying HARD as she kneels down and says. "Ghhhhhk." choking a bit at the fumes as she stands up. "Now you've done it..." she says. "Where in the world do you /get/ those things anyway? Explosive hot peppers... Sheesh." and then looks left and right through bleary eyes. "...No way I'm getting both of you at once." she says. "Best to try to finish this as fast as I can!" she calls out.

As Judas Priest rises into the air, the black flames around his wrist flare up as the black flames around his mouth start pouring out, and the room /really/ starts to heat up and fire coalesces into a relatively larger ball. It's no super-attack, and not a finisher, but it's still a stronger hit than usual. Stands are after all, strong relative to the mental state of their users... She may not be truly desperate in her heart of hearts, yet.
Bramble Patch "Not get. -Grown-," Bramble Patch replies with a cocky smirk. Which is just as quickly gone when the thing starts powering up another fire attack. Lacking the more elaborate abilities of other Pony races she just dives to the side when Judas fires (ha ha ha). THe fireball hitting the floor still releases a wave of heat that sends her rolling to the side though, knocking over several of those roped banisters museums use to section off the displaces.

"You're gonna have to do better than that!" Thought the spicy explosive pepper was bad? Then she's definately not going to like what comes next as Bramble Patch pulls one of the flasks of noxious looking liquid and chugs it down. Then lets loose with a belch that not only sounds nasty, but expels a cloud of toxic fumes into the air as well.
Peridot     Peridot found herself with a little bit of a reprieve. But, this is why she rarely went anywhere without her escorts! Even if she had to make do with a technicolor pony. Though she could scarcely criticize anyone for their color palette, green as she was.

"Where is it.. Where is it." She says out loud as she walks among the various displays.

"Ah-HA!" She stopped for a glass case. Inside of it, there appeared to be a chunk of gem shards stuck together. The humans mistakenly believed it to be meteorite chunks, stuck as it was within a piece of rock. "I've been wondering where you were.." She murmurs softly before smashing the glass display with her metal hands. Then delicately she picks up the shard. "Now I can properly study you."
Alice Jones     Coughing a bit more, Alice kneels and punches the floor. "You want to do it like that? FINE!" she says, her stand receding back towards her leg as she kicks off the ground with an extra assist as she flies towards Bramble and lets out a stand-enhanced claw. "GUUURAAAAAAA!" he roars as Alice herself goes flying past. Whether the claw does anything... That's up in the air. Literally.
Bramble Patch Wham! Bramble Patch gets plowed over by the attack, sending her rolling across the floor once more. This time into a display case that doesn't give as easily as the ropings did. That's going to leave a bruise, if the ringing in her ears doesn't get to her first. "Uggh." Was that a rattle as she shook her head? Or maybe just something being shaken free.

"Oh, go ahead. Keep fighting." The pony turns her head to crack her neck as she gets up. "The harder you work yourself, the faster the poison spreads." But we can't rely on that alone, can we? Of course not. Got to keep her attention while Peridot works. With a snort the pony snatchs the thorned ring from her side and flings it towards the Stand using woman.
Peridot     Peridot clutches the gem shard cluster. "I suppose it's fortunate you are lodged in this rock." She holds it up, letting light filter through the translucent shards. "Otherwise that would greatly complicate this mission. But don't worry, I'll cut you free once I get you back on the ship."

She then turns and heads back the way she came, pausing at the entry way. "Patch! I got what we came here for!" She yells across the room.
Alice Jones     "Tch." Alice says, "There's got to be a way to..." then grins. "Neither of you are the most physically powerful, are you?" she asks as Judas Priest's hands flare up once more and she seems to be looking around. "You know what they say about good performances..." and chuckles. "THEY REALLY BRING DOWN THE HOUSE!" as Judas Priest starts firing blasts willy-nilly in an attempt to cause structural damage. After all, if her Stand can handle one collapse...
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch exhales another heavy snort. "Typical brute fighter, thinks everything is about being physical." She turns an ear in Peridot's direction, but before she can respond to that Alice's Stand starts unloading blasts left and right. "And you were worried about -me- breaking things?! She's turning into one of those crazys that destroy everything just to keep you from getting it."

The pony leaps to the side as a piece of infrastructure falls to the ground almost on top of where she had been standing. "Hah! You missed, sodclopper." She even rears up to waggle her hooves by her ears while sticking her tongue out in a raspberry, mimicing the mocking she's seen humans do. At least as best as she can without actual fingers.

Unfortunately while she's busy being a jerk another piece of rubble crashes into a display, sending it toppling over on top of her.

It takes a moment before the resulting pile rattles around a bit and then is shoved mostly aside as Bramble gets back on her hooves. Good thing Earth Ponies are so damn resiliant. Or stubborn. Take your pick, the two tend to overlap.

"Then don't just stand there, get back to your ship!" Mangled mane curls flip about her head as Bramble turns it back towards Alice and her freaking-out fire flinger. "You suck at this, y'know that? You're doing more damage than we did!" At first it would look like she's about to leave as well as she turns around.... but then her headband stone glows again, and several vines sprout up to tangle around some of the rubble, binding it into heavy lump that Bramble Patch bucks up and kicks with her back legs towards their aggressor(s?) with a tremendous amount of force.

Anyone that's been kicked by a horse of any size knows how much strength those legs can pack, especially when mad!
Peridot     "Of course." Peridot answered back, as she begins sprinting across the room. However she finds the sudden upheaval and destruction quite a surprise. As she stumbles. "You maniac! You're destroying the artifacts!" Peridot, for all her villainy, at least had some appreciation for ancient relics. Irreplaceable tomes of knowledge they were. Destroyed!

However that appeared to be the least of her problems as a piece of rocky rubble dislodged from the ceiling and slams into her back. This sends her sprawling onto the ground. The chunk of gem shards falls from her metal fingers clattering across the ground and slams into a wall. The rock that contained the shards burst into tiny pebbles freeing the cluster of translucent gem pieces.

"Oh no..." Peridot looks up with a wide eyed expression. "No no no!" She reaches forward. But it's too late. The cluster of gems raises into the air, beginning to glow. The light stretches out from the source, creating various limbs and pieces, screaming faces until finally a mutant gem stands before the three of them. It looked like one giant mouth with jagged teeth. It had no feet, instead a ring of hands sprouted from the end of long arms. Seven of them, all totaled. It walked like a monsterous crab. It let out an inhuman yell, opening it's wide maw to reveal a giant eyeball in it's mouth. "We have to poof it!" Peridot screams scrambling back up to her feet.

The mutant gem appears to take orders from no one. And it picks its target at random and charges them to take a monstrous bite! All it knows is rage, and violence. A mindless attack drone from a dark experiment.
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch just stares for a moment at what happens, then holds up a hoof towards the mutant. "Okay, just saying... But I live in the darkest creepiest forest in Equestria, inhabited by everything from cockatrice and timber wolves to the elderich shadow of one of the ruling royalty, and even -I- think that is just bucked up bizarre." The monstrousity was more mishmashed that Discord, and a lot less entertaining by the look of it.

Then she puts the hoof to her forehead as she exhales slowly. Normally she'd be all for just ditching it for the hero to deal with, but... "... Only because the thing is as much of a threat to us as it is anything else." When she opens her eyes again they're completely engulfed in glowing green ether, making it look like they've been replaced by some hellish will-o-wisps. The gemstone that allows her to bring part of Everfree's wild magic outside of the forest is also glowing as Bramble lowers her head, and a beam of magical energy erupts from it. Hopefully to hit the failed fusion experiment, where the cast magic starts sprouting gnarled tangling vines and thorny boughs. Even as the mass winds around the mutant from the ends of the streams sprout several flytrap-like heads that snap down like lunging vipers.

"And think of a more fearsome term to use than 'poof'! This ain't no powderpuff!" Bramble's never too busy to throw a bit of snark to her allies either, though. She's trying to at least be constructively snarky this time!
Alice Jones     "What in the-?" Alice says, Judas Priest bracing against hte attack as she starts panting. "No more fooling around!" she says, Judas Priest bursting into flames as they both kick off the ground and then start falling towards it as her stand starts spinning like a drill, claws forward and she cries out, "HAMMERFALL!" seeming to be calling her attacks this time as the beast just starts spewing and leaking fire from all angles in a vague, "T" shape between the spewing to the sides and to the back. Seems it kind of looks like a hammer. Kind of.
Peridot     "ERRRGGH!" The mutant gem wails its cry of anguish and pain as the attacks beat down on it. It's bitten and burned and for the moment is driven back against the wall from the onsalught of forces.

"That's it!" Peridot points. "We need to force it to release its physical form! It will retreat back into it's gem and we can contain it." She gets back up, and runs away from the beast.

Meanwhile, the Mutant creature finds its bearing once more. It's seven hands begin gripping the ground and propel it a rapid pace across the room as it seeks to barrel over one of the unfortunate combatants!
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch shifts her head a bit to the side to look. "We? What we? Don't you have a hand blaster or something to use to help?" Not that she is all that surprised that Peridot would rather lay low and let them handle all the dirty look.

Unfortunately the moment of divided attention is enough for the mutant to regather itself and charge. It may of just been at random, or it may of been trying to get to the Gem, but either way it's Bramble Patch that's in the middle of the path and getting trampled by several hand-feet, leaving a bruised and battered pony sprawled on the ground in its wake, what looks like a hand print smacked across her face to boot. "Ugh. Hands! Don't see what that crazy unicorn sees in them." Her somewhat amusing injuries do little to divert from how sick and wrong this thing's existance is or how dangerous the threat is.

The pony is hardly down for the count yet, though. Think Bramble, think. The thing is big, it has a huge mouth, and a giant ey.. oh of course! Bramble reachs into her vest and pulls out a flask of bubbling red-yellow liquid. Which only starts to boil and fume more after she gives it a few shakes. "Hey, eyesore!" She heaves the flask of volatile chemical straight for the thing's mouth and the eyeball inside it. Volatile enough of a concoction that upon the container breaking the liquid itself will catch aflame to burn from heat as much as the acid itself.
Alice Jones     And then... The damage from the battle /really/ takes its toll as larger and larger chunks of debris come falling down on the mutant monster. "Ha!" Alice says, "Just as planned!" because clearly she was aiming for the beastie that would invariably show up, rather than the individuals attempting to loot whatever spawned the creature. Clearly. "Don't mess with us, freak!" she says, pointing to it.
Peridot     "Bah.." Peridot grumbled. "Patch. Leave it."

"There are more where that one came from. If she wants to deal with that thing so bad, she can have it." Peridot makes her way back out the front of the Museum, tapping at her holopad and calling their escape pod. "Let's get out of here."
Bramble Patch "Best thing I've heard all night!" Bramble scrambles to follow after Peridot while Alice is busy taunting the thing more.
Peridot The mutant gem is 'poofed' under the rubble, leaving behind the original harmless cluster of gem shards. Alice has a few options. She can crush the shards. She can leave it there, or she can take it into her inventory.
Peridot The gem feels strange, several different textures mashed together into one entity. It clinks softly as it drops into Alice's inventory. One thing is for certain, she had best be careful. It was harmless now, but without information about this creature it was dangerous to keep around. She had no way of knowing if, or when it would create a new physical form and rampage once more. Best take it to an expert!
