Owner Pose
Twilight Sparkle      After being rushed here on Staren's ship, Twilight is quickly brought into Union Medical. Staren's nanomachines have removed most of the poison by now, but she is still having trouble breathing and several of her internal organs are in distress despite Staren's powerful healing nanites. As such, when the pony arrives in medical, she is quickly hooked up to an oxygen machine and given emergency healing treatments.

It doesn't take long to stabilize her with the Union's resources and Staren's attention, but once she is stable Twilight is only barely conscious. She can talk, but just at a whisper. And then there is that gash in her horn, right near the base, that goes at least half-way through her horn.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis is here in Medical of Njorun Station, waiting with other medics for the arrival of those injured from whatever has happened tonight. He has on a white coat and all the stuff a doctor in training would have.

The medical bay is busy as things are ready for the injured and Terry is especially ready as to see the injured and get samples to work on a way to make an anti-toxin. But for now, he will worry on getting everyone stable. And for now, he waits with the others. When the first wounded arrives, Terry grabs the patient and follows her to the room, "Alright, lets see here," he says as he looks over the injuries, "Gash to the horn," and he pulls out a stestoscope and listens as he looks at the machines, "Breathing is troubled," he states as he looks at the injuries, and blinks, . o 0 (I'm a Doctor-in-training, not a vet. And I am working on a pony.....) he thinks as he looks, "Lets get some blood drawn from those coming in and see if we can figure out a way to counteract whatever was used on them by this ... Droid," he comments as grabs a needle and looks for a place to draw some blood... "Um... Where at on here is a good place to get blood drawn?" he asks the peopel around him. "Never been a medic on a pony before."
Staren MINUTES AGO

                            WE'RE APPROACHING NJORUN
THE CYANOGEN HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM YOUR SYSTEM
WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME OUT NOW?

The words appear in Equestrian on the inside of the healing vat. Once Twilight nods, the pod drains, and then the lid opens, paramedics helping Twilight out. The Space Wolves have already been transferred -- the Njorun paramedics are carrying Staren (He had a skintight suit of some kind on under the armor) and Jayale and now Twilight back to the medical bay. She'll have to cough up the gel before she can breathe again. It's not fun.

NOW

Staren wakes up in the next bed, in a hospital robe. By elite-after-combat standards he's 'fine', but now he's been admitted to the medbay and has to at stick around until the doctors are sure the emergency teleport didn't cause any lasting harm, or alternatively, what lasting harm it /did/ cause. It certainly tired him out. He's barely awake as it is, and is struggling to catch up on what's happened since the teleport. He looks over at Terry. "The gas is out of her system... the sample's back on my ship, I'll have it delivered."

He furrows his brow slightly at Twilight. He has access to the healing vat's last readings. "You weren't done... you still have lung damage..." then he looks shocked. "your horn..." and then a faint smile. "You're alive, though. You'll get through this."
Twilight Sparkle      Twilight, learned pony that she is, gestures to a point on her upper foreleg for Terry. "Here..." she says, her voice just a whisper. Then, she lets her foreleg flop down again. When Staren is brought in, she looks toward him and smiles weakly. "..Hi Staren." she says after a moment, lifting a foreleg to wave to him.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods and looks at Staren, "Thanks," he says to him as he draws blood from the location and nods,"Ok, got a few samples," he says as he places one in a tray and looks as he places another in a second tray. "What kind of weapon was used? Bladed, energy, projectile, gas?" he asks as he looks at Staren and Twilight. "Also, do we have blood samples before the fight on record? That way I can compare the two?" he asks as he marks the tubes and moves over to the others who are injured to do the same on getting blood samples.
Staren     Staren waves back, smiling. "Hi Twilight." He looks up at the ceiling. "At least we weren't paralyzed this time."

Staren now gives Terry a confused look. "Dawn sent you the video. You /saw/ what happened. He had a lot of weapons. Some kind of stunner. He used a vibroblade on her horn... bastard... then gas. I wasn't exposed, I was in an environmentally sealed suit the entire time."
Twilight Sparkle      Twilight nods at each weapon listed by Terry. "The poison was delivered in gaseous form." she whispers, then winces as her horn sputters with magic a moment. "Nnn...blood samples. There should be some on file. This is not my first time in medical." she whispers. Then, she looks over at Staren again. "Are you alright?" she asks, holding out a forehoof toward him.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods as he listens. "That works," he says as he looks at the group. "I got the video, but not able to watch it yet," he adds as he looks. "I am not sure what medicine will heal the horn injury Twilight, but for your other wounds, should not be a problem," he states to her. "I will start working on this to get an anti-toxin created. But I know from your injuries, you will need to rest and either let medicine, magic or both heal you. Additionally, not sure of any additional issues that can come up from the gas that was used," he adds.
Staren     Staren looks back at her. "Physically? Probably. Emotionally... No." He holds out a hand to try and reach her hoof. "I love you. I watched someone almost maim you and state they planned to cut you up for analysis. And you're not alright. You're still hurt and I don't know how long it will take before you're healed."
Twilight Sparkle      Twilight reaches until her hoof makes it to Staren's hand. Then, she looks to Terry. "Thank you, Terry." she whispers, smiling weakly. "I did not know you were a medic. You seem to be full of surprises." Then, she looks at Staren again. "Try not to worry about it. If we start fearing the unknown, then we will start to fear everything, because everything is unknown. But..." Her smile fades. "..we cannot allow HK-47 to continue this campaign against us. He may never destroy the Union, but sooner or later he will succeed at killing someone. I will not allow him to do that."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis grins, "Yea, I have a lot of surprises," he states to her. "I am in the process of becoming a Doctor after I graduate from University. Well, with a concentration in microbiology, but a Doctor non-the-less," he mentions. "I also have other side duties I do that are a lot more dangerous," he says with a grin as he listens and thinks. "I wonder if I can get some info on him that might be helpful," he says outloud as he goes to get the info from Staren's ship as well and returns. "
Staren     Staren smiles as he reaches Twilight and squeezes her hoof, running his thumb back and forth over her fur. "I don't fear it, but it is frustrating. Your lungs will heal. I know less about your horn. I think... it would hurt you, if you've lost some of your magic power. I am sure we can find a way to fix it, but I don't yet understand the problem. ...But since you seem positive about it, that is reassuring." He looks up at the ceiling. "Yes. We'll... deal with him. But I have never plotted an assassination before, and neither have you. I suppose all we can do is learn and do our best. It is not as if we are alone in this, or without plenty of allies with experience with such things." He squeezes her hoof again.

And then Staren looks to Terry. "Do you have any thoughts on the matter? You said you work with Batman..." Oh, he's going. Staren looks back at Twilight for the time being, continuing to hold her hoof. "...How do you feel? Is there any pain?"
Twilight Sparkle      Twilight just continues to smile gently. "My horn...will take a long time to heal. But, it will heal. Until then, there is a patching compound that has been used by unicorns for a long time now. Horn injuries happen, usually by accident, and they can be quite disruptive to a unicorn's magic casting. The horn injury doesn't really hurt, but it definitely feels strange. I can feel my magic being disrupted by the injury."

She coughs suddenly, obviously still in some pain from the dose of poison to her lungs. "Nnng...it is hard to breathe." she says through her oxygen mask, then looks over as Terry returns. "What sort of info are you looking for?"
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks and thinks, "Well, Batman would, I would say, find as much info on the person, and study them. He would get all information he could and would find ways to figure out weaknesses. Rather it be infiltration or watching fights from a distance to going one on one with the person or persons," he states. "For example, the joker was a madman and Batman went against him many a time and he was finally able to beat him, since he died before I was born," he states. "The Joker that is, only he returned when I was.... 17 or so. But he was able to defeat him." he adds.

"Outside of that, he does things that causes people to fear him, due to his skill and knowledge. I am lucky to be learning the knowledge aspect with medicine, drugs, poisons, toxins and how to stop, delay or cure them," he adds as he watches. "Odds are that pain meds will start to kick in soon and help her rest. Is there anyone I should contact Twilight?" he asks her as he hears her question.

"Toxins in the blood react differently to people due to their DNA. Getting an clean blood sample allows me to get a base and then one that has been infected by a pathogen to see the effects on the blood. By seeing the effects and trying different ways to cure it, I can create somethign that will stop it, usually by a shot," he says to her. "On Earth, people get flu shots, and they are given the flu so their bodies can build the antibodies to fight it off. That's what I am gonna be doing. But like like said, each person is different, so I have to see what will stop it based on the blood. I have never done anything like this with a pony's DNA, and every human is different due to enviromental conditions where they are from."
Staren     Staren rubs her hoof with his thumb, wincing slightly when she says it's hard to breathe. Then he looks at Terry. "This is a toxin, not a virus. You can't create antibodies for it -- you make an antidote by finding another chemical that either counters the effects, or can safely be in the body while breaking the toxin down into something harmless. DNA is less a concern than physiology. If pony cells and pony bodies use the same chemical processes that human cells and human bodies do, they can be interfered with using the same chemicals. I don't remember off the top of my head how similar pony blood is to human blood... Cyanogen, if it's similar to cyanide, for instance... Cyanide works by binding to an enzyme required for respiration. Without the ability to respire, one soon /ex/pires. The antidote is a chemical that reacts with it to form a more harmless chemical."
Twilight Sparkle      Twilight thinks a moment, then nods to Terry. "Spike and my other friends in Equestria." she whispers. "HK said he would send them a recording of his attempt on my life. Spike should not have to see such things, and neither should any of the other ponyfolk. It is alright to tell them what happened, but try not to go into much detail. I was attacked, I was injured, I am fine."

Twilight smiles softly after that. "...but, they will want to know the details, despite how bad they are. If they insist...then it would be alright to tell them. Except Spike. He is just a baby dragon. He doesn't need to worry about such things."

Twilight Sparkle nods at Staren's words. "I do not know much about human physiology, but most mammals have similar biologic processes. There are sure to be differences, but they are likely to be minor."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods and writes this down. "Gotcha," he says. "I will send them the info and get to work on the antidote," he says. "And if any other samples can be gotten, that will help too. Caus eI have a feelig this HK is built mainly for a task of being an assissin from the sounds of it," he mentions as he nods to the two and heads for the lab.
