Finna     There's plenty of NOTHING INTERESTING at the Warp Gate that Finna transmits coordinates for. It opens up into what seems to be a farm. A completely ordinary, mundane farm. A bit small, though. It's barely half a city block in size. And in that space it's nice and warm. There's grass and a few trees.

OUTSIDE THAT RANGE, the area transitions INSTANTLY into frozen, snow-covered wasteland. Which means it SHOULD be hellaciously cold out there. There's signs of a storm way out there, but here in the Greenfield it's almost pleasant. Just a touch chilly, maybe.

A half-dozen longhouses and some storage huts have been erected neatly in one side of things, and other ancient structures likely used for farming. Trouble is...

There's not a person in sight. No farmers at least. There IS a young woman who, to the willful Batman, seems a bit weird. And she's sitting around a small campfire, roasting a few fish on sticks. The longhouses are quiet. No smoke comes from their chimneys...
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks as he walks through the warp gate and at the "Farm?" he mentions to himself as he stands there and the warp gate closes. looking around, he blinks as he sees the furtile land and then the frozen area around it. "Ok...." he states as he turns and spots someone around a campfire. Walking, Finna would see a man in black, from head ot toe, with a red bat emblem on his chest and pointed ears, "You must be Finna," he says simply to her as he approaches.
Finna     "That's what it's supposed to--" Finna raises up, waving a fish-on-a-stick - and freezes in place the instant she gets a load of Terry's getup. Blank, stark shock's the first thing to show. Then bewilderment. Absolutely puzzled, Finna cants her head at the young man, tail wagging in a sort of lopsided rhythm and ears flattened down. Pursing her lips, she leans forward as if trying for a better look...

"That I am. In the flesh! 'Baaaaatman', huh..."

Yeah, she's a bit speechless at this appearance.

"... Are you from Paragon City? Costumes like that seem to be all the rage over there!"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks, "No," he says. "Gotham City, New Jersey," he adds as he looks at the fish. "Sorry to have startled you," he says to her as he walks closer and is not too worried about getting cold, as the batsuit protects him from a lot of things. "Nice place here," he says as he looks. "Although I am curious as to how the frozen tundra has not overran this area," he comments as he gestures and looks. "And I am not picking up any technology, so I am guesing magic," he asks.
Finna     "Ah, the Greenfield? If I knew how THAT was done I'd be famous overnight in these parts. It's some powerful sorcery that's been lingering here for I couldn't tell you how many hundreds, thousands of years. All that's left of a bigger city that's gone now. But you're right... about there being no fancy, beeping gadgets around here. Except what you bring with you. And this WAS a farm. Jury is still out on where the farmers all went. They might've taken the warp gate... might've been seduced off into the snow by Fair Folk... frozen fog's not unheard of in these parts but it should've left SOMETHING behind..." Finna scratches her cheeks, unsettled at these thoughts... but eventually shrugs, sighing.

"It's my problem. Not yours. Or not my problem. Welcome, nonetheless. Want some fish?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis thinks and nods, "I have not ate today," he says to her as he sits down as she talks and he listens, ""So the entire place is empty, just you?" he asks as looks at the city, "No trace of where they went huh?" he adds as he thinks, and looks as he takes the offered fish and eats it. "Taste's good," he says to her as he studies her then looks to the town again.
Finna     Finna grins, munching on her own fish as she once again sits down on the log near the fire. But her cheery look doesn't last long, nor does the wagging of her tail. "yeah. Empty. Raider's Respite, it's called. So the people here should've been pretty tough. NO sign of them. Aaaaaanyways..."

She reaches out and puts a hand on Batman's chest. Well, suit-chest. And taps a finger a few times.

"Girl." Her other hand points at her chest for obvious reasons. "Fox." Another point at her ears, which twitch... and wagging tail, as she wriggles her body a bit sidewise to show it off. The tail brushes against his leg before withdrawing.

"Is it really that hard to understand?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks and blinks, "I understand," he says. "It is just that for me, a foxgirl would be one who had their DNA ..." an dhe blinks, "Their genetic structure modified with a fox and pick up aspects of it," he comments. "They are called Splicers. But they got stopped cause the guy who gave them the DNA modifications was usning them to due stuff and get into trouble. Luckily I was able to reverse the modification," he says.
Finna     "DNA? ... Oh, bloodlines. Changing your bloodline after you're born's one of thsoe weird things people do in the Multiverse? ... well... in my case, this is a little gift from the goddess of the moon!"

Finna points up straight into the sky, where the moon - which looks quite similar to Earth's, just with different patterns of dark spots (are they craters? Hard to tell) - is in its half-filled phase.

But she brings that hand down a moment later and rests it on Batman's nose.

"How about you, though? Are you as well-built out of this get-up as in it?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks at her, "The suit confroms to the wearer," is all he states as he sits. "Looks similar to Earth's," he mentions. "Although I think I have figured out why there are no traces of the people here," he says as he eats his fish. "When this place arrived, they didn't travel with it. The Multiverse has a tendency of moving entire worlds and lands without people, or people with out worlds or both." he mentions.
Finna     "...." Finna's hopeful look twitches, lips pursing together. "Not very playful... or too dense to tell when you're being flirted with? Ah, I dunno... you're wrong about that. Head THAT way for a few hours..." She jabs a thumb directly behind her, "And you'll encounter the city of Tusk. Lots of people over there!"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks at her, "How about neither," he says to her in response to the playful and flirted with remark and says nothing else ont he subject, "Ah, maybe they left and went there, but there should have been a trail or something. Maybe magic got them, would not leave any trace I think," he comments as he sits there.
Finna     "Suit yourself. Or unsuit yourself." Finna snorts into a palm, clearly not terribly serious about that. "Yeah. I'll find them! ... Hopefully still alive. Really, I think they just bolted through the warp gate and got lost." She somehow is now holding the stick and munching on her fish WITH HER TAIL. It has GROWN IN LENGTH when he wasn't looking at it directly, maybe? "... So WHY do you dress up like that? I can tell a lot of work went into that outfit! But just... WHY?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks, "When people are unsure, of what the night is, and a lot of people fear bats. Plus," he says as he touches a button on his suit and disappears, "When you can do this and then appear from no where," he adds as he appears behind her, "Its a way to cause fear and possibly stop them from doing things that might cause a problem or getting hurt," he adds as he walks around. "By the way, your tail grew sme," he adds as he looks at her. "And I take the suit off when I need to go out and not be Batman and to sleep, which is little."
Finna     Finna daintily grabs the stick from her tail's grasp... then the fluffy appendage rather VISIBLY extends farther, growing multiple feet in just a few seconds to wrap around one of Batman's arms. "But one of a few things I can make this body 'o mine do!" She answers plainly, one hand against her hip rather confidently. ".... sooooo you're doing the masked vigilante thing? Is that it? Disguise?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods as he looks, "Yea," he states simply. "I had a reason when I started, that is completely different then the one I have now," he mentions to her as he thinks, "And I am gonna have to be heading back to GOtham, got work to do that will require me to be active," he comments as he thinks, "If you need help looking fo rthe citizens here, let me know." he adds.
Finna     "Hmmm. Your idea of justice and mine are probably nowhere alike, but helping each other's what allies do. So I'll extend the same offer!" Finna answers in a rather genuine tone. "Honestly though, this is a horrible place to being exploring dressed like that. Better let me handle it for now. I know these wilds like the back of my hand. I'm not kidding. People die out there a lot. But I'm a part of this nature, you could say."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks and nods, "Thanks," he says to her as he looks. "This suit has kept me alive in the artic, and it is pretty cold there. And I have ways of not getting lost no matter where I go," he states as he grins and heads for the warp gate, "Thank you for the fish, have a good evening," he adds as he activates the gate and walks through it.
