Blurr     Cybertron, once a glittering jewel; the thriving home planet of Primus' children. But now it is nothing more than a charred metal husk of what it once was, century upon century of war having ravaged its surface and depleted its resources. The rugged landscape and crumbling cities have not been tended to for millions of years, the civilization that once inhabited them having either perished in the war or escaped into the vast reaches of deep space.

Though it is far from a pleasant place to be, the ruins may have some hidden treasures to offer--some of the raw materials might be possible to salvage, and who knows, some people's 'trash' might be gold to someone else in the Multiverse! Never know what one might find in the ruins of an ancient yet highly technologically advanced civilization. However, any explorer ought to be wary--even if the planet is mostly dead, that doesn't mean it is -completely- devoid of life...
Karian Icefang     While no scavanger or raider, the idea of a civilization made completely of living machines was an intruiging idea. Moreso to the adepts and lords of the Adeptus Mechanicus. If they had their way, they would have picked the world clean and stripped it down to learn it's secrets, or declare it a place of tech-heresy. As it stood now, they had sent a representative along with a sufficient guard of space marines. At the head of this group was Karian.
"A truely strange world....but I've heard the people who lived here are extremely brave. I know of one...he changed into a truck to get around." He mused, much to the total shock of the tech-priest.
Blurr     Upon setting foot on the surface of the planet, it becomes quite obvious to Karian and his team that this place had been inhabited by beings of rather gargantuan size. The buildings, though most have been reduced to ruins, tower into the skies far above their heads.

But there is an eerie feeling in the air, something that tells them they aren't alone here. A fleeting shadow here, a scuffle behind a pile of debris there....and are those glowing yellow orbs staring out at them from the shadows?
Karian Icefang     Karian narrows his eye at the scuffle and keeps his bolt pistol close. Meanwhile the tech-priest was already sprewing prayers in binary out. "Brothers, stand strong. I get the feeling we aren't alone."
Blurr     Suddenly, something horrific comes charging out at them from inside of a dilapidated building. It is quite massive, about the size of a typical sedan-sized car, only it resembles some twisted version of a stag beetle with spikes all over its sides and legs.

Whatever it truly is, its intentions are clear: it's hungry, and lunch just showed up on the front doorstep. It hasn't had a good meal for hundreds of years, and anything -alive- be it organic or not beats vorns-old and dead scrap metal, really.
Karian Icefang     "By the Omnissiah!" screams the tech-priest, broken from his prayers by the sight of the creature. "Stand back, priest. Brothers, Open fire!" Barks Karian. The bolters of all 5 men are raised and roar out their greeting to the creature, .75 caliber rounds aiming to tear into and wreck it's day.
Blurr     The creature screeches in pain as the high-caliber rounds tear into its body. It may be huge, but it isn't as durable as it looks, especially given how long it has gone without a proper food source. Pink energon and other body fluids spew out, but the monster seems determined.

The tech priest's screams seem to have gotten its attention, so it goes for him first, grasping at him with its massive mandibles in an attempt to grab him and devour him whole!
Karian Icefang     Karian watches as the priest is lunged for. Thankfully he moves fast enough to save him, but at the cost of his mechanised arm. He howls in dispair at the loss, viewing that as a set-back in his quest to be more machine. Karian continues to fire into the beast, and draws his power sword. "Just try to eat me, beast." He taunts, voice carrying a metallic tinge to it.
Blurr     The Insecticon manages to rip off Karian's mechanical arm, eagerly devouring it, though it is not much of a snack given how small it is. Still, better than nothing, right? Well he's got its attention now with that taunt! It howls and swings its head, attempting to knock him off of his feet with the stag horns.
Karian Icefang     The insecticon may swing it's head, but it would find that the sword drawn had a power field around it. This would cause a jolt of sheer pain from the field, which appeared like crackling lightning along the blade. But it would also attempt to cut deep into the metal, and slice it clean off.
Blurr     The monster shrieks angrily at the unexpectedly painful jolt from the field, rearing back on its hind legs. The blade manages to cut off a portion of one of the horns, the sharp hunk of metal clattering to the ground. It backs away slightly, and this time swipes at him with a bladed leg, attempting to stab him and pin him to the ground.
Karian Icefang     Karian grits his teeth and ducks under the leg, only for that poor tech-priest to get it right in the head. Karian curses at that, growling as he full on rushes the insecticon, aiming to stab that sword right into what he assumed was it's skull.
Blurr     Ah, that poor techpriest. The creature's leg impales his head, crushing it entirely. At once, the Insecticon moves to spring upon the prey, devouring him immediately. However, the distraction provides an opening for Karian to rush in and plunge his weapon right into the monster's mouth! It rears back, howling in pain. Some sort of green, corrosive liquid squirts out of its mouth, splashing onto its attacker.
Karian Icefang     Karain makes sure not to let any of the liquid get onto him, but makes sure to grab a sample for study back home. Still, he drew the blade back out and aimed to strike again, aiming for a further bladed feeding.
Blurr     The final blow finally comes, with the second strike felling the beast for good. Its head practically falls apart into two pieces, and it goes limp before Karian, collapsing to the ground with a THUMP.
Karian Icefang     Karian growls softly as it falls. He didn't like failing his tasks, but then again.....he had the feeling no one would miss the tech-priest. "What a strange creature.....Salvage what you can. I want to know more."
Blurr     The monster is certainly available to be salvaged, though that might be limited to however much they can carry. They probably don't have too much time though...that one definitely wasn't the only one. The commotion has probably attracted some others--so it's likely wise for them to quickly take what they can and leave before they're overwhelmed by a swarm of those things. In fact...a strange sillhouette of something has appeared in the sky overhead that looks suspiciously like a flying one!
