Yunomi Stadler     There is something about rainy days that Yunomi found familiar. The rain was falling in sheets of needle-like cold over the spires, causing the steam vents to hiss, creating a damp, murkey calignosity -- a haze of red and blue lights and the occasional flame far below her. She was sitting on a window sill, protected from the elements by glass. She'd just come "off the clock" -- her orders of manavines full. She had done a patrol, and contained some accidental wild growth from a very enthusiasic simic that got a little out of control. The fruits of her labor are sported on her arm, gauze wound around burns and lacerations. Today she was wearing a sleeveless leathery vest, the three-wing Izzet sigil planted over her heart, and loose brown leggings. Her bare feet were pressed against a warm pipe, her lap full of a variety of fruits.
Rhapsody     Meanwhile, in other parts of Nivix, the constant flow of paperwork needing to be filed for the experiements of the League seemed never ending. While the guildmaster had finally learned to deligate a majority of the 'boring' work to people that were actually assigned to -do- the task by the .. former guildmaster, it had taken her a while to realize that she didn't have to do -everything-.

A 'quota' completed, Rhapsody had taken her customary clipboard from her desk and started to walk the halls, circling each floor, checking on the magewrights, weirds, experiments, all in a regular pattern that was a lot like clockwork. Further below, her brother would be turning down the forges and winding the spire down for the night before starting it all over again. Further above, Sidonia would be beginning her patrols around both spires, making sure everything was in order, that all was well each hour, and often reporting on the hour. For as chaotic as the League sometimes was, there was order to the madness. Some blue to go with the red.

The pattern is interrupted by eyes settling on a familar sight in the distance from one of the windows. A glance at the checklist is given, and then a shrug is shown to the empty hall, "Good enough," Rhapsody muses before her footsteps would take her in the direction of her second sister.
Yunomi Stadler     That little mote of chaos in the clockwork is matched by the order that goes in the swirling chaos. It's poetic, really.

Yunomi had been watching the rain, her own patrols completed for the day. Her hair was tied back, the blue and red of her bangs fading and striking into her natural dark brown.

She hears the musing, and her ears flick upwards, turning her attention from the weather to greet Rhapsody with a smile.

"Good evening, Guildmaster," the tanuki pipes up, and offers a pommegranate to her. "Care to join me? I love this show."
Rhapsody     "Sure," comes an all too familiar tone and voice as Rhapsody's hand reaches for the fruit before she starts working it open. Claws always did help with carving one open and popping the seeds out. "The church always says nature's light show is more interesting," the dragon muses before finding herself a seat near by, tail swaying idly. "It looks like you've had a typica Izzet day, Yunomi. I hope it wasn't too explosive, hmm?" Chomp.
Yunomi Stadler     "The usual. Nothing so remarkable." Yunomi replies as she fishes out the little pips of her own fruit. Her fingers have a red tinge to them -- likely from the juices. "They're not wrong. We know as well as anyone the power of the lightning, but it's nice to have the calm of the rain." she gives a small smile, and looks back out over the wet spires. "When I was very young, Oya and I would sit and listen to the rain. It was one of the few times she could get me to be still -- I mean, can you imagine me? A ball of fluff no bigger than your fist, wanting to run right out and take things over?" she asks, holding up her hands to demonstate the size of a tanuki kit.
Rhapsody     A flick. A seed skips off into the rain and the juices start to cause Rhapsody to be the closest she'd ever get to being the same hue as her father. "Most people in Ravnica hardly care for the rain. Sure, the 'green' guilds prefer it but the rest usually don't have a want for it. Even the Izzet, well, the ones that work out doors, .... other than you, just see it as a hinderence. Water and electricity never got along very well," she says, knowing full well they were both aware of the fact.

Pause. "That's a name I'm not entirely familiar with," Rhapsody admits, though she has an idea of who the person was, she hadn't wanted to push much further. "Rain never bothered me... though. Not as much as Ryxinel, anyway."
Yunomi Stadler     "Oya's... was, my caretaker." Yunomi replies, and a nostalgic look crosses her face, her eyes seeing someone long ago. "After O-Asahi gave up her living, human form to contain Oyami, my father, Sakiaro was... I suppose depressed. So he left me in her care and disappeared to Kyoto and Edo. She raised me... and if you think I'm trouble now, imagine a young me, just learning martial arts, how to control my form /and/ without any sort of dicipline." Yunomi gives a grin, and pulls another couple of pips from her fruit. "It's a wonder the shrine stood as long as it did."

She glances out. "It may be that electricity and rain don't mix well.. but sometimes it's good. A period of rest... /you/ constantly remind me that I have to take a break sometime." The tnauki gives a wry grin.
Rhapsody     A moment passes. A chomp, a few more pips, and then a wince slips out between her teeth as she considers the mental image of every single candle in a temple knocked over, half melted, not burning the place down, and a little tanuki in the middle of it all playing with a ball of yarn. "..." THAT'S ADORABLE THOUGH!!! "Eh heh, well, Thianel did teach me the fine art of delegation, and reminded me that there are actually magewrights TRAINED to deal with the Azor. Wish I had known that earlier." Le-shrug. "End of the year paperwork is the -worst-."
Yunomi Stadler     "Thaniel is smart." Yunomi replies. Pip. Pip. "We should listen to him way more often than we do." she adds, and begins to give a grin, turning back to the guildmaster. "You didn't know about the Paperwork Mages?" she teases.
Rhapsody     Chomp. Sigh. "Nnnope. I was so occupied with what I could do, I wasn't thinking about what I -should- do, specifically. I wasn't really left an instruction manual, you know?" no anger or irritation, just an honest tone from an honest dragon. One that was enjoying nature's little show. "I think the Azor may be my 2nd least favorite guild." Do you really need to ask who #1 is?
Yunomi Stadler     "... I think I'm still there." Yunomi replies quietly, and she leans against the window, her head tilts back, and she looks up to the weeping sky. "I'm glad I have you, and Sidonia and Ryxinel here. Without you, I don't know if I would have been able to stay in Ravnica." Yunomi replies honestly. "Niv, Namamura, Kaeruhime... Chuck..." she gives a wince. "I don't think we're ever prepared for what life throws at us. Even with guidence.
Rhapsody     A small sigh. Rhapsody had her own growing list of names, though, she wsan't going to be saying them aloud. "I wouldn't let you be out there alone, Yunomi, not for one single second," the dragon says with an insistant tone. After all that had happened in this city? How long Yunomi had known Niv? There just wasn't a chance. "You're family to me, Yunomi, and you'll always have a home here. And if something happened? I'd build another place for us."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi glances up at Rhapsody, and she shakes her head, and gives a small laugh. "Ah, listen to me getting all depressed, when I've got all this fruit!" she laughs, trying to lighten the mood. She had heard that sigh.

She seems to cause a lot of those recently.

"I dunno, we could become something like ronin. Wandering fighters and inventers, eschew paperwork aquire shenannigans."
Rhapsody     "Shenanigans!" For some reason the guildmaster just loved that word. "Travelling Ravnica, leaving burnt Azor forms in their wake! Shattering regulations and giving lawmages migranes! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA" okay that sounded far to maniacal to be good. CHOMP. No more fruit.
Yunomi Stadler Yunomi Stadler says, "Aah, yes, the life of a few guildless vagabonds..." Yunomi trails off. She digs a few more pips out of her fruit, and chomps down on it.

"By the by, Petals and I were attacked by a couple of guildless with a portable hole who disappeared and almost set me on fire.""
Rhapsody     That gets the dragon's brow to quirk. "Portable hole? Huh. I don't think we have anything like that. Always wanted to build a portal gun but we could never get it to work. They ended up coming up with a really good shower curtain somehow, though. Weird, you know?" what. "I'm sure you let the Boros know, but that is kinda .. unique. Gimmie a hollar if they pop up again, ok?"
Yunomi Stadler     "I will. It was just... strange." Yunomi states, and she unbinds her left hand, stretching burn scars there. "And I've been in communication with the Boros. It happened just inside the Namamura District area." Yunomi replies, and she rubs the back of her head. "I did make a report, but there was only damage to me, and a wall..."
Rhapsody A grunt. Yep. If that's all then there wouldn't really be much of an investigation. "I'll see if I can have someone take a look around, try and see if there's still anything there. And I'll make sure that everything is fixed up too." Pause. Thought. A glance over, "How is everyone holding up over there?"
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi gives a small grin. "Preparing for a winter festival. One of the elders asked if I could... try and find a connection to Kaeruhime, since they'd like to have a shrine in-town. It'd be nice, a little piece of home for the ones who stay." she gives a slight smile, and she shrugs her shoulders. "The people and yokai of Namamura have been through a lot. I think that within Ravnica there will be a chance for lasting peace between the two. Ijiwaru can't really interfere in here."
Rhapsody     "I had been wondering, to be honest. I really wondered if ... well, if they'd stay.. you know? When all of that happened I wanted to be sure everyone had a place to go. If they want to stay, of course, that's not a problem at all. I wouldn't have it any other way.." a smile is given back. "Sometime, and only if you want, I'd like to see it.."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi gives a small pause, and she leans forward, swinging her legs off the warm pipe and letting her feet cool off slightly. "They've made Ravnica their home, now. Some even work as non-magical aids for the Izzet. Some work in the restaurants, others made businesses in the district. For instance..." she pushes off the sill, and floats, upside-down, her hair hanging down as she regards the dragon in an eyte-to-eye manner, "that kimono are becoming VERY popular recently in Ravnica?"
Rhapsody     Welp, the guildmaster won't push that inquiry any further, "Ah haha, I had noticed a few more but I didn't really think about it. I suppose someone has been selling them on Tin Street, then? I can't even begin to imagine an Orzhova-themed kimono.."
Yunomi Stadler     "I don't think the Orzhova types understand fashion." Yunomi gives a grin. "It's all black and white to them."
Rhapsody     "Eh there law mages are usually pretty - .. well. . . . dressed..." Rhapsody's head just slloooooowly turns. "Really?"
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi has that look on her face. That look that screams 'I really want to laugh but I'm trying to keep a serious face'. And then she brings her hands down to her mouth (Since she's still hovering upside-down), and covers it so that she can make a most unlady-like snorting sound, and cover her grin.
Rhapsody     And thaaat's about the time Rhapsody cracks up. Just mix one part pun, one part upside down tanuki, and one part embarassing laugh. Yeah. The guildmaster is losing it. Best laugh in ages.
Yunomi Stadler     And the two friends' laughter fills the otherwise empty hall, on a rainy night in Ravnica.

And far beyond the clouds, above the storm, two stars twinkle brightly, as if they themselves feel the mirth.
